A fic i always wanted to write but never did was one where Gunnthra and Laegjarn meet at some kind of formal masquerade ball event long before the invasion of Nifl and spend one night totally falling for eachother before having to return to being from rival nations.

The problem was twofold, I wasn't really confident in my ability to write a kind of flirtatious/tense dance scene and also I could not imagine a world where Surtr even bothered sending representatives to a masquerade ball, that guy would NOT care.
