It's one of my favourite movies of all time and yes it's not perfect but it comes from the heart and that's what the movie is all about (and I want to write a fanfiction for a sequel and I have lots of ideas and maybe I'm gonna do it)

December 17 - Christmas sweaters

Fandom: 30 Rock, Downton Abbey Characters: Floyd DeBarber, Liz Lemon, Matthew Crawley, Mary Crawley Relationships: Liz/Floyd, Mary/Matthew Word Count: 636 Rating: Teen and up audiences Summary: Floyd DeBarber is getting ready for an Ugly Christmas Sweater Day in the office, and he is not the only young lawyer who attends such an event. Notes:  In 2021, the Ugly Christmas Sweater Day was on the 17th December (the 3rd Friday of the month), and I had two short scenes in my mind that involved lawyers wearing ugly Christmas sweaters, I decided to put them together. This chapter sets in a modern AU for Mary and Matthew, and for Liz and Floyd in an AU where they are still in a long distance relationship.

December 18 - Toy shop

Fandom: Ted Lasso Characters: Trent Crimm, Roy Kent Word Count: 669 Rating: Teen and up audiences Summary: Trent Crimm is looking for a Christmas present for his daughter at the local toy shop where he stumbles upon Roy Kent who wants to buy something for his niece. Notes: To be honest, this is one of my favourite chapters in this year's challenge, I just love the idea of Trent and Roy bonding over raising girls. Originally, this came up on my RP blog (we talked about it with @everyfuckinwhere, thanks for that!) and I liked it so much that I decided to include it to the Christmas challenge. I altered it a little, as originally it all started with children's books, but here I put them in a toy shop instead. Also, this chapter is loosely related to Chapters 5 and 6 as the Santa incident is described there.

December 19 - The waltz

i have watched the eurovision movie thrice at this point (once out of curiousity and the other two times because i am working on a very long text post that probably should be a video essay but i am commited to the textpost format) and as much as i hate the story, the inaccuracies in both the process of the show and the general feel of esc and the fact that it is an american made movie,

alexander lemtov and mita xenakis could run me over with a lorry, then stop and back up, running me over again, and i would thank them.

the most unrealistic part of the Eurovision movie is that gorgeous bisexual icon Mita Xenakis would look at Lars and be like “yes. that one. I want to sleep with him.”
