I just know that Nancy made Jonathan watch Flashdance, Footloose and Dirty Dancing. And that Jonathan can barely tell the three apart

Some more thoughts Based on this post where you have your soulmates signature and Steve is a bat by @strangersatellites
I'm putting them in a new post so I don't derail it. I hope to I see several take on the initial concept. It's so fun.
Nancy and Jonathan he knows from back home they moved out here before him and have jobs at the paper. Are they are romantically involved or just friends now šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø either way they work well together.
And they help Steve in his search. Jonathan knows where most of the murals in the city are and Nancy gives him some tips on getting people to give him information and a list of questions to help him along.
Benny has a deli across from one of them. He won't give up much, things good for business draws a crowd and if Eddie just happens to a regular who always tips good well why would he sell him out. Still he does offer Steve a sandwich and a list of a few murals that are lesser known in the city.
Heather works in the shop across from on and is annoyed in the uptick of customers. They're cutting into her down time. She didn't see anything anyway and she tells Steve he's wasting his time. The Bat is a ghost no one ever seen him. Or so she says.
Steve still has to work so there are days when he makes no progress, gets nowhere on finding his soul mate. Spends sleepless night tracing the bat on his hip and looking at the picture Jonathan gave him hoping somewhere in the is a clue.
So on and so forth skipping ahead.
Then the Robin thing I initially brought up
I can see a Steve running around the city type of thing happening because of this. Heā€™s turning into a real detective, asking about all the murals, folks who live in the area. Steve meeting other characters from Stranger Things as he moves closer to his goal of finding his soulmate. Heā€™s checked every single one he knows of is commiserating at the bar by the latest one. Robin is a bartender, mostly waving off his search until he waxes on about his soulmate and how talented they are. Steve isnā€™t the usual sort looking for Eddie so she slips him the address for another bar, one that play live music, has art all over, tells him to check it out. CC is of course play in front of the biggest mural Steveā€™s seen from his soul mate yet.
Steve wants to memorize every aspect of the mural, wants to take in every detail but it's hard with a band playing right in front of it. Harder still when his eyes catch on the lead singer and can look away. Mesmerized for an entire set.
He doesn't even realize he's just been sitting there watching until the band leaves for a break. Then he's turning to the bartender, an older man in flannel, asking about the mural. Wayne chuckles, "you'll have to ask the owner about that but he doesn't usually talk about it."
Steve's a little tipsy form earlier as he accepts the beer Wayne slides to him like a condolence. Sulky over one more obstacle standing between him and his person. "Could you ask him anyhow, please?" Wayne looks him over takes in his downtrodden face and the begging tone of his voice before giving a nod.
Steveā€™s not very hopeful by the time Wayne slides another beer to him either a shrug. He stays for the band and hopes that maybe if he's persistent he'll get the information. Nancy always insists sleuthing takes persistence.
He's mesmerized all over again and feels like dark eyes are boring into him, like this one's just for him. Which is silly, he's drunk and he's never heard this band, much less met the man singing. No way would he be singling him out, just a trick of the lights and the third beer he ordered.
When the singer climbs down from the stage he trips over a light playing it off as a bow. But what stands out to Steve is dark eyes still hooked on him as Eddie dances through the crowd signing autographs and giving hugs.
Steve turns away, it's a lot, too much and he's still ninety percent sure he's imagining it. All up until there's a sweaty musician's chest brushing against his arm as Eddie leans on the bar next to him, "so I hear you've been asking about our favorite artist."
I dunno I'm sorely tempted to write it write it but I've got so many wips already so I jsut wanted to get out some thought because I found the concept so inspired.

Somebody Loves You, You Got a Friend (part 7)
Other parts: one, two, three, four, five, six
Weā€™re back again! The start takes place immediately after the last part & more time jumping lol. I guess trigger warning for breast feeding? Tho itā€™s not that detailed really šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø better to be safe āœŒļø (quick reminder: this is a slice of life, nearly no plot type of fic)
Any sort of tension he got was wiped away simply by pulling into the driveway. As he opens the front door heā€™s met with Eleanor crying, following the sound he finds Steve making a beeline for Eleanor.
ā€œYou good?ā€ He steps closer to the omega, ā€œEllie good?ā€
Steve whips his head around and grins before pulling Eleanor up to him, ā€œjust a little tired. Sheā€™s just upset I had to use the bathroomā€
He laughs, ā€œyou eat today?ā€
Steve turns red in a second and thatā€™s all Eddie needs to know. He pulls the omega close and leads him to the kitchen, ā€œStevie, we gotta work on this!ā€
Instead of his original plan of cuddling up to Steve and Eleanor in bed, he pulls out all the stuff to make grilled cheese. He hears the omega start to hum, turning he sees Steve in the chair with his shirt pushed up enough to guide Eleanor to his chest and her immediately latching on to drink.
He manages to not burn the shit out of the two sandwiches, placing one in front of Steve and dumping a bag of chips on both their plates. They eat in a comfortable silence, thatā€™s only filled with Steveā€™s soft hum.
They hear the front door open and Steve pulls his shirt down and over Eleanor, only losing tension when he hears his mom, ā€œBoys!ā€
They smile at her, and she placed a kiss on both their heads, ā€œStevie, you donā€™t have to keep ruining your shirts like thisā€ she doesnā€™t bother waiting, just pulls the shirt back up and rubs a hand against Eleanorā€™s head. They continue to chat while she makes herself something to eat.
ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”
Weeks go by and Eddie swears the kids he picked up are more nerdy than him and something entirely different. Heā€™ll catch them talking about weird shit and immediately shut up when someone else passes them.
He unfortunately sees Nancy way too often, she being the kidsā€™ ride more times than not. She attempted to talk to him all of once and he shot it down almost immediately with, ā€œIā€™ll be honest, Wheeler. I donā€™t really care much for you, we can tolerate each other for your brother. But we donā€™t need to be friends, okay?ā€
She only nods and he doesnā€™t smell her frustration, just sees it on her face.
Itā€™s three months into school and Eleanorā€™s going to be four months, when he and Steve decide to bring in their other friends into the know. Itā€™s not just that, but also Steveā€™s getting restless with staying home.
He said once Eleanor is no longer nursing, heā€™d look for a job.
(ā€œI just donā€™t feel like going back and forth, I know mom can watch her but-ā€œ
Eddie smiles and nods, looking down at Eleanor sleeping in his arms. ā€œYou donā€™t have to explain it to me, Stevie.ā€ )
So, that brings them to today. Theyā€™re out at Garethā€™s house, his parents out for the weekend and closest to their home. Steve has Eleanor in her car seat still, and Eddie has a backpack on his shoulder as he knocks on the door.
Itā€™s Gareth that opens the door and smiles, ā€œhey guys,ā€ he spies the car seat, ā€œcome on, bet she doesnā€™t want to stay in thereā€
Once inside, Steve makes quick work at getting Eleanor out and into his arms. ā€œThe guys here already?ā€
Gareth just nods, ā€œI told them that you were coming and that you both had something to tell them, I think theyā€™ve been listening to the dumb rumors and think you really did mate with each otherā€ he rolls his eyes, ā€œbut I mean,ā€
He points at Eleanor and then raises an eyebrow at Eddieā€™s arm pulling Steve closer, ā€œthis doesnā€™t helpā€
Steve rolls his eyes, ā€œwe canā€™t, my mom and Wayne told us that when weā€™re eighteen and both out of high school, then we canā€ he pouted and felt Eddie press a kiss to his temple, ā€œletā€™s go, before Ellie gets fussyā€
They follow Gareth, who laughed at the couple. Itā€™s not a long walk and right before they get into the room, the rest of the guys are laughing and right as theyā€™re spotted the laughter stops.
ā€œDude, am I high or is Steve holding a baby?ā€ - Jeff
ā€œIf youā€™re high, then Iā€™m high because holy fuck thatā€™s a baby!ā€ - Grant
Gareth rolls his eyes, Eddie and Steve are laughing. The others are still staring dumbfounded. Then, Eleanor makes it all too real and lets out a whine.
ā€œDumbasses, you arenā€™t high. That is a babyā€ Gareth finally says, then turns a raised eyebrow at the couple, ā€œbetter start talking, lovebirdsā€
They roll their eyes, Steve rocking Eleanor gently before they head to the empty couch, ā€œThis is Eleanorā€ he says and stares at all of them, ā€œSheā€™s the reason I left Hawkins high earlyā€
They nod, clearly listening and Grant points between them with a clear question of ā€œyourā€™s?ā€ Without saying it.
Eddie nods, ā€œShe wasnā€™t planned- I went to Stevieā€™s house one day when he skipped and well, we spent his heat togetherā€
ā€œIs- is she why youā€™re together?ā€ Jeff frowns at them, ā€œor were you already together?ā€
They shake their heads, Eddie slipped his hand into Steveā€™s and brings it up to his lips, pressing a kiss to his hand. It makes their friends to roll their eyes and smile, ā€œwe were dancing around each other for a while. But we got together after we spent his heat together- before we knew about Eleanorā€
ā€œI felt like shit for a month, my mom made me take a test.ā€ Steve took over, squeezing Eddieā€™s hand, ā€œhad a doctor really confirm it, I told Eddie a few weeks laterā€
After that, Eleanor got wiggly and Steve finally let her down on a blanket and all the boys were on the floor with her, holding toys for her to play with or wiggling their fingers for her to grab. Steve laughed and Eddie was smiling, it worked out and theyā€™re so glad their friends are loyal and happy for them.
Eleanor already has all of them wrapped around her finger.
ā€”ā€”ā€” A Week Later ā€”ā€”ā€”
Eddie groaned as he dropped at their lunch table, he was exhausted. Eleanor being fussier than normal for the last two days. Steve is just as exhausted, if not more. The only one not exhausted was Eleanor somehow.
ā€œDude. Whatā€™s wrong with you?ā€
Eddie groaned again before shifting to look at who spoke, finding the little freshmen he picked up. ā€œIā€™m tiredā€
Dustin raises his eyebrow, dropping next to him and he hopes the kid really doesnā€™t poke him. Heā€™s saved a little by Grant, ā€œYou good Eddie?ā€
He shrugged, ā€œjust tired, think we can move Fridayā€™s session? I think sheā€™s sickā€
The freshmen look confused, while Grant nods, ā€œI hope itā€™s not from any of us, I swear we only just met her and Iā€™m sure one of us would die for herā€
Eddie grins, ā€œsheā€™s like thatā€
Before the freshmen can ask who theyā€™re talking about, Gareth sits next to him with a smile, ā€œwhoā€™s like what? What are we talking about?ā€
ā€œGotta move the session this week, Ellieā€™s sickā€
Thatā€™s said right as Jeff sits down with the other freshman, ā€œdonā€™t tell me it was us!ā€
Eddie shrugs, ā€œweā€™re not sure- Janet thinks weā€™re overreacting.ā€ He lays his head back on the table pillowed on his arms, ā€œwake me before the bellā€
In the back of his head he knows the freshmen are confused and he mightā€™ve spilled too much.
~
Weā€™re gonna stop there for now, even though Iā€™m using the read more option again I still donā€™t want to make the parts too long, ya know? Anyway, again this is more slice of life, no plot. I mean I still add it in a litttttle but itā€™s nearly nothing. Next time we do a quick pov change (itā€™ll be Garethā€™s!) and itā€™ll take place directly after this (with a day skip too)
If you have any ideas for this, youā€™re welcome to share them!! I can add it in or write more!! (This is in general btw, you can always send me prompts!!)

I heard Hold On, We're Going Home on the radio on my drive home yesterday and this is what my brain supplied me with so šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
"Edddd-he-he-he-heeeeee!"
The sound of Dustin's wail splits through the rumbling of The Upside Down as they were racing back to the gate.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no! Fucking idiots! What happened to not being heroes! Steve thinks as he picks up his pace, sprinting faster than he ever has, towards where he thinks he heard the sound come from.
He comes to a skidding halt next to the pair. Dustin, clinging to a lifeless Eddie, his tear-streaked face turned up to the sky, a guttural scream ripping from his little brother's lungs as he howls in agony. It threatens to break through his concentration, but Steve's training is stronger.
"What happened?" Steve asks, trying to peel Dustin off of Eddie so he can get a better look at his wounds. It's obvious it was the bats; they're either dead or writhing around them. But it's like Dustin can't hear him; he's just weeping and rocking Eddie back and forth.
"Dustin!" Steve snaps, finally gaining the boy's attention, his eyes snap open and the grief and heartbreak in their innocent depths are almost too much. Steve knows it would've broken him this time last year, it still could if he doesn't keep his head on straight, "Let go. Let me help!" Steve insists, trying again to get Dustin to let go.
"Steve," Nancy mumbles, sympathy lacing her tone as she reaches out for him and Dustin over their shoulders, but he just holds his hand up to silence her.
"No! He's not going!" Steve asserts, "Dustin, off!" he demands, wrenching the boy away and all but throwing him into Robin's waiting arms.Ā
She's the only one who knew about the EMT course, she helped him read through some of his textbooks when he'd had to take the day off because he'd had the flu, she knows he's the only one that has a chance to fix this mess.Ā
Steve reaches for Eddie's throat, but there's a gaping hole on one side, it's bleeding a lot but not squirting, so he's hoping that it's just superficial. Blood's pooling around Eddie but not enough to have hit an artery, he's bleeding out, but it's slow, he can fix this. He presses his fingers into the other side of Eddie's neck. There, a pulse. Barely, but definitely there, once, twice then nothing.
He wastes no time in starting chest compressions, "Robin! Count," he pleads, he knows it'll be easier if he doesn't expend all his energy trying to do both at once.
"One and two and three, one and two and three, one and two and three," she copies his movements, only stopping counting when he searches again for a beat before continuing when he does.
He half hears Nancy trying to get what happened out of Dustin, how it happened, how long ago, but the kid only knows half of the story. He explains how Eddie cut the rope and ran off, how he made it back through the gate by himself, how the bats dropped out of the sky as he wobbled out of the trailer and how he found Eddie.
"He was- he was talking," Dustin gets out between sobs, still shaking in Robin's grasp, the two of them watching Steve work intently.
"When?" Steve asks, still pumping Eddie's chest, half listening to Robin keeping count.Ā
Dustin doesn't say anything for a second, then he splutters, "I- I don'tā€¦"
Except Steve doesn't have time for I don't know's, he needs to know, and he needs to know now, "Think, man!" Steve beseeches impatiently.
"Steve!" both girls snap, confusion written all over Nancy's face, fury on Robin's, mad at him for snapping at Dustin. She wraps her arms tighter, more protectively around the boy, pressing her chin into the top of his head, but she's still counting for him. Dustin's her favourite out of the boys and honestly, he can't blame her, he'd probably say the same if he had to choose.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry Dusty, but c'mon, I need to know," he implores.
Dustin nods, breathes deeply and sets his shoulders, scrunching his brows in concentration, "I don't know, he was bleeding, but he was talking, and then he saidā€¦ but then he was gone, and then you arrived," he recounts, thinking hard he nods to himself, "Seconds, fifteen, twenty? Maybe more, but definitely less than a minute," he decides.
Steve nods back at Dustin, "That's good. That's so good, man. I'm so proud of you," he tells him as sincerely as he can, but he's starting to get tired. He knows he can't do this much longer, his body is screaming at him from everywhere, but he won't stop. He can't. Not just for Dustin's sake but for his own.Ā
Because honestly, he hasn't been able to stop thinking about Eddie since the boathouse, since he'd pressed broken glass against his neck and left a bruise at the bottom of his back that hasn't gone away, that has him thinking about that moment every time it twinges, and he's already decided that there's no way this is going to be it, he won't let it end this way, not if he can help it.
Nancy's found some fabric from godknowswhere and is doing her best to wrap up the worst of Eddie's wounds. It's only when she runs out of material that she stops working and feels at Eddie's neck, "Pulse!" she shouts. Steve knocks her hand out of the way to check himself and sure enough, weak but there, proof that Eddie's heart is beating by itself.
"Move! Gate! Now!" Steve demands, using every bit of strength he's got left to lift Eddie from the ground. The girls grab either side of Dustin and high tail it to the trailer, Steve moving as fast as his legs will carry him after them. "C'mon, Eddie, just hold on, we're going home," he tells him, holding him more securely as he waddles up the steps.
Dustin's holding the door open for Steve as the girls drag the dining table under the gate, Robin climbing up onto the wooden surface and boosting Nancy through to the other side. Dustin pulls the door closed behind Steve and Eddie, then grabs a dining chair, dragging it next to the table and using it as a step to wobble up on the table surface. Nancy's already clambered off the waiting chair that Dustin had used to launch himself through the gate and is dragging the table into its place, climbing back up to catch Dustin as Robin carefully boosts the boy through to the other side.Ā
Robin jumps down and helps Steve climb onto the chair and then the tabletop with Eddie in his arms then she climbs back up, and hops a few times. It worries Steve given the way everything here is slowly decaying that the table will crumble beneath their feet, but it doesn't. She leaps at the gate, clinging to its sides and lifting herself until she's falling, landing ungracefully into Nancy's waiting arms, Dustin doing what he can to help them keep their balance.Ā
Steve nods to himself as he watches them get situated, ready to catch Eddie. All he has to do is get them both through the gate and then they're on the homestretch. All his training tells him Eddie needs a hospital like yesterday but looking at the unconscious boy in his arms, he stalls, something deep in him just can't let Eddie go. Not again.
"Steve," Robin calls, his attention immediately snapping to her, and he just knows from the look on her face. She knows, she sees him, it'll be okay, he just has to trust her and he does. He sucks in a breath and lifts Eddie as high as he can and when he feels the pull from the other side he pushes him towards it, Eddie floating between worlds landing heavily and awkwardly in Robin and Nancy's arms. Steve sucks in a breath when they catch him and between the three of them manage to get back on the ground, laying Eddie down gently on the mattress on the floor.Ā
Steve doesn't hang around to watch as they do their best to get Eddie comfortable, as soon as they're off the table, Steve grabs the dining chair, dragging it onto the tabletop, stepping up and through the gate, landing heavily on the surface before rolling off onto the ground.
Robin and Dustin have already disappeared and Nancy's screaming into the phone, "I know you can hear us, you bastards! Man down! Get a doctor to Memorial now!"
Steve crawls over to Eddie, kneeling over his patient, pressing his fingers back into his neck. He's still got a pulse, and he isn't bleeding too intensely from anywhere he can see, but Steve knows he won't be able to lift him again, his arms just won't take it. It doesn't stop him brushing gentle fingers over his cheek, wiping away some of the grime, "That's it, Eds, we're home now, man. You just rest, we'll get you the help you need," he mutters to him.Ā
When he sits back on his heels, he looks up to see Nancy's already waiting with Eddie's legs in her arms. He smiles gratefully at her, but he's distracted from actually thanking her when a car honks outside. They glance at each other and lift, carrying Eddie out and into the waiting car.
Of course you taught Dustin how to hot-wire a car! Little shits, the pair of you! Steve thinks affectionately, as he and Nancy lay Eddie gently over their knees in the backseat. Robin's behind the wheel, thank god! She sticks her foot flat on the gas pedal as soon as the backdoors are closed, panicking and shouting "shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!" as Dustin screams for her to "slow down!" as they peel out of the trailer park.
Steve's got one hand on Eddie's neck, holding a pile of napkins from the car's console to the open wound with his thumb, feeling the beat of this pulse through his fingertips, gently stroking Eddie's hair from his face with the other. "You've got some explaining to do when you get better, Eddie Munson. Don't think being a hero means I'm gonna forget about ignoring orders," Steve mumbles.Ā
Nancy hears him, glances sadly over but doesn't say anything, just turns her face away and focuses on the carnage outside, seeing the way the gate ripped Hawkins apart.Ā
"Just hold on, Eds, you're doing so good. Just stay with us, man. We've got you. It's still gonna be your year, just you watch! I swear we're gonna get you that diploma if it's the last thing I do. We'll have you back on your feet in no time, so I won't hear any excuses. I bet Dustin's told you I'm a pushover, and I am for that kid but don't think you're not getting out of it that easy. You might be cute, but you're not my kid brother," Steve rambles, because he can't do anything else to help, but he remembers reading in his textbooks that the unconscious can still hear, that talking to them can help bring them back to reality, and he's been knocked out enough times by now to know that it's true.Ā
"And you're on babysitting duty too. Someone's gotta help me wrangle these damn kids, 'cause I love Robin, but she's useless at it! You and me we're gonna get this one's attitude in check before the big bad world comes to bite him in the arse," Steve tells Eddie knowing he'll know who he's talking about, knowing Dustin will too. He hopes a bit of levity will help, but instead of the protest he half expects, a quiet sob is the only sound that comes out of the front seat.Ā
Robin reaches over and puts her hand over Dustin's where it had been white-knuckle clenching his seat, giving him the comfort Steve can't right now, and it's almost like they've switched roles.
She's even gotten used to driving, she seems almost as comfortable as he is when he's behind the wheel, and she's as good as he is too, if not better. Not that that surprises Steve. She's always been bigger, brighter and smarter than him, and he loves that so much about her.
"Then when you're all better, and you've finally graduated, you can go off and be a big rock star and shout to the nation instead of the school cafeteria," Steve mumbles, gently removing the tangles and dried blood from his hair. It makes him impossibly sad, but he says it because he knows that's what Eddie wants, what he'd wanted since that damn talent show.
It's not even close to what Steve wants, he wants Eddie to stay with him, to choose to rant to him about the state of the nation's politics and how anything is made better if you add cheese, but it's not an offer he's sure he could ever make and definitely not something he wants to admit aloud especially when Eddie's unconscious.
They're around the corner from the hospital when Eddie makes a guttural rumbling sound that Steve knows isn't good. Shit! Everyone in the car seems to pick up on the tension that automatically fills his body as he presses his fingers harder into Eddie's neck, his pulse is there, but it's weakening. Robin presses down on the gas, the car screeching to a halt outside the ER entrance, Dustin leaping from the vehicle before it's even stopped moving, screaming for help.Ā
Robin pulls open the car door, grabbing Eddie under his shoulders, helping him and Nancy manoeuvre Eddie carefully out of the backseat, "We're here now, Eds, they're gonna fix you, okay? Just hold on a bit longer, baby, and we'll soon have you home," he tells him as he holds the bloodstained paper to his neck, barely noticing when two nurses arrive with a gurney.
The girls practically have to hold him up as soon as Eddie is safely laid on the bed.
The four of them follow him into the hospital as far as they're allowed anyway, a nurse pressing a firm hand into his chest. Steve wants to argue, he wants to go with Eddie, he wants to make sure they look after him properly, but as he looks at the nurse he realises immediately why he recognises her, it's Stinson. She doesn't say anything, just nods at him, but he understands that she's saying, I've got it from here, so he takes a step back, watching helplessly as the door swings shut behind her.
Dustin and the girls crowd into his chest, relief and grief and love, and all he can do is hold them tight and hope and pray he's right.

Bitter truth.
Tumblr media
Note: idfk why I wrote this but it happened so...
Also I called the girl Aurora coz why not šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
Set in 1984
Warnings: swearing, breakups, cheating, smoking, mentions of drugs and alcohol, threats of violence.
Summary: when Eddie cheats on Aurora and normality seems to turn on her like the wind, she finds herself back with old friends, and the long haired boy may just live to despise his decision.
Metalheads weren't exactly a common occurrence in Hawkins, and even then, only a select few were decent enough to even say hello to in passing.
That is how Aurora found herself dating the infamous, long-haired, doe-eyed "freak"; Eddie Munson. They had much in common, both guitar players, dead set on becoming kick-ass rock legends and changing the world, they both had amazing hair, and they both associated with a very, very dysfunctional group known as "the party".
Aurora had always been close with the boys, having babysat for Joyce Byers as a younger teen and developing friendships with both Nancy wheeler and Robin Buckley, along with Steve and Jonathan later on. She was kind, those who hated her only for her friends and her 'vibe', for her personality was nothing to complain about.
Her kindness even, somehow, led her to a friendship with Billy Hargrove, who drove her home or kept away creepy teenage boys in exchange for the very secret help with homework and patching him up after fights with his father.
She was much loved around Hawkins by those with decent hearts and always seemed to be smiling, radiating a warm energy into any room she entered.
It was surprising when she first started to date the Munson boy, however.
He didn't treat her like a princess, or even like his girlfriend alot of the time. He told her she tried too hard when she listened to heavier music than him, complained about her guitar skills despite them being practically perfect. He picked on her outfits and her hair and lots of things. Yet she stayed by him, and cared for him, taking what little affection she gained in return with a smile.
This is how she found herself approaching Eddie's trailer in the howling wind, in the pitch black on a Friday night. They had arranged to meet up to watch films and play guitar, but for a reason unknown to Aurora, Eddie had neglected to pick her up, so she made her own way.
She opened the door as she usually would and walked through into the trailer, it didn't look any different, but it sounded it. There were hushed whispers coming from the room down the hall and she smiled, expecting Eddie to be hunched over his guitar perfecting a song or two. She noticed the boys habit of talking to himself when he was involved in his music.
She walked quietly to the door and held the handle, pausing suddenly when she realised the door was open a crack. Eddie never left it open. Never. It was like an unspoken rule to the boy. His room was his and his only.
She pushed it inwards carefully and it glided away from her hand, revealing her boyfriends room and her boyfriend.
On top of a girl.
On top of Chrissy Cunningham.
He had his head buried in her neck and neither of them wore any clothes, the items already discarded on the hardwood floor amongst various other objects.
Aurora just stood there as Chrissy shrieked and Eddie turned around like he'd just been struck by lightning. She didn't move, just stood, her arms dropping by her side, swinging subtly like they weren't even a part of her anymore. Like she had become an inanimate object.
She opened her mouth slightly and looked away, nodding her head in the slightest way and turning around, dazed and broken. Her eyes were emotionless and she walked out and down the steps like her life had just been slapped out of her.
She could here the stumble of Eddie trying to get back into his jeans and out the door. He followed her but she continued to walk, even as the rain began to pelt down like the black clouds shared her pain.
Eddie shouted her name but she just wandered off into the darkness, down the road. The rain water soaked through her Black Sabbath shirt and dripped down her arms, past her few tattoos and collecting on her leather bracelets and rings.
Her teats began to fall, basically unnoticeable against the splashing water droplets hailing from the night above her and she dragged her feet. She had her friends but Eddie had been her person. Her reason. Her life. This dealing was foreign to her. Someone so set on ridding the world of people who cheated and lied and fought had caused her more pain than any Hawkins jock or dolled up mother could.
She continued to kick stones up from the side of the road as she went, her breathing becoming heavier by the second. What she wasn't expecting was to zone out and for a familiar blue camaro to pull up beside her.
Billy rolled down the window and pushed open the passenger door for the soaking girl.
"Get in." He spoke calmly, nothing more, nothing less.
She slid in, staring at her lap.
"I'm getting your car all wet." She whispered, trying not to let her crying become detectable.
"You know I don't give a fuck, Aurora. What the hell are you doing out here?" His voice raised but he wasn't angry with her in the slightest. He noticed her shaking hands and offered her a cigarette, which she took, nodding at him briefly before bringing it to her lips.
He raised his eyebrows and after a moment she whispered something.
"He's with her. I went in for our date night and he was with her." Billy's face changed instantly from concern to anger and he held the steering wheel tightly in his fist.
"What." His word was laced with venom and he turned to fully face her.
"I went into his room and he was naked, on top of that cheerleading bitch, Carvers girl." She rested her head back against the seat and a lone tear slipped down her freezing face.
"I'm gonna rip that stupid motherfucker's face off! Who the fu-"
"I don't wanna be in Hawkins anymore. I always talk about leaving but I just need to fucking go. Anywhere. Fuck Munson, fuck Chrissy, fuck Hawkins, Billy. I wanna go."
The boy paused. He brushed his hair back and looked out the window, he turned to watch Aurora blow smoke out the crack in the window and sighed.
"Let's fucking go."
"Wait, really?"
"Yeah." He replied quickly, laughing slightly. "There's nothing for us here. Let's go: just you and me. You're gonna be a huge fuckin rockstar and I've been wanting back to california since I got in that fucking car."
Aurora laughed in disbelief and threw her cigarette from the car.
"Right now?"
He made eye contact with her and smirked.
"Right fuckin now."
He drove the pair to Auroras house, where the girl climbed through her window and pulled out two small bags of clothes, some cash, and her guitar, she passed it to the mullet wearing boy and he quickly placed it in the back of the camaro. Aurora climbed back down and ran to the passenger side. The pair speeding off to their new destination. Cali-fuckin-fornia.
ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†
Two days later the pair found themselves in a motel just outside Hollywood. They had kept to their words and hasn't stopped till they got there.
Aurora laid on the bed while Billy brushed his hair hastily in the tiny mirror in the bathroom.
"We never thought about where we're gonna live." The boy spoke suddenly, shattering the comfortable silence that lay between the pair.
"I've got a few friends here. Don't you fuckin worry about it."
ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†
Six months later and no one in Hawkins had any idea where the ex-king of Hawkins high and the party's sweetheart had disappeared off to.
Some said he kidnapped her. Others they were having an affair and ran off. Others she was pregnant by the boy and the personal favorite of the basket ball team, Satan took them both down to hell.
The party sat in the byers home, bundled up on sofas and the floor and whatever else they could squish onto. Steve fiddled with the channels unconsciously as the kids bickered between themselves.
The Brunette flicked past MTV and suddenly Eddie was all on him screaming for him to turn it back on. It was some music festival interviews, featuring Eddie's personal favorites, Metallica.
His now girlfriend, Chrissy, sat next to him, silently staring down the children on the floor infront of her. Eddie seemed to try and replace Aurora with the girl and max, Robin, Nancy and will were not having it in the slightest, the rest of the party trying to adapt to it.
He shushed everyone almost violently as kirk hammet began to talk through the screen as an interviewer spoke to him about the show about to be played.
ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†
There were tons of famous rockstars on the show; Guns n' Roses, Mƶtley CrĆ¼e, Pantera, Hanoi Rocks, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, ZZ top, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden. It was Eddie's dream.
But during a random interview with various guys from different bands backstage, a very intoxicated Ozzy Osbourne stumbled into the room, his arm wrapped around a girl with bright white hair, adorned in black leather and studded jewelery, her other side held onto by an equally as hammered Eddie Van Halen. She was thrown a box of cigarettes by non other than Nikki Sixx and she lit one, placing it between her rouged lips before being dragged over to the camera. Her black sunglasses hid her eyes as the drunk British man began to speak into the camera.
It was all so cartoon like and Eddie laughed at the screen. Laughed until the rockstar moved back and revealed the girl without her glasses.
"And this," the loud Birmingham accent blared as the bot reached to turn the volume up. "Is Aurora Angel! Fucking mint girl right here this is, best woman guitarist I ever" He paused, forgetting himself, causing the girl to laugh and lean back on Van Halen's shoulder.
"Met?" She suggested. And the man's arms flew round her shoulder, shouting yes and stealing her cigarette before running off.
"Bloody hells, anyways." She laughed and turned to the woman now asking her questions.
"So, Aurora, we know you've been seen on the strip with a man quite a few times now, you seem close? Who is he?"
She bit her lip in thought and smiled suddenly when she realised what the lady was regarding. "Oh shit yeah, no. That's Billy. Best mate and number one fan. He's around here somewhere." She turned, her hair blowing slightly.
She was approached by the boy who still sported the same mullet, who was joined by non other than James Hetfield who engulfed the girl in a hug before joining in with the conversation.
ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†
Eddie stood from his seat, shocked to his core. The kids began to freak out and max was shouting along with Steve.
No way, his girl. Ex-girl. Whom he had cheated on and replaced. Had become a famous rockstar, on hugging terms with his idol.
He felt his insides liquefy when he realised the bitter truth.
His rockstar potential was now 100% non-existent. Not when everyone in the industry was in love with the girl he broke and probably hated his guts for hurting her.
He was totally and utterly fucked.

Something that is kinda strange to me is the fact that in s1 ep7 we don't see Mike's reactions to anything that's happening when El is in the isolation pool. We see clips of Jonathan, Nancy, Hop, Lucas, and Dustin just reacting and then Joyce helping comfort El, but absolutely nothing of Mike the whole time despite knowing he's sitting right beside Jonathan. (Which now that I think about it, is weird placement for him but šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø)
I just wish they'd shown him reacting to El freaking out since he cares so much for (and is supposedly in-like with) her at this point, or to Will talking over the radio since he wants to find him so badly and was the first of the kids to believe he was still alive (and he just got confirmation of his kindergarten crush best friend being not dead). But what do I know?
I don't think it means or implies anything specific, it's just something weird I noticed and figured I'd share.

Window pt 1
Steve doesnā€™t realize quite how much heā€™s put on recently (or how enamored to a certain metalhead heā€™s become) and gets stuck in a window.Ā
Inspired by this. Part 2 from Eddie's POV is here.
rated: T | words: 2765 | cw: none | tags: chubby steve, pre-relationship, weight gain, steveā€™s bisexual awakening in progress
And, uh. Donā€™t have a couple beers and drive. But, like, it was the 80s, so. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøĀ
Maybe also donā€™t try to climb through a window when itā€™s the 80s and most people donā€™t lock their front doors anyway. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøĀ
(Would Eddie and Wayne lock the trailer, when itā€™s just as easy to pry a window open? I mean yeah Eddie has drugs in there but he clearly hides them well enough that even he canā€™t find them sometimes, so idk.)
Eddie isnā€™t home, but thatā€™s okay; itā€™s an impulsive visit, as most of them are, so Steve knows what to do. He goes into it all confident and cocky because heā€™s pretty sure itā€™ll be easier than the other times heā€™s done it because the porch is right there, no drainpipe climbing required or nosey younger sibling to catch him at it with a look of annoyed disgust that will echo down through the years.Ā
Mike still looks at him like that, no matter how many free rides or free movies he and his friends manage to wring out of Steve, which is, in Steveā€™s opinion, really dumb of the kid. He doesnā€™t even like Nancy like that anymore, for fuckā€™s sake, get over it Mike. (And itā€™s easier to go off on a tangent in his head about Mike than really examine the comparison between climbing into Nancyā€™s room and climbing into Eddieā€™s, so Steve is just rolling with it.)
Anyway, the point is, heā€™s got this. He pulls the BMW up a respectful distance away so that Eddie and Wayne will still have room to park later in case heā€™s here that long, and all but bounces out of the driverā€™s seat into the warm night air.Ā
Maybe he should have thought about it a little more, because, as it turns outā€¦ he does not got this.Ā
ā€œDo mine eyes deceive me? Is it the King Steve, what through yonder window breaks?ā€
ā€œHi Eddie,ā€ Steve says flatly, unsurprised. Heā€™d heard the van rumble up, and the distinctive squeak of the driver's side door. For the last hour or so heā€™s resigned himself to standing by on the old easy chair on the porch, chin in his hands where his elbows rest on the dresser just inside the window. At least itā€™s late enough (and Lucas managed to talk Max into summer camp this year) that no one else is likely to see him.
He can hear the grin in Eddieā€™s reply. ā€œHiya, Stevie. Mind explaining what Iā€™m coming home to here?ā€
Steve doesnā€™t want to dignify that with a response, because fuck, isnā€™t it obvious? But he also doesnā€™t want to antagonize his friend and risk being stuck in this window all nightā€”not that he thinks Eddie would leave him here, but Steve doesnā€™t want to deserve to be left. With a heavy breath out through his nose, he says, ā€œIā€™m a little stuck here, man. Help me out?ā€
Almost immediately he feels Eddie step in close, hand on his right hip where itā€™s caught in the window frame, and maybe just a hint of warm thumb brushing over where the skin is pink and pinched. Steve has to hold himself very still to avoid reacting to that, not completely sure he didnā€™t imagine it anyway.Ā
ā€œOut?ā€ Eddie asks, sounding like heā€™s trying to calculate something in his head. ā€œOr in?ā€
ā€œUhā€¦ whichever gets me unstuck faster, I guess?ā€
Eddie chuckles. ā€œIn it is, then. You mustā€™ve been pretty determined to get in there and wait for me, you made some good progress here. Iā€™m guessing you got to a point where you couldnā€™t get the angle right, huh sweetheart?ā€
ā€œJesus, Eddieā€¦ā€ Why did he have to put it like that? And why is it giving Steve goosebumps? ā€œLook, I think if you just lift me by the legs a bit I can, likeā€¦ walk forward on my hands, kinda, andā€”ā€ He tries to demonstrate, but bumps the neck of the guitar with THIS MACHINE SLAYS DRAGONS scrawled across its front and makes a failed attempt at lunging to catch it, wincing when it thumps down against the floor.
ā€œWhat was that?ā€
ā€œā€¦ What was what?ā€
ā€œSteveā€¦ā€
ā€œOkay okay, it was your acoustic, Iā€™m sorry dude, I justā€¦ Iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s fine.ā€
ā€œSheā€™d better be, Harrington. Lucky for you my sweetheart is still safe in the van, far from your clumsy fumblings, or I might have to call in the cavalry.ā€
Again Steve twists, trying to look at him, and something else falls off the dresserā€”he thinks itā€™s just some sort of magazine. ā€œLiar. I know you wouldnā€™t call the cops on me, Munson.ā€
ā€œYouā€™re right, I wouldnā€™t.ā€ Eddie shoots back. ā€œIā€™d call Robin.ā€
Steve grimaces again. ā€œYou wouldnā€™t dare.ā€
ā€œAnd Wheeler, too. Jonā€™s still in town, maybe he could be persuaded to bring his camera to document this posterior for posterity.ā€
Suddenly Eddieā€™s hands are on his ass, and Steve is torn between a vivid memory of trying to shove Dustin into a vent at Starcourt and a zing of nerves that should not be linked to his pseudo-little-brother in any way, and itā€™s all Eddieā€™s faultā€”
The first real shove catches Steve and his flatlining brain by surprise, jostling him enough that his elbows slip and he nearly cracks his chin on the cluttered dresser surface. ā€œHey,ā€ he calls sharply over one shoulder.Ā
ā€œSorry sweetheart, did you need a ā€˜one two three goā€™?ā€ Eddie pats at his ass with both hands, tapping out a little rhythm, and Steve has to restrain the urge to donkey kick him.Ā
ā€œThis isnā€™t funny, Munson,ā€ he insists. ā€œAnd some sort of warning wouldā€™ve been nice, yeah.ā€ His tone is sarcastic, but his face is burning red, and once the words are out he has to bite his lip to keep from saying anything else. Not that Steve even knows what, thereā€™s justā€¦ something, precarious, on the tip of his brain that might spill out his mouth if heā€™s not careful, and he doesnā€™t want to find out what it is like that.Ā
Eddie snickers. ā€œItā€™s a little bit funny, but point taken. Iā€™m going to give you another push here. Ready?ā€
ā€œYeah, Iā€™m ready.ā€ What a fucking day. All Steve had wanted was to smoke up a little and hang out, like they usually do. And okay, maybe heā€™s a little grumpy that Eddie wasnā€™t even home when he got hereā€” ā€œWhere were you, anyway?ā€ he asks, grunting and trying to wriggle forward with every shove. Might as well talk, get his mind off the vice grip the window frame has on his hips. ā€œYouā€™re usuallyā€”oofā€”here when I finish a closing shift.ā€
ā€œPractice ran long,ā€ Eddie grunts back. After the first few rounds of ready steady go he started to get more serious and really put his weight into it. ā€œThat, and Garethā€™s been having someā€¦ shall we say, romantic troubles lately, and needed consolation and advice.ā€
Steve feels a vague prickle of jealousy, even as he manages to grip the dresser edge hard enough to hold onto a fraction of an inch of progress. ā€œWhat kinda consolation? Been smoking without me, Munson?ā€
ā€œNo,ā€ comes the amused reply. ā€œJust a couple beers. I do have other friends besides you and the monster hunters club, you know.ā€
Which really makes Steveā€™s face flame, because heā€¦ doesnā€™t. Not anymore. Not even a girlfriend; itā€™s like his heartā€™s not fully in it anymore and they can smell that on him. He tries to replace his embarrassment (Eddie didnā€™t mean it like that, Steve knows he didnā€™t) with determination, wrenching himself forward without regard for the way the window frameā€™s hard metal edges scrape against his skin. He doesnā€™t feel the full bite of it in some places, thanks to the knots of scar tissue the Upside Down had left him with on his sides, itā€™s fine.Ā
But almost immediately thereā€™s a strong grip on the outsides of his thighs. ā€œWoah there Stevie,ā€ Eddie cautions, and he actually sounds concerned. ā€œDonā€™t hurt yourself, man. Weā€™ll get you out of here and get you caught up if you want, I have beer here too, alright? Justā€¦ā€
ā€œJust what?ā€ Steve grumbles. He doesnā€™t know why he feels so stung, feels like Eddie ditched himā€”they didnā€™t even have plans for fuckā€™s sake. At most, theyā€™ve had a string of casual hangouts roughly every other night at around the same time for a months now, but theyā€™ve never really talked about it, never solidified anything.Ā
He tells himself that he wouldnā€™t even care if he hadnā€™t gotten stuck in the window like an idiot, but if thatā€™s the case then why does this show of concern feel like a cooling balm over his temper?
Eddie sighs, but not like heā€™s annoyed. More likeā€¦ heā€™s choosing his words carefully. ā€œJust, uhā€¦ try to suck in a bit?ā€
Blinking, Steve tries to look over his shoulder. He canā€™t quite see Eddie, just out of the corner of his eye, but it looks like heā€™s chewing on his lip. Then he pushes himself up on the dresser and looks down along the front of his body to where heā€™s stuck, trying to make sense ofā€¦
Oh. His face goes hot again.Ā
The window doesnā€™t open very far, is the thing, and for the first time Steve fully registers that itā€™s not just his hips that are caught. Reddened skin peeks out from the bottom of his shirt, and some of that is because itā€™s ridden up during his struggles, but he alsoā€¦ makes contact with the top of the dresser, which comes up to about an inch or so below the frame. Now that heā€™s paying attention, he registers part of himself pressing against the metal of the trailer exterior, too.
He used to be pretty trim, but that had been back in high school and while running from monsters and dark wizards in an alternate dimension.Ā
When did he get a belly?
ā€œFuck,ā€ he curses under his breath, and does as heā€™s told.Ā
Eddie doesnā€™t belabor the point, just gets his hands on Steveā€™s ass again with a ā€œOne, two, three, push.ā€
And itā€™s still a hard drag against his front, but it works this time. Steve jolts forward, too caught by surprise and still flustered, catching himself hands-first on Eddieā€™s messy bedroom floor and gracelessly flopping the rest of the way in. The carpet (or really, the layer of dirty laundry on top of it) doesnā€™t smell great, but he stays slumped there for a moment, recovering.Ā
At least he avoided landing on the acoustic guitar, though.Ā
ā€œYou okay there, dude?ā€
Steve groans. ā€œIā€™m fine. That fucking window looked bigger from the outside, thatā€™s all.ā€
Eddie lets out a disbelieving snort, then follows him in, shimmying over the narrow sill with an ease and silence that comes from years of practice. When heā€™s done, he leans his scrawny ass back against the dresser and spreads his hand in a tada motion.Ā
And Steveā€™s not dumb, he knows that heā€™s put on weight since the Upside Down. Since finally coming down from constant recurring nightmare panic mode. Yeah he didnā€™t realize it was so obvious, but he can admit (at least in the privacy of his own head) that thatā€™s why he got stuck.Ā
He opens his mouth to say something along the lines of you donā€™t have to rub it in, but snaps it shut again when Eddie steps forward and offers him a hand up. The grip is calloused from guitar playing, strong and sure from slinging amps aroundā€”and he feels that zing again, phantom handprints on his ass.Ā
ā€œYou okay?ā€ Eddie asks once theyā€™re on the same level again. ā€œYou were really wedged in there, looked kinda painful.ā€
ā€œI,ā€ Steve starts, but stops when Eddieā€™s other hand lands on his hip. Which is not completely unusualā€¦ Eddie is a touchy guy, very hands-on with all his friends. Heā€™s poked at Steveā€™s sides before, comparing their bite marks, and Steve hasnā€™t really thought about it much before now.Ā
Because thatā€™s what trauma-bonded people do, right? The last party that had rounded up all the young adults, Nancy smoked with them and she and Jonathan had spent most of the rest of the evening cuddled up together, lining up the scars on their palms.Ā
Eddieā€™s thumb brushes the skin above his waistband, ghosting warmly over where itā€™s red and a little raw.Ā
ā€œIā€™m fine,ā€ Steve manages to say, but heā€™s not. His brain is going haywireā€”from the touch, from Eddieā€™s Bambi-eyed stare, from all the thoughts that have been pining around his head tonight and everything heā€™s pointedly not thought about too. (About climbing in a boyā€™s window. About being jealous. About hands on his ass and how it hadnā€™t been a bad surprise, and the thumb grazing deliberately over the swell of softness at his middle with concern bordering on reverence.)
Something in Steve aches, and itā€™s a familiar pang. It reminds him of how he used to feel whenever he looked at Nancy, before he had let go of the last scraps of that dream. Eddie seems more real, more touchableā€¦ He always is, when they hang out, and especially when theyā€™re by themselves. Eddie is a touchy guy.Ā
ā€œYeah,ā€ Eddie says slowly, distracted. He keeps running his thumb along Steveā€™s softness, drifting up a little further under his shirt until his pointer finger meets skin too like a dazed afterthought. His tongue darts out to lick his lipsā€”Steve canā€™t help the way his eyes are drawn to the motion. ā€œYeah, you areā€¦ pretty fineā€¦ā€
Not once, not for months, has Steve felt electricity like this in the air, under his skin, sparking at a simple touch. Itā€™s why he stopped flirting with the girls who came into Family Video, even the ones who eyed him in a way he knew meant they were a sure thing. The way Eddie is looking at him right now, even though heā€™sā€¦
Well. Heā€™s let himself go, hasnā€™t he? And he knows it, kind of knew it for a while and just not thought about it because he didnā€™t think he had too, but itā€™s getting obvious now. Steve has never felt more self-conscious about his body in his entire life and, right while heā€™s in the middle of reconciling wanting to pout because his best guy friend was off having fun without him, Eddie just had to go and compliment it.Ā
Steve swallows hard. ā€œYou, uh. You think so?ā€ Heā€™s not fishing for complements, heā€™s not, he just wants to know what Eddie means.Ā
Still slowly, Eddie looks up at him through his eyelashes. Itā€™s almost shy, which is so unlike the Eddie that Steve has come to expect, but his eyes are big and brown and a little wild in an achingly familiar way and Steve has to resist the urge to sway forwardā€”
ā€œOf course, Stevie,ā€ Eddie says quietly. Is he afraid that they might be overheard in the empty trailer? Afraid to break the moment by speaking too loud? His hand is still just under Steveā€™s shirt, light little touches that Steve canā€™t help but find soothing, almost hypnotic. ā€œAlways.ā€
Steve wants to lean in, because he knows heā€™s not reading the signs wrong.Ā
But then, at the last second, he remembers what Eddie had said about having a few beers with Gareth. Probably just enough to be a little tipsy. But if Eddie is gayā€”and, like, Steve wouldnā€™t be surprised, heā€™s learned some of the clues from Robin and there have always been rumorsā€”heā€™s not out. Not to Steve, anyway, and Steveā€¦ is whatever he is, apparently, which definitely warrants a phone call and possibly a bathroom floor confession to his platonic other half as soon as he gets a chance, holy shitā€¦ Suddenly everything feels delicate, like there is something there but one wrong move and it could shatter, and Steve doesnā€™t know if he could take anymore shards to his heart. Not these days, not if itā€™s Eddie.Ā
He just wants to be a little more sure first. Do this right, if itā€™s really happening. So, for now, he only says, ā€œSo, uh. Wanna smoke?ā€
Eddie smiles, dimples popping and eyes lighting up, and his hand gives Steveā€™s hip a little inadvertent squeeze as he bounces past him. ā€œYeah, we can do that. Iā€™ve got a few joints already rolled, Iā€™ve got snacksā€”ā€ Heā€™s already hauling his black metal lunchbox from under the bed and riffling through it, his bright enthusiasm making Steve feel warm all the way through. ā€œProp my baby back up, will you? Treat her right, Stevie, or Iā€™ll be forced to rescind my offer of pretzels and bagel bite pizzas.ā€
ā€œWouldnā€™t want that,ā€ Steve agrees with a chuckle, and does as heā€™s told. It doesnā€™t escape his notice that Eddie just mentioned some of his favorites for when the munchies set in.Ā
Heā€™s going to figure this out, but for now they can just hang out like normal and have a good night.

My brain has decided that it wants to start a new fic even though Iā€™m currently writing one šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
A Captain America AU popped into existence in my brain today and I will be writing it but for now, hereā€™s the character list
Steve is Steve Rogers: this feels self explanatory but only child with a desperate need to help others, pushed into the spotlight with a forced persona, deeply lonely
Eddie is Bucky Barnes: this is mostly because of the Kas theory but also because Bucky is headcanoned to use a lot of pet names too
Chrissy is Peggy Carter: there wonā€™t be any Steve Peggy romance but Chrissy feels like such a perfect match for Peggy
Vecna/Henry is Redskull: duh
Robin is Sam Wilson: I was torn between her being Nat or being Sam but I decided that her personality matches Sam better
Nancy is Natasha Romanoff: see above reasoning
Jonathan is Clint Barton: Iā€™ve decided to just make a big polycule so I can have all my marvel ships be happy
Argyle is Laura Barton: see above lol
Hopper is Tony Stark: dude was held captive by a foreign power for information, that feels like enough
Joyce is Bruce Banner: she just has the vibe I guess
Murray is Thor: vibes
Brenner is Alexander Pierce: duh
Dr. Owens is Nick Fury: this one was tough but it feels like a good match as both of them compartmentalize a lot
I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll include the kids at any point but I do have them casted
El is Wanda Maximoff: again, duh
Will is Pietro Maximoff: I couldnt separate the wonder twins
Max is Yelena Belova: she just fits so perfectly
Dustin is Peter Parker: heā€™s such a nerd
Lucas is Kate Bishop: this is entirely because of the slingshot
Mike is the only one I canā€™t pick a specific character for so any suggestions would be helpful

Season 5 Episode 1: Both Sides, Now.
I was confused at first when this opening scene popped up.
This poor kid. Fuck those kids.
Owen therapy can in fact helpšŸ™„
Marjan and PaulšŸ„µšŸ„µ
I need them to put the fire out that they started in me.
Mateo and NancyšŸ„µšŸ„µ Iā€™m a bitch for them.
Though Marjan really has my heartā€¦. And other parts. Sheā€™s like the prettiest woman Iā€™ve ever seen.
They all work so well togetheršŸ„²šŸ„²
I miss Judd though. But I miss Grace WAY more.
Paul and Marjan could always be co-lieutenants and just share the pay raise right????????
Though really I just want Judd back.
Idk what the real difference is between 911 and 911 Lonestar. Maybe it feels like 911 Lonestar is just slower? It just doesnā€™t give me the same energy as 911šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø Iā€™ve heard itā€™s that 911 Lonestar focuses more on the teams and the people but I feel like 911 does that?
CARLOS AS A TEXAS RANGER? TAKE MY DAMN OVARIES!
JUDD MY SWEET BABY!! SLAY.
I really feel like we didnā€™t need this Wyatt getting injured story arc thoughā€¦..
Carlos is so boss. The two belts keep cracking me up though. I canā€™t help myselfšŸ˜‚
Oh the whole forced proximity to become friends trope. Gotta love it.
Marjan and Paul are the best. Mateo is a shit starteršŸ˜‚
Tommy: they are gonna kill each other or themselves.
Owen: no they wonā€™tšŸ™‚ā€ā†”ļø
Marjan and Paul: going to kill each other or themselvesšŸŖ“šŸ‘©šŸ½ā€šŸ¤ā€šŸ‘ØšŸ¾šŸ”Ŗ
Owen: okay I believe you now TommyšŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø.
Wyatt is talking some sense into Judd and Judd ainā€™t listening in typical Judd fashion. We need Grace back to knock some sense into him.
Carlos and TK. I love them. Perfect couple I will hear no differentšŸ§‘šŸ¼ā€šŸ³šŸ’‹
YOUR GUT ISNā€™T WRONG CARLOS LISTEN TO TK DAMN IT!!!
Texas Ranger just looks so good on Ranger Carlos Reyes.
WYATT BEING A DISPATCHER GIVES ME LIFE.
Owen is so fucking oblivious omg. He means the best but come on man.
Oh you done fucked around and found out. RANGER REYES IS ON YOUR CASE.
This Campbell guy is kinda the worst but he is mighty finešŸ„µ
THE BEARDED DRAGON BEING THEIR SON IS CUTE!!! CARLOS MY LOVE! IM SORRY ABOUT YOUR DAD!
Still confused about the woman at the beginning? Anyone else? No just me? Okayā€¦ā€¦ I guess it hasnā€™t been a week yet?

Ok I have so many thoughts abt this bonus chapter!!!
The kids first day of school is killing me so much omg! The nervous Dustin and Bug are experiencing is sooo relatable. Mrs. Henderson taking all those pictures is absolutely adorable.
Bug getting left alone by all the kids and Nancy and Robin is hurting my soul. Are you in my walls because hello?!?! Her stress about college is valid bc same. Nancy and bug finally getting along? Shocking, crazy, exciting!
Anyways Steveā€™s dad can fuck off thank you very much šŸ¤- help me understand this communication issue between Jonathan, Nancy, and bug bc is it really that hard to talk to each other?! Idk maybe it is šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø not like I know anything!
And lastly, Max. My baby. She deserves so much better omg. I hate that I know whatā€™s gonna happen.
now why would a bunch of teenagers communicate with one another ??? now who would do that ??? its far too easy a resolution smh
writing bug applying to college gave me war flashbacks god i hated senior year so much. and for bug to be all alone during it :(((( weā€™ll dig deeper into that next season tho !
and steves parents ,,,, sigh. fuck richard all my homies hate him

toooootally agree that steve dying in s4 would have made sense. after all the mentions of running away and steve never doing that, his death would have hit home that standing and fighting isn't always the best (or smartest) choice. also think about how interesting that could have been for eddie, unceremoniously placed in the big brother position
LOTS of potential for interesting character moments but. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
no EXACTLY.
It's a plotline that not only /didn't/ fit Eddie's overall story, but /would/ have fit Steve's arc so perfectly if they hadn't decided to use him largely for comic relief and regurgitated relationship drama in S4 and had actually, y'know, written him an arc.
This is a guy we've seen come back from having the absolute shit kicked out of him three seasons in a row, who throws himself into the line of fire with very few questions asked of himself other than "will this choice help keep these people safe" and who-- this is the interesting part for me-- always gets back up.
He's almost over powered with the way he can take a hit and keep going and it grows with intensity every season 1-3 to the point where you can see him getting more reckless with his human shield endeavors. Steve has gotten up before, he knows this about himself, he has convinced himself that this means he'll be able to get up again, convinced himself that he'll resurface from that lake to the degree where he just does it so casually.
But that's not true. The opportunity to have Steve run headlong into a frenzy of creatures that he was already almost taken out by once and /needed/ backup to survive without that backup, to do it for Dustin's sake after building that relationship up so thoroughly during s2-3, and then for him to not only not get back up again, but for it to have BEEN IN VAIN? because they still don't WIN?
AND THEY DECIDED NOT TO TAKE THAT OPPORTUNITY?
The version of that scene where Dustin is sobbing over Steve's dying body pleading "No-- Steve-- you die, I die-- Hey, stop, you die, I die, got it? You son of a bitch you die. I die. Don't you fucking dare, please, please--" while Steve smiles and reassures him because he has so much faith that this is worth it because it's over now, it must be lives rent free in my mind.
The version of S5 that gives us the opportunity to see the fallout of what losing one of our original s1 characters does to the rest of them-- does to Dustin in the trauma of watching it happen, does to ROBIN who is half a soul down when she was within /walking distance/ of his final stand, does to Nancy who has got to be convinced at that point that her love is a death sentence, does to Max who has now lost two older brothers (even if this one is both less and more complicated because she actually felt /safe/ around him), does to Lucas who has looked up to Steve in so many ways, does to Eddie who is new to this group and now feels the utterly incomprehensible size of the shoes dropped at his feet to fill-- a sword to carry when his chosen path had always been a shield? Yeah. that lives rent free in my mind too.
The Duffers are cowards who didn't want to kill off a fan favorite and risk losing viewership in their last season and I for one think it hurt them in the long run.
sorry for blabbering I have so many thoughts about this šŸ˜

Ok so we all know that The Black Coldron is the closest thing to a horror movie we have from Disney (aside from the movie Something Wicked This Way Comes, assuming I'm remembering correctly that it was done by Disney), but what if Disney made all their movies more creepy like? I'm not talking about like if they just dropped the fairy tales and made slashers, I'm talking about the films they've done getting a scary spin similar to the Black Coldron. Like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, etc. How do you think your favorite Disney films/villains would turn out if Disney let themselves go into the dark side?
And for the other side of the coin, imagine horror films getting a more... Well, family friendly feel/look. The plots are still the same, but they get Disneyfied. How do you think they'd turn out? I'm personally willing to bet all my money that Jason would be a classic Disney prince(ss); lives in the forest, one with nature, seen as one of the more kinder/sympathetic of the slashers, etc (and Chucky would definitely have some Dr. Facilier thing going on with all the voodoo)
Oh I love this concept!! First of all- Disney movies getting a darker twist.
Considering most fairytales and mythologies are dark in the first place- it wouldnt be very difficult. Unfortunately though I can't think of anything original šŸ˜… Most everything has been done before with dark disney. Sorry I can't be more creative!! Haha šŸ˜…
As for Disney-Horror though!! I actually do have some things in the works for that- silly crossover things XD Like:
Hercules with Y/N as Meg, Jason as Hercules and Freddy as Hades. (Just fits so well?? šŸ˜… )
The Princess and the Frog with Y/N as Tiana, Michael as Naveen and (Yes!!) Chucky as Facilier. (This is for sure the most crack, but I love Michael and Chucky together as a concept so šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø)
The Lion King, with Y/N as Nala, Thomas as Simba and Hoyt as Scar (a la the creepy Madness of King Scar scene where Scar Hoyt will try to convince Y/N, Simba's Thomas' betrothed, to help create a 'Host of little Scar's' with him)
Apart from silly x reader nonesence- I can truly see some of these Slashers as Disney movies though!! Haha XD Maybe I'm crazy- but- Jafar's and Jasmine's whole slave girl scene is farr creepier then anything Freddy did in the first ANOES. He was still invasive in that movie of course, thats the scary thing about Freddy, but with less then 10 mins of actual screentime he was not the full-on, backwards āœŒļø sign in front of his mouth kind of sexual predator character that he builds up to. They could definetly keep the 'I'm your boyfriend now, Nancy' line considering the way Hades talks to Meg in Hercules and mayyybe the phone thing too (After all... Greasy did full on stick his hand down Jessica's cleavage in WFRR and that is a Disney movie folks XDD)- it's just the actual slashing that's posing a real issue!! XDšŸ˜…XDšŸ˜… But Freddy's method of killing can be cushioned, I guess- make it more ambiguous and fantastical? With the dream powers and all. ANOES definetly has the magical element+larger then life, handsy villain+memorable setting+memorable heroine, which seems to be a tride and true Disney movie sum XD I dunno, take this or leave this- I'm just talking! XD šŸ˜…
Also Freddy has the greeeeen element, you know?? The limeeee green?~~
... plus if ANOES is animated you can have the original cast back *cough*
AND I LOVE YOUR DISNEY PRINCESS JASON IDEA!! He is absolutely majestic enough. Imagine that's how he knows where all his victims are, though?? Squirrels and little birdies tell him XDD
Imagine that movie though!!! A backwards Slasher with Disney animation and a KILLER ZOMBIE PRINCESS. He can talk to forest creatures so you can't hide, he's hard-working so you'll never get away, and his mother is dead. Because, obviously. They're all dead.
Tumblr media
^^^^ this fucks me up (negatively) WAY WORSE THEN FREDDY'S SLIMEY TONGUE

OOOOOH!!! Roman could be Edward, Logan could be Robert, and Virgil could be Morgan, not sure who would be Nancyā€¦ maybe Emile or Remy? šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
Well to be fair I plan to take plot points so i dont have to destribute roles too badly.
My thinking is that for his birthday Roman and Remus give Patton a wishing wand because of course the imagination is as magical as Andalasia and stuff goes wrong for Patton all day because of bad decisions and arguments and stuff. He just wants Virgil and he to have a good relationship again after everything that's been going on.
So he wishes everything could be like a fairytale because that's how all happy endings happen- Roman told him so! And of course everything is peachy but he calls Thomas his son- Thomas is not in fact his son making him a fatherly figure ergo stepfather adjacent so it works.
The point is, I want them all to be high key aware that this isn't right and have absolutely no say in it, but Remus, Roman, and Patton are having the time of their lives except the twins are like uh shit we fucked up because Janus is turning into an evil power hungy sorcerer that kind of stole their throne, Patton is becoming an evil stepfather, logans becoming a dashing prince, Remus is a Hero, and Roman has become some sort of enchanted, cursed, or otherwise kidnapped prince. Oopsies?
I love the idea that Virgil is the ONLY one who can stop this. He's got the Disney Princess/Heroine role so he has to get his happily ever but he has to have the help from Thomas and Remus.

Rating Stranger Things ships and my opinions (Cannon Edition):
Iā€™ve been wanting to do this for a while now, but Iā€™m gonna rate ships and my opinions(as you can tell by the title) in a few posts! If you all have any ships you want me to rate, lmk!! Anyways Iā€™ll start nowā€¦
Mileven:
Rating: (5.5/10)
This ship switches back and forth for me tbh. Itā€™s not a ship Iā€™m too invested in, and really have never been tbh but I do think they can be cute together. I think what really makes this ship not as great, at least in my opinion, is because both Mike and El need A LOT of self work before getting in a relationship. I think we can all agree that Mike especially really needs some self work on himself before anything. I do miss S1 Mike, and I know we canā€™t hold on to him forever, but I hope we can see some improvement in S5 for both characters. They clearly have lots a trauma/mental health issues(which is completely understandable) and I think that is just what makes their relationship not the greatest. BUT if they end up together, I wouldnā€™t be too mad.
Lumax:
Rating: (8.5/10)
Honestly one of my favorite ships. I think theyā€™re really cute together and seeing Lucas happy, makes me happy. I think they both really do like, if not love each other and though of course every relationship needs some work, idk I just always found them cute and would love for them to end up together. I do hope(if they do get back together/if max ends up not šŸ’€) we get to see more of them together even if they do end up just being friends tbh. Either way, this has to be one of my favorite cannon ships.
Jopper:
Rating: (10/10)
Probably my favorite cannon ship. A lot of people may disagree because ā€œtheyā€™re boringā€ which I can see why people would think so, but idk they work well together and I love seeing both Joyce and Hopper happy. Though I can agree on wanting to see more of their relationship, I also am satisfied with what we have. I do miss Bob though, but I think I like Hopper literally 1 point morešŸ’€
Jancy:
Rating (7.5/10):
Definitely up on my fav ships, but also changes ALOT. I really loved S2 Jancy a LOT but S3 kinda idk made me lower the rating, not by much, and then S4 brought it down more. Didnā€™t help the fact Jonathan did live across the U.S from Nancy. But like I said, their ship does change a lot for me, and I think because of what was stated just a second ago, and just two more opinions(I will share in future posts) my score will stay here for now. If Nancy and Jonathan do end up together in the end, I donā€™t think I would be upset. Unless something happens that completely changes my opinion. Idk, I just think some of the actions Jonathan had this previous season and in S3 and also same with Nancy, either they need to work on their relationship/Selves or potentially not be together?? Idk I like both characters a lot, especially Nancy and I want them to both be in a happy and healthy relationship rather itā€™s them or not. And just want both of them to be happy. Idk I guess thatā€™s just my opinionšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Looking for a Strange Fanfic
Hello all, Iā€™m coming out of my comfort zone as I normally read and not write much or if at all if I can help it, far too afraid of coming across as an idiot (I am one šŸ™‚) or saying something stupid or offensive, plus Iā€™m shy ā˜ŗļø Anyway, Iā€™m still figuring out how to work this stuff out, Iā€™m old, so bare with me, Iā€™m hoping someone can help me find a fantastic Stranger Things fanfic that I read a while back.
I just know, that I was very new to Tumblr at the time, and I was in a Stranger Things phase, looking at a lot of Robin Buckley x reader fics. šŸ˜Š The problem is itā€™s been a while, I didnā€™t heart it, follow the person and unfortunately I have a bad memoryā€¦.I literally canā€™t remember who the writer is, the title of the fanfic, if the account is still active, let alone if anyone else remembers it! Or if itā€™s on another site completely. (Hopefully, I didnā€™t dream it up either šŸ˜‚)
The fanfic is set around Season 4, Episode 9. Chapter Nine: The Piggyback. I know it was a reader fic, not sure if it was male, female or gender neutral perspective. I think it may be hinted as female reader?
The reader relationship with canon characters was more platonic love. I donā€™t think there was any romance between the characters, if there is it may have been hinted slightly. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
The fanfic moments that I remember:
The reader goes with the ā€˜Phase Oneā€™ group: Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler, Robin Buckley, Dustin Henderson and Eddie Munson. Helping each one of them at certain pivotal points in the story as seen in the show, from big to little moments.
The reader goes to aid Dustin and Eddie helping them deal with demobats, basically taking the place of Eddie by being mauled (in this story he lives). The group doesnā€™t want to the leave the reader behind from being mauled but theyā€™re put in a position of being caught between a rock and a hard place. With the begrudging decision of leaving the reader for dead by Steve, Nancy, Robin, Dustin and Eddie. Everyone says goodbye to reader. Dustin and Eddie stay with reader for as long as they possibly can and have a moment with them before they depart.
Minutes, half hour to an hour or possibly hours later, the reader wakes up in agonising pain after being mauled by the demobats earlier, with memories intact knew they got left behind. Theyā€™re sad, scared and very hurt. Theyā€™re numb but can feel something gnawing at their flesh, the reader lifts their head, looks up to find a lone demobat nibbling on them, the reader manages to get it the demobat off them, they slowly get up, they do some medic stuff, try to keep their insides from falling out and start heading towards the trailer. They collapse from intense pain and blood loss, they fall through the portal with the last of their depleting strength and lands hard back into the normal realm. They pass out!
Joyce and Hopper (I think šŸ¤”) find the reader in a sorry state and take them to the hospital.Ā The group find out that the reader is alive and head to the waiting room area. They all feel guilty about reader. But reader is nice, understanding and forgives them!
Overall a gory story of going to hell and back with and for your friends, with a happy ending. Thatā€™s what I remember from the fanfic. Iā€™m sorry if itā€™s messy. I hope that helps you to help me locate it, thank you so much for your time and patience! šŸ˜
