Meet Laegjarn: Flame Captain from Fire Emblem Heroes!

She was designed for a Twitter Pirate Festival Banner Collaboration, organized by @littledashdraws

I created her Jolly Roger and original weapons, inspired by pirate weaponry and Muspell identity. She's a dual sword-wielder because of those double-sword Jolly Rogers. 😁 And, I wanted to incorporate iconic pirate pistols into a FEH-acceptable weapon.

I think. As a funny treat. Next year you should just have Summer Muspell (like, the two Lae sisters are already summer ready, as is Helbindi. gimme fire boy with no hint of anyone wanting him there).

New Ocean Keltoi video just dropped!

I completely agree with Ocean, that worshipping Jötnar like Surtr, and Loki and his kin, is perfectly valid, acceptable, and in the case of Surtr, historically attested (which I'm just now learning!)

I highly recommend everyone go and watch this video, but the key takeaway for me is that Surtr is a massive god of fire and death, but the very lava and ash that destroys the crops and homes of people is the same that fertilizes the ground for new, better growth to come. A volcano destroys everything nearby, but many places have been created from volcanic activity (Iceland, Galapagos, et al.).

Creation and destruction are two sides of the same coin, and none display this better than Surtr. Hail Surtr!

Big Print version of a panel I made for Verses of the Nine Worlds by Nico Solheim-Davidson. The poems in it are Homeric and Orphic-inspired; so the panels represent the Nine Realms of Norse cosmo/mythology in a style inspired by Greek red/black-figure ceramics, Viking Age knotwork and petroglyphs.
