Literally obsessed with your Slasher 141 series, its been giving me so much brainrot
I have a few ideas;
reader feels a bit self conscious about her body and the boys make it their mission to show her how beautiful she is in their eyes (could be fluff or smut)
OR
Reader decides to be a brat over text to the boys as they were out for the day, and hides from the boys once they arrive home, resulting in them hunting and chasing her down 👀👀 ( smut and a lil fluff )
This is very self-indulgent because I've been feeling bad about my own body lately. This is for my fellow fat girls <3
Warnings: Mentions of skipping meals, food in general. Self-deprecating thoughts, somewhat poor communication. Fem!Reader is fat (in all of the slasher!141 AU). Fluff!
You’ve been off lately. During mealtime with the boys, you barely eat, just poke at the food on your plate. It isn’t like you—you’re usually the one to cook and try out all kinds of new recipes to share with your lovers, or baking sweet treats to give them after a hard day—so for you to suddenly have no interest in food is concerning. Tonight is no exception. John made your favorite, beef stew and cornbread (a southern delicacy you taught him how to make), but you just mindlessly stir the stew with your spoon, eyes focused on nothing at all.
“How was your day, dove?” Kyle tries to break you from your trance, but you only nod.
“Helped a chicken give birth today,” Simon stares straight at you, ignoring the incredulous looks the other three men give him.
Still, no sort of reaction from you, other than an uninterested hum.
“Ah went tae the doctor earlier,” Johnny says next. “Turns oot ah’m pregnant.”
“Nice,” you deadpan, completely oblivious to the outrageous lies these dumbasses have been telling you.
“Enough,” Price furrows his eyebrows, dropping his spoon with a clang. “Darlin’, you haven’t eaten in two days.”
This time, you listen. Immediately, you rush to defend yourself, eyes narrowed at the bearded man.
“I’ve just been fe-”
“Don’t you give me that bullshit about bein’ sick, either. I’ve seen you sick, and it was completely different than this,” he interrupts, crossing his arms over his broad chest. “Speak, baby. Tell us what’s goin’ on in that pretty head o’yours.”
“It’s nothing,” you grumble.
Simon sighs dramatically, slapping his palms down on the dining room table to push himself up out of his chair. Before you can protest, he picks you up and sits in your seat, then settles you in his lap. You try to wriggle free, but his hold on you is unwavering.
“Stop strugglin’ and tell us wha’ the fuck is wrong w’you,” the blond man grunts, strong arms wrapped around your waist so you can’t move as much.
“I hate my body!” You blurt, and the room falls silent. “I-I don’t know what you all see in me. I just… I look gross.”
Tears build in your eyes and spill past your waterline, streaming down your round cheeks. All four men look at each other wordlessly, unsure of what to say. Their silence breaks your heart, and you manage to wriggle out of Simon’s lap.
“I’m going to bed,” you mumble, wiping your eyes with your sweatshirt and moping your way upstairs.
Your bedroom is the furthest down the hall, the longest walk. Usually this fact doesn’t bother you, but with your state of mind the way it is right now, you can’t help but feel like it’s purposeful. You slam the door shut and lock it, purposefully avoiding looking at yourself in the mirror as you flop into bed. It creaks with your weight, and you let out another sob.
You end up crying yourself to sleep, clammy face stuck to your pillow. When you wake up, you find that your door is still locked and try your hardest not to burst into tears all over again. Not one of the boys came to check on you last night? It makes you feel even worse—are you that much of an eyesore that they don’t dare come see if you’re okay? The thought makes your stomach churn. A knock makes itself known on your door, pulling you from your thoughts.
“Dove? Can you let us in?” Kyle’s soft voice sounds from the hallway. “Please?”
“We wanna talk to you, sweet girl,” Price’s voice comes next, followed by more pleas from Johnny and Simon.
With a shaky sigh, you oblige, unlocking the door and swinging it open. When your eyes fall on them, you bite back a gasp—they all look exhausted, puffy bags beneath their bloodshot eyes, frowns tugging their lips downward. You can’t imagine you look any better, but still, your heart aches seeing them look so down.
“Hey, bonnie,” Johnny instantly brightens up when he sees you, and you have to fight the urge to push him off when he wraps his arms around you.
“Hi,” you mutter, impartial to the kiss the Scotsman plants on your temple.
They all trail into your room nervously, and it’s just then that you notice a large jar in Simon’s arms. Your eyebrows furrow as you sit on the edge of your bed, waiting for one of them to speak up first.
“I want to start by apologizin’, sweetheart,” John begins, sitting beside you on your bed. “We were all… well, none of us were expectin’ to hear you talk about yourself like that, and we panicked. That wasn’t fair to you.”
You shrug, eyes focused on your lap. Price reaches out to grab your hand, gently running his thumb across your knuckles.
“You are absolutely stunnin’. You are the farthest thing from gross, dove,” Kyle sits on your opposite side, grabbing your unoccupied hand.
“Ah think ah speak fer all of us when ah say tha’ we love yer body,” Johnny hums.
“I’m fat,” you frown, and Simon scoffs.
“Yeah? And?” He narrows his eyes at you. “We like y’like tha’. More t’grab, more t’love.”
“I don’t understand why,” you whisper, chewing on your bottom lip anxiously.
“What’s not to understand?” John squeezes your hand. “You’re soft, and warm.”
“The fuckin’ best at cuddlin’, too,” Kyle grins.
“Great tits,” Johnny butts in, earning himself a jab to the ribcage from Simon. “Och- wha’?! It’s true!”
“Wha’ the wanker is tryin’ t’say is tha’ you’re perfect. For us, in general—y’complete us, love. Your body is jus’ a plus,” Simon concludes, finally stepping forward to offer you the jar.
“What’s this?” You ask, carefully pulling your hands out of Kyle and John’s.
“We spent all nigh’ gatherin’ up pictures of you tha’ we love,” Kyle explains, watching excitedly as you screw the lid off.
Inside, the jar is filled to the brim with photos and polaroid pictures—candids of you baking in the kitchen, napping on the couch, tending to the garden or the animals, even selfies you sent to Johnny when the two of you first started talking online. Mixed in with those is printouts of text messages they’ve all sent each other, fawning over you, some of which dating back to even before you met the others. Tears stream down your face yet again, but instead of being sad, you’re overwhelmed with love and joy from these men you get to call yours.
“I-I don’t know what to say,” you sniffle, setting down the jar to wipe your eyes.
“Don’t say anythin’, darlin’, just let us hold you,” John murmurs, pulling you onto the bed and wrapping an arm around your waist.
Maybe being dogpiled by your four huge husbands on an already creaky bed isn’t the best idea, but hey, all that matters is that you’re happy.

Not to be basic or anything 😭
But can I request spider!reader going with Miles to earth 42. And she’s 42!miles dead gf so when he sees her he’s super attached to her and his feelings are coming back for her she’s reciprocating. But then Miles is just chained up watching the girl he likes being flirted with by his alt self and he’s just like
miles: yeah this doesn’t hurt 😐
Uncle Aaron: you lyin?
Miles: Yeah 😢
ANOTHER DIMENSION
════════════════════════
════════════════════════
pairings: prowler! miles x fem! reader
cw: none
summary: just when you and miles thought you had gone back home, everything went wrong when you meet miles’ alternate version of himself, but for some reason why were you kind of falling for him too?
a/n: ik the anon said spidey! miles was just going to stay there and remain chained to the punching bag but come on, we all know he’s gonna escape one way or another🤷🏻♀️
════════════════════════
just when you found out you were in the wrong dimension with miles, he was knocked out from someone behind, making you rush towards him.
“miles—” you kneeled to miles’ unconscious state as the boy with the prowler suit walked closer to you but you had webbed his hand to the railing of the rooftop.
“don’t even try it.” you glared at the prowler until uncle aaron had threw a gas poison at you, immediately making you weak as you inhaled the toxic air.
before you could even touch the ground, someone had caught you. it was that masked boy.
(30 minute time skip)
you woke up, gasping for air as you looked around the place, examining it for a bit before investigating.
“is this uncle aaron’s place..?” you thought to yourself as you continued to look around.
as your eyes wandered all over the place, you then landed on a punching bag where miles was chained up against.
“miles..” you said under your breath worriedly, immediately taking the blanket off your lap to go free him.
but before you could even stand up, the prowler had held you to sit back down.
“get off me!” you tried shooting you webs, only for nothing to come out of your wrists.
“these yours?” prowler opened his hand, revealing your web-shooters. before you could snatch them, he threw them behind his back.
you tried to fight against his hold, pushing his hands off your shoulders, trying to knock him out but he had caught your fist in time.
“who are you and what do you want?” you gritted on your teeth, glaring at him through the lenses.
there was a moment of silence, making you impatient as the prowler’s mask retracted and revealed his face.
“miles..” your eyes softened as you lowered your fist.
“hermosa.. (beautiful..)” miles’ hand trailed up to your cheek, caressing your cheek as he is staring at you with a warm and gentle expression on his face.
miles is now beginning to speak and is whispering to you in a soft tone as he looks at you with love and hope in his eyes.
“you look just like her..”
before you could even ask what he was talking about, the boy had cupped your cheek and kissed you on the lips, feel his warm touch as the kiss goes on.
you had never kissed anyone before or even have the thought of kissing your bestfriend… but this miles was making it feel like the best thing you could imagine.
meanwhile. your miles was beginning to wake up as he looked at his surroundings, then spotting another version of himself kissing you. but then, miles slowly moves away from you and looks at you with a loving expression.
"i missed you so much, mi cariño.. (my darling..) it’s like you never even left..” he hugged you tightly in his embrace as you only blushed, not knowing what to do.
then you and miles could hear hear grunting noises from miles, he was struggling to get out of the punching bag as he was still weak.
“don’t touch her!” he yelled out, trying to break free but to no avail. meanwhile, miles only smirked at the other version of himself.
“say.. why don’t you ditch that cabrón (dumbass) and come with me, mami?” miles pulled you closer to him as you met him eye to eye.
“i’m sure i could do way better than he could.”
once those words came out of miles’ lips, miles broke free out of the punching bag in time with his venom powers. he immediately webbed your waist, pulling and twirling you back into his arms.
“nah, man. she’s mine.” a smirk only came up to miles’ lips as his mask retracted back onto his face.
“guess what, chico? i ain’t letting her go… not again..” miles muttered the last part to himself, getting his gauntlet ready to pounce on miles.
before miles could even land, miles had already grabbed your waist, pulling you closer as he still had his web shooters and breaking the windows to escape.
but miles was not going to let you go that easily. he wasn’t going to let his second chance slip away.
“how could you let him even touch you like that?” miles asked as he was swinging from building to building. miles never told you about his feelings, yet, but clearly they were showing.
“you don’t understand, miles! i think he-” miles suddenly cut you off, groaning in pain as he felt a device on his back, electrocuting his body and letting you go.
now you were falling 60ft in the air, trying to shoot your webs as you remembered, the other miles had thrown them away.
“oh sh-” before you could hit the ground, miles had already caught you, landing on a building as he carried you bridal style.
“told you i ain’t letting you go, unlike him.” miles smirked as you were still speechless.
yes, you did have feelings for miles but this miles made you weak in the knees.
miles then noticed from far away that miles was trying to get back up, swinging and trying to find you while miles hid you away from him.
while he hid the both of you, you noticed how close he was as he put his hands on the wall beside your head, panting under his breath.
“now, where were we?” he looked back up to your eyes as your eyes directly went to his lips.
“i think you were asking me to leave my miles for this miles.” you said sarcastically with a playful smile.
“it’s a good idea, dont you think?” a smirk came across his face, leaning in closer.
“mm, i don’t know.. you gotta show me if its worth it or not.” you put a finger to his lips, pushing him away but he took ahold of your wrist, moving them out of the way.
“oh, i’ll definitely show you..”

hi ! how does suo, sakura and kaji (of u write him) when they annoy the hell out of the reader (playfully) and the reader doesn’t want to talk to him anymore how do they comfort the sulking reader?? thank u! i hope you dont die
apology (un)accepted! . wind breaker
where wbk men annoys the hell out of you and you sulk. how do they convince you to forgive them?
featuring : suou hayato, sakura haruka, kaji ren.
cw : fluff fluff fluff, sakura and kaji not being able to apologize, kisses in suou(i just like him ok)
a/n : OHMYGOD ITS ALMOST THE END OF THE YEAR—and i just wrote this?!?! this request has been sitting in my inbox for MONTHS... anon u might as well be dusty rn😕😕🙏 also that last part... r u threatening me😱😱
KAJI REN :
seriously? you're upset over that? he knows you're a little sensitive sometimes, but he didn't expect you to be this sensitive. he just put your water bottle on top of the fridge and laughs at you because you couldn't reach it, and now you're mad at him because of it. he's been 'trying' to apologize, but you would just ignore him.
well, of course, since his apology attempt is just him trying to make small talk with you. he's not good with it, okay? he's been trying to get you to talk just atleast a little, offering you one of his candies, sitting besides you, and even took off his headphone to put besides you and act as if he had lost it so you could give it back to him. he was sure you both would talk like normal again after that, but he was oh so wrong.
you were still upset.
after many unsuccessful 'apology' attempts, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and text his friend, kusumi, to ask for advice. he knows that kusumi probably has never been in a relationship before, but he's great at communicating with people. so he could probably help him, that's what kaji thought. after texting him, kusumi told kaji to "just apologize directly and everything will be okay:)".
well, that doesn't help. after reading kusumi's text for what felt like an hour, he finally mustered up the courage to approach you on the sofa and apologize. "sorry, for earlier." you were happy that he actually apologized, but you want him to be more genuine. so you told him that. "ugh, i'm sorry, okay? dont...ignore me like that again, dumbass."
he may have called you a dumbass, but you're 100% sure that he didn't mean it.
SUOU HAYATO :
would immediately notice your change in behaviour, and he would immediately apologize. but, you being you, stays upset for the whole day. he is so confused on what to do. he offers you tea, he apologized again, but you still won't budge. what do you want him to do? get on his knees so you would forgive him?
well, he can do that. when he does, you immediately told him to stand up and asks what he's doing. "what do you mean? i'm just asking for your forgiveness, love." he says, as if stating the obvious. you waved both your hands in panic infront of your face, saying that he doesn't have to go that far for your forgiveness.
"oh? what do you want me to do, then?" he asked once again, and you go quiet. your fingers are trembling because you can't just possibly tell him to do whatever you want for your forgiveness. but you did anyway. not with your words, but with your actions. you lift your hand and use your finger to point to your lips, asking him to kiss you.
his eyes went wide slightly before he chuckled and approached you. he grabbed you by your chin and gave you a peck on your lips. he pulled back then whispered, "if you want that as an apology, you could've said so since the beginning."
SAKURA HARUKA :
oh, oh no. he's upset that you're upset. well, he's not angry at you. he's confused as to why you would get so upset over a simple little joke. all he did was hid your phone under the pillows in the living room, pretended not to see it—although it failed because he's bad at stifling his laughs, then reveals it to you. he doesn't understand why you would get upset over that.
not only that, sakura is the WORSE(with italic and bold) at apologizing. even worse than kaji. he has way too much pride in himself to actually apologize, which make this predicament much worser for the both of you. but of course, since you're his lovely partner, he'd try his best to apologize to you.
it took a lot of practice in the bathroom, and he finally had the courage to approach you and apologize, even though he is still stuttering. but, when he had the courage, an hour has passed already, and you aren't even upset at him anymore. so when he came up to you and mumbled, "hey, i'm... um... s-sorry, y'know. for earlier. i didn't mean to hurt your feelings." you just chuckled softly at him before quickly pulling him into a hug. you tell him that no, you're not upset anymore at him, and that you appreciate his effort to apologize at you by practicing his apology over and over again for an hour.
he asks you to never mention that last part ever again.

𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭? 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭?

𝐒𝐭𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫
Summary:Billy and stu aren’t friends anymore due to Billy getting with you after you and Stu broke up what happens when Stu catches you crying because of Billy at a party
“Billy?” I said out loud asking where Billy was
“Hey have you guys seen Billy?” I asked a random girl
“Ughh I’m sure he went to get some keg and some beer” she said
“Oh ok” I said before walking away
I plopped myself down on the couch next to Tatum and Randy
“Hey what’s up with the long face” Randy asked me as he was looking through Jamie Lee Curtis movies
“Nothing…just Billy” I said a bit irritated
“Uh-oh what leather face do this time?” Randy asked snarkly
“Nothing he’s just been distance with me lately and I’m not sure if I did anything wrong to upset him”I said in a low voice
“Most likely nothing.don’t think too much of it.Billy is just…Billy you know” Tatum said trying her best not to say shit about Billy
“Do you guys think Billy will break up with me like how Stu did..?” I asked nervously
“If billy breaks up with you he’s much more stupid than Stu’s dumbass” Tatum said
Right when she said that we hear hysterical laughing
We break our necks to see Stu laughing his ass off with some random chicks
Tatum scoffs as Randy shakes his head
I stared at Stu as his stupid long tongue stuck out as he laughed
“Swear wish he had a mute button” Randy said which caused me to giggle
At times I wish things were different
I miss Stu’s jokes and his goofiness
I wish he didn’t leave me so easily as if was nothing
He would constantly be way too flirty with girls so I guess I didn’t miss that so much
But I also guess Billy isn’t perfect
It’s not like I am either
those boys just have problems
I wonder how Stu felt after me and Billy got together
I’m guessing not happy since they’re not friends anymore
It’s still crazy to me that they’re not friends anymore over me?
I quickly break out of my thoughts
As I see Billy walk through the front door with a pack of beer that he harshly tosses to a random dude
“Damn what’s up his ass?” Tatum asked
I shrug
“I should probably go check up on him..” I said
As Randy made ‘Are you sure face you want to do that’ face
I groaned as I got up from the couch walking towards The stairs as Billy made his way up there
Billy banged on the bathroom door
“We’re busy!” Some squeaky female voice said
“Well hurry the hell up!” Billy said very aggressively which caused the girl on the other side of the door to become silent and not respond as whoever she was with groaned
I non-purposely sneaked up behind Billy grabbing his shoulder which caused him to almost shove me
“There you are I’ve been looking for you all night” I said with a soft smile and soft voice
Billy let out a sigh “it’s just you” he said relief
He banged on the door one more time
“Screw it” he said
As he started walking away
“Woah gloomy you ok?” I asked teasingly but still trying not to piss him off
As we entered a bedroom
“Just tired of people” billy said grumbling
“…including me..?” I asked in a quiet voice
“What?” Billy asked in a harsh tone confused
“…it’s just you’ve been cold and distance to me..did I do something to make you mad?” I asked confused
“Just because I’m mad doesn’t automatically mean it’s because of you stop overthinking” he said in a harsh tone which bothered me
“Well obviously something is bothering you I’m just try to help you come on tell me..what’s wrong..?” I said caressing the palm of his hand trying to comfort him
“It’s nothing” he said scoffing
“Well clearly it is” I said getting annoyed
“Just drop it ___” Billy said rudely
“No!tell me what’s wrong!?” I said getting worried
“___,stop!Just Stop!I did not tell you to follow me or to ask me what’s wrong you came on your own!” He yelled at me
“I-“ I tried to speak but my voice was breaking
“I don’t understand what I did wrong..” I said as my voice trembled as tears flooded my eyes
He made me so sensitive
I quickly made my way out the door
[Billy sighed regretting lashing out on you for no reason “You didn’t do anything wrong” he said mostly to himself since you were already gone]
I quickly tried to make my way down the stairs
“Excuse me.sorry” I said accidentally bumping into some people
As I made my way down the stairs I accidentally bumped into someone who was laughing I couldn’t quiet see due to the tears clouding my eyes
it was Stu
His whole demeanor changed as he saw that I was crying
“___? Are you ok?”
Stu asked concerned as his tall figured hovered over me
It surprised me since he’s never serious or concerned it also surprised me that he cared if I was okay or not considering we weren’t on speaking terms or good terms since we broke up
“Yes-no I don’t know” I stuttered as I wiped my tears
“What’s wrong what happened?” Stu asked me concerned once more with furrowed eyebrows as he grabbed my shoulder gently
Suddenly Billy came out of no where up behind us
Stu put one and one together realizing I was crying because of Billy
“Figures” billy said in a rude sarcastic demeanor towards Stu looking dead at him
Before walking away from me and Stu
I looked at billy with Sorrow eyes as he walked away
Suddenly Stu looked back at me then at Billy
And started making his way angrily towards Billy
“Stu!wait no!” I said quickly going after them
Stu grabbed Billy’s shoulder turning him towards him and punching him straight in the face causing Billy to fall straight into a dude holding a beer bottle making it spill every where
“FIGHT!” Some random screamed
As people started shouting
Billy quickly turned back groaning as he grabbed Stu punching him in his jaw
Stu quickly grabbed Billy throwing him as they somehow managed to make it to the next room
Stu was above Billy throwing punches at them
“GUYS!” I yelled as they ignored me
they got shoved into Tatum causing also her drink in her red solo cup to spill “stop fighting you idiots!” Tatum yelled angrily
Billy managed to tackle Stu as they continued throwing hits
“So umm do you like horror movies?” Randy asked a hot chick poorly trying to flirt with her
“Ehh” she replied shrugging
Out of nowhere Billy and Stu crash into Randy causing him to fall on top the girl hovering her
“Get off of me you geek!” She screeched as Randy body was crushing her
“I’m trying!” Randy exclaimed trying not to crush her body even more
“Break it up!” The party host yelled trying to break up the fight but ended getting pushed aggressively to the side by Billy
The host body almost hit Sidney but she quickly got out the way before his body could hit her
As they fought their body’s hit furniture causing the furniture to fall and break
Billy punched Stu really hard in the jaw as Stu pounced Billy’s head
Suddenly they somehow made it out the front door
As everyone ran outside
Billy and Stu were now fighting on the front lawn
“Guys Just stop!” I yelled since they already caused so much damage
I groaned rolling my eyes as they once more ignored me
Out of nowhere there were police sirens which made them stop
“Aww man cops” some dude said
Which caused them to break apart
They stood a good distance from each other
As they were breathing heavily and stared at each other like they were going to kill each other
I just stared at them with disbelief
As billy looked at me with no emotion before walking away
Dewey got out the cop car
“Alright drop your cups and go home kids” Dewey said
“Great could this night get any better” Tatum said irritated before grabbing my hand making me walk away with her from the so called party

Trapped (Art Donaldson/Patrick Zweig)
Description: Y/N is in love with Patrick but when she thinks that he doesn’t like her back she starts hooking up with Art who is in love with. When Patrick tells Art he likes Y/N without knowing Art and her were hooking up, Art will stop at nothing to make sure they don’t end up together.
Word Count: 3,859k
Author’s note: I didn’t put the warnings because it would be a spoiler. Also I still can’t comment anything on my own posts but I appreciate all the compliments! Thank you sm!! I don’t know why I can’t comment
When Y/N first met Art Donaldson she didn’t think anything of him. He was a well known Tennis player at Stanford and was on his way to becoming big. Art was nice and caring. But Y/N had her eyes on his best friend Patrick Zweig. Patrick was a bit of a player but had her heart. He constantly flirts with her but never makes an actual move. Resulting in Y/N and Art hooking up. Art was attractive Y/N never thought otherwise and when she realized that Patrick probably wasn’t into her she fell into the arms of Art.
Someone who was into her. But it was just sex. Great sex but still sex. After they had sex Y/N would get up and leave his dorm while Art stared at the door praying that Y/N would come to her senses and realize that he was the one for her. Y/N was his best friend besides Patrick and she never mistreated him and almost gave him everything he wanted. But yet he was ungrateful. Anytime he saw Patrick and her talking and laughing he was scared that Patrick would make the ultimate move on her that would end whatever they had going on.
Y/N was at all of his games alongside Patrick cheering him on. When he won (which was almost every time) she would give him the best blowjob of his life. “So are you and Y/N…” Patrick trailed off as him and Art ate lunch together. Art looked at him and laughed. “Why? You finally into her or something?” God he hoped not. Patrick shrugged and it took everything in Art not to drop his smile. “I feel like I should have made a move on her a long time ago.” He said, Art nodded. “Yeah she’s an amazing girl.” Art said.
“Do you think she’s still into me?” Art looked at him and shrugged. “She never talks about you.” That was a lie. Y/N constantly talked about him. To her understanding there are no feelings between her and Art. “Well I guess there’s only one way to tell.” “What are you going to do?” “Talk to her later you dumbass.” Art hummed and felt sick. He almost had everything and Patrick was going to ruin it.
Y/N gave Art a key to her room. He had a few hoodies there that she had taken from him that he told her he wanted back. She found it odd since he never cared before but gave him the key. As he entered the room he took in the scent. He loved the smell, it reminded him of her. He wasn’t sure where the hoodies were so he went over to her dresser. That’s when he saw her birth control.
He stared at it for a good few minutes before he thought about it. If he gets her pregnant she can’t go be with Patrick. She’d have to stay with him. But that was wrong and he knew it. He grabbed the pills and put them in his Tennis bag. He found the hoodies and left her room, guilt consuming him. “So we are going to have to be extra careful when we fuck because I can’t find my birth control pills and I don’t have time to get a refill so buy some condoms.” She told him as they walked back to her dorm. “Got it.” He said. “Well I guess I’ll see ya tomorrow.” She said and he nodded.
The next night they fucked for the first time without her being on the pill and to make matters worse Art poked a hole in the condom before she got there. He prayed that this worked. After he came he pulled out and quickly threw away the condom. “Art why does it feel like you came in me?” She asked. He looked at her confused. She reached her fingers down and gasped as she felt his cum leak out of her. “Art holy shit.” She sat up quick. “I don’t understand. I wore a condom.” He said. “It must have broke without either of us noticing.” She said and went to his bathroom to clean herself up.
The next few weeks Art made sure not to do that for a while so it wasn’t so obvious what he was trying to do. One day Y/N didn’t show up to his game or class. He was concerned and went to check up on her. She was sick. She had been puking all morning and felt terrible. “I think maybe I’m just ill.” She said but how? Y/N was very healthy and never got sick. “I’ll take you to the doctors, come on.” Art was keeping Patrick updated on the situation. Patrick really wanted to talk to her but she was so busy. “Well Ms.Y/L/N you’re pregnant.” The doctor told her. Her jaw dropped and she felt tears in her eyes. She nodded and left the room to go find Art who was waiting in the waiting room.
He stood up as he saw her, “Are you okay?” She shook her head and started crying. He hugged her as she cried. “What’s wrong?” He asked. She pulled away from the hug and sighed, “I’m pregnant.” She whispered. He wanted to celebrate but knew that this wasn’t something planned by the both of them. “What?” He asked softly. She nodded. “And it’s yours.” He gave her a soft smile, “wow.” “Art we aren’t fit to be parents, we aren't even together.” She said.
“We could be.” He said and she shook her head. “We just fuck and I like Patrick.” That annoyed him but he kept it together. “Patrick doesn’t feel the same way Y/N plus you deserve better.” He told her. “How do you know?” She asked him, “He told me.” “No how do you know what I deserve?” He was speechless. He wanted to tell her that he loved her but wasn’t sure that was the right answer. “Can you just take me back?” She asked after silence. He nodded and they left.
It was a few weeks before Art heard from her. She cried and sobbed for weeks not knowing what to do. Art felt terrible for what he did but he could never tell her. Patrick was upset that she was pregnant and it was by his best friend but he didn’t find that out from Art. He knocked on Y/N’s door worried about why he hadn’t seen her in a while. She answered the door and she looked like a mess. “Holy shit are you okay?” He asked her. She shook her head and let him in. “What happened?” He asked as he shut the door.
She sat on the bed and cried. He sat on the bed with her and pulled her into his chest letting her cry. He rubbed her back and tried calming her down. “Patrick I love you so much.” She said through tears. His eyes widened and he looked down at her. “I know you don’t feel the same way but I needed you to know that.” She said. He smiled and laughed, “are you kidding me? Of course I feel the same way.” Her heart broke. “I’ve been meaning to tell you for awhile now.” He said and cupped her face.
At any other time she would have been so happy and smiled but she didn’t. He leaned down to kiss her but before he could she whispered his name. “I’m pregnant with Art’s baby.” He pulled away and looked shocked. “You and Art had sex?” He asked hurt. “We’ve been hooking up for awhile now but only because I didn’t think you liked me back and he confirmed that to me.” She said. “Y/N Art told me you didn’t have feelings for me.” They both look at each other and realized. Art was a shitty friend.
Y/N banged on Art’s door. He quickly got up and opened the door. There stood a fuming Y/N who had tears streaming down her face. “Hey where have you-“ She smacked him across the face. “You asshole.” She yelled. He was taken back by her sudden anger towards him. “You told both me and Patrick that we didn’t like each other when we did.” She yelled. “You talked to Patrick?” He asked annoyed.
“Is that all you heard? How about the fact that you’re a shitty friend?” She screamed. He looked down at her words, she was right. “Why the fuck would you lie?” She asked. He didn’t say anything and kept looking down. She pulled his chin so that they were making eye contact. “Answer me.” She yelled. “Because I love you!” He yelled back. “And I want to be with you but you want him and he doesn’t deserve you.” He yelled.
“Art, it’s not your place to say whether or not he deserves me.” She tells him. “I know but I can’t, I can’t live without you Y/N. When you told me you were pregnant I was so happy because I thought that finally we could have a shot but no matter what I see now that you will always choose him.” He had tears streaming down his face. Her eyes softened. “Art.” She whispered and walked over to him. “I get it just go be with you him. Just let me see the kid.” He said. She shook her head and cupped his face. “No.” She whispered. She leaned in and kissed him. He was shocked but kissed her back. He pulled her closer and deepened the kiss. This was all he ever wanted and he got it.
Y/N finished her first years of college before dropping out. Art stayed in college and managed to become a pro in Tennis. They got a house together near campus so he could still go while she stayed at home. He worried for her and never wanted to leave her alone. Patrick and him were no longer friends. Art got Tashi Duncan as his coach who also helped Y/N. She never judged Y/N for getting pregnant at 19 unlike her family. She made it so Art could continue school and not have to worry.
Y/N was about ready to pop any second it seemed. Her due date was near so she and Art got everything ready for when the time was to come. It would be in the middle of the night that Y/N woke up screaming in pain. Art freaked out but took her to the hospital and called Tashi. Tashi was there at the hospital as Y/N got ready to push. Art held her hand as she screamed and cried as she pushed out his baby for dear life. Art looked as he heard the baby cry and saw her. He started crying seeing his beautiful baby girl. Tashi smiled as she saw the baby and congratulated the two.
Playing Tennis and raising a baby was hard but they managed to do it. They both always talked about how she was gonna love Tennis and want to play. She looked just like Art but was a mommy’s girl.
“Are you sure everything’s okay?” “Yes Babe Tashi is with her, she'll be fine.” Art assured her. She smiled as they walked down the beach that her Art and Patrick used to walk down all those years ago. Their daughter was almost 2 now and everything was perfect. Well almost. Art had a ring in his pocket that he kept playing with out of nerves. “Are you okay?” Y/N asked him as she noticed how nervous he looked. He smiled and shook his head, “I’m perfect.” She smiled but Art stopped walking.
Y/N turned to him confused. “Y/N, I love you so much more than anything on this planet. I couldn’t imagine a life without you or Y/D/N.” He got down on one knee. Y/N covered her mouth with her hand as tears formed in her eyes. “Will you marry me?” He asked. She nodded and smiled, “Yes Art.” She said and pulled him up for a kiss. He smiled into the kiss and pulled away to put the ring on her finger.
The wedding wasn’t anything crazy just a simple one with close friends and family. Their daughter was the flower girl and Tashi was her maid of honor. Y/N sighed as she stood staring in the mirror as she got her wedding dress on. She looked beautiful. “Are you nervous?” Tashi asked. Y/N looked at her and shook her head, “Nope. I’m so excited and happy.” She said and it was the truth.
She knew that her and Art were meant to be. She had no fear or cold feet. Art stood in the mirror at the same time as her except he was nervous. Y/N hadn’t seen him without his curls as he just got his haircut today. He tried to push in the back of his head what he did years ago. He sighed and stepped away from the mirror.
Y/N’s father walked her down the aisle. She sighed and looked around at everyone in the chairs staring at her, some in awe. She looked at Art and gasped. He cut his hair. He looked really good. They smiled at each other and what felt like eternity she was finally down the aisle. She faced Art and they both stared at each other in awe. I like your hair, she mouthed to him.
He smiled and thanked her as the priest talked. The phrase “you may now kiss the bride.” Couldn’t come fast enough but when it did. They both laughed in relief and kissed. They sealed their love with a kiss and the crowd cheered.
Art wasn’t at his best and Tashi couldn’t stop giving him shit for it. She had put him in a challenger claiming that he needed his confidence back. “She says I’m not confident enough.” Art told his wife as they got in bed. She turned to him, “Is she wrong?” He shook his head, “I don’t know.” “From what I know you’re one of the best.” She said and winked at him. He laughed and pulled her on top of him. She leaned down and kissed him.
“Patrick Zweig is here?” He asked in anger. Tashi nodded and looked over at Y/N who didn’t look upset at all. “Yes but you can beat him.” Tashi told him. Could he though? Y/N never was sure about that but maybe all this anger he had towards Patrick would help or would it distract him?
“I feel like she planned this.” Art said as they walked into the hotel. “Doubt it babe it’s just coincidence.” She said. It was also a coincidence that Patrick was at the same hotel at the bar. Luckily Art didn’t notice but Y/N did. “I’ll meet you back in the room I’m going to meet up with Tashi.” She told him. He kissed her and entered the elevator. Patrick didn’t see her but she walked up to him. “Patrick?” He turned around and his jaw dropped.
“Y/N.” He exclaimed and hugged her, she giggled and hugged him back. “You look amazing.” He told her. “You do too.” He did oh god he did. He looked sexy. They stared at each other for a while, no words exchanged. Patrick saw the wedding ring on her finger. “So you married him?” He asked trying to hide the disappointment. She nodded, “yeah I did.” “How’s he doing?” “Good.” He nodded. “I don’t have a lot of time Pat but I just wanted to say Hi.”
“I’m glad you did.” She walked away but he called her name again. She turned to face him, “Do you ever think about what would have happened if you never got pregnant?” She didn’t answer him she just looked down. “Goodnight Patrick.” She said and walked away.
She stared at the ceiling wide awake as Art slept next to her. She couldn’t stop thinking about him. Patrick. His question. Of course she thought about it. How could she not? It was sick to say but that was the only reason she gave Art a chance. She doesn’t regret it though but of course the what if? Crossed her mind.
She cheered as Art won over and over again leading up to the finales. Tashi may have been hard on him but it paid off. Y/N hadn’t seen Patrick since that night. She wondered how he was doing, she never got to ask. She didn’t tell Art that she saw him let alone talked to him. That would make him more mad than he already was. It was the final game before the finals. It looked like him and Patrick would be facing off.
“Hey Art forgot his bag can you go grab it for him?” Tashi asked. She nodded and walked off to the locker room. She went to his locker and grabbed the bag. She smiled as she saw it was the one from college. She swung it over her shoulder but heard what sounded like pills? She put the bag down and looked in the bag for what that noise could possible be. She shuffled the bag again and opened the front pocket. She pulled out pills. She was confused until she realized that they were birth control pills. WTF? She thought.
She gasped when she realized that they were the ones she lost. Why did Art have them? She never took them around him. She shook her head and put them in her pocket and took the bag to Art. “Hey I’ll be right back.” She tells him and she walks away. She takes the pills out of her pocket trying to figure out why he had them. She sat on the grass and thought really hard. She gasped as she remembered how Art hated the fact that she and Patrick liked each other. He lied to both of them about the other's feelings.
Y/N remembered the time he asked for her keys and after that day she couldn’t find the pills. Art took them. She felt sick as she realized. Tears were streaming down her face as she realized that Art planned her getting pregnant. She got up and put the pills back in her pocket. “Hey.” She looked up and saw Patrick. “Hi.” He could see her teary eyes and walked up to her. “Are you okay?” He asked her. “Can you pick me up at midnight?” She ignored his question. “Sure…but are you okay?” He asked her, “we will talk about it.” She tells him and walks away.
Art had won and was in the finals with Patrick. She hide her sickness towards him and congratulated him. Art hadn’t suspected a thing thankfully.
“Promise me that if I lose tomorrow it won’t matter.” Art stood in the bathroom doorway. She looked at him confused. “What?” “If I lose tomorrow, promise me that it’ll be okay. We will be okay.” She stared at him, “Why wouldn’t be?” “Baby please.” “Yes Art everything will be okay. I don’t care what the outcome is tomorrow I will love you no matter what.” She tells him and unfortunately that was the truth. She’s grown to love him and even though what he did was awful she still did love him.
Patrick smiled as he saw Y/N run to his car. She got in the passenger seat. “Drive.” He pulled away from the hotel and drove off. “You wanna tell me what this is about?” He asked. “Pull over first.” She told him. He turned into an empty parking lot and parked. He turned towards her. She looked at him and handed him the pill bottle. He looked at it, “birth control pills? Why are you giving me these?” He asked her.
“I was taking those all through high school and college and never once missed a beat.” She tells him. “Okay?” She sighed, “Remember when I got pregnant?” He nodded. “Art took those from me so it would happen.” Patrick’s jaw dropped, “what? Are you sure?” She nodded. “I found those in his Tennis bag he had from college, he brought it with him and I never took those in front of him. One night I give him my key so he can take back his hoodies and after that I couldn’t find them.” “He hated that we liked each other.” Patrick said, “he lied about it Patrick.
He wanted this. Hell when I went to his room to confront him he guilt tripped me. I wasn’t going to be with him just cuz he got me pregnant. I loved you.” She exclaimed. “Y/N?” She looked at him, “do you still have feelings for me?”
Patrick looked over at Y/N as he bounced the ball. Y/N kept a straight face as he bounced the ball a few times. Art watched as Patrick put the ball to the center of the racket. Art’s face dropped and he looked at Y/N. She wasn’t even looking at him. He looked at Patrick who nodded and smirked. “Fuck off.” He yelled. Patrick hit the ball and Art didn’t hit it back. Y/N held back tears as she watched Art’s world crumble. Why did she feel bad for him?
Y/N hugged Patrick after they both came down from their highs. He inhaled her sweet scent. “I’ve dreamt about doing that.” He said in her neck. “In your stinky car?” She joked. He chuckled, “not exactly but it works.” He said and pulled away from her neck. She kissed him and it wasn’t full of lust. No it wasn’t something else. Love? He kissed back.
They played Tennis like they hadn’t played Tennis before. And it was a great scene. Art was definitely angered but felt like it was deserved. Patrick was on top of the world that he got to sleep with Y/N. It was a crazy thing when at first it wasn’t clear who won.
Y/N laid on Patrick’s chest as they laughed. “So you and Art had a secret way of telling each other when you fucked someone?” She asked. He nodded, “Yup. I almost wanna do it tomorrow.” “Will he know it’s about me?” “He should.” “Do it then.” Patrick looked down at her, shocked. “Really?” She nodded and looked up at him. “But I still love him.” She said softly and Patrick nodded.
Art entered the hotel room with Y/N walking behind him. “So Patrick and you?” He asked. She nodded, “Why?” She took out the pills and gave them to him. His face turned more white than it already was. “How did you find these?” He asked her. “Your tennis bag is the same one from college.” She told him. “You hate me now don’t you?” He asked softly. She shook her head, “ No. I should but I don’t.” He looked up at her with relief. “You’re a piece of shit Art.” She tells him and his face drops. “But I’m willing to forgive you if we can add Patrick into our relationship. I’m not an idiot, I know you two had a thing for each other.”

Analysis on Katsuki’s Ending
Spoilers for the end of the manga and leaks of volume 42
Long analysys thread:
I am devastated because of the leaks
Because of Katsuki.
His journey throughout the story consisted about taking accountability for his mistakes: for the bullying he did.
And oh, he did learn. He did take accountability.
From win to save, he learned to save to win. He helped Izuku train OFA. Got impaled and saved Izukus life.
Then, he apologized without expecting an answer, because he meant it. Katsuki understood that Izuku didn’t have to respond. (Seriously, what would he say? Thank you for taking accountability for making me miserable during highschool?) Izuku left that past behind ever since he took the “Deku is worth nothing” and rephrased it to: the Deku who can do his best. What I most like about his apology, is that Deku didn’t answer, and Bakugo didn’t demand nor expected one, because it wasn’t necessary. It was Bakugo’s thing to do.
Then, Katsuki died while thinking about him, because Izuku went from the kid he pushed away, to a man he admired:
Fighting through the pain: this is the path you have been walking all this time.
I have to win, right, Izuku?
Can I still catch up to you?
Then, he got another chance at life. He promised that he would never get in between his way ever again, recalling the times he used to bully him.
Here is what makes me weak for him. The way he never forgived himself for what he did. Katsuki was linked to Izuku forever with that way of thinking and acting: although he apologized and walked forward, he never forgot what he did. And he atoned and atoned and atoned. Which isn’t bad. Don’t get me wrong.
But everyone has to move on: he apologized. got impaled for him. And then, much later, built Izuku a suit. HE, of all people, the one who used to bully Deku for being quirkless, gave him his dream BACK.
That’s another fact that makes me weak. Because Bakugo’s heart changed: he believed quirkless people were losers. He bullied. Now, he understands his mistakes and has tried to atone for so, so long. He is not the same and will never do that again.
(What about his foul mouth? You could ask. Man. Thats literally a façade. Or that’s how I interpret it. Bark don’t bite. Bro is a dumbass, but is not a bad person.)
All this leads me to the dream he made for himself and Izuku in it: to compete forever. He never cut the link to Izuku. Never got over him. Never stopped atoning.
To sum up: it hurts me that after so much atoning for Izuku, he never atoned for himself. He just got attached to him, revolved his life to Izuku.
Izuku did move on: life makes you walk different paths. He found something in teaching that, clearly, topped off his desire to compete with his childhood friend. He moved on. Remember: 8 years have gone by. Izuku moved on from OFA but Katsuki DIDN’T!
And that’s why his ending hurts. Because he never let go. And that makes me so, so, so sad.
In twitter some say it’s karma. Deku doesn’t have to stick to him for his entire life and I agree: I am happy for Izuku and the path he forged to walk. A new dream. A new person. Not the 17 year old he was.
But Katsuki never let go of the dream he built at 17 and always knew that he would ensure Izukus his dream back. (While Izuku didnt know it would happen so he moved forward…)
Izuku is noble and wants to keep teaching, he has kids to motivate and yada yada. It’s amazing how he has evolved as a character and as an adult. His dream isn’t the same as Katsuki’s anymore. Not the same 17 year olds wanting to compete for the rest of their lifes.
And now, cut to the present. Izuku rejects Katsuki because his dream has changed.
I do believe Izuku recognized Bakugo’s efforts. He has said he is welcome and appreciates the suit!!!! He is happy to be able to fight alongside class 1A!!! this dialogue seems to be forgotten somehow!! My point is: their goals are different now. Izuku moved away from OFA once he lost it / Bakugo never forgot it and kept fighting for it building a suit, that Izuku is thankful for! But seems like competing w his childhoodfriend isnt his main goal anymore
And this change didnt happen quickly because there has been a timeskip! Of 8 years!
However, readers believe it was rushed because all that introspection was cut. I don’t blame you, in fact, I agree with you all. An elypsis wasn’t the right choice to make, but how could have Horikoshi finished the manga!? He cant keep drawing forever! This mangaka was suffering the last year, taking a lot of breaks because his health was in shambles. Therefore, a timeskip it was. But maybe not the best choice to the story, I guess.
But stories sometime need to be concluded. Cant keep holding on for them forever. You can blame it on writing decisions. Anyway, let’s get back to the main point.
The ending hurts from Katsuki’s perspective because he got rejected, because he never let Izuku go. And now, he has a chance to. To develop himself as a man separate of Izuku.
As a shipper it hurts like hell, but man. Katsuki did love him. Take it as romantic or platonic i dont care. But Katsuki cared. A lot. Izuku, I am sure that too. But rejecting the offer doesn’t mean he hates him or is a bad person: he never asked for that suit, he reshaped his dream.
And I repeat. The truth hurts. Reality hurts. And still, this ending was… truly realistic, from their point of view. In that manner, it satisfies me. But on the other hand, as a fan, as a shipper, a fanfiction writer, the ending hurts and I will cope with fan content on my behalf.
The ending wasn’t ass. It was realistic. That’s my take.
(I won’t talk about Izuocha. I do believe it was rushed and off. That’s for another post. Pls don’t talk about Izuocha in this post since they are not the main focus)

do you think reader would find out about rafes addiction? even if he doesn’t use around her?
i was thinking about this last night so I YAPPED HARD IM SORRY, but to summarize:
so in my head he's gone to rehab already, like it was really bad between the ages of 16-19, but he's like 21/22 in my story therefore, i feel like he managed to put himself through rehab (or ward forced him). he still smokes weed tho, when he's anxious but he sorta forgets about it when he's around reader and especially why they get together officially. he's not the same party monster he used to be, just enjoys a glass of whiskey here and there. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
if he and ward got in a huge fight (his mom is alive in this, she just left so i'd say maybe she got in contact with ward about wanting to see the kids and rafe snaps because she was always coming and going when he was kid, and eventually never came back after weezie was born), he'd lose it completly and he wouldn't know what to do with himself bc he can't let you see him like that, like the old rafe. sooooo being the hasty dumbass that he is he'd go to barry's and he'd get highhh as kite.
and you'd find out bc it's the fucking cut obviously, everyone knows each other so maybe your sister was coming home from work and drove past barry's, saw rafe leave and once she gets home she's like?? since when's rafe's friends with barry??? and you KNOW immediately. you just feel something's wrong bc he told about his past (its canon that he told reader everything after their first time together idc).
this would be like a year and a half into the relantionship so ITS BAD BAD, bc what do you mean he went to his old drug dealer??? fell into old habits that almost killed him back then and NOT TO HIS GIRLFRIEND??? you'd be heartbroken obviously. and this would be one of the biggest fights ever i feel like, it wouldn't last just a day, it would go on on for weeks cause he knows you're disappointed and he can't bring himself to look at you.
let me know if you'd be interested in seeing this go down properly <3 bc now i kinda want to write it 🤪

Kei with a male reader. figure their on the debate club or something and Kei vents to them because their a non biased person regarding volleyball and his team. Figure they give encouragement and kei just bluntly asks them out.
Guess who’s back (back again) I am back! (Once again)
Friends to lovers, i dont know anything about debating
*********
“-and that tiny-ass-mother-”
“Too strong, Kei, try to keep the emotions at an even level so it doesn’t cloud your judgement.”
“Huh? I’m not debating this, he’s tiny!” Kei huffed, cheeks pink and puffed ever so slightly as (Y/N) chuckled.
“Right, sorry, continue.”
Kei was currently flopped on (Y/N)’s bed, who was sitting at his desk, a notepad and pen in hand, looking like a therapist.
“He’s so annoying. We’re doing basic drills and these two just keep arguing! They argue about this, they argue about that! All they do is argue!” His hands dramatically extended to the air.
“Mhm, and how does that make you feel?” Kei sighed at his friend’s poor attempt to be funny, who found it just a little funny to fuck with him. If Kei didn’t like him so much, he would’ve kicked his ass for not taking this outrageous news to heart.
“Awful, because after practice I came here only to have your ass joking about my suffering.” There was obviously no malice behind the words; a playful undertone was hanging from them as his heart sped up. He huffed, again, and rolled to his side, cheeks turning more red, “If you were there, you’d understand.”
“Maybe, the only teammate of yours I know is Yamaguchi.” (Y/N) continued writing in the notepad for a few seconds. “Do you know why they fight?”
“‘Cause they’re stupid.” Kei snorted out, a proud look on his face as he rolled onto his back. “And immature, can’t forget that part.” He heard his friend hum, acknowledging his words. “But, you have no idea how much that twerp gets me so… angry! Genuinely, he’s the most annoying guy I know!”
“Have the captains-”
“Captain, technically there’s just one captain.”
“Just gonna down-play one, got it.” (Y/N) grinned, “Has the captain and co-captain, or whatever term you guys use, talked to them?”
Remembering how the two were literally thrown out because they couldn’t get along with each other, Kei bursted into a short, obnoxiously loud laugh, “You have no idea, they literally kicked them out of the gym until they could get along!”
Surprise was evident on (Y/N)’s face, “Wow, that, uh, yeah, that is a pretty intense hatred.”
Kei let out a long, exasperated sigh. “I can’t deal with those two, I swear.” He mumbled, rubbing his face, glasses pushed up to his forehead. “Thanks for letting me rant, without much interruption of course.”
“No prob, dog-”
“Gross.” If only he didn’t like this debating nerd.
“It’s always good to get stuff off your chest.”
“Is that way you joined the debate club?”
“No, I just like telling people they’re wrong.”
“I- that happens? I thought… actually, I don’t know what I thought.” (Y/N) cackled as he continued writing. Kei’s heart swelled at the noise, staring at the faint outlines of those glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling, no doubt that (Y/N) had since childhood. He sighed obnoxiously loud, again, “What am I gonna doooo,”
“Well you could quit-”
“No?” Kei scoffed at the audacity of this man to even think he’d quit volleyball because of those two dumbasses.
“-or you can tough it out. Just because they don’t get along now, doesn’t mean they never will. I bet in a couple weeks they’ll tolerate each other and stop being annoying.” The emotionally intelligent one said, still writing in the notepad.
“Yeah, I will.” As if he wasn’t already doing that.
The two sat in silence, for only a couple minutes. Kei went onto his phone, scrolling through whatever app was available to him. His face was still warm, heart still faster than normal. He liked the other boy for quite some time now, but he never had the guts to actually say anything. Hell, Kei wasn’t even sure if (Y/N) even liked him as a friend, but at this point it’d be awkward if he didn’t, so he assumes yes.
Kei took a deep breath, heart pounding faster and face turning red as he sat up, phone discarded to the side. Might as well confess after spilling your hateful guts, right?
“(Y/N),” He got a hum as said boy stopped writing, making eye contact with a red Kei, “Wanna go out with me?”
(Y/N) froze, the bluntness and randomness completely taken him by surprise. He felt his face heat up and tried to keep his composure, “Wow, very blunt and straight forward, never expected less from you, Tsukki.” He grinned.
“Oh, fuck you.” (Y/N) laughed as Kei deadpanned, not fond of how his friend called him by his childish nickname. “Statement: retracted.” He crossed his arms and tilted his head.
“Wait- no- Kei, I’m sorry!” (Y/N) snorted, amused by Kei’s childish actions, “I’m sorry, you just took me by surprise and I had to get you back! Yes, yes, I’ll date you, sourpuss.”
“Hm, I don’t know if you deserve it anymore.” A smile crept onto Kei’s face no matter how hard he tried to stay nonchalant. (Y/N)’s grin widened, setting the notepad and pencil down.
“Fine, you leave me no choice,” He held his hands up in a mock surrender, “I guess we’ll both just be single for the rest of our lives, forever craving the touch of one another.” He held a hand over his heart, almost tipping the chair over with how far he leaned back.
“God, you’re weird.” Kei feigned disgust at the display in front of him.
The two laughed as they finished whatever they just did, the afternoon sun casting a shadow into the dimly lit room.
(Y/N) got up from his spot, “So, are we dating?” He asked as he sat beside Kei.
Kei’s heart once again sped up at the closeness of the other, “Uhm, I don’t know,” he didn’t know why he was awkward now, perhaps his brain was occupied with how easily he could lay down and finally cuddle (Y/N) like he’s thought of for the past couple of months, or perhaps it just suddenly got really hot out of no where, “are we?”
(Y/N) pretended to think, putting a finger to his chin as he leaned on Kei, “Sure, why not?”

OCEAN EYES | connor bedard
chapter one.
➴ warnings: swearing, underage drinking.
➴ word count: 3.2k
➴ author's note: omg this is my first time actually publishing something i wrote. the things i do for you, connor bedard. hope u like it <3
“SOMETHING tells me I shouldn’t be surprised to see you like this, but I still am.” You hear his voice before you can actually see him, which makes you wipe your tears fast and sigh loudly.
A girl can’t cry to her favorite Marvel movie anymore.
“You should try minding your own business. It’s super fun,” you say, putting the bowl of popcorn down and pausing the movie.
“Why would I even do that? Minding yours is way funnier.” Alex says, putting his luggage on the floor and sitting right beside you. You fight the urge to hug him tightly just because you don’t want to admit you’ve missed him a lot.
“What are you even doing here?”
He scoffs. “Last time I checked, this was my house.”
“You know what I mean,” you roll your eyes. “What are you doing here? You weren’t supposed to be back in Illinois until tomorrow evening.”
“Well, after yesterday’s W, we thought it’d be great to be back earlier,” he grinned and you sighed, again. You knew what that meant.
Winning equals partying in Hockey world and usually, the party happened at Alex’s house since he had a big ass house, no wife, no parents, no kids. Just an eighteen year old sister living with him before moving to her own apartment.
Having a somewhat famous brother wasn’t exactly in your to-do list but here we are. After Alex joined the Blackhawks, everything went upside down in the best way possible. For him, you mean.
For you and my parents it meant going to every game, every party, every important dinner. And even though you’re not complaining at all, it was so much in such little time. So you’re still getting used to it.
But Alex won’t make it any easier. Every time they win and come back home, it’s a party. Your parents stopped showing up after the first one— they opened the door of the guest room (where they were staying) to find Donato fucking some random girl. It wasn’t exactly his best moment, you’ll give him that.
“What time does it start? You ask, starting your movie again.
“Eight p.m. sharp. Bedsy will be here so you can be weird together or whatever y’all teenagers do.”
“You’re just five years older than me, dumbass. Just because you bought your own mansion at twenty-two, doesn’t mean that you’re that old.”
“Whatever. The point here is: y’all weird.”
As much as you’d like to prove him otherwise, he isn’t one hundred percent wrong.
You and Connor met two years ago, when he and Madi were still living in Sweden. Despite what everyone thinks, some NHL agents already had their eyes on Connor, so they’d casually invite him (and he always brought Madi with him) to games, including the games your brother would play.
You befriended his sister quickly because, hello, she’s just the best human being in the entire world (hopes Chloe doesn’t hear you) and suddenly, going to his games wasn’t that bad anymore.
One day, Madi couldn’t go to one of the games, so when you went to chat with her, you just found Connor, chilling by himself.
“Hum, hi?” You remember saying, very embarrassed and awkward. You weren’t afraid of him, you had spoken to him before and he is friendly, despite what everyone else seems to think. He’s just. Quiet.
“Hi, Ellie,” he answered, taking his eyes off the rink for once. His face was like always: expressionless. “Madi couldn’t make it today. I’m the only Bedard you’ll have today, I’m afraid.”
You laughed, because, what, had he just made a joke? Crazy. Then you sat on the seat beside him and made yourself comfortable, trying to find Alex in the sea of big, aggressive men.
That was kind of the beginning of your friendship. Just like that, you talked his ears off during the entire game, complaining more than speaking, really. You’re not much of a calm person when it comes to game watching. And whenever you thought he wasn’t listening, you’d stop talking, and then he’d look at you and say things like:
“So? Where’s the rest of the story? I’m interested in why you think The Incredible Hulk is the worst Marvel movie.”
And then, when he joined your brother’s team, you were more than happy. He and Mads got to be closer and you could hang out with her whenever school and her job let you.
“I don’t think we are weird. At all. We’re just not excited about partying every single day like you are.” You replied, trying to distract yourself from the fact that Natasha Romanoff had just died on screen.
It should have been that fucking Clint asshole. Fuck him.
“Every time I throw a party here, you both just stay on the couch talking and talking, not a single drink in y’all’s hands. I get that you can’t really drink yet but at your age I was getting shit faced whenever I had the chance.”
“That isn’t the brag you think it is but fine,” He flipped you off and you smiled. “Can I invite Chloe?”
“I mean, I invited fifty guys to our house, you might as well invite your annoying girlfriend as well.” He used that one tone he always used whenever he’s annoyed and it made you roll your eyes, again.
“She isn’t annoying.”
Even though it isn’t a lie, it felt like one. Ever since you started hanging out with the players of Alex’s team more, she started to act weird. And she’s kind of obsessed with Bedard. But then again, half of the hockey community is so.
No biggie.
“Whatever, loser,” he slapped your forehead and you hit him with the pillow you were resting your head on. “You stink.”
“You fucking stink. Go change into something that isn’t a suit, weirdo.”
“I will, but not because you asked me to. I was going to do that anyway.”
You smirked. “Of course you were.”
—
EVEN though you didn’t plan on staying up the entire night like your brother and some of his teammates— the majority of the guys your brother invited were still in his twenties like him, so they don't have big responsibilities like kids or wives or husbands—, you still dressed up a bit.
Thankfully this isn’t anything fancy, so you just put on a black, silky, maxi skirt, a corset-like tube top and low heels. Since you got lazy and ended up listening to music instead of getting ready, you had to put your hair in a slick bun because it was already eight and you still weren’t ready. So, slick bun it is.
Your phone rings and you pick it up, reading Chloe’s texts:
You sent a quick nice and put on some perfume. It’s not long until you hear a quick knock on my door, followed by a blonde mess that you like to call your best friend.
“Hi, oh my God, you look stunning.” You say as soon as you both make eye contact, because Chloe’s just so freaking beautiful.
“I know,” she replies, sitting on your bed. “How are you?”
“I’m fine. Not really in the mood for partying though.”
“Are you kidding?” She slaps her knees with her hands, a smile on her face. “You have a house— no. Not a house. A mansion full of hot hockey players and you’re not in the mood for partying? What do you mean!”
You shrug. “You know I’ve never really cared about hockey. I don’t see the appeal, if I’m being honest.”
It’s true. Even before Alex made it to the NHL, you always thought hockey was just… alright. You don’t get why people get so excited to see some guys throwing a puck and skating. The fights are always fun to watch, though.
“You’re crazy,” she says, and you think she’s probably right. “Is Bedard coming?”
“I don’t really know. Maybe?” You replied, turning around and facing her. “Maybe yes. He’s on the team after all and he did score the last goal.”
“So. I need you to do something for me.” Chloe replied after a minute or two, and just by seeing the crazy look she has on her face, you knew that this isn't a really good thing.
You sigh. “What do you need?”
“I need you to introduce me to him.”
“Him?” You ask, confusion taking over your entire face.
She rolls her eyes. “Connor! I need you to introduce me to Connor!”
You don’t know why but her sentence makes your heart beat faster. You don’t like this feeling or her words either. But you just swallow your discomfort down and try to keep your expression neutral.
“Bedard? Why do you want that? You’ve never even acknowledged him in the past two years.”
“Well, I was waiting for him to make the move, but he’s so oblivious sometimes,” she says, sighing. “Honestly, I thought he liked you. You know, with how close you both are.”
You almost choke on your own spit. “Connor? Liking me?”
“I know it sounds crazy, but you can’t really blame me though. You’re all over each other and you even sit on his lap during movie nights.”
True. But also, not true.
“Well, I do that with all of my friends. I mean, I would do that if I had more friends. It’s not really my fault I just have you, Madi, Alex and Connor. I can sit on your lap if you want to—”
“Ew, not happening,” she fake-gags, making you laugh. “Anyway. Recently he said in an interview that he is single and not interested in anyone in particular. Soo, that’s my chance!”
You don’t know if you’re more weirded out with the fact that she watched one of his interviews or with the fact that she wants to be with him. And what makes you feel even weirder is the fact that you actually can picture them as a couple.
Chloe is your perfect WAG: blonde, rich, tall, good on cameras and gorgeous, even for an eighteen year old, fresh out of high school. She’s always at random, fancy parties because she says college isn’t for her, so she needs to find a rich, hot husband for herself.
You’ve never really said anything about that because you don’t think relying on a man to provide for you is the right decision. You want to get into college and continue to study so you can make your own name, and now that Alex’s known, you will need to work twice as hard to make sure you’re not getting anything just because you’re his sister.
But thinking about Chloe trying to make Connor her husband?
Yeah. It made you feel terrible.
“Yeah, I don’t know about that, Chloe…”
“Wait, what?” Something like anger flashed through her eyes. “You don’t think I have a chance with him? Why?”
“No, it’s not that, it’s just—” God, why were you feeling like this? It’s just Connor. A guy you met two years ago. “Connor’s really closed. We’ve never talked about relationships. I don’t know how to approach him.”
The smile is back on her face. “That’s fine. You just have to tell him hi, this is my best friend, chloe. And I’ll do the rest.”
You had a bad feeling about this. And it probably showed in your face because Chloe was frowning, again.
“Ellie,” she said, slowly. “Do you like him? Is that why you don’t want to introduce us?”
You were the one frowning now. Liking Connor? Seeing him as anything more than a friend? No, what? Crazy. Chloe was nuts. You just didn’t want him to get hurt. That was all.
“What?! No. No, of course not!” You said, feeling hot. “Connor is just a friend. Like you.”
“So?” Chloe said, quietly. “You will introduce us, right?”
“Yes,” you replied, without hesitating this time. “Please, be nice to him.”
“Oh, I am going to be nice,” she smirks. “I don’t know about the things I’m planning on doing with him though.”
She laughed out loud and even though you didn’t find anything funny, you laughed too. Even if your heart felt like it weighed more than the whole moon.
—
FINDING Bedard wasn’t as easy as it sounded.
Even though your brother’s house was big, it felt crowded with people. Alex said it’d only be fifty guys or so, but he forgot that those fifty guys were bulky and big, so it would feel like his house had at least eighty people there.
The music wasn’t extremely loud, it was just a background noise, so everyone could hear each other just fine. And boy, were those hockey men loud.
Every time one of them recognised you, they’d just shout and raise their arms, with either beer or liquor in his hands. It took you and Chloe at least fifteen minutes to get to the kitchen, so Chloe could get a drink for her and you a diet soda. You hated the taste of alcohol.
“God, at this point we’re never finding him,” Chloe mumbled, sipping on her beer and making a disgusted face. “You need to tell your brother to buy some proper beer.”
You chuckled. Despite everything Alex said, he’d probably freak out if you asked for alcohol. “I could always call Bedard. If he’s here, he’ll show up.”
“Yeah, do that. I’ll go to the bathroom real quick, and I’ll be back.”
You nodded, grabbing your phone and searching for Connor’s number. You finger just a centimeter from the screen, your heart beating fast in your chest, and you wanted to punch yourself when you caught yourself thinking I hope he doesn’t answer.
“I’m the world’s worst best friend,” you mumbled to yourself, disappointed with your own stupid brain.
“That skirt looks good on you,” you heard Connor’s voice and you looked down fast, checking to see if you had actually called him. When you found your phone still on the contact list, you furrowed your brows. “Hi, El.”
You turned around just to see Connor standing there, with his awkward smile and blue eyes. His hair was a bit longer than you remembered but it looked even better than before. He looked good.
You smiled, all that tension from before gone in seconds. “Hi, Con. I was literally just about to call you.” You raised your phone, showing it to him.
“Yeah?” He stepped closer, wrapping his arms around you, holding you close. Hugging him was something that felt so precious because he never really did it with many people, and to think you’re one of the lucky ones? Yeah. Precious.
“Yeah,” you replied, hands around his middle, your height difference making the whole thing funnier. You stepped back, looking him in the eye. “I— I need to… hum. Introduce you to someone.”
He raised his brows, just slightly. His face going all-Bedard like again. “It isn’t a boyfriend, is it?”
“No?”
“That sounded more like a question than an affirmation. Are you seeing anyone?”
“What? No,” you laughed, amused with his answers. “No, I’m not. You and Madi would be the first to know if I were, I promise.”
“Then, who is it? Last time you said you had to introduce me to someone, I had to chat for forty minutes with an old lady who thought the Avengers were real.”
“Don’t call Susy old!” You threw your arms up, still laughing. “And that day was funny as fuck. Also, I see myself in her, so if you don’t like her, you probably don’t like me as well.”
“Bullshit. You know I like you.” He said, blue eyes looking everywhere else but your face.
Your heart did that backflip it always does whenever Bedard says something like that. You smiled.
“I like you too,” you whispered. “But I need you to meet someone.”
Just before Connor could ask who that someone was, Chloe re-entered the kitchen, slowing her steps when she noticed that Bedard was there.
“Great, you’re here,” you said, holding one of Chloe’s hands and pushing her closer. “This is who I wanted you to meet. Chloe, this is Connor Bedard. Con, this is my friend Chloe.”
Chloe reached out her hand to greet him. “Hi! I’m a huge fan. Congrats on your win!”
Connor greeted her back, but his gaze was fixed on your face. It was extremely awkward and uncomfortable, all the tension from earlier coming back. Something that you couldn’t really identify flashed through Connor’s eyes and it made you want to scream.
“Hi. Thank you.”
Connor’s dry words didn’t seem to surprise Chloe. “Do you want to drink something? I make the best Black and Tan in the entire world.” She smiles.
Connor looked at you and you bit your lip, your mouth opening to speak before your brain could stop it. “It’s true. She does.”
“Oh, are you drinking now?” He sounded… angry?
“No, of course not,” you scoffed, wishing you had kept your mouth shut. “But people like it a lot.”
“I can’t drink. We have to hit the gym tomorrow morning.”
Blue eyes looked at you again and honestly? You were ready to call it a night and go back to your room, because what the hell. Connor wasn’t usually this complicated.
“Oh,” Chloe sounded disappointed but then. “Then maybe we can grab some drinks together tomorrow evening?”
Damn, she doesn’t give up.
“Sure. But El doesn’t drink.” He replied, leaning against the kitchen counter, his biceps practically ripping the tight shirt. You reminded yourself to stop staring.
And then you proceeded to remember what he’d just said.
“Um. I’m not coming,” you were sure your lipstick was already gone with how much you were biting your lip so you switched to picking on the skin around your nails. “I… I have… well, I’m—”
“She has a date.”
You and Connor both looked at Chloe. Your eyes doubled in size and you had to fight the urge to punch her. What the hell was going on with you that night, you wondered.
“Do you?” Connor asked, and he was definitely angry now. His face wasn’t showing anything but his eyes told the entire story. They had a storm going on inside of them and he had the same look as he did when that one guy made his teeth bleed during one game.
“That sounded more like a question than an affirmation. Are you seeing anyone?”
“What? No,” you laughed, amused with his answers. “No, I’m not. You and Madi would be the first to know if I were, I promise.”
Fuck.
“Well. It’s nothing serious. Just a guy?” It definitely sounded like a question. Lying wasn’t exactly your best trait.
“Yeah, a guy. So, she can’t come. Just you and me,” Chloe continued, grabbing another beer and sipping on it. “Can you pick me up at seven? I’ll text you my address.”
Truthfully, you didn’t know how Chloe had the balls to act like this, especially with someone who hasn’t shown interest in her at all. Maybe this is what being confident means? You thought to yourself, trying to right her wrongs once more.
Connor just nodded and left the kitchen without saying a word.
“That went well, huh?” Chloe said, looking happy with the situation.
You just hummed, not wanting to lie more than you already did that night.
God.

The Jockification of Jeremy, Part 2: Jeremy in Love
(For Part 1 and the earlier stories this is a sequel to, see the earlier posts.)
The next day when I got up, I was already looking forward to wrestling practice. I had to go to school in the same shorts from yesterday, though, because nothing in my closet really seemed to fit me anymore, which was odd. I had kind of forgotten about all of Chase’s messages from the night before. In any case, I wasn’t going to go to a bunch of trouble trying to track him down. It’s not as if I could be seen spending all my time hanging out with a geek. What would the bros say? But Chase found me by my locker before lunch.
He came up to me and said, “What the hell happened to you? I almost didn’t recognize you with that outfit – and that haircut. Why’d you cut it so short? And where have you been? I thought someone had stolen your phone or something. You didn’t answer any of my texts, except for one message that didn’t even sound like you.”
“Chill out, bro, I’m fine. I was just busy. After basketball practice, I went over to Derek’s to watch the game with some of the bros; I told you that. And when I got home, I was so wiped out I almost fell asleep in my clothes.”
“You’re not making any sense, Jeremy. Derek? From the football team? Watching the game? Since when do you hang out with Derek? Or watch games? And since when are you on the basketball team?”
“Since practices started up. I talked to Coach Sanders yesterday. It’s fucking awesome, bro. You should think about joining. I’m sure I could talk to the coach about giving you a tryout.”
“Uh, I don’t think I’m exactly cut out for basketball, and I’m not interested, anyway. And I’m surprised you are. What is wrong with you, Jeremy? I mean, lately you’ve been starting to look like a jock. Now you’re talking like one, too, and hanging out with them, and wearing basketball shorts to school. At least your clothes fit now, but – you look different. Bigger. And taller. What the hell happened to you? Did you turn into a jock overnight? Where were you all day yesterday, anyway?”
“Bro, I already told you. I just went down to talk to the coach, and then I went to practice. Then I did some lifting and went over to Derek’s. Nothing to get your panties in a bunch over.”
“My panties are not in a bunch, you dumbass, and I’m not your bro. Seriously, did they do something to you? That’s it, isn’t it? I didn’t see it before, but somehow they turned you into one of them, didn’t they?
“Dude, do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? Look, I realize I’ve been going through some changes recently, but this is what I want, and I’m sorry you’re not okay with that.”
Just then, Derek happened to pass by. I gave him a fist bump and said, “Hey, Derek, bro, thanks so much for having me over last night. That game was fucking epic, man!” Derek and I talked for a minute. Chase stared at us the whole time. Derek ignored him completely.
As soon as Derek had left, Chase said, “You’re not kidding. You really are hanging out with that blond Cro-Magnon! Now I know something’s wrong.”
“What’s wrong with Derek, bro? He’s a nice guy.”
“To other jocks, maybe, but not to me. You really have turned into one of them, haven’t you? Jeremy, you’ve got to listen to me: this isn’t you. Somehow they did something to you. You’re totally acting like a dumb jock now!”
“Bro, I told you I’m fine.”
“If you’re fine, what’s two plus four?”
“Bro, those are, like, two different numbers,” I chuckled, but Chase didn’t laugh. “Okay, sorry, that was a dumb joke. I do know how to add. But seriously, what’s wrong with you, Chase?”
“What’s wrong with me is that I’m apparently the only one of us that can see that you changed overnight, and it doesn’t make sense.”
“Look, bro, I get that I’ve been changing, but I just wish you could be okay with it. I mean, we’re friends, aren’t we, bro?”
Chase stood there a minute, fuming, and then he said, “Okay, Jeremy, I give up. I still think something happened to you, but I guess there’s nothing I can do about it; at least, I can’t think of anything. I’m sorry, Jeremy, but could you just leave me alone, at least for now, okay? You’re my best friend, and you used to be, well, you used to be so cute, but I can’t stand looking at you and seeing some knuckle-dragging neanderthal. And quit calling me ‘Bro’. It makes you sound like a douche. I’m sorry. Please, just leave me alone.” And then he took off.
I let him go, but it honestly pissed me off that things were going so well for me and he couldn’t be okay with it. I mean, I try to be nice to the little dude, and he throws it back in my face, calling me a neanderthal! I seriously wanted to mop the floor with the little shit. I thought about it the rest of the day in class. I knew I should just let it go; I had plenty of bros to hang out with, and I didn’t need Chase. But I found myself missing him. I hadn’t been able to admit it to myself before, but I think I’d been in love with Chase for a long time. Now that I had finally figured that out, he didn’t want to have anything to do with me, and I didn’t know how to make things right. Suddenly I got an idea: I could talk over my problem with the coach. I was sure he could help. Today I had wrestling, not basketball, but I felt I knew Coach Sanders better than I did the wrestling coach. I should be able to catch him in his office before I had to go to practice.
When I got downstairs by the locker rooms after school, Coach Sanders’s door was open, and he was in his office. I knocked on the door.
“Jeremy!” he said. “Come in, big guy. Boy are you getting tall! But you look like you just lost your best friend. What seems to be the trouble? Girl trouble? Oh, I’m sorry, Jeremy; in your case it’d be boy trouble, wouldn’t it?”
“Yeah, Coach, you nailed it. I guess it is boy trouble. I have lost my best friend, I think. He and I have been friends since, like, grade school. But now he really seems to have a problem with me going out for sports and hanging out with my bros. And I don’t get what his problem is, but I feel bad, because we’ve been friends for so long. I know he’s just a skinny little dude, but I’ve always, you know, liked him, and I thought he, you know, maybe liked me, too. And I thought it would be really cool if he could, you know, join the team, and then we could hang out more together. But when I suggested he try out for basketball, he just about flipped his lid. He called me a dumb jock, and now he won’t even talk to me.”
“Jeremy, one of the things that happens to young men your age is that you’re all going through huge changes, but you don’t all change at the same time or the same pace, even if you’re the same age. Every guy’s body is different, you know. It’s like that for you and Chase right now. You’ve just gone through some rapid changes, and that’s something normal for guys your age. Your friend Chase isn’t changing the same way or at the same time, so he’s having a hard time dealing with you changing so quickly. And, realistically, Jeremy, you two may both change in such different ways that you won’t be able to be friends anymore. That happens a lot to guys your age. But then again, Chase might suddenly start changing in ways that will bring you two closer. You have to understand, Jeremy, that as you’ve changed physically, your interests have changed as well, but your friend Chase is still in the same place he was before. If he starts catching up to you, you may find you two have a lot more in common, even though right now you’re both in different stages of development.”
“That makes so much sense, Coach. Thank you, I really couldn’t figure out what the problem was. It’s as if he’s still twelve years old and wants to do little kid stuff, but I’ve grown, and I’m not interested in little kid stuff anymore.”
“It’s exactly like that, Jeremy. Maybe you two already went through something like this when you were both twelve years old and starting to become teenagers.”
“Yeah, I suppose we kind of did have some struggles back then, but not this serious. Thanks so much for helping me, Coach. I feel a lot better. It’d be so cool, though, if you could talk him into going out for basketball or wrestling or something. I mean, I wasn’t really interested in going out for any sports until after you talked to me. I just wish Chase, could, you know, feel how awesome it is to be a jock and hang out with your bros. I’m sure you could persuade him the same way you did me.”
Coach Sanders got up from his desk then and closed the door. “We should maybe have a little privacy,” he said. “I appreciate your confidence in me, Jeremy. Maybe I could persuade him the way I did you. I can try, but I can tell you from where I sit that peer pressure is a lot more persuasive to guys your age than anything their teachers or coaches tell them. Don’t underrate your friendship, even if Chase seems mad at you right now. If he sees how happy you are, he might come around to your way of thinking. And even if he doesn’t, I might still be able to help you.”
He rummaged in one of his desk drawers, got out a key, and unlocked one of the filing cabinets. He took some object out of one of the bottom drawers and sat back down at his desk, still holding whatever the object was in his hand.
“Jeremy, do you remember me telling you about how our former football coach had developed some amazing conditioning programs for helping young men like you reach their full potential?”
“Yes, Coach, I do. You had me watch one of his videos. It was great. I don’t totally understand what it was all about, but I liked it a lot.”
“Well, Jeremy, that was one the materials that we managed to save when he left. We don’t, unfortunately, still have everything he developed. That video is very effective, and I’m happy to share it with any young man that can benefit from it. What I’m holding in my hand right now is another one of his materials. It works in a different way, but it’s extremely effective. And it’s very special, because we unfortunately have only a very few of these left.”
He put the object he was holding on his desk. It appeared to be some kind of athletic cup, the kind you might wear with a jockstrap. The cup was sealed in a plastic bag with a tear-off top. It was unusual looking for an athletic cup, however. It was quite large, and it appeared to be made of some kind of carbon-fiber or other high-tech material, orange and black and grey.
“This, Jeremy, isn’t an ordinary athletic cup. It’s a conditioning device that can help young men like Chase reach their true potential as athletes. If you want, and if I can trust you to not talk about this with anyone else, I will give it to you. Talk to your friend again. Don’t mention anything about this. It’s possible you won’t need it. But if Chase still doesn’t see the advantages of becoming more like you, this will help him. And if you don’t feel comfortable giving this to him yourself, there are students on the football team that have experience with these devices; just let me know, and I could have one of them help.”
I stared at the cup, wondering exactly what it did and how it worked. The idea of watching Chase develop into a jock enticed me, but I was missing something. “Coach, there’s one thing I don’t understand. Why would Chase need this when I didn’t? Wouldn’t the video help him?”
“It would, Jeremy, but it likely would not be enough to help him to reach your level of development. The video you refer to primarily conditions the mind to develop the routines needed to be an effective athlete. It helped you, for example, learn practice and workout routines that otherwise would have required weeks of drilling. And those mental routines help to condition you physically, which is critical to an athlete. However, physical conditioning can take considerable time, and the athlete has to be highly motivated in order to succeed. Even then, many young men, no matter how motivated they are, are at a genetic disadvantage and are just not capable of the physical development needed. That, Jeremy, is precisely why these devices were developed. They help those who otherwise would be unable to reach the necessary level of physical development. Now you, Jeremy, were a special case. You didn’t need a device like this. You got your physical conditioning from another source, from another young man who had already been conditioned thanks to one of these devices, and who was then able to pass that conditioning on to you. And because you had already been conditioned physically, you were primed, so to speak; you were willing and able to undergo the mental conditioning that allowed you to start becoming the athlete you wanted to become. Do you understand now?”
“Well, Coach, sort of, but the whole thing is a bit over my head. You’re saying that because I made out with…” I stopped, embarrassed.
“You don’t need to say anything more about that, Jeremy. I’m not trying to pry into your private life. But yes, having the kind of relationship you did started to condition you physically. And once we noticed that that process was happening to you, there was nothing left to do but complete the physical process by helping you to condition mentally. Otherwise, you would have been a very unhappy and confused young man. You’re perfectly happy now, aren’t you, big guy?”
“Perfectly, Coach. Happier than I’ve ever been. I know I’m, like, different than I was before, I suppose, but I would never want to go back. Honestly, it’s hard for me to remember now that I wasn’t always a jock. But what about Chase? I want him to be happy. This thing won’t hurt him, will it? He’s my friend, after all, and I wouldn’t want him hurt.”
“No, Jeremy. No one wants to hurt Chase or anyone else. Remember that these devices were developed to help young men reach their potential. But I want to be completely honest with you: it will cause him some physical discomfort. How much depends on the person. So, Jeremy, technically it can hurt him, but think of it like weight training. You’re still sore from yesterday’s workout, aren’t you? It hurt you, right? And yet you know that the pain is necessary for your muscles to grow, and that it will soon go away, and you’ll be stronger for it. If you really care for your friend, Jeremy, then you want what’s best for him, don’t you? I’ve seen Chase, Jeremy, and he’s a very slight young man. As he is now, he might have some potential as, say, a lightweight wrestler, but without the physical conditioning that this device can provide, he would be extremely limited in what he could accomplish as an athlete. But if you like him and he likes you, just imagine what it would be like to be a couple like James and Steve, both of you strong and powerful. Wouldn’t that be worth some trouble, Jeremy?”
“Yes, it would, Coach. I think I understand now. How long would he have to wear it?”
“It varies from person to person. Usually about a week or two, but sometimes longer. But you don’t need to worry about that. All you have to worry about is giving this to him. And remember, Derek or another one of the experience students can give it to him if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself.”
“I appreciate your wanting to help me, Coach, but I think that if I really want what’s best for Chase, I’m the one who has to do this. I can’t pass that responsibility on to someone else.”
“Then I respect your decision, son. Here, take it, and keep it safe. And remember, don’t mention anything about this to anyone. When you’re ready, you open the package and quickly place it over his privates. It doesn’t matter what he’s wearing at the time.”
“Oh, one other question, Coach. It won’t make him dumb or anything, will it? I mean, Chase called me a dumb jock, but I don’t think I’m any dumber than I was before.”
“Jeremy, ‘dumb jock’ is a stereotype. Most jocks are just a smart as anyone else. Some are smarter. Some aren’t. Many young men who’ve gone through this conditioning process have had some struggle with grades, but that isn’t necessarily because they lost intelligence. It’s because their interests and focus changed, and they ended up less motivated by academics. That’s why I warned you not to neglect your studies. I don’t think you need to worry about Chase. He may end up more interested in sports than English class, but that doesn’t make you an idiot. Any more questions?”
“No, Coach.”
“Then you’d better get to wrestling practice before I have to explain to Coach Halvorson why you’re late.”
The coach had given me a ton to think about, but I had no time to think right away. I had wrestling practice, and that took all the concentration I had. Both James and his bro Tyler went out for wrestling, but I didn’t spar with either one of them. They’re both heavyweights. I may be taller than both of them, but I don’t have anywhere near their muscle mass or weight. They’re both scary in a singlet, with their huge muscles, thick necks, and massive packages. Tyler’s the bigger man, but I think James has the bigger tool, not that Tyler’s isn’t obscene enough. But I didn’t realize how big I had gotten down there until I saw myself in my singlet again. I’d almost be too embarrassed to walk out into the gym like that, except that I’m not the only guy who’s showing. My balls must be nearly the size of chicken eggs by now. I wondered what Chase would think seeing me in this outfit.
Chase. It wasn’t until after practice, hitting the weight room, dinner, and a long night of catching up on homework that I allowed my thoughts to drift back to Chase. I missed him, and I couldn’t believe he was happy. I sent him a text, just saying “Miss u”. He didn’t answer, but at least he hadn’t blocked my number.
I knew I needed to talk to him again, but he was avoiding me. I wouldn’t let that stop me, but it was hard to find a moment to catch him without a bunch of other bros around, you know? And I had other worries. Clothes were getting to be a problem. My parents seemed to think I was just going through a phase of wearing workout clothes; somehow it hadn’t gotten through to them how much I had grown or that nothing in my closet fit me anymore. I was borrowing stuff from the other bros. I had maybe one or two pairs of shorts that fit, and some sweatpants that barely fit. I mean, I was almost 6’ 2” at this point, which means I had gained something like 6 inches in a few weeks. I was starting to pack on a lot of muscle, too. I finally had to tell them outright that I really needed some new clothes. My older brother was away at college, and I did find a couple of things in his closet that worked up to a point, but we weren’t really the same size. I stuck to basics for the new stuff, mainly loose shorts, athletic pants, and T-shirts. I still had a lot of growing to do, and I didn’t want to get things I was just going to grow out of in a hurry. I knew at this point that I looked, dressed, and acted like a total jock, but I was a total jock, and everyone except Chase seemed to forget that I’d ever been anything else.
To be continued

steddie established relationship argument (mild on the actual arguing) under the cut. ~1700 words. cw discussion of having kids. no teaser because it starts out kind of E rated lol
also on ao3
“Pretty baby,” Eddie said, nose in the back of Steve’s hair, dragging against his scalp. “You’re so sweet, you were so sweet with Emily earlier.”
They’d been playing with Nancy and Jonathan’s 3-month old for the first time.
“Oh yeah?” Steve said, grinding the swell of his ass back against Eddie.
“Yes,” Eddie rumbled, lips against a shivery part of Steve’s neck.
After nearly a year of dating, Steve was used to this flavor of praise from Eddie, but it still worked to calm something deep inside him. And it was exactly because he did feel calm that he said, “So do you finally wanna talk about it?”
Eddie made an inquisitive sound into Steve’s skin.
“Eddie. You know,” Steve said gently, holding himself still. He thought if he played his cards right he might be able to get Eddie to mess around a little, ask him if he wanted to get a baby put in him, that sort of thing.
But when Eddie just kept frowning into Steve’s neck Steve went on—“Kids?”
“Uh huh. What about them?”
“Come on,” Steve said, squirming and then flipping over when Eddie let up. “You know I want kids, right?” He said it softly, because of course Eddie did know.
Except Eddie froze, just a little, and the whole thing began to feel decidedly unsexy. “Uh,” he said, a notch too loud for the situation.
“Okay, not right,” Steve said, mostly to himself. He’d thought, for sure, that he’d been making no secret of it.
“I mean,” Eddie said, trying to recover. “I totally, yeah, I guess, I know you—like kids and everything.” He chewed his lip like he knew it was lame. Steve rarely saw him so wrong-footed.
“Well, yeah,” Steve said. “I do, but—like last weekend, remember when that dad was arguing with his kids about milkshakes? And I said I wouldn’t make a big deal out of a milkshake with my kids—what’s the point?”
Eddie sputtered. “Okay, that was a hypothetical! I thought! I just thought—and you never said—” Eddie shook his head. “Oh. Six little nuggets.”
“Yes, as you’re so fond of reminding me.” Steve rolled his eyes to show he was joking.
“But, Steve,” Eddie said, sitting up.
Slowly, not wanting to do it, Steve followed.
“I mean—what does this mean? You would want to, what? Marry a woman?” At least Eddie seemed baffled by it.
“Don’t be ridiculous. I mean I want to do it with you, obviously. Dumbass,” Steve added for good measure.
“With me,” Eddie said, not able to hide the way his eyes went wide.
“No, with Jonathan,” Steve said, annoyed. “Obviously you, man, who else am I in a serious relationship with?”
“Okay, Jesus, give me two minutes to catch up here!”
Guilt made Steve want to let him off the hook but he didn’t think he should have to, really. Steve frowned at his lap, feeling miserable and stuck. He had the unpleasant sense that this wasn’t going anywhere good.
“Is it really so bad?” Steve asked.
“I don’t know!” Eddie said. He stood up, paced restlessly to the opposite side of the room and back. He was wearing only a pair of boxers and he reminded Steve of a caged animal before he even started throwing on his clothes.
Steve sat quietly in bed as he dressed only partly because he knew it was the thing he could do that would annoy Eddie the most. And Eddie was the one who was leaving, he deserved it. He also did it because he really didn’t know what else to do. Begging Eddie to stay wouldn’t do any good. They both needed space sometimes.
“I don’t even—it’s not that easy,” Eddie said, picking up his wallet and then putting it down again to punctuate it. “It wouldn’t be that easy for us.”
“I get that,” Steve said carefully. “But I thought… it doesn’t have to be a baby. Maybe an older kid.”
“Steve,” Eddie said, looking almost choked up. “Can we—talk about this later?” His voice had turned brusque. “I just need to—clear my head.”
“Yeah, course,” Steve said, feeling stupid and vulnerable still in the t-shirt he slept in while Eddie was dressed. The fight had gone out of him. Eddie just needed to deal with the revelation in his own way. He’d come back. Steve owed it to him to be patient after, apparently, springing this on him.
Eddie paused at the door. “I do love you.”
“I know. You too.”
And then the door was shutting behind him. Steve’s fingers itched to call Robin but for the first time it felt so personal that he decided against it. It was personal for Eddie, too. It belonged to both of them, and, for right now at least, no one else.
Now, if Eddie wasn’t back by the morning, all bets were off.
Steve gave up on sleeping after a frustrating 45 minutes and resigned himself to sitting up at least until exhaustion won out with worry. And right now, worry was putting up a good fight.
Steve put the water on for tea. He wasn’t stupid—he knew that Eddie might not come back. Or, well, he’d surely come back to the apartment either way but he might not ever really come back to Steve after this.
They were serious about each other. A consequence of the years of charged friendship before they’d so much as kissed, maybe, or just a consequence of how well they usually worked together. They talked about spending the rest of their lives together. Something like whether or not they each wanted kids was a big deal—the kind of thing that changed things. Steve had given Eddie an ultimatum. Part of him wanted to backtrack, call Eddie up and say just kidding, I can be flexible about this. But he couldn’t, and besides, he didn’t know where to call (except for how, realistically, he knew Eddie was at his uncle’s or Jeff’s place.)
In the morning, Steve called Robin.
“Oh, babe,” Robin said when Steve explained it, her voice crackling just a little down the line from New York where she was always up early. “Did you sleep at all?”
“About four hours,” Steve admitted. He’d been too wound up for any more and he was sure as hell feeling it now, exhausted and eyes aching. He hadn’t cried, and he spared a thought for the fact that maybe he was kidding himself by not really examining the worst case scenario. “Do you think—I mean, obviously this isn’t a good sign. That he left. But do you think there’s a chance or am I delusional?”
Robin snorted. “There’s more than a chance. He loves you, obviously. But—yeah, he might decide he wants to end things. We know that’s an option.” She said it gently enough that now Steve did feel a little hot behind the eyes.
Today was a Sunday. Their only plans were hanging out with Jonathan and Nancy and Emily more while they were in town. If Steve had to go see them alone—
“I wish there was something I could do,” Steve said miserably. And then the front door opened and there was Eddie, close across the small apartment, looking a little out of breath in the yellow morning light that was pouring in through the window, too cheerful for Steve’s heavy heart. “Oh, shit, Rob, I have to go.”
“Is it—”
“Yeah. Love you.”
“I love you, call me, that’s a threat—”
Steve hung up the phone.
“Uh,” Eddie said. “Robin?”
“Yeah.”
“Hi, Robin,” Eddie said dutifully toward the hung-up phone.
“I’ll tell her,” Steve said, so giddy with relief that Eddie was back that the nothing joke made him want to laugh. “Hi.”
Eddie looked at him. “Hi.”
Steve took a breath. “I’m sorry. For bringing it up during sex, and all. That was stupid.” He’d been feeling guilty some more and that, at least, was a legitimate reason for it.
But Eddie just shrugged. “No, it’s…” He searched for the word. “You thought I knew.” He wore his hair short these days, and it looked like he’d been running his fingers through it.
“Yeah. Eddie, listen—”
“No, just—give me a second,” Eddie said. And then he was going down on one knee, pulling something out of his pocket and holding it out to Steve. It was a simple gold band. It looked well-worn, but it shone in the light.
He cleared his throat. “Steve, I—“ his voice broke. “I’m sorry I don’t have a ring box. I went to the pawn shop as soon as it opened and I didn’t want to wait for another place to—I love you. I got scared when you started talking about kids, because it seems so big. And I just didn’t realize you felt that way, even though, okay, I guess I should’ve. But the more I thought about it the more what really scared me was losing you. I love the idea of you as a dad. You’d make any kid so lucky to have you. I can’t believe you want to do it with me, but if you really do—I’m open to it. So—will you?”
“We can’t even get married, though,” Steve reminded him, perilously close to tears again.
“Psh,” Eddie said. “Fuck the government, I’ll marry you anyway.”
“Eddie, get up,” Steve said, and then the tears were coming. He swiped at his eyes while Eddie stood hesitantly. “Save it, okay? Save the ring. I don’t want it to be like this—to end a fight. I want it to be its own thing. And it’s too soon anyway. It hasn’t even been a year. But—” Steve grabbed Eddie’s hand before he could put the ring back in his pocket. “Yes. Of course I want to marry you.”
Eddie touched his knuckles to Steve’s cheek, pushed aside a tear. “Getting some mixed signals,” he said, looking between Steve’s eyes with his own so full of love it hurt to see. “I’m sorry. And for worrying you.”
Steve sniffed. “I was worried but—I knew you’d come back. I know you.”
“I know you do,” Eddie said. He was still holding the ring. “Do you want to at least try it on? You could wear it on a chain or something—”
Steve put the ring on, and he didn’t take it off until the day in Joyce’s backyard when Eddie held it safe in his pocket until it was time for him to put it back on Steve in front of everyone they loved in the world.

One of my least favourite things about the heroes of Olympus series, is just how DIRTY Rick did Percy.
Like in the og series, Percy was an actual good character who was actually portrayed as someone strong with character development.
In the heroes of Olympus, he just made Percy downright dumb. Like, Percy was my favourite character for a while but then I read heroes of Olympus and he annoyed me SO much.
Like… where’s the Percy who tricked Briaes, the hundred handed one, into a game of rock, paper, scissors, and WON?? Where’s my guy who fought Ares at TWELVE??? Where’s my dude who gained ARTEMIS’ TRUST??? PULLED 5 PEOPLE IN A SINGLE BOOK??? WHERE ARE YOU???
Rick honestly made Percy so… annoying? Boring? Weak?
Like EVERYONE ELSE, including Annabeth, had SUCH good Chapters (yes, including Jason bc I love him), but PERCY WAS LITERALLY JUST SO DUMB.
I’m not kidding when I say I downright LOATHED him.
Rick even changed his FATAL FLAW???
What happened to personal loyalty??? When did it become not being able to step away?? When Kym told him that he would finally have to face his fatal flaw, there was only like a sentence where Frank stopped him to not join Jason, Piper and Leo???
LIKE THE REASON I AGREED WITH NICO SO MUCH IS BECAUSE HOW DISAPPOINTING PERCY WAS?? When he saw Percy as a regular guy and not some cool hero, I FULLY AGREED.
WHAT WAS THAT RICK???
He downgraded Percy so much just to make the newer characters have bigger parts, which I get, but absolutely hated.
I was so excited to see Percy in a new series and only got disappointed. His chapters? Mainly used for comic relief. His fights? After Mark of Athena his only good one was with Akhlys, which he never actually got to win (still mad at Rick for making Annabeth stop him 🙄) and all the others he either got pretty injured and the others did some AWESOME stuff while he literally just sat there??
Like no wonder Piper wasn’t impressed. I WOULDN’T BE EITHER???
EVERYONE treated him like he was a dumbass, which I would normally argue with if you told me he was dumb in his series, but in HOO?? I’d be wrong if I did.
He has honestly just no point in being there?? Like Annabeth spent MONTHS searching for him, and I feel like she just doesn’t really care about him that much anymore and has probably become more used to being alone than being with him. She had more dynamic with Piper and Reyna than she had with Percy.
They had like… the judo flip?? That’s it. They also had like a kiss in Athens underground?? Piper made it sound awkward for her so it made me feel awkward.
Annabeth got along super well with Leo, Jason and Piper, so why didn’t Percy talk that much with Hazel and Frank?? They literally all went on a quest together and they spent more time with Leo.
Everyone on the Argo was all friendly and connected. Ex: Piper with LITERALLY EVERYONE EXCEPT PERCY. Annabeth with LITERALLY EVERYONE with the OCCASIONAL PERCY.
He was basically only connected with Annabeth, who kinda grew used to not needing him, while Percy still absolutely loved her. Heck, Annabeth was scared AND angry at Percy after Tartarus.
Once again, Annabeth had honestly a whole bunch of character development while Percy was SOLELY used for comedy.
That fight with Kymopoleia? WHY WAS HE SO DUMB?? Like in the Percy Jackson series, HE WOULD NOT HAVE JUMPED IN HEAD FIRST. It also made me mad that JASON was the one who ending up bringing them to victory when they were UNDERWATER? LIKE WHERE WAS COOL, DARK PERCY?? I know Percy said he was afraid of controlling the poison since Tartarus but still??
His chapters? Bleh. His fight scenes? Even more bleh. His character connections? I’ve had more dynamic with my morning toast.
I have SO much more to say, but I’ve literally written an essay so I’ll end this here.
#percy jackson#percy pjo#pjo#heroes of olympus#annabeth chase#grover underwood#nico di angelo#percabeth#nico pjo#the lighting thief#tlt#thalia grace#jason grace#pjo jason#hazel levesque#frank zhang#piper mclean#Percy was 🤮🤮🤮

i request Jekyll and Hyde with a reader who wants to dance with them? And loves dancing with them? Loves dancing in general maybe. I just love the idea of moonlight dancing. Maybe ballroom dancing so it’s cute and romantic

╰┈➤ MASTERLIST. NAVIGATION.
╰┈➤ CARMILLAS NOTES: how did u know my jekyll and hyde era is haunting me (it never went away)
╰┈➤ WARNINGS: none!
𝑯𝑬𝑵𝑹𝒀 𝑱𝑬𝑲𝒀𝑳𝑳
he kinda just stares at you when you ask him to dance
it’s not that he doesn’t want to of course
it’s just that hes terribly awkward and stiff
with some convincing he agrees
he moves extremely well and doesn’t trip at all with some more practice he could be a professional dancer (not that he’d want to but)
some music, probably tchaikovsky playing in the background
he’s actually very gentle compared to hyde, his grip on you isn’t even a grip
he’s actually barely really even touching you
like you can feel his hands but not very well because after his dumbass gave himself an alter ego he’s kinda afraid he’ll just come out at random times, even if it’s agreed to be night
he’d hum to the music and his voice is surprisingly calming
you could fall asleep right there except you probably shouldn’t because you’ll collapse (he’ll catch you, but it’s still a bad idea)
i feel he’d actually really love a s/o who likes dancing
he seems like the type of guy to have a big love for the arts and would love for his s/o to as well
so he’ll learn what specific type of dancing you like, listen to you talk, buy music for you to dance to, buy you books about dancing, he is rich after all he could get you anything
if he finds out there’s a ballet or some type of dance in town he immediately lets you know and you go together
he slowly starts to really love dancing and will do it with you more often
it’s kind of a slow process but y’all get there eventually
over time he’s less stiff and awkward, his muscles relax and he’s actually pretty good
although he might get embarrassed if you point something out about him that he’s doing wrong (he laughs though, and fixes whatever it is)
sometimes he just holds out his hand to you in an empty room, wherever you are and just dance with you as long as nobody is watching
he loves you, he really does, but he’d be so embarrassed to be seen dancing
however if you like dancing in front of people he won’t stop you, he just wants you to know that he won’t dance with you
he’s not even that jealous when you dance with someone else
he knows it’s something you love and you would never do that to him
he really loves your love of dancing
𝑬𝑫𝑾𝑨𝑹𝑫 𝑯𝒀𝑫𝑬
if you thought jekyll was hard to get to dance hyde is even worse
audibly groans when you ask him. and he doesn’t try to hide it
it’s not that he hates you (although he’d act like it) he just really hates dancing
although after days of begging and bribing it’ll get to the point where he says yes just to shut you up
compared to jekyll, his touch is almost. almost painful
it’s not that he’s trying to hurt you, atleast not yet, he’s just naturally a very aggressive and rough person
hes surprisingly really swift and oddly good for someone who’s never really danced before, since he’s not even really his own person
he holds you very tight to him, not really on purpose although he definitely knows what he’s doing
full on glares into your eyes as you dance to show you how much he does not want to dance
instead of you pointing out what he’s doing wrong, he points out what you’re doing wrong. it’s kind of humbling
“my dear, your hand isn’t on my shoulder. if you want to dance, atleast give me a reason.”
yeah he’s a little. mean with it
and he knows it he just doesn’t really care although he does try to not sound mean for your own sake
it’s really shocking how well at dancing he actually is, and it leaves you wondering where he learned
but knowing him and the strange ass things he does at night, he probably learned in a really weird way
but good golly gosh is he good at it
if you ask him to dance again another time, it really depends on his mood
if he’s in a good mood he’ll roll his eyes and say fine and dance with you for a bit or until your legs start to hurt
if he’s even partially upset he’ll immediately say no and suggest something else. probably something violent
he’ll listen to you talk about dancing for the most part but if he’s bored chances are he’ll tune you out or just straight up say he’s bored
he’ll also let you show him the music you’d typically dance to and he doesn’t really mind that part because while jekyll likes art forms like painting and dancing more, he likes music and writing
he really doesn’t mind your love of dancing and will listen to you talk about it or if he sees something off he’ll point it out (because he’s very good at dancing, for some reason) but it’s just not really his favourite type of art

omgg i loveee your patrick zweig x reader fics, could please write a bit more about patrick zweig x pregnant reader or patrick with his newborn baby (i have a soft spot for that lol)
So when Y/N first found out she was pregnant she was scared and nervous. Patrick was still a pro tennis player and they barely talked about kids. So when Y/N saw that the pregnancy test was positive she didn’t know how to react. Patrick was practicing so it would be awhile before he got back. A few hours later he returned to find Y/N sitting at the kitchen table with something in her hand. “Hey baby.” He greeted. She gave him a soft smile, “Hey.” Her body was tense and she had every emotion. “Can you come sit?” She asked him. He looked confused but sat across from her as she stared at whatever was in her hand. “What’s wrong?” He asked. She sighed and sat the pregnancy test on the table for him to see. She slid it over to him. He picked it up and gasped. “You’re Pregnant?” He asked and she nodded. He stood up and ran over to her and picked her up. “This is amazing!” He said and twirled her around. She laughed and he set her down. They were almost face to face but the height difference made that impossible. “You’re having my baby!” He said with a smile. “I know it’s amazing.” She said, happy that he reacted that way.
Patrick was pretty overprotective over her as the days went on. He didn’t want Y/N to lift a finger. So anytime he was there she wouldn’t. Even if she had to shower he’d offer to help. “Patrick you just wanna see me naked.” “Well duh but I want to make sure you don’t hurt yourself.” He said. When the raging hormones hit he took it all. From Y/N yelling at him to crying and obviously to wanted to jump his bones. That was his favorite obviously. He loved having sex and the fact Y/N wanted it more than him? That was awesome. “This is the most we’ve had sex.” He breathed out as he collapsed next to her. “Are you complaining?” She asked, he shook his head. “Hell no.” Even the crazy cravings that she got. “I’m sorry you want Pickles and popcorn but together? So the pickle juice with popcorn?” She nodded. He looked at her weird but got it for her anyways. He loved her so much and the little baby growing inside of her.
When the time came Patrick freaked out as Y/N yelled in pain. He called Art to figure it out and help since he had a kid of his own. “Take her to the hospital you dumbass!” He yelled at the man. So he grabbed what was needed and took Y/N to the hospital. The car ride was awful. She kept screaming at him to drive faster. “Babe I’m going as fast as I can.” When the arrived Y/N was took to a room immediately and Patrick watched as his wife screamed as the contractions hit. He took a hold of her hand as she got ready to push. “You got this baby!” He said as she pushed. “You did this to me you asshole! You put this baby in me! We are never having sex again!” She yelled at him. He hoped that wasn’t true. Once the baby was out the crying could be heard. “It’s a girl.” The doctor said. They looked at each other and smiled. “A little tennis star.” Patrick said. The doctor handed the baby to Y/N and she awed. She was so tiny in her arms and looked so cute. Patrick stared at the scene in front of him never wanting to forget it. “Do you want to hold her?” Y/N asked him. He nodded as the tears started forming. He took the baby out of his wife’s arms and cooed at the little baby. “You look just like your mom.” He said and Y/N scoffed. “Patrick she doesn’t look like either of us yet. Well maybe your big nose.” “Hey you like my big nose especially when you sit on it.” He said and Y/N hit him. “No talk like that in front of the baby. “ She growled. He apologized but smirked at her. “Babe we have a little us in my arms.” He said and she smiled. “Yeah we do.”
Patrick wouldn’t shut up about his newborn. Art was happy that Patrick had a baby now but the man really couldn’t stop talking about her. “Art she’s so cute and has my nose!” “I know you’ve told me 8 times already!” Safe to say that Patrick loves her a lot.

Montana part 2
Master List
Characters: Beau Arlen x Reader, Jenny Hoyt x Reader (cousins)
Warnings: mention of Domestic Violence, drinking, threats, assault, slow burn🔥
Minors DNI 18+
A/N: New series I’m working on. Doesn’t follow Big Sky story but has some characters.
This is a work of fiction. All work is my own, don’t take it.
I edited it quickly and typed with one hand due to surgery recovery. Please over look any errors. Thanks. 😊
🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀
The next morning you woke up early to the sound of Jenny in the kitchen. “Hey Y/N, did I wake you up? I’m sorry.” She smiled. “I’m not used to having anyone here. I’ll try to keep it down from now on. What time did Beau leave last night?” She asked. “Oh um he left about 1 in the morning.” You shifted uneasy. You wanted to tell her about the kiss but you didn’t know how she’d react. She noticed but didn’t say anything.
“Oh okay. Well I have to go in today. You’re welcome to come by if you want later or just relax here. Either is completely fine. Just let me know if you’re coming and I’ll make sure I’m at the station.” Jenny said as she grabbed her keys.
“Okay. Yeah I’ll probably just hang out here and look for a job. I’ll let you know if I’m heading out.” You said as you grabbed a coffee cup. She hugged you goodbye and left.
You stood in the kitchen drinking your coffee when your phone rang. You looked at the caller ID and it was David. You ignored it. He left a voicemail: “Why aren’t you answering my calls. I know you’re not really going through with this divorce. You’re just throwing a tantrum. Come home now and the punishment won’t be as bad.”
Your breath caught in your throat. You knew he didn’t know where Jenny lived but you were still afraid of him. You were afraid he’d find a way to figure it out. If you were being honest, you were afraid of him. When he got really angry the beatings lasted hours. He had almost killed you a few times.
The phone rang again and it was David, again. He left another voicemail: “Look I know you’re with Jenny you stupid bitch. When I find you I’ll take care of both of you. Don’t forget who you belong to Y/N. Just look at your thigh if you need reminding. You’re MINE!” He growled.
Tears pricked your eyes. A few years ago he thought a man at the grocery store was flirting with you. He punched the guy out and when he got you home he carved his name in your thigh. It got infected and when you went to the doctor he made you tell them you did it to yourself.
Tears were streaming down your face and when your phone rang a third time you jumped. It was Jenny. You tried to steady your voice and answered it. “Hello” you said shakily. “Hey, Y/N what’s wrong?! What happened?!” Her voice filled with concern. Beau was at his desk and heard Jenny. He stepped out and walked towards her.
“Okay just come to the station. We’ll figure it out. I promise you’re safe.” Jenny said. Beau approached her “is everything okay Hoyt?” He asked with concern. “No, Y/N’s ex is threatening her and his dumbass left voicemails with the threats.” She said. Beau’s eyes were wide. “Did he hit her, Jenny?” He asked. Jenny shook her head. “She’s ashamed of it. Apparently the bastard broke her nose and ribs before. I didn’t know he was abusive. I have to protect her Beau.” Jenny’s eyes filled with tears. Beau hugged her and assured “we’re going to keep her safe, I promise.”
A few minutes later you walked in. Jenny and Beau led you to his office and shut the door. You looked at Jenny with worry on your face. “It’s okay. He needs to know so he can help keep you safe.” She assured you. You swallowed hard and started at the beginning. How after you two got married it was little comments here and there about your weight, your clothes, if you did something wrong. Then one night he came home drunk from a work party and he smelled of perfume and had lipstick on his neck. He blamed you for his cheating and him losing his temper and hitting you.
You told them the beatings got worse. Beau and Jenny stood there in silence and you detailed story after story of his abuse. You sobbed as you were talking. Beau sat beside you and put his hand on yours. Jenny noticed and moved closer. He quickly pulled his hand back. When you played the voicemails Jenny and Beau’s eyes went wide at the mention of your thigh. After you played the voicemails silence filled the room.
Beau cleared his throat, he was fighting back tears. Jenny walked over and sat down beside you. “Honey, what is on your thigh?” She questioned softly. You looked at her and then Beau. You hung your head down. “He carved his name on my thigh. To mark me as his.” You whispered.
“Holy shit, Y/N. Did you contact the local police department when the abuse happened?” Beau questioned. “I did but it was no use. He had friends in the department and most of it I couldn’t prove.” You hung your head.
“Hoyt go get the forms for her to fill out. We’re going to get a restraining order and document the threats. You put the address of the station down as your mailing address. I’ll keep you safe Y/N. I promise” Beau said as he placed his hand on yours.
Jenny looked at Beau and at you. She saw the spark and was worried. She walked out to grab the forms leaving you and Beau alone.
You looked up at Beau and he smiled. “Thank you Beau. I appreciate you being so kind. I’m sorry I brought this drama to your town and now to you.” He lifted your chin and placed his hand on your cheek “Hey, this is not your fault. I will do whatever I can to keep you safe. I promise you that. He’s not going to hurt you again.”
You both leaned forward and your lips met in a soft kiss. Your heart beat wildly and your lips were on fire. Jenny walked back in with the forms and stopped in her tracks. The two of you pulled apart quickly.
She shot Beau a look and handed you the forms. “Y/N, can you take your phone to Pop so he can make a copy of the voicemails for evidence.” Jenny asked. “Um, yeah I can do that.” You stood and offered a soft smile to Beau who returned it.
Once out of the room Jenny turned towards Beau. “What the hell Beau! I told you to stay away from her and I catch you kissing her?!?” “Hey look I didn’t set out to kiss her it happened. I like her and we both wanted the kiss. Come on Jenny, you know I’d never hurt her. You know me better than that.” He defended himself.
“I think you should back off. She’s not in a good place and I don’t want you taking advantage of that or her” Jenny fired back.
“Damn Hoyt, you really don’t know me then. I’d never take advantage of anyone.” Beau said. “I want you to back off Arlen!” She raised her voice.
Pop heard them almost yelling and so did you. He told you he’d be back. He knocked on the door and they both yelled “What?!?” Pop poked his head in the door and said “Just wanted to let you two know you’re being loud and she can hear you.”
Jenny and Beau sighed loudly. “Fine, but Beau leave her be!” Jenny said as she walked out. Beau let out a frustrated sigh and ran his hand through his hair. Pop looked at him “Sorry Sheriff”. Beau nodded and Pop left closing the door.
You finished the forms and got up. You didn’t see Jenny but you saw Beau in his office. You knocked on the door and you heard him say come in from the other side. When he looked up and saw you he smiled. “Beau, I’m sorry I caused problems with you and Jenny. It wasn’t my intention” you said.
Beau stood up and came around the desk taking your hands. “Hey, it’s not your fault. I knew Jenny didn’t want me to pursue you but I can’t help it. That kiss last night and today was amazing. I know you have a lot going on and I’m willing to wait for you if that’s what you want.” He smiled. You threw your arms around him and hugged him. “Oh Beau, thank you! The kisses were amazing and I want to see where this might go, but I don’t want to drag you into this mess.” You told him.
“I’m in this mess, I’ll do whatever I can to keep you safe. I mean it. Maybe we can grab some food sometime. If you want I can cook for you at my place. We can just be friends right now if that’s what you are more comfortable with.”
“Yes! I’d love to let you cook for me. Maybe your place is a better idea for now. At least until Jenny gets more comfortable with the idea of us. When would you want to meet and what should I bring?” You questioned.
“How about tonight and you can bring dessert if you want.” He smiled. “Great! It’s a date, well if you want to call it that. I love Jenny, but I’m an adult. I can make decisions about who I see. If you’re interested in a relationship with me I’d be willing to give it a try.” You smiled a little uneasy. If you were being honest you were worried about his response.
“Yes! I’m willing to try. I’ll see you at my house tonight at 7. Here’s my number and address.” He wrote it down. As he handed it to you his fingers brushed against your hand and you shivered.
You placed a soft kiss on his lips “I’ll see you at 7, Beau.” You walked out of his office and over to Jenny. “Hey. Can we talk?” “Yeah sure, let’s go outside.” You touched her arm “Look Jenny, I know you’re only looking out for me but I’m a big girl and can take care of myself. Beau seems sweet. I’m not planning on jumping in bed with him, but I would like to see if we lead to something. We kissed last night. It wasn’t planned it just happened. I don’t want to cause problems between you two, but I have a right to be happy.” “Y/N you’re right. You deserve to be happy but I just don’t think you should be jumping into a relationship with anyone this soon. You just left your husband for fucks sake. I agree Beau is sweet, but he has a ton of baggage too. I don’t want to see either of you hurt. You can kiss whoever you want, but I just think you and Beau should cool it.”
You knew this was a losing battle and you didn’t want to cause tension between you two. You love Jenny and you need a place to stay so you decide to just keep the thing between you and Beau away from prying eyes. “I hear you Jenny. Thank you for looking out for me. I’m going to go explore today and see if I can find a job. I won’t be home for dinner. Love you Jenny Bean.” “Okay, be careful. Love you too Y/N/N.”
Jenny went back inside and you sent Beau a text.
You: Hey. Jenny is adamant about us not seeing each other. I tried to convince her but it was no use. If you don’t want to continue this I understand. I’d like to, but for now we need to play it smart.
Beau: I understand and I’d like to see where this goes if you’re willing to.
You: I am very interested. I’ll see you at your place tonight at 7.
Beau: Great! See you then, and Y/N I can’t wait to kiss you again.
You blushed and smiled climbing in your car. You drove into town and stopped at the coffee shop Jenny took you to. You went in and ordered a latte to go. The poor woman behind the counter looked frazzled. “Hey, you okay?” You questioned. “Um, oh yeah. My worker called out and we’re already short staffed so I’m here by myself with the cook. I’m working on taking orders, making coffee and being the hostess and waitress while he cooks. Sorry honey. I’m just a bit overwhelmed. I’ll have your coffee in a minute.” She hurried past you.
You walked over to her as she was cleaning a table. “Do y’all need any help? Like are y’all hiring?” “Yes we are. We’re in need of someone who can do it all. That’s hard to find though. Especially in a small town like this.” “Well for what it’s worth I was a waitress through college and I worked at a coffee shop. I’m actually looking for a job.” You told her.
“Really? When could you start? I could use help and we could do a trial basis if you’re okay with that. If we both think it’s a good fit the job is yours. By the way, I’m the owner Suzan.” she told you. “I could start right now, I’m Y/N, nice to meet you Ms Suzan” you said grabbing an apron. “Oh honey you’re an angel. Take this to that table while I grab the food for the other table.” She said handing you a tray.
You walked over and greeted the couple at the table handing them their order. “Holler if you need anything” you walked away. As the day wore on you started to feel more comfortable with the system, the menu and the customers. It was like riding a bike.
By the time the last customer was served you were exhausted and excited. “Well honey, looks like you survived. I hope you liked working here cause I’d like to offer you a job if you’ll take it.” “Oh yes! I’d love to work here. I can be back tomorrow morning early” you told her. “Great. See you at 5:30. We start early I hope that’s okay. Oh and here are your tips from the day.” She handed you a wad of cash. “Oh no, I couldn’t. I just wanted to help out today.”
“Nonsense, you worked today these are your tips and you’re going to be paid for today too.” She pushed the money in your pocket. “Well thank you. See you tomorrow.” You walked to your car.
Once inside you sent Beau a text.
You: I got a job today. Can’t wait to talk to you about it over dinner if we’re still on.
Beau: Absolutely! I’m just about finished cooking if you want to come over now. I can’t wait to hear all about it.
You smiled and told him you were on your way. As you backed out of the parking spot your tire popped. You put the car in park and got out to check it. It looked like it had been sliced. You went to the trunk to get the spare and noticed the back tire was slashed too. You looked around and swallowed hard. Who would do this. You thought.
Grabbing your phone you called Beau. “Hey, I was just thinking about you. Are you almost here” he asked. “Beau. Something’s wrong my tires were slashed. I don’t know who…the line went dead.
Beau panicked. He tried to call you back but your phone went to voicemail. He called Jenny “hey Arlen what’s up” she asked. “Jenny, Y/N called me and said her tires had been slashed. Then the phone went dead. I have no idea where she is. Do you know where she got a job today” panicked in his voice. “No. I didn’t know she got one. I’m heading to town. I’ll call Pop and have him out too. She’s a tough girl. I’m sure she’s fine” Jenny said as she hung up.
Beau thought to himself “I sure hope so.” About 10 minutes later Beau, Jenny and Pop were all searching Main Street for you. Beau was the first to see your car. It was dark but as he approached he saw the tires and your door opened. Then he froze. Lying on the ground was you. You weren’t moving and your phone still in your hand.
“Y/N!” He and Jenny both ran to your side and she grabbed you. Pop called an ambulance. You were groggy and winced in pain. Something had hit your head. “Oh my god Y/N. What happened” Jenny asked. “I don’t know. One minute I was talking to Beau and then wham. Something hit my head. I don’t know what happened.” You told her as tears pricked your eyes.
The paramedics came and checked you out. They said you were okay but had a concussion and needed to take it easy. Jenny wanted you to go to the hospital but you refused. She wanted to drive you home but you told her you needed to talk to Beau first. Jenny was irritated but she didn’t want to argue.
You walked over to Beau who was keeping his distance. “Beau. I’m so sorry I messed up our plans. You had cooked and I spent all day looking forward to it.” Tears fell from your eyes. He wrapped his arms around you and wiped the tears away. “Shhh it’s okay. This isn’t your fault. I can heat it up for lunch tomorrow. I’m just glad you’re safe. I was worried.” He kissed your forehead.
You smiled at him and looked over at Jenny who pretended not to be watching. You smiled. “Guess I better go. Maybe we can do dinner soon. I really was looking forward to it. I have to work tomorrow at 5:30 so I need some sleep.” You told him. “Oh so you’re working with Ms Suzan. She’s great. Maybe I’ll have to start getting my coffee out instead of at the station.” He chuckled. “Well I look forward to seeing you Sheriff.” You winked.
You hugged him and walked over to Jenny. Throwing an arm around her you said “come on. Let’s go home”. She nodded and everyone said good night.
Once home you crawled into bed after a hot shower. Before you fell asleep your phone went off.
Beau: I hope you sleep well tonight. I’ll see you in the morning. I’m driving you to work. No arguing.
You: Yes Sheriff. I will see you tomorrow morning. Good night. ☺️
Beau: Good night beautiful.
You smiled and put your phone on silent, then you laid down. Since your phone was on silent you didn’t see the text that came in.
Unknown: That was just a taste of what’s to come if you don’t drop this divorce. Don’t make me come back. David has given me permission to bring you back by any means necessary.
