#Morning rituals

At a village way out in the (actual) Amazon where I spent some time many chapters ago, the mornings were Next Level.

Everyone in the whole large village wakes up, and just drowses, all together, with little to no talking.

There's multiple outdoor spots in the open areas with log benches and maybe some shade or raised platforms, and folks kinda glob up in those areas, but again, not much talking. Just glooping out into these bubbles of simple belonging, to be groggy together for a while.

Alternatively, you could sit/stand/lean looking out from your home's open porch area, adjacent to the extended family's open porch areas, and again, just be in that transitional space, together. The days demands will come, but first, this.

Hair all messy, nearly two hundred sleep stained faces. Recalling dreams. Pulling up from the depths. Back into this body, this time, with these others. All the more together for sharing no words.

No one says "this is important", but, it happens every day.

to stand motionless in the morning with a vacant stare and hot beverage in hand is a global phenomenon

sometimes, its good to switch things up or try a morning routine that is different from ur own. so i decided to formulate one that u can use if u just wanna try something new for funsies…💬🎀

♡ fix ur bed and make it as pretty as u can

♡ saturate ur mind DUH

♡ brush teeth and change into something adorable to workout in

♡ follow along with a workout from youtube

♡ take a shower and do skincare

♡ make something new for breakfast

try out a new recipe and make urself a super cute and yummy breakfast. if ur stuck, try making soufflé pancakes, french toast or an açai bowl…💬🎀

♡ if the weather permits, go for a walk

New day, new clearing...

This needs to be the new ritual. Cleansing your energy before you start the day. What intrusive thoughts are you dragging in from yesterday? What do you need to let go of this morning to make today a day of walking in power, of walking in truth? Write it all out, shake your body, stretch your limbs, sing and hum to awaken your throat chakra, be thankful for this glorious day that you get to be alive, that you get to start again.
