Credits to Blueberry Scans(previously lemonade scans) for this Scan and translations of KWSBW chapter 1!
For the upcoming final chapter of KWSBW in 3 days. Here is the splash page of KWSBW ch. 1. I remember back then I was just searching for a manga to read when the chapter 1 of the KWSBW appeared at the top of new updates of the manga site. I immediately clicked the thumbnail cause I thought the artwork was good(Eiji is the one on the thumbnail).
Looking at the splash page back then, I guessed who the ships were and I came out with EijixKoharu and BesshoxIkezawa (Sorry Taichi!). Before reading the chapter 1, I paired Eiji and Koharu cause they kinda look good together, A girl who is smiling sadly and a boy who kinda had problems but he smiles optimistically and I’m a sucker for redhead MCand pigtailed girl FMC. As for Ikezawa and Bessho, well Ikezawa really gives off the strong woman vibes and Bessho gives out the mature vibes which I think they will fit together.
After reading the first chapter, I admit I was disappointed that at the end it was EijixIkezawa and BesshoxKoharu. In shojo formula, whoever the girl that the MC interacted and made her blush will be the main love interest. But despite of it, it was executed good and left me wanting more so yeah I figured that Ikezawa aint bad for Eiji. But it's just the start of the story! I don’t want to give up hope on my ships! Stuffs like Eiji and Koharu haven't met yet, I want to see them interact and still hoping that Bessho and Ikezawa will interact more. So yeah I stuck on this manga until Eiji and Koharu or Bessho and Ikezawa interacted more.
Then chapter 6 came which the story took an interesting route with Koharu and Eiji. That really got me hooked more in this.
Koi Wo Shiranai Bokutachi Wa will have its last chapter on the 13th. Let give Mizuno-sensei our best support for this manga’s upcoming finale. As for me I already filed a vacation leave for that day lol
For KoiBoku Fans. Who were your ships back then when you saw this splash page of chapter 1?

‘s…manga recommendation: koi wo shiranai bokutachi wa
Other Names: We Don’t Know Love Yet
Author: Mizuno Minami
Genres: Romance, School Life, Shoujo, Slice of Life
Chapters: 41
Status: Ongoing
Summary: High school is a time to find oneself, a period of uncertainty and growth. For most, it's a time to experience love for the first time. For six certain high school students, love is a mystery that threatens to bring them together yet tear them apart at the same time. Realistic yet outwardly playful Eiji Aihara is close friends with the serious Naohiko Bessho, who is in a long-distance relationship with Izumi Shiosaki, Eiji's childhood friend. Eiji's daily activities put him in contact with Mizuho Ikezawa and Taichi Senami, who has a crush on Ikezawa. Meanwhile, Koharu Fujimura is a girl experiencing her first relationship, yet she is unsure whether this is truly love. After an encounter with Naohiko, her eyes begin to open. Inexperienced and innocent, the lives of these six students begin to intertwine as they come to terms with themselves and grow to discover the true meaning of "love."
Review: This is one of my favorites because the story is for sweet and there is drama between the group of friends. I really love reading stories with a group of friends because you get to see more than one couple. The art is also really beautiful and satisfying to the eye.

Koi wo Shiranai Bokutachi wa
I wasn't a fan of Koharu. I hated her when she tried to steal Naohiko from Izumi but I quite understand where she's coming from.
Eiji was a weak character for me. He's frivolous and loyal for wrong reasons. He couldn't move on because he wasn't willing to open his heart for a long time.
Then they happened.
At first, it was just a pretend relationship but can they still play pretend when the game rules have become confusing for both of them?

9. Their classes (3)
[Senami Taichi, Ikezawa Mizuho, Besho Naohiko]
"Oh hi, Bessho," Taichi said, "you're also in this class?"
"Yes, I...," Nao didn't say anything for a while then he said, "wait, I'm sorry... I didn't see you, Ikezawa. I just realized both of you were talking. So, excuse me, I will go back to my seat."
Taichi saw Nao back to his seat then talking with Izumi. "That couple are classmates too here!?" He said disbelief to himself. How unfortunate that he wasn't in Ikezawa's class.
"Thank you for your help," Ikezawa said with her beautiful smile. Taichi's heart was blooming because of that.
"Nah, I always wanna help you whenever you need my help," he responded happily, "then I will lea…"
"Wait, you asked me before about interesting books for you, didn't you?" Ikezawa asked and gave him a very light novel, "I recommend it for you. So if you have read it, can you give me an impression about that book?"
"I WILL!" He said surely and happily, "and after that, please recommend other books to me, Ikezawa." Ikezawa just nodded and smiled at him warmly. Ok, her plan has been accomplished. So, there's a reason for him to see her whenever he finishes it.

HI! Thank you very much for everything you do! I really like Koi wo Shiranai Bokutachi wa, so I just wanted to share my thoughts. I personally wouldn'l like Eiji and Ikezawa as a couple, and I hope the story doesn't follow that route. Because honestly, I, too, was moved by Taichi's love for her and it'd be refreshing to see if and how he can win her heart. But most of all, Eiji is an awesome main character with a different way of thinking and I like his reasoning. I think he was really hurt...
…in the past (probably by Naohiko and Izumi getting together?), and I can’t imagine him doing the same to his friend. Besides, to make him change his “negative” view on love, it should be someone who can shake his feelings deeply… I want one of those great, powerful loves for him, something he can’t go against… Sigh, I might be about the only one who doesn’t ship those two xD Well, it’s probably too soon to say anything, and this is just my opinion anyway. Can’t wait to see how things will go!
It’s alright to not ship them together. I totally understand what you mean.
The manga is really complicated (I mean the relationships) at this point, that it’s difficult to even ship!
And to tell you the truth, I wasn’t moved by Taichi’s feeling for Ikezawa, at all. for me that’s more likely admiration than love. At least, at this point.
And about Eiji. To tell you the truth, I think he should be with someone who can show him a different kind of love than the one he knew. He had deep feelings for Izumi, only to be hurt by her getting together with is best friend. And he might still have feelings for her, actually. How he’s going to deal with that and fall in love again is a delevepment that I really want to see!
I want to share this manga with you guys, so much!! The newest chapters are a mess! I mean many things are happenning and things are kind of moving fast xD

Koi wo Shiranai Bokutachi wa Aihara Eiji/Bessho Naohiko
Word Count: 869
Read on ao3.
notes: this is an AU where Izumi never returned so she and Nao never met because I wanted to write bf fluff instead of unrequited angst
-
“Hey, Nao?”
“Yeah?”
Their voices echoed in the quiet of their empty classroom. The school day was over and everyone had left except for Naohiko, who had been caught in an errand for their teacher, and Eiji, who disappeared somewhere once the final bell rang—
“I think I got a black eye.”
—and apparently got caught in a fight before returning to the classroom.
Naohiko had to pause at that. He turned his attention away from his school bag that he was packing up and towards his friend. His friend with a very bruised face. His friend with a very bruised face, leaning against their classroom door nonchalantly like it was nothing.
He visibly cringed at the sight—that had to hurt.
Naohiko crossed the classroom and stopped in front of his friend, asking, “What happened?”
Eiji flashed him a lopsided grin in return, something sardonic. “Remember that girl with the curly blonde hair in 2-C?”
Naohiko blinked. “The one you’ve been flirting with for a couple of months now?”
“Mm, yeah. She wanted to talk with me after class, in the courtyard. Ended up confessing to me and I turned her down.”
“So she punched you for it.”
“Nah, that was courtesy of her friend. Said I led her on,” he muttered, gaze turned downwards.
“Okay, yeah. Backtrack. I thought you did like her, but you still rejected her?” Naohiko folded his arms across his chest, his brow raised. “Can’t say I blame her friend for socking you in the face.”
“Hey, I never said I wasn’t at fault here,” Eiji retorted, as though he was making a valid point with that. “I just didn’t think her friend would hit this hard. And, y’know, I didn’t actually like her. She was always the one calling out to me—I was just trying to be nice back.”
And it was true. Someone else had his heart—and had it for years. Even if they didn’t know. Even if they were all the way across the country, living their life without ever giving him a passing thought. Not anymore.
Belatedly, he added, “I’m not the same as I was back in middle school, Nao.”
This caused him to snort. “It’s hard to tell sometimes.”
“That’d hurt if not for the fact that this black eye actually, physically hurts,” Eiji huffed with a roll of his eyes.
Naohiko’s posture relaxed in response and he reached forward, his hand brushing against Eiji’s face. His thumb grazed over his marred skin, gentle. Eiji winced.
Eiji winced, and tried not to reel back at how close Naohiko was now.
“You okay?” Naohiko asked, quiet, concern laced in his voice.
Eiji felt himself stutter, “I’ve—been better.”
He was close, still, and his hand was warm.
Naohiko sighed. “Of course you have. It hurts me to see you like this too, you know?”
His mouth felt dry and he wasn’t sure what to say. Eventually he opted with a, “Thanks, Nao. You’re good—a good friend.”
Naohiko let out an exasperated sigh. “And you don’t make it easy being your friend.”
“Hey, you haven’t given me a black eye yet at least, so I consider that a win.”
“Yet,” Naohiko echoed.
“Yet,” Eiji repeated.
At that, Naohiko pulled back and suddenly, Eiji missed his touch. Missed the warmth of his skin against his own, the delicate way he held his face, even how the calluses on his fingertips felt.
Eiji knew he sought out Naohiko first for a reason. He could have gone anywhere else after his injury: could have gone home, could have gone to the infirmary, could have nursed it on his own.
Instead, he went to Naohiko. Because Naohiko was always there for him without fail, there for him in a way that Izumi never was despite how much he wanted her to be. Because, even though there would always be a place in his heart carved out for Izumi, there would always be a place for Naohiko by his side too.
And, he wanted there to be a place for him.
So he leaned forward and brought his lips to Naohiko’s.
Oh, shit.
He was still delirious from that punch in the face, wasn’t he?
Before Eiji could pull away, he felt a hand grip his wrist, stopping him. Felt Naohiko’s mouth move against his own.
Oh.
His heart thrummed against his chest as he slid his tongue along Naohiko’s lips until he eventually opened his mouth, allowing his tongue in. He tasted of something earthy yet citrusy, and Eiji found himself wishing he did this much, much earlier. Eiji deepened the kiss, trying to taste more, trying to taste all of him. Naohiko eagerly reciprocated, seemingly trying to do the same.
Finally, they broke apart. Naohiko watched him quietly, eyes lidded and gaze darkened. For a moment, neither of them said anything. Just breathed, hot against each other’s necks, until Eiji felt his pulse slow back down to normal.
“Hey, Nao?” He closed his eyes, ignoring the pain that still lingered.
“Yeah?”
“Think I’ll get another black eye if I kissed you again?” he breathed.
He couldn’t stop himself from grinning as Naohiko pressed his lips against his once more.

a/n:
remember reading ch0 of koishiranai and thinking it was actually a bl?
yeah, that.
I could’ve been writing Ikezawa and Eiji kissing, instead I chose to write Nao and Eiji kissing and I do not regret it. they are also neat together.
#fanfic#koi wo shiranai bokutachi wa#we don't know love yet#word vomit#i wrote this really quickly it's probably not that good#impulsive kissing is Eijicore though#also i never write kiss scenes idk how to do this lol

Koi Wo Shiranai Bokutachi Wa 43(final chapter)
Beautiful... Just Beautiful 😊
Not gonna lie. Ikezawa and Taichi scenes were easily overshadowed by Eiji and Koharu scenes at the end. Still there were good moments like when:
-Ikezawa and Eiji reflect on her decisions last chapter and made her cry because of her pride. At the end of it It is Koharu made her realize that there's nothing wrong at her decision. It just needs to have a good time management so that she can go with senpai and the concert at the same time. Koharu even lended Eiji to Ikezawa so that it will not be a date with the senpai
- The talk between Ikezawa and Taichi before the concert. This is where the chemistry between them starts oozing. Taichi ask Ikezawa that in the middle of the concert he will confess to her and he asks her to reply. Ikezawa said that she will indeed reply. How she answered this was savage 😁 Unfortunately the confession was off screen but because it's off screen that it led to Aihara's beautiful words to Koharu later on.
- Too bad Koharu missed the concert but thats ok. Her screen time alone is always a pleasure to read.
- But Eiji is there waiting for her and both of them express how much they want to see each other. They have their own ways to show how they missed each other like Koharu hugged Eiji and Eijj felt out of place on the concert cause Taichi confessed to Ikezawa which Izumi thought that it was a beautiful confession and started crying which she was comforted by Bessho. Since Eiji feel out of place he suddenly miss Koharu and went to wait for her part time job to finish. Very sweet thing to do Eiji! 😊
-Another thing to catch is Taichi and Koharu’s mess are resolved, no hanging plots and for that Eiji is happy with it. No one ended up like his past self. 😊
At the end with Eiji and Koharu:
Eiji beautifully threaded all his words until the end. Especially his smile when he is asking if the ring became heavy! That smile shows like Koharu is the best thing in the world! Koharu would definitely cry! Her Monologue at the end also kinda stings with her getting emotional. She is definitely happy that she fell in love with Eiji and initiated that kiss. As she said 'Happiness'... That made my heart melt. Mizuno-sensei made it like they married and she really drop the bomb on the final part cause it was done excellent!
I actually reread this part with background music named Light Flight by FujiFabric and this final part became more memorable and awesome 😁
Ah shit. I'm getting emotional also cause this is the last time! I felt its unfair that it suddenly ended just like Beelzebub back then yet again sensei gave her best this last chapter and she ended it on high note. Yeah, maybe there will be extra chapters but I'm gonna miss those 12th or 13th nights of the months where I always anticipate the new chapter and I take a vacation leave for this every month. Also because of this manga that I learned how to read japanese. Well not really 100% but enough to read out katakanas and hiraganas with the help of google translator...lol
Thank you Mizuno-sensei for bringing us a well crafted romance manga. This work of yours deserves a space on my shelf and I will definitely buy those volumes i havent had yet. Hoping for some extra chapters of Koiboku so I can post more Koiboku content in future. To Koiboku fans, I'm glad that I'm able to join you on this journey, its been good while it lasted. Don't be sad because it had ended but smile and let us be grateful that we're able to experience and read this kind of manga. All thanks to Mizuno-sensei 😁
P.S
Maybe there will be more of chapter 43 on volume 11? I want more Eiji and Koharu 😁

Nijiiro Days Gets Side-story in July
The April issue of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine revealed on March 13 that Minami Mizuno will launch a side-story manga for her manga Nijiiro Days in the magazine's August issue on July 13. The new manga will be on an irregular serialization schedule. The main manga, Nijiiro Days, published its final chapter on March 13.
Mizuno also published a one-shot manga titled "Koi o Shiranai Boku-tachi wa" (We Who Know Nothing Of Love), which will tie into a new series that Mizuno will launch in the July issue of Bessatsu Margaret on June 13. This one-shot centers on middle school student Naohiko and his soft-hearted friend Eiji. The story begins when Izumi, a girl Eiji knew from elementary school, transfers to their middle school. The full series will follow Naohiko and the others when they are in high school. (Note: Character name romanizations not official.)

Hope its not a love triangle theme, since I hate it tbh

6. Hang out together (3)
[Aihara Eiji, Fujimura Koharu, Shiosaki Izumi, Besho Naohiko]
Somehow Eiji and Koharu quarreled again in the middle of dating. Eiji said, "You always like that! You don't want to hear me!"
"Ha! It's your fault because you can't understand me and what I want!" Koharu argued.
"You are selfish!" Eiji said angrily, "give attention to my feelings too!"
"What are you saying?? What I choose purely for your sake! Couldn't you see how I held myself back because of you!?" Koharu protested.
Eiji added, "True! It's just your mind! You always like that! Remember that time you always said Ikezawa this & Ikezawa that! You pushed me to get closer to her! You didn't know how I felt that time!"
"Think about yourself! You did the same, didn't you?? You said I should ask Shimatani or Mamiya to pretend to date me!" Koharu argued.
"Just pretend! How could those be the same!? Those are totally different!"
"How could those be different!?"
Meanwhile Izumi and Nao just see without intention to interrupt their argument. Izumi whispered, "See? They are fighting again."
Nao responded, "Nah. I just see they're only flirting with each other."
Izumi agreed, "True. We used to see them like that."
Then Izumi & Nao have the same thought, "How compatible they are."
