Eden had never felt as adored as she did when Angelo sprung this surprise on her, Italy. A holiday, and she'd never been on holiday, never set foot on a plane until it was with him. Noah was happy to cover he always was, it meant he'd have a great pay cheque this month... and above all else, it took Eden away from it, from all of it. Every day those attacks were getting worse, to the point that Lawrence had found her in a spare room, her back pressed into the edge of a bed, on the floor... the wheezing was the scary part, the way she felt like she couldn't breath but Lawrence sat with her for house, holding her hands and telling her stories until the rest of the world didn't seem so scary anymore. She'd really struggled with recovery too. On cold days she said it hurt more, like the cold crepy into her bones and made it ache. The physical therapy was helping week by slow week but she still couldn't lift that arm up properly, she still had moments where she struggled with movement. Sometimes she couldn't lift her arm enough to get a sleeved blouse on and would get frustrated at herself, get embarrassed asking for help. Either way being here? Being somewhere completely different? It was like the girl full of sunshine came back.

Actually, when the sun shone on her like it did now she was golden, it shone on her hair like honey and her eyes shine. It looked like the sun had been created to illuminate her. She was taking longer to get ready than normal, nervous as hell but that wasn't the problem, she was stood looking in the mirror, just staring at herself. She wore the most beautiful yellow sundress, it tied at the shoulders, it wasn't tight against the healing scar. She suited the colour, given her dark hair and how sunkissed her skin was right now but that.. that wasn't what she was seeing. Eden was seeing the scar, marred and pink on her shoulder, the odd shape of it from how the blade had twisted. It almost looked like a star bursting at different angles to the usual. She was going to find it hot here and it was, she shouldn't have to feel like she had to hide in clothing that hid it entirely.

The flowers she'd bought earlier in the day for his Mother lay on the table by the mirror. She daredn't ask what he planned to introduce her as. "I can't.." she sighed, pushing her hands through her hair. "I can't wear this, can I. It's... it's all people are going to see It's all your parents are going to see is a.. flawed girl that should've covered it, I mean what if people " she felt self conscious and god she didn't deserve to feel like it took away from any of her beauty. "Be honest with me, I don't want to embarrass you in front of them.."
