I wanted to experiment with color, lighting, metal, gems, and water for this one! Has anyone else noticed that Mipha is paler than Sidon in their concept arts? Interestingly they seem to be the same color when they are younger based on the DLC scenes of both of them 100 years in the past. Perhaps the Zora, like fish, can become paler under stress? Anyways, enjoy a colorful Mipha!

Been thinking of how sad it is that the things that were so important in BotW (sheikah tech, divine beasts) were less than an afterthought in totk, so here's an idea of what the divine beasts at least could have been in totk, if they were around.

Vah Ruta: since the zora have great respect for Mipha and all that was associated with her, I can imagine Vah Ruta being turned into some sort of mobile hospital, one that can use the waterways to go to its patients, perhaps even experimenting with recreating the tech for the shrine of resurrection or something similar. Its endless source of clean water would do well in a hospital setting, for cleaning wounds an such. In game, a quest could be bringing water from the wellsprings in the depths to make the hospital better. (these assuming the beasts would be repurposed in a way that would make them less weapon-y)

Vah Rundania: hyper mobile mining rig. Capable of climbing into the caldera of death mountain itself, the gorons would get a lot of mileage out of the beeg lizarb. A lot of new minerals could potentially be obtained using Vah Rudania. In game, a quest could be going with the gorons on a mining run, if there were monsters that needed destroying.

Vah Medoh: Merchant or Charter plane, to transport items or people long distances, or bring people up to the sky islands for research purposes. In game, a quest could be helping repair it, and either it being something you could hitch a ride on to get to some harder to reach places, or helping the Zonai research crew get in touch with the Rito for a partnership investigating the skylands.

Vah Naboris: Power plant baby. If anyone deserves to discover air conditioning and indoor plumbing first, it's the Gerudo. Using Naboris as their source of electricity, making electric lights, motors, AC, etc. would be a cool and interesting way of repurposing Naboris. A lot of electricity ultrahand puzzles could have come out of this.

Bonus: Shrine of resurrection dlc dungeon (forgot what its called lol). Make that the new sheikah lab, where you can assist with integrating zonai and sheikah tech.

she wasn't even in the same SHOW as the yaoi I've been convinced she deserves to win the entire poll. I was a Johnlocker but I did watch the first season of Elementary and it was fine????? It was totally okay????? Especially in hindsight given how hard Sherlock season four flopped. Also Lucy Liu is a queen and deserved zero vitriol for *checks notes* playing a character???? A fucking fictional character???????? Oh my god we were all SO mean to this show and we (or at least I) thought it was like The Good Fight™️, like we were defending BBC Sherlock against copyright infringement and straightwashing and Jonny Lee Miller's bizarre scarf, (it wasn't a good scarf I do stand by that) but then Elementary didn't make Holmes and Watson a couple either???? And also it didn't insult its audience constantly etc etc we've all seen the Hbomberguy Sherlock is Garbage video. This is really long sorry hashtag justice for Joan Watson.

Mipha

Honestly she's not just a victim of yaoi, tbh. Basically: she canonically had a massive crush on the protagonist, Link, which consistently gets swept under the rug or ignored entirely in favor of shipping Link with her brother Sidon, their fellow champion Revali, or Zelda herself. She deserves nice things and so many people just... completely overlook her??

She has a crush on Link, but so does her younger brother Sidon, who is much more affable and outgoing. Link/Sidon is the more popular ship. Mipha gets a lot of flak for being a weak female character who's only defined by her romantic relationship to the protagonist. That's not really fair; she has her own storyline about being the golden girl from her town who everyone looks up to, and the hole that's left in the town after her death. It is unfortunate that she is better remembered as the less compelling corner of a love triangle.

The princess of the Zora, sweetheart of the Zora's Domain. Champion pilot of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. Master healer, cut down in her prime by an ancient evil. But you wouldn't know it, because she's reduced to someone who was in love with Link (the game's protagonist), and therefore has to be sidelined and villainized to ship Link with her younger brother Sidon or her fellow Champion Revali.

I don't think I have ever drawn Daruk before, so I'm just glad I was able to hide most of his body behind his giant hand where I don't have to try drawing him kneeling since Knuckles is so tiny by comparison. They are also sworn brothers now, Daruk has decided.

Rouge gets to be the double agent infiltrating the Yiga clan. Don't worry, Urbosa, she's willing to provide intel...for a price, of course.

Also please pretend that Sonic is standing on a rock or something, I overestimated his height. The same thing for my previous post with Mipha and Zelda, the Sonic crew are just so incredibly short and I keep drawing their faces before the rest of their bodies.

Rouge and Urbosa deserve a more dynamic picture. I actually just drew Rouge alone first so I didn't really think about them together. These ladies deserve better but that's enough for tonight.

It is currently midnight and I am enraged about the Champions again. They deserved so much better than to just be optional side quests in the main game with some extra info added if you pay for the DLC.

Never getting over Mipha being somewhere in the range of an adolescent (even though her people live forever so it’s kinda fuzzy on the details there), Link being like 16-17, Zelda definitely being 16 and then 17, and Revali canonically being a child due to his red fledgling marks.

All of Hyrule really sent children to lead them in a war and thought, “Yeah, what could go wrong?”

What if... link has been marriage scammed before. the plot was Sidon going to Link's house in hateno or vice versa link goes to the domain, but it worked better for Sidon doing it. To get married for tax benefits or because of something similar. Link agrees but "Oh yeah i need to divorce Kogha then" Pre calamity he married Kogha accidentally as i stated previously. link had accidentally done that quite a bit after he woke up from the shrine.

Link would infiltrate the Yiga hideout, again. potentially get captured only for Link to nonchalantly just say "we need to get divorced"

Wind knew he shouldn’t be eavesdropping.

But he couldn’t sleep, not after the day he’d had, and he’d snuck into the kitchen to ask if he could have something to eat, but instead he found Legend and Hyrule and Twilight all talking together in whispered voices.

And Wind could never resist whispered voices.

“...glad we got you out,” Twilight was saying as Wind crept to the doorway. “The capital is going to be hopping mad after all this, and they deserve it.”

Hyrule almost smiled. “Can’t say I’m sorry to hear that. Wish I could see the looks on some of my supervisor’s faces. They wouldn’t expect me to actually escape.”

“Didn’t you ever fight back against them?” Legend asked, and though his tone was sharp, Wind thought he just seemed confused, like he couldn’t image anyone not trying to escape from the situation Hyrule had been in.

“I used to,” Hyrule said softly, and the room quieted.

Hyrule looked at his lap, and exhaled, tugging the blanket around his shoulders a little tighter around himself.

“I got found pretty young, I was... two, I think. Don’t remember my family. But yeah, I got scooped up and put into training before I can remember. It wasn’t so bad at first, learning how to use my powers, and help people. This nice lady named Mipha taught me about healing, and I was happy to be able to help the people they sent to us sometimes. But...”

Hyrule’s voice dimmed.

“I don’t know when it happened exactly. I was maybe seven? But one day Mipha was gone, and suddenly I was seeing dozens of hurt people a day, and I was expected to heal all of them. I had to heal even tiny scratches, and after I started passing out regularly, I realized I couldn’t stay. I made a break for it.”

“You didn’t make it though,” Legend realized quietly.

“...No. I got caught and dragged back. I just got a warning for some reason that first time, and I tried a bunch more times, even when I started actually getting punished and put under higher security. And I didn’t stop trying to get away until... Dark stepped in.”

“You met Dark?” Twilight gaped, and Hyrule nodded.

“Only for a few minutes. He wanted to see the troublesome healer himself. He was awful, honestly. Took one look at me, and... and then he sent me away for branding,” he finished in a whisper.

The room was stunned into silence.

“I thought that was a myth,” Legend finally said, his face white.

Hyrule visibly swallowed, and lifted up his sleeve, revealing an angry red mark burnt into his shoulder. Wind felt his breath catch, and couldn’t help leaning in to try and look at it better. Cruel lines were burned deep into Hyrule’s skin, ones that looked like they stretched down his back and onto his chest as well, and even though Wind couldn’t see it the best, his stomach lurched.

“It’s not,” Hyrule whispered. “And they said next time I tried to escape, they’d do it on my face too.”

Legend abruptly stood up and stalked away, slamming the door to the backyard as he left. Hyrule startled, but Twilight patted his arm.

“He’s not mad at you, kid. He’s mad at the situation, and the people who did this to you,” he explained gently, and Hyrule looked away, pulling his shirt up and blanket over his shoulders.

Twilight glanced at the doorway where Wind was hiding, and Wind had a feeling he knew he was there.

“We should head to bed anyway. We can talk more tomorrow.”

Update considering Ranch Family AU

Tomorrow (11th of April) I will be having Whumpril 2025’s first Ranch Family AU story. There will be several of them due to the fact of not all Main Prompts of Whumpril 2025’s list having hit for the main story. I’ve changed some of them for Alt Prompts. Sadly, one (15th day) will be missing main story due to now having had the prompts work for it.

Anyway, I feel like I will need to explain some things considering my Ranch Family AU stories:

Tagging I have thought about this for long while and I have chosen to actually include the Linked Universe into there. Sure, this is AU. BUT, my stories of Ranch Family AU are coming AFTER Linked Universe happened. I have Linked Universe dubbed as Linked Era. And Time’s VERY interested of it as his favorite Hero from Hyrule’s legends is none other than the Hero of Time. So, yes, Linked Universe will be at the tags of fandom alongside with my own Ranch Family AU tag.

Relationships - Obviously, Time and Malon even though they won’t get much of time together. =( - Twilight will be with Midna. Ilia will be a childhood friend from the time before orphanage. Unlike Twilight, Ilia had a family to be returned to. - Sky, obviously, will be with Sun. Groose will be friend of Sun’s and he’ll eventually be like a babysitter for the duo’s kids. ^^;; - Wind will be with Tetra but I’ll still need to flesh out their relationship. - Four and Dot but that’s still very uncharted lands for me. Need lot of thinking about how they’ll meet and all. - Legend and Marin, no doubts even one bit. The kid deserves this relationship and it WILL work out.

Then there are the question marks: - Hyrule: I have a feeling I will not be pairing him with anyone. He’s an explorer, traveler. Not exactly one who’ll settle down anytime soon. - Wars: I have some thoughts for this but nothing concrete as of yet. I’ve thought about some own character of mine but I doubt that’ll happen. I’ve also thought about Nabooru from Gerudo Tribe but…. *shrugs* It might be a good pair due to them both being Commanders of Army. I’m bit falling for that thought but it might never really come into reality.

Now, the last boy that will certainly divide my followers / readers. >.< Yet, may I remind about this one simple thing: My story, my ways. If you don’t like, you can always go back without leaving bad comments. Now, I’ll remind of another thing: My story is NOT a love story in romantical way but of FOUND FAMILY. It’s about friendship, family, brotherhood and such. Romance is very small part of the story. It’s mentioned and it’s for founding a family with the given pairings (minus Time, sadly) but other than that, the story’s mainly around the life at the Lon-Lon Ranch and before it. And, obviously, some after it too and all but not the main focus, really.

- Wild is with Mipha. Yes, the Zora Princess. I thought about this for VERY long while and VERY hard but I feel like this is the right way. It is clearly given in Linked Universe. It’s implied in Breath of the Wild. Flora will be a friend to them both but NOT a competition. Also, Sidon will be Wild’s aid / secondary cook at his restaurant. ^^;;

Zoras Due to the very fact of my readers to be divided by the fact of Wild and Mipha being a pair, I think I should clear off some “problems” that people prolly see in the given relationship. Also, I will be doing a better character sheet for Zoras eventually but I just want these main things out already. - Zoras are more Hylian/Gerudo like in outlook. Less fishy parts like the long head pieces, fishy tail or such. - They’re great swimmers. They rather compete against each other since they’d be superior against Hylians, Gerudo and other races. Yet, if the other races do want to have a competition against them or want to join, they’re allowed. - They live on islands and coasts. The more water is around, the better. - Most have either a birthmark or taken a tattoo of a fish / water creature of their liking (Mipha has both birthmark and tattoo of a dolphin while Sidon got shark) - The hair color of theirs matches those of the skin color they have in the games (for example both Mipha and Sidon got red hair) - Some, whom are more connected into the ancient bloodline of the Zoras can have other features too such as: -> Gills when in water but not once dry -> Sharp fingernails -> Possibly sharper teeth -> Once submerged, can get more fishy outlook like the head parts or fish tail and such -> They can get fishy scales too - All of the given traits are voluntary. They can choose to either let them out or keep them hidden. And most of them come out only after submerged as that once was their actual living areas. Yet, even then it’s their own choice whether or not the traits / features are seen.

So, yes, the Zoras are actually much harder to be recognized from normal cities that look more of Hylian or Gerudo. Yet, the Zoras are NOT hiding. It is just how things have changed with time.

In fact, similar thing is with the Gorons. Yet, I’m not going to start to go into their species here. I just wanted to show that Wild and Mipha is perfectly fine choice. Yet, as told, this kind of relationships are mainly as “side notes”, just talked about / mentioned and not really gotten deeper into.

Other info My Ranch Family AU is mainly centered around Time. And after Malon, he’s not getting married anymore. His main life / story will be concentrated into the life he has with his adopted boys. So, yes, the romance part is very small. Those romance stories might come up mainly around such days as Valentine Day’s or such. It just depends on how things flow and what I want to write.

So, yes, this was a slight warning and all. Plus, I might end up mentioning about Wild’s relationship with Mipha in one of the Extra Prompts for Whumpril 2025 which is why I’m giving this heads-up now.

They shared some classes. She'd say they were close. Close friends, but nothing more than that. He'd tease her. She'd get all flustered and shove his arm. He'd laugh and look at her with a fond smile on his face. They were friends.

Some people said he had a crush on her, but she didn't believe it. She had known Revali since they were freshmen in high school and he didn't do crushes, so she doubted that would change going into their sophomore year of college. Although she did know that despite not doing crushes he...got around. He was in it for the temporary burst not the long lasting flame that she wanted.

Besides, she still found herself drawn to Link, despite the fact that he was dating Zelda. She would never try to sabotage them or anything like that and she tried to make peace that if Link was happy, she was happy. But she still liked him...a lot.

This had always annoyed Revali, and she assumed it stemmed from his hate for Link. Although Impa tried to tell her it was because Revali liked her and she was still hung up on Link. Mipha had always dismissed the idea.

They were just friends.

"You should hang out with us tonight," Urbosa leaned against the lockers as Mipha gathered her things. "We're having a girl's night at Zelda's. Her father's on a trip and actually gave her permission to have us over. No boys allowed."

"That sounds fun! I'll gladly join you." She heard a familiar male voice drift down the hall as she closed her locker, glancing over. Revali was talking to whatever girl he was temporarily with right now, a freshman named...Melody, if she remembered correctly.

Urbosa sighed. "Its unfortunate."

"What is?"

"What's happened to that boy. He tries to lose himself in other people and he always ends up back at square one."

Mipha's eyes widened and she stared over at Revali. Melody clearly was flirting with him and by the smirk on his face he was flirting back. He happened to glance up and met Mipha's gaze, his smirk turning to a genuine smile. He offered a little wave, catching Melody's attention, and she turned and waved too, a happy grin on her face. Mipha smiled and waved back.

Urbosa sighed. "Melody's such a nice girl. She doesn't deserve to be caught up in Revali's nonsense."

Mipha frowned. "Doesn't everyone know about his...reputation?"

"Surprisingly not everyone, I'm afraid. But he'll figure it out eventually."

"Yeah," she turned away, starting down the hall. "One day he'll find someone to settle down with. I'm sure he will."

She missed Urbosa's sad smile. "I'm sure he will."

Revali stared at the ceiling of his dorm, taking in the cracks in the paint. Melody's head rested on his chest, her black hair just at the edge of his line of vision. 

He could already feel the emptiness creeping in. 

This used to work better. Instead of drinking like many guys he knew, he'd replace her name with someone else. Replace her voice, her face, with someone new. He'd get lost in feeling someone else, tasting someone else, trying to fill that void that yearned for her. 

It used to work better. But less and less did it fill the hole.

"Revali."

"Hm."

"That girl earlier...her name's Mipha, right?"

He silently cursed his traitorous heart speeding up simply at the mention of her name. "What about her?"

"Do you like her?"

He lifted his head to look at Melody. She looked back at him, completely serious. "Do you?"

"What on earth makes you think that?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe because you truly smiled at her. No one on campus ever sees you smile."

Revali frowned. "I don't like her the way you're implying."

"And I think you're a big fat liar," she repositioned herself, flicking her hair out of her brown eyes. "I know you're here for a good time, Revali, and frankly so am I. But I can tell your heart is yearning for someone. Its in your eyes."

He scoffed. "You're seeing things."

"No, I'm not. Word of advice? Girls like her are in it for the long run. What you're doing isn't going to help you any."

"Thank you, obvious."

"I'm serious. Look, I usually don't give two shits about the guys I hook up with, but I honestly think you have a chance to get with her. Don't waste it."

Revali sighed and dropped his back down. "Trust me, I've tried."

"Then try harder."

He snorted. "You're odd, Melody."

She smirked. "I know."

Mipha could remember that Revali had basically confessed having feelings for her back in their second year of high school.

She had gently turned him down, still thinking then she had a chance on Link. When she heard about Revali getting with some girl only three weeks later, she had assumed he had moved on and Mipha was some fleeting interest he'd had.

Now she sat and watched Zelda and Link laughing about something and she was starting to wonder what would've happened if she had taken a chance on the raven-haired man.

He joined them at the table with his food order, sitting next to her like he always did. His arm accidentally brushed hers and he muttered an apology before beginning to eat. Link and Zelda barely acknowledged he had sat down, as they were so wrapped up in their conversation about...Hylian knew what, Mipha wasn't even listening anymore.

She only realized she had zoned out when she vaguely heard something akin to Revali's voice. She startled. "Pardon?"

He sighed. "You know, the sooner you let it go the happier you'll be. You're just poisoning yourself."

To her own surprise, she snipped back, "And you would know?"

An almost sad look crossed his face, an emotion she rarely ever saw on his angled features. "Believe it or not, yes I do."

He resumed eating and before she could question him, Urbosa plopped herself down at the table. She took one look at Revali's detached features and Mipha's confused face, and leaned over to Link and Zelda. "There are other people here, you know."

Link startled and Zelda immediately apologized. "I'm sorry, we got completely sidetracked!"

Revali snorted. "We know."

Zelda was quick to include them in the conversation (Revali, as usual, did not really participate), and although Mipha acted like she was fine, curiosity was burning within her. How did Revali know? Who was he talking about when he said that holding on would just make things worse?

Some little corner of her mind wondered if it was her and she shook her head. That was nonsense.

Utter nonsense.

He sat in his dorm on a Saturday night, guitar on his lap, staring blankly at the wall. He absently strummed a few times, before playing the start of "Mess It Up" by Gracie Abrams. Mipha had introduced him to the song back in high school, and he had learned to play it for her. He couldn't forget the way her eyes had lit up.

He was such a hypocrite. Move on, he had told her weeks ago, and here he was hung up and poisoning himself.

A knock shook the door and he froze mid-strum and groaned. He swore to Hylia, if his neighbor was here to complain about his taste in music again, he was going to rip them a new one. They heard everything else and not a word but as soon as he pulled out his guitar, they were on his ass about being loud. 

They knocked again and he dropped his guitar on the bed, crossing the small space in a few strides and yanked the door open. "Look, I don't care if you think Gracie Abrams sucks, I--" he stopped, actually looking at who was in front of him. "Mipha?"

Her golden eyes were wide, half hidden by her messy hair. She was wearing a too-large sweater that after a moment Revali recognized as his. She had stolen it from him all the way back in high school, before he had really realized how he felt about her. "I like Gracie Abrams."

It took him a minute to respond. "Oh! Yeah, uhm...I thought you were my neighbor. They, uh...don't like it when I play my guitar," he ran a hand through his hair. "Uh, what's up?"

She shrugged. "Sorry, I just got lonely. Everyone else is off doing things and I remembered Teba mentioning you never go anywhere on Saturday nights, so..."

"Oh. Yeah, I usually don't. Do you want to go somewhere or come in...?"

"I-I'll come in."

He nodded, opening the door wider and stepping aside so she could get through. He left the door a crack open (its not like anyone would barge in there and he didn't need any assumptions going on) and went back to his bed, grabbing his guitar again.

There was a clear dividing line between his half of the space and Teba's half. Teba's bed was neat, his desk clean, and he had gotten the closet, keeping it organised. Revali's bed was a wrinkled mess, his desk covered in papers and his laptop, and he had gotten the dresser, which had trophies and other things strewn across the top and drawers that didn't close all the way.  

Revali's messiness drove Teba up the wall sometimes. 

Mipha hovered there, unsure if she should sit with Revali, sit at the desk, or just lean against the wall. Revali personally didn't care, although he knew she had right reason to be nervous of the bed. 

"So," Revali grabbed his pick, strumming a few random chords. "Did you come just to look at me or..."

To his surprise, she blushed a bit. "Oh, no, I...uhm..."

She looked down at her shoes and after a moment of waiting for her to continue (she didn't), Revali began playing "Mess It Up" again. Her head snapped up and she smiled. "You still play it?"

"Yeah. I was actually playing it before you showed up."

"I heard guitar, I just couldn't make out what you were playing."

He nodded, placing his palm over the strings to get them to stop before starting over. Mipha's head bobbed along with the beat and after a moment of debate, Revali decided to start singing, "Opened two double doors. Typical, pretty sure I could grow up."

He knew he didn't sound great singing this song, but it was acceptable enough. Besides, Mipha's eyes lit up in that special way of hers and it was enough to keep him going. As he reached the chorus, she suddenly started singing with him, "Did I fall out of line when I called you? When I told you 'I'm fine', you were lied to."

She had a beautiful voice. More than once they had made cracks about being a little two-person band, going off to play worldwide. It had never happened, but it was fun to think about. "'Cause every time I get too close I just go mess it up."

Their eyes met. As they sang through to the next chorus, the lyrics felt weighted. Didn't work...kicking myself...hope you're sleeping well...it all seemed to hold some sort of significance neither of them could figure out. 

He looked away, unable to deal with the heavy energy filling the room. As they reached the end, he saw her shuffled closer out of the corner of his eye and the motion was enough to draw his gaze back up to her face. 

She had always said she looked her worse when she her hair wasn't put up and she had just thrown on whatever to wear, but he disagreed. She was always so beautiful it hurt and no other girl he had met compared. They reached the end of the song, the guitar resonating the final note as he dropped his hand and they stared at each other. She had moved significantly closer, almost enough that his foot could brush her sneakers if he moved just a bit. 

She went to turn away but he gently grabbed her wrist. "Mipha."

She stared at him and he felt his nerve slipping away. He shouldn't say anything. It was years ago and they were friends. He didn't want to lose the piece of her he had. He--

"Let it happen."

Her whisper made him blink. "I..."

"I know now," she dropped her gaze a bit and Revali couldn't figure out where she was looking. "I understand now. Oh, I was looking in the wrong place the whole time. You were here the whole time, waiting for me."

He let out a breathless laugh. "Mipha, I'm not quite following."

She met his eyes again. "It was always you. You were always the one who loved me even though I've been too blind to see it. I always thought..."

He quickly moved his guitar to the side, taking her hands. "Yeah. Yeah, I've been holding on like a fool. I tried to forget about you, find someone else, but no one...none of them were you, Mipha. You're the only one I've truly wanted."

She stepped closer and dropped down so they were almost eye to eye. She slipped her hands from his and suddenly threw her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly. He breathed in sharply, hugging her back and burying his face in her hair. 

This felt so right. Nothing else, no one else had ever felt so right. Never.

💘 MIPHLINK!!! Do I have to say it? Absolutely 110% Miphlink. Honestly they are a pairing that I love more than all the other ships I have ever shipped, and I come back to them whenever other hyper fixations fizzle out or I want something comforting. I love them both so much. AoC is one of my favourite zelda games for that reason. (BoTW too, but the tragic lovers vibe is so sad)

Skyward Sword Zelink, a little bit, I wasn’t head over heals for them, but SS Zelda reminded me a fair bit of Mipha (if Mipha had been brought up in a less dangerous time and with less royal duties they would have probably been more similar), so that was that! 

I really wish I shipped Revali with someone, because I love the birb because he is stupid and fun to draw, initially I was a pining Miphvali shipper, but like, I wasn’t a massive fan of that, so maybe ZelVali? Some people ship that, and I’ve got to say the Revali and Zelda talking scene is one of my favourite cutscenes in BoTW, not to mention Zelda’s dialogue to Revali; If not romantic, definitely platonic. 

Teba and Saki are the adorable birb parents so I quite like their couple dynamic? Im not really the biggest shipper outside of Miphlink tbh.

I honestly have no idea? Probably a Hylian (boring answer sorry!), but maybe a Rito. I love the decoration styles, and bright colours, and also they live in a cool climate and I do not like hot weather. So maybe a rito.

I think my favourite dungeon would have to be the Ancient Cystern in SS, I just love how beautiful the whole thing is, with all the lotus-y patterns and the pinks and turquoises and the flowers and stuff. ITs just so dang beautiful!! I also really loved the Sandship Dungeon. I think in terms of play through that was my favourite from start to finish. Location is SO much harder. Aesthetically Satori Mountain, and Rito village, story-wise and where I spend my most time in BoTW Zora’s domain, I also Love the Zora’s domain and Rito Village music. Also sweet cozy little skyloft is so nice and permanent and homely. The great plateau is so nostalgic and I love that too… AAA I don’t think I can pick! In AoC it has to be Scero’s Supplies, I know you can’t really go there, but the merging of Zora and Hateno architecture is just so beautiful and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Ohhh… Unpopular Zelda opinions… I have quite a few of those. Ok. Here we go. 

ToTK is AWUFUL. Hot dang it is the worst thing ever. It wasn’t even the story that made me stop playing. It was one line from an NPC in Rito Village. Molli wants to make elemental arrows, and has an idea for arrow inventions, that can freeze enemies! No way that’s so cool, except… that is literally one of the main things in the last game. You can buy elemental arrows from the shops. Like what the heck? At least explain to me why a very common commodity that EVERYONE but Particularly the people who’s job it is to look after Bows (Harth and Moli) know about and have access to is somethign they want to invent now. I hate is. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I ha- anyway. I despise whatever Lazy idiot decided that was the way to go. Who cares about lore? Not us apparently. I also have a massive problem with the imperialist mass-destruction weapon wearing zonai as well. And as a historian I just love BoTW so much better than ToTK. It treats its history with respect, and nuance, and good golly thats not how ruins from 10,000 years ago would work and o my word stop suspending my disbelief!?! 

Anyway. I could rant for far longer about far more things, but I’ll leave it at that. 

Way more unpopular, and Zelink shippers please ignore this: I think BoTW Zelink is creepy. The power dynamic is insanely bad (princess and her servant who literally cannot disobey her father), and the age gap is also awful (16 turned 17 for one day and “20 something” from the BoTW art book). 

Also, the women deserve better from that fandom. But that’s not news.
