Thinking about you being wheeled into the hospital paramedic straddling your waist delivering harsh compressions while the other has the ambu bag pressed to your face. You have a neck brace on and aed pads still on your chest as you just coded in the back of the ambulance. once in the room a team lifts you up and places you on the hospital bed. All your clothes are immediately cut off leaving you completely nude in a room full of strangers. A strong doctor takes over compressions rocking your body. Head nodding with every thrust arms flailing to the side and bare feet rocking in sync with compressions. A nurse quickly puts the tube down your throat before grabbing the defibrillator. She rubs the jell onto the paddles before placing them onto your bare chest. “Clear” your body arches up before crashing down. You undergo a brutal code for the next 30 minutes before they get a pulse back. What do you want to happen next?
Well that's a fun little story.
After successfully restoring my pulse, I remain in a critical condition, completely unresponsive and unable to breathe independently. My pulse is weak but stable, requiring close monitoring. The medical team is urgently investigating the underlying cause of the arrest. They are utilizing ultrasound imaging and other advanced diagnostic tools to assess my injuries. The team is also considering whether immediate surgical intervention is necessary or if I should be transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for further stabilization and observation. Either of which I'm lickley to code again.
