There's also other stuff i couldn't fit into it, like how he fits into the whole "70s gambler" archetype, he had slicked back hair (popular trope bcuz of greasers), genuinely likes people for personality which is always a nice change of pace in a lot of modern media, and it attracts a lot more aspec/arospec people, he's a good listener, and he probably attracts people with daddy issues (why Angel likes him, lmao)

I drew the characters from the Lorax movie in my own art style instead of Illumination’s while also practicing drawing backgrounds. I think it turned out great. I think Once still looks like himself which was important to me and I think pipsqueak looks so adorable. I think the sleepy little Lorax looks so cute too.

The idea behind this drawing was basically “if Once-ler’s family never showed up”. He didn’t start chopping trees down again until his mom made him so if they never showed up he probably would have just lived a peaceful life with the animals and the Lorax, selling thneeds at a lower rate.
