Shadow of War Stories pt. 1

Hello friends!

It’s hard to imagine it’s already been a year since Talion and Celebrimbor forged their fateful alliance as the Bright Lord, bent on the total domination of Mordor at any cost. And to celebrate the 1 Year Anniversary of Middle: earth Shadow of War, we thought we’d share some funny behind-the-scenes moments with you.

Because long before Talion and Celebrimbor’s campaign began, in fact years before the first players stalked the war-torn streets of Minas Ithil, Team Monolith had been striving in the trenches to bring this vision to light.

Along the way, as with all great (and massive) endeavors, there were highs and lows and some much-needed goofs to let off steam.

Below are some of our favorite outtakes, bloopers, and unreleased concepts from the development years. Some of these are funny bugs that popped up and others are memes that went around the studio for a day or two.

When you get a bunch of people working closely together for three years, you can get a little punchy…

But really –

Seriously. Everyone working on Shadow of War had skin in the game.

You just had to keep your head. Even when Photomode was removing Baranor’s.

When the Ologs are getting big heads…

…hopping on caragors like they own them.

When everyone is getting a little big for their britches…

...and even the Graugapults are looking for a free ride.

When it seems like everything is an uphill climb…
