Finally found a Rainbow High doll at Goodwill so I could test the fit of the new g5 (g5.5?) pony heads! Proportion wise, I think it’s a really good fit.

My RH doll’s neck peg came out in one piece when I tried to behead her, so I strung a random wooden bead on a pipe cleaner, popped the bead in the pony head, and shoved the pipe cleaner in the doll’s neck. Considering using Amazing Mold Putty to make a quick two part mold of the g5 pony neck plug and using that to make epoxy sculpt modifications over the neck plug of the RH doll. The g5 ponies do have a BIG hole in their necks. Took a stab at the bread tag neck fitting method but I really just wanted to check proportions, so it was half hearted.

Shot and edited this photoshoot a total of three times, twice yesterday and once today with my camera settings fixed. Still too dark and didnt like most but much more reasonable. Also experimented with drawing in some stuff on procreate to give it a different vibe than my usual dioramas, despite using the same couch.

Also, very rare for my photoshoots- significant pose alterations! Tried to give the vibe that Eko is chatting and gesturing while Jameson is listening and getting up to futz with the skateboard.

Babs & Cass are outfitted! I'd like to make them a proper background, more clothes, computers/gadgets, and someday find Cass a petite Made to Move body, but for now I'm very excited to have them looking like themselves!

Barbara Gordon / Oracle is Signature Looks #13, who has a Made to Move Classic body, and the Victoria face sculpt screened with green eyes, blue eyeshadow, brickish red lips, and freckles.

Babs has a lot of curly red hair that I've pulled back in a low loose ponytail to get her profile closer to the 1990's/2000's Scully-esque long bob. Honestly the gorgeous mass of curls would be perfect for her if I was making her original Batgirl style. Maybe someday!

Cassandra Cain / Batgirl is Fashionista #145, who has a Petite minimal-articulation body, and the Mbili face sculpt screened with brown eyes, several beauty marks, and light peach lips.

Cass came with long dark brown hair with blonde highlights. I cut it, gave her bangs, and used Sharpie to darken the blonde... but it ran when I did the boil-wash to reshape her hair and got on her face. Can't get it off so far. Fortunately it's not as visible in photos as in person, and hey, this is Cass. It's in character for her to have grime or bruises.

Babs' strappy blue heels & Cass's yellow hightop converse are the shoes they came with. Babs' pants & Cass's top are from Disney ILY Ursula Fan. I hand sewed Cass's pants & Babs' shirt. The wheelchair is from Fashionista #194. Babs' glasses are jewelry wire I wrapped around a pen several times & pinches into shape.

Discovery:

Torso joint mechanism added,works. Might do a tutorial someday.

Figma body kun (hands used here) and YMY bodies(feet used here) can be dyed with alcohol ink,no polyester dye required. But you won't get a very dark colour,though a shade like this is easy to get. It won't colour the shiny parts though

I'm really happy with this! I intend to dye her dark brown,and find a good head(probably will end up sculpting that from scratch) but some other time

Chapter 2

Bruce frowned at the screen as the loading symbol continued to spin. This is taking too long he thought as he lowered himself into the chair. Since they’d brought Tim home Bruce had spent every spare moment looking for Dollmaker. Not that he had as much spare time now a days. Glancing at the clock on the screen he sighed and stood back up. He’d been working all night and now it was morning. Stifling a yawn he made his way out of the Batcave and upstairs to Tim’s room. *** Tim was lying in bed his eyes wide open and his head turned towards the door. He’d heard someone approaching his room and though he couldn’t see he suspected it was day time.

‘Hey Timmy boy ready to get up?’ he heard Bruce’s voice from the doorway. Tim nodded. ‘OK and do you need cleaning up first?’ this time a shake. He wasn’t sure if he was grateful for this choice of wording everyone seemed to have settled on. On one hand he didn’t think he would be comfortable being asked if his diaper needed changing. But on the other hand it felt like everyone was avoiding saying anything that would force them to fully face the reality of their situation.

‘Alright I’m going to pick you up now.’ He felt his bed sheets being pulled back before he was lifted off the bed before being placed back down on top of the covers. Once they’d decided on what Tim was going to wear that day, Bruce would give him two options for his top and pants which Tim would pick by clicking his tongue once or twice, it was time to get him dressed for the day. Carefully maneuvering his arms Bruce pulled his t-shirt off of him then his Pajama pants before pulling his clothes on. Once he was dressed Bruce picked him up again and placed him in his wheelchair before putting his socks on followed by his shoes.

‘Right I’ll just give your hair a tidy and then we can get you some breakfast.’ Tim felt his chair being pushed towards what he knew was his bathroom. There he heard Bruce sit himself down on the chair before hearing the sound of something being run through his hair. Closing his eyes he focused on the sound and the feeling of Bruce’s rough scarred hand on top of his own. Tim knew he wasn’t a touchy person, or a talkative one so he was very grateful that when it was just the two of them he made the effort to talk to him more, or even just hold his hand like this. Tim couldn’t stand it when he couldn’t hear or feel anyone in the room with him. It was funny before he’d loved his own company every now and then. Now it scared him, made him feel even more vulnerable than he already did in a crowded room.

‘I’m going to find Dollmaker.’ He heard Bruce mutter though Tim wasn’t sure if he was talking to him or thinking out loud. ‘I’m going to find him, make him fix this, fix what he’s done. And if he won’t or god forbid can’t… Well I don’t have to kill him to make him sorry.’ Was there any fixing this? Would someone like Dollmaker every be sorry he’d hurt someone, anyone the way he had Tim? Probably not but until they knew for certain he’d let Bruce keep telling him there was. Lifting his head up to where the voice was coming from and gave a small smile. As he did so Bruce lifted Tim’s hand and placed it on his forehead.

‘Now let’s get you something to eat, before Alfred comes looking for the both of us.’

So I had to order more rerooting hooks because I broke mine, and the package arrived today. Apparently the place I bought it from included a small sample of doll hair in the package as well.

Now this place could've picked literally ANY color under the damn rainbow. Do you want to know what they DID pick?

Jameson is a ooak custom head from the fabulous @ meeksdoll , modded for inset piercings and painted by me, on a heavily modded resinsoul SD boy body, modded to have the proportions of achondroplasia by the immensely skilled @ milkweed_and_honeybjds , with dollstown 15 yr boy hands.
