S2 E3 Agents of Shield 10th Anniversary

10 years ago today we…

Started the episode shocked that Simmons is undercover at Hydra!

Laughed as “Dad Coulson” came out. (I can hear him say sriracha!)

Smiled as Fitz faced Ward for the first time since he was dropped in the ocean. (My baby being brave!)

Were conflicted about Simmons’ dilemma of helping Donnie and keeping her cover. (My other baby staying strong undercover!

Left feeling uneasy as it was revealed that Hydra was using hypnosis!

Had our jaws drop as we watched Skye shot and killed Donnie (and in turn became a very important moment in her character arc)

Sorry this came out so late! I actually forgot to do this, sorry!

Recommended to me by a work colleague, I went into this show completely blind.

10 episodes later; I believe this will go down as one of the great spy thrillers of recent times.

This show is an absolute masterclass.

The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. He soon meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.

There were a few things that bugged me. Like the coincidence of Alison's daughter dying in police custody. And the coincidence of Nuria recognising him at the flower market in a passing car.

And small details like that the rifle was not pointing downwards from the 16th floor during the assassination in Germany.

Because they wanted to stretch the season I can understand the need to add more story strands. But I would've preferred fewer personal problems of the main protagonists. Especially the existence of Nuria's brother was distracting. Without them it would've been possible to tell the story in eight episodes.

Despite those complaints, it's an entertaining watch. Much of it has to do with the two main leads.

S2 E1 Agents of Shield 10th Anniversary

10 years ago today we…

Opened up the new season with an Agent Cater and Howling Commandos cameo!

Learned what the original 0-8-4 was.

We met a new character with powers, Carl Creel.

And new characters without powers such as mercenary Lance Hunter.

Smiled as we saw Ward in the place where he belongs (That’s what you get for trying to kill my sweet innocent science babies you Hydra scum! Sorry, still not over the Season 1 Finale.)

Were saddened at seeing Fitz struggling to recover from the accident without Simmons.

Welcome Back to AOS! Season 2 is getting off to a rough start but don’t worry our heroes will still save the day!
