I really liked your take on Marcy's parents in your "Family Wu" fic. It's refreshing to see since a lot of fandom usually depicts them as villainous or monsters.

I hate hate hate the assumption that all parents are abusive until shown otherwise, especially if the child in question has issues.

I have a small AU where on the Day of the Departed some souls are able to go down to Ninjago to see their loved ones.

(Such as souls who have recently died, souls who are remembered, or souls who are trusted enough to go down (when a dangerous soul is one of the first two they either are not allowed to go down or must travel down with a ‘Guardian’ such as Garmadon with Morro (yes this is a Morro AU are you actually surprised)))

So imagine how Cole feels when years down the pipe line something triggers his previous ghostly-ness (maybe evil Garms resurrection) and he sees Morro and Garmadon bickering near a Lloyd, Cryptor making fun of Zane and Pixal, Dr Julien admiring all the changes that has occurred, his mom admiring how big he’s gotten, and the damn First spinjitzu master snorting at Wu and (evil) Garmadon bickering.

No Kai he’s not hallucinating Harumi’s birth parents and adopted parents hovering over her what the hell.

Imagine how baffled he would be when he sees some random blonde woman and a guy who looks way too familiar babying a Jay who has no idea why Cole both looks traumatised and amused when looking at him.

Death in Ninjago is funny because it (by nature of it being a kid's show and them being shown as Legos) can't usually show people being stabbed or killed by weapons. The characters have to die in either one piece or in so many unrecognizable pieces, but that often leads to some horrifying implications.

Like of course we can't show Zane fully blowing up when he dies, but we can have there be nothing to bury other than a piece of his faceplate!

Harumi died in a building that crumbled around her and was resurrected on the ground floor crushed by a piece of the building's support. No blood, so it's a-okay!

The show can fully show Morro's corpse because it's an intact and silly-looking skeleton, but it also implies he died because of a cave-in got him stuck in an area that quickly filled with a highly flammable gas, which would've been an awful way to go.

Lloyd was fully crushed by a door, which is definitely on the list of bad deaths that would hurt like hell. But he's in one piece and gets resurrected, so it's fine; everything's all good.

Or you could be unlucky enough to be Mr. E and be torn into six different pieces on screen. But he's a robot so it's fine.

I know the joke of Mrs Wu not liking Sashanne is tiring on ppl and I was waiting to make this since obviously she wouldn't be unjustly mad at them forever but one too many ppl complaining got me to push this up on the list of comics to make. This, similar to Sasha's reunion with Percy & Braddock was hard to figure out how to end. Mrs Wu bonds very close to Lily and considers her her granddaughter after a while but atm she's still trying to get over her distaste of Sashanne, just give her time (which we already seen at the mayor's office comic)

I love that one of the best ninjago tumblr fandom ships is between the villain of season 5 and a guy who was in two episodes that almost none of the cast remembers and got retconned out of the rest of his screen time. they have never met.

Cause wdym Harumi is royalty x2 (technically) because of Garmadon surprise adopting her.

Wdym Morro’s mother is an eldritch creature that doesn’t rlly fully have an actual consciousness.

What do you mean Cryptor has 3 dads and they’re Cyrus Bord, Dr Julien, and the damn Overlord????

What do you MEAN Harumi is technically Mr E’s mother.

Like no Lloyd does not have the strangest parents or family these four weirdos do.

It’s so funny to me, imagine introducing someone to your parents. And all you see is an octopus monster with one big eye or a four arm oni towering over you.
