can you imagine having molly as your girlfriend? she gotta be like- okay. hold on. *inhales deeply*

she would always ask how you're doing at the beginning of your conversation. but ask again a bit into it, to know how you're *actually* doing

she will make you coffee exactly the way you like it, because she remembers so well from your first date at a coffeehouse

she will hold your hand, her thumb slowly carassing the back of your hand and encourage you about every little project you wanna do

she will play soft, melodic songs (most of them are about love) and she will sway her hips ever so slightly and sing along quietly when she thinks noone can hear her

but you hear her at some point and when you ask her to sing along with you she looks at the floor and blushes. but because you smile at her and squeeze her hand she does so hesitantly, growing bolder by each chorus and in the end you're both dancing crazily and scream-singing to taylor swift or adele or queen

she ALWAYS gives you hugs when she thinks you need one, without you ever having to ask her (partly because she needs them herself)

in the mornings she will look at you with so much softness in her eyes and her fingertips trace your facial features and you melt right into it every single time

she will smile at you and it will be the sunrise and you'll be thinking "gosh she is a keeper"

and she is so soft 90% of the time but HELL she can be fierce as FUCK when someone dares to mess with you

she loves dresses. but feels self conscious in them. you tell her every time that she looks absolutely stunning in them. and every time she believes you a little more. she wears dresses more often now and at some point actually feels confident in them. and when she walks down the aisle she's blushing at all the attention, but she walks: With confidence and a smile on her face. and when she says "yes" you are convinced you married god herself.

she's also probably into BDSM so that would be fun

so yeah. anygays. kinda want her to be my girlfriend now :P

BBC Sherlock is bad at writing three dimensional female characters so here's my headcanon for Molly Hooper (who gets treated very poorly by the script imo)

Molly is actually a bit autistic (not diagnosed though)

she prefers working with dead patients instead of living ones because she finds human interaction exhausting

she likes Sherlock because she thinks he can relate to feeling othered by normal people

she has self esteem issues and problems standing up for herself / asserting boundaries because she always felt the need to get approval by others who clearly saw her as being different so she became a people pleaser

HEADCANON: MOLLY HOOPER'S SMOKING HABITS

Molly   is   mostly   a   social   smoker.   Although   it   is   rare   for   her   to   pick   up   a   cigarette   when   she   is   sober,   sometimes,   after   a   particularly   rough   autopsy,   she   will   get   one   from   her   secret   stash   (   right   corner   of   her   locker   )   and   go   to   the   roof   of   St.   Barts.   But   every   time   she’s   going   to   a   party,   she   buys   a   new   pack.   Not   particularly   fond   of   bumming   a   smoke,   not   her.   Maybe   she’s   just   too   shy   to   ask   for   it,   even   when   drunk.   Yes,   she’s   acutely   aware   of   the   damage   done   to   her   lungs   with   each   inhale   of   tar   and   nicotine,   but   it’s   one   of   the   couple   guilty   pleasures   that   she   has,   and   she   has   no   desire   to   shake   it.   If   anything,   Molly   considers   it   as   just   living   a   little.   And   what’s   better   for   a   woman   who   works   with   death   day   in   and   day   out   to   feel   alive   every   once   in   a   while ?

Molly was scouted by Mycroft in university, when she showed an aptitude for forensic sciences that astounded him, something that was lacking in his organization. Mostly due to the fact there was a drowning victim that the students needed to watch an autopsy being done on and she was the only one who didn’t pass out or lose her lunch.

He knew his brother was bound and determined to be a “consulting detective” and he wanted someone in place to assist him that could give him details since Sherlock wasn’t speaking to him. But he also wanted someone involved in law enforcement who could help the government as necessary.

Molly was one of the few who was not intimidated by being kidnapped off the street; in fact, she hit him in the arm with her brolly and cursed up a storm because she was going to be late for an interview. He was rather impressed and actually smiled.

He told her there was no need to attend the interview as she would be, if she decided to help him, working as the head of the department at Barts. She was shocked, but then asked exactly what was needed from her.

She refused his offer three times until he threw in her flat. Once she saw the kitchen, she agreed. He felt it was well worth the cost to secure her help.

They began to have tea once a week for her to give reports. After their first meeting, he had her order memorized: mandarin orange flavoured green tea and a currant scone, with a hazelnut coffee order placed when she left. He made it a point to have all three items waiting every week after that.

Molly actually liked their conversations best when they weren’t about his brother, as Mycroft would occasionally bring up non-work related things.

Mycroft was surprised at himself for bringing those interests and other cases up, but Dr. Hooper fascinated him.

He wouldn’t call it a crush, just an elevated interest.

Anthea knew it was a crush.

Molly was slowly forming an interest in Mycroft but as he was technically her employer she feared nothing would come of it.

Anthea knew she had a crush too, and decided it was ridiculous that they not do something about it.

Mycroft found himself in Oxford on “business” that wasn’t really business when Molly was asked to attend a series of lectures at the university and present one as well.

Somehow they were staying at the same bed and breakfast in rooms next to each other. And somehow they arrived at the same time.

Anthea was considerately staying on another floor.

And she decided she felt ill and “Oh, Molly’s here? Have dinner with her.” was a thing.

There was wine at dinner.

A LOT OF WINE.

Only one bedroom was used for the duration of their stay in Oxford.

Anthea was quite pleased with herself and started looking at other ways to discretely give the two of them vacation time together…next time, without her.

What does your muse smell like?

Rich cologne, very rarely leaves the house without some kind of perfume, a soapy smell if he has gotten a little bloody. If he is pretending to be someone else then his will smell will fit whatever he believes best fits the role and serves his purposes.

What do your muse’s hands feel like?

Some harder skin around the knuckles yet overall his skin is usually soft, he keeps his physical appearance well-maintained, and hand cream has been known to be used on a few occasions. Yet again, for certain roles or disguises, this may change

What does your muse usually eat in a day?

James doesn't eat as regularly as he should, he becomes absorbed in his thoughts very easily as well as any interesting schemes he may have ESPECIALLY if they involve a certain consulting detective. When he does eat he prefers to stick to foods high in all the good stuff including vitamins and protein to ensure his brain can continue functioning. Although he does eat unhealthy food as well as long as it is well cooked he will not refuse, he likes his steak medium rare.

Does your muse have a good singing voice?

I doubt we are ever going to know, although he may possibly be able to hold a tune fairly well….

Does your muse have any bad habits or nervous tics?   

Does his general behaviour and impulsiveness count as a bad habit? He has high expectations of people even of those he knows cannot meet them, relatively uncaring other than for a few and that may not come across as caring in the general regard. He loves making other people uncomfortable, at times getting very close to them or simply staring at them until they look away

What does your muse usually look like/wear?

Other than the finest suits, jackets, and formal menswear? Designer clothing and I mean the hard-to-get stuff since it's so rare, not what you can get if you keep your eye out. Common colours are black, grey, dark blue, and some burgundy

Is your muse affectionate? How much? How so?

Normally no, yet with certain individuals he can be very affectionate if he wants to be. Whilst cuddling is usually a no, a form of embrace is possible if it serves a purpose as well as the rest of affection, he feels on a different level but to him, what he is doing is serving a purpose, for example, making a lover trust him for example. Everything else is pretty much on the table, if he is manipulating someone he is very good and acting convincingly, he had been known to hug Molly Hooper.

What position does your muse sleep in?  

He can sleep on his side as well as on his back. When on his own he sleeps mainly on his back, hand always near a handgun under the pillow just in case someone manages to get past security. Small fact his eyes don't always close when asleep. With anyone else, he usually sleeps on his side so he can wrap an arm around them to keep them close

Could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room?

If he wants you to hear him then good luck trying to ignore him, he is either so loud that you know you are in trouble or as silent as a cat stalking a mouse that you should know to be equally as concerned

What is your favorite winter holiday decoration? If you feel comfortable can you post a picture and explain why. Do you think your favorite characters have favorite decorations?

hey there! (what nickname do you have? ... or do i have to make one up? 😜)

iiii... have no idea? i'm not big on decorating tbh. i like nature stuff and candles. so probably a traditional advent wreath and stuff like that. as long as it isn't angels or anything else tacky 🤢

oooh wait! i also fucking love my little incense bowl!!! i got it from a very sweet lady when i worked in her pottery shop in my high school years for my mandatory internship. it is my favorite color and the incense mixes smell AMAZING. so yeah. i'll go with that!

my favourite characters' favourite christmas decorations and traditions (headcanons)

my guess is john watson really likes decorations. obviously he is the one getting decorations for christmas and any other holiday for the 221b flat. he keeps it simple and traditional. he likes mistletoes (remind him of his mother), simple red christmas bulbs (shiny but no fancy drawing on it or sth), he loves stockings and he LOVES wearing his Christmas sweater. he got it from either his mom or harry, his sister (he forgot, and honestly he doesn't care)

sherlock's favorite christmas decoration is john in his christmas sweater of course ;)

otherwise sherlock ignores christmas and EVERY ANNOYING LITTE THING that comes along with it. (except of course john humming Christmas carols, john smiling when receiving a gift, john making a fire, john making horrible cinnamon tea... anything john)

harry watson fucking loves making christmas tea; she craves for some amaretto in it but she had sobered up and sure as hell won't get down that path again! instead she swears on christmas cookies and makes hundreds of them. she is not the one who got john his cute christmas sweater because she is all in for ugly Christmas sweaters. harry also loves the lights on christmas trees.

molly hooper loves christmas with all of her. she is excited for it all year. she loves stockings and gifting almost everyone she knows something. in november she already got all christmas presents wrapped up with cute little cards hanging from them. her favourite decoration is the mistletoe and whenever she is invited to a christmas party she scans the room for it. and at some point she'll stand "accidentally" underneath it. secretly she hopes to find the love of her life that way. (in reality she doesn't even get one kiss...) (oh wait so she stops at some point in her early 20s with this "silly dream" of hers and then some magical night when she is in her 30s/40s the most handsome man she has ever seen (it is not sherlock) sees her underneath a mistletoe and kisses her... they fall in love and live happily ever after :D) (do not disagree with me molly deserves the whole world and more)

mrs. hudson loves ALL the lights! on the houses on the trees... everywhere! but! she doesn't like it when people overdo it. (she herself totally overdoes it completely though). she loves all the sweets and she loves christmas movies (especially the ones with "those handsome actors"). cinnamon is not only her favorite thing to bake with but also her favorite decoration. she loves her christmas bulbs she was gifted from her nieces and nephews. and their kids' Christmas bulbs. (they look kind of ugly but... she doesn't care)

HPHM Character Headcanons for my Orwell Chess story

I just made MC and Jacob the Holmes family b/c let's be honest Sherlock would 10/10 go missing in his pursuit for the Cursed Vaults.

Mycroft Holmes

certified eldest, eldest. he acc attended during the Marauders Era where he was a prefect of the Slytherin House when Snape and Lucia entered

brilliant wizen, but his professors somehow never caught on to his lazy attitude. the one student who doesn't study but gets perfect grades.

but he's in Slytherin for a reason. his ambition is to live the laziest life he can but with every privilege. acts as a sort of foil to Vincent Phantomhive, who's in the same year.

he became the unofficial parent to Lucia Moriarty with Francis Phantomhive b/c he'd be damned if the most interesting gossip went missing.

he's a natural occlumens somehow. Lucia suspects it has something to do with his super high intelligence as one needs to be able to navigate their victim's memories well to be a good legilimens.

Sherlock Holmes

he's reckless (as Jacob is within the game), but he's not careless/arrogant. every plan for the Cursed Vaults was made meticulously with his brilliance

he too is a genius like his brother and family. a natural inclination for Potions and Charms. but he's not skilled in the Mental Arts. In fact, he became good at deductions b/c he lacks in Legilimency.

has several journals that detail how to create spells like him, but no one ever really reads them b/c they're so dense. the only ever person who read them was William Moriarty (Lucia's younger brother) & he's the only person to do so

the only Ravenclaw within his siblings. he doesn't care for position or fame—he wants to know magic. it's the reason why he gets along with Lucia so much. she created magic from ancient runes and practically gave him a whole new project.

best friend is still John Watson, a fellow Gryffindor, and Molly Hooper, one yr younger Hufflepuff. They're one of the only inter-house friendship at the time surprisingly.

Violet "Viola" Holmes

the MC of HPHM & Slytherin (despite knowing that we're supposed to follow in our older brother's house).

the most magically gifted within the family, but the least intelligent (which means nothing b/c Sherlock and Mycroft is not the norm). but her brothers didn't really care about that. in fact, they were more interested in magic.

she actually resembles Sherlock more than Mycroft, which she proceeds to deny every single time like siblings do. the resemblance gets worse when she puts her hair into a ponytail like he did

her magical education was stunted b/c of Sherlock's disappearance & her parents stopped encouraging magical experiments and such, which is why she's not as up-to-date at Hogwarts.

She's actually closer in age with the Phantomhive twins as they're four years apart. she became a mentor/older sister to them (they're legally related to each other b/c Lucia was adopted into the Phantomhive family and her brothers was 'married' into the Holmes family—quite complicated).
