National Shoe The World Day
We celebrate National Shoe The World Day every year on March 15. The day sheds light on the importance of footwear and the need for quality footwear for millions of people worldwide who can’t afford or don’t have access to it. Did you know that nearly one billion people on Earth don’t have shoes, or their footwear is inadequate? Despite difficult terrains and climates, these people walk barefoot or with poor-quality footwear. The good news is that we can all do something about it by donating, sponsoring, or gifting shoes to those who don’t have them.
History of National Shoe The World Day
Food, shelter, and clothes are the basic needs of every human in this world. However, one such necessity that millions of people worldwide struggle to get is good quality footwear. From walking barefoot on hard, warm surfaces to walking in slippery, muddy jungles, many people don’t have access to footwear.
Walking without protection or barefoot can even lead to a lifetime of problems, including pain, injury, cuts, sores, infections, parasites, e.t.c. Moreover, apart from the health issues, people can get banned from schools and other business places for not wearing them, and this issue is exactly what National Shoe The World Day addresses. We might be blessed to have several pairs of shoes in our closets, but few are lucky enough to have one pair of shoes even though they are much too big for them.
National Shoe The World Day was created by the United Indigenous People in Fontana, California, inspired by Donald Zsemonadi in March 2014. Since then, people worldwide have participated in this event and helped ‘shoe’ those struggling without good quality or no footwear. For some of us, shoes might not be such a big thing to talk about and celebrate, but good shoes are still a dream for some in underdeveloped communities. So, let’s raise awareness about the importance of good shoes and act to help those in need.

Alredered Celebrates National Shoe The World Day to-day.
#NationalShoeTheWorldDay
Each day, over 500 million children, teens, and adults do not have a pair of shoes to wear. Despite the terrain and the climate, they walk barefoot everywhere. Their daily struggle is one we cannot begin to imagine. Living daily without protection on your feet can lead to a lifetime of problems including pain, injury, cuts, sores, infections, parasites. Schools and businesses ban students and customers without shoes. We attach stigmas to people who do not have proper footwear, too. Life without footwear also affects their health, education, and financial well-being. One issue leads to another, creating a never-ending cycle.

Today is #nationalshoetheworldday and I have been grateful to have shoes on my feet. However, there are many who have little to no sources or supplies to have what they need. About 500 million children, teens and adults all around the world are walking barefoot in their daily life as we speak. Not only does this make it difficult to get through rough terrain but it can also cause cuts and sores eventually leading to infections and diseases. Today I made a donation to @soles4souls who has donated over 35 million pairs of shoes across 127 countries. Just one dollar will provide a pair of shoes to someone who needs it more than you know. Lets help wear out poverty. —————————————— #mensfashion #men #menfashion #mensstyle #mens #menswear #mensweardaily #menstyle #mensfashionpost #menslook #menwithclass #mensfashionreview #styleformen #orlandofashionblogger #orlbloggers #orlandoblogger #orlandofashion #otownbloggersquad #soles4souls #shoes #endpoverty #give #grateful #sneakers #soles (at Orlando, Florida) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvB6259nRkF/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=m8sv4fwsmjef

National Shoe The World Day
National Shoe The World Day is observed annually on March 15th.
Each day over 500 million children, teens and adults around the world do not have a pair of shoes to wear, and despite the terrain and the climate, they have to walk barefoot everywhere. It is a struggle each day that we cannot begin to imagine. Having to live a daily life without protection on your feet can lead to a lifetime of problems including pain, injury, cuts, sores, infections, parasites, banning from schools and other places and the list goes on.
It is sad to say that we will call this lucky, but there are a few that are fortunate enough to have one pair of shoes even though they are much too big for them. This way, their shoes will last for many years, as they grow, and they are only allowed to be worn for very special occasions. In other cases, they may have one pair of shoes that are too small and tight for them (they will make them work) but to have a pair at all is a luxury.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Visit Soles4Souls to donate shoes. National Shoe The World Day is a day created to bring awareness, to everyone across the nation, of the incredible need to help those people around the world that do not have shoes to wear and then to take action in helping.
