I've noticed that despite all the crew having consistent internal monologues highlighted at some point in the anime, I can't think of one instance Luffy has had one so far (in Arlong Park arc at least)
Which leads me to think A) his head is empty there are no thoughts going on in there B) he just says exactly what he's thinking at all times or C) even they couldn't work out what was going on in Luffy's head
The funniest example of this is when the villagers come back when the Buggy pirates are defeated and ask Who are you and what happened to our Mayor????
And Nami is having the death note style monologue of weighing up every pro and con and possible outcome of what to say and then it switches to Luffy who immediately says We're pirates! :D I knocked out the mayor! :D

To let go (part 9)
-
Tumblr media
Franky crashes into a wall and falls on his face. Ah what the hell. He doesn’t understand how he could pass out and find himself crashing into walls. How the hell did he even get into a building in the first place. Where even is he. As he stands, he smells smoke. He feels the building shake a little. He looks up and-
“WHY THE HELL AM I HERE!” The shock that explodes within him leaves him shaking. He knows this place. He knows. He could never, ever forget.
Ennies Lobby wasn’t something he could simply forget.
“What the hell…” He shakes his head. What on Earth… he walks towards the big doors that he remembers lead to Lucci. Where his captain beat that asshole to the ground. He grins and feels the itch to pose. It WAS a super moment after all and deserves one. He pushes the doors open and is greeted with the sight of a body on the floor. He hesitates in shock for a moment before running forwards.
“Hey! You alright!” He calls and comes to a halt when the person turns their head towards him. That was definitely Luffy. He’d recognise him anywhere. He may not understand what’s going on right now or why, but it didn’t matter to him. He kneels down and scoops his captains small frame into his arms as carefully and gently as his huge self can. His captain is bloodied and bruised. Beaten and broken. Struggling to breathe as he lays in his arms.
“Oh… Franky. You-you look different. Though I don’t think the me who knows you would really think much about it. You look super cool.”
“And you look like you could be much better.”
“Shishi, that's true.”
“Luffy what… what’s going on here?”
“Well can’t you see? We’re in Ennies Lobby silly!” He hacks out a cough and a little blood droplet falls on his skin but he pays no mind. Though he feels as though he should.
“Are you dying right now?”
“Well no. I felt like I would have back then but no. I don’t feel anything. Since I’ve felt it already. Not that I know yet.”
“Already… so we’re… in the past?”
“Past? I don’t know. Maybe you are but I’m not. I’m exactly where I’m meant to be stuck.”
“Stuck? Can’t you get out? Where’s Chopper?”
“Chopper? Well I don’t know. There’s only ever me. Me and Lucci sometimes. Only when he shows up.” Now Franky doesn’t really understand how or why he’s here at this moment. He supposes he’s meant to save his captain. From what he isn’t sure. Himself? His mind? His memories? Maybe he’s in his mind right now. He’s never tried to repair anything in a mind before. That would be SUPER difficult.
“But… How do I help? How can I help you?”
“You can’t. This is… this is what I have to do. In order to protect you all in the future. I have to keep getting stronger. I have to keep fighting. I… can’t let anyone take you away from me. I have to be a good captain.”
“I… see. But you’re already the best captain any of us could ask for.” He whispers to him softly as the small hands that come out of his giant palms remove hair out of his young, tired face and he feels a stab in his heart. A pain. He’s… he’s never realised how small he was. How young. This is his captain. His captain. His super strong and SUPER kind captain. He loves his captain he really does.
“No I’m not. I lost two of my crew. Two, Franky. I didn’t meant to. I truly didn’t and it burns me up that I did.” The burning he feels makes Franky flinch. He burns along with him. He’s always connected to others emotions easily.
“You…” He has to swallow past the lump building in his throat to continue talking. “You can’t blame yourself for that.”
“I can. Or more… I did.”
“That’s true but you… that’s not very super.” Luffy giggles at him and it makes Franky smile a little. They talk like he isn’t bleeding out in his arms. Like it’s normal.
“It isn’t but she left us, Franky. Just like Usopp did. Right after he did. Right after I failed to be a good captain. Just like Nami has.” Franky doesn’t want to think of Sanji. He doesn’t want to think of it. “How many more of you will leave me Franky? I have to be strong enough. No matter how many times you leave, i have to be strong enough to get you back. No matter how hard. I will get my family back.”
“Lu…” and Franky can understand that. He can understand doing anything and everything to bring back your family. He can remember trying to stop them from taking Tom. He can understand but… he knows that it can’t be done alone. No one person can do it alone. “You can’t do it alone.”
“What?”
“You can’t do it alone, little brother. No matter what you think.”
“But-“
“No. You know what’s not super? Thinking you can do it all alone. You know what is super? Letting us help you.”
“But… but I’m the captain.”
“And I’m the shipwright.”
“Yes.”
“Does that make me less part of the crew? Does that make it so that I don’t care about our crew more than you?”
“No!” Luffy tries to at least sit up a little but physically cannot do it, his eyes wide and terrified. “Never! That’s not true Franky you’re awesome! You’ll be part of our crew soon! You’ll be our family!” Franky lifts his leg up to lean Luffy on it so he can sit up slightly.
“I am very super yes. So then, what do you think? What would we do in that situation?”
“Situation?”
“If one of our crew leaves? Do you think we would sit around and wait for you to go get them? Is that what happened here?”
“…no…”
“Of course not. You all TOGETHER took on the world! You burned the flag! All for Robin and she saw how loved she was. It was a SUPER moment!” He’s aware there are tears and he’s aware of the wild grin on his face. He probably looks insane. His captain, bless him, forces a hand up to wipe his face and he’s sure it leaves blood smeared on him. He doesn’t care. He SUPER doesn’t care right now. “Together, we will take on anything. We are SUPER family, Luffy.”
“Franky… but what about Usopp… that was my fault.”
“It wasn’t. Not completely.”
“But it was me who fought and…”
“Of course there’s going to be fighting. Of course there will be moments like that but… he apologised. He comes back Luffy.”
“He… he does?”
“Yeah and we’re all together. You don’t have to be afraid Luffy. You don’t have to be SUPER on you’re own. You don’t have to be. We can help you.”
“…Ok.”
“I will build you a bridge that will take us directly where we need to go. I will fix the path and make it easier for us. Everyone else will help. We can do this together Luffy. You’re never ever alone. You will never be alone again.” Maybe to this Luffy he’s lying. He’s lying because he will be. He doesn’t mean for it but he’s swears to him. He swears to the Luffy that can’t hear him. The one he’s trying to save. He’s promised. He’s sworn. He will make sure he keeps that promise.
“Ok.” Luffys tears fall like leaves in the autumn. Soundless and free. “Ok. I… don’t want to be alone anymore. I want everyone’s help.” Franky nods proudly. “It’s… it’ll be hard. In the future.”
“It super will be.”
“But all I need is you all. I will be ok.”
“That is right. Now.” He slowly stands, careful not to hurt him. “Where the hell is Chopper. Real or not you have to be looked at. I can’t take looking at you like this.” For once, Luffy grins.
“Maybe outside? There’s a lot of noise coming from out there.” And he’s right. Franky had been focused solely on Luffy and ignored every noise and shake that occurred. He laughed. “Watch out!” Luffy yells and Franky jumps out of the way as Luccis fist connects to with the concrete. Franky wastes no time to dash for the doors.
“THIS IS SUPER UNCOOL WHERE DID HE EVEN COME FROM? FUCK OFF!” He screams over his shoulder and Luffy leans his head back and laughs. As he dodges and runs and deflects the attacks, Luffy laughs and laughs and laughs. Reaching for the doors, Franky pauses before placing Luffy on the floor. The boy looks up, puzzled. Franky smirks at him before he punches Lucci squarely in the face, sending him flying through the walls. Back then he couldn’t fight him, but now he was strong enough.
“That’s for tormenting my captain you piece of shit.” He hisses. He turns to Luffys bright smiling face. There’s sparkles in his eyes when he picks him up and opens the door.
“That was so cool!” And yeah Franky thinks to himself. He is pretty super.
But he can’t be who he is without his captain and crew.

The request was:
only1nycsweetie asked: Hiii @sashi-ya IM SO EXCITED FOR YOUR WRITING AND THIS EVENT!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love your work 😁😁😁😁 If it’s not too late can I please request Trafalgar Law for Day 24 Peppermint. Female Reader.
Tumblr media
Law is being dragged to that party. Penguin and Shachi keep insisting on him to go but he, of course, prefers to stay at home having some tea, cosy and warm next to the fireplace. Law wants to be in peace, and it’s not that he doesn’t enjoy the company of his family, but that’s it. The surgeon has a limited amount of social interactions that a party surpasses.
But there he is, even if he didn’t want to go, walking next to his friends to that party.
“Law, what if you meet a beautiful lady? It’s about time don’t you think?” Shachi asks but shuts his mouth as soon as Law burns holes into him. Penguin, the most collected and mature of them, tells Shachi to stop annoying his friend and keep walking.
The snow under their feet wets their boots, and the many flakes that fall from the sky land over their hats. Red noses from the cold, and large coats that cover most of their bodies. Law, who enjoys winter, has chosen to wear a large black coat with some yellow dots in the bottom. It also has a convenient high collar so he could hide half of his face under it.
They meet with Bepo a few blocks away, and after walking ten more minutes they arrive at the party. From the windows they already can tell there are many guests inside having fun, chatting and drinking spiked eggnog. Law, of course, is about to run away whenever he notices the bustle of the party inside. But the guys pushed him violently to be the first to enter when the door opened.
“(Name) can you open the door for me, please?” Nami asks from the living room while putting plates with some snacks over the table. “Of course!” you tell her, running to the door, but laughing at a drunk Zoro fighting shirtless with Sanji in the middle of the hall.
“Stop guys!” you laugh, looking at them while opening the door.
All of a sudden someone falls over you, pinning you against the ground. You open your eyes and discover the most beautiful crystalline eyes fixed on yours. He blinks, and you blink back. Almost clear, almost silver eyes that stand out because of his tanned skin.
The magical moment perhaps lasted less than a few seconds, but they felt eternal. Or at least that's what you wished for. “I’m sorry the guys pushed me, let me help…” he says, fixing his white fluffy hat and pulling you up softly by your hand.
You notice his knuckles, letters that form the word DEATH were inked on them. But the palm was soft, soft and caring. “It’s ok… thanks” you mumble, completely in love with his facial features. He gives you a subtle smile once you are standing up and turns around to his friends.
“I swear to Cora that I’m gonna kill you” he grunts, you can see even how clenched his mandible is and even the teeth grinding. The poor man is mortified and blushed, and you think is kinda cute. The guys that come with him, ask for forgiveness and quickly join the others in the living room.
You, who joined the group a few months ago, after meeting Chopper and Usopp at uni, don’t really know who’s that dark circles, tattooed guy that Luffy won’t stop hugging him nonstop. He calls him “Torao” as well as the others, but he doesn’t seem really happy to be there… or maybe that’s just his chronic bitch face.
And because you need to know, you ask your friend about him. “Oi Usopp, who is that guy?”. “Torao? Oh, he is Luffy’s… friend? You know how Luffy befriends even the supermarket cashier” he says. And you can’t help but laugh, Luffy is a ray of light that warms everybody with her light, no wonder how “Torao” sticks to him even if his face shows otherwise.
You help Sanji and Vivi to bring more food and sit on the left spaces on the couches. You have two spots to choose, one next to Zoro and Sanji (not really the best place since you could end up being punched as a collateral damage) and one next to Penguin. Of course, you chose to sit next to Pen, because even if you don’t really know him it is better not to get a bruise from other’s fights.
“Excuse me” you say, smiling kindly. Penguin notices you wanna sit and moves to the side, pressing Law against Bepo and Shachi. “Thanks” you say, shy because you notice Law’s intense staring over you and his friend. He looks like he was reproaching him for something, as if his friend has stolen something from him…
The guys propose many party games, and you all play happily. You sometimes have to make teams, from “Pictionary” to “Carrera de Mente” and you are surprised by the quick, precise answers Law gives. Apparently, he is a very intelligent man, and also a surgeon.
And the night goes by smoothly, sometimes crossing smiles with him, sometimes even cheering up for Bepo or Shachi when Law puts down his guard and his chronic frowning gets replaced by a subtle laugh. The 00:00 is approaching and Christmas eve will soon turn into Christmas day. So, Nami had quite an interesting last game for you all to play…
“Guys, do you know 7 minutes in heaven?” she asks. Of course, you all know that, except Luffy who is informed by a quick explanation from Usopp. “Let’s make it spicy Christmas edition” she says, to cheer up for her idea since none of you have played that game since high school. You are all intrigued about her idea but either way you accept playing just to thank Nami for throwing such a good party for all of you at her house.
Nami divides you into two groups. The ones that will choose and the ones who will be chosen. You are one of those who will have to choose, so she blindfolds you and asks you to wait right there.
“Ok, (Name) you will have to choose who will spend the seven minutes in heaven with you, based only on the touch of their hands, ok? No cheating!” she says, laughing. You nod, praying for you to choose wisely…
The first hand that holds yours is rough, calloused. That’s Zoro, of course. Next… Soft, really soft. A band aid on the index finger. Sanji, the cook. Next… Warm, almost fire to the touch. Ace, Luffy’s brother. Next… Ah that one you know well, you graze his palm feeling the velvet skin. Slender fingers, oh those the surgeons have. The subtle prominences of the tattoo ink over his knuckles… Law, this is Law.
“So, (Name) who is gonna be?”. “Number four” you tell, right away. “Awesome, we have the first lucky one! Take (Name) to the laundry room, and once you are inside you can take her folds off. Please be quiet!” Name says, laughing and everybody follows.
You are taken by your hand, softly pulling from it to the laundry room. You, praying you didn’t commit a mistake enter and wait patiently -not really- until the click of the door closing finally could be heard. “Number four” passes his arms behind your head and unties the blindfold.
Your eyes meet his. Ah those silver eyes…
“So, you chose me” he says, unable to keep eye contact with you for long.
“Your tattoos caught my attention” you mumble.
The alarm of Law’s wristwatch announces the change of day. 00:00. Christmas.
Both of you look up, noticing Nami has hung a mistletoe up your heads. You can’t help but giggle, infecting Law with your happiness. He also laughs subtly, “well… this cannot be more cliche, huh?” he says, coming closer to your face. The tips of your noses touching, both smiling, subtle light filtering from under the door…
“Indeed… merry Christmas” you whisper right before your lips meet.
First a chaste kiss, then a passionate one that somehow you never knew you wanted to give and receive but that it felt like it. Those same hands that motivated this, were now around your waist, pulling you closer and closer towards his body. Your ass pressed against the washing machine, yet not for so long cause Law lifts you up, sitting you over it. You spread your legs allowing him to come closer, pulling his sweater so he could take it off.
Soon both of you were almost naked, him showing his perfect inked chest, you the sport bra you chose to wear that night since it was supposed to be a “friends night”. Law’s lips travel from your mouth to your neck, biting, kissing, licking.
Feral, needy. None of you knew you needed this, none of you would have thought you were going to act as teenagers in love.
And the session went on for more than seven minutes, but no one came to tell you your time was over… and after Law began to slip his hand on your jeans both of you stopped.
“Oi… the time…” he says, looking at his watch, realizing it has already passed 30 minutes. “Maybe we… were noisy enough and they…” you say, burying your face on the crook of his neck, mortified and ashamed. You quickly got dressed and open the door, Law with his hair ruffled, you with burning cheeks.
“Torao… I can’t believe you were so quick” Sanji jokes. “What do you mean? Wasn't it just seven minutes?” you mumble.
Everybody laughs, looking at you two with a “oh lord these kids” face. “We weren’t really playing, it was just so you could finally kiss under the mistletoe, guys. You couldn’t stop looking at each other all night” Nami says.
“Penguin, you owe me 100 bucks, I won. I told you they were going to make such a good couple”
Oh, you wanna know what happened next? Law without saying nothing but killing his friends with his look, smirked and pulled you out the house. The rest you can imagine… but let’s say Santa left your presents at Law’s house that night… 💖

Spring was nearing to an end, the cherry blossom trees were on the verge of falling and the nights were filled with the sound of rain. Days passed and your spring break ended.
The weather had been horrible, no sunny days were near. The cloudy and gloomy days were ongoing. The weather report stated that the next few weeks would be cloudy and or rainy.
Your spring break was ending and school was around the corner. For the last day of break you did nothing but stay in bed, Utahime was out visiting her family so you were left alone to sulk on what you had overheard before break begun.
Your last day was spent thinking how you’d be able to look Gojo in the eye after the information you acquired. “Who am I kidding? It’s not like he’s talking to me anyway.”
You fell asleep sulking on the fact that tomorrow was hours away.
⋆ 💌 ⋆
You walked up the steps, reminiscing on the day you overheard Utahime and Gojo’s conversation. You knew that it was something that you couldn’t bring up so casually and that it was something that have had to come from Gojo’s heart. Gojo was the only one who would’ve been able to tell you, out of respect you decided not to poke your head into business that wasn’t yours.
You reached the floor where your class was held and pursued your way to class, along the walk there Nanami had walked by your side.
“Good morning Y/N.”
“Moring Nami,” you looked up at him and nothing had changed, still the same old Nanami, “You look the same.”
“Is that supposed to be a bad thing?” Of course it wasn’t a bad thing, you hated change. You’ve always loved consistency.
“Mmm, not particularly. See you later?” Nanami nodded and you both went your separate ways.
You picked a seat and got yourself ready for the first boring day back. You dreaded this specific class, and what made you dread it even more was the fact that Gojo had the exact same schedule as you.
It didn’t help that the person who sat next to you was the person who you sought to ignore.
“Miss me?” You knew who it was without even turning your head, it was the same person who was able to get your heart pounding, the one and only stupid Satoru.
You didn’t answer him, you felt as if there was nothing to say. It’s been weeks since he ignored you. Why the sudden change?
It wasn’t that he knew you were eavesdropping, right?
“Hey,” he nudged your elbow with his “No need to ignore me.” Hypocrite much? He rested his big, fat, obnoxious, ugly, bug-looking head on his palm and looked straight at you. His crystal blue eyes were practically burning holes though your head.
⋆ 💌 ⋆
Throughout the lecture you were being bothered by Gojo, any chance he got he’d nudge your elbow and whisper things like
“Hey, are you mad at me?” “Of course I’m mad idiot, you ignored me for weeks” is what you wanted to say
“Y/N, talk to me”
“Y/N the lectures almost over”
“Y/N let’s have lunch!”
You didn’t respond, it was time for Gojo to be ignored while you did the ignoring. Noticing that you wouldn’t respond he began passing you notes, he’d write down things on sticky notes and stick them on your notebook, arm, and even head.
Most of the things he wrote were trying to get your attention, and when he got bored he began drawing penis’s on the notes and sticking them all over your arm. You gave him the side eye signifying you were done with his shit.
He looked up at you and noticed your sharp gaze, “I’m sorry.” He said as he took the sticky notes off your arm, notes, back, and backpack.
He sat quietly next to you until the lecture was over.
He noticed you weren’t packing your things, “Hey, class ended. Come on Y/N let’s get lunch.” He pulled your arm and grabbed your notebook.
“Gojo would you please leave me the fuck alone? I’m trying to work on this godforsaken project that you were supposed to help me with.” Gojo let go of your arm and flipped through your notebook.
“These note’s suck Y/N we’re never gonna get an A with this.” he looked at you innocently as you violently grabbed the notebook from his grip.
“Fuck off Gojo, I’m trying here.”
“Not hard enough.” you sighed and packed your things going into the opposite direction from him. You were sick of Gojos antics.
⋆ 💌 ⋆
You found a seat at the very back of the library, you came here often especially when it was to study. You liked how peaceful it was and how not many people were around giving you the advantage.
Just when you were about to open up your notebook you were startled when hands appeared in front of your eyes.
“Haha, so funny. I’m dying. Gojo i swear to god keep bugging me and I’ll kill you.” You later realized that Nanami’s hands were over your eyes after he let out a small laugh.
“You sound stressed.” Nanami pulled the chair beside you and sat down, “You okay Y/N?”
“Yeah sorry, this projects killing me.”
“Mhm, is Satoru not helping you?” you flinched at his name, you had given up on calling him Satoru. He broke your trust. You hoped that he’d realize you went back to calling him Gojo, right?
“Not in the slightest.”
Nanami helped you revise your notes and for the rest of the break period you and Nanami caught up. You had heard how his spring break was and how he trip to Malaysia with his family went. You and Nanami had grown closer, and this didn’t go unnoticed by a certain blue-eyed boy.
⋆ 💌 ⋆
The following day Gojo again tries to talk to you but you ignore him, you were done with the inconsistency he had with you and you hated the fact that you’d always find yourself slipping when it came to him.
“Y/N come on, why would you talk to me?”
Silence
“Y/N please.” still nothing, “I’ll work on the rest of the project if it means you’ll talk to me again.”
“Okay deal but you’re on thin fucking ice Gojo.” and again you let yourself slip.
You had thought it’d be best for you to bury what you had heard about him deep into your heart. It was something that Gojo himself would decide to tell you and if he never spoke up about it, it comes to show that he never truly cared about you. You wanted to believe he did but why was it taking him so long to fess up?
“Hey, let’s go on another date to you know.. catch up?”
⋆ 💌 ⋆
It was a Saturday afternoon, the skies were gloomy and grey and the weather was still horrible. The weather constantly put you down, you felt like it was too much of a drag to even get out of bed.
“Oh that’s right, I have a date with Gojo today.” You almost had second thoughts with the way you felt, you wanted to stay in a ball wrapped up in your sheets.
Nonetheless you still got ready, during break to keep yourself distracted you went shopping for new clothes, you wanted to give yourself a new imagine, a makeover. It was time you come out of your shell, new beginnings were approaching, you couldn’t stay the same forever. You wanted change, you almost craved it.
⋆ 💌 ⋆
It was 6:47, You waited at the train station for Gojo, you came there fairly early but you couldn’t wait to get this stupid date over with. You don’t even know why you agreed, one thing led to another and your mouth moved on its own and now you’re here.
You knew you had came a few minutes too early but you didn’t expect to wait a total of two hours. It was about to be nine o’clock and yet no sign of Gojo, not once did he text or call.
“Maybe he forgot..” you sighed and looked up at the dark cloudy skies. “Ha, who am I kidding he didn’t forget.” You knew Gojo was a player, tons of girls fawned over him and craved his attention. You knew Gojo couldn’t resist their attention. You knew that the last thing he would crave, was yours.
Still, you waited another hour. By now there were a few crowds of people but you still weren’t able to spot the blue-eyed man.
Another hour passed by and it was nearing midnight. You wanted to believed he’d show up and that he didn’t forget, but with Gojo believing was never bound to end up well.
You took a deep breathe and stood up from the bench you were hopelessly waiting at. You dragged your feet to the exit and just as you were about to take the first step leading outside your eyes met with a panting Gojo
“Y/N.”
Was your hope being tested?
“Y/N, I am so sorry. I thought our date was tomorrow and then I saw-”
You cut him off by pulling him into a hug, “Shut up Satoru.” Your watery eyes hid themselves into the hoodie he was wearing. It smelt like the hospital, you knew he was lying. He didn’t forget, he needed an excuse.
⋆ 💌 ⋆
Gojo took you to his apartment, it was late and most of the things you two could’ve done were already closing. His apartment was on one of the highest floors and the balcony he had gave you two the perfect advantage for stargazing. He set up a comfortable space for the both of you.
The stars weren’t completely visible but the dark clouds was indeed a sight to see. The silence between you and Gojo was very comforting.
“The moon looks beautiful tonight isn’t it, Y/N?”
“Huh? It looks the same as always.”
Gojo laughed, his head was now turned facing you and moments later you turned to face him. You two stared into each others eyes, you both saw sadness and regret. You both craved a happy ending.
Gojo leaned in and placed his soft lips on yours. One thing led to another leading you and him onto his bed. Tonight was the night where you and Gojo became one.
⋆ 💌 ⋆
“I’m glad we spent time together. This will be one of my favorite days for the rest of my life.”
“Stop being corny.”
“Y/N.” He looked at you deeply with his crystal eyes, the moonlight shining on his skin, the warmth of his body pressed up against yours made this night special. Sadly all good things come to an end. “I’m sick.”
“I know but it’s just a little while longer and th-”
“She really is right you know, you really are a stupid Satoru.”
“Utahime it’s not like I can fucking tell her ‘Hey I have pancreatic cancer and I’m dying!’ Do you know how stupid that sounds?”
“Satoru-”
“Fuck I know okay?”
“If you know tell her. Do you honestly think she would be okay if one day you just stopped showing up?”
“There’s no hope for us, you know that Utahime. I refuse to be the reason that she can’t love after I’m gone.”
“You’re gonna be her biggest regret if you don’t love her now.”
“Yeah, I know.” Gojo’s expression on you softened, he cried in your arms and you cried in his, knowing the person before you was soon about to be yet another faint memory.
You finally understood why the weather had been horrible, mother nature felt for you and Satoru. That night the sky cried with you both.
“How much longer do you have?”

Todoroki Family Ties (Part 9)

Fandom: My Hero Academia/Boku No Hero Academia
Warnings: pregnancy, hospital, hysteria, child abuse, Aquaphobia, upset child, abusive family, neglect
“Enji, it’s okay. Please try to calm down. Everything is going to be fine.” Ivy comforted her husband, putting a hand on his leg in an attempt to keep it from bouncing so much. “I know, I know. Just a little nervous, that’s all.” He sighed, looking down at his hands while he rubbed his palms. They were the only ones in the room right now. It was cold and white everywhere apart from the delightful little flower clusters. The atmosphere was mostly quiet except for the tapping of keyboards and damp sounds of phones ringing in some of the offices.
“I mean…. what if it’s true? How could I be so careless? I should’ve been thinking clearly. I should’ve thought more about you. Things were just finally going so right and I was so distracted by excitement. So many good things were falling in to place. It’s…. It’s all my fault that we’re here today.” He brought her hand up from his thigh and kissed her knuckles. “Please, forgive me.” All she could do was smile at how nervous he was. “Forgive you for what, baby? Nothing bad has happened. Being here is a big part of the journey. It’s where our path is decided for us. I’m excited. You should be, too.”
Enji wrapped his arms around her with a tight squeeze. “You’re right. You’re absolutely right.” She always did know how to make the best of a situation that seemed frightening. Maybe it was the way of words. Maybe it was the sweet and calm voice that did it for him. Whatever it was, he was happy to be able to access it. Having her next to him was going to make this move a lot smoother, and he couldn’t ask for anything better right now.
Their moment of peace was interrupted by a nurse dressed in lovely pink scrubs. “Todoroki?” Her voice was gentle and nice as well as her smile while she patiently waited for the two to stand and follow her. On the way to their room, Ivy glanced into the rooms they passed. In one, a couple was finding out some good news. They looked excited. In another, a woman seemed to be having a good check up. And the last one was different than the other two. A woman leaned against her sad husband as she cried. The doctor also had a sad and sympathetic look on her face. Those sure were some interesting situations to witness. Which one would represent her and Enji’s?
“This room right here. Doctor Akari will be right with you.” The two parties bowed to each other before she left and they entered the room. Enji looked around the room and sighed. It was so weird to be here again. The rooms had changed a bit since the last time he was on this same floor seven years ago. ‘Wow. Seven. I’m getting old.’ He was quickly brought back to reality by Ivy. “I’m really glad we’re here today. This is good.” Her smile brought so much ease to him. How lucky is he to have someone like her.
A quiet knock on the door gathered their attention. In walked an older woman. Her hair was still a dark brown so she couldn’t have been that much older but you could see some of the age in her kind face. There was a bit of height difference between them, her being taller than Ivy, shorter than Enji of course. She carefully closed the door behind her before setting her chart on the table and introducing herself. “I’m Dr. Akari, nice to meet you today, Mr. and Mrs. Todoroki.” She shook their hands and continued. “Amazing, I never thought I’d be meeting, let alone working for the number two hero. I guess dreams do come true.” Enji blushed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Heh. Always nice to meet a fan.”
“So. We’re here for a verification today, correct? How are you feeling? Mrs. Todoroki, is this your first?” Ivy nodded. “Yes, ma’am. I-I’ve really never been in any type of situation like this before. I’m excited and kinda nervous. Sorry.” Dr. Akari held Ivy’s hands in her own. “Sweetheart. You don’t need to apologize. Being nervous is apart of this. A big part. That’s not to say that it’ll be a bad experience. It is what you make it. And I have so much faith that this is going to be an amazing and beautiful new part of your life. You’re going to be great at this.” Her smile was warm and reassuring. Maybe everything really will be okay. “Should we get this thing started?” Ivy looked at Enji and back at Dr. Akari with a grin. “Let’s do it.”
The test and results took no time at all to come back to them. “Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Todoroki. You’re having a baby.” Excitement quickly grew on Ivy’s face, brown eyes big and full of tears when she looked at Enji who hugged her tight, kissing the top of her head. “Wonderful news! Wonderful! Wonderful!” He was so energetic and happy like a child himself. The fifth child and he’s still taken aback as if it’s his first. Ivy stayed a little calmer herself. “I’m so happy. This is everything I’ve ever wanted…. A dream come true.” The doctor hugged Ivy when Enji finally pulled away. “I’m so happy for you two. You have my full adoration. I know you’re going to be an amazing mother. Before you know it, you’ll have a quirky and spontaneous bundle of joy in your arms.” Ivy froze.
‘….Quirky?’
Enji thanked the doctor a few more times before leaving and while they walked to the car, he noticed something was off about Ivy. She kept her gaze towards the ground and hadn’t said a word since leaving the doctor’s office. After a short walk they arrived at the car, Ivy got in the passenger seat and patiently waited for Enji to get in and close his door. As soon as the car door shut, Ivy broke down hysterically… “FUCK! FUCK! FUCKING! FUCK!” Honestly, it scared him a bit. She was fine a few minutes ago and now she’s upset? “IVY? WHAT’S WRONG?” She started hyperventilating, forcing him to pull Ivy into his lap and hold her. “Breathe! Breathe. Slow down. In….. Out….” It took a minute before she could match his breathing. Eventually, they were in sync and she began to calm down and got back into the passenger seat.
“Alright. What in the hell was that?” He didn’t mean to sound irritated, he was just genuinely confused about what just manifested. “I-I’m sorry but…. I-I can’t do this. I-I-I can’t be a mom.” Tears were still falling but she tried to wipe them away as fast as they came. “Wha…. What do you mean?” His brows were furrowed and his face contorted. “Enji…. I-I was so excited at first. And, I still am in some ways…. But…. what happens when…. w-when we have this child…. and they don’t have a quirk because of me? I wasn’t even thinking about it until Dr. Akari said the word quirky and all of a sudden it hit me. My child is going to be weak because of me…. They’re going to hate me. I know you want a strong child with a strong quirk but I-…. I-I can’t give you that.”
To be honest, he hadn’t thought of it either. But that was the old him anyways. He’s grown since then. Quirks aren’t everything to him anymore. Just her. Just his family. No matter what skills they had or didn’t have. He loves them in every aspect. “Ivy…. I don’t need you to give me that. I want you to be happy and healthy. I want to have this child with you no matter what happens. As long as you’re both okay, that’s what’s important. I know how I used to be. And I’m still sorry and trying to atone for it. I’m learning and growing every day because of you. I appreciate and love you so much.” His large hand held her cheek as he searched her eyes for a sign that she understood him.
A wave of safety washed over her as she leaned into his hand. So much calm after one random storm. “You’re right. You are learning. You have grown. And I am beyond proud of you. I’m sorry for my outburst. It wasn’t all about you. Being quirkless has always been a problem for me. Way before me and you. You’ve improved in ways that…. he never did.” Her gaze shifted to her feet when thoughts and feelings she had long ago returned. “Who?” When her gaze came back her eyes were brimming with tears of numb pain.“My dad….”
From a very young age, Ivy was victim to some of the most impactful abuse that young girls have suffered for centuries. Familial. Being the outcast, the one child that didn’t make the cut. Worked hard and reprimanded for occurrences out of her power. Her power. The center of everything and the reason for her suffering. More commonly known as a quirk, her ability should have been water manipulation. It ran in her family. They’ve always been connected to it all. Oceans, lakes, rain, dew, snow. A gene for telekinesis brought in from one of her great great grandparents but no one remembers which one.
“LET’S GO, LET’S GO, LET’S GO!” Nami James Emaraki, Ivy’s father, blew hard into his whistle. It’s not that common for a ten-year old to have to do burpees and laps on a Saturday morning. Especially since she’s not training for anything. “YOU SLACK AND I SWEAR ITS ANOTHER TEN LAPS!! YOU ALREADY MISSED BREAKFAST SINCE YOU WANNA SLEEP IN, I’M PERFECTLY FINE WITH YOU MISSING LUNCH CAUSE I’LL STILL EAT BUT YOU WON’T!!!!” He wasn’t kidding either. That threat wasn’t the least bit empty.
“I-” Her foot slipped and caused her to face plant. She lifted her head and a stream of blood ran from her nose. “OW! UGH! H-Help, please!” Rolling his eyes, he stomped over to her, grabbing a fist full of her hair. “Sure, I’ll help you. Usually salt water helps with things like that. Let’s get you a lot of salt water.” He looked at the pool and smiled. “How about 10 ft?” Panic flooded her entire body so quickly it almost made her dizzy. Or maybe that was from the quick face plant and loss of blood.
“N-No! Please!” Ignoring her, he began dragging her to the deep end of their pool. “I’m so sorry, I can keep going! I can keep going! Daddy I can keep going!” She couldn’t help but cry and scream for forgiveness because he always had such a terrible punishment for her. The closer they got the more she struggled. “DADDY PLEASE! PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE NO! NO-” He tossed her in with a grunt and picked up his stopwatch. “Hurry up. You don’t wanna drown, use your quirk to get out!”
But that was the issue. Ivy was quirkless. It never showed up when it was supposed to. They hoped she was a late bloomer but it wasn’t looking very hopeful. Her father and uncle did everything they can to bring it out of her. They were so close they moved into two joint houses for each of their families, between the two homes, a facility with a large indoor pool that they used to coach swimming and have opened for water sports and activities. Every child in their family has used this pool to get better at their quirks. But Ivy was the only one forced into fearing it, unlike her siblings and cousins.
The eldest children were Ivy’s older twin brother and sister who were six years older than her, as well as a male cousin four years older than her. They were taught everything with care and detail. How to swim, how to make waves, etc. Next, her cousin that was but a few months older than her. He also experienced the life of being the middle child like her. Ivy was born next. Treated like all the other kids until she reached the age where quirks usually had already appeared in their family.
Four. When the family pediatrician attempted to explain that her quirk would never come in due to an extra joint in her foot, that of which the absence of would determine if the power would ever come in. Her father was so upset when they got home, he grabbed her by the ankles and dunked her in the water a few times before dropping her in the 5 feet. Her mother stood and watched as paramedics revived Ivy, pretending very well to be concerned.
Yet, here he is now. Watching her sink as she loses oxygen. Destined to be a corpse at the bottom of the pool. But just before tragedy could wrap her up in its claws, her father washed her back onto the side of the pool with a wave. There she laid in a puddle, lungs full of water. “So damn dramatic.” Unrightfully annoyed, he preformed mouth to mouth and saved her, smacking her when she accidentally spit up water in his face. “You’re a disgusting excuse for a daughter. But just you wait, you’ll be a hero soon enough. And you’re gonna be supporting your family after we’ve been so supportive of you. Get your ass up and come inside when you’re through acting like something wrong with you.”
Nami didn’t even look back after he started walking way. He didn’t care if she ever got up. To him, she has two options in life. Become a top pro-hero. Or die. And some days, she wished he wouldn’t save her. Some days she wanted to stay at the bottom of that pool knowing she wouldn’t be able to breathe. Ivy couldn’t help but wonder, what’s the point of living if your entire family is already disappointed in you?
During lunch, her mother Eimi asked her about today’s training. “How did it go today, Ivy?” She smiled, looking between her and her father. Ivy didn’t want to answer so she kept her mouth shut. “Ivy, your mama is talking to you. Answer her.” His fist slammed down on the table. The back of her throat burned from swallowing her need to cry. “Ivy? Answer her, girl, can you not hear?!” She flinched at him raising his voice. With a quiet sigh, Ivy spoke, carefully trying not to let her voice crack. “It w-was fine, mommy. But….” She couldn’t take it anymore. She had to speak up.
“B-BUT DADDY TRIED TO KILL MEEEEE!!” Cries broke out of her throat. “CONTROL YOUR DAMN VOLUME RIGHT NOW!” He tried to grab her arm but she ducked out of the way. “MAMA I FELL AND HURT MY FACE AND MY NOSE WAS BLEEDING AND HE THREW ME IN THE POOL AND ALMOST LET ME DROOOOOOWN!!!!” Tears dripped from her chin as she trembled and sobbed. Eimi just looked at Nami and shrugged. “Well, Ivy. Maybe if you stopped pretending your quirk isn’t there, you could have saved yourself. So I don’t want to hear it.” Ivy was horrified and offended by every word out of her mother’s mouth. “WHAT? BUT MOMMY-” “THAT’S ENOUGH! YOU’RE GOING TO YOUR ROOM!” Before she could run, he grabbed her and carried her to her room as she struggled. “I HATE IT HERE! I HATE IT, HATE IT, HATE IT!!” Once the door slammed close, she hugged one of her stuffed animals tight and cried. And cried. And cried. Until she cried herself to sleep.
Ivy had ever only known Hell on Earth. Her siblings before her were treated with respect. Even her baby brother and even younger baby sister got to see the best from their parents. Ivy was the one that they wanted to depend on. Their goals for her were to make her one of the most famous Pro-Heroes ever. Then use her paycheck to further their lives. She would put them on the map and be their little bank. But the older she got, the more she fought back. Until finally they realized she’d never be able to help them anyways.
Ivy was shunned and kicked out of her home. Forced to learn the way of the world. She made her way through three nice jobs and even college. Out of all the smoke and fire, she emerged through her trials and tribulations and began working at Endeavor’s agency. Her hardships didn’t end there but shortly after, everything started to work out for her.
Her past was filled with evil but it never influenced her to become a bad person even after never getting her quirk. She realized that quirks never really mattered. It was the love that she never received. Love that she’ll be giving to this baby. She wouldn’t be able to live with herself if her child ever had to go through what she went through.
The world outside was so beautiful as they drove home. She looked at Enji and smiled. He sparkled in the sunlight. Those beautiful blue eyes focusing on the road while he held her hand up and kissed it. “You’re gonna be okay, Ivy. I love you so much. You’re going to be a great mom. And, I hope i can be a great father. On the fifth try.” The reassurance made her grin. “Thank you, Enji. Thank you.”

“With Teeth” Chapter One
((click here to read on ao3!!!!))
Izaya is in the middle of this third all-nighter in a row, buried in his files and flicking back and forth between tabs to confirm and add to his information. He's going to send this to Shiki as soon as it's done, and then he's finally going to get some well-deserved rest. In all fairness, no one is making him work so tirelessly, aside from himself. He leans back in his chair, lifting his arms above his head, a soft noise of satisfaction leaving him when his joints pop. A low growl comes from the direction of the couch, but Izaya doesn't turn his gaze away from his screen.
“You're in my home. Feel free to leave if you're so bothered by me,” Izaya calls to the looming figure. Another growl is sent his way, this one louder than the last. Izaya finally lifts his head and smirks up at the monster occupying his space.
No one else would be able to recognize Heiwajima Shizuo like this, but it's becoming a regular sight for Izaya, who never hides his disgust or enjoyment at seeing Shizuo in his true form. Hollywood has really romanticized werewolves in the past few years, painting them as large, overgrown puppies, but Shizuo is anything but romantic right now, his body stretched and twisted, his skin dark and leathery, covered by wisps of wiry fur in places. Shizuo has so many sharp, jagged teeth they can't fit entirely in his mouth, and he's leaving drool in his wake, but Izaya will only have Namie clean it in the morning. She'll complain, but she doesn't often ask too many questions.
“What is it? You look angry,” Izaya drawls, making a show of giving Shizuo his full attention. Shizuo snarls at him, more drool escaping his mouth. “Could it be the bloodlust is worse than normal tonight? How tragic for you.”
It's been this way for about half a year now, ever since Shizuo was bitten. Shizuo came to Izaya, defeated, overwhelmed with the desire to kill, to maim, his violence only growing more and more as the full moon approached. Izaya took pity on him, helped the monster when he really didn't have to, but Shizuo refuses to look at it as anything resembling benevolence. Izaya's potion helps keep Shizuo in his own mind, and it stops him from acting on his desires, but it can't do much to stop the desire to bite.
Izaya is only a witch, after all, not a miracle worker.
“You could always go out, you know? Bite some poor bystander. You'd bring me more business, anyway.” He laughs delightedly when Shizuo lunges at him, and he moves swiftly out of the beast's way, lifting a hand up and clenching his fingers. Shizuo's body straightens immediately, his arms snapping flat as his sides, powerless against Izaya's magic. His expression doesn't change, however, and Izaya loves knowing how much Shizuo wants to kill him right now, how Shizuo wants nothing more than to tear out Izaya's throat with his jagged teeth. “Relax, would you? The night is young, and you've gone through this too many times to lose yourself now.”
Shizuo relaxes a little at the reminder that if he kills anyone, even Izaya, it's only proving what a monster he's become. There's a haunted look in his eyes, a certain dark shadow that says he's gone through every stage of grief already and settled on helpless, begrudging acceptance. Shizuo needs Izaya now, and Izaya is completely in love with it.
“Good boy, Shizu-chan. We'll civilize you, yet,” Izaya purrs, releasing Shizuo from his grip. Shizuo huffs before going back to pacing a hole in the floor, and Izaya returns to his desk, moving the mouse so the screensaver disappears.
Business as usual.
***
Six months ago, Izaya was completely fed up.
His enjoyment with his work was stagnating, and he was more bored than he'd ever been. Worse than that, Shizuo was becoming closer and closer with that woman, and he was paying less and less attention to Izaya, not rising to the bait Izaya would set out. It got to the point that Shizuo walked past Izaya on the street one day, not even bothering to look at him, and that was the final straw for Izaya, who refused to be ignored. He made some calls, opened old wounds, arranged a meeting.
It took less than half a day to ruin the rest of Shizuo's life. How laughable.
After the initial bite, given by some higher end Yakuza who held a personal grudge against Shizuo, or at least against his reputation, Izaya decided to sit back and wait. He knew Shizuo would come to him eventually, as all monsters inevitably did. Shizuo lasted longer than Izaya thought he would, to his credit, but he grew weaker, more haggard-looking as the days progressed. Rumors were flying around the city, most of them speculating whether or not Shizuo had some sort of terminal illness, and days went by where the monster wasn't seen at all, and Tom and Vorona were handling work without him.
Finally, a few days before the next full moon, there was a soft knock at Izaya's door, far too gentle to be Shizuo, but Izaya knew it was Shizuo even before he answered. Shizuo's eyes were dark rimmed, like he hadn't slept in days, and there was something about him that made him seem almost helpless, an adjective Izaya never once thought to apply to Heiwajima Shizuo.
“What did you do to me?” Shizuo asked before Izaya could say anything.
“What are you talking about?” Izaya replied, his voice smaller than he would've liked. It was a little unsettling, seeing Shizuo so weak, so sickly. Shizuo was always able to surprise Izaya, but this was something different entirely.
“You fucking know what!” Shizuo shoved Izaya then, and his usual strength was there, the force of it knocking Izaya clear across the room. He caught himself before he could hit the floor, and he reminded himself no matter what Shizuo looked like in the moment, he was still a formidable predator, more of a monster than ever before. A knife was in Izaya's hand before he was even aware of drawing it. Shizuo's dark eyes moved from Izaya's face to the knife, then back up.
“You know what,” Shizuo said again, and his face crumpled in pain and fear. Izaya lowered the knife, fighting back a smile as he observed his mortal enemy.
This was more like it.
“I haven't even seen you. I haven't been to your city. Why are you here?” Izaya asked, and Shizuo growled before marching forward, his teeth bared.
“What the fuck was that guy? What did he turn me into? I know you sent those assholes after me.” Shizuo looked down at his hands, clearly fighting with himself on whether he should admit any of this to Izaya. “The dreams, the blood— fuck. Izaya, what did you do to me?”
Izaya put his knife back in his pocket then, unable to stop the smile from spreading across his face. Shizuo noticed it, snarled openly, but otherwise did nothing.
“You came to me,” Izaya said as he moved towards Shizuo. “Why would I ever help you?”
Shizuo's expression hardened, but his eyes remained just as helpless. He seemed to be struggling to answer, but Izaya knew already. All monsters made their way to him eventually. It was instinctual, just something they knew to do.
“Congratulations, Shizu-chan,” Izaya said, and his smile grew into a leer. “You're less human now than you've ever been.”
***
Izaya groans as he stretches again, rolling his shoulders. They're stiff from being in the same hunched position so long, but he's finally done with work, and he's looking forward to sleeping the rest of the day. He might even call Namie and tell her not to bother coming in. He closes everything and turns off his computer, his attention caught by the brightening sky, hues of pink and gold beginning to fill his apartment. He looks over at Shizuo, who is back in his human form, just sitting in a heap of limbs on the hard floor, panting heavily.
“Oh, good, you're back to normal,” Izaya says. “Now get out.”
“Give me a fucking minute!” Shizuo snaps, his voice strained. The transformation is incredibly painful, Izaya knows. Shizuo isn't his only werewolf client, after all, but he's the only one who insists on making Izaya babysit throughout every full moon. Shizuo is rightfully terrified of what he is and what he could do. Izaya just enjoys seeing him suffer.
“Fine, but you could at least gather yourself quietly. Listening to you pant and whine is giving me a headache,” Izaya says, leaning back in his chair and grinning when Shizuo glares over at him.
“Just make yourself a healing potion then, witch.”
It's said like a slur, wielded in a way meant to offend. Izaya is used to this by now, as he's been aware of what he is for most of his life. Creatures come to him, needing help, but fearing him. Witches are rare, even more so in the human realm, and the others who exist here aren't as powerful as Izaya is, aren't able to provide the same services. Most of Izaya's clients hate him and would like to see him dead.
Par for the course, really. At least most of them are upfront about it.
“I might just do that! As soon as this rotten, smelly monster is out of my space, I might just do a lot of things.” Izaya stands, moving towards Shizuo and kicking his pile of clothes towards him. “Get dressed, and get out, before I send you flying out the window.”
The hatred is palpable between them, just as it's always been, and Shizuo isn't looking at anything but Izaya as he slowly begins pulling his clothes back on. They're in a truce of sorts, Shizuo needing Izaya too much to kill him, and Izaya taking pleasure in Shizuo's misery. They'll still fight in public if they cross paths, but here, behind closed doors, Izaya knows Shizuo is in the palm of his hand.
They both know it.
Shizuo finishes getting dressed and limps towards the door, his mind a whirlwind of angered static that he seems to be projecting. He barely manages to cross through the threshold before Izaya slams the door behind him. Izaya listens to Shizuo's steps fading, and he can't help the laughter that spills from his lips, growing louder and louder until it has Izaya falling to the floor, holding his sides as he cackles with delight.
For the first time in his life, Izaya loves what he is.
***
It started early, too early for Izaya to truly remember the finer details. He had dreams, and then he saw things. It was chalked up to an overactive imagination, especially since he was always reading, very advanced for his age. He'd say things, and his parents would compliment him, would tell him how smart he was. For a while, he believed them, and he loved the attention he got, would strive to do even better and learn even more, but it only lasted so long. His parents started spending less and less time at home, and Izaya went from staying with his grandparents to occasionally having them look in on him. He spent the majority of his time alone, and that's when the dreams turned into reality.
Spirits would visit him, wanting help, and they'd terrify him, would clatter about the house and lurk around corners, waiting to be acknowledged and saved, and Izaya didn't know what the hell he was supposed to do for them. For a while, he tried to hide from them, would tune them out by blasting the TV as loudly as it would go. The neighbors started complaining about the noise, and after a stern phone call from his parents, Izaya was forced to sit on his own and listen to the voices of the dead.
After the twins were born, and his parents were around more, Izaya started to relax a little. It was better having other people around, though the spirits remained. Gradually, his parents started spending more time away from the house again, and soon enough, Izaya was left to care for his baby sisters. He was thankful they couldn't seem to see the spirits that lingered around the house.
The first time someone referred to Izaya as a witch, it was spat in a derogatory way, definitely meant to harm. It was an older spirit, a man frustrated with Izaya and his inability to help. The man couldn't accept he was dead, and he couldn't seem to figure out how to pass on. He took all of his rage out on the house, slamming cabinets, breaking things, and the twins were crying in fear, toddlers by that point. They couldn't see the ghost, but they could see their belongings being tossed around and smashed. Izaya tried to calm them down, which only upset the man even more.
“LISTEN to me, you fucking witch!”
Until then, Izaya had never really had a term to describe himself. He knew he was different, but he never knew why. He put the twins in their room, telling them to play with their toys, and he moved to the man's side, his jaw set in irritation.
“What did you call me?”
“A witch! All of you are scum, but I'm stuck with a little brat on top of it.” The man looked at Izaya with such disgust, such judgment. Izaya was so very tired of being looked at that way. He found himself lifting his hand, and a moment later, the man was writhing on the floor in complete agony, tears streaming down his transparent face. Izaya watched him for a long time, a small, satisfied smile on his face as the man pleaded with him to stop, please, stop.
“Let's try this again,” Izaya said, kneeling down. “Ask me for my help, and I'll see what I can do.”
Something changed that day. Izaya was fed up being stuck trying to care for everyone. He poured himself into research, learned to use his abilities, and while the humans in his life seemed to understand him less and less, the other world delighted in him. Word of his power spread, and soon enough it wasn't just the dead coming to see him, but the undead as well.
“I just think it's so cool!” Shinra said one day. The sun was setting outside, lighting the empty classroom in an orange tint. Shinra's glasses reflected the sunset, hiding his true expression. “I don't see why you wouldn't want everyone to know.”
“Well, you spend all your time spouting nonsense about Celty, and everyone just thinks you're insane. I'd rather not be lumped in with you,” Izaya said, holding a dead plant in his hand. With a thought, he brought it back to life. “Stop letting these die, would you? It's messing with our data.”
“Sorry, I get distracted!” Shinra scribbled something down on his notepad and then looked up at Izaya once more. “I'm glad you told me, Izaya-kun.”
Izaya shrugged. “You live with a fairy. You already know about the other world. It's not like we're bound together in secrecy.”
“But who did you get it from? It's genetic, isn't it? Your parents—“
“Have no idea, and I'd like to keep it that way. My sisters don't know, either. I seem to be the only one who has these abilities.”
“Your grandparents?” Shinra asked.
Izaya shrugged again. “As I said, it seems to be only me.”
“Hmm.” Shinra put his finger to his chin in thought. “It's possible it skips generations. If magical abilities passed down continuously, it wouldn't be as rare as it is.”
“Lucky me,” Izaya murmured, setting the flower pot down with the others.
“Yes, lucky you,” Shinra said wistfully. “I'd give anything to be involved in the same world as my Celty.”
“She's hardly herself at all without her head,” Izaya reminded him. “If she was complete, she wouldn't be sticking around with humans.”
“Oh, I know. If I have my way, she'll never have her head.”
Izaya snorted, a smile appearing on his face. Shinra was the only person he knew that could say such selfish things as if they were normal.
“You want her to be incomplete for the rest of her existence, and you're calling it love. You're twisted, Shinra.”
“Being incomplete with someone else is better than being complete alone!”
“It's not, and you're an idiot.”
“Well, either way,” Shinra said, and he put an arm around Izaya, who shrugged him off. “Celty wants to meet you! She can't believe I know one of the few remaining witches!”
“Ugh.”
“And I want you to meet my other friend! He's not magic or anything, but he's insanely strong. To think I'd ever have such extraordinary people in my life!”
Izaya tuned him out, thinking to himself that Shinra was enough for him. The less people he had to explain himself to, the better.
***
Izaya wakes much later, face-down in his pillow. He groans, rolling over, his entire body sore. He looks at his clock and finds he's been asleep most of the day.
“Welcome back,” says an irritatingly familiar voice in the corner. Izaya groans again and covers his face with his pillow.
“Why're you here?” he slurs, his voice thick with sleep. “The sun's up.”
“Yes, but this corner is dark enough. Your blackout curtains hide the worst of the sun. I'm here for my usual potions.”
“It's been a month already? I've lost track of time,” Izaya says, finally looking over at Tsukumoya. The vampire looks amused, as always. And far too smug.
“You'd think it would be easier to keep track of, seeing as I always come the day after your dog stays the night,” Tsukumoya lilts. “Am I correct in assuming you stayed up all night with him again?”
“You make it sound like we were having fun.” Izaya grumbles and rolls out of bed, padding towards the corner where he keeps his finished potions. He lifts a box and hands it to Tsukumoya.
“But it is fun for you, isn't it? Your dream come true, Heiwajima Shizuo at your mercy.”
“I'm really not in the mood to deal with you today. My patience is already thin because of Shizu-chan,” Izaya warns, and Tsukumoya laughs at him. The vampire has always been good at getting under Izaya's skin, seems to think of Izaya as a toy of sorts.
“Fine, fine. I'll leave you be until next month. Of course, if you'd like to chat sooner, you can always reach me.”
Izaya waves him away, and Tsukumoya disappears, probably to go back to his usual lurking. Yawning, Izaya considers going back to sleep, but he's already wasted too much time. His stomach rumbles, reminding him of its existence, and he frowns to himself, considering that Namie isn't here to cook for him, and he has no desire to cook for himself.
“Takeout it is!” he says aloud, dressing hurriedly. He's reading over food options near him on his phone when his it rings, obscuring his search. He rolls his eyes as he accepts the call, making his way out of his apartment as he does so. “Yes?”
“Izaya-kun! How was Shizuo-kun's transformation last night?”
“Same as it always is,” Izaya says, pulling his hood up as he steps outside. It's a gloomy day, rainy and chilly. He zips up his coat. “Why don't you talk to him about it yourself, Shinra?”
“Believe me, I'd love to, but he still doesn't want anyone to know. He hasn't even talked to Celty about it!” Shinra sighs loudly, and there's rustling on his end, like he's working as he talks. “I can't believe he's actually confiding in you about it. I'm his friend!”
“I'd hardly call it confiding. He doesn't care what I think, and that's all. Besides, he knows I can help him.”
“I'm sure you're making it especially hard on him. Please, pretend to be a kind person, for once, and take care of him. Celty is worried about him. She's known what happened since he was bitten, but she doesn't want to invade his privacy.”
“Oh, invade his privacy all you want. Take it from me, it's lots of fun.” Izaya splashes into a puddle, his mood brightened by Shizuo's misery. Of course the monster would isolate himself from his little friends. Shizuo has always had a habit of making himself be alone, even when he had plenty of options.
“I'm still suspicious that you had something to do with this. It's going a little too well for you, isn't it?”
“Shinra, you give me far too much credit. As much as I wish I could be the mastermind you think of me as, I'm not involved in everything. Shizu-chan has enemies who aren't me, and some of them are incredibly powerful. It was only a matter of time before he pissed off the wrong person.”
“Right, right. You're just the worst person I know, so it makes sense to blame you. Anyway, call me if anything changes! I'll tell Celty you were as secretive and unhelpful as always.” Shinra hangs up then, and Izaya puts his phone back in his pocket, his mood still too good to be sullied.
He decides to go to a local Taiwanese place for takeout. As much as he would love to pop into Ikebukuro, he still has work to do, and he slept most of the day away. Takeout bag in hand, he skips through the streets, waving happily at those who stop to stare at him. He splashes through a few more puddles on the way, thinking to himself that he can't remember the last time he felt this good.
As he exits the elevator to his floor, he scoffs at the sight before him, reaching into his pocket to finger the handle of the knife hidden there.
“Why are you here again, Shizu-chan?” he asks.
“'S getting worse,” Shizuo grumbles, lifting his head to glare up at Izaya. He's sitting in front of Izaya's door, his knees pulled up to his chest, his expression defeated.
“It isn't getting worse, you idiot. You're half a year in.” Izaya releases his knife, realizing Shizuo isn't here to fight him. He pulls his keys from his pocket, unlocking the door and leaving it open behind him as he waltzes inside.
“It's fucking worse!” Shizuo barks, following after Izaya, as always. “I almost killed a man today!”
“You say that like it's surprising. You're always almost killing someone.”
“Flea!” Shizuo shouts, gripping the counter as he leans over it and snarls at Izaya, who gives him an extremely unimpressed look. “I wanted to tear a man's throat out with my teeth, and you're telling me it's normal!”
Izaya rolls his eyes. “I didn't say that. I said your condition isn't worse. I can't rid you of the bloodlust entirely. You know that already.”
“It's never been this bad before!”
“It has.” Izaya sighs and pulls his soup dumplings out of the takeout bag. “Shizu-chan, you can't be this stupid. You're a werewolf. You're always going to want to bite people. It's part of the experience.”
Shizuo growls at him, his grip splintering Izaya's counter.
“Besides, I don't know what you expect me to do. Even if it was getting worse, which it's not, there wouldn't be anything I could do,” Izaya continues. “I give you the tools you need every month to control yourself. If you can't do it, it's your problem.”
Shizuo roars in rage, so loudly the windows tremble. Izaya merely keeps pulling his containers out of the takeout bag, practically ravenous by this point. He forgot to eat dinner the night before, and he slept through breakfast and lunch. He pauses as a sudden thought occurs to him.
“Have you eaten today?” he asks.
Shizuo is breathing hard, clearly trying to reel himself in. He still bares his teeth at Izaya when he replies with a strangled, “no.”
“You're an idiot. I keep telling you, but it appears your skull is too thick to listen to me. You're not getting worse, you fucking neanderthal. You're just hungry.”
Shizuo opens his mouth to argue, and Izaya sends a dumpling soaring across the space between them so that it lands on Shizuo's tongue. The beast blinks in surprise, seems to consider spitting it out, and then chews thoughtfully, seemingly placated for now.
“I hope it burns your tongue off,” Izaya lilts. “Now get out.”
Grumbling loudly, Shizuo turns around and stalks towards the open door.
“By the way,” Izaya calls, “try not to bother me every time your stomach growls. I hate you, you know?”
“As if I like talking to you!” Shizuo snaps back.
“Yes, but you have to, don't you?” Izaya purrs. “You need me.”
Shizuo slams the door behind him, so hard it cracks the frame, but it hardly matters. Shizuo didn't have a retort, because there's really nothing left to say.
Izaya has finally won.

Breaking Boundaries
Tumblr media
First oneshot for my first post here and there’s no better ship/pair i’d rather write than Nico Robin & Roronoa Zoro
Things were lively on the Sunny Go as usual. Franky was upgrading the canons on the ship, Chopper and Ussop were being...well...being them as usual. Luffy was bugging Sanji in the kitchen asking/whining when was lunch going to be served and in his words.
"foooooooood SANJIIIIIIIIIIIII!!" the famous straw hat captain yelled from the other side of the kitchen.
"SHUT UP YOU RUBBER GLUTTON"
Nami was focusing on the weather and the sea behavior, navigating the crew to their next destination whilst Brook was beside her asking if he could see her panties in which he received a punch that sent him flying through the ship's walls. Thus starting a fight with the shipswright that was just beside the wall that was destroyed.
"WATCH WHERE YOU LAND ASSHOLE!!!" Franky screamed out.
"Yohoho!! don't get your panties in a twist Franky-sannn"
Aside from all the chaos was the crew's infamous swordsman, Zoro whom was doing impossible training once again. Lifting weights that no humans could ever lift.
"890...891...892.."
He grunts out in training, muscles flexing, his body coated with sweat. He did this everyday at the same spot the moment the sun starts to rise until Sanji calls them for lunch. Not far from the green-haired man.....well in fact maybe 5metres away from him was the ship's beautiful archeologist Nico Robin. Seated as usual on her umbrella armchair with a book on hand.
She was wearing her spaghetti strap purple tank top that did no effort to cover her large breast and a very small tight fitting jean shorts. It was a very hot day at that, she had put her hair up in a ponytail which was rare because usually she prefered her hair down. Even though it was scorching hot outside and she could just retreat into her room where it would definitely be cooler but it was out of habit that she situated herself here when she read.
She’s elated to be where she was right now. Doing what she loved and surrounded by nakamas that accepted her, cared for her, protected her and loved her. She would give her life 100 million times over for the Straw Hats without a second thought. Back at Enies Lobby she was afraid that that they would find her a burden, a thorn in the flesh even when they proved that they will fight the whole world fearlessly for her. Comparing then and now she was flabbergasted at how many things have changed. Everyone has gotten stronger, more matured. The bond Robin shared with the crew was strong that not even God can sever it, that she was certain for.
Her mind wandered everywhere and anywhere, she wasn't even focusing on the book she was reading anymore. She summarised everything in her head with a content look on her face.
The sounds of Zoro's grunting and counting snapped Robin back to reality, her eyes diverted to the green haired crew member. Her eyes shamelessly stared at his god like body that was now glistening in sweat due to the monstrous work out he does everyday. His muscles was amazing, his abs was rock hard and his chest looked like steel plates had been implanted in him. His face was fierce and focus, never losing concentration.
Zoro was a very very veryyy handsome man, that was what Robin had always thought even when she first joined the crew. She knew he was a very powerful man and a dangerous one at that, the crew was blessed to have such interesting and indestructible members and Roronoa Zoro was one of them. He had many cons to him...well according to Nami and Sanji's list. He sleeps too much, he was too direct with his words so more often than not he always comes off as an "asshole". He drinks too much when he isn't sleeping or training and to top the icing on the cake, he couldn't find his way to the ship's toilet even if his bladder depended on it.
Robin however found him to be interesting as hell and even charming most times. How he was always the calm one amongst all of them and he was a very wise man that stick by his words. He was a strong man with honour and pride. He will no doubt be the type to keep a promise even if will be his demise. Robin didn't know she had a type until she met Zoro, the more time she has with the swordsman the larger her attraction for him grew.
Having a lover has never came across her mind, not that she wasn't interested in intimate relations before, it just never came up until she found herself glancing at him more than she should. Also the automatic position of their area happened to be beside each other every day so there was not much of a choice in that matter. She snapped back yet again to reality still staring at the handsome swordsman, she wouldn't admit it but internally she was swooning over his very very shredded body.
"Oi oi Robin, your staring is bothering me. You should read at your room today, your face is red from the weather right now."  Zoro called out to Robin who was unintentionally caught gawking at him although being the dense man he was, he of course would have not though that she was checking him out.
Zoro had placed all this training equipments down and was now walking towards the self fantasising historian that still had her eyes glued onto him. He walked a few steps towards Robin and stood beside her, taking her lemonade drink right from her side table and gulping all of it down with greed-thirst sounds.  This was another normal thing between them, she would have her drink but she would never drink any of it because before she could, he would always finish it up unless she had coffee. He never did understood how she could swallow the damn bitter beverage. She also was starting to think that subconsciously she would bring the drink for him instead of her.
"Zoro-kun. Sorry for bothering your training  but I don't mind a little heat today and besides the weather has been quite gloomy these past weeks, don't you agree?" Robin held her face with her palm, her usual signature posture. She now sat upright never breaking her stare.
"Rain or shine won't hinder me from my training." Zoro stated simply.
"Fufufu, yet my staring has disturbed your workout?" Robin teased him.
"Tch. You've been doing that a lot lately woman." he turned his head away, folding his arms. Ever since the crew reunited after being seperated for two years, Zoro had noticed Robin's change the most. She had gotten stronger, wiser and more matured in many different aspects.
She would tease him or outsmart him in their little chats which irate the man but in a good way.
"I was thinking if I could company you on watch today if you don't mind." Robin asked hopefully.
Zoro turned his head back to her "Sure. You can do can do whatever you want woman. Let's go to the kitchen already, bet that love cook will start yelling for us anytime soon." he was already walking towards the kitchen but in a pace that told her that he would be walking with her and not just leaving her like that. She smiled and followed him.
"ROBIN CHWANNN! You're looking veryyyyy SEXYYY TODAY!! The lunch I have prepared for you today is just as hot and spicy as you are!!!" Sanji greeted Robin that had walked in with Zoro whom by the way Sanji had not scoop his share onto a plate yet.  Robin smiled at the flirtatious cook.
"That's very kind of you cook-san, this looks delicious. As always your culinary skills are impressive." Robin replied politely, frankly only Robin would acknowledge Sanji's aggressively manic compliments.
"Tch. Stupid love cook." Zoro muttered under his breath which didn't went unheard by the cook of course.
"What??? YOU WANNA GO ASSHOLE?"
"I WON'T WASTE MY TIME WITH THE LIKES OF YOU"
"YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS THAT ROBIN IS COMPLIMENTING ME INSTEAD OF YOU"
"WHY WOULD I BE JEALOUS OF YOU, YOU'RE A BIGGER CLOWN THAN THAT RED NOSE BUGGY"
The fight between the two men continued while the crew watched on amused, nothing new on the ship.
"HEY LUFFY THAT'S MY FRUIT PUNCH DON'T DRINK IT"
"Cmmonnnnnn Chopper give me some, I'm lazy to go refill..."
Chopper and Luffy both had their hands on the cup that was filled with the cool drink and they both were playing tug rope with the cup and well unfortunately for them the cup had tipped and all of its contents is now spilling at the person that was sitting in the middle of them. That person was......Robin.
*SPLASH*
The room was now silent, Sanji and Zoro's bickering was on hold because of the light spill sound that interrupted everyone.
"Oh shit.." Franky muttered
The red beverage was now seeping through Robin's tank top. Her chest and thighs was now covered with the sweet drink and it was dripping. Robin looked down at her now soiled clothing.
"Oh my.." was all she said.
"Robinnn....im sorry!! I didn't..we didn't mean to ruin your clothes!!" Chopper started exclaiming, feeling guilty. "OI LUFFY! This is your fault you know!! APOLOGISE TO ROBIN NOW!"
Luffy had one hand behind his head, scratching while having a goofy grin "Sorry Robin it was an accident...please don't be mad"
"SERIOUSLY. Why can't the men in this crew behave like proper men in FOR ONCE! You guys are barbaric and I don't know how two beautiful women like me and and Robin got stuck with you guys!!" This time the screaming and yelling was now coming from the ship's navigator.
Robin wasn't mad, in fact she enjoyed all their shenanigans. The crew made life fun, they make her feel alive and everyday she will always have a smile on her face. "It's okay Luffy its okay Chopper. I will go and change into a new shirt." she said with a laughter.
"Well there you go Nami, you heard Robin. She's not mad so I don't see why you're all worked up." Franky joined in to which he received a death glare from the money obsessed pirate.
In the midst of the whole conversation Zoro had been staring at Robin's wet stained shirt accident. Everyone was too busy bickering with each other they had failed to notice that the water just made Robin's voluptuous figure even more prominent. The outline of her huge breast could be seen through the god damn tank top and the fruit punch was still dripping down her cleavage and most of it had splashed onto her thick thighs.
He didn't know what he was doing but he liked what he was seeing. Robin was a beautiful woman and he knew that. She had the perfect curves and her assets were anything but small. She had matured into a sexy woman and he could never deny that. The sight that she had unintentionally presented him with was very fucking pleasing to his eyes. His eyes glued to her soft skin and the way the water would drip down her cleavage because she was laughing and causing her chest to move tentalizingly. He knew she wasn't doing it on purpose but she was sexy without even trying. He shook his head and tried to clear the dirty thoughts that was now forming in his mind 'Why the hell am I thinking about her like that' his mind yelled at him.
"Well excuse me, I am going to take a bath since the punch has made my body all sticky now." Robin stood up and walked towards the door. Sanji on the other hand had knock both Luffy and Chopper's head while yelling something like 'Look what you guys did!' 'Robin-chan's lunch is ruined' 'assholes'
-BOOOOOOOOOMMM-
A loud crash was heard 1 minute after Robin had exited the kitchen. Zoro and Sanji both had dashed out of the door in a fighting stance-run.
"Whats' going on now!!" Nami yelled.
"Looks like Luffy fell asleep" Franky muttered in half disbelief and half lazed tone.
"ROBIN CHANNN!! ARE YOU OKAY?" Sanji yelled frantically.
Zoro had drawn his katana out ready to slice anyone whom had dared to attack their ship and more importantly Robin.
"So this is the infamous Strawhat crew everyone has been talking about?? You don't seem much if i managed to cuff your deliciously beautiful crewmate here. If i know you guys had such a sexy pirate lady, we would have attacked you sooner!" The malicious voice came from Captain Deck from the Sink Pirates; notorious for sinking every ship they come across with. He was however not interested in woman and was quick to carry Robin and throwing her off the Sunny Go to everyone's horror.
"ROBIN NNNN!!" Chopper and Nami's voiced chorus together,
"ROBIN -CHWANNNN! YOU SHITTY BASTARD HOW DARE YOU TOUCH THE LADIES OF THIS SHIP I WILL POUND YOU UNTIL YOUR INSIDES COME OUT ASSHOLE!!" Sanji shouted with fire engulfing his whole body.
Zoro of course had already jumped in right after Robin was thrown into the sea. His first priority was definitely saving his nakama. Slicing every last one of his enemy would later be the second priority. He dived deep and because he immediately jump in right when Robin was thrown in, she hadn't sink too far for his vision. She was still conscious, eyes wide with shocked with everything that has transpired. He could understand her fear, you can be the strongest fighter with the best abilities but its all over if you get thrown into the water. Her hands was desperately reaching for Zoro. She knew she was safe, drowning in the sea or not, she had her nakama protecting her and always having her back.
He grabbed Robin's hand and pulled her into his body and quickly swam back up in full speed. When they reached the surface, he found himself swimming to an island, the Sunny Go and his crewmates were no where in sight. Now he was just confused, how the hell did he got all the way here now. He now carried Robin bridal style whilst walking on shore since she was weakened by the effects of the sea water.
He lay her down on the grass part of the island and stood up to survey their foreign surroundings.
"Oi woman you okay?" he asked her with concern although he wasn't facing her. Robin who now had herself up on her feet.
"Thank you Zoro-kun, i'm better now." Robin said smiling even if he wasn't looking to see it. "However, seems like we're stranded in here. How did you find this island?" she was already walking around surveying the flowers, sand, grass and anything that might tell her where they were. He scratched the back of his head, "I don't know how we end up here, my priority was only getting you out of the sea and next thing i know, i got us here." he said with a tone of frustration.
'ara...so this is how he looks like whenever we get seperated' Robin's amusing thoughts caused her to laugh behind him. He snapped his head to her "What's so funny woman" to which Robin smile "Nothing. Lets explore this island together, i'm sure Luffy and the others are already nearby." she suggested to which Zoro just grunted in agreement.
The both of them then ventured into the thick jungle of the island.
Meanwhile back at the Sunny Go.
"Geez you can definitely count on Zoro to be lost even when the ship was right above him." Franky grumbled while the crew set sailed for the island Ussop had spotted.
"That shitty asshole took Robin-chwann away! IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME THAT SAVED HER AND WOULD PROBABLY BE ON THAT ISLAND WITH A VERY WET RO-" Sanji fainted from nose-bleed before he could finish his sentence.
"SANJIIIIII!!!" Chopper ran towards his perverted nakama.
"Leave him to die Chopper, he propably don't mind dying" Nami said while shaking her head.
"YOSH! FULL SPEED AHEAD TO THAT MEAT ISLAND MEN!" Luffy yelled to his crewmates.
"Oi oi what do you mean meat island" Ussop replied, "And we can leave stupidity to our captain. Zoro and Robin are missing and there he goes thinking about food" he finished leaving Nami and Chopper nodding their heads vigorously. Luffy laughed "Don't worry! They're strong and i'm not worried."
-BACK TO THE UNKNOWN ISLAND-
"Perhaps the plants here spit poison that could kill you in a second or maybe the soil might swallow you whole the moment you step on it." Robin said voicing her thoughts outloud.
"Oi Robin stop saying things like that." Zoro chastised the historian for always saying dark things.
"Fufufu sorry Zoro-kun." Robin giggled into her palm.
"By the way......” he started “Robin,i'mgladyou'refineafter2years."
Zoro managed to choke all the words out as fast as he could. He was not one with sweet words but he somehow felt that before the seperation he was very cold with Robin out of all the members of the crew.
It had to do with the whole ‘Miss All Sunday’ business but now when he looked at her, it was as if everything in the past didn't matter anymore.Robin on the other hand was taken aback by his words, she would be lucky to get a grunt out of the swordsman but he was initiating a conversation first and to top that off, he was telling her how he was glad that SHE was okay.
"I'm happy to hear that. You've grown handsomely in two years Zoro-kun" She replied him with a genuine smile. His face instantly reddened from embarasssment. There she goes again, he thought. Always saying things like that and now he looks like a cat just bit his tongue.
"W..we..well you'vegrownbigtoO!"
Robin laughed aloud "Are you saying that i’m fat Zoro-kun?" she stopped abruptly nearly making him crash behind her.
"What!" he panicked. Now these are one of her antics to get him all flustered.
"You said i've grown big, so does that mean I’m fat to you Zoro-kun?" She asked him with an innocent smile, teasing him was her favourite things to do.
"You know what I mean woman." Zoro grunted frustratedly, face still heated up. She? Fat? Farrr from it he thought. Her figure was amazing, perfect if he may be so bold to say.
"So after 2years of not seeing me, thaaat....is the only thing you noticed? I think cook-san has influenced you abit." This has got to definitely get THE reaction Robin was waiting for.
“IM NOTHING LIKE THAT SHITTY BASTARD OF A COOK AND YOU KNOW IT WOMAN!!" Robin laughed at his predictable reaction. "I'm joking Mr Swordsman." And there the nicknames comes again, this woman knew how to push his buttons well.
Then Robin did the unthinkable, she put her hands on her waist and came closer to Zoro and with a low sultry voice with a pose that would drive Sanji into his grave from nosebleed.
"So am I big enough or is there anything else I can change....for you Zoro-kun" Robin said suggestively. She have to admit whilst she finally have people to call her nakama she needed more. She wants that intimate attention just like every  woman. Intimacy wasn’t something she even had time for in the past, it never crossed her mind to romance with men. Now that she’s comfortable and know she has a place to call home, why the hell not.
Now he was just as red a beet, he didn't know why Robin was being flirty with him. She was usually the quiet one, calm, collected and only commented on things when it was necessary. Then again she was the only woman ironically that he didn’t mind invading his personal space. She and him was always in the same room in the ship every damn time and it wasn’t even planned nor did they ever agreed to always have each other’s back. He had always protected Robin, he would be there, ready to cut her enemies. Just like on sky island and fishmen island, as long as he’s around her he will put his life on the line for her
It wasn’t that he wouldn’t do the same for the crew but when he does save her, he feels something for her, he don’t know what he felt but he felt his pride and ego semi boosted from it. It was as if he wanted to impress her and show off how strong he was when she was around him. Maybe because all her life she was used to everyone betraying her or maybe she never had anyone protecting her. If she needed him to tell her that she wanted his protection, he would proudly declare that he will always protect and care for her.
Since she was graciously being so near him, his good eye clearly did not miss everything Robin had to offer. She was obviously testing the waters like this and eventhough he wasn't THAT type of man but he will be THAT if she wants it so bad. He will gladly play along with her game afterall he didn't enjoy being dominated like this.
Zoro grabbed Robin's waist roughly and pressed her figure with his hard and he brought his mouth against her ears.
"You better stop that Robin because i don’t think I can stop myself after this " Zoro growled with his grip tightening on her waist and back. That was an indefinite warning, he was ready to drop the whole ‘nakama’ thing and fuck her right there if she insisted on being a minx. Amazing that they had the whole island to themselves, amazing that his bad sense of direction got just the both of them alone, amazing that his crew wasn’t here to interrupt this moment and lastly Nico Robin was and amazing woman. His mind was flooded with thoughts of her and he thought he was going insane.
“I don’t want you to stop Zoro.” Her voice was filled with want, need, lust and when he looked into her eyes he knew that she only wanted HIM and he was the only one she trusted her body with. Right now her eyes was an open book and he could read every thoughts she had going through in her head.
Mentally he was battling a war, he shouldn’t be indulging in this but he knew he wanted this so bad he could kill someone.
“Not here Robin.” It had took all of his will power to seperate him and Robin, all that lust and need. Trust him he really wanted to take her right there and then but... “Fufufu, that’s very considerate and sweet of you.”

The way she’s pulling you in
Good grief. I am the biggest pervert. Look away children, this is explicit.
It all came from my other story where I, on the spot, created a headcanon that Sanji would most definitely have a wank bank and it would be overflowing with Nami. (The other story isn’t posted yet, but it’s on the way and has nothing to do with this btw)
Summary: Nami was seductive, alluring, the sexiest person he’d ever seen in his life. He wasn’t proud, but it helped him in his private moments when it was just him and his hand. Rating: M. NSFW.
This can also be found on AO3 and FFN.
Enjoy!
Nami was seductive, alluring, the sexiest person he’d ever seen in his life. He wasn’t proud, but it helped him in his private moments when it was just him and his hand. NSFW.
Explicit, wank bank, sexual fantasies, masturbating, accidental exhibitionism, kinda, Sanji’s ridiculously attracted to Nami but what’s new, look at these tags, there is shame this time
Title: Wish you were here, With her sweetened breath, I take a moment, In the shape of you, Made your mark on me, The way that she’s pulling you in, I want to taste her lips,
The pantry was his safe haven.
He was pretty sure the crew forgot it even existed most of the time, but that was because it was tiny, cramped and didn’t hold anything of interest. However, for him, in those… private moments, it was ideal. The toilet never an option because someone always wanted to use it and he liked to take his time. So, all he had to do was wait for Luffy’s second snack of the night and he was out like a light. It worked like clockwork.
Which was exactly how he found himself towards the back of the pantry on a little stool between the bags sugar and flour, already palming himself through the material of his trousers. He was particularly desperate today; it’d been a while since he’d been able to do this and Nami had been particularly sexy today walking around in a skimpy white bikini. It’d been a feast for the eyes. Paired with the way he was sure she was touching him more, hanging around him more and this was well overdue.
To be fair, all she had to do was breath and it was too much for him.
He’ll be honest, he wasn’t sure how he held it together, but all he knew was he didn’t have to now as he undid his belt, zipper and shimmied his trousers down to his ankles. There was already a wet spot on the front of his underwear.
The first touch was bliss and he had to hold himself back from going too fast, already too desperate but unwilling for it to be over that quickly. The second touch and he was picturing Nami from today, in the white skimpy bikini and what laid beneath it. He already knew what did, the image haunted him in the best way possible. Perky, creamy breasts with dusty pink nipples that was wanted to bury his head in between and worship like they deserved to be.
That train of thought led to an outfit that made her breasts look phenomenal, whilst also putting them at risk of spilling out at any moment. But it wasn’t just her breasts though; it was her whole body. The present from the people of Zou, who he never got a chance to thank for blessing him with that view. The purple dress.
He wasn’t even sure if she had the purple dress anymore, but a man could dream, and he certainly did. The way it’d hung on her, draped over all her curves, and teased him from the low cut that showed off her breasts so well to the high cut that displayed long creamy legs and revealed that she definitely wasn’t wearing underwear underneath. It was a heart stopping dress, one that made him want to do naughty things with her. More than normal.
He couldn’t remember how many times he’d done this with the image of her in that dress. Countless times, to the point that he was wondering if it was a kink at that this stage. He knew if she ever wore it again, he’d cream his pants there and then.
Using slow, steady stokes had been abandoned the moment he thought about that purple dress, and he had to bite back the gasp when his hand circled the head of his cock, pre cum already oozing out.
And as his hand pumped down to the base, squeezing slightly as he got lost in his daydream, with the thought of just Nami melting away into him and Nami fooling around in the cramped pantry instead.
He’d be in the same spot, but instead she’d be gathered on his lap, straddling him, and so close that he wouldn’t be able to see anything other than her. He’d kiss down the soft skin of her neck as he uttered sweet nothings into her skin, drinking in her gasps.
She’d roll her hips into his and all her bashfulness would disappear at the stiffness in his trousers, instead replaced by a seductive look that promised naughty things. It made him feel heady.
He imagined the way her lithe hands would feel over his cock, the silk of her hands contrasting against the callouses she’d have acquired over the years, the press of her breasts against his chest but mostly, the steamy lidded look she’d give him. He’d seen it time and time again whenever she wanted something, but this would be genuine, filled with desire for him and only him. She’d pant his name in a breath and it would play over his face teasingly.
His hands would be free to roam, along supple thighs to her rounded behind. She’d gasp when he gave it an appreciative caress, but it would be nothing compared to when he got his hands on her breasts. He’d tease her nipples, bringing them to a point, and then roll them between his thumb and finger. Her hand would stutter over his cock, but that’d be fine because the sound of her breathy gasp of his name would be more than enough.
Sanji threw his head back, thumping against the wall of the pantry, gasping and the room was filled with the wet sound of his hand moving over his cock. His hand glided with how much pre-cum there was, almost no friction, and he imagined that’d be her wetness instead, all over his hands from working her up and then his cock as he slid into her.
He’d have her on her back, so he could watch her breasts bounce as he thrusted into her again and again. But it would be nothing compared to her face, the flush across her cheeks, the tears building in the corner of her eyes at the pleasure he brought her and the way she’d be tumbling over her words, between moaning and calling out for him. The way she’d tell him how good he made her feel.
There was no rhythm anymore, his hand moving frantically over his cock as his thoughts turned filthier by the second, his other hand going to cup his balls, rolling them as pleasure shot through his back and a heaviness settled in his stomach. He wouldn’t last much longer; he could feel himself winding tighter and tighter, ready to snap at any moment.
It certainly didn’t help when he then thought about her sitting on his face, a thought always saved towards the end because there was nothing that turned him on more than the thought of tasting her or bringing her the utmost pleasure. His view would be partially blocked but he’d be smothered in all her glory, thighs cushioned either side of his head as he gave her a front row seat to a toe-curling orgasm. She could roll her hips however she wanted as his hands on her behind encouraged her to find the best angle and he’d be buried in her-
“Nami-san!” He called out, unable to hold it in any longer, his hand moving furiously, and this was it.
And it almost was it, until he heard footsteps from the kitchen.
“Sanji-kun?” His heart stopped. The voice he’d been imagining just moments ago, but much breathier, more desperate than this real-life version calling out to him.
No. No. No.
The door to the pantry cracked open. “What are you do-” Her voice trailed off as she took in the dishevelled state of Sanji.
It was like a nightmare. To his utmost horror, there was the object of his affections, the lead star in his dirtiest daydreams, stood at the door looking back at him. She wouldn’t be able to see everything from that angle, but she’d be able to piece it together and he watched it happen in slow motion.
As she took in his state, from the flushed cheeks to his rumpled clothing, her confusion melted into understanding. Her eyes widened, face flushing in embarrassment and mouth agape from the shock. It was a far cry from the lusty one he’d been imagining just moments ago.
And all he could do was gape at her in disbelief. Hands still down his pants and his dick had never been more confused; unsure whether to deflate from pure embarrassment or stay standing strong because the very reason for his arousal was right in front of him. In a skimpy top that didn’t help his dilemma either.
It was abundantly clear what he was doing in the middle of the night, and there was no way she didn’t not hear him just call out for her. So, there they were, both distinctly aware that he had been masturbating and to the to the thought of her no less. Great.
She seemed to come alive then, the shock subsiding. “Oh, oh! I should’ve- you’re-” her scattered speech and hand gesture in his direction was mortifying. That she was referencing it, he wished the ground would open up and swallow him whole.
He’d never seen her so flustered.
“Nami-” he strained out, trailing off because he hadn’t figured out how that sentence was going to end before he’d started speaking. But he had to say something. Do something.
“No, no!” She said, voice sounding panicked, and her eyes were now intent on looking around the room, at everything other than him, which was concerning but a relief at the same time. “It’s my fault… I shouldn’t have barged in. I… should’ve knocked?”
Oh god.
There was a long silence, and he was still tongue tied. At this point he had no idea how he was still looking at her.
“I’m just-” she pointed into the kitchen, now looking down at the box of coffee opposite her. “I’ll see you in the morning,” she squeaked and then she was gone. He heard her hurried footsteps across the kitchen floor, door flinging open and closing with a loud slam.
Then there was only silence. He was alone again.
His hand still on his dick, which was now half hard from the mixed signals but holding on like a trooper. He was nowhere near as turned on as he had been before and now that she knew, he couldn’t do it, couldn’t possibly finish now without feeling anything other than shame.
What had he done?
The next morning at breakfast, neither could look at the other.

8. Concession
summary: Deals are struck to appease the sick and appease the worrying. (one piece, slight SanUso)
***
“His temperature is high,” Chopper sighed stepping outside of his office with a frown. He kept his voice low, in case the patient was listening. “Really high... He needs to eat and drink more, but he’s putting up a resistance.”
Chopper rubbed his chin, concern weighing down his brow, “It’s a simple illness, an infection of the throat and sinuses. Strep throat. But his pain response to it... it’s as if he’s never been sick before!”
“Well... Usopp has claimed to have never been sick a day of his life,” Nami sighs, hands on her hips, and her gaze glaring at the door, “But I thought that was another... tall tale of his!”
“Surely he’s been sick before... at least once!” Brook argued, tapping his skeletal fingers to his teeth.
"I gotta admit... I've seen a lot of us sick, but I don't think I've seen Usopp-bro sick," Franky mused. He chuckled suddenly, before adding, "Well, not something he didn't invent anyway..."
“I’m not sure. I’m going to take a look at his blood for antibodies, but based on his fever and his reactions to the pain, I’m not sure if he's had this illness before. I really think it’s his first time experiencing this... which can be a problem. Mild illnesses are worse in adulthood if you’ve never experienced them in your youth!” Chopper sighed.
“Isn’t he just being a bad patient?” Zoro protested, “He’s just whining.”
“A temperature doesn’t lie, idiot,” Sanji snapped, a tray of soup and water in hand, “If Chopper says it’s bad, then it’s bad!”
Zoro glared at the cook, an insult ready on his lips, but Luffy, his usually cheerful tone subdued, interrupted, “Don’t fight. Usopp’s head was hurting from the noise earlier.”
The crew fell quiet, anxiety twisting in their stomachs over Luffy’s obvious concern. Finding out Usopp wasn't feeling his best, had been a bit of a shock.
In the middle of an escape from the Marines, Usopp had burst into tears over the noise of a canon, before collapsing on the ground. It hadn’t been too abnormal a sight, but his tears were normally from being scared... and not from pain. This had obviously been the latter, and the sight of it had shocked the group. Usopp had been gathered up and taken to Chopper's office immediately. More alarming than any complaint he could have made was his muttering that he was fine, despite his obvious fever, and flushed complexion.
“Usopp was hurting a lot,” Luffy mumbled, folding his arms with a frown.
A crew member falling sick was never a happy occasion, but in their years sailing together, Usopp had indeed, never gotten sick. His boasting over his good health had oddly been a comfort for the crew. He was normally the first to check on a downed crewmate, telling them stories, or encouraging them to take medicine. There was many an occasion Luffy's fast recoveries could be credited to Usopp, for tricking his Captain into taking his gross tasting medicine, thanks to some tale he wove.
And if asked to not get to close to the paitent he would laugh, “I never get sick! Never. While, I’ll have you know...” and then he’d launch into a story about how his family was blessed with good health, or that Usopp had sailed on the sea when he was seven, to do some great quest that caused his good health.
It was clockwork. Usopp didn’t get sick. He faked them. He did not succumb to them.
A cough from behind Chopper’s closed door caused the Straw Hats to jump.
Anxious eyes turned to the door, unease settling over them like a blanket.
“Has he eaten anything?” Robin asked, her voice almost a whisper.
“Not yet...” Chopper admitted, “He’s struggling even taking water right now.”
Sanji, straightened his back, his grip on the tray getting surer.
“Well, he won’t turn my food down. Water and a light soup. It’s not too much much, and he’ll find the taste to his liking,” Sanji said with a nod, marching towards the door.
“If he could at least drink all the water... I don’t want to resort to an I.v.,” Chopper half pleaded, a brave smile on his face.
“He’s not going to die from this,” Zoro said, brown furrowed with frustration, “He’s going to be fine!” He seemed grumpier with Usopp laid up.
Franky opened the door for Sanji, and offered a grin of reassurance, “Good luck bro!”
Sanji entered Chopper’s office with firm steps. He flinched a little as the door closed behind him, suddenly finding himself squinting at the dimmed light of the room.
It didn’t take long for his eyes to adjust; Usopp was easy to spot on the bed, his black hair flowing like ink over his pillow. His dark skin was ashen, and his eyes were closed. He was frowning, the pain of his throat most likely the cause.
Sanji hated it when people were sick.
Nami’s brave sick face comes to mind. As does his mother’s. Both thoughts fill him with dread. Smiling while sick... he'd rather no one did that.
He feels cruel to suddenly be grateful Usopp isn’t hiding behind a brave smile.
Sanji sets the tray down on the desk by Usopp’s bedside with an intentional noise. Usopp’s body flinches, as if the noise had hurt him, and he peeks out at Sanji beneath heavy lashes... pouting at Sanji in greeting.
He’s not putting on a brave face, and again Sanji feels selfish to be happy about it.
Moved by relief, and an unexpected surge of compassion, Sanji reaches out to cup Usopp’s face. Usopp is burning up beneath his touch.
“Hey there... You’ve got to eat,” Sanji says, his words slow and awkward. He hadn’t really known what to say, especially now that he's touched him out of the blue.
Usopp makes an expressive frown but remains quiet. His dark eyes are locked onto Sanji, but they are darting over Sanji's face. He doesn't seem to know where to look, or perhaps, even lying down, he is too dizzy to focus on the cook's face.
“Can you sit up for water, at the very least?” Sanji asks thumb stroking Usopp’s cheek. He doesn’t know where the doting has come from, but he doesn’t push it down. They’re alone after all... no one to see what he’s doing.
Usopp nods, his fevered cheek pressing lightly into Sanji’s cool palm. He stays there a moment and then moves to sit up. His arms are trembling. Sanji reaches gently under those shaking arms and helps the sniper sit up, Usopp pressing his forehead heavily against  Sanji’s chest.
His breath is labored from the effort of sitting up.
Is this really just strep throat?
When Usopp’s breath is evened out, Sanji lets him go and reaches for the glass of water. He passes it to Usopp, who takes it obediently; quietly.
That quiet is so disturbing. Usopp is a small ball of chaos, smaller and more predictable than fluffy, but he's loud and exuberant. The quiet doesn't suit him.
“I know Chopper gave you medicine... it hurts now, but you’ll be feeling better soon. Chopper’s the best doctor,” Sanji says, unable to help but try and console the ailing sniper. Forcing a smile, Sanji continues, “So... so drink up! The water will help. It’ll help you feel better soon!”
Usopp’s pout grows deeper, but he sips the water. He jolts, wincing sharply, a hand going to his throat. He looks so surprised at the pain.
Nami had smiled so brightly while sick. His mother had eaten her food obediently.
Sanji has one of Usopp’s hands in his own and clings to it. He’s not sure why he’s so scared now.
“Please drink it all. I know it hurts... but I promise you’ll feel better soon,” Sanji says, smiling as wide as he can.
Usopp frowns, and his eyes sluggishly turn to Sanji’s face. His head tilts slightly, and then, he smiles.
Sanji feels choked up at the sight.
Usopp’s feverish hand is suddenly on Sanji’s cheek, and the sniper whispers, “Sanji... stop. It is going to be alright... Don’t make that face.”
Sanji shakes his head, “I’ll... I’ll worry less if you promise to drink this, and have a few bites of soup.”
Usopp nods, head drooping as if it is weighed down. He grunts very softly in agreement. Closing his eyes, Usopp chugs half the water, before his hand goes to his throat. He coughs, his face twisting up from the pain, and Sanji is reaching forward again.
He feels so helpless.
And then Usopp has his arms around him.
Usopp is hot and sticky with sweat. His hug is too heavy and uncomfortable. He buries his face into Sanji’s throat, and sighs, his hot breath adding to the uncomfortableness.
“Stop... making that...face. I’ll get better. Just stop. I’ll be alright... Don’t look so sad,” Usopp whispers, voice strained and weak, "I'll have you know... I'm the fastest at getting better..." It's a weak story, and one with no elaboration.
His strong hands, no longer small like how Sanji remembers them, curl around the lapels of Sanji’s jacket.
“In exchange... feed me. And listen to me complain. But I’ll... get better. So don’t look like... this,” Usopp’s voice is tired, and he sounds concerned.
Sanji hugs Usopp unsure of what face he is making, or how to stop it, so he tells him so.
"I don't know what I look like."
Usopp rubs his cheek against Sanji's hair and mumbles, "Very scared. I don't like... people looking at me like that... about this."
Usopp is trembling.
Sanji abruptly remembers this isn't even a severe illness, and with a much braver and stronger voice insists, "You're going to be fine. We... I'm looking at you like this... because our sniper can't be down for long. You're going to get better. I just hate seeing you like this."
Usopp sighs, and his trembling calms. Somehow, Sanji has managed to bring Usopp comfort, while also comforting himself.
Sanji’s not even sure why all of this is bothering him so much.
Sanji holds Usopp tight, and thinks only of him. He pushes away Nami’s determined flushed face, and his mother's grateful, relieved smile. Nami is still here. His mother is gone. Usopp will be like the former. He'll get better.
All these things are related, and Sanji’s not sure if he understands how.
Usopp told him once, that his mother died when she was sick.
“Are you afraid?” Sanji asks, arms still tightly wrapped around Usopp. It doesn’t matter how uncomfortably hot everything is.
“Not like you,” Usopp whispers, lips brushing Sanji’s throat. “I’ll get better... didn’t I tell you? So no more...” Usopp’s hot hand covers Sanji’s eyes.
“I have to endure it when all of you don’t feel well... so don’t fall apart on me... If I can take it... you can take it too,” Usopp mutters, voice trying to be encouraging, even if the words don’t quite fit.
Sanji remembers all of Usopp’s smiles whenever they fall ill. He’s a good liar. Good at hiding when something is wrong. He too, lost his mother to illness.
Sanji had been worried about Nami when she was sick.
But not like how he had been worried about his mother.
Sanji is worried more for Usopp, over this nonfatal illness. More worried than he ever had been for his mother.
A disconnect in Sanji’s heart, and head--click.
“Ah...” Sanji whispers suddenly understanding something he had been trying not to look at for some time.
He looks down at Usopp in his arms. He’s asleep, his glass empty and bowl of food untouched. Sanji will try again when he wakes up. Usopp promised to get better. And he will. The whole crew, and not just Sanji, will see to it.
Sanji sets Usopp back gently on his pillow, releasing him very carefully.
There’s a lot to think about, but Sanji will deal with that later. Every other thought and feeling is packed away, neatly tucked back inside Sanji for him to deal with at a later time. He’ll go make more soup for Usopp when he wakes up.
Usopp did promise to get better if Sanji stops making whatever face he’s been making. It’s a small price to pay that Sanji will agree to pay while Usopp’s eyes are open.
But if Usopp’s eyes are closed, Sanji decides to worry all he wants, and there’s not a thing the sniper can do about it.

“i was wondering if you wanted...go see the stars with me sometime...no that’s horrible,” ( y/n ) spoke aloud, putting a hand through her hair, gripping tightly out of frustration.
she had been practicing her confession for the blue-haired princess of alabasta in front of the mirror for twenty minutes now ignoring her daily duties. it started off with a talk from one of the straw hats days prior to their departure.
the navigator with the short orange hair named nami.
after meeting the straw hats and thanking them profusely for returning vivi home safely, nami had noticed ( y/n )’s lingering glances, light blushes, and overall awkwardness around the princess. it was obvious why she had been acting in such a manner.
when nami comforted her about them, the young girl almost had a heart attack, begging nami not to tell. after her very hearty laugh, nami left ( y/n ) with a few words of advice.
“follow your heart. just go for it. you never know until you try.”
she pondered on those words for days. always looking out to the sea from the highest window of the palace. the words seemed to ring the loudest when vivi was around, when she could also feel her heart rate in her ears. it was safe to say vivi always made her feel this way.
even when they were kids back in the suna suna clan. vivi was always the sweetest with her. when vivi was in danger, ( y/n ) risked her life among the others in the clan to protect vivi. she even felt shame that she couldn’t do more to help the princess. that was until vivi took her by the hand gently and thanked her.
it was the first time she truly looked into her eyes, it was the first time she felt her heart race and her face heat up.
even though, just the memory of it still has an effect on her.
( y/n ) let out a frustrated sigh, “she’s never going to accept my confession.” a familiar hand gripped the open door frame as a head of familiar blue hair peeped into the room with that caring smile.
“what confession?” vivi questioned.
“princess vivi!” ( y/n ) jumped at the sight of her crush, her face began to redden. “what...what are you doing here?”
vivi pouted slightly, “well i didn’t have anything to do and i wanted to see what you were up to. but i heard something about a confession...so...now you have to tell me!” the childish princess let herself into the room, sitting on the edge of the bed. she let her chin rest in her palms, batting her eyelashes, “so...who is she?”
“s-she? w-what do you mean?”
“come on, ( y/n )! i heard you say she! i wanna know. i won’t tell. is she apart of the palace staff?” vivi wondered, earning a weird look from ( y/n ). “what? no! it’s...complicated, vi.”
“well describe her, please,” vivi begged, that sad look in her eyes that ( y/n ) hated.
( y/n ) let out a string of curses under her breath, “fine...fine...just...if you know who it is don’t say it. got it?”
“got it!” with two fingers, she made a zipping motion over her mouth.
“well...she’s here in alabasta of course. and um...she’s our age. i’ve known her since i was young. i never really remember how many years it’s been since they all seem to go by so fast. um...she has really nice wavy hair that makes her stand out among people. she’s...really nice and kind-hearted. she always puts others above herself,” ( y/n ) gushed, a sparkle in her eye forming as she indirectly talked about the one who sat in front of her.
vivi couldn’t help but smile, listening ( y/n ) babble on and on about the girl she had fancied. it made her happy to see her good friend in love. though she had hoped the girl whom ( y/n ) fancied did not break her heart.
embarrassment finally struck as ( y/n ) began to realize how much she was talking, “sorry, vi. i didn’t realize i was going on and on.”
“no! it’s okay. i think it’s cute that you feel so strongly about this girl. i know any girl would be lucky to have you,” vivi beamed. a forced smile appeared across ( y/n )’s face.
‘but i want you...’ she thought to herself.
vivi stood up from the bed, “i guess i’ll leave you to your confession practicing―”
“vivi wait. there’s something that i need to tell you.”
it was now or never. nami’s words were fresh in her mind, replaying over and over again, as she could feel her body feeling a bit numb. it was kind of like the feeling of your foot falling asleep, except it was all over her body.
“the girl...the girl i like...it’s...uhh...it’s you,” ( y/n ) stammered out, closing her eyes to avoid vivi’s gaze. she continued, “it’s okay if you don’t like me like that. i don’t expect you to. you’re a princess and there’s probably a lot of other people who deserve your time more than i do but i can’t help. and there’s no way igaram and the others would even let me be with you and―”
she stopped feeling vivi’s warm hand, take hers, intertwining her fingers. ( y/n )’s eyes shot up, coming face to face with vivi. her eyes immediately found hers. it was just like the moment she had fallen for her when they were children.
“vivi...”
“i think we can do it if we tried.”
( y/n ) blinked rapidly, was she hearing right? “wait you mean...” she trailed off.
“i would be lying if i said i didn’t have a small crush on you. i always thought you were really pretty, but i didn’t know if you felt the same since we’re both...you know,” vivi pointed out, ushering between them with a small laugh, “but i guess i didn’t really have to worry about that now.”
“but...but what about everyone―”
“forget everyone else. everyone isn’t dating us now are they?”
( y/n ) perked up, “dating?”
“yeah, dating. aren’t we like official now? wait i didn’t ask yet!”

what do you think an average day in the strawhat kitchen would be like?
Yay!! My first ask! Thank you so much, Anon! I decided to write about the morning part of the day, if that’s okay. I’m setting this scenario after Water 7 and before Thriller Bark because I forgot about Brook & Jinbe. I hope you enjoy!
Italics = dialogue (including rudimentary French)
Bold Italics = Japanese (spelled out, idk kanji)

An Average Day
The day begins early. There’s a thread of light leaking under the door even before dawn. Peeking in, a familiar lanky-noodle of a man can be seen in rumpled clothes, still wiping the sleep from his eyes. The soft clatter of dishes can be heard as his hands shuffle about on autopilot. One fist lifting a pan from a cabinet. Another fidgeting with the silk knot of his tie. A wisp of smoke trails from the corner of his lip and out the porthole window.
Every color of dawn passes through the windows. Dusky grey as the seas and shadows of night give way to light. He readjusts the buttons on his shirt that he missed. Faded indigo grows bright as flares of sunlight scatter across the wide open sky. He settles the loop of his tie under his collared shirt. The knot sits right beneath his throat. By then, the world out the window is nothing but blue.
Freshly pressed and clean as a chef can be, ‘Black Leg’ Sanji sets to work. The sizzling of ingredients over an open flame is enough to draw a few groaning bed-heads and rumbling stomachs into the room. Most are aware enough to mumble a greeting, which the chef appreciates. A small smile tugs at the edge of his cigarette as he registers each voice.
“Good morning, Chef-san,” a sweet voice croons into the room.
The click of recognition in Sanji’s brain is enough to send his heart a-flutter. “Robin-chwan!” Steam erupts from his ears like grease in a hot pan. “What a wonder it is to see you this lovely morning!” he crows. Spinning around on a perfectly-polished heel, he serves his beloved crewmate on the pristine porcelain plate she so admired back in Water 7. “A breakfast sandwich for our lovely nightingale. Bon appetit, mon amie.”
Robin hides a darling chuckle behind a delicate hand. Sanji can feel his knees wanting to crumble under the rush of hearing her laughter. Sparkling joy rushes down his spine. But he quickly shakes himself. There are more meals to be made, after all. And many more crewmates to feed.
Just as the willowy blonde cook turns back to the stove, he hears the crisp clop-clop of hooves on the hardwood floor. “Bon-bonjou--” A bright, squeaky little yawn follows the groaning of the kitchen door. “Bon morning, Sanji~”
The older cook chuckles to himself. “Très bonjour, Chopper,” He says, passing him a little wrapped package from the pantry. “This chocolate has some nuts in it, that okay?” The little reindeer gives a sleepy nod before wandering to sit next to the elegant Robin. Sanji smiles a little, gnawing on his cigarette.
All-too-soon, that chain-smoking cook hears the all-too familiar stomps of boots. The tinkling of scabbards like wind chimes rambles closer and closer until a bulky black shadow stands in the doorway. Sanji grits his teeth, nearly sawing his smoke in half. “Marimo.”
“Curly brow.”
“Go sit down.” The chef ground out. “Your food’s almost ready.”
“I think I’ll just stand here, actually.”
Sanji whirls around towards the swordsman. “You trying to piss me off, moss-hea—“
“Morning, Sanji-kun!”
Suddenly it was as if the clouds parted and the heavens opened up before him. But even the clouds of Skypiea could have hosted such a gorgeous angel. Sanji’s spinning feet nearly collapse underneath him. He pushes himself off the counter, eager to greet the darling of the Strawhat crew.
“Ah, Nami-swan!” He smiles, his heart singing at the sight of her. “What a blinding vision you are, a gift from the sea goddess herself!” He takes her hand in his, as if inviting her to dance. Her fiery sunset hair flares in the early morning light. Her warmth amber eyes dance with flattered mirth. The softness of her hand against his calloused palm has Sanji’s pulse fluttering in his ears. He leads her gracefully to the table, where she’s seated with fresh squeezed orange juice and a bowl of equally-Colorful fruit salad. “Profiter, belle mademoiselle.”
“Merci beaucoup, Sanji-kun!”
If it weren’t for the brooding Marimo glaring a variety of blades into his back, Sanji may have just fainted on the spot. However, determined to maintain his composure, he simply lifted a bento from the table and showed it to the man over his shoulder. “I told you to sit down, Moss-head. You forget where your spot was?”
Zoro grunted. Marching up to the table he swiped the bento from Sanji’s grip and dropped himself down on the dining room bench. The chef huffed. Ungrateful brute. And a messy one at that. Within a moment of sitting down, he has rice grains stuck to his cheeks and chin. Sanji rolled his eyes and returned to work. At least Zoro was enjoying the meal. That was all a good cook could ask for.
“urgh-guh-morning...” the rambling natter of a long-nosed sniper sounds almost gravely at such an early hour. Sanji can hear the soft scritch-scratch of the young man ruffling his mop of unruly curls.
“Mornin’ Long-nose,” he greets the younger man. He thinks he might hear a grumble of protest from the rumpled boy. Sanji chuffs to himself. Wordlessly, he passes Ussop a seafood omelette and a bottle of tabasco on his shuffle to the table. After a moment of hushed tapping, ceramic and silverware and murmurs of morning voices—Sanji blinks. He turns to the sniper once more. “Where’s Franky?”
“Bulled in all-Nighteye in da-shop again,” Ussop slurs. “He’s passed out. Da-sided to let’em sleep this time.”
The chef absorbs this information with a thoughtful nod. He knows there’s another bento box in the cabinet somewhere. He just needs to find one to fit Franky’s appetite. The shop is his anchoring place. Sanji will take the shipwright’s meal down there before washing up. Everybody gets messy in that place.
Speaking of appetite—“SANJI~!!”
Everybody looked up. The cook turned and braced for impact. Sure enough—THWAP! The rubbery captain smacked into him with all the force of a Marine cannonball. Sanji heaved, but managed to stand his ground. All the while, Luffy was chanting.
“Oi, Sanji! I smell food, you got food? I smell meat, do you have meat? I love meat, ‘specially meat on the bone. You got any of that, Sanji?!”
“You bet your ass I do,” Sanji retorted. Pulling open the SUPER deluxe oven Franky made last week, the chef reveals his culinary masterpiece. Three dinosaur-sized legs of meat, with a cleaned bone on one side, just like his captain liked it.
He’d had to let them marinade overnight just to make sure he didn’t make the rubber-twerp sick with undercooked meat. He wasn’t sure the impulsive freak could get sick. But he didn’t want to be the one to test that theory. Franky had to assure him many times over that the oven wouldn’t catch fire if left in attended. Just looking at the finished product, Sanji could feel his tired bones sag with relief.
Luffy had all three ‘meat sticks’ in hand in the blink of an eye. Sanji turned and growled at him. “Go sit and eat at the table, you rubber animal!”
“Course I will, Sanji. I’ll always eat what you cook!” Luffy replies with a beaming grin.
“That’s not what I—”
“Hey Ussop! I got more meat than you!”
“Of course you did, Luffy, you’re a freak of nature.”
“I think you mean force of nature—“ Nami-san commented dryly.
And so their chatter continued. Every voice overlapping and rising in a joyful noise unlike Sanji had ever heard before. Even when he sailed on the Orbit, or with the fighting cooks on the Baratie. The next time he blinked, that thrice-blasted swordsman was in front of him again. Empty bento in hand, mossy green hair mussed in all directions—the stoic fool eyed him with a level stare. Sanji was just about to bark an insult at him when...Zoro’s sash brushed past his arm. He walked just close enough so Sanji could hear:
“Itadaki—merci, Ero-cook. You did good.”
Where little embers of embarrassment were glowing on the swordsman’s ears, Sanji’s face caught fire. He stomped out his cigarette. Then quickly lit another. One deep breath. A plume of smoke follows his exhale like a sleeping dragon.
“De-rien—Dou itashimashite. Anytime, Baka.”

felt like writing this as a half projection bc I started questioning my sexuality around 12-14 ish and anyway surprise I haven’t actually had my first kiss despite this lmaooooo. ALSO I think media of all kinds can be capable of exploring a teenagers puberty and sexuality and hormones and stuff without actually putting them in sexually explicit scenes and making them have sex on screen like. it’s possible. you can do it. it’s okay you can explore a normal part of life without sexualising children it’s okay. there’s nothing sexual or anything just kissing it should be fine I hope SO YEAH I made sure to ask people if they thought the concept of this fic would be okay prior to writing it too so hhhh
character/s: miura haru, reader-insert (female reader)
word count: 1281
warnings: maybe might be a bit embarrassing to read if you’re prone to secondhand embarrassment or smth?? awkward near the end but it’s okay. kissing and stuff it’s aight. reader and Haru might also be questioning if it’s okay to be kissing another girl, so I hope that’s not too uncomfy to read; it happens maybe once or twice. also, it’s described that reader is female
prompt: boys can’t be trusted with a girl’s first kiss, so your girl friend is the next best thing
Tumblr media
As tests started to rear their heads, students around Namimori were left to find time to study, struggling to handle it at times.
While usually in one whole group, one Miura Haru has decided “sometimes us girls need to spend time together, too!” and set up her own little study session.
While Kyoko could spend time studying in the day, as Namimori Middle’s tests were on a different date to Midori’s, she couldn’t stay the night with you and Haru. When done, she packed her things, wished you luck for studying and bid you both farewell.
The studying after that didn’t last much longer, and with some time still left until Midori’s test in comparisons to Nami-chuu’s, Haru had decided on her own she was done with studying. You couldn’t blame her. Kyoko seemed to be the one that kept you both focused.
As night came around, the studying session evolved into the sleepover part of the event. It had been a while since either of you had just spent time in pyjamas, lounging around on pillows and doing whatever you wanted.
You couldn’t be surprised when somehow the topic of conversation slowly steered into that about boys. Haru had a tendency to do so.
“So, do you like anyone?”
Very straight to the point.
“Eh, no... There’s not anyone I like right now.”
“Oh, that’s boring! I was hoping you’d like someone!”
Haru pouted a little at this before falling to her side, landing amongst the many pillows her bed had.
“Have you ever thought about your first kiss?”
You blinked before turning your head, shrugging a little. “Not entirely... No one our age seems like the type I’d be into anyway, so I don’t think I’d be kissing them.”
Haru stared up at you before huffing out a laugh. “That’s true! There’s no way anyone our age would be worth giving my first kiss to.”
She waved her hands around, sighing pretty obnoxiously. “All the boys are... Won’t they probably just break our hearts anyway? It’s not worth it!”
You nodded a little in agreement, before shifting your weight a little nervously. “Well, what if...” You looked away when she gave you her attention again. “Does it have to be a boy...?”
“Y-You know, because none of the boys we know are that great, and those who are aren’t really our type, right?” You mumbled quickly, waving your hands in front of your chest.
Haru seemed to think this over for a few moments, weighing her options. She shot up into a sitting position and nodded firmly, just once. “You’re right! It shouldn’t be that bad if it’s another girl you know, right?”
“Besides, it can be like practice, or something, and we won’t have to worry about wasting our first kiss!” She seemed to be rambling a little.
You breathed out a little in relief. She was embarrassed, too.
“So what if we just... make it each other...?”
She held your gaze, as if trying to find something. Whether she found it or not, she nodded.
“That sounds okay...”
It was tense, and you both were shuffling around on the mattress, fiddling with the linen nervously.
“U-Um... You should come closer, then.” Your voice was quiet, and close to wavering.
Despite it, Haru inched closed to you, your knees bumping in the process. She could feel her heart beating so hard, she was worried if she got too close you’d hear it, too.
While she lifted your head up a little more, you made the first move to get closer, your noses brushing.
Her eyes were so beautiful.
She seemed to find some courage, and Haru was the one who made contact first, and you visibly jumped in surprise.
It only lasted a couple seconds, but she didn’t pull too far back. She blinked slowly, holding her breath. That was nice.
“I... think real practice would be good,” she mumbled softly. “Right?”
You nodded quickly, cheeks burning. “Yeah... Can... Can I kiss you again?”
“Yes.”
You lifted your hands, a little shaky, to rest on her cheeks and pull her closer to you once more.
This time when your lips pressed together, you felt yourself relax a little more. Your nerves were shot, but you found that Haru seemed to soothe them.
Was this right? You didn’t really care. It was practice, wasn’t it? It was practice. Practice.
Her lips were so soft. Of course they were; she took immaculate care of herself. Were yours soft? What was it like for her?
You realised your eyes had been closed when you had to open them after Haru pulled back a little to breathe.
She tilted her head a tad, thinking over her next move. She wanted more. More.
“Again...?”
You couldn’t say ‘no’ to that.
“Please.”
Haru was still before shuffling closer to you, enough that her thighs sat on yours, and she wrapped her fingers around your shirt.
She couldn’t get enough of you. Was it okay to be doing this? It felt nice. It was warm, and comforting, and good.
She pecked your lips again before mumbling, and through the haze you had to strain to hear her.
“What...?”
“Open your mouth.”
“Oh.”
Of course you listened. You wanted to keep going. You wanted to keep kissing her, and you wanted to hold her so bad, and you didn’t want to stop.
Steeling your nerves, you moved your hands to rest on her waist, only for you both to jump and pull apart when an intrusive ringtone cut through the silence.
Haru blinked a couple times before her face flushed, and it registered what was happening. “Oh, my phone- I’ll just-!”
She scrambled off of you, tripping and falling from her bed while she reached for her phone and hurrying to answer it.
Your eyes widened before you slapped your hands over your face, your fingers digging softly into your reddening cheeks, and your palms hovering over your mouth.
What was that?!
The tension in the room when she hung up was so, so thick, and you could barely breathe.
“U-Uh, Kyoko-chan just called to say she forgot a book, so she’ll be over tomorrow morning to grab it...!”
“R-Right...”
Haru shifted her weight from foot to foot, fumbling around with her phone.
“W-We should probably also... get some sleep.”
“Yes.”
Oh. You had to share a bed, didn’t you?
Haru climbed back onto her bed and pulled her blanket back, petting one side for you to get in.
Once you were both as comfortable as you could be, back to back, that heavy silence hung over you both once more. You hated it. Had you made a mistake?
“Haru-chan...?”
“Mm?”
“Do you regret that...?”
Haru stared at her wall quietly before shaking her head the best she could as she laid on her side. “No... Do you?”
“Neither... Um, I just... don’t want it to be awkward, so...”
You poked the mattress anxiously. “If it’s okay... that we continue on like usual... I’d be really happy.”
Haru swallowed thickly before rolling over to look at your back, poking between your shoulder blades. “Of course... I never want it to be awkward between us,” she mumbled.
“Let’s just get up tomorrow and be the same.”
You squeezed your eyes shut before also turning to face her, finding you had to force your eyes open.
“Okay. That sounds good.”
You both were silent, taking in each other’s features. Was friends okay? Just friends. That was good. Maybe you’d find out you both wanted more in the future, but that was for you both to discover together then. For now, friends was okay.
“Goodnight, Haru-chan.”
“Goodnight, [name]-chan.”

Axiomatic
ax·i·om·at·ic (adj.) Self-evident; unquestionable.
The best part of battle is the afterparty.
(Or: Kidd wears a fur coat, Killer is thirsty. Zoro is there until he isn’t.)
Tags: Established Relationship, Drinking, Fluff and Smut, Blow Jobs, Anal Sex, It’s a PWP what can I say?
Read Chapter 1 here. Post-Wano setting. Content warning for mentions of Body Dysmorphia (relating to Killer).
***
Killer is drunk.
Technically he’s tipsy and on-his-way-to-drunk. There’s a bottle of sake in his hand, half-full or half-empty depending where his head is in a given moment. The straw between his lips is growing brittle, already frayed at the edge – he’s been toying with it rather than drinking for a while now, distracted by the feast running its course below.
With his ass firmly planted on the stone weight of one of the roofs – the inn’s, perhaps? Killer can’t recall why he got up here, much less which house it is – he’s got a view over all of Okobore Town, from where the outskirts are swallowed by the Wasteland to the pitiful square still lit by the bonfire’s embers. Whoever’s in charge of feeding the flames has obviously left their post or followed the siren song of free booze. They wouldn’t be the first to do so, the streets littered with those passed out or making out or both, somehow.
It reminds Killer a little of home. Well, the place they used to call home, him and Kidd, a town so small it isn’t really worth considering it one. Nothing more than the scrapyard of the bustling capital right next door with the people to match: Too poor to live, too stubborn to die and so they got carried along, forgotten by history.
Same bullshit, different island, Killer muses via the wisdom of too much sake in his blood. Different ocean altogether, and there’s no fondness in that.
Home isn’t a place for Killer but a feeling, the one he gets with full sails fluttering above and Kidd up front, hair wild in the wind.
Freedom’s a fickle thing, as quickly lost as it is gained with how complacent the masses tend to get. At sea it’s just them and their ship against the elements, life and death a matter of seeing the storm coming and having the guts to spit in its face.
Alone on that roof, Killer grins around the straw. That’s the shit worth living for, day after day after day.
Down there is Kidd, the red flash of his hair one Killer seeks out by sheer habit; his silhouette against the dying bonfire is imposing, that ridiculous coat hanging big and imperial off his shoulders. If he focuses, Killer could probably make out what he’s yelling about with… Strawhat’s navigator? Killer squints, infusing his sight with Haki where the dark and the holes in his mask fail him.
Yeah, that’s Nami. She says something, hands on expensive fur. She’s grinning, innocent and cunning all at once and that’s why they call her a cat, huh?
Killer considers cranking up the audio sensitivity on his helmet. Considers it, and tosses the thought right out the metaphorical window. Kidd’s a big boy, he can defend his precious coat from a thief. Nami, presumably, also knows what she’s getting into, poking the bear like that.
A long sip of sake later and Killer nods to himself. A good, rational choice.
His bottle is decidedly past half-empty when Roronoa Zoro finds him. Killer is not surprised, has felt him wandering around for a while now – there are two bottles of sake in his hands, his gait utterly steady despite the rosy tinge to his cheeks.
A heavy drinker, Killer’s heard that. He polishes off his drink to gesture to one of Zoro’s.
“You’ve got good timing, Pirate Hunter.”
“Who says it’s for you?”, Zoro asks with a snort, and gives him the second bottle anyways. When he sits, he does so with the kind of controlled grace many of Wano’s people wield, that flawless rigidity speaking of a life of discipline.
The way he drinks is the exact opposite of that. Interesting.
Killer concentrates on getting the straw through the narrow neck of the pitcher for a moment. The first sip proves it’s decent stuff; Killer’s mouth shapes itself around a pleased hum.
“You ever think about why the Marines call us what they do?”
It certainly makes Killer pause. Zoro doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to dabble in meaningless small talk – then again, what does Killer know? He turns his head to be able to see the look on Zoro’s face, watches the man nurse his sake with a pensive expression.
“‘Pirate Hunter’… Been a pirate longer than I was hunting ‘em. They could get the hint, y’know.”
They’re doing this, then. Pretending they weren’t at each other’s throats a mere week or two ago, like Zoro didn’t witness the side of Killer he loathes enough to hide it, always.
Fine. Killer can roll with that. “Which would you prefer? ‘Demon of the East Blue’?”
Zoro laughs and it’s so easy for him. “Now that’s one I haven’t heard in a while. You’ve been snooping, huh?”
“Sure as fuck not going into an alliance blind”, says Killer and it’s a bit pointed, a bit of a warning. They came back from war mere days ago but there’s room for blood when it comes to protecting their own.
“Mh. Wonder what that’s like.”
… Right. The guy’s the right hand of Strawhat Luffy, after all.
They drink, and Killer watches his captain. “The Marines don’t know shit, anyways.” A low hum to his side, prompting. Agreeing, perhaps. “Incompetent bastards thought I was the one to look out for when we made ourselves known, back in South Blue.”
“So ‘Massacre Soldier’ was, what, a misunderstanding?”
That makes Killer chuckle, a low ff ff ff sound. “Nah. Just that Kidd’s worse.”
“Ah.”
And it seems whatever else Zoro wants to add to that will have to wait. Even from afar Killer can feel it when Kidd’s eyes land on him and he sighs. “Speak of the devil. You might wanna get out of here.”
The sake stops on its way to Zoro’s mouth. “Huh?”
“Just giving you a fair warning, ’s all. Kidd kinda hates your guts over the whole”, a vague gesture to his own chest, “thing. He likes to keep grudges.”
“… Huh?”
Killer shrugs. It’s too late anyways. “Here he comes.”
“Hey! You!”
It doesn’t matter if he’s tipsy or drunk or whatever: Wrangling Kidd is something Killer grew up doing, and he stares him down now as Kidd pulls himself towards them by the metal in Killer’s mask. Hands up, no hesitation – Killer catches Kidd by the scruff of his coat, an arm winding around Kidd’s waist with enough strength to crush a smaller man and barely enough to drag this particular fool away.
To his credit, Zoro stays exactly where he is, his face blooming into something strangely close to delight. “Hah! You weren’t kidding.”
“Never am”, Killer tells him. He’s wheezing a little with how hard Kidd is struggling against his grip. “Captain! Fucking hell, you promised.”
“Didn’t promise shit”, Kidd hisses, a distinct slur to his words that Killer recognizes without trouble. Wasted indeed. “Roronoa! Hands off my partner!”
Zoro laughs – not the best of moves, Killer thinks with a wince – until his swords start vibrating. The smile drops real fast, then, becoming more of a tense smirk as he grabs on to that white katana of his.
“Oi, Spikey. Play nice now.”
All Kidd does is redouble his efforts, a whirlwind of bulging muscle in Killer’s arms and oh, Killer has had it. He presses his face against Kidd’s neck, his mouth only an inch or two away from his ear where they’re separated by Killer’s mask.
“Eustass fucking Kidd”, he growls. “Stop it or I will end you.”
Wasted or not, a shudder goes through his partner at that. It always does when Killer says his name like that. Killer knows, whatever happens now:
They both have a long night ahead of them.
*
Frantic hands, gasps of breath, lipstick smeared beyond hope between one kiss and the next. A moan, quiet against the sounds of belts being undone.
Killer pushes Kidd, gaze on him and only him as he bounces a little on the bed – their bed – and stares up at Killer. Eyes red as dusk, shining with the feral grin on his lips.
Killer gets on his knees for Kidd, always for him, and even if his blood wasn’t a-buzz with residue anger and alcohol, the way Kidd says “Fuck, Killer, yes” would get him there for sure. Trembling with it, Killer’s fingers hook into the waistband of Kidd’s pants to pull him closer, just where he wants him.
Kidd’s boots land on solid ground with a wooden thud. Legs splayed and Killer in the middle.
“You always have to make a mess”, Killer tells him, holds him down with one hand and the other working on his fly, “always so reckless”, and fuck, Kidd’s hard already. Hot and velvet-smooth in Killer’s palm and Killer forgets about chewing him out, for a moment.
It’s been weeks. Weeks since they’ve had time for this, hell, since Killer could even think about needing Kidd beyond the comfort his mere presence brings. With that infernal smile on his lips and his lungs clenching around the need to laugh, nothing would’ve come of it anyways.
Killer leans over and breathes Kidd in, gives him a gentle kiss, over the delicate vein that throbs under his lips. “We’re not done”, he lets him know, voice having lost most of its edge; Kidd laughs, runs a hand through the messy bangs falling into Killer’s eyes.
“I sure hope not. C’mon, don’t–”
Whatever Killer isn’t supposed to do gets lost in a moan. Kidd is big in Killer’s mouth, big and so familiar and Killer feels Kidd’s fingers tighten where they make a desperate grab for his hair. It makes him groan around the cock sliding over his tongue, again as he swallows around him and Kidd’s thighs jolt under the weight pinning them down.
Kidd is loud, it’s who he is, but there’s something about the cut-off calls of Killer’s name that gets to him. That makes him throw any sense of taking things slow to the wind and suck cock like he means it, lids fluttering shut and painted lips wide as he takes his captain as far down as he can get him without choking.
It’s been a while and it feels so good.
“Just like that, K. Keep goin’ just like that, don’t stop, fuck–”
And Killer feels his muscles shift under his hand, fingers splayed across Kidd’s abs straining with the need to move. Later, he might let him – can feel his own cock ache in too-tight jeans with the thought of Kidd holding him down and using him until he’s sated.
For now, he wants to get Kidd off, to hear his voice crack as it only does when he’s trembling on that edge.
It doesn’t take long at all, Killer’s lips and tongue and mouth dragging him there with no mercy for how breathless Kidd gets. “Kil”, Kidd gasps a warning; Killer hums, pulls off to catch the tip between his lips and jack him off the rest of the way, his hand easily gliding over spit-slick skin–
Kidd comes just like that, spilling into Killer’s mouth in twitching spurts. Given the garbage Kidd calls a diet he doesn’t taste the best but it’s Kidd, it’s the man Killer has hardwired his brain to adore no matter what. Killer moans softly, reaches down to rub himself as Kidd’s fingers release their death grip and sort of… pet him instead.
“Fuck me, darling, next time I’m horny I’ll just piss you off on purpose.”
Wiping his mouth, Killer huffs, “You already do that”, follows the trail of red leading up to Kidd’s navel with his lips. “You’re insufferable.” Licks along the valleys of his ripped stomach to kiss away the sweat gathering in the scar bisecting his pecs. “And we’re not done.”
Kidd rumbles a groan, pulls Killer into an open-mouthed kiss. The cold touch of metal worms its way under Killer’s shirt, in stark contrast to the need in Killer’s veins. It makes him shiver. “Kidd”, whispers Killer into that filthy kiss and it sounds like please, like more.
“Mh, I got you. Take this off, baby, let me see you.”
A demanding tug to Killer’s jeans. Killer doesn’t think twice about it: It’s a relief to get rid of them, the fabric starting to cling to his legs with how hot he’s running, and Killer throws off his boots and shirt to places unknown while he’s at it. Rolls his shoulders where they’re still a bit stiff from carrying his scythes all day.
Kidd is watching him, a hand on his own cock even if it won’t get hard quite yet. Leaning back in a sea of fur with the effortless grace of a king and the look of arrogant expectation to match. Killer meets it as he ties his hair into a loose knot to get it somewhat out of the way, nodding at him.
“You too. Or do you want me to tear ‘em off of you?”
How dark Kidd’s eyes can get. Those are his favorite pants though – Killer decides to be nice about it, unties Kidd’s boots enough for him to kick them off and save the rest of his clothes from an untimely demise.
Well, most of them. When Kidd makes to shrug off the coat Killer stops him. “Keep it.” His hands are on those suede-clad shoulders he’s been salivating over for hours now. “Keep the fur, Kidd”, an order he has no right to give, fingers clawed as they burrow between that softness and a heat that’s all Kidd.
It gets a look of genuine surprise out of Kidd. That, along with a pleased smile, closed-lipped. “Like it that much, do ya?”
Killer hums, “It’s soft”, kisses him, hides his own smile against demanding lips and the warning bite of teeth. “Makes me want to fuck you on it. Got a problem with that?”
“Shit, you kidding? Let’s ruin it.”
As much as he’s an impudent little shit anywhere else, here, coming alive under Killer, Kidd is all eager compliance and greedy hands across Killer’s back; it shouldn’t be as addicting as it is, the notion that this – the needy panting in his ear, the flush high in Kidd’s cheeks and spilling down to his chest – is all Killer’s. Only his, nobody else’s.
Killer slows down, then. Once Kidd has scrambled for the slick they keep around and Killer’s got his hands warmed up, he takes his time. Pushes one of Kidd’s legs to the side, keeps him there while he stretches Kidd finger by finger and fuck, he’s tight, clenching impatiently where Killer pushes in knuckle-deep.
“You’re killing me”, Kidd says, whines really, easily worked up by the twist of Killer’s fingers in him. Kidd’s prosthetic clings to Killer’s shoulder, his other hand in his own hair and tugging. “I’m ready, just – get in there!”
Killer is willing to rush a lot. Not this, though, never this.
“Shut up and relax”, he grumbles but he kisses Kidd, too, along the jagged edges of the scar down his face and his neck to suck on his clavicle. Kidd moans shamelessly, hips bucking into Killer’s curling fingers as he adds another.
Seeking that burning stretch before Killer can stop him. Killer curses, pulls out.
“Don’t complain later. You wanted this.”
Kidd tosses his head back into the covers and laughs. “Yesss. Fuck me, c’mon.”
Smug asshole. More slick, dripping from Killer’s cock to the fur below. The glide of his hand as he spreads it is already a lot, the sight of Kidd’s muscular neck bared and vulnerable hitting Killer somewhere instinctive, primal.
Deep down, Killer doesn’t want to wait either. He props himself up on one elbow, a mere inch or two separating their faces – and he stares at Kidd when he guides himself inside. At the way his mouth goes a little slack with it, the flare of his nose at the threadbare breath that follows.
“Good”, Killer tells him, catches Kidd’s gaze that’s barely past half-lidded. Licks over his bottom lip and kisses him, chaste as to not distract him from that first, long thrust.
“Doing so well, Kidd, almost there.”
Kidd feels sinful around him, warm and fluttering with tension that melts under the gentle thrusts Killer opens him up with. Leaning up to nip at Killer’s beard, his chin, and Killer indulges him, pushes his tongue into his mouth, slowly, languidly. Swallowing the soft noises Kidd makes as Killer hoists him up higher in his lap, Killer’s knees sliding apart in sleek fur.
He fucks him just like that, arms steady around Kidd and locking him in place when Killer finds a pace he can keep up for a while. Kidd fights it at first, he always does, not the kind of man to lie there and take it – Killer nuzzles his jaw, “It’s okay, let go, let go”, words that he knows Kidd needs to hear, cocky as he may act. Kidd’s breath shudders out of him and he does, finally relenting against the angle that makes him come undone each and every time.
Letting Killer sink in to the hilt and he groans, bites at Kidd’s throat and the pulse thundering there. “Good, so good for me.”
He rocks them both, hard enough to make Kidd shift against the fur. Kidd’s legs tighten where they’re tangled with Killer’s and he whimpers, far enough out of his head not to care what he sounds like anymore. A sound that burns in Killer’s gut, his chest, mouth open and panting over Kidd’s skin as he does it again and again and again.
It’s Kidd’s fingers going for the bundle of Killer’s hair and holding on; the feeling of Kidd’s prosthetic drawing red, stinging lines down the length of Killer’s back. “Kidd”, Killer mutters, demands, “Kidd–”
Kidd pulls at blonde strands coming loose, hard. “Whatever you want, K. Whatever you want, please–”
Voice gone, hoarse with the things Killer is doing to him.
Something in Killer snaps. The coat is torn open: Killer hears some of the seams pop in some places and he doesn’t care, mind and soul focused on turning Kidd around and getting him on his hands and knees.
“Fuck”, Kidd half-gasps, half-moans, “fuck–”
Then Killer is inside him again, sweating skin slapping against sweating skin, and his lips trace the shivers racing up Kidd’s spine, the faint freckles dotting Kidd’s shoulders. Kidd, Kidd, Kidd, his senses sharp as knives and hands roaming over what’s his, all his.
Whatever sounds Kidd is making, they are beyond words as he drops to his elbows and bends his back, pushing back into every hard shove of Killer’s hips. Killer moans, loud and breathless – feels Kidd clench around him and he gets a hand on Kidd’s cock, hard and leaking all over the coat, that fucking coat.
For the second time Kidd’s voice trembles, breaks apart on a high ah! as Killer squeezes him tight, so tight. Kidd comes around a choked noise and Killer keeps fucking him, his own peak tantalizingly in reach, not quite–
Kidd goes utterly boneless but there’s determination in the sliver of his eyes, the rasp of “keep goin’, want to feel ya”, and Killer grabs onto his hair just to tilt his head to the side and kiss him.
Over and over Killer takes him, covering Kidd with his bulk and it melts his brain, how Kidd just lets him. How Killer doesn’t have to hold back with him, going as deep as he possibly can and barely coming up for air until he loses himself in it, in Kidd.
Shaking apart above him, head bowed against the nape of Kidd’s neck. Killer rolls the last few thrusts just to feel how slick Kidd is, how well he takes him like this.
After that: A head full of static, numb limbs, cooling sweat.
“Hey, Kil.”
It’s Kidd’s voice that guides him back, “You there?”, the gentle motions of Kidd’s hand brushing the tie out of Killer’s hair and letting it fall around them. Killer pushes into that touch, humming. So comfortable.
“Babe, I kinda need to breathe here.”
Killer laughs and it’s fine like that, low and muffled against Kidd’s neck. “That so?”, he mumbles but he gets the hint, pushing himself to the side with a tired groan.
“Mmh. My head’s all fuzzy.”
“Yeah?” A hand slaps down on Killer’s chest, rough knuckles rubbing over the half-healed wound there. “From drinking or from fucking me to oblivion?”
Ff ff ff, Killer makes. He feels so light.
“Both, probably.”
Yeah, Killer is allowed a little smugness, too: Kidd’s hair is all mussed, lips red from kissing, neck covered in fresh, rose-colored bruises. Well used and looking like he doesn’t plan on moving even if the Punk’s cannons started firing around them.
Definitely worth slaying the coat over, Killer decides.
Still, when Killer takes Kidd’s hand in his, it’s all tenderness. Killer’s thumb brushes over Kidd’s knuckles, the same spot he presses a soft kiss to. Kidd lets him, squeezing back.
Their fingers entangle without really having to think about it, years of partnership in a single touch; and with the Punk's gentle sway all around them, they allow themselves to drift.

LuNa prompt: a little quiet moment between them, maybe after the fishmen island arc?
Yes, it took me a while. I’m sorry, but I’m still having some writing problems. However, that’s what I was able to come up with, so I hope you like it! By the way, I chose the party at the end of FI because after they leave, everything starts to be really rushed.
The gates of the Ryuuguu Palace were open for them as if the Strawhats were their true royalty, their only saviors. Or their heroes, as they have been calling them the whole day, and, in particular, right now at Luffy's face.
He is fuming. Nami could see by the frown in his face and the white knuckles of his hand. She has been watching him arguing with a Fishman for a while and couldn’t help setting free a soft smile. The red-haired had missed him so much that she couldn't put it into words.
Two years. Two long years.
Two lonely years without hearing him scream for meat, or trying to make her mind to go to a definitely dangerous island under the pretext of being a simple adventure, or even without seeing his sleepy face early in the morning.
She missed him and there is too much longing in her chest.
All of them would be off to yet another adventure soon and things would be crazy as it has always supposed to be. Nami just needs a few minutes before chaos comes knocking at their door.
She asks the assistance of two mermaids to help her change from her flounder to the one where Luffy is still arguing with the man. It’s comforting to see him being childish again and throwing tantrums around. This makes her feel at home as if she’s in her bed in Cocoyasi Island or under Belle-mère loved tangerines. Luffy and the crew are her second family and second home after all.
And Luffy is definitely her safe haven.
Nami approaches her exasperated captain, bonking his head, while thanking the Fishman for his kind words and "no, we're not heroes, we did for our friends, please don’t call us hero again unless you want my captain to beat you up, thank you very much".
The poor (and now scared) Fishman leaves and Luffy deliberately slumps to the ground, angrily pouting and attacking a chunk of meat. How the hell I ended up following this kind-hearted moron?
So she calmly sits down and locks him in an embrace from behind. Nami feels him wobble, but she rests her head on the back of his head anyway, her breath tickling his shoulders. Then mumbles, loud enough for only him to hear and low enough to not attract any attention to their conversation, "Luffy, can I stay here for a moment?"
He looks over his shoulders, the meat now forgotten, "Hm? Okay."
Then Nami inhales deeply, thinking her words carefully, putting all the sentences together in the same way she has practiced since the day they all met again, adjusting the tone of her voice and finally, calming her anxious heart.
She does take a while because Luffy is about to turn around when he mutters, "Nami—".
Nami hugs him tighter and replies, annoyed. "Shh. Lemme speak."
Luffy has no idea how nervous she is, but complies anyway, "Mm-hm. Okay."
Then she closes her eyes and sighs. "I missed you."
"Ah! Shishishi, me too—"
"Shut up and lemme speak, you idiot", he clamps his mouth shut and nods, letting her continue, "I'm sorry, Luffy. For everything. I… I wished I was there, by your side. I'm your freaking navigator and I— I wasn’t there."
Luffy raises his hand and pats her head, and she can feel the comforting gesture. The captain doesn’t say a word as she demanded, so his hand is the only indication he is listening to her attentively. He’s still amazing with people.
Warm skin under her palms makes her cuddle more until she feels the scar in his chest. A memory of a bad incident, forever engraved in his body. Nami opens her eyes, wide in complete shock — she had seen it the moment they all got together again, but she hadn’t felt it.
Then she’s trembling and crying, almost sobbing out of control, "I'm so sorry, Luffy, I'm so so sorry—"
The complete opposite of what she meant to do. Great, Nami. You did everything you promised not to do, she thought. Luffy stops stroking her hair and his hands envelop hers, halting the way Nami is almost scratching the skin in his chest as if she could remove that X mark.
Maybe one day, if she uses the right amount of force, she’ll be able to tear that scar off, along with the pain that was inside. Who knows.
"There wasn't a day,” a sob, “I didn't think about you, Luffy,” another uncontrolled sob, “Not a single day I wasn't worried about you. I’m sorry. I really am."
Maybe Luffy decided that enough is enough and disentangles her hands from his torso; Nami is instantly startled, afraid that she might have crossed a line, but already with an apology in the tip of her tongue when her unpredictable captain simply turns around, embracing her with his soothing arms and heart.
“Nami. It’s okay. It has already happened and it’s in the past,” Luffy steps away a little so he could wipe her remaining tears and continues, “I’m here. I got hurt, but I’m here, you moron.”
Then Luffy holds her face with both hands and kisses her temple lightly. So simple and so lovable that Nami doesn’t how to react. There’s too much noise around her, Fishmen and Mermaids singing and dancing, but the moment his lips met the side of her face, with the smell of meat and booze surrounding him, Nami wasn't able to hear anything but her heart.
Drumming in her ears to the point she could count the heartbeats.
His arms embrace her waist again and her Captain nuzzles in her hair, speaking softly and reassuringly. “We're all together again, Nami~! This time we're not splitting! Now I'm strong enough to stop that, shishishi!”
His laugh reverberates through her chest, making her smile along and the comfort resting under her skin. I guess he's drunk, but I know he means it.
All of a sudden, he squeezes her, and Nami's hands jerk. She narrows her eyes, warily and attentive to any reaction from him (as it has always been since back then), but the boy doesn’t show any other response. She only has the intensity of his hold as an indication that he has something on his mind.
Minutes pass and when Luffy doesn’t seem to free her from his hold, Nami starts to get worried. She frowns, searching for help frantically, but none of her crewmates are anywhere to be seen. The people around are so engrossed in the party and drinking, that no one notices her desperate expression. Something is wrong with her captain and she doesn’t know what it is.
Then the sobs began — one, two, three until his whole body was shaking. Now she could feel tears running down her back without a doubt and a surge of helplessness crop up under her skin. That’s really not what I was planning.
“Oe, Luffy, are you—,” Nami starts, carefully, but she can’t even finish before he’s stumbling over his words, much as she did a few minutes ago.
“Nami~~! I missed you guys so much!! I wanted to see you all again, wanted to fish with Usopp or play with Chopper and do some stupid things or even hear you scream at me for doing the said stupid things!! Nami~~!”
Luffy is crying at the top of his lungs, tears sprouting from his eyes and a snot threatening to fall. Clearly drunk. It’s a funny and gross vision, but Nami just does the same he had done for her — delicately, she wipes his tears, grabs his shirt and cleans the snot, and then kisses his forehead.
“It’s okay, Luffy. As you said, we’re all together again. You’re fine, I’m fine, we’re all fine,” she rests her forehead in his and whispers, “I’ve really missed you, I’ve really missed us all.”
He laughs and she does too. Then their bubble of serenity pops when Usopp and Chopper show up, calling out for Luffy and swinging a huge chunk of meat, as if they are trying to lure him to participate in any stupid activity they invented. The meat, obviously, catches his attention, but he stays put, waiting for Nami to set him free or not. Food is his passion, but so is the welfare of his friends.
Luffy keeps looking back and forth between her brown eyes and the juicy meat and yes, Nami is keeping him in place because she’s having fun. However, Luffy is a really required man, everyone wants a bite of him and she has already taken a lot of the famous captain’s time.
“Go ahead, Captain. Thanks for your time,” she winks at him and turns to leave with a more light heart.
But a gasp slips past her lips the moment Luffy pulls her by her wrist and stuns her by giving her a quick peck. Simple, chaste, fleeting. Nami’s lips tingle right off the bat, but the curious thing is that Luffy seems completely unaffected, might have not even noticed what he had just done. With two fingers touching her mouth, she just laughs it off while watching his back. He must be very drunk, this stupid man.
Then Luffy stops dead on his tracks and looks at her over his shoulder, saying with a very lucid voice, “I’m not, shishishi! See ya later, Nami~!” and running, happy as ever, to where Usopp and Chopper are standing.
Nami loses the count of how many times she blinked. Soon after getting out of her dazzled state, she snorts, totally flustered. Great, another thing to miss about him. Fucking dumbass.

Christmas shopping with PTSD
Yup, you heard me.
Let’s just get things straight, crisp and clear before I even begin.
Straight from NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
“Traumatic events—such as AN ACCIDENT, assault, military combat or natural disaster—can have lasting effects on a person’s mental health. While many people will have short term responses to life-threatening events, some will develop longer term symptoms that can lead to a diagnosis of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD symptoms often co-exist with other conditions such as substance use disorders, depression and anxiety.”
[Let me be clear. I’m not trying to self diagnose here. Because I haven’t been diagnosed with PTSD by my psychiatrist, primary care doctor or therapist (yet). And I feel like that may be because I haven’t met with my psychiatrist since... October?
“I think you’re doing well!” she said, because I was finally on a combination of medications with no day-to-day side affects that were interrupting my daily living. “Let’s meet again in... two months!”
At the time this sounded fine to me. But two months have gone by, and I have gone completely off my rocker.
We were supposed to meet on Wednesday morning at 10:00am, but after the trauma I experienced Tuesday night, and the mere three to four hours of sleep I got... that totally wasn’t happening. So now we’re meeting on Friday afternoon, and I’ll have to give her the low down on my life right now and see what she says.]
ANYWHO!
Yesterday my mom came in my room and “asked if I wanted to go to Marshal’s to do some Christmas shopping with her. I put “asked” in quotes, or air quotes, because I didn’t really have a choice. She knows I’m down in the dumps right now, and she thought she was doing me a service by getting me up and out of my bed, my room, and maybe my depressing thoughts.
But the thing about depression, at least for me, is that the thoughts don’t just go away because I’m out Christmas shopping. Or in this situation, the thoughts and blurry flashbacks of the traumatic event I had experienced just FOUR days before, are still stuck to my brain like a wad of gum on the bottom of a shoe. Which I think is “normal” considering what I have gone through. But I don’t think my mom fully understands that.
Especially since, on the way to Marshal’s, we literally passed the exact location where my traumatic event occurred.
The thoughts of the night weigh on me like a bowling ball on my chest, or a backpack with two bowling balls in it, that I am carrying around and can only put down when I’m asleep at night.
Meaning... when we’re in line, outside Marshal’s, waiting to get inside (nothing says 2020/COVID more than that), all I can think about is the traumatic event that I experienced. And how I’m jealous of my mom and all of the people that can just live right there, in the present moment. Right now... it feels like I’ll never be able to do that again.
Walking around inside of Marshal’s, I felt like a shy, pre-pubescent child, following her mom around, deathly afraid of what would happen or how her mom would feel if she lost her in the store. I was afraid to look people in the eyes, fearful of... “What if the police officer or someone from four nights ago is here and sees me?”
This also had an impact on what I was going to wear to the store, too. I was afraid to wear my FILA sneakers because I had worn them four nights before when I was arrested and put in the hospital. “What if someone sees my sneakers and my height and my blonde hair and remembers that it was me and says something in front of my mom?”
A “normal” 23 year old should be able to go Christmas shopping with her mom, live in the present moment, and feel uplifting feelings of joy and happiness for the Christmas season and spending quality time with her mom... but that’s not where I am right now at all.
*Clenches jaw*
I feel like I am trapped in my own head and I am the only one who understands how I feel and that I am feeling these heavy things.
I am carrying weight around with me, every minute of every day. And it makes it harder to live.
My mom says my parents have been “nothing but kind to me,” but I also feel like if I misstep and do one thing to even slightly upset them or displease them, I’ll be in even more trouble and set back even further than I already am. So I feel like I’m living every day in pursuit of doing everything I can possibly do to please them... and repressing my own thoughts, feelings and emotions along the way.
I feel like this blog, and kind of my talks with my best friend, boyfriend and therapist are my only safe spaces. And I feel stuck because I feel like I visit the place of pursuit in pleasing my mom and family way more than I visit my safe spaces, where I can release my own inner thoughts and emotions.
I’m pushed and pushing myself to get out of my bed and out of my room so that I’m not alone and stuck in these dark, heavy thoughts. But when I leave my room, my ultimate safe space, I’m forced to play a character who has to put on a happy face, be helpful, not misstep.
Someone who has to act like she’s not suffering internally when doing the tiniest of seasonal tasks like Christmas shopping or watching Rudolph.
My palms are sweaty. My throat is tight.
And I’m already nervous about leaving my room and seeing my mom, because she snapped on me last night when I told her (instead of asking her) that my boyfriend was going to come over for a few hours at 8:30/9:00pm. Because we’re not allowed to hang out in my room anymore. We have to hang out in the family room. And that means “kicking my mom out” of the family room where she was watching her 1000th awful Lifetime Christmas movie (and it’s only December 6th).
She snapped. I got upset. Went silent and emotionless. And that got me in ever more trouble. Told, “You better watch yourself.”
Thinking about that makes my throat even tighter, and my body even colder.
Even though I did a meditation on “happiness,” and my gratitude journal, and personal development reading about the ego or the “big snooze,” it doesn’t make these thoughts and feelings magically go away.
But there were some quotes in my reading that I wanted to take note of, and I guess I’ll end with today.
One, “When taking great leaps forward, life often turns to shit before it turns to Shinola.”
And two, “Growth ain’t for weenies, but it’s nowhere near as painful as living the life you’re living right now if you’re not really going for it. If you want to take control of your life and turn it into something spectacularly you, stop and nothing. Have faith. Trust that your new life is already here and is far better than the old. Hang tight if the Big Snooze pitches a fit. Whatever happens, stay the course, because there’s nothing cooler than watching your entire reality shift into one that is the perfect expression of you.”
I just don’t know what the “perfect expression” of me is. It’s confusing when you’re multi-passionate and multi-talented. And I’m not tooting my own horn. I get lost because I could make a Youtube channel and sing and play piano. Or I could be a photographer. Or a writer. Or something in marketing or communications, which is what my mom wants. Or something in health and fitness, like a personal trainer or a yoga instructor.
I told Matt that if we have a future together and if he opens up his own gym, I would get my yoga certification and teach yoga classes there. And maybe do photography or blogging or something else on the side.
All I know is when I read the words “the perfect expression of you,” asking Matt for his NASM book back and starting to study personal training again is the first thing I thought of. I’m not sure if that’s my answer.
I’m not sure who I am. But here’s to another day of improving myself and figuring it out.

Yay, I’m so excited that requests are open again! Here’s mine: How would Kid, Law, Zoro, and Ace react to their s/o being suggested by the crew to go on a mission to seduce the enemy, and they go? Who would be supportive, who would be like “hell no”, etc? I’m not sure what your character limit is, so definitely take out a character if I have too many! Thank you and have a great day!! 🥰
Ahhhh this is the first ask I've had with Kid in it and I love him. I LOVE HIM. So this was a lot of fun, I changed it from s/o to crush because I think if its s/o the boys have more say in whether or not they want their partner to do it and we dont want that!! Also I dropped Ace because 3 Is my character limit at the moment! Hope you enjoy @cleverusername-123 this was a great ask!
Kid, Law and Zoro reacting to their Crush seducing the enemy!
Tumblr media
Kid
. As soon as one of the crew suggest that you are the one to seduce the marines guarding the door Kid is instantly pissed off.
. You don't dismiss the idea straight away, instead you take a few minutes to think it over in your head, working out the possible issues. Which is even worse.
. Kid finds it hard to sit through those minutes without fidgeting - fighting down the urge to shout down the proposal before you've said anything.
. Because, technically, you aren't his. Yet.
. And he knows that. But it doesn't mean he's going to be happy about you flirting with some other guys right in front of him. Even if it is for the benefit of the crew.
. When you say you'll do it, Kid clenches his fists so tight that his nails cut into his palms and he has to repeat in his head that you can do what you like, you aren't his. You aren't his. Damn it.
. "Nah, that's a stupid plan, think of something else," He throws out anyway, shoving his hands in his pockets.
. And he feels this heat coiling in his stomach when you look over at him, one eyebrow raised and that half smirk on your face (the one that drives him crazy) like you know what he's thinking.
. "You don't think I can do it, Captain?" You ask innocently, and it makes him want to shove you up against a wall and do awful things to you. But he does't, he just snarls in response.
. So you head back to the ship to get changed and when you come back he really struggles not to man handle you. You're dressed to kill, and it fucking turns him on. He has no doubt that you'll manage your objective. He hates this.
. Kid and the rest of the crew watch from a shadowed alley as you stride towards the guards, walking past them at first then back tracking like they caught your interest. The marines are immediately all over you and you start flirting hard.
. Twirling your hair and pressing a hand to one of the guards chests. They hear your laugh echo across the street, low and seductive and it sends chills up Kid's spine.
. One of the guards reaches out and touches your cheek.
. Killer doesn't even bother to try and stop his Captain when he breaks from their cover, stomping over to where you are standing, bits of metal already swirling angrily around him as he goes.
. One of the guards shouts a warning while the second one shoves you behind him to keep you from getting hurt. But you know Kid isn't coming for you, and you know your plan has flown completely out the window.
. Kid doesn't even use his devils fruit ability. He just stalks over and punches the first guy in the face, hard enough that you hear bones breaking. The second guard doesn't last much longer.
. "You know I almost had the keys, right?" You say, hands on your hips, trying to look annoyed as Kid glowers at you.
. "Don't care," He snarls already reaching for you. "Come here."
Tumblr media
Law.
. Right off the bat Law makes it clear that he doesn't like this idea.
. Trying to infiltrate a nobles resort to steal from them is fine. Having to seduce the bouncers in to letting you in is not.
. He's not against the plan because it's you that has been put forward to do the seducing, obviously. He would worry if any of the crew had to do it.
. But.. it is you.
. "Do you really think this is a good idea, Name-ya?" Law asks, frowning.
. "Can you think of a better one?" You reply, reasonably confident that all other avenues have been exhausted.
. Law tries not to clench his jaw because he has been wracking his brains to think of another plan - any other plan - and he has come up with nothing. His brain has failed him at the worst time.
. So now not only does he have to admit that he can't think of anything else but he has to let you go ahead with the original plan.
. When you emerge from your quarters in your swimwear Law makes a very valiant effort to not keep looking at you. He fails, but he tries. Especially when you ask he thinks you look okay.
. "It doesn't matter how I think you look, Name-ya," He says, pulling at the peak of his hat in an attempt to hide the light blush that has risen on his cheeks. "I'm not the one you've got to seduce."
. And then of course that is all he can think about.
. Bepo goes over the plan again with you and before you go Law pulls you aside, his fingers wrapping around your forearm, pulling you a little closer to him than is probably necessaryfor the conversation.
. "Are you sure you want to do this, Name-ya?" He asks.
. And you're confused because you've done things that were a lot more dangerous than this in the past and he's never acted like this before. But you tell him you'll be fine.
. "If you need me..." Law trails off because he doesn't know how to end that sentence. So you nod and go off on your way.
. Law will watch your progress like a hawk, he will tell himself it's just to make sure you are okay, and not because you look extremely good in that outfit.
. When you start flirting with the security guard Law will keep watching, in case you need him, but he won't enjoy it.
. He'll get this peculiar twist in his chest whenever you run your fingers along the guards arm, or laugh at something he said. You look like you're actually having a good time. And that... hurts.
. Law has an itch to send a room spinning out across you and just mince the guard in to little pieces. But he doesn't. That would defeat the whole purpose of this mission.
. So instead he waits and tries to squash any and all feelings. Anger, lust, jealousy.
. When you come back Law will congratulate you on completing your assignment, but he won't stick around to find out the details.
. Instead he will go back to his room. Sit at his desk, Trying not to think about you and how you make him feel.
. Trying not to think about how much he wants you.
Tumblr media
Zoro
. Zoro is conflicted because he doesn't quite know how he feels about you at the moment.
. But he knows he doesn't like this plan of Nami's.
. Why can't she be the one to get all flirty with the other pirates? It was her idea and she's the best suited to it anyway. But apparently she is going to be stealing stuff while you distract them.
. So he keeps quiet because you haven't complained about it and he doesn't want to be the only one to speak up - he doesn't want you to think that he thinks you can't look out for yourself.
. So he just sort of frowns and listens to his part in the plan and tries not to pay attention when you come back to join the group looking damn flawless.
. Zoro has never seen you in anything other than your day to day clothing, so seeing you like this makes something odd and entirely unknown flop around in his stomach.
. Very kindly, Robin subtly leans over and pushes his jaw back up.
. He can't stop blushing.
. Now he really, really doesn't like this plan.
. When you leave to approach your target he is watching you. He keeps an ear out for any interruptions, ready to step in if someone or something unexpected happens.
. If he strains Zoro can hear your conversation, and that makes him blush too because you aren't holding back.
. He accidentally imagines himself in the position of the other pirate and then gets flustered and resolutely reminds himself he is supposed to be on lookout.
. He does a good job at ignoring you until he hears you laugh - but it isn't your usual light laugh, it's forced.
. Zoro looks over and sees the pirate running a hand up your leg, touching all the exposed skin he can get at. Zoro's hand tightens on the hilt of one of his swords but he knows he can't act, not matter how much he wants to.
. And he does want to.
. He's never wanted to hurt someone for the sake of causing them pain but now he's thinking about it.
. To anyone else you look like you're having the time of your life, but Zoro knows you better than that. He knows your body language and he knows how uncomfortable you are.
. He watches as you place your hand over the Pirates, holding his hand in place to stop it roaming any further up your leg.
. Zoro sees Nami slip in behind you, her nimble fingers ghosting over the other Pirate to find her prize. Finally.
. But the Pirate is pushing you again, batting your hand away to slip under the fabric of your clothes and Zoro doesn't realise that he's moved until he is standing in front of you, sword half drawn.
. "You got a problem?" The Pirate asks, his words slurred as he looks up at Zoro. "I'm a little busy here."
. Nami disappears, giving Zoro a wink as she melts in to the crowd. Zoro lets a slow grin spread over his face as his sword inches further out of it's sheath.
. "I said, you got a problem?" The Pirate asks, pushing to his feet and letting you finally escape.
. "Yeah," Zoro answers finally, sword glinting in the half light of the bar. He casts a glance at you as you move to stand behind him, then back to the pirate. "I think I do."
