Russian army Captain Vasily Dandykin says about the Russian response to Ukraine invading Russia near Kursk, “it should be a consolidated strike - air, sea, land.”
Should we tell Captain Dandy that Kursk is landlocked? Should we tell this active duty Captain in the Russian army that? I kinda want him to find out the hard way that Kursk is closer to Moscow Oblast than it is to the Sea of Azov (the nearest large body of water). 😉

Source: Comrade Kroupsky | Channel TRAILER
P.S. The best quote in 2025...It seems that the author of the excellent Paper Skies channel dedicated to the history of aviation has been thoroughly irritated by the useful idiots and simply corrupt fools in the West and East who live in pathetic illusions about Russia and the Kremlin's regime...! The beginning looks promising! We are waiting for new videos...

North Korean troops reportedly killed 300 Ukrainian soldiers and reclaimed the village of Plyokhovo in the Kursk region within two hours on December 6. The attack, described as a “hurricane” by the Russian Telegram channel Romanov Light, left no survivors as the forces took no prisoners. Ukraine's Defense Ministry has not commented, but pro-Russian politician Oleg Tsaryov confirmed the news without providing further details.
This comes amid deepening ties between Russia and North Korea, marked by a defense pact signed in June and formalized this week after an exchange of ratification documents. North Korea has reportedly sent over 10,000 soldiers to Russia, according to accusations by the United States and South Korea.
The presence of North Korean forces in Russia, first reported by Washington, has intensified concerns among global leaders. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for their withdrawal, fearing an escalation in the conflict. Additionally, Pyongyang’s support has included supplying artillery shells and military aid, further solidifying the military partnership with Moscow. The move highlights North Korea’s growing involvement in the Ukraine war and its strengthening defiance of international sanctions.

It's just that Russia always grows in size when Western countries spoil its mood. It's not about imperial ambitions, as they like to say in the West, it's about survival… The Russians (or I don't know what you call them and who you consider them) lived in modern Muscovy, which survived, surrounded on all sides by unfriendly tribes, who constantly raided the Russians, condemning them to hunger and death… And then the Russians realized that something had to be done.
What does this even MEAN oh my god....
"Russia always grows in size" That's a euphemism - Russia doesn't "grow in size" like a child does as they get older - Russia is killing thousand of people in order to take over their land.
I have no idea what you mean by "spoil its mood". Putin feels insulted so he starts a war? Is that what you mean??
The Duchy of Moscow was fighting for its survival very often, I'm sure, but a lot of the wars it waged were expansionist, not defensive. However, I wasn't even criticizing that, because what I am talking about is the present-day Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine. Russia is not invading Ukraine for "survival". Without invading Ukraine, they are not condemned to "hunger and death". It's the other way around. Russia is invading Ukraine, and it is the Ukrainian people who are fighting to survive.
It is absolutely imperialism. Imperialism doesn't always mean you have/want an empire. It includes (among other things) taking over other countries through military force, so that you can control them. That is exactly what Russia is trying to do to Ukraine. It is what Russia, the USSR, the Russian Empire, the Duchy of Moscow, all have done at various times. Pretty much all powerful nations engage in imperialism to some degree or another. Russia is not an exception.

there's actually a nonzero chance the coup could be successful, if the army decided to side with prigozhin. I'm sure it's very deliberate that he expresses sympathy to the "average soldier" bc that would make them more likely to join him against the current military leadership. it would also be very very bad if it was successful bc this guy is a lot more bloodthirsty. I'm not sure anyone would resist it though. most of putin's support seems of the "support anyone in power" sort. Also important to note that prigozhin has not said anything against putin yet

August 1973... Speedmaster at Star City ! On May 22, 1973, Omega HQ Bienne received a delegation of Russian cosmonauts lead by Aleksei Yeliseyev and presented the spacefarers with the Omega toolwatches such as the flightmaster pilot watch and the Speedmaster chronograph. The Russian delegation was even shown the ex-Alaska II Project Speedmaster chronographs with red outer case, originally designed for use on the bumpy Lunar Rover in the harsh/dusty Moon environment. However, Omega's Alaska II Project never made it to the Moon but the Russians showed interest for use on the newly developed Orlan EVA space suit on the Salyut-6 space station. Already in June 1973, the Omega flightmaster pilot watch was spotted on the wrists of the ASTP cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Valeri Kubasov while training at Star City - Moscow. It looks like the earliest Omega Speedmaster chronograph photo dates August 1973 as Star City commander Georgi Beregovoy talked to the Soyuz 12 crew. The first Omega flightmaster pilot watch Speedmaster flown-in-space on Soyuz 14 in July 1974 while the first Omega Speedmaster chronograph worn by a Russian cosmonaut in space was during Soyuz 16 in November 1974. Learn the whole story in upcoming podcast ! (Photo: RKA/TASS)
