Graded syzygies is pretty readable! There are lots of thorough examples(, and the font size is big enough that it doesn't feel super dense lol).

Monomial ideals is also quite good, I think (but maybe a bit more on the concise side).

The two other books I bought purely because they were the textbooks in courses I took. Do not recommend.

(And Atiyah-MacDonald ❤️. Not really very easy to learn from because it's so extremely dense and polished, but it's also beautiful and my favourite book (except for tlotr of course). Not a good place to start learning, but a good place to start looking at what you should learn, or something like that.)

he lwky stalks you around campus while everyone is like ??? and saiki is like 🤦

"I have to keep an eye on them, what if they're telling all of our secrets to dark reunion!?" "Yeah, because what would happen if the world knew about the roleplay diary under your bed?"

but anyway

he stalks you around campus and you literally are just so painfully normal that he almost gives up

then one day he sees you sneak off to the back of the school during lunch and hes like OMG SUS!

so he follows you and sees you crouch behind some bushes

and before he even sees what you're doing he's like "HAH I KNEW YOU WERE PART OF DARK REUNION, NOW I THE JETT BLACK WINGS HAVE COME TO STOP YOU!"

and you're like "The jett black what..?"

turns out you were just setting food out for a stray cat that comes by but he scared it away with his yelling...

wow now he's so embarrassed

then he runs off

he keeps observing you after that and now he notices how cool you actually are

despite not talking much, you still offer to help people at times and are always considerate of those around you
