“No.” You swiped left. “No.” Again. “No.” Again.
“God, when does this game get good?” Felix took a swig from his beer, leaning over the arm of the couch.
“Yeah, I like playing tinder as much as the next guy, but come onnnnn, these men are lame as hell.” Wooyoung rolled his eyes.
“Literally get interesting.” Changbin closed his eyes as he nodded in agreement.
As if on cue, Mingi (25) popped up on the TV your phone was cast to, all dark hair and sharp jawline… and that smirk!
Your own jaw dropped. “Guys, I think I just fell in love.”
“I think I just got hard!” Wooyoung yelled. “Jesus Christ, look at that man!”
“He’s mine!” You yelled back. “My tinder, my man! Claimed!”
“Fuck!” Wooyoung collapsed back against the couch as you swiped right.
The room erupted in screeches as hearts filled the screen, indicating you’d matched.
“Message him, message him!” The voice was so high with excitement it wasn’t immediately recognizable as that of any of your friends, but you hit the ‘message’ button and stared at the text bubble for a second.
“What do I even say to someone that fucking hot?”
“Here. Gimme.” Wooyoung wiggled his fingers, and you handed over your phone. Your eyes widened as you watched him type on the screen. “There.”
You: Ruin me, big boy ;)
“God.” You laughed. “You’re gonna scare him off.”
“No, I’m not, we workshopped your profile forever. You look hot as hell. You’re gonna be thanking me.” You watched as he swiped into Mingi’s profile. “See, he’s looking for short-term fun.”
“Short-term fun.” Felix hummed. “I know that means hookups, but I kinda hope he sticks around. Just because he’s nice to look at.”
“He hasn’t even—” You started, but Wooyoung cut you off with a squeal.
“He responded!”
“Give me my phone!” You snatched it from his hand.
Mingi: I can do that, baby ;)
Your stomach leapt.
“Get his location right fucking now.” Wooyoung ordered.
You began typing something out.
You: Time and place and I’ll be there
Changbin giggled. “Y/n’s getting some!”
“Hell yeah, y/n’s getting some!” You took a sip of your cocktail as you went back to his pictures. “How do people even look like this? He’s so hot.”
Mingi: An hour and a half work? Here’s the address.
You looked up the address as soon as he sent it. It was a nice apartment building downtown. Felix’s boyfriend Chan actually lived there.
“I’ll tell Chan you’ll be over there in an hour and a half.” Felix had a twinkle in his eye as he whipped out his phone. “If Mingi’s a dick, or a creep, you can go to his place.”
You nodded. “Sounds good.”
You: I’ll see you in an hour and a half <3
You went upstairs to get ready, showering quickly and changing into a matching underwear set and a cute but casual outfit.
Wooyoung clapped as you walked down the stairs. “Beautiful, y/n. Tell me how he is. And if he’s into men. And if he might possibly be into me.”
“He’s hooking up with her, Woo. Not you.” Changbin said bluntly.
“Maybe he’s bi!”
Felix ignored them, smiling at you. “Have fun and be safe, y/n, make sure your location’s on.”
You checked your phone to make sure you were sharing your location with Felix. “All set! Bye!”
You made your way downtown, parking and walking the rest of the way. You texted him when you got to the lobby and leaned against a pillar.
You almost weren’t expecting Mingi to be real, but he walked out of the elevator with the gait and confidence of a supermodel. He was dressed in all black, he was tall, and in person that smirk had the cockiness of someone who could back it up, no matter what was required to do that.
Your pussy throbbed as he looked at you, his smirk growing.
“Y/n…” He crossed the lobby, eyes looking you up and down. “You look even better than your pictures.”
“You’re pretty fucking hot yourself.” You managed to get out.
He laughed softly. “Oh, am I? A pretty girl like you telling me that is gonna inflate my ego.”
“Lucky for you, I like a man with a god complex.”
“God complex, huh? I think that can be arranged.”
“Oh, can it?” You raised your eyebrows.
“You’re gonna be worshipping me.” He winked.
“I’d love to worship you.” You whispered back.
“Then come upstairs.”
As soon as you made it into his apartment, Mingi pushed you against the wall, trapping you in with one hand and kissing you hard. His lips were demanding, and his tongue licked into your mouth. You moaned, your head already growing dizzy from the kiss.
“Good girl.” He hummed.
“Mingi…” You whined.
He pulled away. “What do you want to do tonight?”
You thought for a second. “I wanna suck your cock.”
He leaned in by your ear. “Can I call you a good little cocksucker?”
It felt like he’d lit you on fire. “Yes, please call me your good little cocksucker.”
“Then on your knees.”
You sank to the floor, unzipping his pants.
He pushed them and his boxers down, and his cock sprang free, already red and hard and big.
You reached around it, pumping the shaft a few times. “Fuck.” You whispered. You could barely wait to get it inside you.
“What, I thought you wanted to worship me.” He smirked.
In response to that, you opened your jaw and pushed yourself down on his cock.
He groaned, his hand finding your hair and balling into a fist. “Fuck, such a good cocksucker. So good for me.”
You focused on the feeling of him in your mouth, the heat of his skin. He was easily the biggest guy you’d been with, but you didn’t let that intimidate you, pushing yourself further and further down on his cock.
His grip on your hair tightened, and he gently began to rock his hips back and forth, gently fucking your face. “Good girl. Good fucking girl. Taking me so well, sucking my cock like you were made for it.”
You moaned around him, fighting to keep your jaw relaxed.
His hips picked up the pace, quickly but gently fucking into your mouth. “Good girl, good girl, good— ngh!” He pulled out of your mouth to cum on your face, groaning as he stroked himself. As cum painted your features, you thought you’d never seen someone so hot.
“You want me to fuck you now? Properly, not your mouth.” He panted.
“Yes.” You moaned. “Yes, Mingi, please.”
“Okay, my good girl. Lets’ go to my bedroom.”
You got up, following him into the bedroom. It was tidy, with grey sheets on the bed and an attached bathroom.
“Clothes off, and on the bed.” Mingi ordered. You hurried to obey, spreading yourself out on the bed for him.
“Fuck.” He said as he took off his own pants, his eyes raking over your form.
“Fuck me.” You whimpered.
“Don’t worry, my good girl, I will.” He left his shirt on as he crawled over you on the bed. “I’ll fuck you within an inch of your life, if you’ll let me.”
“Please, Mingi, please fuck me within an inch of my life.”
“Fuck, begging?” He kissed you, hard. “You’re so fucking hot, y/n.”
He lined himself up with your entrance and began to push inside. You moaned as his tip stretched you.
“Perfect little— ngh, fuck.” Mingi pushed in further, his voice growing strained.
You couldn’t say anything your mouth forming a little ‘o’ as you burned in pleasure.
He seated himself fully inside you, and you stayed like that for a moment, with Mingi deep inside you, connected.
And then he started moving, and you thought you might cum on the spot. He was big, but he felt even bigger inside you, especially as he started fucking you in earnest, pushing in and out with a fervor.
You moaned, clutching at the sheets. “Fuck, fuck, Mingi, ah, God…”
“Feel so good, my good girl, so tight around me, such a good little hole for me.” He grunted. “We gotta do this again, because God I love fucking you.” He caressed your cheek. “Takin’ my cock so well.”
“Yeah, anytime you want.” You breathed, meaning it.
“Anytime I want, huh?” He pushed into you in a hard thrust. “I’m gonna take you up on that, my good girl.”
“Please do.” You whined. “Your good girl.”
“I’m gonna ruin you for anyone else.” He whispered. “Ruin me, big boy, that’s what you said, right? I’m gonna fucking ruin you.”

socialstuck fic given... recent events :3c
Reddit would consider Tumblr… a friend. maybe. As far as he could tell, Tumblr didn’t think of him at all- embarrassing, considering the small but existent pedestal Reddit held him on but whatever. Reddit, Tumblr, and 4Chan seemed to be the last anonymous sites out there, as far as Reddit knew. and 4Chan was beyond antisocial so once again, that just left Tumblr.
Reddit’s home was collapsing. The carefully built in technology he’d curated over so many years to help everyone he could was getting outlawed, and as a result every part of his home that relied on it was collapsing. Which was… most of it, really.
But… Tumblr wasn’t open to taking in people for charity, he’d made that very clear when Twitter was in an eerily similar situation. And those two used to be matesprites. What hope did Reddit have in comparison?
All this to say that Reddit had been standing outside of Tumblr’s door for nearly an hour, and it was starting to snow. Worst he could say is no, right? Well, that wasn’t true. He could say ‘ew’.
Taking a deep breath and brushing the powdered snow off his shoulders, Reddit knocked.
The door slammed open, and Reddit was greeted with the blade of an axe to his face. He screamed and backed up, hands shooting up innocently. “I’m sorry I’m sorry! I’ll-”
“Oh.” Tumblr lowered the weapon, placing it against the wall. “Thought you were another bot. What are you doing here?”
“Um…”
Tumblr took a step out into the cold, shivering slightly under his suit jacket and eyeing Reddit intensely. “You’re not a bot, right? What’s five (5) times five (5)?”
“...25?”
Tumblr nodded, absconding the single step back inside. “Firefox, it’s cold out here. Come in, dude.”
Well, Reddit was allowed inside for the moment, and he gratefully took it, kicking his boots against the welcome mat as he stepped in. “I don’t know if you heard but, Spez-”
“Oh I heard,” Tumblr spat as he shut the door. “Another fucking corporation fucking over disabled people to make a quick buck.” He shook his head in disgust. “Can I offer you a drink?”
“Sure?”
Tumblr headed into the kitchen without another word, and after a moment of standing in place stupidly, Reddit decided the best course of action was to follow a few feet behind.
“congrats on the protesting, by the way,” Tumblr stated as he rummaged through the cupboards. “Takes guts to cost a corpo that much money.”
"th-thanks." Reddit twiddled with his thumbs and hid his smile in his hoodie. "but, because of all that my house is… well it's a mess. it's falling apart, the lights aren't working, and the locks have all been changed so…"
Tumblr sighed, pulling a carton of some strong-smelling drink from the cupboard and pouring two cups. "What is it with everyone coming to me when faced with homelessness? I'm honoured, maybe?"
"I mean- I don't think Spez will keep this shit up I just need a place to crash until… if you have the space, I mean."
Tumblr pushed the drink into Reddits hands, just listening for now as he leaned against the counter and downed his own drink in seconds.
Reddit took a single sip before immediately deciding never to do that again. "bluh… anyway, i, uh…" Reddit spoke quickly, as if that would make the next sentence any less embarrassing. "I enjoy a lot of your content and made quite a few snoos after you so I should be able to acclimate-"
"ah, stop you flatter me," Tumblr made a show of fanning his cheeks dramatically, playful grin making Reddit feel all sorts of pale things he was desperately trying to ignore. "multiple? I knew about r/Tumblr but… oh, I guess there's r/CuratedTumblr and r/196, practically. and... r/TumblrCringe."
Reddit had no excuses for that.
"but I know a lot of my bigger users carry fame across your platforms as well so clearly you've got good taste." Tumblr hummed thoughtfully. "I'll think about it. where are you staying right now?"
well, a few minutes ago he was staying outside of Tumblrs door. and before he walked over he was living on his own porch leaning against the locked door. but mostly he was living nowhere and bouncing around to distract himself from the fact that he was living nowhere.
"oh," was Tumblrs subdued response to Reddits silence. "how long do you think you'll…?"
"48 hours, hopefully."
"well… that's not long at all. I got a couch you can sleep on until then and… you're a hell of a lot more respectful than Twitter was…" he patted Reddit on the arm with a smile. "let me show you around."
Reddit let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding before following Tumblr further inside the house. "thanks."
"not a problem! stay as long as you need."

____________________________________________________
“How much longer do we have to stay here?” Sam groaned from his spot on the carpeted floor of their soundbooth, staring up at the paneled ceiling with dread.
“Until we get this track right,” Jake called to him as he took a seat on a rickety old stool for a quick rest. “We’re almost there.”
“You said that 25 minutes ago,” Sam protested. “You big liar.”
“It is almost 2am,” Danny pointed out from behind his kit. “Maybe we’d be better off giving it another try tomorrow.”
“We’re close though,” Jake stood back to his feet and strapped his guitar on. “Trust me, we’ll get it in the next three takes.”
“This is agony,” Sam groaned.
Josh came over the intercom from behind the mixing board with a bit of feedback, making Jake, Sam, and Danny all jump.
“Ready for take 21?” he asked. Sam scowled at his brother but finally shook his head in frustrated acceptance and slowly rose back to his feet with a loud crack. Jake gave the audio technician a thumbs up and they heard the metronome sound ticking in their headphones, counting them off. “Play your hearts out, boys,” Josh told them.
Much to Sam and Danny’s dismay, Jake wasn’t satisfied until 15 takes later. Sam had tried to run out of the studio on multiple occasions, but Josh kept grabbing him and tugging him back to the booth, reminding him that their time in the studio was costing them an arm and a leg, and he was being a big baby. So, when Jake unplugged his guitar from the amp with a crackling snap, Sam had every right to let out a deep groan and collapse back to the floor in relief. Danny tossed his drumsticks off to the side and then, in a similar fashion, flopped beside Sam.
“I just want this album to take us to the next level,” Jake tried to defend himself. Both Sam and Danny held up their hands to make him stop talking.
“I thought take 4 sounded great,” Danny said. “I don’t think we needed 36 takes.”
“My tone wasn’t quite right,” Jake shrugged. “I feel really good about take 36 though.”
“That one’s definitely the one,” Josh agreed as he entered the room. “That’s gotta break our personal record, huh? Sixteen hours in the studio is pretty impressive.”
Sam let out another deep groan.
“We can come in late tomorrow,” Josh looked to Jake for confirmation. “I think we all deserve to sleep in a bit.”
“I think I deserve to not come into the studio for a week,” Sam tried to barter. “I want to camp out in the middle of nowhere where I don’t have to look at any of your stupid faces or think about stupid music or sound mixing or bass lines.”
“Wow,” Danny sounded genuinely hurt. “Okay.”
“He’s just crabby,” Josh consoled Danny. “He gets like this when he doesn’t get his nap.”
Sam shrugged like he couldn’t argue with Josh. Jake finished tucking his Gibson into his guitar case and then joined Josh, standing over Danny and Sam. He was starting to form some pretty impressive bags under his eyes because, even though he was the night owl of the family, playing for that long and that hard really did take a toll on him.
“I’m gonna go to the lobby, can I grab you guys anything from the snack bar?” he offered in an attempt to make a truce with his disgruntled bandmates.
“I’ll take a bag of SunChips,” Sam decided from the ground.
“Just a water, please,” Danny gave Jake a small smile. Jake grinned back, a wave of relief washing over him that at least Danny wasn’t pissed beyond belief at him and his perfectionism. Thank god Danny was such a naturally understanding person at heart because, god, did Jake do things that would set any other person over the edge.
Before Josh could put in a request, Jake waved goodbye and booked it out of the room, putting his head down to hurry to the lobby.
“Wait, I want a banana!” Josh called after him.
“Sounds like a you problem!” Jake yelled back.
He reached the lobby and, after a quick scan, made sure to fetch everything that Sam and Danny wanted, and went out of his way to forget Josh’s banana. The exhaustion was catching up to him fast, so he fixed himself a cup of coffee to help him get back to his house in one piece and then turned on his heel to return to the studio. As his white vans clicked down the linoleum floor, he started to whistle the guitar part for one of their new tracks. His eyes were set on their studio door at the end of the hall but, out of his peripheral vision, he saw something that made him slow down. His whistling faded and he pivoted back around on his heel to face the door that he had just passed to his left. He pursed his lips as he took in what looked like a beam of bright light trying to come out from behind the door. Overwhelmed with confusion and intrigue, Jake backed up even farther so he was directly in front of the door, and had to squint his eyes to inspect it. Standing closer to it, he could feel that the hallway was significantly warmer.
“What the?” he whispered. If his arms weren’t full of food and drinks he would have grabbed for the door handle, but instead he squeezed his eyes shut and reopened them to make sure what he was seeing was really real. The white light pouring from the cracks in the frame looked pretty damn real.
Just to make sure his exhausted brain wasn’t playing tricks on him, he turned away from the door and hustled back to the studio. Sam, Danny, and Josh were all sprawled on the floor now, but they lifted their heads up slightly as Jake let himself back into the booth.
“I need to show you guys something,” he said as he handed Danny his water, Sam his chips, and gave Josh a middle finger when he held his hands out for a banana.
“Hey man, fuck you,” Josh frowned at his brother. “I don’t want to go with you if you’re gonna be mean to me.”
“No, please, I promise, you’ll want to see this. I need you to see this.”
“Did you drop an entire case of beer again?” Danny let out a yawn.
“Just, come with me,” Jake decided to reply, since he really wasn’t sure how to even begin to describe the door. Plus, he liked there being an air of mystery about the whole thing.
Even though Sam had been the most vocal in his frustration earlier, he was apparently the most willing to humor Jake since he clutched onto a nearby wooden stool to pull himself upright. Danny watched his friend stand up and, with a sigh, joined Sam and Jake. They all looked down at Josh, who was laying on his back with his arms folded over his chest.
“You’re gonna miss out,” Jake told him.
“I’m already missing out on a banana, I don’t care.”
“Suit yourself,” Jake shrugged. He opened the door for Sam and Danny, and they disappeared from the studio. Jake tried to catch a glimpse of the mysterious door as he led Sam and Danny down the hallway and grinned when he saw that the light was still pouring from it. Behind them, Josh’s footsteps grew closer as he ran to catch up.
“I’m getting a banana, I don’t care what Jake’s showing you guys,” Josh explained himself, though he didn’t move past them to the lobby. Instead, they all cautiously approached the door.
“The fuck?” Sam asked when he caught sight of the rays of light.
“Who’s supposed to be in there right now?” Danny asked.
They checked to see if any names were listed on the calendar posted next to the door, but there was nothing.
“It looks like it’s open,” Josh announced. “But maybe Helios is dropping a track in there,” he added as a second thought.
Sam was studying the door, deep in thought.
“Maybe someone left some lighting equipment in there for a music video or photoshoot?” he guessed. “And they just forget to turn it all off?”
“Are we gonna open it?” Josh turned to Jake. Jake was staring intently at the door once more, debating the pros and cons of opening it.
Con: there could be something weird behind there
Pro: there could be something weird behind there
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” Danny spoke up. “Why don’t we just let management know, and they can send someone over to check it out? I just wanna get back to my bed and sleep.”
“Don’t you think it’s funny,” Jake started, his eyes still focused on the light, “that we write an entire album about a heavenly gate, and now we’re facing something that looks exactly like that?”
“It is strange,” Josh admitted.
“It seems to me like it’s something we’re meant to open,” Jake decided. He was, of course, talking out of his ass, but he wanted to provide a better reason for opening the door other than that he was curious and he had a hard time determining the severity of the consequences of his actions.
Danny opened his mouth like he was prepared to give a rebuttal, but before he could get his word in, Jake lurched for the rounded door handle and, through grit teeth in response to the heat of the doorknob, twisted and pushed it open. Almost immediately they were all blinded by the light, which they responded to with grunts, flinching away.
“Okay, maybe those aren’t set lights,” Sam said while he covered his eyes with his hands. “Jesus Christ, that’s blinding.”
Josh reached into his jumpsuit pocket and retrieved a pair of sunglasses, which he quickly put on. Unfortunately, he quickly discovered that the glasses did next to nothing to spare his eyes from the searing beam. What he was able to see, though, was Jake walking directly into it.
“What are you doing?” he called out in shock.
“It’s not gonna hurt me,” Jake said over his shoulder.
“Literally the one thing they tell you is to not go towards the light.”
“This feels like a different kind of light.”
“What the hell does that mean? How do you distinguish the difference between light?”
“Are you gonna grab him or keep arguing with him?” Sam asked from behind Josh, just barely opening his eyes so he could see what was going on. “He’s gonna do something stupid.”
“Uh, guys,” Danny’s voice shook.
“What?” Josh and Sam asked.
“He’s gone.”
Although it was near impossible to see anything other than the striking white color pouring out of the door, it was clear that Jake was no longer standing with them.
“For the love of God,” Josh groaned out. “Why the fuck did he do that?”
“You were distracted with Sam and he shot me some finger guns and hopped through the door,” Danny caught them up to speed. “Do you think he’s dead?”
“He’s not dead,” Josh was quick to respond. “I would have sensed it.”
That earned him a snort from Sam.
“I swear, there’s academic articles out there about twin telepathy,” Josh felt it was worthwhile in that moment to defend himself against his younger brother’s scrutiny.
“Jake?” Danny cautiously called into the light, “Are you in there, bud?”
They were met with deafening silence.
“Literally say anything,” Danny tried again, panic rising in his voice. They waited a few beats, but not a single sound was uttered from the other side.
“We have to go in after him,” Josh declared. “And drag his stupid ass back here.”
“I’m not going in there,” Sam shook his head. “I’m going to bed.”
“You know you’re not gonna be able to sleep because you’ll be worried about Jake,” Josh raised an eyebrow. “C’mon, Sam.”
“I want you both to know that being in a band with all of you has easily taken years off of my life,” Danny told the two brothers. Then, he faced the door, let out a short huff, and stepped through it.
Sam’s face was scrunched in discomfort, not only from the light, but also the situation at hand. It was unclear what laid beyond the door, and Sam had no rational explanation for what could be going on, but he had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that he wasn’t going to enjoy a good night’s sleep in his own bed for a while.
“Do you want to hold my hand?” Josh asked, holding his sweaty palm up to Sam. Sam looked like he was contemplating it for a second, but finally pushed it away and pointed at the door.
“We’re going through there together, that’s all I want.”
Josh couldn’t argue with that so, after giving Sam a reassuring pat on the shoulder, they stood together and squeezed through the tight door frame, entering into the light.
It was a bizarre experience: while standing near the light had provided a similar sensation to being in front of a fire pit, once they moved deeper in, the air actually grew colder, like the Michigan winters from their childhood. The light continued to sear their eyes, building in intensity to the point where it was still bright with their eyes closed and covered by their hands. Sam and Josh both felt some kind of force latch onto them at the same time, which they responded to with nervous squeaks, and then, like a nightmare roller coaster, they lurched forward.
If Sam wasn’t so terrified, he would have smacked his older brother for whooping with glee as they were thrust in some unknown direction at a speed that Sam couldn’t fathom. While they whipped around, he was burdened with worry about how they were going to safely stop and, more importantly, exactly where they were going to stop. Their bodies jerked to the left and to the right, and then Sam felt a warmth that they were rapidly approaching.
“Brace yourself!” He thought he could hear Josh yell over the rush of wind that was passing by Sam’s ears. It was hard to move, but he managed to shakily reach his hands up towards his head and cover it, alongside pulling his knees up into his chest in the fetal position. He opened his eyes for a brief moment, still stunned by the brightness of everything, but saw Josh slightly up ahead, doing flips in the air while yelling out in joy. Just beyond Josh, Sam could see that the white light was starting to break into some kind of green hue. And it looked like that was directly where they were headed.
It happened so fast Sam couldn’t process anything that was happening in real-time, but they shot out from some kind of cloud, did a freefall for about ten feet, and then landed with a thud in a grassy field. As upset as Sam was with his brothers for forcing him to jump through some mysterious, magic doorway, he was grateful that Josh had half a heart to warn him about a landing. Still, he was in shock from everything, so he opted to lay in the grass, facing the sky that had magically cleared of any strange clouds or scalding heat.
“Oh shit, are you dead?” he heard Josh ask to his right. The sound of Josh’s footsteps came closer, and then he saw his older brother leaning directly over his head, his eyes bright. “Hiya, Sammy.”
“Hiya,” Sam softly replied back. “What the fuck just happened?”
“Probably something the human mind can’t comprehend,” Josh replied with a smile. “I wonder how far away Jake and Danny are.”
At the thought of poor Danny going through that on his own, Sam sprung back to his feet, which seemed to surprise Josh since he backed up a few steps.
“They can’t be too far away, right?” Sam asked. Josh shrugged. They both took a second to scan around them to get a better sense of where they could possibly be. Low, rolling green hills surrounded them on all sides and, in the distance, a grove of trees were standing tall. The air was humid, but a light breeze made it easier to breathe, which Sam sucked in. “It feels like the east coast,” he commented. “Up north.”
“I don’t think we’re in Nashville anymore,” Josh agreed.
“Danny?” Sam cupped his hands around his mouth to shout. “DANNY?” he tried again.
“Hey, hey,” Josh put a hand on Sam’s shoulder to stop him. “We don’t know where we are. I think we need to lay low until we find more answers.”
“I just want to find my friend,” Sam frowned. “He could be hurt for all we know.”
“We’ll climb to the top of one of those hills and get the eagle eye view, how about that?” Josh attempted to compromise. “You should be able to see him from up there.”
Sam couldn’t argue with that logic, so they set their sights on the tallest hill and started to climb. Sam didn’t appreciate how evident it was that he was ridiculously out of shape, but he was glad that he could pretend to be intently searching around for Danny while he was actually catching his breath. He and Josh stood back to back, scanning around, trying to catch a glimpse of anything that even slightly resembled their band members when Josh let out a small gasp.
“Found them,” he announced.
Josh tugged on Sam’s shoulder to point him in the right direction, and Sam couldn’t help but let out a chuckle when he caught sight of Danny and Jake about 100 yards away, walking side by side through the grass, entirely unscathed. Without another word, Sam started to jog down the hill towards them. Sure, he was out of shape, but he needed some form of consolation that they were okay and they hadn’t just made the biggest mistake of their lives by passing through that damn door.
“Oh, thank God,” Sam was greeted by Danny when he approached him and Jake. “We had started to assume that you guys stayed behind.”
“What the hell is going on?” Sam demanded Jake, moving past Danny to grab ahold of Jake’s loose button up shirt so he could pull him close.
“Still working on an answer to that one,” Jake choked. “Will get back to you soon though.”
“Let him go, Sammy,” Josh said as he approached the group. Sam looked hesitant, but after hearing Jake make a few more gagging noises, he threw him back down so he stumbled around a bit before regaining his balance. “I’ve got a couple of theories about what just happened,” Josh continued. He held up three fingers, which his bandmates wearily watched. “One,” Josh started, “we’re dead.”
“Man, I hope not,” Danny commented.
“Two,” Josh pointed to his second finger, “we somehow managed to find a portal that brought us to a different dimension.”
“That could be fun,” Jake looked around at everyone and was met by frowns.
“Or three, someone drugged us back at the studio.”
“I’m feeling like it’s gotta be option three,” Sam declared. “The other two are baloney.”
“I hope we went through a portal,” Jake’s mind was somewhere else. “Wouldn’t that be cool?”
“Not really,” Danny murmured. “I kinda want to go back home.”
“It’s an adventure!” Jake exclaimed, clapping his hands together. “An opportunity for us to grow and learn things about each other!”
“That sounds awful,” Sam’s brow was furrowed. “I’m not in the mood for any kind of self-discovery or whatever.”
“You’ve got no other choice, Sammy boy,” Jake clasped him on the back, which nearly sent him toppling over. “You stepped through that door, now we have to find our way back.”
“I hate you,” was all Sam could say in response.
Jake seemed to take no offense to that, since he linked arms with Josh and started to skip away from Danny and Sam, down the hill towards the horizon, singing at the top of his lungs,
“We’re off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz!”
“What do you think is going on?” Sam turned to Danny after watching his twin brothers skip off into the distance. Danny looked as troubled as Sam felt, which at least brought him some comfort in knowing that he wasn’t the only one in the group who was capable of even a sliver of rational thought.
“I couldn’t tell you, but I can confidently say that I’m on the brink of panicking.”
“You and me both,” Sam sighed. Together, they followed behind Jake and Josh, who had managed to move so far ahead that they were ant-sized in the distance. “We’ll be okay though, I think.”
Danny looked like he really wanted to believe Sam, but there was still a deep frown stuck on his face.
“I really wish Jake thought sometimes before he did things.”
“It’s pretty hard to turn him away from bright, shiny things, Danny. No amount of convincing could have deterred him away from going through that door.”
“Hey! Guys!” Josh was hollering to them.
“What?” Sam screamed back.
“We found something!” Josh’s voice could just barely be heard. Danny and Sam exchanged a quick glance and then tore in Jake and Josh’s direction. Even though they were trying their hardest to remain composed on the outside, both of them were dying to know what situation they had gotten caught in.
When they reached Jake and Josh, they saw that Josh was closely studying a piece of paper that had been left strewn in a muddy patch in the field. Jake leaned over Josh’s shoulder and seemed to be scanning the words as well, his eyes dancing around the page.
“What’s that?” Sam pointed towards the damaged paper.
“It’s a clue,” Josh looked up. “A huge clue about where we are.”
“I didn’t know this was possible,” Jake mused to himself from behind Josh with a joyful chuckle.
Danny couldn’t tolerate the anticipation anymore since he ripped the paper from Josh’s hands and quickly skimmed it over.
“What. The. Fuck,” his eyes were wide as he lowered the paper. “What the actual fuck.”
Jake gave Danny a childlike grin.
“Right? Right?” He could barely contain his excitement. Danny twisted the paper around so Sam, who was feeling really confused, could take a look.
“Three days of peace and music,” he read aloud. “Bethel, New York. August 15-17, 1969.”
“So you guys think,” Danny was trying to make sense of everything, “we traveled back in time?”
“To the summer of 69,” Jake’s smile stretched from ear to ear.
“Lord help us,” Sam moaned, letting the paper fall back into the mud.

Part 25
Family is More than Blood
@secretdreamlandmentality @icefrye19
Yet the voice that whispered in my ear and covered my mouth with their freehand made me relax. “Rae, Raelyn. Calm down, it’s okay. You’re okay.”
“Nik…” I muffled my voice into his palm moving my hands up so I could pull his hand away from my mouth.
He gently but quickly spun me around still holding me closer to his embrace. But I gripped his forearms and I slumped my shoulders in relief, scanning my eyes over his face not believing he was here. “Rae…Oh thank goodness Josie was right about this.”
“How are you here right now. Did you jump into Malivore or something?” I sniffed through tears trying to figure out how he was really here.
He squeezed my forearms, looping his hand in my left hand scanning the room for a way out. “I’ll explain that later but let’s just say Valerie, Bonnie and your brother are very strong witches when they work together. Bonnie and Valerie are letting Jacob siphon from them so we just have to find him in this world and get back to our version of this one pony town.”
“What do you mean find him in this world?” I questioned him tugging his hand before he could move any further.
Klaus shifted his gaze downward to mine. “He said he would be in a place we knew quite well, you and I. I can only assume he means the mansion. So we need to go before the spell breaks.”
“Klaus, wait. We can’t leave here without the Ascendant. Kai is awake in this world and he is looking for Bennett's blood. There’s always a full moon here so if he finds the blood then he can - urgh ohhh!” Grabbing my head I lowered myself down onto my knees feeling a high amount of pain shoot through my head.
Klaus reached for my hand not seeing anything or anyone who could be hurting me. “Raelyn?”
“Klaus!” I winced holding my head feeling something being pressed into my back near my heart.
The figure finally revealed themselves to the pair to be Kai who was stabbing me in the back with one of Alaric’s stakes hidden in the house. “Hey there, Nikky. Look at that Rae Rae your dear husband thinks he can save you. Well he would be wrong-“
Kai was cut off however when somebody was launched into his neck and he collapsed onto the wooden floor behind me. Uncovering my ears I gasped feeling relief to see that what had killed my cousin was a red graduation cap that he had found. “Thank goddess there good for something else. We…we have to find it so he can’t get out.”
“Easy love. We have to go before he wakes up again.” Klaus opened his arms that I embraced very quickly, wrapping my arms around him.
Sniffing into his chest I croaked through some tears squeezing his hand in mine. “Yeah, yeah. Let’s find my brother.” We vamped out of the house where I thought back to a time when we weren’t even considering Kai Parker being a problem and all we had to worry about was our babies.
Mystic High graduation was today and we had gotten an announcement about it from Caroline meaning that we were expected to come or we would never hear the end of it. Caroline had been blowing up his phone since Damon needed his blood cure for a werewolf bite. “I wonder if I should remind the Salvatore brothers what they would do if they had successfully killed me. They wouldn’t have their cure and be dead.”
“Let’s not think about the ‘ what if you weren’t here situation ‘ even though the constant ringing of your phone is driving my vampire hearing nuts.” I looped my arm through Klaus’s sending him a half smile at the sound of his phone going off again for the 20th time.
Klaus paused in his step squeezing my arm looped in his hearing Caroline groaning in the distance. “Good thing their colors are red because we might have to spill some blood today, Rae.” His gaze noticed an abandoned graduation cap on the ground that he picked up.
“Remember us Caroline.” A witch that I didn’t recognize had her hand raised while standing beside some other witches who were hurting her, Elena and Stefan.
Klaus removed his arm from mine, launching the graduation cap at the head witch and removing her head, killing her. “There are plenty more of these to go around…Who’s next. I can do this all day.” He smiled, tossing another cap from one hand to the other.
Revealing my fangs I opened my freehand creating a fireball showing the witches I meant business too. “Trust me you don’t want to fight a pregnant heretic!”
“Raelyn…Klaus…” Caroline gasped in relief looking over her shoulder at us with a smile.
Waving to the vampire blonde I smiled resting one hand on my growing stomach wearing a new red dress Klaus had bought me that I could wear since most of my other clothes didn’t fit. “Hi Care Bear. I knew better than to miss your graduation.”
“You better be here for this. I haven’t seen you since we got the cure for vampirism. I can’t believe you’re close to having your baby - uh babies according to Bonnie.” She flung her arms around me in a hug and I embraced her back with the same energy.
Breaking the hug we shared I moved back over to Klaus who put the graduation cap on top of my head sending me a cheeky smile. “You look rather beautiful in that cap, Rae.”
“You only say that because red is your favorite color, Nik.” I smirked getting an idea in my head he wouldn’t entirely enjoy.
He stepped closer to me tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. “What are you thinking with that little smirk of yours, Raelyn?”
Removing the cap from my head I quickly put it over his face catching him off guard whispering in his ear before I vamped off somewhere else. “I’m thinking this….come catch me Klaus.”
“Raelyn!" He growled, removing the graduate cap, tossing it on the floor, seeing that I was nowhere to be seen.
Caroline raised her hand seeing his eyes turn gold. "Klaus."
"She knows I love the hunt." He shook his head vamping off to find me nor caring about the rest of the graduation ceremony.
We quickly entered the mansion searching around for my brother, not finding him in the main doorway. Vamping upstairs isn’t his bedroom in the house that Klaus had given him. I kicked the door open still not finding any sign of him being here like I thought. “Jacob!”
“Rae!” He called out my name from the closet where I couldn’t see him until he revealed himself having used the invisible spell.
Rushing towards my brother we both vamped into the others arms not caring when we toppled to the carpet floor and never broke the embrace. Sniffing through tears I broke the hug remembering that we weren’t out of the woods yet. “J, I have to tell Nik and then we need to get out of here."
"Okay just hurry. I don't want to have to face Kai again if we don't have to." He responded by letting me go out into the hallway.
Peaking my head out the door I called for my husband. "Nik!" He vamped into the bedroom within a second eyeing my brother.
"Alright so all you have to do is cut your palms and hold my hands. Then I can pull you both out according to Bonnie and Valerie who I am channeling." My twin explained flipping over his hands revealing his opened palms.
Klaus raised his right hand to his mouth using his fangs to cut his palm leaving his other hand to simply intertwine with mine. "Shall we, love?"
"Let’s get the hell home." Placing my hand in his, I also bite into my palm taking my brother's hand.
Jacob closed his eyes chanting the spell they must have told him to say. "Phasmatos tribum, invocia cavea, misero mundi…Phasmatos tribum, invocia cavea, misero mundi!" Shutting my eyes I released a breath feeling Jacob's magic running through my veins and our bodies collapse onto the ground until a few seconds later I shot upright frantically looking around to see that we were laying in a circle of candles with the Ascendant hovering above us in the air briefly coming down to clank on the wooden floor.
“Mom!” Whipping my head around I recognized the voice of Hope and saw her standing outside the circle of burning candles.
Hugging my knees to my chest I scrambled to my feet vamping out of the circle staring at the auburn haired girl before me. “Hope….oh my gosh.” I heard my voice crack with thousands of memories flooding back into my mind before I vamped sped into her bear hugging her.
“I can’t believe you jumped into Malivoire to remember me.” She sniffs through tears mumbling into my shoulder hugging me back.
Squeezing her tightly I heard Klaus and Jacob wake up shortly after regaining their consciousness. “I’m sorry, honey. I just…I knew that something wasn’t right. I’m just happy that we’re both back.”
“Guys we have a problem!” Missy vamped into the room all in a panic.
Klaus came up behind me with Alina sending her the same confused look. “What’s the matter, Melissa?”
“I went to tell Lizzie and Josie that you were back mom but when I went to their room they weren’t there. Uncle Alaric isn’t anywhere to be found either.” She responded by brushing hair out of her eyes.
Henrik ran over and hugged my leg, whimpering slightly. “Mommy, what does that mean?”
“They wouldn’t just disappear without taking anything or telling anyone where they were going so it can’t be for a good reason.” Gulping thickly I heard someone coming down the hallway from Emma’s therapy office revealing that it was Alysssa Chang who was smirking proudly about something.
Klaus tilted his head to the side picking up on her composure. “What’s got you all high and mighty Ms. Chang?”
“Oh hi Mikaelson’s. I didn’t think you would actually get Raelyn back. Good for you.” She halted in her tracks briefly but moved as fast as possible to the doorway in an attempt to leave.
Hope spun around on her heels raising her hand and launching the witch up against the wall baring her teeth. “Mitten prohibere. I think we need to have a chat. What the hell did you do?”
“I don’t have to tell you anything.” Alysssa scoffed.
Klaus strides forward past Hope who still had her hand raised watching her father grab the teenage witch by her throat choking her. “You do realize that I can tear you limb from limb if you don’t tell us what we want to know correctly.”
“Dad..” Henrik made a whimper again.
Stepping up to my husband I snagged his wrist stopping him before he would try and do anything drastic in front of our youngest. “Don’t do anything to her. Hope, let her go. I can handle her, just take Henrik up to bed.”
“Okay.” She drops her hand picking up her brother and leaving the rest of us there.
Turning my attention back to Alyssa she was standing in front of the wall until I used my strength pressing her into the wall hearing some of her bones breaking. “You may think that you’re powerful but you’re not when it’s against a heretic ... .Veritas tempos!”
“Urgh!!... .I sent them to a prison world. I heard that Dr. S was going to send the Ascendent away after the twins sent the Sand Clock to a new prison world. I knew they would have to bring it back to save you but now there’s no longer a full moon or myteiorshower to bring them back.” She rambled off through grunts of pain since I was still holding her harshly against the world.
Snapping my fingers I knocked her out onto the wooden floor at our feet, turning to Bonnie and Valerie who were still here. “Ad somnum, little twit. Thank you both for bringing me back. But we can handle this from here. If you want you can go back to your lives.”
“I’ll just be a phone call away, Rae.” Valerie hugged me and I hugged her back before she vanished from our view.
Bonnie dropped her hands to her sides. “Just be careful around Kai. You and I know what he is capable of doing to the people we have left that we love.” We shared a hug before she grabbed her bag and walked out the front door leaving the Ascendent knowing we would need its magic.
Jacob tilted his head between me and my husband. “So what exactly is our plan, Rae Rae?”
“There’s only one thing we can do, J. Alyssa sent them to his prison world so..” I heavily slumped my shoulders feeling my body stiffen at the thought of having to see him again after just getting back home with my family.
Klaus took notice of my stance gently touching my forearm, fixing his baby blues down to me. “Raelyn…”
“I’ll be okay, Nik…I’ll be okay.” I wiped away some stray tears rounding my shoulders until I felt as confident and brave as I could manage. Missy, Alina, Jacob and Klaus all were staring at me waiting for our next move. “An old enemy from Klaus’s past once told me you always stay one step ahead of your enemies. So we screw Kai Parker before he screws us and bring the Saltzman’s back.”
Comments really appreciated ❤️

A Miguel O’Hara x OC Series - link to AO3 (X)
Chapter 25: Healing - previous chapter (X)
Pairing: Miguel O’Hara x Female OC
Words: 4.09K+ words
Warnings: PG for corny cheesy friendship and some angst
Summary: Lisa comes to terms with what happened last night and what Miguel said.
///////
I remember powering through the obstacle course again. My focus was neither here nor there as I mindlessly navigated the moving platforms and obstacles. By the time I made it to the end, my stance was more wobbly as I lowered my hands to my knees, catching my breath.
Gabriel took note of my lap times and provided insight on the suit upgrades. As much as I tried to stall, he knew the best thing for me right now was to rest at home. I needed a break.
Not just from training, but from the Spider-Society. From Miguel. From everything.
I remember walking through the portal and arriving back in my apartment. It was late at night, the lights turned off as the entire suite was dark. It was drizzling outside, as I could hear the tiny pitter patter of raindrops against the windows and the fire escape. I glanced over towards it, half expecting Miguel to come through there at any moment. But he didn’t.
Why would he?
I remember looking down at myself in my spider-suit. The emblem, though different designs, reminded me too much of the sigil on Miguel’s suit. In a huff of frustration, I ripped the zipper down and yanked it off my body. I grabbed a fistfull of it in my hand, about to toss it across the room until I stopped myself, looking at it again.
My mind drifted back to Margo and Hobie helping me design the concept and most recently Gabriel helping me upgrade it. My free hand gently wrapped itself around my stomach. I wasn’t mad at them, or the suit. I wasn’t really mad either. With a defeated sigh, I dropped my spider-suit to the floor and I collapsed into my bed.
I remember not bothering to change into pajamas, or crawling into the covers. I laid stomach down in my undergarments, letting the cool chill draft over my skin. My fingers curled into the bedsheets.
I remembered the look on Miguel’s face, and his apology as he kissed my hand. After hearing what had happened to him, to the person he cared for and their universe, why would I allow him to go through the pain of potentially losing someone again? Why would I allow him to go through the pain of wanting to be with me but he can’t? It’s for the best. Right?
If I allow myself to like you, to love you. . . You and everything you love will be gone because of me. . .
“Oh, Miguel. . .” I mumbled as I reached for a pillow and dragged it to my side, holding it tightly. “I already lost something I loved when you said those words,”
I remember crying after that. I didn’t remember falling asleep as my eyes opened to the sunlight the next morning to tear stains on my pillows and cheeks. I glanced at the time. I couldn’t bring myself to get out of bed.
I reached for my phone, opening the group chat to my dance team.
“Hey, I won’t be coming in to practice today. Let the coach know for me. I’m not feeling the best right now,” - Lisa
“Oh no! :O What happened?” - Hannah
“I was getting some extra practice in at home and I think I pulled one too many muscles and I just feel. . . sore,” - Lisa
“That sucks ass, do you want us to get you anything after practice?” - Kasey
“No, it’s okay, I appreciate the thought. I’ll just sleep it off,” - Lisa
“If you’re absolutely sure. Don’t hesitate to message us, I’ll have the boys get you anything you need! ^_^” - Hannah
“Thanks girls, you’re the best :)” - Lisa
I managed a small smile at the messages. As much as I hated lying, I was happy for their understanding. Plus I wasn’t ready to explain that the guy that I like who pretended to be my boyfriend to fool the cops can’t actually be romantically involved with me otherwise he could potentially destroy my dimension and everyone living in it.
I dropped my phone as I lowered myself back into bed, cuddling my pillow close to my chest. I felt numb, like my heart left a dull ache inside of me. If I tried to move, it was like a weight was keeping me down. Maybe I was just tired, and not still thinking about last night.
I went back to sleep.
I dreamed of Miguel. His voice, his touch, every moment we had together the last few weeks up until that moment. The tears returned.
I woke up to the sound of something tapping my window. Realizing my curtain wasn’t closed all the way through, I peek over to see the fire escape window open, and a familiar Ghost-Spider blonde enters my apartment.
“Lisa?” Gwen calls out softly.
I gasp sharply as I see Gwen come through my window. I try to dry my tears and cover myself up with a sweater and blanket to not embarrass myself and protect what shred of dignity I had left. "Gwen--! What are you doing here?"
Gwen’s eyes lit up as she registered my voice and looked over towards my bedroom. She jumped over, pulling back the curtain slightly as her eyes widened at my appearance. “Wow, you’re a mess!”
I couldn’t help but huff a tired laugh. “You don’t know the half of it,”
“We hadn’t heard or seen you since your mission in rescuing Miguel,” Gwen explained with a worried expression. “I tried talking to Lyla but she’d been acting weird all day yesterday,”
“Yeah, uh, it’s a– been a weird day,” I nodded my head, acknowledging Gwen’s observation.
“Wait, you–” Gwen’s eyes peered closer towards me before she gasped softly, “You were crying just now?”
“She was crying?!”
I could hear Pav’s voice from outside. My cheeks flushed as I instinctively wrapped the blanket tighter around myself. Pav was here too?
“Pav, Hobie, hold on a second!” Gwen lifted a hand out, signaling the boys not to come inside yet. She looked back towards me. “Lisa, what happened?”
"It's stupid. I-- I got into, well, I don't know if it was a fight or what, but–” I sniffled as I adjusted myself to sit up properly in my bed before meeting Gwen’s gaze. “It's about Miguel,"
She looked genuinely concerned. "Miguel?"
“Miguel knows Gwen,” I sighed deeply, taking a moment to compose myself before continuing. “He knows about the kiss,”
“What?” Her eyes widened in surprise as she sat down at the edge of my bed.
“How did he find out?!” Pav exclaimed as he poked his head through the window.
“Eh, he was bound to find out eventually,” Hobie gently pulled Pav back by the back of his collar.
“Yeah, eventually, not so soon!” I groaned, rolling my eyes at Hobie’s comment.
“I thought Lyla was helping you cover it up until you were ready to talk?” Gwen recalled the small private talk the group had after the mission was over when I left Miguel at the medical bay.
“She was, but I guess Miguel caught wind that something wasn’t right. He said that she ended up telling him everything,” I huffed tiredly.
Gwen looked around my room, noting my dresser. She motioned her head towards it. “Here, let me help you get dressed so the guys can come in and talk. Is that okay?”
I nodded gently as Gwen stood up, pulling the curtain fully closed to give us privacy and to allow the guys to enter the apartment with no trouble. I could hear their footsteps coming through the window, as their heels click clacked along the wooden flooring. Gwen rummaged through my dresser, offering me a change of clothes.
“Lisa, where’s your tea kettle, I’ll make you some chai!” Pav called from the kitchen.
“Oh, I haven’t unpacked that yet,” My eyes widened at the kind gesture, my face softening as I began to pull on the clothes. “It should be in the second box next to the microwave,”
Faint rummaging noises quickly followed as an excited gasp escaped him. “Found it!”
“I got the cups,” Hobie quickly added as I could hear the clattering of cups being placed on a counter.
I changed into a black sweat pants and a light gray t-shirt, Gwen turning her back to me to give me more privacy while I got dressed. When I was ready, she helped me up from the bed, pulling back the curtain. The two of us walked into the kitchen to find Pav and Hobie. Pav worked on the kettle machine while Hobie shuffled through the tea bag flavors.
“The chai is just heating up,” Pav offered me a warm smile.
“Thank you, Pav, that’s really sweet of you,” I smiled sweetly at him.
Gwen and I took a seat at the bar stools at the kitchen counter. She placed a gentle hand on my shoulder. “Okay, start at the beginning,”
“So, before I kissed him Lyla said that if I wanted to, I didn’t have to tell him that I kissed him to free him from the curse,” I began with a deep sigh, “When we brought him back to HQ at the medical bay, Lyla did some tampering and messed with the mission log and your report,”
“Yeah, I remember, she sent me a message saying she had tweaked it,” Gwen nodded.
“Gotta respect the anarchy,” Hobie smirked in approval.
“What happened after that?” Gwen asked.
“After practice, Miguel asked to see me. He’s allowing me to go on more missions now so he introduced me to his brother Gabriel so he could upgrade my suit,” I explained. Pav poured me a cup of chai and passed me the mug. I smiled warmly. “Miguel was called to a mission so Gabriel helped me with the rest of the upgrades on his own and then asked me to run through the obstacle course at the training center to make sure everything checked out okay,”
“Is that where it happened?” Pav asked with a sympathetic look.
I nodded slowly as I gripped my fingers around my mug tightly, letting the liquid inside warm my hands. “He must have found out when he got back cause as I was going through the obstacle course, Miguel showed up and literally chased me through it to talk to me,”
Gwen and Pav’s eyes widened as they both simultaneously yelled. “He chased you?!”
“The man sounds desperate to me,” Hobie made a comment before taking a loud sip of his cup.
“In his defense, I panicked and ran away from him cause I was scared of talking about it,” I grumbled as I deflated into my seat.
“That still doesn’t make it okay,” Gwen shook her head with a disapproving look.
“Oh, it gets better,” I rolled my eyes.
“Define better?” Pav raised a curious brow as he drank a sip of his mug of chai.
“We both make it to the end of the course, he pins me to a wall and asks me why I didn’t tell him about the kiss, and– I–” I hesitated, almost afraid to say it as I hung my head in shame. “I had a panic attack and I punched him,”
The three other Spider’s gasped, gawking their eyes at me as they all briefly glanced at each other in shock before turning their gaze back to me.
“You punched him?” Gwen exclaimed, not believing what she was hearing.
“Like right in his handsome face?” Pav quickly added, hands over his face.
“Fight the power, Lisa, I like it,” Hobie offered me a playful grin as he leaned back on the opposite counter.
“Hobie, not helping,” Gwen casted a cautious warning glance towards Hobie before focusing her attention back on me. “Did you punch him because you were scared of what he would do or say?”
“No, nothing like that. I mean– Yes, I was scared of how he’d react, sure, but–” I shook my head furiously before taking a breath to calm myself and finally allowing myself a small sip of my chai.
“What happened, Lisa?” Pav asked with concern.
All eyes were trained on me, as the trio all leaned in closer, anticipating my answer.
I sighed tiredly. “I punched him because what he did reminded me of the attack here in this apartment the other week,”
“You mean you were attacked by a doppelganger variant of the boss man?” Hobie raised a curious brow at me.
I shook my head. “No, it was a variant of the villain Chameleon. He disguised himself as Miguel. He talked like him, sounded like him, and he. . .”
I found myself beginning to choke up, my shoulders trembling. Gwen reached out and gently wrapped her arm around me, offering me a tight hug. “It’s okay, you don’t have to say anything else,”
I sighed tiredly, exhaling a trembling breath of air. Footsteps caught my ear as Pav walked around and gave me a hug on my other side. I smiled at the gesture and before long, I felt Hobie’s hand patt my head gently.
“We got your back, luv,” I could hear the faint smile on Hobie’s face.
“Thanks you guys,” I relaxed in my friend's embrace, a sweet genuine smile on my face.
I was actually starting to feel a little bit better.
“Miguel apologized for what he did and we just. . . sat there for a while,”
Pav pulled away from his hug, offering me a glance. “Did Mr. O’Hara say anything after he apologized?”
“I– I confessed my feelings for him, but he said that even if he wanted to be involved with me romantically, he can’t,” I sighed deeply.
“He can’t?” Pav repeated.
“He could disrupt the canon,” Gwen realized with a soft voice. “Wait, does your dimension even technically have a canon?”
“If it does or doesn’t, we don’t know, but Miguel was very specific. He doesn’t want another dimension disappearing again because of him,” I hung my head low.
I didn’t see the further look of recognition on Gwen’s face as she realized in more detail what I was talking about. Hobie hummed deeply, his head turning to the side. He knew it too.
Before I could say anything more, there was a knock suddenly at my door. The other Spider’s panicked, trying not to talk as they hurriedly scrambled to find a place to hide.
“Who is it?” I called out towards the door.
“Delivery!” A cheery voice exclaimed.
Wait, I knew that voice!
“Hide!” I whispered harshly as I ushered them all out of the window and onto the fire escape before shutting the window.
I slid across the floor to the kitchen, carefully taking Pav and Hobie’s mugs in the sink to hide them. I had to make them think that I was the only one here. I scampered to the door, taking a moment to fix myself up before opening the door and stunned to see Kasey and the others.
“Guys?” I gawked at them.
“Surprise!” Kasey grinned with a friendly wave.
“We thought we’d surprise you and bring you stuff to make you feel better,” Hannah smiled as she handed me a homemade care package.
“Oh, wow, that’s really sweet of you guys,” My eyes softened at the gesture as I took the basket before my expression morphed and I looked at them with an almost horrified expression. “Wait, how did you guys figure out where I live?”
“We asked Coach for your address so we could check on you after practice,” Kasey offered me an apologetic look. “Can you blame us for worrying a little?”
“Do you need help with anything?” Toya asked.
“We brought you some heating pads too,” Touga held up the product box with a proud grin.
“Aw, thanks guys,” I smiled sweetly at them before I stepped to the side, allowing them to pass. “I’d feel bad sending you guys on your way so quickly, so come on in for a bit?”
“Really? Yay!” Hannah beamed happily as she was the first to enter the apartment while the rest of the group followed behind her.
I shut the door behind them, watching as they all got settled and looked around the apartment.
“Sweet digs, Lisa,” Touga nodded in approval as he looked around before plopping himself down on the couch.
“Yeah, it’s really cute,” Toya agreed as he took the seat next to his brother.
“Lisa, what’s this cute onesie?” Hannah reached out and picked something up from the floor and I thought I was going to have a panic attack.
MY SPIDER-SUIT!
“Oh, that!” I chuckled nervously as I walked over to her and gently took it off her hands. “Um, well–”
I glanced out the window to see Gwen, Hobie, and Pav, all with their masks on, peeking through the window.
“We’re supposed to be The Webslingers right? I thought for the show we could dress up in costume?” I rubbed the back of my neck nervously, hoping my voice was convincing enough.
“Oh cool! That’s a great idea!” Hannah beamed. “Even when you’re not feeling well, you’re still thinking of ways to help the team,”
I was sweating bullets at that point, laughing along with her. “Yep, that’s me! A team player!”
“I’ll message my sister, she works as a costume designer in the city,” Hannah smiled as she took a seat whilst bringing out her phone. “I’ll message her,”
I sighed in relief at the offer before I found myself collapsing into my loveseat chair. I huddled my knees up to my chest. I hated it. The constant lying. I hated every second of it.
“Are you feeling okay, Lisa?” Kasey spoke up.
I glanced over towards her as Kasey leaned against the armrest of the couch, sitting beside Toya. Her arms were crossed as she gave me a look that was a mixture of genuine concern, but also suspicion.
“Yeah, just sore is all,” I nodded softly.
“Is that all?” She asked, tilting her head to the side. “Or is there something else that’s bothering you?”
“Oh, did you hear from your boyfriend? How did his doctor visit go?” Hannah asked with a sweet innocent smile.
Oh, sweet, sweet, innocent Hannah. . .
My eyes widened at the question, and I couldn’t stop my hands from trembling as I wrapped my arms around my knees. “Right, um. . . I don’t want to talk about it,”
Hannah gasped softly, worry coursing through her as she was worried she struck a wrong cord. “Did something happen?”
I didn’t answer her, instead burying my face into my knees. It all came flooding back all over again.
The twins' gaze sombered as they stared at me, before exchanging glances with one another.
“Hey bro, are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Toya grinned over at his twin.
“Oh, brother of mine, I think I am,” Touga smirked back at him.
“What’s going on?” I raised a suspicious brow at the twins as they both got up from their spots on the couch.
Toya grabbed his backpack and suddenly started walking towards the fire escape window and I immediately started to panic as Touga extended a hand towards me. “Trust the process, Lisa, it will be fun!”
I casted a nervous glance between the window and the girls, and Hannah nodded her head encouragingly. “Trust them, Lisa, they know what they’re doing,”
I looked up towards Touga as he offered me a similar encouraging glance. I reached out and took his hand as he gently led me towards the window where Toya had already climbed out onto the fire escape and began climbing up the stairs. No sign of the other Spiders. Had they left?
“Come on, ladies!” Touga called with a grin.
“Right behind you!” Hannah beamed.
I glanced back at Kasey as I stepped through the window and she seemed to have a knowing smile on her face, as if she knew what was coming. Before I could ask her about it, Touga gently pulled me along with him as we climbed up the stairs and made our way up to the roof. I instantly felt nostalgia as I reflected on Miguel’s confession to me that night.
It felt bittersweet now after what happened yesterday. But his words, his emotions, they were so raw and real. I could tell that he meant every word. During both interactions.
I was snapped out of my funk when I heard a loud and sudden static. I glanced over to see Toya had pulled out a large portable speaker. Colours flashed along the speaker as it powered on. “Ready?” He glanced over at his brother.
“Ready!” Touga grinned, giving Toya a thumbs up.
“Ready for what?” I glanced between them, completely confused.
“To cheer you up, silly!” Hannah giggled with a knowing laugh as she sat beside Kasey.
Okay, now I am really confused.
Then a beat shook from the speaker, vibrating in my bones. Faint music began to play as Toya and Touga tapped their feet to the beat.
[Lyrics: Rough English Translation of Fighting by BSS ft. Lee Young Ji]
“Whoops, gotta wake up, morning already
Closed my eyes, open, sun's way up in the sky
Give breakfast a pass, gotta sleep ten more minutes, oh-oh-oh~”
“Take-out coffee, go
(Ame, ame, ame, americano)~”
Toya sang and danced to the first set of lyrics before taking my hand and spinning me around. I found myself twirling into Touga who gently caught me in his arms. He walked me through the dance steps as I tried to follow along in my confused daze.
“In the stories, why do all my friends?
Look so cool there, why me, me? Only me? Why?
Why, why, why, why?
Why am I still struggling?
Why am I getting pushed around? I-gu, i-gu, i-gu, i-gu~”
Touga sang along before he carefully picked me up and plopped me down in the center of their makeshift dance floor they’ve made for themselves. They both clapped along to the beat of the drum, side stepping around me.
“We're all earphone-wearing zombies
Everybody needs a boost up pumpin'
Come on, let's get it-!”
They both slid to either side of me and that’s when I realized what this was all about. They were dancing to get me to join in. They were dancing to cheer me up.
Kind of cheesy, maybe a little bit cringe. But I loved them for it.
“We're your Web-Sling-Ers~”
I broke out into a laughter as the pair continued to dance to the chorus, and slowly I found myself moving along with them. I mimicked their moves as best as I could, occasionally throwing in my own dance moves that I felt would match with the song.
“On a day like any othеr day
You hear this song start to play
We'll be thеre to sing it for you
Gotta keep going, what else can you do?
Fighting, yeah
Fighting, yeah
Don't give it up, never give it up, yeah~”
Hannah and Kasey cheered and applauded us from the side lines as they each did their own dance. I looked around and finally spotted Gwen, Pav, and Hobie hanging out on another roof nearby. They offered their own cheers, Pav even trying to dance along himself but the poor boy kept tripping on his feet.
The sight made me laugh as I continued to dance with Toya and Touga, chanting and singing along with them.
“Fighting, yeah
Fighting, yeah
We're the Webslingers!
Ah, fighting, yeah~”
As all of this was going on however, we all didn’t notice that another portal had opened on a different rooftop moments prior to the dance starting. Staying close to the shadows, Miguel and Peter B. watched, their enhanced eyesight peering through her windows.
They watched as the group of teen Spiders offered her a group hug before quickly being ushered outside as Lisa’s other friends arrived. Then they watched as they escorted Lisa up the fire escape and up onto the roof. The music started  playing as Lisa’s walls were slowly broken down and she danced along with her friends.
“See, Miguel? I think Lisa has everything she needs to heal,” Peter B. smiled as he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. “You can have that too. I don’t think she wants to move on from how she feels,”
Miguel sighed deeply in relief as he watched her. He sat down at the edge of the roof, not saying anything at first, until a soft smile spread on his lips. “Neither do I,”

An Eligible Bachelor
3 and a Half Weeks Later
Down at the lake one sunny afternoon a few weeks after my dramatic fainting down here before, I wanted to get some fresh air and get out of the stuffy castle. I was currently ranting to Jameson because, when, if the voices were correct, Father dies, he wants me to be married, and maybe at least with one child, so was having me look at different men Father had hand-picked himself.
“I just don’t get why we can’t tell him!” I ranted, annoyed at the deeply boring process I had managed to escape from.
“You know why darling. We can’t tell your Mother or Father, as there is a very high chance they will banish me from the kingdom,” Jameson said, looking up from his drawing to look at me as I read, my back against a tree nearby.
“So what! I would rather that happen and go with you than stay here and pick which man I should marry,” I said, sticking down my book.
“Well, what would you do then if that supposedly happened?” He asked, getting up from the rock he was perched on and walked towards me.
“I think I would be a hunter maybe? Maybe be like Robin Hood; steal from the rich and give to the poor?” I said, chuckling at what I said.
Jameson sat down beside me and I stuck my head on my shoulder.
“What would you do?” I ask him, looking across the lake as I did so.
“Show my art? Use the craft my Father taught me. I’m unsure just now,” He replied, continuing his sketch.
We sat in silence for a while, enjoying each other’s presence as we sat there, but all was forgotten as Sybil ran down to the lake, and we broke apart quickly.
“Oh thank goodness! Father was wondering where you were and I saw you sneak out this morning,” Sybil said as I stood up.
“Okay, and why did you run down here to just tell me this?” I ask, raising an eyebrow.
“No one could find you, so after Father said at lunch that you hadn’t appeared for quite some time, I thought you may be down here reading, and it seems I was correct. One thing I do wonder is why on earth is the boy that found you when you collapsed-” Sybil said, but I cut her off partway through.
“His name is Jameson,” I say.
“Honestly, Kaitlyn, I don’t care. Anyway, why are you down here with him?” Sybil asks.
As she asks this, I hear the clinking of metal and scraping of feet against the pebbles leading down here and Xander appears before my eyes.
“Lady Sybil, you need to get back up to the Castle right now as your Mother is asking for you. Lady Kaitlyn, your Father has more Bachelors waiting in the Castle, and Mr Dorianna, your Father has appeared at the Castle asking his Majesty if anyone there knows your whereabouts. I would advise you all to come back to the Castle this instant before your respective parents become more worried,” Xander said and I could see he was trying not to yell at either Jameson or me for being so stupid by disappearing for hours.
“Alright, I better see you back in the Castle, Kaitlyn in the next hour,” Sybil said before turning and heading back up to the Castle.
After we were all sure Sybil was gone, Xander turned to us with a harsh glare on his face.
“What the hell were you two thinking! First of all, I was worried, second of all, you two were almost caught by your sister that likes to blackmail you! If you guys want to act like that I will just go and tell his majesty, if not, then you two need to start being more careful!” Xander said, trying not to get to the end of his tether and explode at us.
“If you knew why I was down here, you would understand!” I argued back, grabbing my book and starting to walk back, grabbing Jameson’s hand as I did so.
“Well, I think I bloody well do!” Xander yelled back, running to catch up with my fast pace of walking.
“I don’t care! What I currently care about is the man I want to marry, but can’t because my Father would banish him from the kingdom if I said I didn’t want to marry any duke, but a humble artist who I truly care for! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go back to getting so bored, I fear my brains may turn to mush and a ball to prepare for!” I say and give Xander one last glare and then run back to the castle, nearly tripping a few times as I did so.
{----------}
When I returned, I ran back to my room to find Alice sitting on my bed, one of my books in hand and sticking down when she heard the door open.
“I thought you said you were going to be out till an hour before the ball,” Alice said, setting the book down as I flopped down onto my bed beside where she sat.
“Well, Sybil came down and almost caught Jameson and I, so I had to come as she said she saw me sneaking out this morning, even with your distraction,” I said, sighing soon after and getting up to change my dress to something I could move more freely in than the dress I was wearing just now.
“At least you got to see him. I wasn’t even sure if I had given you enough time to even get to the front entrance without getting caught,” Alice said.
I laughed before replying.
“It’s safe to say Alice Olivia Lysandral, you are brilliant at distractions. Thank you. I needed it today. Ever since I collapsed, Father has been keeping a watchful eye on me and making sure I’m barely ever out of either his or Xander’s sight,” I say as I readjust my corset, letting myself breathe.
“You’re very welcome dear sister. One thing I will say is that I will need help thinking up ideas for the next distraction needed to get you seeing  Jameson,” Alice said.
Alice was one of the first people to find out about my crush on the artistic prodigy as she caught me writing a letter to him. From there, we made a deal. She would help me with distractions and keep my relationship secret if I let her read any book she wanted out of my endless bookshelves.
“Okay then, but we need to make sure that Sybil is distracted big time with the next few. We can’t have something like this happening again,” I say.
“Well, then don’t disappear while Father wants to talk to you about something,” Alice says.
“Fine, I won’t do that again. Anyway, I need to change to go for sword fight training,” I say as I get out a pair of trousers that Mother would not approve of.
“Who’s teaching you this time? Father or Xander?” Alice questions as I stick on the clothing I would need for what I was going to go do.
“Both. Xander’s training me and Father is watching to assess me on my progress,” I say and then turn to leave the room as Alice grabs my arm.
“Kaitlyn, just please be back on time. I need my big sister to help me prepare for the ball tonight,” Alice says as I leave the room, grabbing the sword that was hidden in my room as I did so.

Sam fights himself out of plaster and plywood.
“DEAN?!”
Debris and smoldering but a weak grunt and that’s all Sam needs, and he gathers another non-existent ounce of strength to crawl out from under the wreck, and it’s all autopilot from there.
Spot Dean, get to Dean, check if he’s breathing.
“Ugh…”
“Don’t talk.”
Broken ribs for sure. Concussion, maybe. Sam’s hands are too bloody and shaky to hold his phone right. Dean cringes for the light of the flash.
Sam promises, “I got you,” and Dean makes an ugly sound upon being heaved upright, like yeah something that’s not supposed to be able to shift is definitely shifting right now and Sam pleads, “Come on, hold on,” and Dean splutters, “Fuck,” but they’re moving.
Half a mile. Dean will be pleased, after, that they were careful to park her out of the explosion range.
Sam turns the volume up all the way just to keep Dean from slipping under. He can’t hear much despite the lingering tinnitus anyway, so. It doesn’t matter.
Slurred, “We got that sonofabitch?” and Sam says, “No,” just because he’s a dick like that. “Got himself.”
Werewolves and propane tanks don’t work well together.
Dean attempts a bad joke that breaks up several times and doesn’t make sense. Sam still tells him, “Yeah,” and throws him a smile, and keeps his foot heavy on the gas.
The bunker’s too far. Motel it is, just a couple of miles; Sam had spotted it on the way here (and so had Dean, wrinkling his nose). The lady at the front desk looks understandably taken aback.
Sam clears his throat, tries a smile. Tucks some of his hair back behind his ear and fishes a finger-sized splinter of wood out of there while he’s at it.
“Uh—two queens, please? Do you guys have ice?”
They do. Sam still hauls their loyal cooler from the backseat after he’s fireman-carried his brother into safety, first.
Dean jokes, “Finally, room service,” but after Sam’s done patching him up, he surrenders to the fact that all he’ll imbibe for the next twenty-four hours will be water (at the most).
Sam hears, “What about you?” and prompts, automatically, “I’m good,” and Dean grumbles, “Bull,” but he can’t even sit on his own, let alone see out of more than half an eye. “If your huge brain starts bleeding halfway through the night, I’ll kick your fucking ass.”
It’s tough to come down after a hunt like this. When the adrenaline fades and leaves you—broken. Sore. Sam rolls his shoulder for the umpteenth time. Pinched something. He’ll have Cas look at it, back home.
In his bed, Dean groans again.
Sam doesn’t look up from where he’s pulling the hundredth splinter from his knee. “Need something?”
Dean grumbles, “A new body,” and Sam chuckles.
“Now, come on. You’re being dramatic.”
Dean insists, “Duh,” and Sam baby-flinches for the unexpected puff of a pillow hitting him between the shoulder blades.
“Hey.”
“Two queens? What are you, twelve?”
“Dude, you have more rib fractures than ribs,” but Dean beckons him over nonetheless.
Sam sighs. Puts away the tweezers. Yeah, shit. His shoulder is…gonna need some angelic TLC.
“You should try and get some sleep.”
“Can sleep when I’m dead, Sammy.”
“Keep pushing it like you do and that’ll come sooner than later,” but he lets Dean thumb at his cheek all sweet, and he dips down for a kiss. Barely any space for him to sit. God, his shoulder.
“Your shoulder?”
“It’s nothing.” He winces just a little for Dean’s fingers probing for damage.
“Let Cas look at it.”
“Sure thing.”
“You that kinda nurse that’ll hold my dick when I pee?”
“Your hands are fine.”
Dean decides, “You could still hold it,” and Sam scoffs, and he squeezes Dean’s hand, and Dean squeezes back (even if weakly).
“Rest up, okay? We’ll head back tomorrow morning.”
“Did you…?”
“Windows and door, yeah. Texted Cas, he’ll let Jodie know.”
“Cool.”
Sam reiterates, “Sleep,” and while Dean pouts, he’s already and visibly drifting off.
Sam lingers on his tiny spot on the side of Dean’s bed just long enough for his brother to succumb to their usual I Need A Ten-Hour Nap pill cocktail. Until Dean’s hand is limp in his palm, and he can slip off and away with good conscience.
Sam plucks another five splinters out of himself before he calls it a day.

@whumptober2020 Prompt #17: “I Think I’ll Just Collapse Right Here, Thanks” - Disorientation | Blurred Vision | Ringing Ears
Word Count: 1110
Warnings: Blood
Synopsis: Peter stumbles into the Avenger Facility, dazed and confused. And covered in blood
Read Under the Cut | Read on AO3
Peter stumbled up the drive of the Avengers Facility, his suit hanging off him in tatters and an arm clutched across his abdomen while the other swung uselessly by his side. Every muscle in his body screamed out in pain, begging for him to just lay down and rest. But he couldn’t. He couldn’t sleep until he found Mister Stark. He forgot why but knew he had to.
Blood dripped from his fingertips, dark red and sticky. He wasn’t sure what happened exactly, but his daily patrol had turned sour, the beating he received almost knocking the life from his body. Those guys had just come out of nowhere, not even his spidey-sense could’ve stopped them.
He pitched forward, smashing into the glass door of the facility and leaving a red smear as he straightened up and yanked the door open. Normally, Friday greeted him as he entered, but the ringing in his ears blocked her out. “Mis’ser Stark,” he murmured, unsure if he even made a sound.
Each staggered step sent a jolt of pain running through his entire body, his head span and the world around him tilted violently. Exhaustion rolled over him in waves, even keeping his eyes open was a struggle. Seconds before his body gave out beneath him, Tony ran in, his blurred face contorting in what looked like fear.
Tony’s mouth moved wordlessly and he ran across the vast foyer towards Peter. “Mis’ser Stark, why are there two of you?” Peter’s legs buckled and he collapsed to his knees, catching himself with his hands. Both Tonys appeared in front of his face, mouth still moving and two fingers pressed to his wrist. Peter could feel the dregs of his energy draining away, he fell awkwardly into Tony’s shoulder, the older man caught hold of his shoulders and held him upright. “It’s so loud in here.”
* * *
One moment, Tony had been in his lab working on his nanosuit. The next, Friday was informing him a gravely injured Peter just stumbled in the front door. Tony jumped up, not caring how the housing unit and half his workbench’s contents clattered to the floor in his haste. Without wasting a second, he bolted for the foyer. The sight when he arrived was one he’d never forget.
Peter’s suit was torn to shreds, revealing his undershirt and skin beneath, every inch of fabric that remained stained a sickening crimson. Blood pooled on the floor at Peter’s feet, and a trail led out of the door and along the drive. “What the hell happened?” Tony ran forwards.
“Mis’ser Stark, why are there two of you?”
Shit, that’s never a good sign. Peter fell to his hands and knees, Tony skidded to a stop beside him and helped him upright, one hand moving to check his erratic pulse. “Pete, we need to get you to the medical bay.” Peter looked up at him, completely disoriented from reality. “Can you hear me?”
Peter’s head dropped to Tony’s shoulder, the rest of his body would have followed had Tony not grabbed his shoulders and held him up.
“It’s so loud in here.”
The words came out in one long slur. Then Peter passed out.
“Shit, shit, shit.” Tony scooped Peter into his arms, speed taking priority over comfort or care, and he took off as fast as he could manage in the direction of the medical bay.
* * *
Tony couldn’t sit still, he paced up and down the corridor outside the medical bay. Rhodey sat in one of the seats, his leg bouncing up and down quickly. He’d tried to get Tony to sit, but it was a lost cause. They hadn’t been able to get hold of May, she must be on shift, though he’d left a voicemail saying to call him back. Telling her that Peter had been beaten almost to death by a bunch of hooligans didn’t feel like a voicemail type of conversation. Happy was on standby outside the hospital to pick her up.
“Tones, come on. Sit. You’re no good to Peter if you’re exhausted.”
That was a good point. Tony sat next to Rhodey, elbows resting on his knees and head in his hands. “I’m no good to him at all, apparently.”
“Hey, man. You know that’s not true. You’ve done everything for that kid. Given him everything.”
Tony shook his head. “It’s not enough. I should’ve done more. You wouldn’t get it.”
“Uh, yeah, I do. My best friend got kidnapped in front of me. From the convoy I prepared, I set up.” Tony looked up, Rhodey was staring at the floor, leg still bouncing. “That was on me. I felt so strongly that I should’ve done more that I spent three months searching non-stop.”
“No, Rhodey, that wasn’t your fault. That was the Ten Rings.”
Rhodey met Tony’s eye. “Exactly, it took me a long time to see that. This is no different.”
Tony huffed a laugh. “I hate it when you do that.”
“What?” Rhodey smiled. “Make a good point?”
“Use my logic against me. Can’t you let a man wallow in peace?”
Rhodey reached out and squeezed Tony’s shoulder. “Not on his own. Never.”
Doctor Cho walked out the medical bay door, both Tony and Rhodey jumped to their feet. Judging by the smile on her face, everything had worked out this time. “He’s awake, and asking for you.”
Tony breathed a sigh of relief and all but ran inside the medical bay. Peter sat up in his bed, a goofy, lopsided grin on his face, though maybe it was a little dimmer than it usually was. “Hey, Mister Stark.”
“Hey yourself.” Tony walked up to his bedside, smiling gently. “How many times have I told you to drop the Mister Stark stuff. It’s Tony.”
Peter shrugged, his grin growing in strength. “I don’t know, it’s kinda become a tradition of sorts. Tony feels wrong just saying it.” For emphasis, Peter shuddered, but instantly regretted it as his face contorted in pain.
Worry laced its way onto Tony’s expression. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” Peter nodded, “Just forgot for a moment. Have you spoken to May? She must be going out of her mind.”
“She picked up a shift, I think. Haven’t gotten ahold of her. Speaking of, you should leave her a voicemail before she hears mine, then she’ll really be freaking out.”
Peter nodded again, then tilted his head to the side. “I lost my phone back there somewhere.”
“It’s alright, kid. I’ll grab mine.” Tony turned to leave when Peter called after him.
“Hey, sorry for bleeding all over the floors and stuff.”
“It’s nothing. You’re alive, that’s all that matters.”

“When the Bough Breaks…Your Face”
A Whumptober 2020 fic by me 😁
Featuring: My OCs: Jonathan, Angela, Sean, and Rebecca; an out-of-the-way-place; and some good old fashioned hurt/comfort.
Rating: Teen and Up
Warnings: Blood, injury, bruises, vomiting, panic/anxiety
Chapter 2
Previous chapter
The soft sounds of voices began to filter into Jonathan’s consciousness.
“Oh my God, there’s so much blood.” A gagging sound followed. “Angie.” Rebecca’s voice, sounding tense. “Why don’t you go check on the horses, and let us help him, okay?” Movement, and a faint sniffling sound as footsteps withdrew. Rebecca spoke again. “Sean, you’ve got to put more pressure on that, love.” Sudden, burning pain erupting in his left shoulder made him cry out, his back arching where he lay. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” came a frantic apology. Blearily Jonathan opened his eyes, wishing the spinning sensation in his head would stop. Nausea rose in his gut, and he closed his eyes again and groaned, swallowing roughly.
“Is he gonna be sick?” a panicky, whispered question. “I don’t know. He hit his head pretty hard.”
Sounds faded away again for a few moments, and then Jonathan rolled to the side suddenly and retched, the motion making everything hurt more. He groaned loudly and laid back again. Someone’s fingers combed through his hair. “Poor thing,” Rebecca’s voice said softly. He tried to open his eyes again. It seemed like the spinning was easing just a little. The first thing he saw was Sean’s pale face, his eyes wide with worry, watching Jonathan carefully. “You okay?” Sean asked solemnly. Jonathan groaned again. “Ugghh…everything hurts.” His eyes found Rebecca, who was watching him with concern etched onto her features. “What happened?” he asked his friends. “Where’s Angie?” His eyes widened some as he craned his neck to look around, but laid back with a grunt, closing them once more. His head seemed to throb less that way. “She’s just checking on the horses. She’ll be back in a few minutes,” Rebecca answered. “And, you got knocked off your horse by a tree branch. Do you remember that?” Jonathan screwed his face up, but everything seemed too fuzzy and sore to be able to dredge up the memory. “I’m not sure,” he said. “That’s all right,” she said softly. “We’re going to need to get you up to the cabin, when you feel able. We have a small first aid kit here from Angie’s pack, but the camp leader said there’s a good stash of supplies up there. We’re almost there now, so you won’t have to go far.”
“Okay.” He answered with a grimace. He tried to sit up slowly, but didn’t get far before he collapsed back onto the ground. His head throbbed and his shoulder was on fire. “It’s okay, give it a minute,” Sean cautioned, and the pressure on his shoulder increased slightly. Suddenly rapid footsteps approached. “I heard voices– is he…? Jonathan!” Angela came to a sudden stop, falling to her knees next to him. Her hand hovered over him, unsure where to touch. “You’re awake! You must feel awful!” she said, her voice pitched high with worry. “Yeah,” he answered, blinking, not sure how to respond. “He’s gonna be okay, Angie,” Rebecca said reassuringly. “I know he will,” she answered, sounding slightly teary. “You’ve always been the strong one,” she said more softly, to him. Jonathan grunted and made another attempt to sit up. Several sets of hands supported his back and, this time, he was successful. He sat with his head on his knees for a moment, trying to breathe through the renewed dizziness and nausea. Angela scooted closer to his side, rubbing his back up and down in soothing motions. He looked up after a few minutes as his head cleared a little. “Okay,” he exhaled slowly. “Let’s give this a try.” Sean scooted around closer to his left side, keeping pressure on his shoulder, and put one hand at his back. Angela and Rebecca were at his right, and all three helped him stand to his feet. Angela positioned herself under his right arm and put her hand around his waist. “Are you all right?” she asked him worriedly. Head swimming, he closed his eyes for a moment. “Yeah, yeah, just give me a sec,” he murmured. He blew out a breath and waited for the dizzy spell to pass again.
“All right,” he said after a moment. Rebecca said, “Why don’t we just walk the rest of the way? I don’t think getting back on your horse is a good idea right now.” Jonathan had to agree with that. He couldn’t even think about trying to climb into a saddle. “How about you two help him walk up the trail, and I’m going to see if I can work on getting the horses to the corral? I’ll probably have to make a few trips,” Rebecca suggested. Sean nodded, his face still a bit pale, and he and Angela helped Jonathan start moving slowly up the trail towards the clearing.
Rebecca turned and headed to where the horses were tied, and untied two of them, mounting one while keeping hold of the reins of the other. It felt awkward to her–she wondered briefly how it must feel for the horses–but she started down the trail ahead of her friends, urging both her mount, and the other horse, into a slow trot. She wanted to get this done as quickly as possible.

Event Info
WHUMPTOBER is a month-long, prompt-based creation challenge (think: Inktober, but whumpier). There are 31 Official themes this year - one for each day of the month - which can be used, skipped, or combined in any way you’d like. They are meant to serve as inspiration without being taken literally (e.g. you don't have to include the exact wording into your work). Additionally, there are 3 prompts for each theme.  These are optional suggestions and can be used in conjunction with the theme, or as options/alternatives.  We want to give everyone as much creative freedom as possible, as well as increase event accessibility for folks with triggers and squicks.
Creators can PRODUCE work in any media they choose, including but not limited to: writing, visual artwork, and photo/video/audio edits. Creators can PARTICIPATE as much or as little as they want (i.e. you don’t have to do ALL the prompts if you don’t want to) and prompts can be used in any order. They are also free to use even after the event ends.
When uploading Whumptober content to your blog, be sure to tag the with:
#whumptober2020 …..(the event tag)
#no.1, #no.2, #no.3, …..(theme number)
#bruised, #stabbed,  …..(the theme or specific prompt you chose)
#fandom or #OC
#medium …..(gifs, fic, podcast, art, etc.)
#teeth, #etc …..(trigger warnings & any additional tags. Keep in mind not to add “tw” in front but only use the word/trigger itself, because tumblr sucks)
#nsfw, #nsfwhump …..(only for nsfw content)
PLEASE BE DILIGENT WITH YOUR TAGGING. Only properly tagged posts are considered for archiving on the official @whumptober2020 blog. They must be tagged in the order above.
Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of participants in recent years, we cannot guarantee your work will be archived. A random selection of properly tagged posts from all genres will be reblogged each day.
Whumpers who produce content for 31 total theme days are considered event completionists and will be tagged in a masterpost at the end of the month.
Questions not addressed below can be directed to this blog as well.
Thanks for reading, and happy whumping!
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What kind of content can I make? Can it be NSFW?
This is a MIXED MEDIA event! You can write fic, post meta, doodle or paint, create a gif set or photo edit, link a song, or get crafty with video - anything goes. As for NSFW, make what you like, we just hope that you’ll tag your work accordingly so that others participating in the event can stay safe :)
Q. Do I have to do all 31 Days? Can I post early/late?
Participate as much or little as you like, and post whenever! Just be sure to tag your posts properly (ex. #no.11, #psych101). Combining prompts into one piece of work is okay, and posting late is as well so as long as it’s in October.
Q. What if I don’t understand a theme?
Send us an ask! We’re happy to help clarify. That said, the themes are entirely up for interpretation :)
Q. Can I combine Whumptober with other creation challenges?
Absolutely! That’s like shooting two whumpees with one bullet :)
Q. Can I upload/repost my whumptober content to other social media platforms?
Of course! We’ve created an AO3 Collection to archive any fics posted there. The archive can be accessed here. The blog is the official archive, so please respect the boundaries of any closeted whumpers in your social circle :)
Q. Can I use prompts to write a new chapter for an existing fic?
Yes
Q. An existing fic I am currently writing contains many of the Whumptober prompts, can I use it?
If you are actively writing this fic at the moment with the whumptober prompts in mind, yes. If it just conveniently checks the boxes, then please don’t. You can, however, add new chapters answering one or more of the prompts.
Q. What kind of characters can I write for?
Fandom characters, OC characters, human, furry, alien, cyborg, whoever you like.
Q. Can I use a prompt multiple times?
Yes,  but it only counts once
Q. If I’m not comfortable with one day's prompts can I use a prompt of a different day as a substitute and still be a completionist?
Yes, but please do not use a specific prompt twice. We have also created an alternate prompts list that you can draw from [here].
Q. Where can I post my work?
Post where and how you want. You don’t even have to (cross)post it to Tumblr. Just keep in mind if it’s not on Tumblr we will not be able to add it to the blog archive.
Q. Can I start posting early?
You can, but this is an October event and wouldn’t it be more fun with everyone doing it at the same time? That being said, you can post early, but we won’t be reblogging any work predating October 1st.
Q. Do I have to finish a fic I started/can I post WIP’s.?
Yes you can post WIPs. And you’re not obligated to finish it in October for it to count towards being a completionist.
Q. Is co-writing allowed?
Yes, absolutely, and it would count towards being a completionist for both/all of you :)
Q. Do I have to create 31 standalone pieces to be considered a completionist or can I write one continuous story?
One continuous story is fine.  The challenge is to write something for 31 prompts. If that’s spread over 31 fics or just one, you are still considered a completionist. (The same goes for every other media you choose.)
Q. Is there a min/max limit on word count?
There is no limit
Q. Can I combine prompts? Is there a limit on how many?
No limit and combine as many as you’d like.
Q. Is a hc/angst focus ok?
Of course!
Q. What’s considered nsfw?
See this post
Q. What's whump?
See this post
Q. My interpretation of the prompt isn't whumpy at all, does that count?
No, sorry, but keep in mind that whump [see definition] is something very nuanced and different for everyone and emotional whump/angst is just as much part of it, as is physical whump and torture. So before you dismiss your idea, think about this.
Q. Can I start working on the prompts before October?
Absolutely! That’s why we posted the prompts a month in advance. We recognise how difficult it can be creating for 31 days in “real time”.
Q. How do I tag triggers?
tw at the end of the word, ex. emeto tw
Q. Do I have to use your tags?
Yes, if you want your work archived on the blog. If not, feel free to use whatever tags you want.
Q. Does combining prompts count towards completion?
Yes
Q. Can we @ you?
Yes but we mostly rely on the whumptober2020 tag
Q. Is there anything we are absolutely not allowed to write?
There are no rules, just be sure to properly tag your trigger warnings. And keep in mind Tumblr’s policies if you are posting it here (or the policies of whatever site you use).
Q. Where can I go for brainstorming help?
Here on Discord
Q. My characters are minors, is that ok?
Yes, but as with everything else, tags are your best friend.
Q. Can I cross post on other blogs?
Yes, multiple platforms and blogs are perfectly acceptable. You can also post different works to different accounts under different names, without posting them everywhere at once.
Note: This is a creation challenge, please don’t repost your old work under our tags (unless it’s been changed or edited for the event).

On the Count of Three
A/n: This isn't edited but when is any of my shit ever edited
Description: Rafe and the reader want to go to the beach but Barry wants to spend time with them at home. They compromise by going to the beach.
Prompt: Rafe and Barry + Holding hands while jumping down from somewhere together
Warnings: Rafe x Reader, Barry x Reader, Rafe x Barry, fluff, Barry is a homebody, recreational cliff jumping, sass
~~
Today is possibly the nicest day you guys have had all year, weather-wise at least. It is sunny, not a cloud in the sky but still a comfortable 70 degrees thanks to the wind. Everyone is in a good mood, and having a blast at the beach. People took the day off from work, and even metaphorically from being a pogue or a kook or a touron so they could all share the beaches on such a nice day.
All of this doesn’t explain why you, Rafe and Barry are still at his trailer, cooped up inside.
“Come on, Barry, you’ll love it I promise.” Rafe pleads, coming up behind his partner to hug him as he pops open the beer he had just retrieved from the fridge.
Barry pulls out of Rafe’s arms, shaking his head. “No, I’m not going to the damn beach. Why would I choose to be around a bunch of idiots getting sand in places where sand don’t belong when I could be here: happy and sandless with you two?”
“Y/n, can I get some help here?” He asks, plopping down onto the couch with a huff.
Rafe and Barry both turn to look at you expectantly. “Well…” You think on it… “I know a special part of the beach that I’ve never seen anyone else at. It’s secluded, lots of shade and no one will bother us.” You reach out, taking Barry’s hand in yours and running your thumb over the back of his hand.
He looks between you and Rafe before sighing. “Fine.” He gives in and Rafe’s whiney expression turns triumphant.
Barry drags his feet through getting the bags together, and when You go down your mental checklist, naming things out loud for him to check for, he only responds in half-hearted grunts. He drags his feet getting out of the car and then drags his feet all the way to the secret spot you were talking about, barely saying 5 words the whole time.
The three of you break through the small amount of underbrush you have to trek through to reach the spot and then you’re greeted by a stunning view of the clear blue sky meeting the shinning ocean horizon. The spot itself is a decent sized clearing on a small cliff maybe 30 feet above the water. There’s a small rocky pathway to the left side that’s maybe a one minute trek that can be used as stairs to a small sandy beach area.
You glance over to Barry, smiling to yourself when you see his reaction to the beautiful area.
“What do you think?” You ask, setting down your tote bag as you turn to face him.
His eyes snap to you as he schools his expression, probably hoping you didn’t see how impressed he was. “It’s alright.” He grumbles, tossing his bag down next to yours.
You pull the blanket from your bag, setting it on the ground as Rafe strips off his shirt, and begins the trek down to the beach.
“Where’s he going?” Barry asks, stretching out his neck in an attempt to get a better look without moving.
“There’s a little path that way,” You explain. “It leads to the beach area I was telling you about. You finish setting up the blanket and pull out the sunscreen. Even if Rafe is crazy enough to not wear sunscreen you’re not. “Will you be swimming with us?”
You know he had changed into swimming trunks and brought a change of shorts, or rather Rafe had forced him to, but you didn’t know if he was actually willing to swim with you guys. Barry thinks on it quietly as he watches you rub the sunscreen into your skin. When it’s time for you to do your back he walks over and takes the sunscreen from you without you even having to ask.
His rough hands gently massage the sunscreen into your skin, the both of you quiet until he finally says, “Yeah, I guess I will.”
With a gleeful smile you whip around, throwing your arms around his neck and kissing him on the cheek. “Thank you, baby.” You giggle, and then you quickly begin to apply the sunscreen to him before you drag him down the pathway.
The two of you meet Rafe there, who’s already waist-deep in the water. He turns when he sees you coming, smiling as he sees you dragging Barry behind you.
“Decided to join us, Barry?”
“Shut up, country club,” he grumbles just loud enough for Rafe to hear him. He hesitates at the water’s edge, glancing out towards the horizon then back at his partners.
“Don’t worry, you’re as far from made of sugar as someone can get. The water won’t melt you.” Rafe teases, a playful smirk blossoming on his face as Barry immediately gets a disgruntled look on his face.
“Alright, that’s it pretty boy, I’m gonna kick yo’ ass.” And with that Barry storms into the water after Rafe.
Maybe 40 minutes later the three of you pull yourselves back up to the cliffside, all smiles and loose limbs as you collapse on the blanket with tired sighs.
“You have to admit, that was a lot of fun.” You say to Barry as you grab his hand, giving it a squeeze. He rolls his eyes, not agreeing or disagreeing with what you said.
Rafe sits up on his elbows so he can see Barry from where he lays on your opposite side. “And to think none of this would have happened if we had sat on our asses in your trailer like you wanted.”
Barry turns to glare at Rafe, but the tall boy’s attention is already caught on something else. He stares towards the cliff’s edge as his expression slowly turns from teasing to scheming.
“Rafe… whatcha thinking about?” You ask, curious but also nervous. Most of his schemes end very, very badly.
“I want to jump off the cliff.” He states, then keeps to his feet with surprising ease.
You quickly stand after him, catching up only to grab his wrist and pull him back. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea, baby…” You murmur, looking out at the water nervously.
“Babe.” He pulls you a couple steps forward, then motions down to the water at the edge of the cliff, “It’s maybe 25 feet, 30 if we’re pushing it. There's no rocks at the bottom, I would have noticed that when we were swimming.” He then takes both your hands in his, pulling you close to him till your chests are brushing and he can wrap his arms around your middle. “Jump with me,” He whispers sweetly, leaning over to brush his lips against yours seductively. Oh boy, are you really contemplating jumping off a cliff with this boy just because he asked nicely? Yes. Yes you are.
“Uh uh. Nope.” Barry pushes himself to his feet, shaking his head as he does. “Not happenin’.”
“Come one, Barry-” Rafe tries the same tactic on him, pulling him in and leaning down to brush a kiss to his lips but Barry simply leans back and shakes his head again.
“You’re fuckin’ crazy, baby boy, ain’t no way I’m lettin’ either of you jump off that damn cliff. Not a way in hell.”
“It’s completely safe.” Rafe tries to reason, “there’s no rocks at the bottom, we all know how to swim, it’s barely even 30 feet. We’ll be fine.” When Barry still doesn’t budge Rafe tries a different tactic. “Why don’t you come with us? It’ll be fun…” Rafe slides his hand from the middle of Barry’s back down to teasingly cup his ass, “Get the blood pumping. He murmurs, leaning in for another kiss. Barry ducks away again, shaking his head, though his movements are slower and more hesitant this time.
Rafe turns his puppy eyes on you, obviously expecting you to back him up.
You bite your lip, looking between your two partners. Rafe is set on this, you can tell by the stubborn look in his eyes, and Barry is already visibly bending to Rafe’s will. You don’t doubt Rafe’s hand still palming Barry’s ass cheek is helping with that.
With a small sigh and a glance over your shoulder and down at the water you say, “Rafe is right, Bear. It's only 30 feet. It will be fun."
Barry stares at you like you grew two heads, then slowly his shoulders slump and he lets out a groan. "Damnit," he mutters, pulling out of Rafe's arms.
"Fine. Fine, I'll fuckin' jump." He huffs, beginning to mutter under his breath, "Fuckin' crazy, ya' both are."
Rafe and you stand next to each other, facing the water, and with one last unintelligible grumble, he joins you. You wonder if Rafe is going to count to 3, or just jump, when suddenly you feel two warm hands grab ahold of your own at the same time. Rafe's hand is slightly larger, smoother, while Barry's is rough and holds onto your hand like you'll die if he doesn't.
"Alright." Rafe finally says, sounding slightly out of breath already. "On 3? One… two… three."
And then he's jumping, and so are you, pulling Barry down with you guys. Only a few seconds later you connect with the water, letting go of their hands on instinct so you can swim back to the top. You break the surface, inhaling the air deeply as you search for your partners. Rafe surfaces, then Barry, and you smile widely as you make eye contact with the both of them. A bout of giddy adrenaline rips a giggle from your throat and then all three of you are laughing as you hold yourself afloat in the water. The three of you swim the short distance to the beach.
"You two are fuckin' crazy," Barry chuckles, shaking his head with a fond look in his eyes. "You're fuckin' crazy people."
"We're your crazy people," Rafe states with a lopsided smirk, shaking the water from his hair.
Barry snorts. "You're somethin' alright."

DIABOLIK LOVERS DAYLIGHT  Vol.5 Sakamaki Kanato [TRACK 3]
Tumblr media
Original title: 僕の名前を呼んで
Source: Diabolik Lovers Daylight Vol. 5 Sakamaki Kanato
Audio: Here (Huge thank you to @filthyhelplessworld for providing the audio!)
Seiyuu: Kaji Yuki
Translator’s note: Now this is the angst I’ve been waiting for! I have to give Kaji Yuki huge props because he really had to rely on his entire voice range for this CD, haha. I’m not a Kanato stan by any means, but I did feel somewhat bad for him, despite his selfish behavior from earlier. You can really tell he was struggling all along but he doesn’t know how to convey his feelings so he just defaults to throwing anger tantrums instead.

Track 3: Say My Name
“Haah...School is such a chore. Perhaps I should just burn the whole building to the ground? ...I suppose I’ll just kill some time at the infirmary for no…”
*Rattle*
[00:20] “...!? ...You. ...Hah. I figured you were dead already since I hadn’t seen you in a while. You’ve actually been attending school, it seems. So, are you resting up here? I will excuse myself then. I came here hoping to get some alone time, but since someone is here, that plan has been completely ruined.”
He turns around.
“...Especially since it’s you. ...Well then.”
You stop him.
“Haah...What’s the matter?”
You ask if he’s feeling unwell.
[01:04] “Now why would that matter? It’s none of your business, is it? Please stop meddling with my affairs, it’s highly bothersome.”
You ask if he needs to suck your blood.
“Hahaha…! You would still be willing to offer me your blood after everything?”
You nod.
[01:27] “...While that is rather noble of you, don’t you think that perhaps you’re thinking a little too highly of yourself? If I’m thirsty, I will simply make my way to town. There are plenty of people who can take your role after all. ...Aren’t you the one who said that? ーー Either way, you do not need to worry about me.”
You frown.
“Is that all you had to say? Well then, goodbye.”
Kanato leaves.
[02:06] ( I thought you would return to my side if I continued to push you away like this. Crying, weeping, clinging to my legs. ...All while I remained completely ignorant to just how much your heart was aching. I’m sure that by this point...You had already made your resolve, had you not? )
*TIMESKIP*
[02:50] “The hours of boredom are finally over. Now to head straight home. ...Hm? That back side...It’s her, isn’t it? Hmph. I can tell straight away even when she has her head hanging down. ...Hm. Well, I suppose I shall give her a small chance. I can’t just give her the cold shoulder after all. (1)”
He approaches you.
“Good evening. (2).”
You flinch.
[03:26] “Hah. Why so surprised? Is it strange for me to approach you? That being said, I don’t exactly need anything from you. ...So, you were hunched forward quite a bit while walking, what’s the matter? Did something sad happen? ...Hah. If you insist, I would not mind hearing your story. I’m sure it will help combat my boredom. ...So, what happened?”
You brush him off.
“...! ...I-If you’re alright, I suppose that’s fine too. Heeh…”
You tell him you will head home now.
[04:17] “Yes, please be my guest and be on your merry way. By yourself.”
You walk away.
“Kuh…! ...Hey, wait!”
You come to a halt.
“The infirmary is my resting place, so you better stay away from it in the future!”
You nod.
“Hah...Well get going then! ...What’s the matter?”
You ask if he will be okay by himself.
[05:00] “More than okay. If anything, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders! Please don’t treat me like a child.”
You smile.
“...’I’m glad’ you say? ...Excuse me!?”
You turn around and walk away.
“Kuh…!!”
*TIMESKIP*
*Tick・tock・tick・tock*
[05:42] “...Honestly, what is her problem!? I was so kind as to strike up a conversation with her too…! ...Oh well, I wouldn’t mind if things remain this way either, of course. Even if she were gone, I’d be just…!”
*TIMESKIP*
*Tick・tock・tick・tock*
“Tsk...Aah, god!!”
*THUD*
[06:13] “Haah, haah...I have no idea where you are or what you are up to right now. You might be having your blood sucked by one of my other brothers for all I know. When I consider that possibility...I’m overcome by intense feelings of anger and despair. Haah...I...I don’t want this...Why won’t things just go my way!? Iーー To me, you’re so veryーー...! (3)”
*TIMESKIP*
*Tick・tock・tick・tock*
“Haah...Haah...Haah…”
*Tick・tock・tick・tock*
[07:19] “ーーUgh! Guess I have no other choice! At this rate, my rage will never be quelled. While I don’t like having to do this, I will bend. It’s frustrating, but...You’re all I have…”
He opens his drawer and pulls out a piece of paper.
*Flip*
*Scribble scribble*
*TIMESKIP*
You are standing out on the balcony.
*Knock*
[08:07] “...Are you still awake?”
You squeak.
“No need to be so surprised. I do come and visit you from time to time, no? Either way, I’m coming in.”
He enters your room.
[08:25] “Haah...I’m surprised to see you’re out on the balcony this late at night. Were you hoping to jump to your death, perhaps? ...That would only cause extra trouble, so please refrain from doing so. Haah...The wind feels chilly. I can’t believe you would come to such a cold place when you’re already feeling unwell. Are you an idiot?”
You remain quiet.
[09:07] “...Why not say something? Like you could ask me what I’m here for? Or say you’re happy to see me!? I’m sure you’ve got plenty to say!”
You start coughing.
“Haah...There you go coughing. That’s why I warned you. You really are hopeless. ...Without me, at least. ...Listen...I didn’t come to say this or anything...Ugh!”
*Flip*
[09:44] “This. Accept it already.”
You tilt your head to the side.
“It’s an invitation to a tea party. ...For just us two.”
[10:01] “Why, you ask…!? Do I have to spell it out for you!? Consider it my way of telling you that you’re once again allowed in my presence. You will obviously attend, no? I was so kind to invite you after all. Not to mention, this might be your once-in-a-lifetime chance to make things good between us.”
You hesitate.
“...What are you doing? Hurry up and accept the invitation! Otherwise I can’t return to my room! I want to rest already! It’s almost morning after all. ...Here!”
*Flip*
You stand there dazed.
[10:51] “...Do you not want it? ...But why!? I’m trying my absolute hardest to compromise! ...Are you perhaps okay with things staying the way they are right now? ...WHY WON’T YOU SAY ANYTHING!? For one, you’re the one who caused this whole ordeal in the first place! I don’t know what your intention was, but you pestered me by going on about ‘dying’ and such!
...In reality, you should be the one apologizing to me. Begging for my mercy. Do you have any idea how I felt coming heーー”
*Rustle*
[11:45] “...!? Hey…? Are you listening? You’ve been acting somewhat off this whole time. You seem awfully pale too...Is something the matter?”
You collapse.
*Thud*
“...!? H-Hey! Are you okay!? HEY!”
Kanato touches your skin.
“Cold as ice…!? Why, all of a sudden…!? How come…!?”
*Cling*
“This bottle...Don’t tell me…”
*Sniff*
[12:24] “Poison…? Did you drink this? Then...You were actually trying to die? But why…? …! Because I told you...you could be easily replaced?”
*Rustle*
“You can’t! Open your eyes!”
*Rustle*
[12:54] “Hang in there! I was obviously lying when I said that! Why don’t you understand!? I-I mean...To me, you’re just soーー!”
You tell him he wouldn’t believe you.
“No! You’re wrong…!! When you said you were dying, I didn’t actually disbelieve you. I justーー!”
You admit to how sad it made you.
[13:16] “Uu…It was never my intention to make you suffer either…! I just…Uu…Hic…I can’t bear the thought of it…Of a world without you…I didn’t want to believe that day would come…! That’s why I turned a blind eye to itーー! Yet…Why…Why did it turn out like this…? Hic…Say?”
*Rustle*
“Open your eyes…Wake up! …Wake up, please…!!”
*Rustle*
[14:00] “I mean…This just can’t be…No...Who…Who gave you permission to do this!?”
You have passed out.
“…Open your eyes…and say my name…Like you always would…Please! ...Uu...No...You won’t let get away with this! I won’t let this happen!! ...UWAAAAAAAAH!!!”

Translation notes
(1) Kanato refers to the ‘carrot and stick’ method here, in which punishment and reward are alternated.
(2) ごきげんよう is a very snobbish/high class way to greet someone. You won’t actually hear it much in modern day Japan, but some characters in anime say it
(3) His sentence is cut off, but it’s heavily implied he wants to say something along the lines of ‘but you mean so much to me’ or ‘I love you so much’.
