SHINee's Onew (under SM Entertainment), who has a unique voice, will release two new Japanese solo songs. Onew plans to release two Japanese solo songs, 'INSPIRATION' and 'Knock On My Door', through various global music platforms at midnight on the 22nd. According to SM Entertainment, the new song 'INSPIRATION' is a song that stands out with a catchy melody. The emotional atmosphere of the song is harmonized. Also, Onew performed on MBC's 'Show! In 'Music Core', she showed off her popularity by winning first place without appearing with the title song 'O (Circle)' of her first full-length album of her dreamy charm. On the other hand, Onew's first full-length album 'Circle', since its release on March 6th, has been ranked #1 on various music charts weekly, won two circle charts, #1 on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 32 regions worldwide, #1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, and Recochoku in Japan. 1 on the daily album rankings.

mom avoids dead anime mom curse because he transitions. he’s always had a complicated relationship with pregnancy because of how woefully little people are told about potential complications and aftercare, and also because of how gendered it is, so after the birth of his second child he’s finally had it and decides to transition

he joins a local community group for mothers and at first it’s played for laughs how often they fall to the dead mom curse, but soon we find out more about how society has failed mothers and people who give birth, from information being withheld, procedures being carried out without consent, lack of accommodations and maternal and paternal leave, racism…

it also turns out that becoming a man doesn’t help with this, not really, because being a pregnant trans man brings its own problems. follow along as he learns more about being a parent and a mother, and maybe even… finding love???

The Typhlosion story read like a ‘beware of yokai’ type of story which should have been read as folktales - and considering PLA has an entire population that treated pokemon as though they were malevolent yokai I’m surprised it didn’t click for more people.

Typhlosion shed its pelt to appear human so it’s like the most obvious trickster youkai type story. But also it’s not canon. I really don’t understand why people got so hung up on it. And if it was, I would appreciate learning more about what kinds of folk tales are passed around in the Pokémon world. The idea of mythology being explored in greater detail in DPPt was part of why they captivated me.

#idk pokemon fans are too incurious to understand japanese mythology in sinnoh #ask them the significance of spear pillar’s name and you’d be lucky to find a single person who could give you an answer #i expect this to be the last ask i respond to regarding the typhlosion story because i’m really just repeating myself here #i can’t imagine i’ll have anything new to say about this

thinking about espio “overly dramatic and a fan of the traditional way of doing things, probably including romantic gestures” the chameleon and silver “massive fan of gardening and plants and nature” the hedgehog. something something silver loves flowers and flowers are a very customary romantic gift

espio would make silver a bouquet and go out of his way to choose flowers specifically for their meanings, and silver would actually know what all the meanings are and find this to be the sweetest and most romantic thing anyone has done ever. espio will be riding this high for months.

i was going to make a post telling yall to stop calling godzilla minus one a low-budget film (because it isn't) but then i remembered disney regularly drops 12 million for ONE EPISODE of their shows without nearly the same cultural impact so. yeah godzilla is low-budget as far as i'm concerned idc

#uhhhh me #film budget is such an interesting thing to think abt #for those curious: godzilla had a budget of 10 million #which seems like a lot until you compare it to an average hollywood action movie which is like. 100 million easy #incidentally that is oppenheimer's budget!#so seeing that you go wow! why the discrepency?#as far as i can figure. american movies go for the big mass appeal so they'll out more money into international releases etc #whereas japanese films only rly care about domestic release so they save a stupid amount of money there #(i'm sure there's more to this and i have my theories but i don't have hard data rn to back it up so i won't say it)#so anyway. 10 mil is a very modest budget by hollywood standards but by japan standards it's above average actually #oh yeah the other thing about budgets i always come back to #is the fact the percy jackson show had 12 million per episode #but did not look or feel nearly as good as shadow and bone which had average 4 mil per episode. literally a third what percy had #the allegiant movie had an estimated ~120 mill budget and somehow was worse in every single way than the scorch trials movie #which had 61 mil. HALF what allegiant had and yet literally everything about it was more pleasing #one of my fave sci-fi films prospect has less than 4 mil budget and yes you could tell the cgi was unreal sometimes #it was done in a way that looked artistic instead of cheap and glossy #and i would watch that over whatever new movie the mcu pops out with like. 200 mil budget that somehow looks uglier-#-than a movie on 4 mil #oh my god what in the fucking world. antman 3 had 300 million. whomst.#and the movie didn't even look good? the audacity #7 times prospect's budget and looks like shit #anyway. budget is a weird thing #it rly comes down to who's handling the project and how smartly they use that money #oh ya the other thing i was gonna say is i do think there's a difference between 'low budget film' and 'film with a lower budget'#i think godzilla is a lower budget film (comparatively to hollywood) but not a low budget film. if you catch my drift.

im still so hyped over oceanic timezones (/eastern timezones would be the more accurate term) being added to the qsmp dude. i dont have to play guessing games trying to figure out what time it is for the streamer/how long theyre going to be live for because acau is just 2 hours behind me. and its just so!!!!!! AAAAAA!!!!!!!! idk i think its just because its pretty disappointing waking up early to watch morning crew for example just to find out theyre ending at like 7am my time so im just so so so excited to have creators thatll be awake when im awake and end stream when im going to sleep

I loaf technology

#context: I've been learning japanese for the past. um #*checks date* 2 months or so.. well. there was also one time I started studying then gave up in 1-2 months but I'm not counting that #and it's been coming along but by far my biggest weakness is my lack of vocabulary #I don't find the grammar super difficult but since I only know 800-900 words #(for comparison the average native speaker knows about 20k words)#most of the time that I read/listen to something and don't understand shit it's bc there's too many words that I don't know #I learn 20 new words a day thru flashcards + occasionally pick up some words here and there subconsciously just from watching stuff in jp #(that's also how/why I started watching inazuma eleven recently. and now I know too many fucking soccer terms in japanese)#but still I'm an impatient boy so I was like ok. what if I try to read stuff to pick up more vocabulary #usually this would be near impossible (or rather incredibly tedious) because I don't know enough words to really read anything #and I'd spend forever just looking up every single word that I don't know right #well thanks to the power of technology and a good pop-up dictionary extension I don't have to worry about that #and today I managed to install the extension on my phone too (I didn't know it was possible or else I would've done it sooner)#so now I can read. japanese inazuma eleven fanfic from my phone. lol #it'll still be pretty annoying of course since I'll have to look up MOST words anyway #but at least the process will have been simplified by a lot #anyway. that's why I loaf technology #lucasings
