Final Space fans of Tumblr! There's a new campaign going on to save the show! One of the projects written off by Zaslav, Coyote vs. ACME, has been saved by being bought by a distributor! The same can be done for Final Space! Series creator Olan Rogers posted that a Netflix exec expressed interest in the show! “May I have a Tomcat fries but no pickles please? Oh, and an F-14 lemonade?”

“Sure, darlin’. And for yooou…oooh… uh… hi!”

‘Another one bites the dust’ Estera noted to herself and pressed her tongue hard against the back of her teeth in an effort not to laugh out loud at the poor woman. Scott, as ever, gave the appearance of not having noticed the waiting staff dissolving into jelly in front of him.

“I’ll get a Darkstar Shake, and a Maverick’s Madness with everything, please.”

The waitress paused, her finger hovering above the tablet.

“E-everything?”

“Everything.” Scott insisted with a cheeky smile and the waitress collapsed into giggles.

“Wow I don’t think there’s a button for that! You might need to give me a minute to tick all the boxes…”

“Take as much time as you need.”

The waitress started tapping frantically and Estera paused mid-eyeroll to double-check the full list of toppings.

“Scott you cannot have EVERYTHING… there must be at least 12 different sauce options alone not to mention all these cheeses and…”

“I’ve considered the options and made my choice.”

“But… bbq pulled pork, beef brisket AND shredded Asian chicken? Together?!”

“Yep.”

“AND BACON?”

“Oh, good point” He touched the waitress lightly on the elbow and apologised when she leapt into the air: “I’m so sorry, could I get extra bacon please.”

The waitress kept an admirably straight face as she scrolled back to make a note.

“Surely not 4 variants of slaw, Scott… that’s… they’ll clash…”

“Complement.”

“Curdle more like. Oh and they’re going to go so very very nasty with the gravy.”

“Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.”

“I’m pretty sure I won’t get a chance and nor will you because you’ll be arrested for crimes against gastronomy any minute now.”

“Welcome to the Land of the Free, my friend” Scott responded with a grand sweep of an arm “There are no such crimes here.”

I never make posts but man the HOTD fandom on tumblr is embarrassing. I find myself blocking people constantly due to the toxicity just because the way they only approach shows from a shipping and stan culture side.

I grew up on this site and have been a part of shipping before, but the way some of y’all will wildly misinterpret or condemn a show for not being written in the wildly ooc interpretation you have is shameful. The characters aren’t “poor little mew mews” this is a piece of media where you cant project that onto characters.

Hell, some of you even claim to read the books and your takes are so far fetched im sure you just say you read the book to get moral superiority in arguments. Its clear you either didnt read it or have ass reading comprehension skills.

Anyway this isn’t the entire fandom of course, but it’s very frustrating not being able to actually talk about the shows mistakes (and its successes) when 9/10 posts are about how shit your comprehension skills are. We have been on this hellsite forever, there are nearly no new users so I know for a fact most of y’all cant hide behind the excuse of being kids.

rereading sarah dunant's borgias novel and this part always gets me...i love how juan is always oblivious to cesare's disdain towards him. he's all enthusiastic and sincere, hugging his brother, missing him etc meanwhile cesare's hatred only increases. he despises juan's vulnerability and warmth because their father molded cesare to be a savvy, hardened warrior skilled in the art of deception. it's almost like juan is a mirror reflecting back the parts of humanity cesare has had to kill in himself through his political/warrior education...
