Hmm, I need something to look forward to/plan for. I don't have any upcoming home improvement projects, trips, tattoos, piercings, or other events. I tried working on a five year plan but the only things I really want are 1) a fully remote job and 2) to find a life partner, both of which I guess I can work towards, but obviously can't control. And even if/when I achieve those goals... then what?
I love my house and don't want to move. I can't really afford to travel right now. So...?
#I just want some company#someone to build a life with#and even then I don't want to do much different#more local exploring#museums and antique stores#new restaurants and movies#nothing wild#definitely no kids#Hmmmm just feeling weirdly adrift lately#I'm not nearly as invested in my career anymore#it's fine it's easier than most things#and interesting sometimes#but I don't *feel* anything for it anymore#Maybe this is just more depression?#I upped my meds a week or two ago tho#I do start a 5 week long pottery class tomorrow#I'm hoping that sparks some joy#Personal rambling

Made my first junk journal spread in awhile tonight and I like how it turned out :) I haven’t touched my junk journal since May, but still was collecting junk and stuff since. I’d still like to get myself some more washi tapes, more stickers and lots of pattern paper/paper pads, but I’ll work with what I got for now
#I used some new stickers I got last weekend when my parents were gone and took my brother out to a couple stores#got them at five below and daiso (which I’ve been wanting to go to for a long time but mom wouldn’t go there cuz she doesn’t like the store)#I wanna go back to daiso soon for more stickers and paper/stationary#also wanna take pictures of a few pages I’ve done so far that I like and post them on social media (soon hopefully)#oh and I start my next 3 online classes tomorrow; I’m a bit nervous but I’ll do my best#it’s anatomy/physiology 1; a lab for that and a sociology class#I’m a bit nervous for anatomy/physiology but I’ve taken them many times before and luckily I still have old books/notes I can reference#I’ll do my best and try to go good grades but it’s also ok for me to pass at the bare minimum of a 75% 😬👍🏼

96 words written today. It is a very stressful time of the semester and I have Stuff going on which makes it more stressful, and also my university is...doing things. (Not fun when you have to start conversations or e-mails with "you may have seen my university in the news lately" because it's never for anything good.)
#get to go back to campus tomorrow for the first time since thursday#apparently the atmosphere on campus is VERY tense right now and most of the buildings are on pandemic-level lockdown (direct quote)#(which means you have to have your id card so you can swipe in but apparently doesn't consistently work for undergrads#bad for reasons that include 'we are still having classes and finals start this week' though I know people who've canceled both)#we've been getting increasing 'oh god I fucked up so bad and it's all over the news' e-mails from my spineless university president#daily fic snippet

Did driving practice today. Actually did parallel parking practice this time, even tho I really didn't want to still. Finally got it into my head that I can maybe do this.
SO......
I have scheduled my driving test. For November 13th, 3 weeks from today.
#speculation nation#IM SO NERVOUSSSSS but i need to do it. i need to. worst case scenario i fail and have to try again another day.#i was actually gonna try to schedule for a week from today but they were full up for the next 2 weeks.#so. 3 weeks! my therapist is gonna be happy for me when i tell her haha#this is. something ive been avoiding for over 10 years now. but i decided at the start of this year that This would be my year.#Year Of Unfuck My Life. and im finally doing it. im going to finally get my license.#it's so. huge actually. a similar level of Holy Shit factor as me graduating.#which seems like an uneven comparison but honestly ive just been so so so scared of this driving test#an insurmountable obstacle bc i was stuck at school away from family to help me practice etc etc#very tied up with me being stuck at school for so long actually. the neverending purgatory of being Stuck In Place.#but my cousin lives closer to me now and hes been helping me out. and i am so very grateful.#augh augh augh augh. life is so busy and it feels like everything is happening at once AAAAAAAAAAAA#but im taking it all in stride. i am. oh god i might have to just practice and then take my audition video all on the same day.#bc i am too tired to deal with it rn and i have an exam tomorrow so idk if i can practice then. also i have to clean.#i will make it work. i will make something work. for the love of fucking god i will make it work.#no time to write barely any time to relax but thats okay i am Go Go Going and trying to keep enough time to sleep#(prior few nights being the..exception lol.)#i certainly wouldnt want to live this way for too long. but just a few more months. i can do it.#next semester hopefully wont be as busy. i'll have 3 hard classes but if im lucky they wont even have much homework.#i can do it. i can get through it. i will get my license in 3 weeks (manifesting) and i will get my own car.#i will find a new apartment to live in. i will Hopefully find a job.#within a year my life is going to be much much different.#my life is Already much much different than it was just a year ago. tho this year has been more... metamorphosis.#in a year's time. i will be 28 years old. and the pieces will Finally be falling into place (hopefully!!!!!)#for now. god i need to rest. will probably go to sleep early tonight. need to be rested for my exam tomorrow.#first tho i gotta shower and feed both me and the cats. yes.

#i spent the entire drive home from class formulating possible ways to phrase my text to my therapist tomorrow#leaning toward the ‘sorry to bother you again’ route#i’m just so worried i’m never going to get something scheduled and I’ll have to start over with a new therapist AGAIN#after repeatedly stopping sessions to early because ‘i’m fine now’ and trying not to do that this time around#and now the office ends up under 10 ft of water and i keep getting left on read a month later#(not literally left on read there are no read receipts on our text chain)#(but going ‘this is the date i would like whatever time you have available’ and just not hearing back TWICE)
