I really want to write about Itachi finding happiness as a stay-at-home parent, but told through the perspective of everyone around him.
Mikoto torn between her elation that her eldest son has finally done something he wanted, and the existential horror of being a grandmother at 40. She watches him take everything about child rearing in stride, not with the stoicism that she's so used to seeing on him, but with a little gentle smile. It's almost ironic that now, as an adult with their own child, Itachi feels younger than ever.
Shisui surprises himself with his bittersweet feelings. He's elated that Itachi has carved a life for himself that actually makes him happy, because there's no one more than him who understands how much the shinobi lifestyle was killing the natural born pacifist. But he doesn't feel that he can ever escape in the same way, and losing the person who was taking that journey beside him has made him feel surprisingly lonely. He will be the first to admit though that he'd rather face 200 furious Iwa shinobi than deal with the horrific nappy blowouts he's seen Itachi have to face.
Kakashi catching sight of Itachi at the market, almost a year after he resigned from the shinobi, with a tiny baby strapped to his chest. It feels very strange at first, watching someone who was almost as entrenched in that life as he has always been, escaping to raise children. But Kakashi can't deny that Itachi looks brighter and lighter than he's ever seen him. He still navigates the crowd with the grace of a shinobi, but there's a spark in his eyes that Kakashi is surprised didn't die many years ago.
Sasuke, despite having been wholly and vocally against Itachi's retirement and 'having a baby' fiasco, having to begrudgingly admit that Itachi did seem different, and not in a bad way. He's smiling more, something that Sasuke didn't notice he did so infrequently before until confronted with him as he is now. He's offering to train Sasuke more, cooking him dinner, inviting him over. In many ways, they are closer than ever before. It's still weird that Itachi gave up the career that sasuke wants more than anything, it's still weird that he has an actual baby human person now, but... maybe it's nice too, not that he'll ever admit it out loud.

Hello! could you write john x socially awkward reader
ā€œI TELL HIM THAT HE'S PRETTY TOO, CAN I SAY THAT? I DON'T HAVE A CLUE!ā€
Tumblr media
authors note Ā» I LOVE LAUFEY. but i love john more <3 i think this is my first request for him. thank you anon!!! I'MBR3ALLY SORRY YHIS IS LATE I HAVE HAD SUCH A BUSY MONTH
content warnings Ā» he's a little ignorant but he is doing his best. romantic relationship. reader and john visit a bar, alcohol consumption implied. other than that its safe but lmk if i missed anything !! john is a lovesick loser
Tumblr media
John thinks you are the most adorable little thing in this universe.
He's a little confused, i mean ā€” can't you just talk...? he doesn't get it, mainly because everyone he has had any close relationship with (read: mikoto and mido) has had no problems socialising, but he'll do his best for you anyway !!
Recently, his favorite hobby has been teasing you to hell and back whenever he gets the chance. He just thinks your awkward self is so, so cute when you're flustered <3
but hes not an asshole, he's gonna try to help you out whenever he can.
he orders your food for you at resteraunts, brings you along whenever he goes to parties and does most of the talking for you so you "learn how to not embarrass yourself" when its your turn ā€” that being said, he will laugh if you start fidgeting while you're talking.
he's not laughing at you, he would never. its just that, he thinks you're cute.
Tumblr media
f/d = favorite drink/drink of choice.
John was trying so hard to not laugh at the scene in front of him.
Every Friday or so, you both would visit a local bar. It was your idea, he needed a way to relieve stress ā€” and you didn't mind accompanying him ā€” even if it probably wasn't good for him to be drinking that much. When you did go with him, you'd usually just get yourself a non-alcoholic drink or something light. By that i mean John orders it for you.
On this specific day, he thought it would be funny to let you do it yourself for once.
He watched as you stammered your way through, trying to explain to a very confused bartender what you wanted. It was simple, but it was cute watching you complicate it like that. Bastard.
Eventually, he took mercy on you.
With a sly smile on his face, he creeped behind you, snaking an arm around your shoulders and said in the calmest voice imaginable ā€”
"They meant they'd have a f/d, please. Thank you for your time."
He patted your shoulder softly, it was his way of saying "nice effort!". He glanced at you, a knowing yet gentle smirk on his face as he watched your reaction to it.
Just what would you do without John to protect you?

Milgram 4th Anniversary Art Analysis Part 2/3: Haruka, Es and Yuno
Haruka
Tumblr media
Haruka's pose sort of reminds me of Mikoto's, but it's a little looser, less organised. Similarly to Mikoto, he doesn't want to come across as a threat ā€” wants to appear open ā€” but he doesn't quite get it right. Like Mikoto and Shidou, his suit is fully done up. His tie is a little loose too, but I'd hazard that it's because he doesn't know how tight it should be, or hasn't noticed. His pose is largely open but one leg is still slightly bent and he's facing sideways ā€” subtly somewhat mirroring Muu's pose, just as he does in his Trial 2 sprite art. I think the way he is holding his bouquet, in front of himself and upside down, mirrors the way he is largely quite open about and accepting of his crime, but also him as a person in the sense that he is blatantly unconventional and takes an unusual and confusing approach to things. The flowers in his bouquet are actively slipping out of it, falling on the floor, but he either doesn't care or hasn't noticed, perhaps reflecting how he has a sort of reckless approach to things and often ends up inadvertently causing damage and chafing against the status quo. He seems to know more or less how he should hold the bouquet but manages to bluntly get it the wrong way around. His hold isn't quite as secure as Mikoto's, though similar ā€” as if he wants to similarly come across as unproblematic but isn't really sure how. He's the only male prisoner smiling with his mouth open, but his smile is sort of uncomfortable and awkward, coming across as more nervous than genuinely at ease. There's a visible small gap in the wrapper of his bouquet, which Amane's also seems to have. This is interesting to me. I'm not entirely sure what it represents...perhaps some sort of metaphorical 'crack' in their lives or their relationships with their victims, since, at least as far as I'm concerned, they were both family members?
Es
Tumblr media
Es' demeanour is very much in fitting with their Buddhist monk garb. At first glance I wondered if their hand gesture was perhaps a Buddhist mudra, but it doesn't seem to resemble any in particular that I came across. They are wearing a Japanese Buddhist monk's regalia, complete with yukata and kasaya, as well as traditional tabi-style (thonged) shoes. It's as though they are the officiator of the funeral that everyone is dressed up to attend, which is quite fitting ā€” as, in a way, it's their duty to put the souls of the victims to rest. Meanwhile, I believe Jackalope's outfit is more in line with the attire of a Shinto monk or clergyman. It's sort of hard to tell, but the hat at least is much more in line with Shinto clothing.
Yuno
Tumblr media
Yuno's pose is open and relaxed, much like her attitude to her supposed crime. She's been quite open and blunt about it from the start, after all. Her outfit is a tidy school uniform, a lot like what she wore in her first music video. Like Shidou, she holds her bouquet a bit like a baby, similarly very much in view of the spectator and without pretence, but she doesn't seem quite as concerned with trying to properly support its weight as he does, and I think her pose is overall less personal and more detached ā€” like she's only holding the 'baby' in passing. It doesn't feel like she feels any particular tethering to the 'baby' or her supposed crime. Instead, one hand, while still technically supporting the first, also holds her own arm ā€” perhaps as if to unconsciously seek warmth and support for herself ā€” a bit like the way Yuno supports and comforts herself in her Trial 2 music video. This pose also sort of feels to me like her way of perhaps creating a pastiche of how society expects her to be ā€” the gentle and polite picture of a youthful mother which she so adamantly rejects.

chapter ā€” 2 of 5
pairing ā€” itasaku
summary ;
in which sakura is the daughter of samurai, and itachi is the son of farmers.
āŠ¹
The first week or so passed by rather uneventfully.Ā
Itachi falls into the routine of summer that has sat in his bones for years. Wake up at dawn, water and harvest their crops, feed the livestock, have dinner with his family, try and get some reading in on the engawa, sleepā€¦ his days were busy, but he liked that.
Sakura slipped into life at the Uchiha farm like a fish to water, existing on the edge of his vision. She routinely patrolled their fields and orchards, following a schedule only she seemed to know, but would sometimes take on a few manual tasks around the house.
Mikoto would ask her to lug a barrel of water or load a particularly heavy crate onto their cart, and Sakura would easily complete the task.Ā
Itachi thinks she likes being busy, like him, as her eyes will always light up a bit, and her mouth will quirk with a small smile whenever Mikotoā€™s airy ā€œSakura-chan?ā€ rings through their halls.
His first notable encounter with her happens nine days after her arrival, something that still makes a light pink tinge ruddy the tops of his cheekbones. It was probably an inconsequential interaction for Sakura, which made it all the more embarrassing.Ā
----------------------------------------------------------------
Itā€™s a very windy day, the kind that swirls leaves and dirt around their courtyard. Itachi was leaving the main house around midday when an especially harsh gust of wind blew some debris into the doorway he was standing in. He mumbled a curse, already annoyed at the thought of cleaning up the living room that his mother had just done a deep clean of the day before.
As he went to pull the shoji door shut, it simply refused to budge. Itachi tried shaking it left and right, shifting it up and down to loosen it, but it didnā€™t move an inch.
The screen was still stuck; another gust of wind blew more leaves into the hallway, and Itachi grunted in irritation.Ā
ā€œMay I?ā€
Itachi turned sharply at the sound of Sakuraā€™s voice. She stood just off the engawa, looking unbothered by the wind that whipped her hair around her face. Her usual haori was missing, leaving her arms bare in the short-sleeved kimono top she wore.
She stepped closer, her eyes briefly meeting his before focusing on the stuck shoji door.
ā€œIf you would like,ā€ Itachi murmured, moving aside to not crowd the smaller woman. The dulled scent of yuzu and jasmine filled his nose, evidence that she had recently come from their bathhouse. He pointedly ignored the strands of damp pink hair that clung to the back of her pale neck.
Sakura examined the door frame briefly, then placed her hands on the screen and gave it a gentle push and pull. With a small, decisive motion, she dislodged whatever was causing the stoppage, and the door slid smoothly shut.
The smooth muscles of her arms flexed subtly as she moved, drawing Itachiā€™s eyes for a split second before he forced himself to look away before the heat climbing his chest reached his face. It was apparent why the manual labor Sakura did around the property was so unchallenging for her.
It was an effortless gesture, and he couldnā€™t help but feel a bit embarrassed by his inability to fix something as simple as a stuck door.
ā€œThank you,ā€ he said, trying to keep his voice even. He tested the screen and found it slid back and forth perfectly uninterrupted.
Sakura turned to him with a small smile, her eyes crinkling slightly at the corners. ā€œNo problem. Sometimes it just needs a particular touch.ā€
Her tone had a playful lift to it, and Itachiā€™s grip on the shoji frame tightened slightly.
Before he could respond, another gust of wind swept through the courtyard, blowing a flurry of leaves around them. A strand of pink hair fluttered across her face, and Sakura brushed it away with the back of her hand, eyes still fixed on him.
ā€œYouā€™re always so tense, Itachi-san,ā€ she said softly, her smile widening just a fraction. ā€œYou should relax more.ā€
He didnā€™t have an immediate response to that. Relaxing wasnā€™t something that came naturally to him; always rushing around with chores to do and tasks to complete. It certainly wasnā€™t something he expected to hear from someone like her, whose own strength and discipline mirrored his in many ways. He hadnā€™t exactly seen her lay back and put her feet up.
Itachi said as much to her (more politely, of course), but she only laughed breezily. He felt a little embarrassed once more.
Sakura stepped back, her gaze lingering on him for a moment longer before she turned to leave. ā€œAnyway, if you ever need help again, just ask,ā€ she added over her shoulder, voice light.
ā€œAnd I find dusk to be a rather suitable time to relax.ā€ That teasing tone laced her words again.
Itachi watched her retreating form, the sway of her steps, the quiet confidence of her posture. He wasnā€™t sure when he had started noticing these little things about her.
The smell of yuzu and jasmine still hung in the air, a gossamer of Sakuraā€™s warmth that hung around his shoulders.Ā
Itachi ignored the strange thrum of anticipation in his chest as he entered the house.

Neverending Love
Mikototsu and their love.. Man, oh man, imagine having the kind of love they have. That real, everlasting, forever, love.
In sickness and in health. In life and in death. Nothing could keep them apart, not even death itself. When they met as boys, little did they know just how much they would come to mean to one another -- they didnā€™t just the mean the world to each other, no, they are the world to each other. Mikoto and Totsuka are each otherā€™s very breath, their very heart that keeps beating to make sure the other stays alive.
Totsuka is the light that chases away the darkness of Mikotoā€™s mind. Mikoto is the flame that keeps Totsuka fighting for the hope of their future. Without one, the other is incomplete. They are two-halves of a whole. Without both, they are nothing.
Their actions speak louder than words, as they arenā€™t very verbal until theyā€™re in bed. Mikoto has never been as gentle as he is with Totsuka, holding him as if heā€™s the most precious thing in the world -- which he is, to Mikoto. Totsuka loves looking into those fiery eyes and every expression that flickers across them, and he loves holding Mikotoā€™s face in his hands as their eyes linger and says all they need to say without words: I love you.
When itā€™s not the two of them, they arenā€™t extremely explicit. But itā€™s the look that says it all. The lingering shared gaze, the eyes that would flicker to the otherā€™s lips, the smallest little touches that are soft and hold a love that is bigger than the universe itself. The way Mikoto smiles and closes his eyes as he listens to Totsuka sing, even enjoying the way he would ramble about his different hobbies that change every week. The way Totsuka has him wrapped around his little finger. He would burn the world for Totsuka, but he would also allow it to live for Totsuka if the other willed it. Anything to see him happy.Ā
When they kiss, theyā€™re so tender, they hold eachother so gently yet so desperately as if the other were the very air needed to continue breathing. Their lips move together as if pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly only to each other with no room for any other pieces. The way Mikoto cups the back of Totsukaā€™s head, the way Totsuka cups Mikotoā€™s cheeks, the way they just touch eachother. Nothing but unending, everlasting love.
And if one of them were to die? Well, the entire world would just burn alongside them.

So, what if postROK Sarumi are cuddling in their apartment, maybe half asleep on the couch after a long day and Saruhiko sees Mikoto's ghost? Or maybe even vice versa and Misaki sees Munakata's ghost?
Well thatā€™s one way to kill the mood XD Poor Fushimi, stuck as the only one who can see Mikotoā€™s ghost when he just wants to snuggle with Misaki. Imagine this post-ROK, theyā€™ve made up and are officially dating and everything is going well. Fushimiā€™s almost finding himself able to relax around Yata, almost able to believe that maybe nothing will be destroyed this time and he can really be with Misaki for good now. One day theyā€™ve both been busy at work and end up just cuddling together on the couch, with Fushimi on the outside. Yata falls asleep and Fushimiā€™s just drifting off when he thinks he can smell cigarettes. He opens his eyes sleepily and then focuses them on Mikoto, standing right there in the middle of the apartment, and promptly falls off the couch.
This wakes Yata, who blearily asks whatā€™s wrong. Fushimi points wordlessly and Yata looks right at Mikoto as he says he doesnā€™t see anything. Fushimi pauses and then clicks his tongue, muttering ā€˜bad dreamā€™ and tells Yata to go back to sleep, heā€™s going to run to the bathroom and wash his face. Even after splashing his face with water a few times Fushimi still sees Mikoto there and imagine after the shock wears off heā€™s just so irritated about this, like why the fuck am I being haunted by you. Mikoto shrugs and says he has no idea either, he just ended up here. Fushimi finds himself feeling suddenly protective as he reaches out to touch the sleeping Misaki, like weā€™re together and we donā€™t need you so go away. Mikoto blows smoke and says thatā€™s good, Yataā€™s been waiting for him to figure it out for a while. Fushimi grumbles that donā€™t act like you know him better than me and Mikoto shrugs, wondering if Fushimiā€™s so confident whyā€™s he clinging to Yata like his life depends on it.
Fushimi gets this sullen look and mumbles that itā€™s all Mikotoā€™s fault ā€” nothing would have changed if it wasnā€™t for him. Mikoto looks at Fushimi plainly and wonders if Fushimi really believes that, seems to Mikoto that Fushimi just needs someone to blame. Fushimiā€™s fists clench and he says thatā€™s why he hates Mikoto, Mikoto shrugs again and says thatā€™s fine, Fushimi can hate him if he wants. Fushimi grumbles that Mikoto is always like that, like he doesnā€™t care whoā€™s in his clan at all, and Mikoto says if thatā€™s what Fushimi thinks he wonā€™t argue ā€” but he wonders what Fushimiā€™s clinging so hard for, if thatā€™s what he believes. Fushimi sinks into silence and finally he softly says it was easier, to hate Mikoto instead of himself. Mikoto gives him an unexpectedly gentle smile and puts a ghostly hand on his head, he said it before didnā€™t he: Fushimiā€™s fine the way he is. Stop trying so hard to be other people, and heā€™ll be fine. Fushimi looks up and without meaning to heā€™s like ā€˜Mikoto-san,ā€™ Mikoto waves to him and tells him to take care of Yata as his ghost fades away to nothing.
Reverse situation, imagine AU where Munakata died at the end of ROK and a bunch of stuff has happened in the aftermath but Fushimiā€™s doing better now and he and Yata are together. Theyā€™re cuddling sleepily on the couch when Yata sees Munakataā€™s ghost and heā€™s immediately yelling in surprise. Fushimi wakes up all annoyed and fussy, grumbling at Yata to stop making so much noise. Yataā€™s stammering out ā€˜S-Saruhiko ā€” over there ā€” thatā€™sā€”ā€. Fushimi irritably looks up, straight at Munakata (who smiles fondly) and then says thereā€™s nothing, telling Yata to be quiet and go back to sleep. Yata stammers out that heā€™s gonna get a drink heā€™ll be right back and makes a run for the kitchen.
Munakataā€™s ghost serenely follows and imagine Yata trying to yell at Ghost!Munakata without Fushimi waking up. Munakata has no idea why heā€™s a ghost or why only Yata can see him, however he is pleased to see Fushimi doing well. Yata says darkly that Munakata doesnā€™t get to talk about that ā€” does he know what he put Saruhiko through, dying like that while Fushimi was down risking his life in jungle. Munakata says it was a regrettable outcome but he accomplished his own duty and ensured that Fushimi survived, so he cannot be too displeased. Yata tells him to shut up, like did you even think about Saruhiko and your other people when you died, and Munakata gives him a frank look as he wonders if Yata would say such a thing to Suoh Mikoto as well.
Yataā€™s mouth snaps shut and heā€™s like y-yeah, well, that was different this is Saruhiko ā€” but he canā€™t really argue, and he knows it. Munakata regards him curiously and then tells Yata that he has Munakataā€™s thanks, for rescuing Fushimi and for helping him recover in Munakataā€™s absence. Yata awkwardly says he only knew where Fushimi was because Munakata told him, and that this Saruhiko is different from when they were in middle school but itā€™s not bad, itā€™s getting betterā€¦and as much as Yata hates it, and while Yata wonā€™t forgive Munakata for leaving Saruhiko behind like this, for helping Fushimi get to this point Yata has to thank Munakata. Munakata laughs quietly at that, saying his part is over but he will entrust the rest to Yata as he slowly fades away.Ā

hello Tumblr today I offer you a little haruka hikaru drabble I wrote because I got bored
I apologize in advance for possible bad english, cringe or ooc, but ultimately I am free.
Summary: inno Haruka and Hikaru have a talk.
CW: SH, unalive thoughts, toxic view of relationships ?? (for Hikaru and their bf), and a lot of negative thoughts
Tumblr media
Everything inside MILGRAM has been difficult lately. Fights, stress from some, relief from others. The albino had observed how their companions, even some they considered friends, isolated themselves after being found as guilty. After their trial, they expected the same for themself. If people like Mikoto and Mahiru, whom they admired so much, werenā€™t forgiven, then there was no hope for them. They were the worst of them all.
Or at least that's what they thought.
The wait became endless. They expected to spend nights unable to sleep, hearing those voices affirming their thoughts; that they were unforgivable, that this is what they deserved, that nothing they could do could fix their mistakes. Even if the thought terrified them, they could do nothing but wish for that reaffirmation. But it never happened. The environment went from bad to worse, several prisoners fighting with each other, some prisoners becoming closer. Hikaru was disconnected from all of that. Their days were limited to questioning that strange serenity they felt, and the dissonance caused by them being forgiven.
They were watching Hikaru, and they were judging Hikaru. If they knew what Hikaru did, if they were as transparent as possible, why not condemn them? Why make others suffer, if theyā€™re way worse? After all, this tranquility, this silence, it was something they didnā€™t deserve. But still, it had been so hard for them... Getting a little support didn't sound so bad after all. Their nails dug into their wrists, trying to sort out their confused feelings. Their mind spins incessantly with unnerving thoughts, the physical pain keeping them a little aware of their surroundings to avoid completely sinking. Kazuto was no longer there and it was their fault, someone as pure, as perfect as only he could be. Someone who made them suffer so much. But, after all, it was their fault for making mistakes... After all, everything would be better if only...
The whirlwind of words was interrupted by a gentle touch on the door, followed by a sweet voice that made Hikaru startle.
ā€œUm, Hikaru-san...ā€ the blue-haired boy peeked through the cell door, slightly hunched. His hands squeezed tightly at the metal, fearing the other prisoner's reprimand ā€œI was thinking that, uh... I haven't seen you much lately... Outside your cell, I mean...ā€
He forced a small smile, and the albino felt their heart sink. Why did he have to worry about them? They squeezed their eyes shut tightly to repress tears, and sighed deeply.
"...Iā€™m sorry for that" they managed after a few seconds, still sitting on the floor of their cell. When they finally dared to look him in the face, he noticed his somewhat different appearance; two cute pins adorned his hair, and for the first time didnā€™t seem embarrassed by eye contact. Hikaru sighed, unable to do anything but smiling at the adorable sight. ā€œI can go out in a while, if you want... It's been a while since we talked.ā€
"You don't have to go out f-for me..." he replied, fidgeting with his fingers and feeling a little selfish. It was obvious just by looking at Hikaru's tired face that they were not in the best mood. But still, he couldn't help but seek their company "Maybe I can keep you company for a while...?" he suggested in a lower voice, taking shy steps forward. It was the same old Haruka.
"Of course," Hikaru tilted their head, smiling back at him. Even if it was something so simple, this detail had already served to make them feel better. ā€œI see you changed your style a little.ā€
Hikaruā€™s confirmation was all Haruka needed to hurry up and sit beside them, hugging his knees, a habit he couldn't let go of.
"Ah, yes... The others often tell me that lately. It makes me happy, to have changed" his words came out in a hurry from his mouth, almost fearful of leaving a second of silence "The pins were a gift from Muu-san. Sheā€™s very kind to me..." he added somewhat embarassed, rummaging through his memories to tell something interesting "Um, and... Lately Kotoko-san has hurt other prisoners. Itā€™s scary, but the guard said they were bad people..."
At the mention of physical punishment, Hikaru frowned, sighing and letting their head fall back. The thought that the others were having a hard time saddened them, but at the same time they couldn't help thinking that they were saved from that... Which made them feel even worse.
"That's horrible..." they murmured after a few seconds, studying Haruka from top to bottom "But Haru-kun was forgiven, right?"
Haruka nodded energetically, his eyes shining at the idea. Being validated by MILGRAM after being ignored and reproached for so long... He had never felt something like that. It was overwhelmingly good.
"Well, at least the guard made a good decisionā€ they said without thinking too much about it, looking at the floor in shame ā€œI'm glad someone is taking care of you. I'm sorry for, um... Not having talked to you lately. I think... I was also forgiven.ā€
"Hikaru-san...!" Haruka's eyes widened, surprised. Hikaru was isolating himself like the prisoners who were found guilty, so he expected the worst. His hands took Hikaru's, forcing him to meet his gaze, eliciting a gasp from the albino "The guard forgave you too! S-So, Hikaru-san... Please don't be so sad. You didn't do anything wrong, after all."
The blue-haired boy did his best to comfort his friend, but after all he couldnā€™t understand how someone could be so upset after being validated like he was. Hikaru's expression remained frozen in surprise, and then they lowered they head, feeling their cheeks burn with embarrassment.
"I don't think it's that easy for me..." they whispered, unable to meet Haruka's intense gaze. "Haru-kun, you... " they tried to find out the words that could express the complex knot of thoughts they had in his brain, but nothing came out of his mouth. They sighed, leaning forward a little to rest their head on Harukaā€™s chest, their hands clinging to his sweater. It was selfish from them, they knew it, but at the same time they wanted to treasure that feeling. The comfort that was being offered to them. Haruka tensed at the contact, totally unsure about what to do. It was probably the first time in years someone was so close, leaning on him in this way... It made him feel important. His trembling lips managed to form a nervous smile after a couple of seconds, keeping his arms at his sides without daring more ā€œā€¦Iā€™ts okay, I guess. Maybe if it's you saying that, I can accept it. Who knows~ā€
"Ah, um..." Haruka was still shaking, suddenly feeling incapable of formulating a coherent sentence. He remained silent for a few minutes, letting Hikaru enjoy the closeness. It was somehow comforting in a way, but he couldn't point out why. His hands anxiously opened and closed, not daring to move. After carefully thinking his words, he whispered; ā€œ...Do you feel better now?ā€
When Hikaru heard his voice again, they opened their eyes, becoming self-aware of what they did. Embarrassed for their own actions, they let go of the hug and scooted away a bit, unable to look him in the face.
"I'm sorry, I got carried away..." but even if they apologized, they couldn't stop a sigh that came from their lips, curving to smile too ā€œI'm feeling... much better now!ā€

Sasuke thought it was weird when he saw the usual hawk eyes on him with less killing intent behind him.Ā
ā€˜What was his name again?ā€™ he thought as his family passed the stoic man and entered the onsen-ji.Ā
His mother oohed and ahhed as they stepped into the foyer. His father looked around the entrance hall with a meticulous eye. The Hyuuga kept the onsen-ji traditional in a sense that one would think they never advanced past the Meiji era. Sasuke watched him warily, almost ready to jump to defend Hinata if unfavorable judgment passed his lips.
ā€œIt is quite beautiful inside,ā€ he father remarked.Ā
"Isn't it? Oh, I'm so glad I picked it. We'll have a wonderful time!" his mother gushed.Ā
ā€œUchiha-san, welcome,ā€ the stoic man they passed earlier greeted them. ā€œI am Ko, at your service.ā€Ā
ā€˜Ah, thatā€™s it. Ko. The other bodyguard.ā€™ Sasuke stared at him while Ko regarded him with a small nod.Ā
ā€œHinata-sama sends her well-wishes. She is acting in her fatherā€™s stead at a conference and wonā€™t be able to see you during your stay, Mikoto-san.ā€Ā
A small pout formed on his motherā€™s face. ā€œIt is quite alright, Ko-san. Please send Hinata my regards.ā€Ā
Sasuke studied the expression on his motherā€™s face as she spoke amicably with Hinataā€™s bodyguard about the onsen-jiā€™s interior and architecture. His father hummed every so often as they carried their conversation away from the foyer. She was upset, understandably. She saw Hinata as a daughter-figure and had hoped to see her during their visit.Ā
He knew Hinata wouldnā€™t be at the onsen-ji during his familyā€™s vacation. She apologized profusely the day she found out she had to attend the conference.Ā
ā€˜Father wants me to go. He thinks itā€™ll help me have a better understanding of marketing and management for the future of the onsen-ji.ā€™Ā
The corners of his lips slightly dipped at the thought of the Hyuuga clan head. Sasuke inwardly scoffed. ā€˜Of course, he would.ā€™ The shift in Sasukeā€™s demeanor was minute but it was enough for his brother to nudge him as Ko led his family to their suite.Ā
ā€œChin up, little brother,ā€ Itachi smirked. ā€œThe conference will be over before you know it.ā€Ā
Sasuke swiftly turned his head, refusing to let his brother see the growing blush on his face. ā€œTch. I know.ā€Ā
ā€”
The weekend spent at the onsen-ji seemed to pass by slowly. From the moment he opened his eyes in the morning til the moment they closed at night, everything reminded him of the lack of Hinata's presence. And try as Ko and the older aunts might, they couldn't replace her.Ā
Without fail, the older aunts of the onsen-ji offered him onigiri whenever he passed by and even Ko brought out a few tomatoes from Hinata's personal garden. He was touched that Hinata thought of him, even when she was busy herself.Ā
Sasuke fell back on his bed. His mind raced back to their families' impromptu meeting.
'How can I initiate a merger?'

MysMe and their Best ShinyMas girls
Niche crossover made for me myself and I (in hopes of maybe convincing more people to get into Idolmaster Shiny Colors)
Yoosung would produce Chiyoko! Chiyoko is a cheerful, kind girl who does not think she's particularly interesting. She's insecure about being too "normal", and I think Yoosung would relate to that as he expresses such concerns about being the only "plain" member of the RFA. Chiyoko brands herself as the "chocolate idol" (because her name sounds like Choco), and she's a good cook to match her brand! She's also quite observant of her friends and is reliable! I think Yoosung would want to support someone like her and help her shine!
Tumblr media
Zen is either going to produce Mikoto out of kinship or out of spite. Mikoto loves idols with her whole heart and cannot imagine a life where she is not an idol. She started training as a teenager, and she has more memories of idol lessons than of high school. She had a rocky start but found a second chance at 283 Productions. Zen would see himself in this workaholic, and whether he'd love or hate to see that... well, his narcissism is all a facade, so Mikoto may force him to face the qualities of himself that he's insecure about.
Tumblr media
Jaehee knows that her oshi in real life is Zen, but for a game? She'd be a fan of Sakuya. Aside from her princely appearance and behavior that makes girls swoon (in the game and among players), Sakuya is a hard-working, cool, independent girl who wants to make others smile. She's not always good at relying on others, and I think Jaehee would acknowledge and relate to that. Sakuya is the common sense among the quirky L'antica idols, but she will play along in their antics! Maybe like... a silly taco song...?
Tumblr media
707 is usually the type to prefer quirky or cat-themed idols, but once he spots twins with red hair and gold eyes? Oh, he's done for. He's an OsakiP, but he's especially fond of Tenka. He loves how she tries her best and pushes to be stronger even with her severe depression, and he also adores Amana for being supportive and always eager to help. He can't help but think of Saeran, even though Tenka is the older twin; helping her bloom makes Saeyoung feel like his choices can help Saeran thrive one day, too. He only produces the twins together! When it's Tenka, then Amana is in the first support spot. They do Fes together and jobs together. He will NOT separate them!
Tumblr media
Jumin is definitely a NatsuhaP! He has major respect for her, because even though she comes from a wealthy family, she wants her accomplishments to be in HER name from HER effort! She works hard to live up to her name. Jumin takes that to heart. He can't help but think HCG is a tad similar to the RFA, too.
Tumblr media
V finds himself producing Madoka. He isn't sure how it happened, but he actually knows exactly how it happened and doesn't want to admit so. Madoka is blunt and straightforward, and she is fiercely loyal to her friends, going to great lengths to ensure they are safe and comfortable. He can't help but be reminded of a certain someone. However, Madoka is also... quite harsh with her Producer, going so far as to curse him and say she hates him. V... well, V's self-hatred speaks for itself.
Tumblr media
Ray is undoubtedly going to produce Mano. How can he not? She's sweet as sugar and gentle as can be. She's content making friends with birds and soaking up sun in a park. Her self-confidence isn't great, but Ray would be eager to show her how much he cares about her, far more than anyone else can. He'd want to protect her shy, genuine innocence... by any means necessary.
Tumblr media
Suit Saeran would only support the idols he thinks are strong enough to flourish. But when he finds himself irritated with Mamimi's personality, his stubbornness ends up with him producing her. Mamimi is the type who acts out or is deliberately lazy to get attention, always trying to be a "bad girl" because she was a spoiled kid who was never reprimanded by her parents. That's the opposite of Saeran's life experiences, so he can't stand her. But the way she keeps pushing to tease and torment him... It's hard to tell who is the cat and who is the mouse. "I hate her," he says as he produces all of her cards so he can unlock more dialogue to see if she eventually breaks down.
Tumblr media
GE Saeran would support hardworking idols going earnestly for their dreams! He's going to develop a soft spot for Kogane, who failed countless auditions but kept going towards the next ones. She's not the brightest bulb, but she is determined and strong-willed! Her belief that she can succeed is what keeps driving her until she does! She's clumsy and ditsy, but Saeran would find her honest, positive demeanor endearing. He may struggle to understand her thick Nagasaki country accent at first, though!
Tumblr media
Unknown doesn't waste his time on games. But if his Savior told him to try it... He would pick an idol the same way he would pick someone to send to the apartment. Which means he's picking Koito, because she's a hard worker and studious. She could make a good assistant... if she didn't squeak and hide all the time like a mouse seeing a hawk. Koito is bright but her meekness holds her back, and she's been compared to a "pet" for Noctchill. He'd probably enjoy watching her panic in some of her commus... Unknown, be gentle please....
Tumblr media
SE Saeran is a HioriP. He pretty much only plays for Hiori. He started begrudgingly at the behest of his nagging twin, but then he got attached to one (1) character. Hiori is diligent and serious, and Saeran doesn't suffer fools. She's also quite blunt and speaks her mind plainly. She can be a bit harsh when she speaks, not because she's mean, but because she's not good at communicating her thoughts and feelings. Sometimes this backfires Her stoic, icy appearance is misleading; she's kind and pure-hearted.
Tumblr media
Vanderwood thinks the game is a waste of time... initially. But Vandy has a track record of going soft for precocious brats, so when they find Nichika? He's in trouble. Nichika is passionate, feisty, and dedicated. She can be quite stubborn and cheeky, which both amuses and frustrates Vandy when he plays. She isn't naturally skilled, but she works hard and he'd admire her work ethic. Nichika also has this tendency to get others to spoil her with her little sister energy, and Vanderwood is not immune. They'd ultimately go soft for her when they find how insecure she actually is.
Tumblr media
Rika produces (and kins) Fuyuko. At first she was intrigued by Fuyuko's cute design, but as Rika dove deeper into her character, she was hooked. Fuyuko introduces herself as a cutesy, bubbly, attentive girl, and she asks her producer to call her "Fuyu." But she only behaves in this manner because she thinks that's the only way to get people to like her. The Fuyuko beneath "Fuyu-chan's" mask is stressed, snappy, and serious. She doesn't show her true self because she thinks she's not cute or nice enough to be an idol, despite how much she loves idols. Her greatest fear is being rejected and scorned by others. It's no surprise that Rika is drawn to her and wants to support her & her dreams, as kindred spirits! (Two pics to emphasize her two sides. Fuyuko's cards tend to be "kawaii" initially but then bolder and darker in Fes form.)

[CATCH] the sender catches the receiver before they trip.
(hello mother in law)
meet cute & ugly prompts
the dispatched souls have returnedā€”Ā  Ā it is almost all mikoto hears during the beginning hours of her day.Ā  distraught shadows find their way to her office before time had the chance to prepare her.Ā  whispers spread the corridors, filling the ears of those close and those afar.Ā  the whispers are concerns, cries of worry, and grieving weight.Ā  it does not take long for mikoto to become a desperate shadow herself.Ā  Ā it is a sick sorrow that pushes her from her office, treading the hallways without much a thought other than to find and console. Ā she cannot do either if the bearer of this grief is far away, in the reaches of a world she cannot navigate.
mikoto travels as though it is her sole duty to.Ā  and traveling has always left her weak; both in mind and body.Ā  exhaustion brings her back to the corridor of her office, stumbling with little intent to fall as much as she wishes to only sway.Ā  what is a mother to do when her only dream is far away? Ā what is a mother to do when her child is the hero against tragedies she knows nothing of? Ā what is a mother without her cā€”
the ground knocks her from the thought.Ā  mikoto feels gravity push her down with the momentum of her fall; the end of asteriaā€™s shaft skids the stone beneath it.Ā  and only by the blessing of the fates, it is all over before it begins.Ā  mikoto reaches out and pulls at fabric, her face meeting the rough outline of a shoulder.Ā  asteria slips from her hand and falls without sound, for even vallite iron cannot exist in a world foreign and strange.
she recognizes him before she sees him.Ā  hoshidan light raises her head with a gentle smile,Ā  Ā ā€œĀ  Ā leo...Ā  thank you.Ā  Ā ā€Ā  Ā but her voice breaks at the weight of his hand keeping her upright.Ā  it registers, then, this odd concept of reality.Ā  pale eyes water and relief lasts among her features.Ā  Ā ā€œĀ  Ā oh, leo, youā€™re here.Ā  youā€™re here, youā€™re safe.Ā  Ā ā€Ā  Ā her mumbling becomes a string of incoherency. Ā mikoto does not think twice before she takes leo in her arms, a gap of their height difference only proving to keep leo in the embrace.
though as swift as she hugs him, she leaves him just as quick. Ā modesty pulls her away to a safe distance, where she can still hold his hands with her own. Ā he is a sight of hope, this man before her.Ā  for a simple reveal of his presence confirms the world the fates laid her into.Ā  if leo is here, then corrin must be near.
ā€œĀ  Ā sorry, i forgot myself for a moment.Ā  Ā ā€Ā  Ā mikoto says, brushing her cheeks with the back of her hand.Ā  pale eyes take in his form in full.Ā  Ā ā€œĀ  Ā how are you feeling?Ā  has the missionā€” Ā  no, nevermind that.Ā  we must find corrin.Ā  have you seen her?Ā  Ā ā€Ā  Ā his hands are let go as mikoto makes quick work of gathering her composure.Ā  her staff is lifted back into her hand with a wave of magic and she beckons leo to follow when she begins to walk in the opposite direction of her office.
another gentle smile traces her lips.Ā  Ā ā€œĀ  Ā we will catch up, me and you.Ā  yes, there is much to speak of!Ā  oh, not now though, corrin must be found first.Ā  Ā ā€

Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. Itā€™s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day itā€™s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections. The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.
Tumblr media
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The sound of that gentle laughter had warmth surrounding Hinataā€™s heart, in all their years having known each other, she could count in one hand the times she had heard such a soft sound come out of Itachiā€™s mouth. Most of the time, the one to manage such feat was none other than Uchiha Sasuke. Itachiā€™s fondness for his brother clearly seen even in his mysterious eyes. Hinata admired that on him, saw her own affections for her little sister as a mirror to his for his brother. ā› Ā I doubt Mikoto-sama would be intimidated by anything, Ā āœ Hinata giggled, casting her moonlight eyes down, feeling the colour returning to her face slowly. Letting go of the marble like state she always went into when they had those meetings.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā His suggestion caught her off guard, so much so that she looked up at him a little wide eyed. The Hyuuga heiress loved to take little walks through the village, sightseeing was quite the hobby when one has eyes like hers. And yet, she was almost reluctant to accept. ā› Ā I would love to, Itachi-sanā€¦ Ā āœ her voice was as soft as a springtime breeze, almost heart wrenching sweet. ā› Ā But you donā€™t have to entertain me. Especially not on your day off. Ā āœ She smiled up at him, a hint of sadness within moon made eyes.Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Hinata still couldnā€™t see herself as someone worth the attention. Why should Itachi, the heir of the Uchiha clan, waste his precious day off on her? Little Hyuuga Hinata, the pitiful heir of the Hyuuga. ā› Ā W-wouldnā€™t you rather take this time to spend with your brother? Iā€™m sure Sasuke-san misses you. Ā āœ She would hate to monopolise Itachiā€™s time, to keep him there while he wished for nothing but to be with his brother.Ā
Tumblr media
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā› Ā I am not a stranger to being alone. The Uchiha estate is welcoming on its own. Ā āœ Hinata smiled up at him, gentle though the lingering sadness remained, even if a conspiratorial glint took over her eyes. ā› Ā I promise I wonā€™t tell Mikoto-sama that you snuck out. Ā āœ
A routine, no more than that.
慤To stand among the elder and the powerful, the noble and the wise, and act as their equal despite being half their age, if not a third - a routine that'd painted the succession of days, weeks, months in Itachi's life, since early childhood. The counting of chronological years mattered little to the Uchiha clan, and, the moment one was able to master the fire arts trained since their ancestrals and founders had walked the land, that was when one was also considered an official adult and allowed to partake in clan meetings and discussions. For the young genius and prodigy, it'd so happened to coincide with the age of joining the academy; having seen the horrors of war even years prior to that, the prospect of sitting through imposing meetings held little impact on Itachi.
慤And sit through it he had, by his father's right side, back perfectly straight and actions perfectly elegant and words perfectly delivered. Everything perfect, as to be expected of the future heir of the clan; truly, said clan's pride and joy and Fugaku's most of all. With his father and Hyuuga Hiashi heading off to take their conversation elsewhere, then, and resisting the real urge to ditch the rest of the protocol and go spend time with Sasuke instead, Itachi once more did as instructed - wait for his counterpart, the Hyuuga heiress, and offer her proper company and entertainment until Hiashi surmised it was time to leave.
慤Not that Itachi minded it, to be sure. Given her age, Hinata had had more opportunities to get acquainted with Sasuke, yet it wasn't rare for the the two future clan heads to meet, either; formally and informally so. Ā«No worries. Knowing of the meeting, the Lord Hokage was kind enough to offer me a free day.Ā» Which basically meant, as soon as said meeting was officially concluded, aftermath included, Itachi would go to the ANBU headquarters nonetheless and catch up with everything his team had been busy with in his absence. At this point, Hiruzen should know better than to expect the concept of a free day to hold any true meaning to his most trusted captain.
慤That aside, Hinata's next words had gentle laughter falling from his lips. Ā«My mother would beg to differ, yet I shall not stain his reputation.Ā» Fugaku's stern countenance had long ago become routine, as well. Provided he was able to keep most of such austerity on him and away from Sasuke, Itachi wouldn't complain about anything else. Ā«Perhaps you'd appreciate a walk by the lake, while waiting? The sight is quite lovely, this time of the year.Ā»

Omega!Itachi Getting Married
Anon:Ā  Helllooo!!! I was wonderin if u could write for omega itachi getting married. I'd really appreciate it :)
(Hello! Hello! This is the oldest request in my inbox, so I hope this ends up being worth the wait! Enjoy~ <3)
Warning: implied sexual activity
Tumblr media
General headcanons - Non-massacre AU:
Itachi has always known that he would get married someday.
After all, it was his duty as clan heir.
But he never expected to actually love his mate. He was required to angle for a politically/socially advantageous match and he had made his peace with that.
If he had to marry someone to keep peace between clans, he would. If he had to marry someone his parents chose for him to keep conflict in the family down, he would.
Itachiā€™s fatal flaw is that he doesnā€™t see his comfort/happiness as important.
And while he looked forward to his future children, his future spouse was a neutral event. It would happen, whether he wanted it to or not, and there was nothing he could do about it.
Best case scenario, he might have a new friend, or at least someone he respects, to live with him.
Worst case scenario, he ends up in a horrible marriage. He tried not to think too much about this option.
He never expected there to be any love between him and his future spouse.
Until he met you.
He found a person who actually loved him. An alpha who was as dedicated to a future family as he was. A partner who respected him more than he had ever hoped.
And Itachi fell hard and fast.
So, when you proposed, he felt like everything he had never dared to hope for was coming true.
You went to get his parentsā€™ permission first (and the permission of the clan by proxy) and did the proposal in front of them. It wasnā€™t ideal, you knew Itachi would be happier with a private proposal, but you also knew that Itachi wouldnā€™t believe that he had their approval unless he saw it first-hand.
Itachi and his family are very traditional, so you werenā€™t mated before you got married, instead, you mated on your wedding night.
Itachi is very happy to let his family dictate the wedding. He doesnā€™t care as long as heā€™s married to you at the end of the day.
(But he does have preferences that you can extract from him, but getting Itachiā€™s true opinion, can be like pulling teeth.)
Proposal:
You had known Itachi since you were both 18, two years now. You had been courting him officially for a year and a half before you proposed.
As I mentioned, you proposed in front of Itachiā€™s parents, to make sure that he knew that you had gained their approval.
Sasuke was also there, after years of bribery, finally accepting of you and Itachiā€™s relationship. You met Sasuke when he had just graduated from the academy, and he was not impressed by this new person stealing his brother from him when he wanted Itachi to train him ā˜¹
For Itachi, it was a normal family dinner.
He definitely noticed that you were behaving nervously, but he knew his family could be stiff, overly traditional and a little intimidating, so he figured that was the cause of your discomfort.
Sasuke was also staring at you suspiciously the whole evening, but to be honest, sometimes Sasuke was just like that, so Itachi thought nothing of it.
You kept a hand on his knee for the entire meal, only letting go of him when you announced that you had brought dessert for everyone and would be happy to serve it.
Itachi smiled his gorgeous smile at you, so pleased to see you making an effort with his family (or perhaps he was smiling about the desert, Itachiā€™s sweet tooth is legendary after all. It was difficult to tell.)
Nervously clenching your hands, you walked over to the fridge, pulling out the plate of dango you had hidden in there earlier. It was Itachiā€™s favourite, and if there was anything to convince him to say yes to your proposal, it was a demonstration of how much dango you were willing to buy for him.
ā€˜Donā€™t mess this up,ā€™ you said to yourself, gingerly sliding the plate of dango out of the fridge. It was an elaborate platter that had cost far too much. There were seven different dango flavours with an assortment of dips and dressings, arranged artfully with fruit and dried flowers to decorate the plate.
You walked to back to the table and presented the plate with a dramatic flourish to hide your nerves.
Itachiā€™s face lit up. Despite your nerves, his obvious excitement put a smile on your face. He really was perfect.
And thatā€™s why you canā€™t mess this up.
ā€œThereā€™s anko, green tea, sesame,ā€ you pointed at each flavour as you listed them. ā€œHanami andā€¦erā€¦ some other onesā€¦?ā€
Sasuke scoffed at your embarrassing failure to recall the flavours, causing a red flush to creep up your neck. You didnā€™t even know that there was this many dango flavours before yesterday! Thankfully, he didnā€™t say anything, perhaps due to the sharp look Itachi had shot at him.
ā€œI made sure to get enough for everyone, but thereā€™s something Iā€™d like to ask for in return.ā€
You could see Itachi trying to catch your eye, probably to ask what an earth you were doing, but you purposefully avoided looking in his direction.
ā€œThe only thing I ask,ā€ you continued, nervously. ā€œIs for a minute of your time before we eat dessert.ā€
Mikoto smiled at you and nodded for you to go ahead with a gentle wave of her hand. Sasuke simply raised an eyebrow at you but didnā€™t interrupt.
ā€œGreat,ā€ you laughed nervously. ā€œUm, so, er, Itachi.ā€
Itachi straightened under your sudden attention. He looked immensely uncomfortable and confused, he was probably panicking about you doing something in front of his family that you would regret. He always played liaison between you and his family to avoid conflict and was probably not comfortable with you doing this. Unfortunately, he would never believe that you had his parentsā€™ approval if you didnā€™t propose in front of them.
ā€œIā€™ve known you for two years now, Itachi,ā€ you started, finally looking at Itachi in the eye. ā€œAnd it sounds horribly cheesy, but I think that I fall in love with you more every day.ā€
A barely audible gasp left Itachi. He was a genius, after all, he had probably figured out where this was going. He looked torn between panicked and elated, seeming to settle somewhere around shell-shocked.
ā€œIā€™ve come to realise recently that, a life without that love, without your love, isnā€™t a life that I want.ā€
You can just about see tears gathering in Itachiā€™s waterline. It doesnā€™t look like heā€™s breathing at all.
With one final rush of bravery, you pulled out the diamond ring that had been weighing down your pocket for months and knelt down onto the dining room floor.
ā€œWill you marry me?ā€
Itachiā€™s head whips around to face his parents, most likely preparing some serious damage control. But when he sees his motherā€™s gentle smile and his fatherā€™s subtle nod, he slowly moves his gaze back to you. Youā€™ve never seen him look so shocked before. It was almost amusing enough to distract you from your nerves. Almost.
ā€œI-,ā€ Itachi swallowed hard. ā€œI donā€™t know what to say.ā€
ā€œJust say what you want to say, Itachi,ā€ his mother replies, trying to encourage him.
His motherā€™s words seemed to break him out of his stupor and Itachi breathes out a single word.
ā€œYes.ā€
You let out a delighted and relieved laugh, taking Itachiā€™s hand in yours and slipping the ring onto his finger, and even though his family were all watching you, you couldnā€™t help but pull him into an embrace.
ā€œI love you so much,ā€ you whispered to him. ā€œIā€™ll read you my real proposal speech this evening.ā€
Itachi laughed into your shoulder. His laughter had a hysteric edge to it, his mind still clearly reeling at what you had just done. Ā
ā€œReal speech?ā€
ā€œYou didnā€™t think I was going read my real proposal out in front of your parents, did you? No way. They still think weā€™re virgins and I didnā€™t want to spoil that illusion for them.ā€
Itachi quickly and efficiently jabbed you in the stomach and hit you with his infamous glare.
ā€œOkay, I deserved that,ā€ you winced, gingerly rubbing the sore spot.
Finally, you pulled away and moved to dish out the dango. And if Itachi got the biggest portion, well, no one mentioned it.
Ā Ā Ā Planning:
Itachi lets his clan take over the planning.
He doesnā€™t want to deal with the stress of having to combat his family at every turn and would much rather just let them do it. As long as youā€™re there with him, nothing else really matters.
But even when his clan leave the smaller decisions up to him, heā€™s hesitant to voice his opinions, wanting his alpha to make them as an apology for his family commandeering everything.
But if you pay attention to little signs and reactions that Itachi gives, you can figure out some of his wants and desires.
Overall, there isnā€™t much to say about the wedding planning, because Itachi doesnā€™t do much of it.
Things he wants (compromise available/no compromise allowed):
Sasuke as his groomsman and Shisui as his best man ā€“ Itachi doesnā€™t have many close friends or relatives. He has you, Sasuke, Shisuiā€¦ er, heā€™d probably invite his old captain Kakashi andā€¦ well, you get the point. So, every person who is important to him needs to be by his side at his wedding, and who is more important than his best friend and little brother.
A traditional wedding ā€“ He isnā€™t actually that bothered by what type of wedding he has, but he knows his family and clan will insist on a traditional celebration and as I mentioned, he doesnā€™t want to fight. The elders will push the wedding to be held in the clan compound and Itachi would be told to wear a traditional Uchiha wedding garment.
A sweets cart ā€“ This is something that he wonā€™t bring up, and therefore isnā€™t bolded, but itā€™s very easy to see his face light up when he sees this in a wedding catalogue. Itā€™s a wooden cart with different jars of sweets with little scoops for people to help themselves to. Itachi loves sweet food, obviously, but he also thinks it would be something the children in the clan would adore. He kind of really wants one, but he wonā€™t bring it up unless someone else does first.
An early wedding ā€“ He wonā€™t fight you or his family about this, but ideally, he would like to get married in the morning, maybe around 8 or 9 AM. Itachi is definitely an early bird who prefers the ambience of the early morning which is part of the reason, but mainly he just wants the performative part of the wedding over and done with so he can start his honeymoon. He doesnā€™t find it appealing to spend all night pretending to tolerate the elders of his clan who will almost certainly spend their time berating him for his choice of partner and then telling him he needs to have as many children as possible because heā€™s a powerful ninja that will produce powerful children. He just doesnā€™t want to deal with it. Leaving at 6 PM with you to go on your honeymoon and finally, finally mate? That sounds much more fun.
To try and conceive on his honeymoon ā€“ Obviously, heā€™s not going to force anything if you arenā€™t ready, but he would really love to start trying to conceive straight away. Heā€™s desperate to have his own children, firstly, but also, he knows this is his only ticket to retiring from being a ninja. He wants to retire so badly, and so if youā€™re both ready for children, he doesnā€™t want to wait.
Ā The wedding:
You donā€™t see Itachi for a day before the wedding, as is tradition. You see him for the first time that weekend when heā€™s walking down the hall towards you.
And as Fugaku walks Itachi down the aisle, you are completely breathless.
He looks stunning.
His hair had been intricately platted with flowers, some lose strands of hair left to frame his face.
Heā€™s wearing a deep red, formal kimono just as you expected, but it looked so much more beautiful than you had imagined.
He looked like royalty.
The whole ceremony flew by, and before you knew it, it was time for you and Itachi to say goodbye and leave for your honeymoon.
Your honeymoon was to be had at a cabin held deep in the woods on the Uchiha compound. The rule was that married couples could not be disturbed for anything other than a life-or-death emergency, so you would be completely alone.
It might have been nice to go abroad, but the Uchiha clan didnā€™t want Itachi to be distracted by his honeymoon outside of Konoha where he might be attacked and his eyes stolen.
You both had already been by to drop off everything you would need for the week, including clothes, food, games and toiletries.
So, now, all that was left was for you two to get there yourself.
You and Itachi had decided to amble your way to the cabin, taking your time to enjoy each otherā€™s company after a day of socialising with everyone but each other. Not to mention that neither of your outfits were particularly well designed for gallivanting through the forest. It would be rather embarrassing to have to end your self-imposed isolation to go to the hospital on day one, so walking slowly was probably a good idea.
You had been walking for about thirty minutes so the cabin should beā€¦ There! You were there!
ā€œWait!ā€ you shot out a hand to stop Itachi from entering, startling him slightly. ā€œDonā€™t go in yet.ā€
Itachi furrowed his brows, absently blowing a stray hair from his face that must have fallen down during the walk.
ā€œIā€¦ want to carry you inside,ā€ you admitted bashfully.
Itachi chuckled but stepped closer to let you do it. You beamed at him, pressing a kiss against his lips as a thank you. He looked a lot more tired than this morning; his hair was falling out of its elaborate placement and the makeup you were sure he was coerced into using was a little smudged.
He really was the most beautiful person you had ever met.
With his permission now gained, you placed an arm around his shoulders and another arm behind his knees, before gently lifting him off the ground. You nuzzled Itachiā€™s neck, enjoying his content scent and the way he sighed happily at your attention.
With your husband firmly in your grasp, you nudged open the front door with your foot and stepped safely over the threshold. You carried Itachi all the way to the bedroom and placed him down gently on the bed.
Itachi leant up to steal a kiss.
ā€œBringing me straight to the bedroom, you are incorrigible,ā€ he teased, kicking off his shoes and making himself comfortable on the bed.
ā€œI-I wasnā€™t, I didnā€™t mean that!ā€ you sputtered, flushing under Itachiā€™s laughter. Silence fell over the room for a moment as the exhaustion from the day swept over you both.
ā€œWould you mind helping me out of this kimono, please? I think itā€™s time for something a little more comfortable.ā€
It took a solid ten minutes to get Itachi out of his clothes and into some pyjamas. Ten minutes and a lot of swear words as every layer seemed to be hiding another one underneath.
ā€œThis wasnā€™t how I imagined undressing you on our wedding night, that felt a lot like pass the parcel but somehow more stressful.ā€
ā€œOh?ā€ Itachi questioned, pulling you to sit down on the bed with him, finally free from the constraints of his wedding attire. ā€œHow did you imagine it?ā€
Rather than answer with words, you pressed wet kisses over Itachiā€™s neck, smirking against his skin as you felt his hand come up to grasp at your hair and a gentle moan escape from his lips.
This was definitely going to be the best part of the celebrations.

Garlands for Mikoto
@gentlenekomata continued from here
Spring and flowers were probably one of the favourite things in Sakuraā€™s life and the occasion of the Midsommar festivity was certainly a great occasion to spend some time in doing what she loved the most: making flowers crowns. She was quite skilled actually, as she used to practice a lot when she was younger, especially with her mother Mikoto; the two of them used to spend a lot of time together in the main garden of the castle, happily playing and gathering flowers, as they later would do some fancy decorations for the family.
It was indeed a happy memory.
Lost in thoughts, she regained consciousness as soon as Anankos gently placed the flower crown over her head, since it slowly dropped over her face, making her blush and giggle at the apologies of the latter. ā€œNo need to apologyā€ she softly spoke, rising the crown she was holding in her hands, ā€œIā€™ve made one for you too.ā€ she softened her tone, ā€œMy mother used to love doing flower crowns and I think she would be happy to see you doing as wellā€” with meā€ she teased, now placing with care the crown on his head, a dainty smile as she observed the result of her creation.
ā€œWanna do another one for her?ā€
Anankos smiles softly, kneeling next to the girl as she places the flower crown on his head. He feels rather relaxed for once in the presence of many people, despite how much he usually hates crowds like the one at this festival.Ā
"It's very nice Sakura..." She really does possess Mikoto's gentle nature, surely taught over years of nurture in her loving care. He is truly glad that even if their daughter had been taken from her, that she still had so much love in her heart to give to her stepchildren.
"...Mikoto did so love making things out of flowers... anything really, not just flower crowns. She was like her ancestor in that way..." He falters, his hands wringing nervously in his lap. He has not spoken of Cadros much to anyone - other than Shigure - since arriving at the academy, but it is the comfort in this moment that makes him think of both of his lost loves.
"I'm sure she'd like us to make one for her though... since she cannot be here..." He smiles a little sadly, wishing that she could. Wishing that both of them could, but those years he had spent with them - though separated by centuries - were long past him. Things that could never be regained.

just a small little bonus scene from this Shiita fic - featuring Mikoto bcus I love writing moms c:
-----
When Itachi was small, Mikoto would curl herself around him. A shield, from everything that could potentially hurt him; he was small and quiet and fragile and hers. Her firstborn, her heart and joy and love. Her whole life, wrapped up in one tiny little package with clever black eyes and gentle hands. In the first months of his life she would spend hours beside his crib, watching him breathe as though at any moment he would stop. She remembers brushing his whisper-soft hair, and whispering to him any little thing that came to mind. How he was a beautiful baby, the cleverest in the village as far as she was concerned. That his father had cried when he held him for the first time, but don't tell anyone that, it's our secret. That he is loved, so impossibly cherished that he'll grow surrounded by more warmth than he'll know what to do with.
Even now, twenty odd years later, Mikoto sits as a sentinel and watches her son breathe as though at any moment he could stop. Which is uncomfortably close to the truth, though she tries her best not to dwell too deeply on that. She sits beside him in the hospital, eyes trained on his pale face, and wonders when her little boy had grown. He's taller than her, has the weight of the world on his shoulders - but still she sees her little boy, with his scarred yet still gentle hands, and the soft crooked smile he'd inherited from her.
Mikoto feels pulled in a hundred different directions as she watches her son die. She needs to be there for Sasuke, needs to be ready to pick up his pieces. Needs to ensure Fugaku doesn't pull away, needs to answer all the difficult questions and accept the endless conversations and condolences on her family's behalf. She's long been the gentle hand of their family, and now she will hold them all together even as she falls apart.
She wants to scream. Wants to curl around her little boy, like she'd done when he could fit in her arms. Tears prick at her eyes as Mikoto reaches forward to tuck a lock of hair behind Itachi's ear, thumb lingering on his cheek. His breath rattles through his chest and she has to bite back on a sob as her vision blurs, and all of a sudden she wishes to wake him. To beg his forgiveness, in the middle of the night as they all lay in wait for his life to slip away. He'd always been independent, more content to take everything upon himself than to burden anyone else; but it's a mother's responsibility to protect their child, to help them stand and ease their hurts. She used to kiss his hands and tie his hair, would hold him snug to her chest and lull him to sleep with a hushed song.
And now she can do nothing. She's powerless, useless. Failure lingers heavy in her chest as she curves a hand along his cheek, his name slipping past her lips in a broken whisper.
"I'm sorry," she says, swallowing down her shame and desperate desire to scream and rage and despair. "I'm sorry."
Itachi does not wake, does not stir. Mikoto sobs silently into her hand, shoulders hunched and heaving, until dawn breaks over her firstborn's final day.

That fan art is so beautiful!
Itā€™s heartbreaking to think about this, because Sasuke, who used to be such a sweet and gentle kid, grew up to essentially try his hardest to cut all bonds because in his view, only by being truly alone could he be strong (because no one would had anything to threaten him with, by taking the people he loved away from him again). If he were able to meet his parents again, the same way Naruto did, Iā€™m afraid my imagination falls short, but there are some things I at least hope would happen.
I can imagine Fugaku telling him that he shouldnā€™t have taken Itachiā€™s loyalty to his family for granted. Itachiā€™s actions, despite his intentions, were wrong, twisted by the cruel nature of the shinobi world. But they also were, in essence, rooted in love. I imagine Fugaku telling Sasuke that if he had nurtured and guided this love inside Itachi, instead of coldly focusing on his prodigious skills, things may have turned out differently. That it was the purity in Sasuke that he most wanted to protect, that he never wanted Sasuke to become just another sharp tool for Konoha to wield. Fugaku telling Sasuke that heā€™s so proud, and that, in spite of the tragedy that befell him, Sasuke will always carry their love for him in his heart. That he deserves to be truly happy. Fugaku would hug his son one last time, a reassuring hand gently resting on Sasukeā€™s head, telling him how much he loved him, that his greatest joy in life was being his father. Heā€™d take one last look at Sasuke, a kind smile on his otherwise strong and stoic face, before heā€™d vanish.
Mikoto, I imagine, would look at Sasuke like he was her whole world, with eyes identical to his, except filled with so much love and affection that Sasuke wouldnā€™t be able to speak. Sheā€™d pull him into her arms, gently, let him bury his face into her shoulder, and tell him that heā€™s more loved than heā€™ll ever know. That she wants for him to be happy, that he deserves every joy. Sasuke might tell her that he doesnā€™t know how to feel joy, when it would feel like a betrayal to his clan. How could he ever feel joy when they were all gone? What if that joy was taken away from him again? And Mikoto would gently cradle his face in her hands, telling him that the key to his desire, to preserve the memory of the Uchiha, to restore the clan, perhaps was to know that he neednā€™t do it alone. That the one bond he could never break might be the answer, because even if her and Fugaku would not be there for him, she knew someone else would. Someone would understand him completely and face whatever hardships the future has, standing by his side. Come what may. Sheā€™d tell to trust his heart, and that he will be loved, always.
I am neither a writer, nor am I as adept at creating analyses or metas as others in this fandom, so these thoughts and musings are rather feeble. Sasuke is my favourite character, and so itā€™s hard to think of anything that would give him peace and have it feel sufficient.
But youā€™re absolutely right, @loveforsasuke, that this is a topic that brings out endless emotions. Mostly heartbreaking.
And whatever may be causing you strife in your life right now, I hope you find the strength to get through it! You matter, and even though Iā€™m a stranger, I wish you every joy! šŸ’•
Hi! I appreciate and enjoy your blog a lot so I figured Iā€™d ask the following: If Sasuke ever got the chance to speak to his parents again the same way Naruto did, what do you think theyā€™d say to him? Do you think a meeting like this would bring Sasuke some peace, or make him feel worse? Had the massacre not happened, itā€™s hard to imagine what kind of man heā€™d grow up to be. Are there any words you think Mikoto or Fugaku could say that would help to bring Sasuke some proper closure regarding their deaths? Thank you!
hiii! šŸŒø ohh thank you so much! you made me so happy anon really! ā¤ļøā¤ļø (i needed it!)
i've been thinking about it A LOT , i honestly wish Sasuke could talk to his parents like Naruto... his parents would definitely support him and tell him that they're proud of him and ofc they love him forever!!šŸ˜ i'm sure of it! i imagine him hearing such a word from his father and wouldn't it be so nice? little Sasuke wanted to be accepted by his father... to hear that his father is proud of him.... i believe it would make him happy and peaceful. it would do him good to hear that his family loves him forever, supports him and proud of him! and i believe it would bring him a little peace!! after all Sasuke is trying to avenge them (&his clan ofc)... oh my godd i'm so emotional rn anon!!! ughh, i've so many thoughts!!! i don't even know which one to mention, but here it is (a slightly recovered version šŸ˜„)
also, wouldn't it be nice if there was a "what if?" about what kind of man Sasuke would have been without the massacre?????? šŸ‘€
like what i said before, but i'd definitely imagine an emotional and loving conversation with him for a "beautiful closure for their heartbreaking deaths" like, they'd say "we'll always love you and wherever you are, we'll be there with you..." šŸ„¹šŸ„¹šŸ’“ and they would definitely be proud of the child they raised... i would like to have that kind of closure with Fugaku and Mikoto besides the one with Itachi, but unfortunately *sighss*
i realize i didn't write down exactly what i thought and it may have been nonsense!! (& i feel there are some i forgot to add šŸ‘€) i'm not very good at this :( but i definitely believe in what i've mentioned here! there may be more but most of it's here! you can add your own ideas if you want btw! it may be good maybe? :)
also this fanart!!!!! omg šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ’“

The night before the attack on Mihashira Tower, Munakata and Fushimi privately and quietly go over their betrayal plan one more and one last time. It's then that Fushimi admits in his own way that... he really doesn't want Munakata to die.
Imagine itā€™s like just here, in the dark at this last private moment that they know theyā€™ll have, where Fushimiā€™s finally able to say something honestly (and he knows it too, bitterly, that here at last maybe heā€™s willing to admit that thereā€™s something he doesnā€™t want to lose right at the moment where he may truly lose it, and where he has to betray the person who heā€™s finally realized he never wants to betray). The evening before the Mihashira raid Munakata calls Fushimi into his room to discuss ā€” his room, not the office, not anywhere that they can be seen, late at night when everyone else has gone to bed to be ready for the next dayā€™s mission, Fushimi slipping in under cover of night making certain no one knows heā€™s here except Munakata. He scoffs over all the secrecy and Munakata coolly apologizes, this is after all a top secret mission between the two of them and he cannot risk letting anyone else know.
They start to go over the plan, what Fushimiā€™s to do and when, Munakata probably leaving a lot of it up to Fushimi knowing that thereā€™s no way to pinpoint exactly what would have to occur at Mihashira for them to lose. Munakata smiles and notes that he has full confidence in Fushimiā€™s ability as an actor and Fushimi rolls his eyes, muttering that heā€™ll complete the mission properly and isnā€™t that all Munakata needs from him. Munakata says indeed and warns Fushimi that this is a dangerous mission and once again he can refuse if he wishes, that once Fushimiā€™s in jungle he will be on his own and responsible for his own safety. Fushimi says he knows that and Munakata laughs softly, adding that he would like to be able to guarantee Fushimiā€™s safety himself butā€¦, trailing off with a rueful smile.
Fushimi gets this irritated look and clicks his tongue in the silence, saying Munakata really intends to die so easily. Munakata says that is not his intention but he must be prepared, telling Fushimi to go get some sleep now. Fushimi stays where he is though, this annoyed expression still on his face as he shifts from foot to foot. Munakata asks if Fushimiā€™s nervous and Fushimi snaps that he isnā€™t, heā€™s just annoyed at Munakata saying such stupid things about dying, arenā€™t you supposed to be better than Suoh Mikoto Captain. Munakata is amused at Fushimi speaking so bluntly and Fushimi says isnā€™t that why you brought me over, and now youā€™re the one talking so cavalierly about dying. Munakata says of course he had more he wanted to do and Fushimi cuts him off there with another tongue click, saying if thatā€™s the case then donā€™t you dare die before the mission is complete.Ā
Munakata looks momentarily surprised and then the truth behind those words sinks in and he gives this gentle smile, wondering if Fushimi is concerned for him. Fushimi starts to deny it and then pauses, finally murmuring ā€˜you had better not die, Captain.ā€™ Munakata sighs and says he wishes he could make such a promise but he canā€™t guarantee anything ā€” however, if it is at all possible he will do his best to survive, and to meet Fushimi once again. Fushimi says heā€™ll hold Munakata to that even though it wasnā€™t a promise, turning to leave and trying to ignore this sudden tightness in his chest. (Bonus: if you want the bonus smut version of this, this fic of mine is basically that.)Ā
