Sauber is a cradle for the future—a proving ground for prodigies destined to carve their names into the annals of hunting history. It is for hunters who want to savour the pursuit, who want yo relish the taste of the hunt lingering on their tongues, one last time.

But the god stirs anew, shedding its old skin for a rebirth that whispers of hope. It promises better days, a revival waiting in the wings. Yet, for now, Sauber remains where it has always been—Mediocre.

This really took me too long to draw TT I'm happy with it though!

Fun fact: Kevin's helmet is an amalgamation of like 5 different reference photos because I could not for the life of me find his current helmet in this specific angle that ALSO had the little clear plastic bits :( the "play'n GO" ad at the front of the helmet also changes colours and straight up disappears depending on the photo so I just.... got rid of it

F1 Grid as Animals

Was drawing my leonin dnd character and he somehow ended up looking like Max, which obviously had me thinking about the whole Dutch Lion stuff, and then what animal I would associate with the other drivers based on looks, region, and personalities.

Max Vertsappen - Transvaal Lion (obvious reasons and Transvaal sometimes have a naturally have a lighter coat.)

Checo Perez - Chocolate Labrador (look friendly but are still considered a gun dog)

Daniel Ricciardo - Honey Badger (for obvious reasons but also they are know to take on and defend against lions in the wild)/Doberman or Beauceron with floppy ears (ears get snipped at Mclaren)

Yuki Tsunoda - Japanese Sparrowhawk (can be aggressive despite their smaller size. Great agility)

Liam Lawson - Bull Terrier (The look really similar, idk how to explain it)

Isack Hadjar - Striped Hyena

Carlos Sainz - Spanish Fighting Bull/Black Andalusian Horse

Charles Leclerc - Thoroughbred Horse/ European Hare

Lando Noriss - Irish Red Setter (again, a family friendly gun dog. Has the curls)

Oscar Piastri - Whistling Kite (not as aggressive as other birds of prey but still a very agile hunter)

Lewis Hamilton - Black Leopard

George Russel- Sika Deer (very gorgeous but has an aggressive streak)

something about george russell being hyperaware and vocal about track safety for himself and other drivers even if it slows him down, something about fernando giving franco colapinto advice his first week in, the mclaren boys continuing to be happy with each other even when the team screws them over, hamilton reminding motorsports spectators and competitors alike that kimi antonelli is still just a kid after all and has a long way to go, max and charles congratulating each other after almost every race even when one of them gets a win and the other gets something like their worst drive of the season, alex and oscar defending logan sargeant as having so much untapped potential even if hes no longer racing, pierre and seb going out of their way every year to honor drivers who have passed, esteban ocon going out of his way to welcome new drivers to the grid, kmag fighting tooth and nail to get nico hulkenberg one point, nico rosberg shredding team principals with poor team treatment on live television

How does drivers call each other based on Grill the Grid

Drivers calling each other GTG

So, I did a little analysis on how the drivers are referring to each other in the last Grill the Grid video!!

You need to read the line to see how that driver is calling the ones in the columns.

Some conclusions :

Lando and Lewis are mostly referenced by their names as his Zhou but that's a specific case.

Checo and Danny have nicknames

Charles went all out on the name/surname combo

Max, Logan, Alex and Estie loves calling the others by their names only

Lando uses surnames unless your his friend, (ex)teammate or Lewis

Oscar uses surnames unless your Max, Lando, Logan or Zhou

George says Lance but Lance says Russell

Nico called George "Georgie" (while saying he has feminine lips...so what you want with that!)

There are many more things to read into this... In a more serious way or with shipping glasses.
