i needed to get a new calculator for math this year, and its already like 100-110, but I got it at staples (which always upcharges like 1000000%) so it was 160. 160. you read right. ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS. for a calculator i NEED for school😭
and ik calculators are all super expensive for the good ones, but it was literally like 60 dollars more than it had to be
I would literally trade my life, soul and savings to be paired with Arisu. The guy’s been through so much but he’s still wholesome I CAN’T-
Considering Arisu is Hatter’s favorite, you probably will need to trade all of those things for him to match you with Arisu. Honestly I don’t know anymore what types of bribes Hatter accepts. In the begin he probably accepted anything but now he has gotten spoiled so you have to really work hard on those bribes.
He really has, poor Arisu. He thinks he’s safe for a moment and then bam more trauma.
Arisu would probably play video games with you, even if you don’t know he’ll be happy to teach you. But I also think he would be up to do anything that you wanted as well.
"people show their true colours in life threatening situations" no, they show you what they act like when they're mortally terrified, an emotion notorious for literally turning your entire brain off to the point where people who go into those situations as a profession need to be literally trained on how to not have that happen
i love when characters get angry when they're frightened. shelter dog characters. i love when they bite, not able to tell the difference between a hand that feeds and a hand that strikes. there is no difference. a hand is a hand is a fist. i love characters that are deemed unadoptable. unlovable.
and i love when someone loves them. i love when someone sits with them, patient. they don't flinch at the snarling and snapping. they're not trying to fix it—there's nothing to be fixed. this is you, all of you, and ill wait. because one day, one day you'll take the treat. go on, draw my blood. spit and curse and rage. you're safe with me. one day, you'll feel safe with me.
I love you MHA and I love you Katsuki and Izuku with all my heart. I hope you continue to be heroes and go on many adventures side by side for the rest of your lives.
I just. I just… i have discovered something. And I have laughed too much. I have laughed every time I have tried to explain it to someone. I cannot get through this.
Look. Okay.
There are two things you need to know, here.
First: There’s a style of Greek pottery that was popular during the Hellenic period, for which most of the surviving examples are from southern Italy. We call them ‘fish plates’ because, well, they’re plates, and they’re decorated with fish (and other marine life).
Like this one, currently in the Met:
Or this one, currently in the Cleveland Museum of Art:
They’re very cool. We’re not 100% sure what they were for, because most of the surviving ones were found as grave goods, but that’s a different post.
The second thing you need to know is that when we (Classics/archaeology/whatever as a discipline) have a collection of artefacts, like vases, sculptures, paintings, etc. and we do not know the name of the artist, but we’re pretty sure one artist made X, Y and Z artefacts, we come up with a name for that artist. There are a whole bunch of things that could be the source for the name, e.g. where we found most of their work (The Dipylon Master) or the potter with whom they worked (the Amasis Painter), a favourite theme (The Athena Painter), the Museum that ended up with the most famous thing they did (The Berlin Painter) or a notable aspect of their style. Like, say, The Eyebrow Painter.
Guess what kind of pottery the Eyebrow Painter made?
