Thank you to every single one of you who is following me, whether you've been here for a long time or more recently, I'm grateful for each of you and I genuinely hope that what I share brings you what you need.
So here are 3 facts about me:
- My 2 biggest catalysts, were Lakota. My teacher, who was also my friend, my father in a past life was a very wise Lakota elder, powerful Medicine Man awoke me to myself, I remembered I'm a pejuta winan ("Medicine Woman" in Lakota Language) and with time, I've awaken some memories of many lifetimes as a shaman.
- I have a University Degree in Languages and Economics and from my very 1st day in kindergarten to my very last day of Uni, I can genuinely say I strongly disliked every second of this whole school journey, it felt horrible, uncomfortable, like I was trapped in a box, in an endless loop of a system I had no interest in... but I was too scared to stay stuck in this that I studied as hard as I could to get the eff out of it asap.
- I healed myself from depression, eating disorders and anxiety, if I could do it, so can you, I'm the living proof that it's possible.

I've been really hard on myself in 2019. Making mental expectations for myself and the people I love that are impossible to reach. Which then in turn makes me feel like a loser. Here are the 3 most common myths about confidence that I come across: 1. Confidence is the absence of fear 2. Some people are born confident, others are not that lucky 3. I cannot create confidence, I must wait for it to come to me Here is my take on confidence: Confidence is not the absence of fear. It is the willingness to take fear along for the ride and try anyway. The mindset is one of willingness to sit with uncertainty about success or failure. This willingness comes from clarity that your actions are in line with your own personal values. It also comes from a self-compassionate mindset. This means knowing that you will have your own back and do the best by yourself, even in the face of failure. Treating yourself with kindness and encouragement rather than contempt and shame takes the sting out of failure. People are not born confident. They learn it from the people they are surrounded by throughout childhood and early adulthood. Learning confidence for the first time as an adult is difficult but not impossible. The trouble with waiting for confidence to come to you, is that it never arrives. That's because confidence does not come before action. The action comes first, then the confidence builds. If you start with small, achievable steps, the confidence grows. Therefore, learning skills such as self-compassion helps to build confidence. You learn to trust yourself that you have your own best interests at heart. You then feel safe to try because you feel safe to fail.
