Remus couldn’t sleep well, too nervous to close his eyes, and just lay there in silence. He looked up at the clock, sighing in frustration seeing it was only 2 am.

He straightened himself up to lean on the headboard and looked over at his partner. Sirius was lying on his front, naked shoulders on display.

The memory of the night they just had, coming back and putting a smirk on his face. Sirius tried their best to tire him out so that he could sleep, but sadly it didn’t work exactly as planned.

But at least Sirius was dead to the world and got the rest they so desperately deserved. Remus had a big presentation coming up at work and had been restless the entire week already.

He heard muffled whines, quickly turning into louder screams. Remus got up fast, so Sirius wouldn’t wake. He left a small kiss on their pale shoulders and left the room.

Their daughter, almost a year old now, cried out of her full chest when Remus entered the room. He picked her up and carried her across the room. Swinging back and forth to lull her back to sleep.

When that didn’t work he just decided to take her to their bedroom and sat back down. She looked at him with the same stormy grey eyes as her Paddy and rested her head on Remus’ chest.

“I can’t sleep either,” he whispered into her dark brown-ish curls. He looked over at Sirius, still sleeping like a baby themselves. Their long black curls scattered around their head, and the blanket even further down than it was before, exposing their entire naked back.

Remus felt the love he felt for his family blooming in his chest, his heart beating so fast he feared it would break out and lay itself in front of its owners, his beautiful daughter, and the love of his life.

Italian Rugby Legend Credits Vegan Fuel With Giving Him a Powerful Physique

Naked and clutching a watermelon under his arm like a ball, Italian former rugby international Mirco Bergamasco flies through the air in a new ad for PETA proclaiming, “Get an Advantage: Go Vegan.”

The sports star, who’s been vegan for several years, credits plant protein with giving him the energy and strength to excel as a professional athlete. Discussing the campaign, he says:

Going vegan was one of the best things I’ve done, both for my rugby game and on a personal level. I’m strong and fit, my reflexes are sharp, my mind is awake, and my conscience is clear – I encourage everyone to give meat, eggs, and dairy foods the red card and see the difference for themselves!

Vegan eating spares animals immense suffering in today’s industrialised meat, egg, and dairy industries. In addition to keeping animals in extreme confinement and transporting them in all weather extremes, workers in these industries routinely slit live chickens’ throats, chop off piglets’ tails and testicles without painkillers, and tear calves away from their mothers shortly after birth. Adopting a vegan lifestyle helps prevent human suffering, too, as vegans are less vulnerable to heart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer, and obesity than meat-eaters are.
