re: your tags about deleting the youtube app, YES delete the app, HOWEVER you don't have to be appless! try newpipe :) it's a third-party (open source, iirc) app you'll have to google to find, but I've used it for years and swear by it. you can download as a video or variety of audio formats, play in the background, basically it's like having youtube premium but it's a free app and you don't have to sign in if you don't want to :)

I'm totally satisfied with being appless but posting for any followers who might be interested in an improved youtube experience without going through mobile Firefox!
