oog cassette beasts is on sale on steam..its a really good monster catcher exploration rpg that focuses on double battles and fusion! i havent finished it but i really loved what ive played so far

#for battling there is a focus on status effects but it lets you know whats what. you can also swap out moves #i like the archangles designs. very cool i ncomparison to the old pokemon like style the rest of the game is #theyre also adding online multiplayer eventually! rn its only local #when theres a big steam sale i nthe winter this and signalis are p at the top imo

More live service multiplayer games are dying by the dozen as unsustainable saturation worsens?!

No!

It can’t be.

Could this perhaps be an inevitable and unfortunate consequence of the entire gaming industry piggybacking on a system that requires infinite spending and/or grinding with an emphasis on repeating content forever?!

To say nothing of how quickly such games usually crash and burn with the servers quickly being shutdown a year or two afterwards.

No. It couldn’t be!

Not the consequences of their own actions!

How could this happen?

Should we perhaps abandon this model and tell the companies that nobody has infinite money or time?

AND that such a model is completely unsustainable even in the long run?

Why would they do this? (Money, Mr Squidward)

All to appease the idiotic fantasies of greedy CEOs and shareholders what view it as a way of infinitely printing endless amounts of money for its own sake?

Are they stupid?

Yes.

I think they’re stupid.

How disappointingly predictable.
