Random post about my oc- but in case you were wondering, Theo does have his place in Dragons Rising, and he acts as a mentor for Euphrasia because he's also a Master of Wind, the way that works comes in 3 possible ways:

1. Theo still is the EM of Wind, and Euphrasia is the master of an element very similar to Wind, like Air or smt like that.

2. Once he went back to being human after merging with the Sky, Theo seemed to have lost the element of Wind and that one went to Euphrasia, in this version Theo still has his magic and storm powers, maybe he becomes the EM of Storm, who knows?

3. After Theo merge with the Sky to save the world, the last remnants of Wojira's essence dissipated through the realm of Ninjago, staying dormant until Merge, and after it the elemental essence caused a bunch of people to recieve either the element of Wind or the element of Water, one of those people being Euphrasia.

In this last version there are 8 new masters of Wind, known as the Eight Cardinals, and 7 new masters of Water, known as the Seven Seas.

Finally some focus on Chief Vick! Kirsten nelson did a great job on the first real ep where she gets to play a more substantial role. (“Head detective my ass” always makes me chuckle) i only wish it had been more. She was more of an obstacle than part of the plot, though i guess technically her character kind of grew at the end. She does admit she was overreacting with Shawn but this realization was done off screen. I’d have loved to see her try to run over her husband, and having a little breakdown. Something that gave her more depth. I want to know who she is as a person. Was she a runner who wanted to get back into it so she can finally have some time for herself? Does she struggle with who she wants to be as a mother? Was the baby even planned? Was she concerned it would affect her job, or her ability to do her job? Idk, just something that added a bit more color to her character tapestry. I think theres a lot to explore here is all.

Perhaps im biased, but i feel like Shawns reaction is a bit out of character. Like yeah, he’d find it a boring assignment but i also think he’d understand how important it is to the Chief and take it seriously. Plus, Gus is right, she gives them cases, it’s pretty important for their business that they remain on her good side. And in the end he didn’t help her at all. The nephew just came back and that was the resolution. i think i would’ve preferred if Shawn had been struggling to find them too. Like every nanny he came across he could find something wrong with them because Chief Vick deserves the best. Or he had a nanny picked out all along, she just couldn’t start right away but he somehow needed the excuse to look into the nanny burglary ring? Idk. I guess its not really that big a deal. Perhaps it was to introduce a flaw in Shawns character. Like they were saying he needs the thrills to make the job worthwhile. Which is fine, i think that aligns with his overall character. In fact, i wouldn’t be surprised if he fucked somethings up later just to bump up the challenge for shits and giggles (which is such a weird phrase btw). I just think in this one specific case, he would have handled it with a bit more care.

I wish they could have expanded on Nanny Henry! Like he was going to refuse to keep helping out but Chief Vick broke out her mommy voice and also kind of pleaded with him for help. Then we could have gotten some scenes of them, maybe talking about the past, or Henry asking her to look out for Shawn since he doesn’t have the police as part of his squad and therefore no backup, which Chief Vick explains that he’s practically a member anyways and would be treated as such, not only because of who his dad is but because he’s practically one of her own anyways, so of course she has his back.

IM HAVING A FUCKING TIME ALRIGHT. okso the ummm the ermmmm. puzzle agent + puzzle agent 2 are a set of games developed by graham annable (who worked on curse of monkey island funnily enough) and telltale games the gameplay is similar to a point and click adventure game but not fully, youre always in a stationary location for every room, and you can click around to talk to ppl, inspect things and do puzzles, which is what the whole game is about really, solving puzzles, its not like point and click puzzles, you dont even have an inventory, its more like small self contained puzzles much like professor layton style. via solving those you advance the story, which surrounds FBI agent nelson tethers, whos from the puzzle solving department, who has to figure out why the eraser factory they get their erasers from has stopped working, and upon entering the small town, starts to learn theres more to it than it seems the characters are very very nicely written and voiced!!!! its a real visual treat. the UI elements are very nicely designed, and while the game looks mostly 2D, its actually 2D on 3D which i rlly enjoy!!! the game is made with telltale tool which the sam n max and tales of monkey island games were also made with so im really surprised how they did that. I DUNNO ITS A VERY VERY GOOD AND FUN GAME. BOTH GAMES ARE LIKE 5 DOLLARS EACH AND THEY CAN BOTH BE BEATEN WITHIN A FEW HRS SO ITS A FUN SMALL PLAYTHROUGH FOR AN INSANELY FUN STORY AND CHARACTERS which btw, the first game is VERY good but it ends on a cliffhanger, and the second one gets at its peak about halfway through. which is why im so insane over it

This storyline is literally just called 'Robert'./lh

An expedition crew ends up setting out to a well known island in the middle of nowhere just to see if they can find any artifacts, with the permission of the people actually living there of course. The island is known for being very secretive—so the crew is very excited already. However, when they get there, one of them ends up being bound by a poisonous plant—and as he's passing out, he sees two little twin girls before waking up.

Describing what he saw to those who rescued him, they think he's hallucinating at first—but a much crazier artifact they found on the island leads them to believe it might not be that crazy, especially considering there's a local legend outside of the island about the spirits of two small twin girls. They ask to go back without telling them why, and the island let's them.

They search again, and what do ya know—they find two little twin girls giggling at them. One of them, the main guy named Nelson ends up trying to take them though—and as they scream and as someone tries to stop him, the inhabitants suddenly begin to slowly emerge from the shadows, glaring at the man who took them. The man gets frightened, and like a coward, he puts them back as one of the inhabitants takes them off to safety. They're then kicked out, as they should be.

However, the man who tried to take them is stubborn and prideful as hell, so he sneaks back when no one's looking. And kidnaps the girls, taking them back to his city. The girls warn him, saying 'Rora' will get him—but he taunts them, even mocking whoever this 'Rora' is. He shows the girls off to the public as an entertainment attraction and scientific discovery. No one but a few people see whats wrong with this, and despite many protests from said people, Nelson makes the girls put on a show for the public anyway.

I see so much value in myself, so much potential, but I keep deeming my light, I keep hurting myself because I won’t learn from my mistakes.

Every single man I ever loved or wanted never wanted me, and when they do all I do is lie and I end up conform to be what they want and they still end up leaving or hurting me beyond repair

Gosh I have only ever received flowers from one man in my entire life and obviously he only had one motive. Then I got a necklace from Nelson who forgot my birthday

One thing that scarred me for ever and I pretend till today that it’s okay but it really is not, the one time I thought I found my person, he completely broke me into a million pieces to the extent I just wanted to die. Decieved me, shared my body that was meant to be sacred and treated me like I was worth completely nothing, verbally abused me for 2 years and going on and I can’t defend myself because I literally feel helpless each time

And it’s been the most painful thing I had to go through alone and I’m so tired and done with loving and now I just want to focus on myself and stay away from the drama and just disappear for months to figure out my life

A/N: I haven’t written in over a year and I haven’t published anything for longer. This isn’t going to be the best thing you’ve ever read, it’s literally just a test run inspired by the new year. I had a lot of fun writing it though so it makes it worth it! Criticism is encouraged btw 😁

Matthew Murdock wasn’t emotionless. He shed a few tears in front of someone here and there, let people see him in pain. Physical and emotional. But there was a certain point in his life where he stopped telling people the reasoning behind what he felt. Not long after his father died he realized how frustrating it was for people to come up to him and tell him that they sympathize with him. Not that he didn’t appreciate them trying to help, but most of them had no idea what it felt like to lose their only support system. He didn’t know if it was wrong of him to feel anger over this, but he did.

In college he told his roommate, and bestfriend, Foggy, about the traumatic events that had occurred in his life. Going blind, losing his father, feeling alone. Foggy was one of the few people in his life who didn’t treat him like a piece of glass because of his history. For a while it gave Matt some encouragement to open up to people more, but not everyone was like Foggy.

Matthew had the occasional college girlfriend. Some he felt like he could trust, like Foggy, to not walk on eggshells around him. Some didn’t, but all of them treated him like a wounded soldier, needing to be fixed. Matthew Murdock didn’t need to be fixed, far from it. There came a point in his life where Matt chose to stop telling people the reasoning behind his emotions. As time went on he found himself needing the support that he so aggressively pushed away with how little he shares of himself. A little support wouldn’t be that bad, especially with the stressful double life he lives.

He wasn’t sure why anyone besides himself, Foggy, and Karen would want to work at Nelson and Murdock. Sometimes he even wondered why the three of them worked at Nelson and Murdock. He knew the answer, to help others, but it’s not something everyone preferred over money. Especially with the price tag of living in New York. Yet here you were, asking the three of them if they would be willing to have another attorney on board. Matthew’s heightened senses immediately focused on you. Your heartbeat, steady and calm. Your voice, genuine and confident. It didn’t take heightened senses to pick up on these things. The three of them immediately allowed you into their office space. 

Over time Matt found himself picking up on little things about you. The way you concentrated so hard you couldn’t hear anything around you, your flirty manner which you didn’t even seem to notice about yourself, the way your heart raced whenever he complimented you, even though your voice didn’t have an ounce of nervousness in it. He loved all of these things about you. They weren’t enough for Matthew to want to tell you everything about himself, at his core Matthew was a cautious person, even around someone as comforting as you. But it was enough for him to spend more time at the office, just to get more time with you. This time allowed you to pick up on things about him. The tiredness that seemed to wander around his eyes, under his red shades. The scratches and bruises he so obviously tried to hide, but there were so many he couldn’t cover them all. You never commented on them, you weren’t one to pry. And those weren’t the only things you picked up on. His messy hair, a style he seemed to prefer. His full, toothy smile. And the playful personality he revealed to you quickly after meeting that complimented yours so well. It was obvious to everyone you two would make the perfect pair. Not just to Foggy and Karen, but to the people who turned to stare at you guys whenever your rambunctious laughs went off at Josie’s. It was even obvious to Matt, so obvious. But he knew the intemiancy that came with being more than friends would make him tell you everything about himself. He couldn’t risk having you wanting to fix him just like everyone else. What you had was so perfect how it was.

Quality time between you and Matt began to leave the office. You would find yourselves going to coffee, walking in parks, anything if it meant being in each other’s company. You had a great eye for detail. Every time you saw Matt the exhaustion grew in his eyes, in his voice. You didn’t want to ask questions and risk pushing him away, but you knew something was off. And the thought of losing your friend because he wore himself out to death was worse than the thought of losing him because you decided to care. 

He was slouching  down against his office chair, arm tossed over his eyes. You’d found him in this position way too many times to count this week. Even though he sat up straight whenever you asked if he was okay, every answer came out as a half assed mumble, too exhausted to give you his usual playful remark. Hoping that a smile was enough to convince you everything was okay. 

You guys had plans that were made over a week ago to sit at Matt’s rooftop eating the cheap take out from the restaurant around the corner. So there you were, listening to the noise of New York with a comfortable silence between the two of you. A silence you knew you had to break even though you dreaded the possibility of creating tension with what you needed to ask. 

“Matty?” You intended it to come out with a firm voice, but instead you were met with a gentle whisper.

“Yeah?” He waited a few long seconds to answer, trying to grasp the only bit of calm he’d had all week.

“Why are you so tired?” The question came out more blunt than you had intended but you couldn’t find any other way to form the words. 

It was times like this Matt was grateful that no one could hear heartbeats like he could. Though if they could he wasn’t sure they would hear much from him right now, his heart had dropped to his stomach. The words that he had hoped to avoid as long as he could hit the surface far too soon. They circled in his head for what felt like hours and he didn’t know why, he’d usually give a brief answer like, “the stress is catching up to me is all,” but this was different. He picked up on the genuine care and thought in your voice, the softness.  It was refreshing. He hadn’t heard something like it for longer than he could remember. Matthew felt like his mouth was cut open but instead of blood gushing out it was words that came rushing to the surface. He had so much he wanted to tell you, but he didn’t know how. It was overwhelming. Years of avoiding this moment from everyone like the plague, and he forgot how to let go.

 He didn’t know when the tears formed, he felt like he had been there for hours but it couldn’t have been longer than a minute. He didn’t have his glasses he usually used as a shield, keeping any emotion that tried to reveal itself in. The drops of liquid quickly reached his mouth, which was so slightly opened, in a hope that something would come out of it. “You’d think something was wrong. You’d try to find a solution but there’s nothing to solve.” The words didn’t even come close to what he wanted to say but there were only so many words he could form right now. He was jolted back to reality when your hands cupped his face. He closed his eyes, leaning into your delicate touch. Your coldness of your hands, a result of New York’s freezing weather, soothing to the warmth on his face, a result of his tears. “Matt, I don’t want to fix you. I just want to hold you up.” Support. It’s all you wanted to give, and it was all he needed. A breath left his lips, it sounded harsh after being held in for so long. Matt found himself doing that often, holding in breaths he didn’t even know existed until they revealed themselves. That’s why he liked being in your presence, he found that he set a lot of those breaths free in your company. Replacing them with breaths of fresh air. He let his forehead gently drop to meet yours. Tension so intimate a pin dropping could ruin it. He wasn’t sure if it was the burst of emotions or the steady pattern of your heartbeat that had coaxed the words out of him, but he knew he meant them.

“I trust you.” 

To someone as closed off as Matt the words had ten times the significance  of an ‘I love you’. The connection between your lips that you had answered with felt right. Like the final piece of a puzzle being put into place. And Matt knew whatever he chose to tell you wouldn’t make you want to change him.

constance: crazy ex-girlfriend. would y'all be surprised if i said i was projecting? it's not just because there are three bi main characters (men and women) and it depicts religious diversity (intelligent atheist, christian, and jewish characters, with their brains not defining their beliefs) although that helps. she loves it thanks to the complexity of the storylines, the willingness to show female sexuality, and of course the musical numbers. she appreciates the catchy melodies and often has a song from season 4 stuck in her head.

ocean: glee. oh come on, it's glee and she's basically rachel berry. she watches it at 17 and part of it is as she gets older it's nostalgia. she recognises it's bad eventually, sure. but santana was her lesbian awakening (i will die on this hill) and she first gets exposed to 85% of the songs through glee. her main issue with it is that it's so surface-level at times. also, her life wasn't as easy as rachel berry's.

noel: the good place (stay with me). i have a post in the drafts about noel's complex relationship with religion (specifically christianity since That's All I Know), especially once he's forced into karnak's limbo. i think he appreciates the creativity of it and it enables him to separate cultural views on heaven from his own beliefs, whatever those end up being. he also likes philosophy and considering these perspectives on what life is. plus, tahani is an awesome bitch and he is here for it.

ricky: doctor who. they just love the space travel and you just know they write a bunch of fanfic for it. they've seen every episode four times, from every series. they like how it goes to every extent possible and explores these ideas they find curious, even if there's no mention of zolar. also, they have a crush on amy pond.

penny: i think she really loves "how it's made". i don't have a massive reason for this, she just fucking vibes with the pretty colours and how GUYS THERE'S SO MANY WAYS YOU CAN USE RUBBER. FUCK YEAH. and the narrator's voice is the one thing that calms her.

mischa: heartstopper, fuck you. i will elaborate. btw this is heavy projection. so he watches it in his own time and then constance suggests that they watch it as a choir. he kinda thought he was straight-ish when he first watched it, but upon looking back he realises oh. he's bi. when he watches it with the choir, he keeps seeing how the bi experience (brought to you by nick nelson) is really close his. so, at one point while their watching it, he says ''i crush on a boy and that is not what that was like" (the boy is in the room. it's noel.) this is how he comes out. he gets really attached to it as a result, and yeah. this is a part of him actually represented. he wants to lift up his friend on the shore and scream that they're boyfriends. believe it or not, he likes the fluff. he desires that queer joy and comfort in his life. even if not all aspects of his identity are represented on the show, it's enough.

There will be a lot of explaining to do, and thinking. At the end you accepted her feelings and you like her back!! She was so happy and excited she started hopping and hugging you so tight.
