“It Could Have Been Different - Part 2″

This is how Wakanda Forever ended, right? 

This drawing really got away from me, but it’s finally DONE.  I knew that I didn’t have it in me to draw Namor in all of his Mesoamerican finery, so I cheated and got creative with Photoshop magic.  I also thought that Shuri’s outfit should be minimalist to provide a fun contrast, but of course, she’s wearing the jade jewelry that Namor had given her in Talokan.

And in a nod to Wakandan modesty, Namor actually put on some clothes a tunic.  It is his wedding day, after all.

The after credit scene with Namor is hilarious when you look at it from the perspective of a Nashuri shipper. Namor is just trying to explain why shuri is 100% gonna hit him up again and Namora is just looking at him like ‘bro, she’s not coming back’.

Fuck unhappy endings in romance. If I wanted to read a sad romance I'd watch true crime. I love angst, but only if there's some form of a happy ending. Not that tragic endings aren't great. But there's just some characters that deserve happy endings. Some characters that have been through too much. That you love and connect too much with for it to just end like that. So no I will not be having an unhappy ending thank you. They lived, their in love and they grow old together. Period.

I have a whole series planned, and this is just a WIP, but I had to get it out of my head: what if Shuri had managed to broker a peace treaty between Wakanda and Talokan?  As you can see, both Queen Ramonda and Namor appear to have reservations, but trust me, it gets better.

I loved this beautiful Black Panther Wakanda Forever Fanart from the beautiful ship of the characters of Namor and Shuri together. Especially because in it they put Namor and Shuri kissing in different ways and that is adorable and beautiful to see seriously the truth I would like to see that in the next Black Panther movies that we see more of Namor and Shuri and more than in the we see the romance of them together

I do still really like how much Shuri and Namor mirror each other. They mirror in grief (Ryan Coogler confirmed this himself), in loss, in their love languages (acts of service), in their role and mantle... The list goes on.

It was such a big brain move to have Shuri and Namor framed as each other's equals, reflection in dare I say every way. It makes for a compelling dynamic. It makes Shuri and Namor such a good pair. As enemies, as friends, as partners, as foils...

The fact that Shuri herself realized this to the point that it was the reason why she initially hesitated to kill him in the first place even after everything... Well. It's just a testament to how strongly they related and how they're ultimately just broken leaders trying to do right by their people.
