I'm rewatching tsuritama to write an essay for English on it and somewhere in my notes I wrote "this is such an autism anime"

i really really like sakamoto days because like. they're assassins. that's the whole thing. they tell you that you can't get attached you can't fall in love you can't care about other people you can't be loyal because at the drop of a hat you might have to kill someone who was by your side for years. and YOU might get killed too. that's part of being an assassin. being an assassin is lonely and cold and isolating. being an assassin means being by yourself. that's how it should work and that's how it should be, and yet. and yet!! love is EVERYWHERE in sakamoto days. sakamoto has a family. he'd cared about rion and nagumo, before. amane loved his mother so much that he wanted to kill his father for it. rion would have done anything for akira. natsuki was willing to go to the orphanage so that mafuyu wouldn't have to. osaragi and shishiba are partners through and through. uzuki and his crew are family. this is a series in which being alone and lonely is vital to a person's survival (because they have too much to risk otherwise) but everyone keeps beating that idea down!! love persists and love permeates every single pore of sakamoto days and i adore it so so much

Paradox Live The Animation Episode 3 Review - The Found Family

TCW have such a calm and soothing vibe; they’re so warm and adorable too! Compared to BAE who are a group of inseparable besties and cozmez who are actual brothers, TCW feel like a little family with Saimon as the dad, Yohei as the mom, and Shiki and Ryu are their kids. It feels like a nice change in tone from the energetic vibes that the youngsters of BAE and cozmez gave off. Maybe it’s because TCW have actual working adults in the fray?

Speaking of which, BAE vs cozmez ended with the former as winners, but why did TCW vs Akan Yatsura already spoil the results after the opening sequence? That’s no fun! However, I do think that the prime focus wasn’t about their rap battle but the group as a whole and plot related stuff. The main focus of this episode is like a snippet of TCW’s daily lives with Ryu finding a cat one day and Shiki trying to recover from his trap reactions and anxieties over his mistakes on stage.

Saimon is the gentle father figure to the kids and loyal and trustworthy confidant of Yohei. He’s definitely the glue that sticks them together because he’s the one who found all of them one day, pertaining to his bad habit of picking up strays. I do find him adorable as heck with the way he gets swayed by Ryu’s puppy eyes and the Kurobuchi’s kitty eyes combination and asks Yohei if they can keep the cat. Yohei’s the caring but nagging mother hen who acts like he doesn’t care but truly does. I do wonder how these two met because they seem to be long time friends. Regardless, whoever designed these two and the kids deserve a raise because they’re all so gorgeous. Like, Paradox Live doesn’t skimp with the designs. They’re all legit 10/10’s.

Shiki is very anxious. He has very poor reactions to phantometals and his trap reactions probably are worse than Allen’s. The way he screamed in the middle of the night was really hard to watch. I do wonder what his connection is to Nayuta. Are his reactions related to Nayuta? Other than his trap reactions, Shiki as a character is a very meek individual. He’s insecure, has low self-esteem and always holds back. From what I know, all Paradox Live characters have sad backstories, so I assume the same for Shiki.

Ryu’s the biggest mystery in the group. Nothing is known about him. He has no memories nor a given age. I’m not even sure if Ryu is his actual name. Eccentricities and enigmas aside, Ryu’s biggest unique factor is his inability to have trap reactions. He can use phantometals all he wants and he won’t get withdrawals from them. While Shiki states that it’s a gift, it makes him different from the rest and that worries Ryu. It seems that Ryu’s biggest worries is being ostracized as an anomaly. There are glimpses of his memories as he seemed to have once been a lab rat and ran away. Is he related to Alter Trigger in a way? I have to say, Ryu’s my favorite of TCW despite me simping for how fine Saimon is at times. I think that his positivity is infectious and the way he described Akan Yatsura as Momotaro characters and Zen as muscles was hilarious.

Speaking of which, Akan Yatsura, from their brief screen time, also gives me big family vibes. Given how Iori and Yohei are connected, it’s like Akan Yatsura had a family outing and went to visit Yohei’s bar as a detour. I do wonder if these two groups will focus more on the darker side of this show’s story.

Also, I heard Akira Ishida as the crazy scientist in that one brief sequence change. They legit got a well-known VA like Ishida in this anime as well as Kenta Miyake as the Paradox Devil. They’re not playing around with the VAs at all. Heck, TCW’s voice cast list is pretty stacked. Saimon’s voiced by Ryota Takeuchi; Yohei’s voiced by Yuu Hayashi; Ryu’s VA is Natsuki Hanae and Shiki’s Junta Terashima. I’m familiar with all four VAs, so it feels great that they’re showing off more of their talents.

TCW’s song gives more of a jazz bar vibe and I like it a lot! It’s a lot different from the loud and fast tempo BAE and cozmez songs had. It matches their vibes a lot. Are all of their songs like this?

Anyways, this was a good episode and it makes me want to see more of this adorable family. I’m assuming next episode is focused on Akan Yatsura, and I’m excited to learn about them too! I feel like these episodes are more focused on characterization rather than singing and I’m not too sure how I feel about that. On one hand, it’s nice to learn about the characters and not get the songs overshadowing them. On the other hand, I don’t like that the rapping is always towards the end. Anyways, what are your thoughts about this episode?

WINTER WINTER...

“I jumped into the void without fear because I knew you were going to catch me.” 

One evening we find a duo composed of shin the clairvoyant and TP an assassin who had just come out of an evening organized normally they were with lu/akira and heisuke but they disappeared on the way especially the two other young women leaving the couple alone. They had clearly drunk enough alcohol to wander down the street. 

that evening it was snowing and we could see the footprints of you and shin.. 

- I have never seen the streets as lit up as this evening! you said laughing. 

Shin had an arm on your shoulder to hold on to, he had given away his big hooded jacket that he loved.. and you knew it very well since shin has repeated it every day of the week since he got it .. but he was happy to give it to you so you wouldn't get cold even if it meant hanging around in a t-shirt during this winter evening. 

You had been laughing since earlier because like Lu you seem to have bad alcohol, you laughed at everything you saw which amused Shin who seemed to be holding his alcohol level well despite his very red cheeks. 

- it's normal, it's December! Shin said 

- So you think we should look for him and maybe the others are in danger? 

 - oh don't worry akira will help them then natsuki too if he hasn't already gone home with seba junior said shin while hiccupping. 

you continue walking to the public bench where there were couples watching the snow fall and the spinning ferris wheel, shin and you walk towards a bench covered in snow. 

Shin removes the snow with his glove before helping you sit down and was very careful not to let you fall to the ground, then he sits down in turn and looks at the snow falling on the wheel. 

Shin had his eyes on the wheel where the snow was falling... his eyes were staring at the snow and it was the first time you saw him like that... 

there is a long pause where no one spoke, all the noise we heard came from passers-by, shopkeepers but this long silence ends.. 

- the last time I saw snow was when I was 5 years old... at Christmas with my parents we went to Tokyo to go to the market.. I remember... the snow falling on my coats and my mother would brush the snow off me because she hated seeing snow on my clothes....that's the only thing I remember. 

- yet there is snow every year in Tokyo so... you say 

Shin continues to watch the snow fall with his eyes while Riza looks at him he seemed melancholy at the idea of ​​telling her. 

- ".. shin I - " you start to say before being cut off by shin. 

- three weeks later I left Tokyo... and I've never experienced a Christmas like that... in truth I've never celebrated Christmas since, he said, lowering his head. 

- “I’m sorry.. my love” you said, taking his hand.. 

Shin wasn't someone who talked about personal things, even though you had been dating for a while you didn't know much about his family background other than that he lived in a small lab.. 

the fact that shin talks to you about him touches you because you know that it's something difficult to talk about, you wrap your hand in his, it was warm because of the gloves..

- oh... you know what we should do! you ask 

- tell me... he said with a depressed tone

with your hand you pull him to get up from the bench and you start to dance with the street music joining his other hand to make a waltz, shin was very embarrassed seeing his red cheeks but he lets you do it and start this waltz .. 

he ends up looking and blushing even more when he sees your big smile that he loved so much and ends up speaking

- “you have a beautiful smile” he said 

- “I know my cute girlfriend often tells me that” you said mockingly 

- "In my opinion it's because you are a golden woman" he said, stuttering on the last word. 

shin also had "difficulty" making statements, the way he blushed reminded you of when he asked you out all during a romantic dinner at home well.. at the store one afternoon or no one from the family was there, shin had prepared the whole meal to show you his culinary skills! 

This is partly why you love Shin (for the way he acts with you but also for his delicious meals) 

Besides since then he often offers you cookies when you go out. 

- one day I was told that a woman had thrown herself from a building.. after an argument with her boyfriend and he had barely started to fall when he caught her without worrying to die because he didn't want to lose her, he begins. 

- I know this story... it's very beautiful you say. 

- “How?” he asks 

- “defense secret but continue” you say 

- “this person knew at that moment that this was the woman of his life... and he decided to leave the profession for her.." he said 

- “It’s super romantic” you say

- "yes and I think I'm starting to understand what the person was saying" he said 

- “that is to say” you ask 

How does he know this story perhaps because of his idol who experienced this situation, he saw him in a distant memory, Taro Sakamoto throwing himself into the void for his future wife. he looks at you with a completely cute look that would make anyone fall in love.. you kiss him on the cheeks before he starts throwing a bag in the trash can right next to it.  

- let's go to my house, it's starting to get cold. he said 

- I'm sorry because of me you might be sick, let's go back you say 

- “It’s okay, I’m not going to die tonight,” he said, putting on his gloves.

- “we’re not back yet” you said ironically. 

- “you are right but I remain cautious” he said 

You join your hands then quickly start to leave home, arriving home shin received a message from Akira saying that she had returned home with the group. Later you found yourself in bed cuddled together with a blanket watching a Christmas movie that you wanted to see following a recommendation from Akira. 

you enjoy it as long as the sakamoto family wasn't there.. 

Looking at you he then understood the love that sakamoto had for his wife was now what he felt for you.. the kind of love where you can do anything for her.., he had found the love of his life and it was you... even if you didn't understand right away 

- “Akira has really good taste in films” you said 

- “yes, it’s probably because of his movie outings with Lu..” he said, putting his phone on the bedside table. 

you turn your head to see shin looking at you 

- "A problem? I have a spot on my face" you ask

- “no, you’re perfect” he said before kissing you 

you laugh then you kiss him back... and you leave the film behind to continue their activities..

I’m probably use this blog for writing, talking about said fandoms, obsessively thinking about my ocs for each said fandom, and making very politically(/j) incorrect analysis about characters. And, more! I’m sorry this is so long, really just ask me abt anything and it’ll eventually happen.

Last thing: I might post about my own stories that are… painfully unfinished, so here’s a brief intro about each (they’re all heavily inspired by my respective fandoms, we don’t talk abt that):

*Insert Dramatic Title* (IDT): A robot by the name of Edis is asked to save humanity from a prophecy stating that, from five years from now, the world will end.

Slaughterhouse (SH): A pair of twins live in a “Haven Town” where there outside world was shrouded into an apocalypse. They learn how to truly survive in such a restrictive environment and find out the subtle corruption of their system.

‘Vest of the ‘Usual (VOU): A young boy has unusual abilities that leads him to work in the government, which depicts him having to do the unthinkable: go to school. And, do his job, that too.

Act I (A1): Olesia Lexina has had one dream all her life: protect humanity from the evil that is godlyhood! This follows her journey through the ideal of becoming on of the top members of the “Guardians of Humanity”.

Project: New World (P:NW): The government has allowed a project and organization by the name of “New World” to attempt to “purify humanity of all of its wrongdoings” and it has taken the world by storm; unfortunately, Chara has absolutely no interest in any of it.

The Eight Tragedies (T8T): An Angel has come to earth to ultimately destroy everyone on it, in which a humanities major named Reminiscence gives the world (her two friends) a chance to fix their problems before it can do so—by going into the past eight times to fix mistakes that should’ve never happened.

Majic Girl: BOOM ★ (MG:★): this one is something I’ve been meaning to get motivation to work on properly. A young freshman girl watches her whole world turn upside down (close to literally) to as some sort of eldritch horror resurfaces the earth! And she is one of the few people making the attempt to kill it.

$1 Supermarket ($1): The economy as we know it had crashed after inflation has risen way too high to the point even the upper class finds it hard to buy anything. Thus, a brand new chain store by the name of $1 Supermarket has arisen! Where everything is exactly $1! And there’s like, a bunch of monsters everywhere, but that’s besides the point.

I personally DO NOT see the Protags as self inserts. I think they all have their own personalities. So I don’t really have any self insert ships were I ship them just because I want to date a character, but I do understand some people have those.

Akira and Goro are a massive call back to Tatsuya and Jun from Persona 2, and Tatsuya and Jun are written with the intent to be romantic. Though I think after the third semester I usually don’t have to explain why I feel like Akira and Goro is an obvious Ship, it’s one of those you can totally have a different preference but you understand what I'm getting at right?

I reeeally hope I don’t have to explain that Futaba and Akira are in sibling dynamic so Shipping them would be gross.

Kasumi’s infatuation with Akira makes ZERO SENSE. The only people who see through your delinquent deguise is Goro (because soulmates narrative foil) and Ryuji (who doesn’t see through he’s just a good boy who trusts everyone), so Kasumi seeing through it makes NO SENSE. If she were to follow anyone around saying “Senpei” I think it would be Makoto.

Rise’s feral one sided thirsty crush on Souji is very funny to me (and I love playing it for comedy) but I don’t think he would ever reciprocate it. Her love just feels a bit too superficial, and Souji has too many issues of not being seen for himself for me to like it as a Ship.

I do think Yukari had a crush on Minato and I think Minato would be willing to try dating her, but I feel their love languages would be too different and it would end in disaster. Minato seems like the little actions and subtle comfort where Yukari seems like she would want big romantic gestures (something Mitsuru would do for her).

I will say with all Persona Romance Routes I am very much not a Fan of the Pandering that is “Girl likes you for no real reason” (it’s honestly just a boring Romance to me) and would’ve liked if more of the Girls just weren’t Romanceable so we could just have more Male/Female Friendships. I feel (aside from the stand out VERY BAD ones) a lot of the Romance Routes aren’t that bad, just don’t mesh well with the Tone and Tension of the rest of the Game (they’re kind Mundane and Boring in comparison to the Relationships I ACTUALLY Ship). But my Opinion on Persona Romance Routes as a whole would be a completely different discussion than Ships.

It’s necessary to say this so I don’t get Canceled; Hamuko and Minato are Canonically Two Halves of the Same Soul, some people choose to see that as Siblings and some people choose to see that as Soulmates. I used to prefer Siblings but now I prefer Soulmates. Either is fine but don’t mix em is all.

When I say Kasumi I usually actually mean Sumire. Sorry it’s partly cause it’s a Spoiler and partly cause I never got in the Habit of calling her by her Real Name. So unless Specific Context assume when I say Kasumi I mean Sumire. I just don’t feel like going back and changing it everywhere I’ve said it.

I ended up reading a lot of cool series this year that I've had my eye on for a while. As you can see, I read many titles by CLAMP this year, and I have another post on one of their series coming up too. Also, really sorry to hear about the passing of the author of Hana-Kimi, that series was a nice bright spot for me earlier this year so this really saddened me.

I may make another post about shoujo/josei series I plan on reading in 2024 to come back at the end of next year and see if I read them. But I also wanted to thank the people who read and supported my posts since I made this account in the spring. I kinda did it on a whim but I've had fun making posts and it's actually been nice to have my thoughts put together somewhere I can come back to and look over. Tokyo Aliens spoiler/theories about chapters 47

What I can understand

Evil alien is creeping out Akira, remember the "dream" that happened. He is thinking about Akira's father and making supposition about/explaining the power that Akira show in the dream. Akira is still unconscious. He gets an idea and touches Akira's hair.

Then the scene change to Amamiya fighting the alien on the roof of the building. It tried to escape on the side of the building but Amamiya makes an attack that create a cut over all the building (of at least 10 floors). The police rejoice. Amamiya, alone on the roof, spits blood and comment about it.

Then the scene is Shou fighting the aliens, and he has to use all of his powers to kill them. But he is seriously injuried/too tired and need a moment to rest.

Meanwhile the other police member are also exploring the hidden area, guided by Christina, and end up reaching a room similar to the one where Akira was held at the beginning. In there there is a young person sleeping. They cry in their sleep and call for someone.

A man is seen trying to remove files from a computer but the screen changes to "ERROR GO TO HELL <3" and  Natsuki appear behind him. The guy surrenders and the police comment on something.

Then we move to Shou that enters the room where he finds Akira sleeping and notice the signs of the experiments. He falls behind the bed Akira is on, calling his name.

Appearance and Personality

Appearance: Brendon has rather a tall and a muscular male bodybuild, though it looks rather slender and looks average for a male bodybuild at first. He has long soft snow grey colored hair which ties to an up and down ponytail style on a daily basis throughout his routine. Just like most of his inner beast companions, he too is also born with heterochromia. Pastel Blue colored on his left eye left while light teal blue colored in his right eye as his beast eye. Brendon is mostly calm with his manners though he seems to display a serious gaze.

Personality: Born as the eldest son in his family's lineage within the 4th level district of Revoltion City alongside with Clementine and Hotaru, apparently he would call his childhood rather colourless and full aside from his assassination training from his duties as a heir, apparently he's used to be emotionless and silent within his childhood lifestyle.

But after meeting Chloris back in the past during his those days thanks to his parents and grandfather of letting him having a normal life as a child, he then learns that things weren't so bad as he thought they would be. Alongside that he now has younger siblings to watch over, and in addition of meeting Clementine and her group. Brendon then slowly develop his emotions after the time passes.

Brendon is mostly mature within to the current timeline, though he isn't much talkative towards anyone outside of his circle but mainly he looks a bit cold from a different perspective but it shows that he's only like this is he's being normal and not having an attitude at anyone regardless.

Though he's just calm and collective but rather tends to be silent in his mood, seems to have regular common sense of mind but more in a neutral manner to keep this casual, with his usual group buddies such as Chloris however he's still the same but much more in emotion than being dull. Though he gets annoyed easily from anyone that is, such as from Clementine or Hiromi specifically, but much more from Clementine who often pushes his buttons a lot.

Beware not mess with him too much, because Brendon is the ice that cannot be thawed. Mainly he can control his anger but the look on his face alongside with his aura can explain much a lot that he's in an anger mood, whether it can be good or not but that's has to be avoided. He has dealt with many but wouldn't hesitate to warn some to avoid any necessary messes to be needed.

As one of the heirs within the inner beastial ranks, apparently he's still fun to be with if Clementine doesn't crack his nerves.

Today was a day for the hospital. I went to there and met my job coach. With my doctor, we talk about myself a lot. The doctor said an advice to me as "Anxiety affects as your insomnia so you should get fid of it from your workplace basically". The job coach taught to him about me a lot, and I thought that I should trust her fully. After that meeting, the job coach said to me that she had joined in the Facebook group a friend of me had as an admin. "We will meet the people we should meet", she said so, and I thought that I have to think thankful for the meetings with my job coach, and also various activities with a lot of friends. I am powerless so can do nothing alone. Connecting with others would give me a power, various lessons, and a certain self-confidence. Yes, I am basically a happy person.

At a LINE group which talks about philosophy a lot like a cafe, we talk about my autistic character a lot. An user said that "autism is a kind of gift", and it let me think a lot. I don't treat the words "gift" or "talent" a lot. Indeed, there are exactly some people who have great "talent", but we shouldn't judge people as that "the gifted skill of them". Even though they don't have any great skill, even though they are just ordinary citizens, they must be precious people who are to be respected. This feeling might come from the belief that I think myself as a ordinary citizen. Not thinking ourselves as great ones because of any great talent (for example, there must be a lot of people who speak English as well as I), but just accepting ourselves as their natural size. That is important.

After taking a nap, I couldn't feel comfortable in my room so tried to visit AEON and change my mood. I read Natsuki Ikezawa's "Nautical Chart and Logbook" again. Accidentally, because of the discussion in this book, I thought of a primal question. "Why do I read books?". To this, all I can answer is just "it is a habit since my childhood". Or "because there are various books in this world already"... I never think reading is a sublime activity. It is as well as learning English or watching movies as a way of spending time or learning. Not from the reason why reading is great, but the reason why I "naturally" read them... It might be the same as the reason why I live. Not thinking my life is meaningful, but living automatically as my body wants. Or, naturally I live... and that is precious primarily.

In the night, I joined another philosophical cafe group in LINE openchat. At there, an user recommended a video which Akira Asada, a Japanese philosopher analyzed Ryuichi Sakamoto's works. I enjoyed it, and was really impressed how sharp Asada could analyze the difficult works by Sakamoto. This can be done because Asada knows both classical music and pop music well. But I had a different opinion from him because Asada had said as "now the scene must be devastating". Although my knowledge about music must not be rich as Asada's, I think of some Japanese great musicians as Keigo Oyamada and Yoshihide Ohtomo. Their works can have a value to be global. We also have to think about how "city pop" has been praised from all over the world. Indeed, some of "J-POP" might be not opened to the world, therefore they satisfied with themselves as crap. But there are certainly those kinds of phenomenon I wrote above. It is too early to lose any hope I believe.
