AU where, via time travel shenanigans, Danny Phantom ends up being the inciting incident that leads Vlad Masters to develop an interest in ghosts/the paranormal and pursue the field of study that leads to him meeting Jack&Maddie, and ultimately leads to him becoming a halfa. The other kid is Vlad's (probably non-existent) sister, Nadia, no I will not let go of her ever.

I had fun with this. I'm guessing Vlad was probably born roughly around the early to mid 60s if he attended college in the 80s, so those are the clothes I modeled the kids around. Striped shirts really were 'in' for boys back then...

see now that we've unlocked the Vex Arc Lore I can really get into this hehehe

So I think I've mentioned before, but Scar didn't grow up alongside vexes (other than Cub), so he's very new to all these instincts, but they are something he sort of has to lean on in order to survive sometimes. Even if they're new and scary and often uncharacteristically violent for him.

For starters, though, he can be overwhelmingly protective, almost possessive, and especially after the events with Juni. Scar doesn't trust a soul after that. Low growls and spectral wings flaring out angrily. Claws at the ready.

And then there's the biting... lol snippet from an rp a few weeks ago: (If someone had tried to tell him he’d be this into biting a year ago, he’d have thought they were crazy. And yet now it has such a sway on him, making him reconsider how capable he is of continuing this little ruse.)

It's not necessarily a violent thing. It's more about claim, about showing affection with his teeth. Visible mementos. Bragging to the world about their bond. (It was their thing long before Scar knew it was a vex thing. Predator and prey. Trust and vulnerability.)

I'd say the longer Scar stays at the Vex Commune, he also grows more emotional in a sense. Vexes channel their emotions for power, and now he's around many vex who do this on the regular. For instance, Nico's is effortless, constant, casual. Kane's is loud, rash, sudden. Scar is being influenced by those of his kind now, for better or for worse.

It's actually Nadia, who we've briefly mentioned, who wants Scar to stay true to himself before all else. To continue drawing power from love and virtue, lest he lose what makes him who he is.

I guess I forgot to post this but - last year I made a bunch of star trek OCs ! They're a group of friends who all serve abord the USS T'Sera during the late TNG era. I just really wanted to design a friend group made up of the four original federation founding members lol

Here's some info about them :

Khov is a xenobiologist. Quite the Andorian history nerd, he won't shut up about the Ch'eraotherh Dynasty (his Roman Empire).

His naturally emotional disposition as an Andorian especially expresses itself when he's nervous or under some pressure, making him seem jumpy or easily panicked. But he's as capable of doing his job and performing under pressure as any other Starfleet officer -  externalizing his emotions is just the way he regulates and keeps a cool head.

He's usually well spoken and witty (you need to when you're friends with Rog and Ketis) but when it comes to romantic encounters he easily gets flustered. He has a (not-so) secret crush on the chief of security of the T'Sera, which he is very embarrassed about

Nadia is a relief helmsman. She's very eager and optimistic, and motivated to move up in the ranks. She loves piloting and daydreams about saving the whole ship with her prowess at the helm (and maybe even have a maneuver named after her, why not !)

She's a space native, her parents worked on a deep-space cargo freighter.

She often appears chill and the "reasonable middle ground" in her friend's heated debates (which they call "human mediator syndrome").

She also loves discussing couple gossip and gives a lot of romantic advice despite never having been in a romantic relationship herself (she's probably aroace but hasn't really thought about it)

Rog is a security officer. He first met Ketis on his arrival day during his medical checkup - during which he got into one of the most fun arguments in his life, and they've been best friends since then.

He values honesty and despises bootlickers and people pleasers. In that he counts those who try to start an argument with him as a pleasing tactic - he wants his debates to be genuine, thank you very much !

He's also a bit of an order and cleanliness freak.

His job at security made him very observant and perceptive . He's also capable of functioning on very little sleep.

Ketis a medical technician. He genuinely enjoys his friend group of varied emotional species, he finds it stimulating and an intellectual challenge (as well as a test of his emotional repression). He also finds their reasoning and points of view interesting and is always taking them into consideration. All this makes him pretty critical of some vulcans' arrogance and sense of superiority over other species, which he considers an to be an emotional response.

He particularly likes debating and can hold a friendly argument tirelessly, which is always good when being friends with a Tellarite.

He suffers from motion/space sickness, which is rare for a vulcan - and especially for a vulcan in starfleet. He sort of became infamous for it on the ship after an incident where he threw up on the Captain (who he was taking care of in sickbay during a red alert). Good thing he's purely logical because that'd be really embarrassing !

He's very curious about what it's like to enjoy all kinds of experiences in your body, but he doesn't do anything until he knows you're comfortable with it (including changing)

Gets distracted/sidetracked every time they pass a mirror/window/shiny pot/remotely reflective surface because they like your face and it keeps surprising them to see it reflected back at them

Tells a trusted Palace servant that she is indisposed and that neither of you will be available today (because there's no way she's going to try to swap jobs with you)

You might be tempted to set yourself up in front of a mirror and see if there's any pose or outfit in the world that Nadia can't look elegant in. She'll have a very amusing time watching you

Portia will inevitably hear about her absence and stop by at some point, which will only ramp up the hilarity

Nadia does suggest sneaking out at some point, your body makes for a great disguise and a day on the town sounds fun!

(You still haven't figured out how to tell her that what sets her apart more than her appearance is her bearing. You've never seen your own posture look that good)

Speaking of posture, welcome to life in a body that's excellently cared for! You can stretch in every direction and nothing hurts!

Oh, he knows before he opens his eyes that something's off, because the furs feel unusually heavy over him and he's never shared a bed with anything bigger than he is

Speaking of, he had no idea that his body radiated that much heat. It's like lying next to a furnace (and it's more comforting than he expected. maybe you're onto something with all the snuggling)

He's violently uncomfortable with being in your body, mostly because he's assuming you'd like it back, and he doesn't want to do anything with it that you don't want him to

You, on the other hand, spend a day as the pilot of a body with unusual size and strength. You're going to have to be reeeeally careful not accidentally bump your head/break and tear stuff

What you choose to do with that is entirely up to you (and up to your body's capacity to contain Muriel's embarrassed blush)

He is going to request that the two of you stay in the woods and out of sight, which certainly makes things easier

Long story short, your day is going to consist of running after her while she comments on your "low energy levels" (they're not low, they're human) and wreaks havoc with your magical capacity

The fountain in the town square spouts glowing orange water for a week after she passes through. Even she isn't sure how she did it, so you just have to wait it out and hope it won't poison anyone

Don't misread this as him assuming that things are normal. He knows things are not normal, because he's getting human sensations from his left arm

But his first assumption is that this is because his arm magically grew back in the night, and his second assumption when he sees his own body next to him is that he's been cloned

You wake up because he's frantically calling your name, asking why his voice sounds so weird and if you had to clone him as part of getting his human arm back and where you've disappeared to

Shrieks and falls backwards off the bed when his clone's eyes open and you tell him what's happened from his own body

You, on the other hand, are going to spend all day figuring out how to function with a metal arm. It's nowhere near as easy as he makes it look, plus it makes that whole side of your body cold

Lucio insists on doing your eyeliner (on his face) because yes, he loves you, and yes, he trusts you, but that's his signature look and he needs it to be perfect

And then you're going to accidentally ruin his face anyways when you go to scratch an itch, forgetting about the claws on his hand

It's nothing compared to his attempts to use your magic

hunted hybrids au [hhau] is a scarian au that i share with @linkito - it’s self indulgent and rp-born, although there might be some drabbles and ficlets coming out of it (because we’re obsessed). 

the basic premise is that scar and grian got transported to and stuck in a permadeath world that’s actively cruel and dangerous to hybrids. the nature itself is set against them, providing next to no resources, and the weather keeps getting colder and colder. 

as an avian and a vex, they get relentlessly hunted—and getting caught means death. as they struggle to stay alive, they only have each other left. (desperately, they wish it could be enough.) 

they have no idea what happened to hermitcraft, or if their other friends are even alive, but they barely have time to think about that amidst the cold and the hunger, the fear and the pain. days stretch into months, and their hope of ever returning anywhere akin to home dwindles. (but maybe they can put together a different makeshift hope: a feeble little thought of maybe one day managing to get far away enough that nobody will follow anymore; maybe one day they could make a new home, or the closest thing to it they can manage. maybe this nightmare can have an end, if only they hold onto each other and keep going.)

Obviously the yanderes don’t “dislike” or “hate” their children, they are theirs and darlings children after all but now I feel like Kry treats them the “worst” if that makes sense, instead of breaking the cycle, he is raising his girls the way he was raised.

Maybe his expectations are not as unrealistic as his parents ones were but you can argue bed-bounding your child is worse.

Do correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like Kry sometimes forgets is girls are not an extension of him but their own people, they have their own thoughts, feelings, likes and dislikes but they should ignore those and listen to him because he’s their father and knows best.

I can imagine it’s extremely suffocating having a parent like Kry, constantly walking on eggshells because even regular normal things he may view as bad and there will be unfair consequences.

Oh no, no, no, EDMUND treats his kids the worst (unfortunately). He doesn't really like children, he just need heirs, but since he thinks that women aren't fit to be rulers, he's better to his daughter than his son. He's tougher on Ludwig because he needs to teach him things.

But I'm torn on Kry. I do feel that he is a good father, but he's definetly not the best among the yandere's (Hedwig is the best parent). He loves his girls to the moon and back, but he's unsure how to show that love.

You are right, he does see his children a bit as an extension of him, but that's because he WANTS them to succeed, wants them to have the best life they can have (money wise) so that they'll never have to worry ... but he forgets sometimes that they might not enjoy it. But he will always drive the girls to their extracurriculars, buy everything they need for their schoolworks/hobbies. He wants to encourage as much productivity as possible. But he'd never let them drop out of school and try to make it as a singer/author/actor etc since that isn't stable.

Dr Kry is, however, not unfair. In his childhood, he could never make mistakes or break things, which is why he will always let the girls explain their version of the incident before making judgement. If it's an accident, he will not be angry and will help them fix it and if it's something they've done out of anger/conciously he will punish them by grounding/extra chores etc. But he's absolutely on the "innocent until proven guilty" mindset for the twins.

Bed bounding your child is ... certainly a choice. Can't back him up on that one. The way he treats Nadia right after is also ... a bit too much. It's my fault for portraying him wrong in the first part. He would never actually leave Nadia, he just said that to scare her ... which ... also is a choice ...? Dr Kry had reached his breaking point and did thinks that is out of his character. I reread it and was like "...what", so i will try to show it better in part 2!!

Three men were injured after trying to subdue a man armed with a knife during afternoon prayers at a Montreal-area mosque Friday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 1:40 p.m. at the Centre Culturel Musulman in Châteauguay, an off-island suburb of Montreal.

Châteauguay police got a 911 call reporting that a man had entered the building on Saint Jean Baptiste Boulevard with a knife and then got into an altercation with people who were inside, said police spokesperson Nadia Grondin.

The three men are in their 50s and their injuries are not considered life-threatening. One of them was sent to hospital.

Police arrested the suspect, a 24-year-old man, who is set to be questioned by investigators.

"We are in touch with the local centre and will provide more information as it becomes available. Burnt hair REEKS. and the smell LINGERS. and after his graceless attempt at severing ties with nadia i dunno if he'd even want to. like. Continue carrying that energy with him. yk what i mean ...

like. later when he gets home orr to his dorm or something. i've always had this mental image in my head of zuke hunched in front of a mirror with a pair of scissors in his hand, hacking just above the scorched sections of his hair with a certain Look in his eyes as if he'd never really left the venue. it would be a direct parallel of before the performance . where he's preening his hair in the venue's dressing room, making sure his crown looks immaculate before he heads onstage

And Like. Hear me out ok. i know the logic is a bit flawed because hair doesn't grow from the ends but like. i often think that zuke's teal dyed ends are in some way representative of the hair he'd regrown since the rupturika incident ... vaguely in the realm of that trope/phenomenon in some movies/shows i've seen where a broken object gets fixed with magical powers or some shit and the reconstructed pieces are in a different, brighter color to contrast with what was once there. Ya know what i meaaann.....

He argues with the guards, screams at the people who sent for you to be arrested, and makes the racket of a lifetime

He's relieved when you tell him you didn't do it, and he clings to that belief like his life depends on it. You're the good thing in his life. Nobody takes away or denies him that good thing

All that pent up frustration needs an outlet of some kind, and that results in him hounding the assigned investigators instead into letting him help them

And help them he does - not with the books and papers, but with long nights and rabbit trails until the true culprit is found

Lynette was born in a loving home with caring parents and 3 older brothers. They were all followers of Kel.

Her brothers—from oldest to youngest, are: Aayan (33 y/o), Elias (27 y/o), Rowan (26 y/o). Lynette has a strong bond with all of them, they all have occasional hangouts where they catch up on everything they miss.

Aayan is a doctor, he was what inspired Lynette to become one as well. Elias is a temple guard, and Rowan is an architect!

Lynette's bond with her parents, Nadia and Samuel, is just as strong as the one with her brother—if not a little more. Her parents were strict but loving, making sure Lyn and her brothers are living comfortably and happily.

Lynette mostly had a normal childhood, the first major thing that happened..

I. At 7 years old. Lynette and her brother, Rowan, were attacked by a wolf halfblood. They weren't sure if he was drugged or just violent towards humans, all they knew was they were in danger and bleeding profusely. They were both saved by a dawnbreaker, unfortunately it was a little late for her brother—his vocal chords were completely destroyed, beyond saving. Rowan went mute after that, and Lynnette was both guilty and traumatized by this incident..

II. At 9 years old. Little Lyn had to stay with a distant family member that she didn't really...like. It was all going okay, up until the last day. She was stuck in a room with 'snakes' wrapping around her. It felt wrong, it was wrong.

Lynette never felt clean after that incident.

But she never spoke a word.

III. At 13 years old. Lynette meets Tony! Yes, that Tony. It was a slow developed friendship, but a loyal one. They were both great friends to each other, having hangouts every weekend where they pulled pranks, made makeshift jewelry for the other, and gave comfort when one of them was sad.

Lynette also started learning first aid from her big brother, Aayan. He taught her everything he knew, and little Lyn was a very fast learner. Memorising all the medical terminologies in less than a week.

IV. at 15 years old. Lynette officially sets her goal to be a doctor, and help everyone, including halfbloods. Her family was against it..the helping halfblood thing, especially after the incident with her brother. But they let her be, as long as she stays safe, that's what matters.

Her friends were confused about her decision.. especially Tony. Why would you help what hurt you? But they trusted her enough to not get too involved with halfbloods..

V. At 18 years old. Lynette graduated! This was an especially special day in her life! She can finally get started on her medical degree—and she does!

Another event that happened here..a day after her graduation, Tony confesses, and boy was the feeling mutual. And so..Tony and Lynette were officially a couple from then on!

VI. At 20 years old. Her goal to become a doctor was annoyingly slow..so, she decided she'll finish 2 more years, and become a wanderer, only to learn about all the different methods of healing, the different cultures of it. Her parents weren't too worried, her mother did the same thing when she was her age.

VII. At 22 years old. Lynette and Tony unfortunately decided to break up. Their views were far too different, it was like they were strangers to each other rather than lovers. So, they decided to part ways, and pretend they never knew each other.

This was also when Lynnette discovered the sanctuary, they were short on medical supplies and she offered her help—but of course, they were all extremely suspicious of her, but as time went on, she would gain everyone's trust.

VIII. At 23 years old. Lynette meets..Marco.

It was an interesting friendship..a halfblood and a human. Lyn found him injured in a forest, of course she had to help him, and she did.

And slowly, it turned from a friendship to a relationship.

-The nicknames Lyn and Annette were from her parents, pretty bug was from Tony, star eyes from Marco. She doesn't mind which nickname others call her.

however! The nickname "Artemis" was given to her by the halfbloods in the sanctuary. Since she'd take the role of both a protector and a healer for the younger creatures.

-she's mostly a complete mystery to all cities and kingdoms in all of Al'terra, but her life story is surprisingly very well known in the sanctuary.

-the scar on her cheek is from when she was attacked by the wolf halfblood.
