I'm sorry but Disney get your facts right. I've seen several places where Disney is calming that the Rouge/Doctor kiss was the first gay moment is Doctor who/ with the Doctor. Excuse me?

First off have we forgot my beloved Captain Jack Harkness? He kissed the Doctor on the mouth and flirted a lot with him before that, then proceeded to flirt with everyone else and I do mean everyone. For crying out loud we met this man when he called rose's bottom excellent then turned around and told the man behind him he had an exsilent bottom as well. Not to mention Torchwood and the whole Ianto thing and the John Hart thing but lets ignore that for the sake of this since it's a different show even though it's the same universe.

Not to mention Jenny and Madame Vastra the Victorian lady and her lizard woman from the dawn of time Wife. Technically Sapphic but Disney is acting like they invented the queerness is Doctor Who so I feel the need to point it out

Master/Missy thing with the Doctor was also definitely fruity but they never kissed so I'll conceded it doesn't really count.

Don't get me started on Clara and Jane Austen I believe it was, I vaguely remember a few Clara being queer of some flavor moment but it's been a while since I watched her seasons so forgive me.

Bill was a lesbian canonically and even had a girlfriend for a bit.

I'm sure I forgetting loads of moments and things but like i said it's been a while since I've done a full watch through so it's not as fresh.

But basically Disney you did not invent the gayness in Doctor Who it has been there forever, do better. Representation is great but you don't get to take credit for something you did not create.

And then those same people say everyone else doesn't have media literacy!

Look, if you genuinely care about accusing fans of being criminals based on their preferred characters, then you should start hypothetically attacking the people who wrote those characters, surely. Because by no means are any of these character actions painted in a negative light, the SA is even played for comedy! So go and attack those BBC writers.

Oh, but they won't actually respond to you for attention. Because they're writers. Who wrote a piece of fiction. That people are allowed to enjoy.

TLDR: you can like and enjoy morally black and grey characters. Stop pretending that Torchwood is a comfort show and that everyone is morally white. It's a show about human corruptibility.

im so scared of hating missy martin as a character because I'm worried about her feeling unnatural in the story— if she feels like just a rando insert that's only there to make the plot of the movie make sense it will be my DOWNFALL BRO😭😭😭

i want henry and missy so bad to have a father daughter bond where henry begrudgingly helps missy or maybe doesn't even want to help her at all which pushes her away from her literal role model in a sort of "oh you're not who i thought you were" way and they have conflict over it until he sees missy for who she is and then he grows to like her !!!! and then they father daughter into the sunset and life is happy!!! (they will all suffer in the movie i just know it my gut tells me nobody will be happy until the last 10 minutes /j)

addressing the double river scandal

since you guys won't stop bothering me- i WAS NEVER involved in this, nor did i ever support anyone involved. anything you see online is false. this is the last i'll speak on it because i'm done. i dont want to fucking talk about this anymore.

christopher rivers was a longtime resident who attended mourning star highschool as well as the community college. he was interested in religious studies, and was sometimes referred to as a 'hippie' through his teenage and adult years (based on what i've heard from those who knew him at the time). his hobbies included hunting and kayaking.

in august 1984, he married his first wife, laura jane, in a private shotgun wedding. their relationship was "rocky", according to those close to them. in 1986, christopher passed away, leaving laura jane a widow.

where the issue begins is that christopher had actually not died, he had faked his death. he took this opportunity to run away to a nearby town, allegedly wanting to start over due to a fear of commitment. this claim is not widely accepted since he very soon started dating a woman named missy hart. they married less than a year later (march 1987).

in 1990, christopher faked his death for a second time. he had the goal to start "the double river church" in rural ohio. the only difference is that this time, he confided in his wife that he was leaving, promising to "come get her" ten years later. he kept to his word. though missy remarried during their period separated, pretending to be a widow, once he returned she decided to run away with him. she spent four months preparing to leave.

in november of 2000, missy rivers faked her death and moved to california with christopher. over the ten years they were apart, he had grown the double river church significantly. it spread through the country at a rapidfire pace, with multiple locations all through the country and thousands of followers nationally.

this influence was exactly what they wanted, as the church was actually a front for a ponzi scheme. christopher had used his charisma and knowledge of religion in order to convince as many people as possible to join the church. they scammed their followers for an eventual profit of over 7.6 million dollars, before one of their followers reported suspicion only 13 months after missy faked her death.

both christopher and missy were arrested in 2001. for over a year, her husband, who lives in mourning star, believed himself to be a widower.
