So, the thing I wouldn't shut up about is finally out for the internet to enjoy! Rejoice! Myell will finally settle and stop hassling us with Killer Whale struggles!

....NOT

Because the struggles have just begun!

Killer Whale's reception has been... terrifyingly positive. And I'm beyond thankful for that, of course. The first chapter was meant to be an introduction to the Cavalieri mother branch situation and I'm glad I was able to convery every character's personality in a way that's comprehensible to the reader.

So... why did I say terrifyingly?

Because I'm scared shitless that the next chapters will not live up to the first one. And this will probably happen with every release, so I better find a way to shut this feeling down somehow. I know one can't realistically write a story with the same tone and feeling throughout the whole plot, but I guess I started out with one of my favorite things about KW, which is setting the eerie, dangerous mood of the Cavalieri, and that makes my brain think that if I don't do the exact same thing it's going to be boring.

But that was the start. The POV will switch back to someone inside the Cavalieri estate, but first there's Namimori. And I couldn't just dedicate the same type of descriptive level to characters everyone already know and love. I tried to balance this, but I really hope to have done some justice to the source material too.

Lots of words to say I went completely insane and had to lay down because my head was spinning.

Anyways, I wanted to thank everyone who's been there to support me both during the process and with the release, and I hope to have given you some good time with my delusional little world. Updates on the next chapter are coming soon!

Have I changed my name into something people are going to have a hard time pronouncing? Yes

Is it so much better than having people say my dead name and it feels like a cheese grater against my ears every single time I hear it? Abso-fucking-lutely.

I love the validation and the care people have when hearing my name, either the shortened or full version. The curiosity. The funny remarks- Oh! I have a daughter also named Wednesday! - Oh, that’s so cool/pretty! - And I love that it’s the name I tell people. That I tell them I am actively choosing.

Yeah it’s a bit irksome that pretty much always, my name is gonna be a mouthful and a half, lol. But I’m slowly learning to own it. Because anything- literally anything, and especially how meaningful this name is- is way better than my dead name.

Honestly, what the hell's even up with how aggressively Discord's been leaking memory lately?

Discord always had memory leaks, sure, but at the beginning of this year, you only needed to restart it once a month or so since that memory leaking was fairly slow.

But as of this month, the memory leaks are bad enough that, within the span of a mere 12 hours, Discord is almost guaranteed to be using almost 2GB of memory. (And it has a high chance of simply crashing at that point, as it's a 32-bit app that isn't LAA)

Even for the standards of Electron apps, this is completely ridiculous.

I want to want to write but as i stare at the blank page named Document 1 all I can think of is the fact that I haven't written in so long. I'm starting to forget my own stories and it feels overwhelming to return to. I just wanna write and enjoy it, it's supposed to be fun and freeing but my head has turned it into something stressful, that need to be good, better than the last time. I'm probably gonna try to write a silly little blurb and force myself not to correct it so I can get over the age old artist dilemma of "my art must be perfect, it must always improve" cause yknow whjat. that kind of thinking sucks and I am not here for it!!!! ok vent over, thanks for those who stick by me even during my slow upload time. Two weeks of exams and then I will be out of school for a little so :3 yeah
