Does Ngozi know about your books? Or have you talked to her?

I sort of talked to Ngozi once a couple years back when she did a signing/meet and greet at Book People here in Austin. During Q&A, I asked and she kindly answered a question a couple of my students sent with me (I taught the first omgcp book in my Graphic Narrative course and we'd just wrapped that unit). But other than that, no. I have no idea if she knows about my books. I sent her a message through the portal on her website before LRPD was published explaining briefly who I was and how LRPD had come about. I offered to send her an advanced copy if she was interested in reading it, but I didn't expect to hear back and I never did. A. because I don't even know if she reads those messages––could be her agent or someone else and B. She's busy being a New York Times bestselling writer, lol.

Remember when Heart of the Land was announced and all we knew about it was that there would be three new characters -- Sora, Jean-Luc and Ngozi -- and we thought they were replacing the Four as protagonists? Honestly, if they went that route, it might have been better than whatever arc three was.
