... “Who's down?” Chris demands, alarmed. 

“Agent Kennedy,” Piers says. He has to be quick, gravity is pulling the blood deeper into Kennedy’s body rather than out like Mac said. 

Piers is unable to help the small smirk at Chris’s stunned silence. 

“What the fuck? What is he doing here?”

“Shooting at us, I guess.” Piers says, pulling up Kennedy’s shirt— yup, no vest at all. Just a regular white undershirt underneath that is turning as red as his grey pull over.

“Wouldn't have if I knew it was you,” Kennedy says, struggling to maintain the same volume. At least his blood loss is not so bad that he is losing consciousness.

“Friendly fire?” Chris asks as if it was anything else. If Kennedy was intending to shoot them, then they have some things to discuss once Kennedy is capable of holding conversations again.

Piers snorts. “He hasn't shot since I identified us, so I assume so.”

“Ran out of bullets,” Kennedy mutters, still somehow in a mood to be difficult.

“Please stop talking,” Piers says because Kennedy’s desperate gasp of air right after is concerning. “You should focus on breathing.”

“If I'm talking, I'm breathing.”

Piers channels his best version of his mom's “really?” expression. Kennedy just rolls his eyes— and that makes Piers smile because that's the same exact way he reacts, too.

“You should have worn a vest,” Piers tells Kennedy, grabbing another pack of sterile pads. 

The look Kennedy gives Piers is full of scathing disgust with just a side eye and a raised eyebrow. Piers bark out a laugh. God, Kennedy’s attitude never quits, does it?

decided to rewatch tcw and i remembered just how hard it is for me to watch without constantly going "why the hell are they doing that" every other scene 😭😭

like they're doing that because this is a KID'S SHOW. logic is taking a backseat for the sake of the narrative. use the force to suspend ur disbelief baby because you won't make it otherwise!!!

i wish sonic forces had gone into more detail about what GUN was doing the entire time during eggman's takeover like... were they just rolling over and letting eggman have the run of the world? did they WANT him to take over for their own means ?? were they hunkering down to fight back on their own separate from the resistance? were they working WITH the resistance to help provide resources (like wispons) ?? what was their deal

Its been a bit, but anyone else particularly unsatisfied with the way Dragon Pilot ended? Like, I get that I was probably imagining a lot more of the themes I was enjoying than were strictly, textual supported, but after a full series of watching Amakasu try to find her way and make friends in a setting where she is harassed and forced to jump at arbitrary expectations and told what she can and can't do with herself, let's just say "I know who I am now, I'm a loyal member of the armed forces and I will do my duty for my country" left a really random taste in my mouth... I couldn't be more surprised if a shounen fighting anime ended with a speech by the main character about the importance of compromising on your values. It's just not supported by the rest of what the story was building up...

And I was *really* enjoying that story, too, no matter how much of it was in my head. Plus it was cute, gorgeous, and funny at the same time.

C.) The chain of command is fucking useless if you already observed the first few people you should talk to are incapable of answering your questions. Why would I waste my time and theirs by asking for advice when it has been previously established these people don’t know how to do x when I could just ask the person who in theory should have the biggest accumulation of knowledge in regards to the topic I seek advice for? Obviously to me the answer is I shouldn’t waste their time and my time if I won’t get results. To majority of other people that’s not the obvious answer.

like jesus okay i’m basically anti war & certainly anti iraq & afghanistan and so i’m like 100% biased but this sort of television just. doesn’t make the military come off in any sort of good light. when television can’t come up with halfway decent justification for this shit that even me, as someone’s whose just studied law at the undergraduate level, can pick apart, it’s pretty pathetic. there are not justifications for war crimes & given both invasions were big fat war crimes, any sort of justification on television comes across as weak willed & pathetic.
