Magolor Nintendo DREAM.

Hello! I thought I should share this article from Nintendo DREAM. Nintendo DREAM is a magazine from Japan all about Nintendo! I'm pretty sure it isn't actually official, but they work pretty closely with Nintendo for interviews and the like.

I wanted to share this article in particular because it really reinforces a lot of my own thoughts on Magolor that either aren't outright stated in-game and/or that people often get wrong.

To summarise, says multiple times that Magolor and Kirby are very good friends, talks about how powerful and cute and playful Magolor is, it talks about his love for himself and his general friendly cheeriness, it shows his competence, and it talks about his great communication skills…

What a great article! (You can just use your browser's translation feature to read this article. Most of it is pretty much correct, outside of some names and pronouns.)

I just drove myself mad trying to find the source for Bulbapedia's "Aster was the previous Lorekeeper" Claim on Zinnia's page since the source was a Twitter Post that doesn't exist anymore (not that I disbelieved it I just wanted to see the source) but it turns out I didn't have to because Bulbapedia has a page on Aster which I somehow completely missed and that also has the same claim with a source but the link instead goes to an archived version of that tweet with the scans. So, uh, for posterity's sake, here's the archived tweet by @karubiimunomono, whose account has since been suspended for who knows what reasons.

And here's the scan of the June 2015 Nintendo Dream issue from the Tweet as well as a version run through Google Translate. The Google Translate one is blurry but you can make out in the center column that it does say Zinnia was taking over the role of "A person with special abilities called Shigana." Shigana is Aster's Japanese name and it correlates with what the wiki says and also what Pokemon Adventures says so, hey, there's a source.

Guess I have to make a Bulbapedia account to correct the citation error on Zinnia's page now.

Update: I found a post from 2020 on Japanese Microblogging Site Ameba from a user named ガタル (Google Translates that as Gatar) that transliterates the article. So here's a link to that. Running it through translate provides the same information but readable.

The Dec. 2018 issue of Nintendo Dream packs in a pretty interesting bonus. The issue includes a 15-track Undertale Fan Selection CD, which features hours of music from the game. This issue will be out Oct. 20th, 2018 in Japan.
