Overactive bladder is a problem with the bladder function as a person may feel a sudden urgency to urinate. This urgency to urinate is such that a person may not control the urine and pass it out. Also, a person with an overactive bladder may pass urine multiple times within a day and night. Symptoms of overactive bladder are uncontrollable urgency to urinate, incontinence episodes, daytime frequency, and frequent nighttime urination. It may cause stress in the patient's life and affect the quality of life. If you are facing any of these symptoms, consult a Urologist. It is a treatable condition, and you may need to make some changes to lifestyle, take few medications, and rarely undergo some procedures like nerve modulation, Bladder injection etc.

Continuous Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters Products: Understanding Market Size, Share, and Growth Trajectories
The global continuous peripheral nerve block (cPNB) catheters market is expected to reach USD 292.8 million by 2025, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc., progressing at a CAGR of 6.2% during the forecast period. Growing orthopedic surgery volumes resulting from the rising prevalence of osteoarthritis and increasing preference for ambulatory surgical centers are the key growth stimulants for the cPNB catheters market. According to the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), over 546,000 total hip arthroplasty and 789,500 total knee arthroplasty procedures were performed in the U.S. in 2014. Of these, almost 70.0% of hip replacement operations are performed to relieve symptoms of osteoarthritis. This shows the potential demand for these devices in the coming years.

Further key findings from the study suggest
The ultrasound segment, based on the insertion technique, held the dominant share of 48.2% owing to associated advantages including improved block quality, faster and longer block duration, and a reduced dose of local anesthetic
Lower extremity surgeries represented the most prominent position in the market due to the increasing number of hip and knee replacement surgeries involving the use of cPNB catheters
The ambulatory surgical centers segment is estimated to exhibit a noteworthy CAGR during the forecast period. This can be attributed to related benefits such as shorter waiting list, quick discharge, reduced overall procedural cost, and treatment of a higher number of patients
Hospitals held 58.5% of the cPNB catheters market
Europe is anticipated to register a CAGR of 6.4% during the forecast period owing to the high number of surgeries performed in this region, which involve cPNB usage to manage postoperative pain.

The rate of ambulatory surgeries is escalating due to a growing number of ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs), shortened recovery time, and continued improvements in regional anesthesia techniques. Costs of surgeries in ASC settings are approximately 60.0% less in comparison to those performed in hospitals. The recent inclusion of ambulatory surgeries for reimbursement of knee replacement surgeries by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in the U.S., along with the inherent benefits of cPNB usage, is likely to boost the demand for these catheters in the coming years.

Christmas is definitely not a good time for spoonies I've realised. I've had multiple flares in the last few weeks just purely from getting things sorted despite keeping our Christmas quite quiet this year. Still trying to stay positive though as we pack up our possessions to hopefully move into our own house. Any other spoonies currently trying to fight off a flare? What are your methods to help you relax and feel a bit better? I'm currently flat on my back with my TENS machine and lots of plushies and soft cute things. #fibromyalgia #health #chronicpain #chronicfatigue #condition #lolitafashion #eglcommunity #lockshopwigs #lockshoplovers #tensmachine #nervestimulation #braininflamation #fibro #alternativefashion #painpaingoaway #cantmove #spoonie #spoonies https://www.instagram.com/p/BsBgBuEHsgg/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1kucjyu0tdai8

Researchers will attempt to ‘reanimate’ a corpse with stem cells
Researchers will attempt to ‘reanimate’ a corpse with stem cells
Brain death may no longer be a life sentence if one Philadelphia-based biomedical startup has its way. The company, Bioquark, plans to initiate a study later this year to see if a combination of stem cell and protein blend injections, electrical nerve stimulation, and laser therapy can reverse the effects of recent brain death. They’re literally trying to bring people back from dead. “It’s our…

Friday 28th April 2017 - I was up early again this morning to go back over to Frimley Park Hospital. This time it was to see my Urologist. He was running about half an hour late, which wasn't too bad. I told him how I've been since I had the Botox done. As it hasn't really made a positive difference, he's going to refer me to a specialist in London to discuss the possibility of having a device implanted in my spine to stimulate the nerves in my bladder. I came home feeling absolutely exhausted and fell asleep on the sofa for ages. I didn't wake up until about 2pm - oops! I had my Fortisip and watched a bit of TV. Then I spent my afternoon working towards my narrative article. Bekkah brought Trinity (her goddaughter) over, so I got to have a cuddle with her - she's so tiny! This evening my Dad and I went out for dinner to the @beefeateruk who had very kindly asked me to go and review their restaurant. There will be a proper post on my blog soon, but here's a sneak peek at the lemon gin & tonic trifle I had for my pudding. It was amazing! #happy #happyphoto #jenshappyphotos #jenshappyproject #spoonie #spoonieproblems #eds #ehlersdanlos #ehlersdanlossyndrome #pots #dysautonomia #bladderproblems #urologist #nervestimulation #chronicfatigue #blog #blogger #bloggers #blogging #food #foodblogger #foodbloggers #beefeater #trifle (at Beefeater Downshire Arms)
