The Intubation:

“We need to intubate you now. Don't scared I inject you a sleeping drug” tells the doctor.

The doctor opens the IV-access in her arm and put the syringe in and then he injects the sleeping drug into her vein.

"You will feel a little dizzy and sleepy now” he explains.

The patient still whispers something to himself and then she slowly drifts of and loses consciousness. Now the doctor opens her eyeslids and checks her pupils of reaction.

Her pupils are great and don’t react right.

“Okay she is gone take me the laryngoscope please” tells the doctor.

A nurse hands him the laryngoscope and the doctor snipped the light on it. Her head will be tilts back and overstretched.

The doctor opens her mouth and insert slowly the laryngoscope. He put it on the tongue and press it down and then he pushes into her throat carefully. The doctor takes the et-tube and insert it in and navigate it slowly into her trachea.

The et-tube is in, and the doctor blocks it, by the inflated the Cuff at the end on the tube.

Now the doctor needs to check if the intubation is successful. A nurse put the ambu bag on the et-tube and presses on the ambu bag and blows air in the tube and the doctor listens to both sides of the lungs to see if they are well ventilated and breathing sounds are audible.

"Breath sounds on both sides of the lung" says the doctor.

Now the ambu bag is disconnected from the tube and the ventilator is connects it and the patient is ventilated.
