my brain's been thinking about certain realmers as magical girls recently, so i'm presenting my losa+tina x pretty cure au! i was inspired to make this when i saw this art by @melmokk3 !! maybe i'll make a madoka au as well but i wanted to make something more lighthearted and silly before anything else. what pretty cure is and what the au is are explained below the cut :3

okay so to quickly summarize what pretty cure/precure is, it's a magical girl series! there's currently 22 seasons and there's usually a different cast for each one. the story normally goes: a fairy's kingdom has been attacked by evil, they find the legendary pretty cures, they defeat the monsters of the week, and in the end good wins!! my au isn't based around any season in particular but instead i'm pulling from a lot of the common tropes/general tone and from what the spinoff seasons full bloom and mirai days are doing, which is working with aged up versions of the main casts.

as for the au itself-

the au focuses on ros, tina, sneeg, and clown. they're all adults in our modern world, living in a city... somewhere. they've got jobs, they're trying to make rent, and despite everything life could be worse! on one fateful day, coworkers ros and tina are window shopping when they encounter foolish! i don't have a solid vision for his design but i'm thinking he'd be like candy and pop from smile precure/glitter force. he's the fairy and therefore helper to the cures. he gives the two the rundown of how he got into this mess: he was the grand ruler of the kingdom of fools, until the malicious badgers attacked and destroyed the kingdom for the sake of causing chaos. now he's on the hunt for the legendary pretty cure warriors to save his kingdom, and their world, from destruction. shortly after they'd get attacked by pangi, and ros would become the first cure out of 4

after ros becomes a cure, she'd deal with a couple of fights with pangi with the occasional bbh sighting! she and tina would then be introduced to clown, who would become the second cure and the then strongest of the bunch. clown becoming a cure would also coincide with mocha/pili being introduced as a villain. sneeg would hear about all of the monsters running amok in the city his buddy ros lives in, so on the day he goes to check-in on her, the first attack orchestrated by the triple threat happens, and sneeg would become the third cure. if/when tina becomes a cure at all it would be much later down the line, probably closer to whatever explanation i can give the war in this au. in the meantime though, i have agendas to push so qpr losa and rostina yuri would be happening and are the relationship endgames.

i don't have solid designs in my head as of yet, but i've got a theme and some general color schemes/ideas. i'm still working on just picturing some stuff such as what they're using to transform/use their finishing attacks, as well as just fleshing out what happens between/during everyone becoming magical girls. seeing as the cures are fighting for the sake of the kingdom of fools though, why not theme them around a circus and circus positions?

ros would be Cure Ringleader, the head of the team, quickest of the bunch, and a purple cure. clown would be either Cure Jester or Cure Clown, he'd be a red cure, the best skill-wise, and he'd have a fire-based finisher. i'm still conflicted on sneeg's cure name but for now he's Cure Trapeze. he's a blue cure who can fly, and has a lightning finisher. lastly there's tina who's Cure Magician. she's a pink cure and the strongest magic-wise. i dont have the best vision of her finisher but i think somehow it'd involve a magician's hat. the losa would have a trio attack as well as duo attacks for each pairing. tina and ros would have a duo attack, and the 4 combined would have some crazy finisher that i'd imagine would put whatever they're fighting through a circus or something (thinking about the you&idol finishers as inspiration for the 4 cure attack, where whatever they're fighting literally gets teleported to a circus).

that's most of my put-together thoughts on this au for now. not sure if i will ever post any art but i might post more words abt this later. i'm still working on it and i'll probably also wind up with that madoka au at some point :3

The circumstances might not be the same but he undoubtedly became a different, not violent, man after what the IPC did to his planet

Plus being a galaxy ranger is a lonely existence by design

He respects your need to distance yourself from people

But I feel there's a nurturing side to Boothill he doesn't get to tap into very often

So there's a part of him that will try to comfort you? Relate to you? He doesn't know what he's doing himself but something in his heart breaks for you and pulls him towards you

One stubborn fella about helping you but quite sturdy, let's say he's the guy letting the dog bite him to get its anger out and know that he can be trusted 🥺

Menace I love him

Sampo is a con-man salesman - he wants to know everyone's secrets so that he can exploit them for his benefit

But there's some lines even he won't cross

He's got a soft heart somewhere in there (deep in there) so you can expect that he'll go easy on you when he comes to his scheming

Plus he knows how to calculate risk, so if messing with you is highly likely to get him fucked up, he won't try you... Too much

Another man whose life wasn't exactly easy (which is why he's the way he is) and with a soft spot for people with a similarly difficult past

I think he'd find his own way of showing companionship, implying that you can talk to him about stuff if you want (tho he won't blame you for thinking he's just trying to get to your secrets) and stuff like that. He'll just be very subtle about how honest he's being

Let's say he's the guy slowly leaving treats for the dog and pretending like he doesn't care if it likes him or not (he really does, he's incredibly intrigued)

I feel like you're very similar in this way

He's got a heart of gold under all that aggression, specially when it comes to his people

He's just bad at expressing it in a gentle way😅

His childhood was... Traumatic to say the least, violence is all he knows

Another sturdy guy, he's literally immortal and seems to enjoy a good fight so hitting him in any way might just start a sparring session💀

If he doesn't know you, he wouldn't engage, he's got better things to worry about

But if he does, you might get to see a gentleness from him no one thought him capable of

He's a patient man but he genuinely wants to see you learn to live with your trauma like him

I don't think he's done healing, mind you, but you might be able to learn something from each other about living with your demons

The way he just immediately takes Sunday under his wing? Guiding him gently and patiently? That's a dad right there

He's deeply altruistic so he will try to help you please don't fight it😭

He's canonically one of the strongest characters so don't worry about hurting him. The fact that you even had to live through what you did, hurts him much more

Gentle but insistent, is how I'd describe him

He will not give up on you no matter what and that is a promise

When and if you decide to open up, he's a great listener

But even if you don't, he'll be there always🫡 because he genuinely just wants to see you be happy

On the express she mostly keeps to herself, y'know navigating

But she undoubtedly cares deeply about the team so if you're part of it (let's say you are) you're included in that sentiment

She's not exactly... Motherly, per say, but she does care. She's just a bit... Awkward about it?

The type to do things like invite you to have coffee with her (don't drink it), or offer to teach you about navigating and stuff like that, just try to make you feel included

Not the type to outright ask about what happened but will listen if you tell her and will not judge - she doesn't see anything wrong with the way you handled things (Sunday train flashbacks)

Knows you're capable of protecting yourself, but will become somewhat protective of you

Tries to avoid setting you off as much as possible, she can hold her own no problem but she'd feel terrible if she hurt you in some way

Tho if you decide to be rude or aggressive to push her away, she'll definitely take it to heart, at first

She'll mope about it for a bit before her determination takes over

She wants to be your friend damnit 😡

She'll call you out for being rude but stick around regardless

She's got thicker skin than expected and she's hard to shake off (like a puppy...) if she decides she wants to be your friend, that's what she's gonna do

Plus after that first time, being rude to push her away won't work, she'll just talk right over you

In the end, she might just win you over through sheer determination 😭

Nobody knew about his past when he came onto the express so he'd be kind of a hypocrite if he cared

It's inevitable that he becomes attached and when he does he becomes just as protective with you as with any other member of the express, regardless of your past

No clue what to say! The blue spirit mask is slightly altered, little additions such as a second set of protruding canines on the bottom and water tribe style carvings along the horns + teeth! This is a nod to Zukos mum, I like the idea of her performing and then local performances of shows having different interpretations of the Blue Spirit! hers had the teeth, I also have in the fic a few other details I imagine were more unique to Zukos design. The carving is done by a crew member, Kovak, as a way of tying Zuko in more with the Water Tribe. Theres also some dangly leather bc I think its cute and its my Zuko design. So. The details of his canon timeline design will become fully explained within the next few chapters!! U will get to see the changes develop : D Um. Oh god I had so much more to say about it but now im blanking i get so nervous posting my art... if u have any questions i suppose pls ask... I am very proud of this. Uh. YEAH! Ok fellas so thanks to @queenie-draws-stuff zooming in on the pictures I came to notice these silhouettes invading whatever tower these are and I’m gonna try to dissect as best as possible.

The Mother Angel

Very self explanatory that this IS the Mother

Her role is VERY crucial being the one to deliver the egg needed to create a human cuz remember: the picture seen in the lab before Ken burns it down shows Temperance holding baby Mel hatched from an egg so it’s possibly they modified one of her eggs to create the prophesied human

Not much to say cuz I can’t see what she’d do yet since she’s confirmed to still be alive unlike the next few I’ll yap abt

Diligence(don’t tell me it’s not him I know it’s him))

THE QUEEN RETURNS🔥🔥🔥 ITS CANON CUZ THEY LIVED AT THE END BUT I TRUST GLITCH N PARTTIMESEAGULL TO USE HIM WELL🫶🫶🙏✨🫶🙏

The more I look at it the more I’m convinced it’s Diligence OK SO LETS GET TO IT

This is DEFINITELY Diligence(99% chance I’m confident)) bc as far as we know he’s combat-related given his duty is to GUARD the entrance to Paradise lost and the arm shown in this silhouette matches the exact sword he uses to fight Ken

There’s no way another Virtue could be combat related bc as far as we know Diligence has been seen in the front of the Virtue Corp newspaper to rlly solidify that they’re the HEAD guard or at the very least a force to be reckoned with and we’re right seeing as how he could overpower Ken if not for the slip up

When you look at the arm he loses, it’s clear that his RIGHT arm gets chopped off. And the length to where it gets cut off is elbow length. Plus the weapon design matches that of the sword Diligence uses

What bothers me/pos is the left arm. Where are the shoulder pads? Clearly Diligence came back/revived at the end of the pilot and he seemed messed up but either this poster was made BEFORE The final or will foreshadow Diligence’s new form

Plus what is his left arm doing??? I can’t see it correctly so if anyone can clearly see it pls aid a desperate Diligencd fansimp I don’t even see the chains dangling down but trust in Glitch I KNOW this is Diligence esp how both he and Temperance appeared on the announcement for the voice cast and usually that means they’re a part of the main cast whether antag or protag(I’m delusional unless proven otherwise))

Very sure Diligence gets injured once again or something happens to him to get his arm to look weirdly shaped on the left. Cuz the right seems to show the virtue silhouette having something thick on the shoulders while the left seems empty and almost thin-like

Theory is that someone or something punishes Diligence for letting the intruders free thus resulting in the left arm looking weird. Idk not confident abt that but again I cannot stress the right arm cuz it’s EXACTLY the same sword type he uses during the fight and the same length from the elbow

DONT CALL ME CRAZY I KNOW ITS DILIGENCE HE’LL BE PART OF THE MAIN ANTAGONISTS BC HES NOT GONNA LET THOSE ROTLINGS GO AFTER WHAT THEY DID TO HIM

There’s no way it’s another virtue unless proven otherwise cuz as far as we know we were hinted 2 unknown Virtues within one of the news papers showing Diligence n Temperance in it and so far none resemble the silhouette more than DILIGENCE especially with the right sword arm. Their left arms are even exposed and yet none match the silhouette and the CLOSEST we get due to the right arm and the pose is Diligence

Plus the stance. Tell me that virtue isn’t serving without telling me that virtue isn’t serving. Bc let’s be honest Diligence REALLY made the impression of tgd’s prettiest but deadliest enemy yet and ofc the stance shows a level of sass/confidence.

And I can ALMOST see the faintest outline of his hat from the head but pls just let it be confirmed that Diligence will live until the end of the series he has SO MUCH POTENTIAL AND U GET MICHAEL OF ALL PEOPLE TO VOICE HIM LIKE CMON HE NEEDS TO LIVE AT LEAST TILL THE END

In all seriousness tho I rlly hope they use Diligence wisely but more bc he has so much potential being a threat since if the Angel Storm didn’t throw him off balance, he would’ve ended Ken or at the very least capture all of them given how he choke holder that guy

A new Virtue? Or Temperance’s new body

Oh THIS is for my fellow Temperance lovers or at least those looking forward to another new Virtue

AND SPEAKING OF VIRTUES I have a heavy theory abt this being Temperance. I’m 20-30% confident bc of the design alone

Again the ONLY Virtue to wear clothes being Temperance only and his lab coat reaches at least until his ankles which the silhouette does follow along too

However the Silhouette shows multiple wires or tubes wrapped around the body, and its giving off “evil mad scientist” guy and which better candidate than to look no further at Temperance

And ofc the rules of the gaslight district is that NO ONE CAN REALLY DIE so yeah Temperance is definitely suffering inside Ken over and over again and I’m sure one was or another they’ll be back bc who else would finish the weird egg seen in the lab than the head scientist himself?(which this also ties to the next character))

The code seen below them reads “He’s fulltime now” meaning either this is a higher Virtue given Temperance is second to the order of the Virtues(with Diligence ranking 4th)), or it IS Temperance in a new body bc mind you that his body got possibly damaged or burnt along his lab

So there’s a possibility after coming back to Paradise lost, he upgrades his body

Or at the unlikely case this isn’t Temperance, this can possibly be Chastity given the wires do resemble some type of restrain that wraps around the arms and body

I am SO SO SURE that THIS is the monster/entity we see within the egg hanging above the laboratory.

I have no idea what to say but this looks to be similar to the Mother given the right “arm” looks to be the head of an Angel but a halo is present just above its real head

Betting that this is the “???” Thing in Temperance’s lab/what he’s been creating OR the baby chick that hatches from the egg Mel stole

Friend of mine pointed out how the Mother said that a “legion of angels” will lead/guide Mel to destroying the district/all immortals and potentially it could start from that single chick

It seems bipedal almost so it could be a Virtue-Angel mix abomination. Someone on YT mentioned how it could be the Mecha pope or some form of mech-flesh abomination

IMPORTANT: Mc will be referred to as they/them in this story, but in these beginning chapters a lot of people will refer to mc as a dude because y'know; NRC is an ALL BOYS school and nrc students came to expect that those in the school are all boys.(this'll change dw)

In order to avoid confusion, every time that the MC is addressed by others as he/him or more; I will color it blue. why blue? I find it easier to read.

Sample; 'He turned to them.'

The "He" in this passage is referring to MC because the character referring to them thinks that they're a guy.

The Dorm Leaders + lilia were just about to call this Opening Ceremony over.

So close to getting out of this hall and finally being able to go on their merry ways to escort the new students back to their respective dorms before the hectic-ness of preparing for hours starts to catch up to them.

Though, things are never quite that easy in NRC.

A commotion with the students quite far from them leaves the majority of them annoyed/disgruntled. (Kalim is just confused and curious)

The headmaster rushes to check what was wrong only for a student to point out that there is an unopened coffin floating in a shadowy part of the hall.

Armed with the desire to get this shit over with and to avoid embarrassment from missing a coffin when he was going around opening them and also, with Yuu waiting near the mirror, the headmaster opens the coffin to wake the new student inside.

The dorm leaders walked closer to be able to quickly usher the new student to the dark mirror only to notice that the headmaster froze up.

"...Headmaster? Are you alright?" Azul "Boutta-do-sumthin-devious" Ashengrotto asked with faux concern.

"Ah– Ah yes! I'm alright Mr. Ashengrotto."

Crowley the bitch cleared his throat and reached inside the coffin to wake the student up.

"Hmm..."

The dorm leaders subconsciously or not, peaked inside the coffin before getting gobsmacked by the sleeping student.

Sure, the student looked quite cute ("New potential apple locked in" — Vil.) even with half of his face obstructed but what really drew their attention were the jewelries that he was wearing.

Three luxurious looking earrings on each of his ears, all unique from each other, all with a respective color and design except for that one earring with two gemstones connected to it, orange and indigo. Seven gems, six earrings

An ornament on his forehead that looks to be a combination of a circlet and a Ferronnière made from gold, with intricate black bat-like wings surrounding the red gemstone in the middle.

And that's just the jewelry on his head.

There's also the sleek black choker with a golden sheen on his neck with a teal gemstone surrounded by small diamonds hanging in the middle.

They don't know if this guy has anymore but the jewels they can see for now is more than enough for them to make the deduction that this student has some alot of money on his hands.

No wonder the Headmaster froze up.

Azul subconsciously starts fixing up his appearance when he starts to wake up, wanting to make a good impression on a potential, rich victim client.

You glance warily to the bird-man while keeping an eye on the huge number of robed individuals that you can see. are you in a cult? Damnit, did one of the Brothers' crazy cults decide to kidnap you out of jealousy again??

Especially the seven (reminder that lilia is there with the Housewardens) closest to you and bird-dude.

Some solomon-kinnie motherfucker is currently eyeing you down like he's about to sell your kidneys to the black market or something.. Hmm... Your fight or flight instincts are telling you to sell HIS kidneys instead.

Burd-dude cleared his throat and addresses you.

"It seems that the teleportation magic has left you disoriented... No matter, I can forgive your offense of trying to threaten me for I am gracious!"

He then looked weirdly like a combination of preening peacock and a proud chicken.

Now that raised a few eyebrows.

You feel for the necklace under your clothes that Thirteen gave you, filing the question of why you're also wearing the same robe as these people away, in your head.

While the guy that you now dub-thee as "bird-bitch" started gawking at you and going on a tangent of being disrespectful, you scan the big hall/room you're in looking for ways to escape.

Hmm... This new student seems to be a knowledgeable individual.

Lilia kept his gaze on the student, studying how he took on a defensive stance the moment he got out of the coffin.

They need to calm this student quickly before something happens.

The student seems to be confused on why he's here and is looking for a way to get out.

If the way his eyes moved around the room in quick succession is any indicator.

Not the first time that something like this happens but add in the magicless student's appearance, he gets the feeling that something strange will occur once again.

Seeing him take out and grasp the palm-sized gemstone of a whole 'nother necklace hidden under his robe how many trinkets does this boy have??, Lilia got ready to jump in the fray should something happen.

There's a possibility that the student can use that necklace as a weapon if that was what he chose to hold in this situation and not his other shiny ornaments.

Lilia was proven right when the necklace and the gemstone glowed and formed into a fancy-looking staff that the student quickly pointed towards Crowley.

He looked at the dorm leaders around him to see if any of them will do something.

yeah no. If anything, they look like they're watching an amusing show. Especially Schoenheit and Kingscholar..

Though it seems more like Riddle is still assessing the situation before he brings out his infamous collar.

Jayvik | T | 560W | Post-canon fluff | Domestic | Slice of Life | Cottage by the Stream Minus the Four Kids (for now) Jayce doesn't use his brand new cane much. Viktor has noticed.

Spring was settling in, sunlight spilling in through the ivy framed windows of their house, tickling Viktor awake earlier and earlier every day. He didn't mind. He found it stimulating, if anything. Witnessing the garden in bloom, life returning after long months of dormancy, was nothing short of inspiring. As the grass grew dotted with colours, ideas took root. A brand new hydraulic system to power the heaters more efficiently. An automated watering circuit for fickle crops. A better designed kettle.

Viktor's mind wandered as he cracked another egg in the pan, drawing schematics out of thin air, debating what material was better suited for this or that. There was some scrap metal left in the cellar, it was only a matter of sorting out what could be repurposed and─

A door opened. The sound of uneven steps on the creaky wood floor. In his mind, the schematics stood still, left to revise later. For now all Viktor could focus on was the warm body pressed against his back. Gods, Jayce always brought the forge along with him.

It was a delight. Not that Viktor would ever admit that out loud.

"G'd morning," Jayce sighed sleepily against his neck, wrapping his arms around Viktor's middle.

"Good morning."

Viktor flipped the mushrooms and eggs in the pan, expertly assessing the Maillard reaction on the edges of their soon to be breakfast. He'd never been much of a cook before. He'd found he rather enjoyed mastering the chemistry of it.

"A shame you went through all that trouble making yourself a cane not to use it," he told Jayce, his voice even.

Jayce groaned against him.

"I use it."

Viktor shot him a skeptical look from the corner of his eyes.

He'd never known a time when he did not have some kind of support. For as long as he could remember, he had always been holding something. Reaching for his cane barely required thought. But Jayce... Jayce was stubborn. He favoured his leg brace, even when it dug painful grooves against his skin after a long day, especially in winter. He had taken to leaning over furniture around the house, supporting himself against any surface he could when the brace was off, exerting himself while waving it off, invariably regretting it later lying in bed, sore.

The coat of varnish he'd applied on the oak parts of his cane was spotless and shiny from disuse.

"Thank you for breakfast," Jayce said, hoping to stir the conversation elsewhere.

"Unfortunately it is only for handsome men who make a reasonable use of their mobility aids."

He could almost hear Jayce's eyeroll.

"Mmh. So we're resorting to bribery, then?" There was a smile there, too.

"Positive reinforcement," Viktor shrugged, flipping the eggs one last time.

Jayce muffled a chuckle against his shoulder, gently rubbing Viktor's sides.

"Oh, I see. What else is there in it for me?"

"I'm told the village's hot springs are very nice this time of year."

Jayce hummed in Viktor's ear, his hands teasing the hem of his pajama bottoms, thumbs playing against his hip bones.

"Oh, really?"

"Breakfast, Jayce," Viktor warned, more than aware things would start burning should hands stray any lower.

There was another chuckle against his neck, a kiss, and Jayce's hand slipped away, lingering warmth imprinted on Viktor's skin like a soft brand.

"Fine. I'll get the cane, then."

SV Redeemed AU

INTRODUCTION / DISCLAIMER

First things first, these designs for Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla are FAR into the future. Quite literally end game phase of the story, the “they grow old together and live happily ever after”. There's a long way to get there, and while I will write some of my thoughts about their journey, I'm a shitty writer. There's no single thought-out plot, it's just bits and pieces of my thoughts in one place. 

I don't think I'd be making a tag or naming this AU anything specific. I'm still calling it an AU because there is a bit of canon divergence, but I don’t have a start-to-finish story. (EDIT: wellp that lasted long. new name is #False-Truth AU because I like the oxymoron. I still don't think I'll do much - maybe a few short comics, which you'll be able to find under that tag on my profile)

Keep in mind that these are just my own interpretations, if you imagine these cookies acting differently, that's ok! This is just my own made-up alternate version

LONG POST UNDER THE CUT - don't say I didn't warn ya

I’ve tried to divide it into sections, so if you are looking for just smth specific / only care about one of the characters, you can skip right to it!

Prepare for the ramblings. 

PURE VANILLA'S DESIGN 

more relaxed now - doesn’t need to keep up perfect appearances and the image of a hero, so he can lay back a bit more. (messier, less perfectly styled hair - more like his younger years. comfier clothes.) 

focusing on herbology - with less power now (why explained below) and trying to not overwork himself, he’s taken to different healing methods, as well as taking on gardening as a hobby

slightly more open eyes - (heavily elaborated on bellow) 

different staff - due to being able to use his own eyes more now, as well as staying more on the low, he’d decided to retire the famous staff. Since it’s a flower, it was planted somewhere and allowed to blossom and grow freely - fitting symbolism for a new beginning, I think. The lantern light glowing blue makes it easier on his eyes.

PV STORY BITS 

In this AU Shadow Milk and Pure Vanilla retire together. I think PV would still like to teach, but would focus more on the medical and practical side of things, like herbs and healing practices. (He’ll leave telling tales about the past  to Shadow Milk, though he might throw in his own comments from time to time…) He mostly offers advice and shares every-day methods for protection of different kinds with those who ask, but may take on an apprentice or few to fully pass down his healing knowledge to. He uses magic sparingly now. 

This way with not focusing on a variety of subjects and many, many students, he’s able to rest more and doesn’t have to split himself between multiple worries. He can focus properly and give his students more individual attention, to make sure his knowledge will be retained for the future. 

Eyes

(don't jump me pls read the footnote) 

I've decided to take the closed/covered eyes motif PV has in a bit more symbolic way *. I want to interpret it as PV being blind (=ignorant) to the world around him, choosing to see the world and his own actions in an idealized light, and to look away from anything that doesn't fit that idea. Light sensitivity would be very ironic yet fitting - since his own powers are very light-based, by using them to help others he’d be blindinding/hurting himself in the process... 

Over time, he realizes how futile it is. Even if he turns his eyes away from the wrongdoing in the world, from his own mistakes and imperfections, they will still continue to happen. He begins to understand that he has to accept that neither he nor the world is perfect, to stop wallowing over the past and start fixing the present. To keep moving forward and keep working on himself, not hide his imperfections under literal and figurative wraps. 

With the help of Shadow Milk, he begins to open his eyes more and more and accept the real truth, no matter how imperfect it is. 

*I’m not sure how confirmed it was in canon that he’s blind (from what I’ve seen it was mostly implied, but still). I'm not erasing that - for the sake of this AU, I'd like to say that he has partial issues with sight (including the mentioned light sensitivity), but now he learns to accommodate them rather than ignore them and hurt himself more for the sake of others. No, he doesn't magically gain full sight now, but he's more comfortable, healthier, and more honest about the world around him with all of its imperfections. 

Burnout

I believe SM and PV complete each other so perfectly because they can help each other grow in areas where the other is lacking/struggling. With PV, I’d like to focus on burnout, false ideas, and how the pressure he’s constantly under has affected him. He was very much just a normal guy before receiving his Soul Jam. Years beyond a normal cookie’s lifespan of hard work and trying to be the perfect leader, to always ensure the happiness of all his people (whether that be as king or otherwise) are bound to take a toll on anyone. Obviously he'd never admit that, always putting everyone else before his own needs, and he’d likely run himself into the grave. That's where I think Shadow Milk would be helpful - he’d make him realize how unsustainable what he’s doing really is. He wasn’t built for handling immense power for all of eternity, he’s just a single cookie and whether he likes it or not, he can’t save everyone or make every single one of his people happy... Being selfish isn’t entirely wrong, sometimes might even be necessary. 

Onto the idea of false truth - Pure Vanilla has a very idealized view of a lot of things and people. He’s trying to see everyone in the best light, but he also holds a high standard for himself - that he must be the ideal, shining and caring hero and a beacon of perfection . Shadow Milk is likely to pick that image apart - probably not in the kindest way, saying that in trying to be perfectly selfless, PV is putting himself on the pedestal above everyone else while still being just a single cookie with limited capabilities. He’d likely call this image egoistical, and while PV would argue that he’s doing it for the good of others (he is helping after all, right?), Shadow Milk wouldn’t be entirely wrong - this way of thinking, that he’s the one who must take care of everyone else, is harmful for both him and the ones he’s trying to protect. 

Shadow Milk would show him that truth is relative, that “pure truth” doesn’t exist, for anyone could interpret it differently. That PV isn’t (and doesn't have to be) the perfect blameless hero. That his people aren’t as good or pure as he’d like to give them credit for, but neither are they helpless. 

Shadow Milk metaphorically and literally helps him open his eyes - he slowly learns to lay back, to accept the reality and “truth”, whatever it may be, and is no longer blinding and burning himself out by trying to help everyone at once. With a new mindset and outlook of the world, he can allow himself to retire, and leave a calmer, out-of-the-spotlight life. 

Retirement

Ok, controversial idea, but I think the ancients will have to one day retire and pass down their SoulJams. Yes, I played Cookie Odyssey, I know how important it is to them, but hear me out. As I said above (which is shown in the game btw, but correct me if I'm wrong), they were just normal cookies before taking on the roles of the Ancient Heros. Cookies with high achievements, yes, but still. They aren’t The Beasts, baked specifically for the purpose of handling the Soul Jams, and even then, The Beasts weren’t perfect. I’m not saying they’re bound to get corrupted like their predecessors did, but I am saying that this role is bound to take a toll on them. Not even just from the perspective of power, even just handling so many responsibilities with running their kingdoms is going to be extremely draining mentally. (Physically likely too, even if they’re said to stay “always young” thanks to the Soul Jams - many stories teach that you can’t mess with nature and that nothing lasts forever...)

I don’t know who they’d pass the Soul Jams along too - whether that’d be Gingerbrave and his friends, or a new batch of heroes, that is to be decided. The point is, they have served their purpose, they have (from the perspective of this AU) defeated Dark Enchantress, and deserve to now leave the rest of  their lives in peace.

SHADOW MILK'S DESIGN 

“mellowed out” a bit - continues to be eccentric and dramatic, but less manic

still unsettling - most level-headed cookies upon meeting him immediately get a feeling that there's something.. off about him, even if they can't put their finger on it. (I purposefully left some of his corrupted design elements or callbacks to them, like the marking over his eye, for that reason) 

vibrant, colorful, very extra in both behavior and looks, everything he does he does with drama and flourish 

quiets down when out of the eyes of the public, or alone with Pure Vanilla 

peacock elements - fitting for someone with such a vibrant personality. also the eye connection is perfect - if you look closely at the feather he's wearing, you might even notice a familiar symbol in its “eye”

a playful bard - (elaborated heavily bellow) - an identity allows him to enjoy his favorite activities, while also being a slight callback to his academic past 

SM STORY BITS

The bard 

While spending more time with Pure Vanilla, PV encouraged him to pursue his creative interests. Partly to have smth to get SM’s mind off of causing chaos, and partly because they let him indulge and express himself without causing any serious damage. Now he’s joined PV in retirement, though still not fully stepping down from the stage.

Being a bard allows Shadow Milk to indulge in everything he likes most: being the center of attention, dramatics, theatrics, mischief, a tasteful dose of lies and half-truths, but also, in a way, calling back to his past self: for while a lot of his stories are made-up tales, he can also share the history of Earthbread that he’s witnessed. Yes, he may do so through over-dramatic performances or behind caricatural characters, but every tale holds a grain of truth, does it not? Whether his audience chooses to believe him or not is their choice to make.

Referencing the fact that a big part of human history survived through word of mouth, and how storytellers play an important role in preserving it, I think it’s only fitting to make him a bard.

About visual choices

I made his redeemed design less chaotic and asymmetrical, but still vibrant and based mostly on his current color palette, rather than the one from Blueberry Academy. That's because while he may be rediscovering his interests from the past, he’s not the person he was before corruption and never will be again. Instead, he too is learning to rediscover the world in a new light, with a new identity. 

Visually I’ve tried to keep some elements from his current design, if slightly toned down: a wide collar, puffy sleeves, a flowy cape. Elements of his corruption are also still there: different colored sclera (= his one eye being black), the sharp teeth. He may have settled down and calmed down slightly, but he remains as playful as ever :)) 

He still causes local chaos once in a while or resorts to pranking unsuspecting cookies nearby (the slight charring at the bottom of PV’s robe is a result of one of such pranks getting out of hand), and PV has accepted that he'll never be a calm, put-together cookie he once might have been. However, SM's learned to not be a danger to others for the sake of the one he cares about the most, and that's enough for the both of them.

= Orphnirel "Aether" Nihilo, A Timelooper Flying in the Sky =

Orphnirel is a tri-element Assassin (TWA acrobat, lv 106) of unknown origin. He draws time magic from his main weapon, Weathered, a mythic-tier blade originated from Time Valley.

Orphnirel can initiate time loops at will by utilizing Weathered's time magic. It always sends him back to the very beginning of his journey at the cost of being severely weakened, thus he needs to regain his original strength slowly. At the same time, each loop gives him the an opportunity to develop movesets from one of the other classes, which he can switch freely by channeling his mana with different types of weapons. However, rapid switching will disrupt the mana inside him, causing severe fatigue and nausea. (Resembles an account can have multiple classes/characters. In Orphnirel's case, it is known as his "identities.")

Every time he starts a new loop, something changes in the world. (Every loop reveals a major update.)

Although Orphnirel's looping ability is extremely powerful, it comes with a cost. Due to his prolonged exposure to time magic, his existence breaks the order of the world (His awareness of canon events, his multi-class situation, knowledge of alternate timelines, etc), the world itself actively rejects his existence. So Orphnirel often flickers as if he is glitching or even outright vanishes without leaving a trace for a brief moment.

Weathered's time magic allows Orphnirel to exist and remember everything in the past loops. If he is forcefully separated from the weapon for a certain amount of time, his existence, along with all memories and information about him, will be erased.

Note: It is *intentional* for him to look out-of-place. And yes this guy's design is heavily based on Crypto from Apex Legends.
