kinda want to write a self-indulgent socmed au featuring alley oop unit (because my bias line is there + yangyang and jaemin) so yeah,,, and it’s jeno x reader.

ugh fine brainrot rn! but alley oop unit is a basketball team here and you’re a sophomore student who’s also the younger sister of nakamoto yuta — the basketball team’s captain.

So before the school year starts, your parents decided to officially move you and Yuta back in one apartment because: 1. your rent in the girls dorm became expensive, that it’s a price of an apartment flat 2. They just think that you and your older brother should be staying in together to watch over each other.

2. So Yuta announced that he’s moving out of the athlete’s dorm which confuses the team because: 1. WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU HAVE A YOUNGER SISTER. 2. Can we meet her?

3. Turns out only Sicheng and Hendery are aware of your existence. (In this au, Sicheng and Yuta are together because Yuwin is my og nct ship, while Hendery is your classmate because you two have the same college program.) Yuta rarely talks about you with his team and he’s not a very active social media person so his existence is a mystery for the guys. Like wdym they all live together in the athlete’s dorm for years and they don’t know that he has a younger sister ????

4. AND !!!! Yuta is very VERY protective of you so it’s like “yeah the reason why i didn’t told you guys is because YOU GUYS MIGHT HIT ON HER and i’m talking about the trouble duo aka jaemin and yangyang.”

5. So yeah chaos ensues when you and Yuta lived in together and the boys slowly became part of your life

6. Everyone except Jeno who you think is very very intimidating. Like the typical school jock who thinks that ball is life and his passion for sports is unreachable that he becomes unreachable too.

summary: yn wasn’t the straight a college student everyone thought she was at first glance, but when it came to laws and rules, she was very careful with her actions. that’s why she never went to any of the races they would have at 12am until her super annoying step sister, Seokhyun, draged her to one. it was cool and all, but yn didn’t expect to fall in love with one of the racers.

saturdays were always busy as people, old and young, would wander in seeking for somewhere to escape the hectic world outside. the slow, soothing jazz poured out of the café along with the aroma of coffee beans as the door opened slowly, letting new customers in. it was a hot, summery may morning; you were used to opening the small popular café, in fact, you loved it, even though you didn’t have a lot of time to rest. when you did have time, most likely in your breaks or when there weren’t many customers, your boyfriend, sicheng, would always come to visit you and put a smile on your tired face. sometimes your friends would visit too, asking for your famous lattes and smoothies which everyone loved. you would always sit at a small table, at the back of the café, trying not to disturb the regular customers while your friends, especially yeri, would laugh until their cheeks hurt from smiling so wide. it felt like you were enclosed in your own little bubble wasting time with the people you loved most. the chairs were cushioned and the table was a mahogany wood which gave the entire café a vintage feel. it was the perfect seat for your small group. just you and them, taking in each other’s presence.

however, today was different. your friends were busy due to school projects so they couldn’t come to see you in your first break. sicheng ditched his plans to come and keep you company and you two spent your whole break just talking about everything and nothing and sipping your cold strawberry smoothie while he was drinking the sweet latte you made him. soon enough your break was over and unfortunately you had to leave your boyfriend alone and go back to complete your daily tasks. while you were working, your friends, seulgi, yeri and mark came to surprise you and sicheng. or maybe they just came because they love getting the best drinks for cheaper. whatever it was you were super happy to see them anyway.

it was getting closer to three pm, when your shift was supposed to finally end. while you were trying to clean the few empty tables, you hear the noise of the door swing open, however you ignore it as everyone else glances up. you don’t give it much attention until you’re carrying a tray of empty cups, glasses and plates and you suddenly collide with someone, falling to the ground and dropping the contents from your tray. you and the random stranger were lucky enough the glasses were empty so you didn’t spill anything on any of you. mark and sicheng hurried to help you up with worried looks on their faces.

“oh, i’m sorry…”

the stranger had a monotone sound to his voice. he mumbled something almost inaudible; “don’t worry.” before you could see who it was, he swiftly turned away and left the café leaving nothing behind.
