Mileage correction is the process of adjusting, recalibrating, or removing the mileage displayed on the dashboard of your digital speedometer. Most modern cars have an electronic dashboard with a digital speedometer display.
The goal of correcting the mileage on the odometer is to reflect the vehicle's true mileage. Have you ever wondered why people use a car mileage correction service to change the mileage of their vehicle?

not people saying "Babs was aged down so DC could pair her up with Dick" again
y'all. I cannot tell you how nonsensical this talking point is when Dick was still actively in a relationship with Kory when DC aged Babs down (a relationship that would not dissolve until 5 years later) and both characters had at least two other relationships between the age-down and them getting together in 2000

If you don't mind sharing, what brushes do you use? I totally agree with you on the oil painting thing; I've recently tried it after a lifetime of digital painting and the difference in colour mixing is mindblowing :s
YES, if you're one of those people who prefer traditional oil painting and hate how digital painting feels, this is what I've found to work the best for me so far (Procreate)
Tuhis Brush Sets - There's a couple of packs here and I just ended up downloading all of them, but if there's one brush you're going to use, the Ultimatebrush is FANTASTIC, there's ACTUAL PRESSURE SENSTIVE COLOR MIXING
I'm also a fan of the Vino Drybrushes, and Mumma Tempuras, those also feel very good to me

What does the odometer tell you and how much mileage is too high for a car in 2024?
Tumblr media
An odometer is an instrument in your car’s dashboard that contains useful information. It shows the total distance covered by an automobile. The odometer’s primary purpose is to display mileage, but it is not its only function. You can use the data from the odometer in various ways and significantly improve the car’s maintenance and safety.
Mechanical Odometer
Odometers come in two types: mechanical and digital. Let’s start with the mechanical odometer. Mechanical odometers are common in older automobiles. They are made up of gears, and their functionality depends on the gears that spin when a car begins to move. All the gears are linked, and moving one causes the others to revolve as well. When a car is in motion, the gears turn, changing the numbers on the odometer.
Mechanical odometers have been used to measure mileage in cars. However, this technology is not precise. As a result, current automobiles no longer rely on mechanical odometers and have adopted a more modern solution: digital odometers.
Digital Odometer
A digital odometer, also known as an electronic odometer, is an electronic device used in modern vehicles to measure and display the distance traveled. It uses sensors that detect the rotation of the wheels and send data to the computer. Each pulse represents a precise unit of distance, and the computer adds these pulses to provide an accurate reading.
For example, if you drive a car with a digital odometer from your house to the grocery store 10 miles away, the odometer will count the pulses caused by the wheel rotations and show “10 miles” on the dashboard. This enables drivers to keep track of their vehicle’s mileage for maintenance schedules and fuel efficiency monitoring.
Why is an odometer important?
An odometer is an essential part of a vehicle for several reasons. Its correct functioning influences maintenance, safety, and financial aspects. Still, why is the odometer important?
Maintenance Scheduling: It allows you to track mileage and plan routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections. Hence, you can be sure that the vehicle operates smoothly and safely.
Fuel economy: By measuring mileage, you can measure fuel economy over time. If you notice a rapid change in miles per gallon, this might indicate issues that need to be addressed.
Resale value: The numbers on the odometer have always influenced buyers’ final choices. Lower mileage often indicates less wear and tear, making the car more appealing. Consequently, people usually prefer to purchase a car with lower miles and make a decision based on this information.
Declarations: Accurate mileage records are required for official documents such as leasing agreements, insurance purposes, and tax deductions.
Tumblr media
What are the applications of odometers?
Odometers have been in use since ancient Rome, according to historical records. Inventor Vitruvius developed an instrument attached to chariots that dropped a pebble into a box for every mile driven. Today’s digital odometers are significantly more precise and reliable than earlier innovations. Nowadays, odometers have several applications:
Mileage Tracking: Odometers record the total distance driven by a vehicle. They track all the miles and show the information on the dashboard.
Maintenance Monitoring: An automobile’s odometer tracks overall mileage, which is crucial for monitoring wear and tear and scheduling routine maintenance.
Leasing Agreements: Odometers may assist you in monitoring mileage restrictions in leasing agreements. ensuring that drivers don’t exceed the permitted distance, which may result in extra fees.
Warranty Claims: Repairs are usually covered up to certain mileage. Hence, it’s crucial to know the exact distance that your vehicle has traveled.
Insurance Rates: Some insurance firms provide plans that determine rates depending on the distance driven using odometer readings.
Rental Car Monitoring: Rental car businesses use odometers to monitor usage and ensure vehicles are returned within agreed-upon mileage limitations. This allows them to control overall wear and tear.
Route Optimization: Logistic organizations monitor odometer data to assess and improve delivery routes, therefore lowering fuel costs and increasing efficiency.
Ride-sharing Services: To guarantee safety and dependability, ride-sharing companies such as Uber monitor the usage and maintenance requirements of their drivers’ vehicles using odometer readings.
What does the odometer tell you?
An odometer reading shows the total mileage driven by a vehicle. The odometer records all the miles the car travels and displays them on the dashboard. As a result, the odometer is constantly changing, and the number of miles indicated increases.
An odometer tells you how far the vehicle has gone since it was first used. For example, if a car’s odometer displays 100,000 miles, it means the vehicle has covered 100k miles since it was first placed into service. Understanding a vehicle’s usage history is essential for determining its general condition and any future maintenance requirements.
How to calculate mileage and mile per gallon (MPG) using an odometer?
Calculating miles using an odometer is simple and requires only a few steps:
Step 1. Note the Starting Odometer Reading
Take the odometer reading at the start of your trip or the period for which you wish to calculate miles. This will indicate the beginning of your adventure.
Step 2. Record the Ending Odometer Reading
At the end of your trip or at the specified interval, write down the odometer reading (record what the odometer shows at your final destination). This value represents the overall distance traveled during that time.
Step 3: Find the traveled distance
To find the distance covered, subtract the starting and ending odometer readings. The result is the total distance traveled in miles.
Step 4: Calculate the MPG
To calculate the MPG (miles per gallon), use the formula MPG = Total Distance Traveled / the amount of fuel consumed during that period. For example, if you traveled 400 miles and used 10 gallons of fuel, your MPG would be 400 miles / 10 gallons = 40 miles per gallon (MPG).
What is a good odometer reading for a car in 2024?
In 2024, determining a decent odometer reading for a car is dependent on a number of criteria. The most important of them are the vehicle’s age and maintenance history. In general, for new automobiles (less than 5 years old), a good odometer reading is less than 50,000 miles. This suggests little usage and maybe less wear and tear on the engine and other components.
For older automobiles (5-10 years), an odometer reading of 80,000 to 100,000 miles is regarded as fair, provided routine maintenance has been conducted. Beyond 10 years, a decent odometer reading might vary greatly depending on how well the vehicle has been maintained and used. Higher mileage vehicles can still be dependable if properly maintained, although purchasers may prefer odometer readings under 150,000 miles for older cars to ensure lifespan and fewer possible repair bills in the near future.
Good mileage in 2024 depends on various circumstances. However, the odometer showing between 10,000 and 12,000 miles is considered acceptable in 2024.
Is 100k miles too much for a car?
Although 100,000 miles is not high in modern cars, years ago, it was a watershed amount in vehicle valuations. If you drove a car for more than 100,000 miles, it was considered old or defective. However, this approach has changed radically, and technological progress has made a big contribution to this. Cars today are built to last 100,000 or even 200,000 miles without a problem.
The manufacturer, model, and history of maintenance all significantly impact the automobile. Modern vehicles may easily exceed 100,000 miles. Routine maintenance, periodic oil changes, and minor repairs may also dramatically increase a vehicle’s lifespan. Additionally, the style of driving and terrain are important.
For example, driving on a highway is frequently less damaging than driving in a city. Also, if you drove your car in rough terrain or on broken roads, it would harm its overall condition. But that is not all. Bad driving habits will substantially damage your vehicle. In such cases, driving correctly 100,000 miles on a freeway is far superior to having 50,000 odometer marks but the automobile was driven on difficult terrain and with poor driving habits.

Technological innovations in odometers
Technological advancements in odometers have significantly improved their accuracy and functionality.
Early mechanical odometers used gears and cables, which were prone to failure.
Electronic odometers use digital sensors and microprocessors for more accurate and reliable readings.
GPS-based odometers: Use satellite data to improve accuracy. Integration with Vehicle Diagnostics: Real-time monitoring and data collecting enable better maintenance scheduling and vehicle economy.
Blockchain Technology: provides safe and tamper-proof mileage data, minimizing odometer fraud.
What is a mileage blocker?
A mileage blocker is a modern, compact device that stops a car’s mileage record while driving. Hence, even while driving, your automobile won’t count new mileage. The mileage blocker is a special device as it doesn’t delete or remove any previously recorded distance. The SKF mileage blocker is distinguished by its untraceable performance. It prevents the system from storing mileage information in control units. Hence, no device or scanner tool can find an automobile’s actual mileage. It’s essential to remember that the blocker is created for car testing purposes and shouldn’t be used unethically. In addition, this highly efficient tool has installation guidelines, and you can install it yourself. It is available online and you can purchase the mileage blocker from the SuperKilometerFilter website. For any additional information, please visit the support page or reach the customer service department.
Takeaway
An odometer shows the total mileage a vehicle has covered throughout its lifespan and displays this information on the dashboard. The data is important for a variety of reasons, and if used appropriately, it may benefit car owners.

Weirdly therapeutic art activity I did earlier today! When u get The Guilt or something similar, you can write the words "The Guilt" or that sth similar on a drawing thing of some kind (painting, collage, game notes for 3ds, etc) and then cover up the entire area with symbols of your choice. I did eyes, and rotated through the three colors on game notes for 3ds. Then, after you can't see the original words and you want to stop, use some material or color you've not used at all (like the eraser tool, newspaper, or even bright orange paint if that's more your speed) to make a big, central symbol and write "It Will Be Ok" on the lines of the symbol or filling it in, your choice.
Here's my example :3

origins rated by how easily wyll could make them start saying yippee
astarion - 6/10. it would take a while, but i think he would do it sarcastically to make fun of wyll if he said it often enough. astarion will likely never yippee with the joyous abandon of a truly light heart, but i feel you could wring a semi-sincere one from him against his will
gale - 3/10. "but wait," i hear you say. "gale says silly shit all the time". correct. he says his own silly shit tho, not just any silly shit. hes a man with specific tastes, and quite frankly more of a "hurrah" sort
karlach - 10/10. she had likely yippeed several times before meeting wyll, and shes happier now more than ever. a playful woman who is actively hunting down ways to be happy is a perfect target for the yippee agenda
lae'zel - 9/10. wyll tells her its a triumphant exclamation (true) that many on faerun use as a battle cry (false). shes a curious woman and trying to be multicultural. her enemies are too busy choking on their own blood to say anything about how silly it is
shadowheart - 0/10. she is dignified and stubborn and the second she catches on to what wylls doing she makes one of her classic stank faces and resolves to never let him win. the stars will burn out before she gives wyll the satisfaction of a single yippee
(it goes without saying that wyll yippees every day of his life, but tbh i think he gets even more mileage out of a good huzzah)

The depressing thing about I/P is that it's shocking quite easy to take a stance on the matter without being viciously bigoted as hell, and yet people just swan-dived straight into vicious hatred and cruelty on pretty much the flip of a switch:
Netanyahu's government and Hamas are the main bad guys. The former because he was already a far-right wing crook who was in big trouble prior to all this, and now he's using the war to stay in power and out of jail. He's a genuinely evil man who needs to be in prison, and there are people within Israel trying to hold him accountable. Netanyahu absolutely detests Biden because the latter is less beneficial to him for his own cruel goals (Though justifiably your mileage may vary on Biden's actions and whether they're the right thing to do or not), and Netanyahu would greatly benefit from having Trump in power...which would be the exact opposite of helping Palestine.
Hamas is a terrorist organization being bankrolled by Qatar billionaires and who wouldn't hesitate to use Palestinians as cannon fodder for their goals. They aren't freedom fighters by any stretch of the imagination just because the government opposing them is led by an evil man and his far-right cronies, and regular Palestinians are being oppressed by them.
Both Israeli people and Palestinians have a long and complicated history that hasn't been resolved in centuries, and trying to pretend as outsiders that we somehow know the correct solution (of killing or driving out all of one side) is incredibly arrogant and extremely cruel, and basically turning two very diverse and complex peoples into props for our own ego trips.
Israel's and Hamas' governments have both committed immense atrocities and war crimes, and those involved DO need to be held accountable in order for a proper peaceful solution to exist, but that does NOT make their respective peoples responsible for their actions. So constantly trying to treat all Israeli and Jewish people as being responsible for genocide is stupid and grossly bigoted, especially given that in many other cases, we don't treat other nations who've committed similar crimes and evils the same way.
Likewise, Palestinians aren't people's personal props for their revolutionary fantasies or weirdly para-social guilt complex either; just because people in the West are deep in denial about their own nations' history of horrific mistreatment of minorities doesn't mean they get to turn two entirely different independent countries (with vastly different sociopolitical and racial histories) into a balm to sooth their own guilty consciences.
Like, this is still somewhat of a gross simplification, and feel free to correct me if I missed something, but it's still incredibly disturbing how many people can't seem to do this base level of thinking.
Nah you are so right anon

would you mind sharing your marc marquez likes you power ranking?
im still working it out in my minddddd… so. with the caveat that i am just saying words recreationally:
alex
HUGE gap
aleix has known him FOREVER. theyre complex but im throwin him here bc there arent many men on the grid marc would let ass-lift him to the moon
im gonna say. fabio. traded helmets. always friendly. also fabio LOVES HIM and marc will usually match someone's energy…. have they hung out much this year? no. but we always have TOMORROW
enea… maybe… he’s ALSO known him about ten years by now and enea is like. the contrarian of the italians. friendly little guys having gay brunch together as ive discussed… again marc WILL meet your energy and i think enea is just kind of a dreamy lil sweetie sometimes and he can leave stuff on track pretty well. marc appreciates that i would wager…
about on par with enea if MAYBE slightly under him depending on who we’re talking about are the rest of the spanish/catalan riders... he helmet traded with jorge martin last year, he was teammates with joan... i think mileage varies depending on how long hes known em but we can go ahead and group them under distantly friendly but bonded by place of origin. pedro not really a marc fan but also a child so he maybe drops a few places but not too far.
luca. true neutral. would be friendlier but the vale of it all prevents them from wearing joint turtlenecks to some event in like. cunty solidarity
diggia? needs further investigation
pecco. do i think hes UNfriendly no. do i think they could easily GET unfriendly absolutely. they dont super jive to each other's jokes, pecco was mean to alex like three weeks ago, they genuinely would rather crash than let the other pass, and there's the specter of vale's little legacy coloring every interaction. that being said i think they are both VERY invested in not having the media recognize it as an actual personal rivalry and could play a game of cards in an airport waiting lounge if pressed. pecco i think in particular has this gentlemen's duel perspective, but marc simply doesnt want to get asked about it every weekend until he dies... pecco ALSO likes to get a lil bitchy in presscons and i think marc doesnt like that lol. have some couth. anybody remember BYE BYE HONDA ? not endearing
franky. marc and alex have had an INSANE relationship this year with franky including like. rushing to his aid in a medical emergency and numerous racing incidents where franky was low key being a maniac with BOTH of them. lots of that. franky had been around the longest of the academy kids so he has enough context to keep his cards relatively close to his chest but i get the sense hes a little WISER than some of these other punks so hes kind of an x-factor. ranking him below pecco purely bc i dont think marc in particular takes kindly to alex slander lol sorry 2 my frankyalex queens you are correct but MARC. is stupid thx
jack miller. called marc a whiny princess or something about his arm surgery that marc ranks among the most traumatic events of his life. im guessing marc did not enjoy that.
bez. no quarter for this clown.

You guys do not want to go down the road of starting to make blanket declarations that specific ships are "problematic" and "triggering". And let me explain why.
ACOTAR fandom, in my experience, is notoriously very far removed from general fandom. It's big and dispersed across many platforms that weren't created around fandoms, and so a lot of people enter it having little to no experience in other fandoms.
This discourse about what is or isn't a problematic ship and what kind of person ships a couple like that is not new. Fandoms of yesterday yore have had long fights about this and a general consensus has emerged which is anytime you start playing the morality policing game around people having fun with fictional characters, everyone loses.
Let's take this situation with Elain Archeron Week which is explicitly banning submissions for Elain with characters who are canonically known to be abusive to a romantic partner. Generally, the spirit of character weeks are to be ship neutral and importantly a concept that has emerged from prior fandom morality policing debate is the term Ship and Let Ship. Which means just because something isn't YOUR ship doesn't mean you need to come up for reasons why it isn't CORRECT to ship.
So, you think it's morally incorrect and triggering for people to see Elain paired with an abuser or a "bad guy"? That is okay for your own personal beliefs but if you start making rules around it for something that is supposed to be inclusive where do you draw the line or what that means? How about pairing Elain with the guy who runs Night Court Abu Ghraib? A role that means he actually tortures people physically and mentally to the brink that they are forced to "confess" to crimes. Is that some how morally superior to another character who emotionally abused their partner and confined them to a house?
See. That didn't feel good. Now did it? Do you actually want to get into a discussion about which wrong is morally worse than the other? Especially when it concerns a character week that is supposed to be about positivity and people having fun because they love Elain and they love the different interactions she could potentially have with characters in fanon?
And that is the entire point. When it comes to fiction, we all will be seduced by characters who have done bad things. Things that will trigger people. But, and I mean this whole heartedly, no one else is responsible for your triggers but you. You are the only one who knows what you can and cannot handle. Your Mileage May Vary. Tumblr's tag filtering system is in part for this very reason because of how fandoms use tumblr.
When you have a fandom wide event space, generally it's a bad idea to start throwing up these judgmental rules around people's character interests and shipping habits. Of course, any event runner is entitled to do what they please. But you also have to expect those who are excluded or know people who will be excluded are going to have something to say about it.
I really think the entire ACOTAR fandom could benefit from getting curious for once and actually digging into the histories of fandom, fandom lore and vocabulary, and start learning from from fandom elders. If so, we'd all be able to navigate these situations with a shared language that recognizes that the primary goal of fandom is to have fun first. And everyone's fun is going to look different and each individual is responsible for deciding what their squicks and triggers are. And the whole point of a squick is to let someone know this thing bothers me personally but I understand if it doesn't bother you. That sort of back and forth empathy across each side is how fandoms don't burn down in flames and people don't feel shame about what they like in fiction.
Now any fandom event can make whatever rules they want. But what I already see is a bunch of people (e/riels) are now actually making posts about why others who ship Elain with Tamlin are morally inferior, disgusting, perverse, and bad people. But hear me out, someone can easily think and say the same thing about you and your ship and if that is the kind of environment you'd like to fuck around in, well, aren't we all the worse off for it.

Hey, so this isn't meant as advice for you, this is me asking if you have experience with trying a bit of advice I heard, and what your experience was with it? Basically I was told that two things that can help with migraines is soaking your feet in hot/warm water (possibly with ginger?) and to do breathing exercises where you exhale more than you inhale. Have you heard this advice before? Did you try it and if so, did it work for you? I get migraines pretty rarely but it's always so debilitating when they do happen and "go somewhere quiet and dark for 2 days" isn't always viable but is the only reliable method Ive had so far, but Id be down to try something like this if it has any validity to it?
I have tried them, and they have never worked for me. Alternating ice and heat directly over the pain helps me more (especially heat over my "trigger" eye), but usually, just so I can try to sleep through the pain, otherwise I'm going to be awake the whole 20+ hours, and that's never fun.
Your mileage may vary, and tbh, it's worth trying as they are fairly easy to do -- and who knows, you might get lucky and have "easy*" migraines that respond to deep breathing and soaking your feet.
For what it's worth, I've heard some people get more out of the foot-soaking thing by also putting a cold cloth/ice pack on the back of their neck. It helps aid with vasodilation and vasoconstriction, which can sometimes be a factor in migraines.
Aside from correcting my atypical binocular vision disorder with vision therapy and corrective tinted prisms, the biggest help I've had for my migraines has been from taking B2 supplements as recommended by my neurologist.
There's some evidence to show that taking 400mg of b2 for 3+ months can help lessen migraine intensity and perhaps even prevent them. Supposedly it works better if you also take magnesium.
I used to just take magnesium which is a common migraine "hack," but it never did much for me. Adding in the high dose of B2 was what finally made a difference. My migraines are still 20+ hours, but they're less painful, and I can be somewhat functional with them.
Obligatory: Talk to your doctor before starting any new medications, including supplements.
Good luck. I hope you find a solution that works for you.
---
*No migraines are easy, but some of us have harder-to-treat migraines that don't respond to "easy" solutions. Whenever someone asks me if I've tried deep breathing and Excedrin because it always works for them, I am both happy for them but also want to throttle them, lol.

Okay, so. In this house we respect science, and we love a good scientific answer. Which is why I have brought to the table two different definitions of the word "babygirl"
These are the definitions that I personally feel are the most accurate and correct (though your mileage may vary)

I will be using the first example
Babygirl-iness will be ranked by measuring (sadness + patheticness) vesus questionability. And after much research and thorough consideration, here is my answer:

I hope this helps

On Mahabharat and the Agency of Women in the epic
Tumblr media
If you saw me post the actual reply to this, no, you didn't. I'm so sorry, anon. I accidentally posted the unfinished draft. I will correct my mistake here. I am prefacing all the following words with: That's Just My Opinion, You're Allowed To Have Your Own Opinions.
There's a short answer and a long answer to this ask.
The short answer is: in my opinion, women didn't have a lot of agency. But they were still significant, in the sense that they are so central to the plot that the epic would not exist without the roles they play. If you take any one of them away, the story would be changed inexorably.
The long answer depends on what you would consider as "agency" and what version specifically you are thinking of.
I can talk about Sanskrit text that we have access to and is generally considered as the Original and True version(I don't agree with this and can go on a great big rant about this. In a different post, maybe.)
To lay the groundwork for my explanation, you have to remember how the current Sanskrit text came into being. Originally, the Mahabharat was part of the oral stories told by suta bards(who used to accompany kings into battles as their charioteers and after the battles, would recount the battle and tell glorified and embellished stories about it). It was only written down MUCH later(multiple centuries later) by some brahmins roughly around the time the Yajur Veda were being composed. The oral versions were only one quarter of the length of the written version. So during the writing portion we can assume they added a lot more stuff (which tracks because when you read it, you can clearly see the difference between the story plot beats and the brahminical morality propaganda bits) This context is important. Please keep this in mind.
The mahabharat is a historical document but not in the sense some people would have you believe. It's a document of SOCIAL history at the time it was composed.  It reflects the norms, laws and morality of the culture that they were composed and codified in.
As such, you have a story that is conflicted about how it feels about certain topics. Polyandry being one of them. It was probably a more common occurrence back in the ye old oral storytelling years. We see a lot of instances of women having multiple partners. And these instances are so intrinsically linked to the essence of the story that it's hard to get rid of them. Now we move forward to the time when it was being written down, where polyandry is frowned upon, if not outright forbidden, but you have the issue of Draupadi having five husbands being integral to the story. Hence, you have MULTIPLE attempts to reason it away. The incarnation reason, the five blessings reasons, the regenerating "virginity" etc. Those guys(the aforementioned Brahmin writers) were struggling to present her as a unique situation and make sure that we know that polyandry is NOT acceptable but in this one case, because of Special Divine Reasons, we have to let it slide.
Now we come to the "agency" part. That's a little more difficult because everyone has different mileage of what they consider to be as an active character.
What I can tell you is that we barely get any internality from the female characters in the Sanskrit text. There are a few scenes thrown in sporadically but they have an extreme case of "the writer doesn't view women as actual people". There's also the Stree Parva which, on paper, is all about the women and their grief after the war but even that sort of focuses all the attention on the men, both dead and alive(including their unborn male fetuses).
What matters when it comes to women, according to the epic, are their bodies. Both in the sexual and reproductive contexts. Women are always described by their external appearance(mostly their hips and thighs) and by extensions, their sexuality. (I've lost count of how many times a mysterious wind will strip a woman completely naked so that a bunch of men can stare at her or worse, EJACULATE upon seeing her. They even did that shit to Ganga and she's GANGA. Divine river goddesses are not immune to this shit trope.) Women will often be abducted for marriage and it's just considered as a kshatriya norm of the time. There are multiple instances of being compared to empty containers(bags or fields) for a man's seed(semen). And ironically, they consider the children as copies of the father alone and that there is nothing of the mother in the said children. (This obviously reflects how society at the time was obsessed with the patrilineal lines of succession to maintain patriarchy and control over land and wealth.)
Most of the rare instances of women having some power and agency in the epic come from these two contexts, i.e. having some control over the sexual access of men over their bodies OR having control over their children.
Women didn't typically have rights to succession to the land, wealth and property of their family. In fact, in Chitrangada's case, who does succeed the kingdom after her father this is considered a rare and unique case worthy of note.
This is not to say that the female characters of the Mahabharat aren't interesting or strong. I'm merely telling you how the Sanskrit text narrative treats these characters because of the writers' own biases and viewpoints.
Beyond the Sanskrit text, you have many other versions who will often expand upon the roles of the women. Some regional Mahabharats delete or add scenes according to their own norma. A lot of folk stories breathe life and dimensionality to these women by giving them more to say. Multiple famous plays over the year have given a more gentle and kind touch to the female characters of the cast of this epic.
In the modern contemporary context, everyone is obsessed with writing a feminist retelling(the success of just how feminist said retellings are is a different matter entirely).
If you do find any fault in how active the characters are, the blame often lies at the hand of the storyteller rather than the character themselves.
(P.S. Before anyone gets furious and starts typing an angry anon about how women were "considered goddesses and therefore it means that they had a lot of power", I want to remind everyone that deification often reduces the figure into an inhuman entity and isn't as far from objectification as you would like to think.)
