I'm still too emotional to write out proper thoughts regarding Casualty, really, but if I don't do it now I probably won't remember so:

It would have been so, so easy to make Rash's storyline a terribly handled exploitative one, but Casualty managed not to do that! This deserves to go down in Casualty history as one of the best mental health stories the show has ever done. It's harrowing and upsetting in exactly the right way.

Neet Mohan deserves an endless amount of kudos for his acting, and I also want to say how brilliant Manpreet Bachu and Sarah Seggari were as Tariq and Rida. Really, really incredible performances.

Jacob and Teddy are going to live together!! Oh, and Jan too, but whatever. I'm thrilled about this. I feel like I ought to be bothered by it after the whole fighting incident, but... Teddy would not do that, that was incredibly out of character and if Casualty wants to pretend it never happened I'll play along.

Another thing I really liked was when Jacob was worrying that Rash felt he had no other choice than to resign, and you could tell Jacob was remembering when he left nursing. That was wonderfully acted by Charles Venn.

That's Patrick gone, it seems, with his new job probably ruined for him. I can't say I feel sorry for him! He was a great villain though, Jamie Glover played him very well.

One criticism I do have is about Dylan's autism diagnosis "storyline", with quotation marks because it's hardly been a storyline at all. A few comments from Patrick, an offscreen assessment, and then he gets a letter and... that's it, presumably? I'm so confused, it could've been a really great story but it's been sidelined. What was the point of it all if not to implicitly retcon the fact that Dylan knows he's autistic and has known it since before he ever worked at Holby? I know it hasn't been outright said that he's just finding out but it's clearly been narratively played as that, in my opinion, and I don't like it.

I wonder who will be clinical lead now! Maybe we'll get another new character, IDK.

i have read *that* rash spoiler for next weeks episode and it’s going to be a horrible watch, but i have faith in neet to pull it off. i just know his acting is going to kill me, and i really hope casualty handle it with care. i also hope they put out a proper warning prior to the episode.
