Got a Breakdown centric/kobd fanfic idea and wanted to write down the summary for later use
After the first acounter with Silas Breakdown actually gets to bond with Bulkhead for a moment and Bulkhead seeing his old partner is still there decides to try rekindle their bond offering sparing sesions for starters. Breakdown obliviously refuses (he's no traitor) but getting back on Nemesis he starts to question himself. He already is a nuisence to the decepticons, he has nothing to offer other than his strength and project Breakdown showed he's not even good at that. Getting to train more wouldn't be that bad.. after all decepticons never give him any classified informations for autobots to steal and if he was killed it wouldn't be a big lose. Breakdown starts meeting up with Bulkhead and their old friendship starts to blossom once again. He's not doing anything wrong, he's just sparing. It's not like any of his superiors care about what he does, now that he lose to a human.
Accept there IS one bot that cares and he is not pleased.
Basically Breakdown getting friends and Knockout losing his shit.
Relationships: Breakdown & Bulkhead, Breakdown/Knockout, past Breakdown/Bulkhead, mentioned Bulkhead/Wheeljack,
Warnings: mentions of torture, acts of violence, toxic relationship dynamics, yandere(?) Behaviour
To clarifie, altrought Knockout might be a little bit antagonized here, he is not a villain. He just doesn't know how to handle some emotions that he's not used to. Which is pretty fair considering he almost lost his husband. Breakdown still loves him for it. Just wants to be more appreciated.

Tumblr media
𝄞༉‧₊˚. ALBEDO
albedo sketches you all the time, but hasn’t gathered enough courage to show you them. for his gift, it’s a portrait of you smiling and laughing. you begin to tear up of how beautiful it is, to which he confesses that the first time you expressed those emotions there was when he fell in love with you.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. ARATAKI ITTO
not one normal person would gift you onikabuto and miss hina trading cards, but you appreciate his efforts nonetheless. this year, itto takes you to a cliff where he holds a talent show with his gang. as he’s about to perform his birthday song, the tenryou commission appears to chase after the two of you. it turns out the cliff is private property, and he didn’t see the signs.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. BEIDOU
celebrations are always lively at the crux. connections with wanmin restaurant and liquor merchants allow beidou to prepare a feast just for you. as it’s your special day, she’ll let you be captain, giving you permission to sail wherever you want to go. you and her crew know too well that she’ll go all out on the drinks and become too drunk to handle her duties.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. DILUC
romantic dinners are the best dreams to come true; no need for extravagant parties. having one at the balcony of dawn winery, with candles burning brightly and each person holding wine in one hand, you make a toast with your significant other to another good year ahead. afterwards, diluc will take you to the living room, dancing to each other’s heartbeats.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. EULA
as eula had celebrated her birthday alone in the past, she isn’t used to someone else holding her hand and being dragged around the city, spewing laughs for such a special day as yours. when you ask her if she wants to stop, she shakes her head. when her special day comes, she wants to feel free with you.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. GANYU
working all day and night, ganyu didn’t find time to buy you a present. instead, she bakes you a qingxin flower cake, and a messily attempt at that. yet she hides it behind her back, thinking that you won’t appreciate it. you happen to see it, which makes you want to try it. she sighs in relief to hear you say you really like it, and now she’s obligated to bake one for you every year.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. GOROU
you didn’t think it’s possible for someone else being more excited than yourself in celebrating your special day. the morning of, gorou hunts for fresh fish and crabs at the beach. at night after his patrol, he’ll prepare a banquet in front of a bonfire, rousing sparks of jealousy. they wish to be dedicated and loving as the general for their future significant others.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. HU TAO
it’s not the spooky season yet, but hu tao never fails to bring its energy to everyday life, and your birthday is no exception. after her shift, she takes you to wuwang hill just to stargaze, which she keeps on insisting. you don’t trust everything she says, but you still get pranked by her, using her ghost to disguise as her to make you think she’s “gone”.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. JEAN
the guildmaster has many hidden talents, and one of which is singing. jean gets embarrassed if someone hears her sing. everyone assumes that you did, but that’s a misconception. for your birthday, you finally hear her for the first time in forever after annoying her for so long. to your surprise, she really has a nice voice.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. KAEDEHARA KAZUHA
being the poet that kazuha is, it’s no surprise that a haiku will be his gift. yet every single time he recites one, you fall in love with him all over again. he doubts his creativity in this one in particular but you insist that it’s the best he’s ever made so far, thanking him with a kiss. you would’ve never thought to see him so flustered.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. KAEYA
for someone who talks a lot to charm his way into someone else’s affairs, kaeya greets you with a few words and a sliver of a smile. he doesn’t want to ruin your special day. but how can that be if he’s the reason your life has gotten so much better? as soon as he feels your reassurance, he reverts back to being a tease. your special day won’t be special without him.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. KAMISATO AYAKA
ayaka manages to find out your birthday from the housekeepers in advance so she could make your gift extra special. she initially thinks that an expensive one would be suitable to your liking, but begins to have second thoughts. she decides to take you to chinju forest, a place not too far from the estate and where she’ll perform her fan dance.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. KAMISATO AYATO
(kind of?) salty that his retainer chose to spend his birthday with the traveler instead of him and his sister, ayato doesn’t give you the liberty to act on your own today — he wants you for himself until then. while he pampers you with his peculiar cooking, you think of ways to fool him to escape. however, outsmarting him won’t do, because he’ll catch you in the end anyway.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. KEQING
learning an important lesson from the traveler to rest every now and then, keqing requests time off from work for the first time in a while to make you a present. she gives you a lantern which looks ordinary, but it runs on electro energy and stays lit indefinitely. she tells you that it serves as a reminder of her being an extra light in your life, and you in hers.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. KUJOU SARA
spending the majority of her time tending to her duties as a general, sara is unsure how to celebrate birthdays other than her own properly. on yours she immediately skips the formalities and goes straight to the point by asking you if you have a birthday wish. not only will she grant you one, but five, her lucky number. it’s cute that she’s trying her best, and you happily accept her offer.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. NINGGUANG
when you first started working under the tianquan, you were intimidated by her presence. once you get to know her, ningguang is a generous and kind lady; for instance, giving you a super expensive gift for your birthday. they’re brocades, which you can use to make your clothes. as someone who has never learned how to sew before, she’ll gladly teach you how to do it.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. RAIDEN SHOGUN
ah, don’t mind the raiden shogun; ei won’t hurt you. the electro archon finally accepts that time goes forward and she must go along with it. ever since the cataclysm, you celebrated alone, but now she’s at your side with a bundle of tricolor dango in her hand. it’s the modern age of inazuma, where the both of you can pursue eternity in a different way together.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. SANGONOMIYA KOKOMI
as expected of the resident strategist of the sangonomiya resistance, kokomi has already planned out everything for your birthday, even noting the possible changes of the weather. one thing she hasn’t done since the war is swimming at the pools of the island, so she takes you there for a dive in the morning. the shrine maidens are glad to see her having fun as she sprays water at you.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. SHENHE
shenhe learns the importance of birthdays from her master and also notes that humans in particular highly appreciate materialistic things. as someone who isn’t really fond of them, she takes you to her favorite place in the world — the mountains, where you can see the beautiful view of the sky. her way of celebrating your day is way better than any physical present.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. TARTAGLIA
just for one day, childe doesn’t want to do anything related to the fatui so he can spend time with you in peace. throughout the dinner with you and his family, the both of you sense a presence outside, excusing yourselves to take care of “business” — agents from another organization who you took down a while ago. maybe some celebrations aren’t meant to be peaceful after all.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. THOMA
thoma is friendly… too friendly. he practically invites the entire city, recommending them to bring any of their signature foods and drinks for your celebration. you told him you wanted a small party, but never mind that; he worked too hard for this. oh, yeah! a party hosted by thoma isn’t one if the hotpot game isn’t included, which is quite dreadful to say the least.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. VENTI
despite not being an experienced baker, venti attempts to bake a cake for you because someone once told him that you’re supposed to eat one on birthdays. it’s apple-flavored, his favorite! an amateur in baking, the cake doesn’t look like an actual cake — more like an apple pie. regardless, you did enjoy it. in addition, he allows you to request to have him sing a song as you eat.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. XIAO
xiao doesn’t celebrate birthdays because he doesn’t understand their concept, stating that they’re redundant. yet he still gives you a gift before going off on your journey — a butterfly emblem created from leaves. he says it’s an adepti amulet that staves off evil. so no matter where you go, the object will protect you from harm every step of the way.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. YAE MIKO
yae isn’t a big fan of celebrating such festivities because people would merely come to her for her blessings instead of using their time for other things, as their visits disrupt her leisure time. since you’re her significant other, she’ll give you special treatment (for a minute before kicking you out of the shrine). she won’t admit it, but she’s happy to see you and wishes for a fruitful year ahead.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. YOIMIYA
yoimiya is the definition of lively… and disastrous. you’re still unsure whether lighting up fireworks is a great idea because she got caught by the tenryou commission (again) for “illegal activity”. however, that doesn’t stop her from making you the best birthday present ever. as she begins to light up the fireworks, you could hear the footsteps of the soldiers trying to contain the incoming chaos.
𝄞༉‧₊˚. ZHONGLI
as old-fashioned as he is, zhongli gives you a dried glaze lily. he says that it bears the beautiful memories and prayers of the nation. afterwards, he connects it to another story of a god whose eyes fell upon the love of their life, and then a field of glaze lilies bloom. unbeknownst to you, it’s about you and him, when the two of you first met.

I think people are sleeping on Yae angst potential so I'm just gonna drop it. At least I haven't seen anything similar like this being written, maybe I just don't dig enough? Eh who I'm even lying to, I'm shadow posting my oc x Miko dynamic
Miko moving on from her human S/O
Reader here is: Gender neutral
Cw: Reader dies (of old age)
There are a lot of reasons why someone like her avoids being vulnerable. So obviously a serious relationship had always been something she wasn't thinking about.
To her it were all fleeting memories, no matter how fond she never let herself be attached to anyone she dated.
And yet there you were. The one person in Teyvat who could make Miko feel her heart fluttering for.
She could always find an excuse to see you and she completely adored your company. You amused her, you challenged her, you made her feel things she never thought she'd allow herself to feel.
And yet... Here was the catch. Your lifespan was like a blink of an eye to her... Making her feel like all those memories were nothing but one chapter in her life, a beautiful dream. But not like she'd let anyone know about that.
It's also not like you were together forever, maybe dated w good decade or less, she watched you grow old but it was all from the sidelines while someone else took her place.
Even as an elder you were a total charmer to her, she still enjoyed your company even if the spark between you was long gone due to your feelings shifting for someone else and her supposedly "losing interest".
In the end it was hard hiding her feelings from her childhood friend, once you actually passed on. Mizuki didn't even need time to connect how your death was linked to her behavior, despite Miko acting pretty much the same on the surface.
There just were these moments where she was distant. Either her gaze running away for a moment, or not knowing how to focus on a good novel. Sometimes she let the opportunity to tease someone slip, but she only excuses that one as her feeling merciful.
She didn't visit much of your grave, it was pointless to just see your name carved into stone, she might even live long enough for it to crumble enough for your name to become unreadable.
Although she did think about it often. Such feelings were quite ironic for her to feel given how he treated Ei's greif in the past, she was aware of that.
She didn't even know what did she regret. Not staying with you longer? The outcome would've been the same if not more hurtful. Oh how she hated feeling the control slipping away.
But as time went on, so did her regrets. It was really just as she thought, sulking wasn't her style... Yet whenever she was reminded of your face she could feel her face shifting to a small bittersweet smile.

A/N: @y0ka13 was a little tired to write mizu fics and I’m kinda sleepy so yes let’s go also this fic wasn’t the surprise I was talking about but earlier so put ur panties back on bc the time of said surprise depends on another author is all im gonna say. 🕯️
Tumblr media
Indistinct chatter ran rampant in the halls paved in the direction of your lecture hall, your feet planted firmly against every square of stone peeking out between the crevices of which they were cemented together. The soles of your shoe mindlessly dragged along the stone in a scratchy grating noise as the clouds above peeked past the peak of your campus building, allowing you to get lost in the fluffed up white heaps bundled up along the sky.
Two thick books were hugged against your chest as you wandered off into thought during the gap between your back to back classes, cool air batting to your face while carefully lowering yourself down onto a nearby bench conveniently situated behind you. Years of hard work at this institution felt like nothing but slaving away at the endless stacks of paper scribbled with lines of overinflated texts, dreams of grasping at your goals only straying further and further as you constantly found yourself questioning the point of studying so hard if everything went to shit anyways.
You were slowly going insane. That much was obvious. From the way you found yourself hunched over a desk countless times, while the sky simmered into a dark wash of pitch black peeking through your dorm window, with sprinkles of stars caught in the corner of your eye if you looked close enough. Every night seemed like torture as you aimlessly scrabbled for the information to stick inside your brain, temples aching alongside your weakened limbs.
The overflow of assignments accompanied your sleepless nights that began to creep into every aspect of your life as the norm, ink hovering in a large splotch above the clean sheet of paper your pen bled against. Bitter notes of the aftertaste of coffee seeped into your mouth every morning post all nighter, tongue pulsating as your face scrunched up in distaste at the sting nearly making you crash mid lecture, while you struggled to fix your eyes open through the barrage of content.
Yet in the midst of the draining haze of merely living to keep up, a certain someone surely soothed that throbbing ache of fatigue eating away at you slowly, her presence alone pushing back your worry as you spent quite some time staring at the woman stood tall in the distance everytime. Honestly, having a crush on Yae Miko was meant to be a little distraction, merely a puppy crush that wasn’t supposed to grow to be anymore than—well, just that.
However, it spiked up progressively throughout the course of each month of the dragged on semester. Finding yourself noticing little things, such as how strands of her pinkish hair were perfectly smoothed over, reflective in the sunlight like that of a model. Eyes fixating on her as her lips parted to push out a sigh building on her tongue during a lecture, or the way she held her pen between her thumb and index finger in a squeezed grasp, resting her cheek onto her palm to stare unamused at the polished wooden podium with disinterest.
Yeah, it was obvious you weren’t just crushing like a dumb highschool kid.
You just couldn’t help it. Miko was practically perfect, it was pretty easy to get lost in the swirling purple that plunged you into the depths of her irises, swallowing you up like an electric storm. Yet gentle enough to nurture you into a cradling embrace between swirls of said storm.
Relying on someone who only occasionally talked to you as her friend a few times to be your ground was…probably too much. Yet you couldn’t help it.
Either way, it wasn’t like you simply stared at her to get the stress of the cluttered workload off your shoulders. Of course, you did indulge in yourself quite a few times, even if that little voice urged you not to. Rocking your hips back and forth against the ridges of your fingers hilted deep inside your cunt as your legs parted on either side of the bed, sharp intakes of breath pumping through your nostrils in rapid successions.
Your mind would always wander to Miko’s gentle smile sadisticallly stretching her lips as her hand planted you down, imagining her long nails scratching along your warmth with each stroke, voice rasping out her name in the confines of your dorm on those particularly stressful nights.
Being the perhaps not-so-sweet angel you were, you’d feel that awful cramp of guilt clinging onto you every time you came, nervously looking down at your clear coated, slick fingers stringed with your juices as you feared her finding out somehow. Would she be disgusted? Would she never even look at you again? It really was too much to take in, chest lurching as you attempted to push away any thoughts to dive back into the depths of your study sessions again.
“(Name)…”
You were still lost in thought, contemplating upon every minuscule occurrence that snaked into your life.
“(Name).”
Was someone calling you? You were pretty out of it to notice as an odd ringing trickled into your ears slowly.
“(Name)!”
Your head finally shot up to the pink haired woman observing down before you, hands on her hips as her low cut shirt exposed slivers of her pale skin in the wake of sunlight outdoors. Glancing around, you noticed how it was nearly empty outside, before looking at your phone, panicked. Damn, you were so out of it you probably had a mini sleep in your whipped out daze.
“Miko..?”
She continued to stare down at you, allowing you to take her hand as she helped you up onto your feet, your books still clutched in a hook within your freehand. Rubbing your eyes, you squinted over your blurred vision to get a view of her, nearly panicking when you realized the situation you got yourself into as a consequence of the grueling night you spent staying up.
“Easy, (Name). You looked like you were about to pass out, darling.” She muttered in a low chuckle, your breath choking up at the mere pet name she threw out there.
“I have to-“
“Don’t bother. Let’s just skip together. I mean your professor won’t get off your ass if you don’t won’t he?”
You managed a tiny nod, tensing up as she grasped your hand boldly with that elegant smile of hers, stretching her peachy lips into a grin that beheld her sophisticated nature.
God, you were attracted to her like a sore loser.
Even in those little fantasies of yours that you had conjured up on stressful nights, nothing could rival the crashing wave of pleasure that coiled up between your thighs in this particular moment as Miko’s thumb pressed against the swollen nerves of your clit, teeth grazing along the deep, purple bruises littered freshly along your skin with her fingers lodged inside you.
Who knew that Miko’s innocent request to skip class and hang out would evolve into you being railed out in the open, shielded from few sets of eyes, yet easy enough for anyone to spot if they bothered to look.
She had originally led you to the balcony of a building through a fire exit that only faculty knew, the cool steel of the stairway smoothing your palms as you climbed up to behold the view of the entire campus. Kindly, she had offered up a firm cylinder that slipped between your fingertips almost naturally, not taking long for you to notice that it was in fact a cigarette.
Of course, you couldn’t turn down your crush casually handing you a smoke, an intimate gesture presiding within the palm of your hand as you saw it. Upon lighting it, you couldn’t miss the flicker of gold roused in her purple irises, staring at you with what you had perceived to be a sort of hunger to be satiated.
And you were in fact right.
Her lips against yours felt like a saccharine taste of a sweet you couldn’t quite put your finger on, yet one of which you savored as the unexpected motion lingered onto your tastebuds as something to commit to memory. You didn’t even hesitate when her nimble, slender fingers undressed you briefly, pulling your trousers down far enough to have access to your pussy, yet far enough up so you weren’t fully unclothed down your lower body.
Head blanking at the overwhelming sensations, you couldn’t manage out anything but pathetic squeaks and moans at her rapid pace, far too quick for a session that tore near pornographic moans out of your throat, yet occurred in a setting where any student could walk outside and see her fucking you against the cold stone of the grey railings.
Miko only chuckled at the pathetic compliance you exhibited before her as your fingers squeezed at her wrist, attempting to slow her unforgiving pace to no avail. Each obscene noise wrenched out of you only spurred the pink haired woman in her ruthless onslaught against your walls clenching around her digits, nails dragging along your g-spot, reached by the deliciously perfect length of her fingers.
Each sharp breath rolled off your tongue in motion with the squelching of slick pooling from between your thighs, Miko’s gentle praises mixed with her harsh words ringing in your ears at each fervent thrust of her fingers slamming up into you at a steady angle that brushed up against all the right places of your heat.
The familar build up in your stomach mirrored that of the various times you’d touched yourself thinking of Miko, yet you would’ve never imagined her actually being there to quench that thirst roaring in you for so long, eyes rolling back from the slightest push of her fingers, plush against the warmth your slick walls. The mushy texture nearly making her slobber all over your neck like her last meal before whispering out.
“Come on, you can cum for me before anyone sees, can’t you?” She purred, freehand brushing against your bottom lip in an attempt to alleviate the overwhelming pleasure flooding your whole body accompanied by coaxing more moans out of you. You only responded with a weak nod, hips harshly bucking foward into her fingers repeatedly.
Until you gradually sank down in one final thrust, lips pressed into an “o” shape as you cried out with your juices spilling down to decorate her knuckles, a small whimper rasping out of you as she withdrew her fingers from your hole. Her perfectly manicured, rose pink nails glossed over in a wet layer of your cum. Miko eyed her fingers with a satisfied expression, dragging her tongue along her middle and ring fingers as her gaze pierced into yours with that same hunger that she exhibited before doing...that with you.
Before you could utter out another word, Miko quickly shoved your textbooks back into your hand, which you barely were able to balance considering your legs were spent—and snapped back, helping you slip up your underwear and zipping you pants before squeezing your shoulder as crowds of students poured out back into the outdoors of campus.
“Not a word that we were here.”
Tumblr media
A/N: I have no words for this a/n. Only that I’m in a bad mood and this turned out shitty lmfao I absolutely despise how this fic turned out I’m sorry 😭
I sincerely apologize for the bad fic I will make up for it 🙏

"Tell us what we want to know, or he gets it." - Genshin Girls x Male!Reader
A/N: Trying a new format today - let me know if you would like to see more. Also, Reader is always the same species as the character in the pairing, ex.: Miko and a Kitsune Reader. Another thing, characters distinguished with color are those that would definetely act as described. Just thought I'd clear this up since many authors leave their readers guessing. Anyway, enjoy! CW: Angst, light whump. Mentions of torture without graphic descriptions, reader death.
Tumblr media
She has been captured, and the enemy demands information. Before long, however, she sees you - opposite her and in the same chains...
Tumblr media
Cracks Immediately
To be honest, they would have broken even without seeing you in danger. Though there are exceptions, most people - just like them - could not hold out under torture. It’s not a reason to be ashamed - especially if it results in not a hair falling from your head. The situation was distressing enough on its own, but with you she falls into a desperate panic. Whatever needs to be said to keep you safe, she’ll say - even if it will have consequences. As soon as she can, she will hug you tightly, never wanting to let go again. You’re her world, and her heart would fall to pieces if anything happened to you.
“Wait! I’ll tell you everything, j-just don’t hurt him!”
Characters: Furina, Noelle, Xiangling, Collei, Nilou, Sucrose, Fischl, Ganyu, Yoimiya, Kirara, Barbara, Xinyan, Yanfei, Yun Jin, Collei, Layla.
It's A Dealbreaker
Gritting their teeth and powering through torture, or at least trying to - that's what they did before you were introduced into the equation. They have secrets and ideas that they will protect with their life, but not yours. Never yours. They could never forgive themselves if they were the reason you suffered. But all of this, it's your fault. If you weren't so lovely, kind and caring, she would keep her lips sealed. Regardless, you're one weakness she doesn't mind.
“Ugh… Fine. I’ll talk, but keep your filthy hands off him.”
Characters: Emilie, Rosaria, Chiori, Beidou, Hu Tao, Ayaka, Shinobu, Mualani, Faruzan, Charlotte, Yae Miko.
They Can't Take It...
She is strong. She will endure whatever they throw at her. Even when they threaten you. She will look in your eyes and see mutual resolve. You can do it, both of you, she thinks. Except not. Even if you stay strong, she won't. She'll crumble. Screams, blood, tears, agony inflicted on you thanks to her. What has she done? You don't deserve it, you don't deserve anything else but love and comfort, not being made to suffer. She'll put a halt to it, she'll run to you and take your broken body in her arms. She'll tell you that it's okay, it's okay, I'm here. They won't hurt you any more.
“Stop! Stop, please! I’ll talk! Don’t you see he’s had enough?! Please…”
Characters: Amber, Lisa, Keqing, Shenhe, Kokomi, Ei, Kujou Sara, Candace, Lynette, Navia, Chevreuse, Chasca, Xilonen.
Standing Her Ground
This one knows what and who she's protecting. If what she knows falls into the wrong hands, hundreds could die. Surely you understand…? It's not right for you to be tangled into all of this. She's sorry, she really is, but she can't say anything. That doesn't mean she won't break down at the sight, that her very soul isn't pierced by every scream leaving your lips. Long after it's over, she won't be able to look you in the eyes with anything but shame. She did the right thing - she saved lives. But how can she feel any satisfaction when it’s you who paid the price? No matter if you forgive her or see no offense in her choice, your blood has been smeared across her mind and your pain will haunt her dreams until her last day. But whatever it may take, she will not let it happen again. Ever.
"I'm sorry, my love... I'm so sorry..."
Characters: Lumine, Jean, Mona, Eula, Yelan, Xianyun, Dehya, Clorinde, Mauvika.
Until Death Does Us Apart
Only when the last breath leaves your body does she shed tears. She kept her resolve strong. For you. Seeing her suffer would worsen your agony, filling your last moments with absolute despair. But she held out, allowing the sight of her features to guide you to your deserved rest. She will not ask for forgiveness, for there is nothing to forgive for - she did the right thing, kept to the word you’ve sworn. As a rose’s petals, her lips were sealed - and so were yours. You protected your people, your children, your nation. Although she does not have the power to bring back what they’ve taken, she will make sure the vengeance goes down in history. When the bodies of your killers turn cold, she will exile the weak and raze every yard of their home, pouring salt on the scorched earth so nothing may grow there again. Only then, when justice has been served, will she allow herself to mourn. Regardless of whether she comes back or crumbles in the mind, she will do so knowing that she did what she could for you.
Raiden Shogun: “A stalwart companion, to the last. You will pay his weight with blood, I will see to that.” Arlecchino: “You have left many orphaned today, Y/N. We will mourn your departure dearly. Rest well - know that o-our children are safe, my husband…” Ningguang: “You didn’t deserve this… Not in any world or by any design of the stars… Forgive me for loving you, Y/N. You would live no if not for me... I will make sure your sacrifice does not go in vain… I p-promise, Y/N.”

Thanks for reading.

Part 3- Unedited
I finished this chapter, finally! I was able to drag myself out of the black hole that is fanfiction. Sorry it took so long 😭😭😭
Remember, if you have any feedback, please tell me! Constructive criticism is my best friend.
--------------------------------
Optimus froze all at once. “...What. Do you. Mean.”
Solus threw herself into standing and paced wildly, dragging her hands through the long cords that covered her helm. “She will not die.”
Optimus wrinkled his brow. “Solus, are you feeling alright? Your spark may be all that is left of you, and you may lack a processor to corrupt–”
“I am not crazy!!” Solus abruptly screamed at him, hands clawed and raised halfway above her head. Optimus reared back, startled. “It is another process of the Armor. I’m not quite sure how I managed to create most of it in my addled state, my memories from that time are quite sparse, but I know that my coding is sound.
“When Miko goes to sleep tonight is when the Armor will begin to invade her body. As the Armor is covering her entire body, it will cut off and dispose of her clothing. It may decide to either burn them inside the armor or push them out, depending on what they’re made of. It will begin analyzing her body processes, determining where it needs to enter in order to siphon her mind from her organic body.”
“Siphon–” Optimus started, eyes wide. The older Prime slashed her hand in the air, cutting him off. He continued anyways. “Solus, I am very worried about this. I would prefer you tell me how to disable the Armor or damage it enough for us to remove it from her. Miko is certainly one for adventure, but I am certain that even she will become panicked at the prospect of staying trapped inside forever. It would be best if she was released and allowed to live out the rest of her life as an organic in peace.”
These were the wrong things to say. Solus went eerily still, and turned her face towards him slowly. Her expression was blank.
“Do… not… DARE TO PRESUME YOU HAVE ANY AUTHORITY TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!” The elder Prime thundered, her form growing larger and larger and larger above him until she was the size of a city-former. Optimus scrambled a few meters back, tripping over his own pedes and falling. Solus’ titanic hands slammed into the ground with enough force to send shockwaves vibrating through the ground and air.
Her wild yellow eyes glowed hellishly in the dark shadow of her face. “I AM ONE OF THE THIRTEEN PRIMES. I LIVED THOUSANDS OF TIMES LONGER THAN YOUR LIFETIME AS OF YET. I HAVE SEEN HORRORS YOU CANNOT EVEN DREAM OF! I AM THE ONE WHO GIVES YOU INFANTS WISDOM, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! YOU FORGET YOURSELF.”
Optimus’ jaw opened and closed soundlessly. Solus had never lashed out at him like this before.
“I… I am very sorry, Solus. I have grievously overstepped,” Optimus stammered softly, ashamed.
“For all the wisdom your team believes you possess,” Solus boomed above him, “I still have lifetimes more. You would do well to remember that, little brother.”
The younger prime nodded meekly.
Solus Prime stood once more, still unfathomably tall. She began to shrink again. “And, Optimus, as I have said already, multiple times, there is nothing that can be done. It has already locked her in, and the Apex Armor is indestructible. Miko will have all of eternity to come to terms with what is happening to her, even if she reacts badly.”
Returning to her normal size a few heads taller than Optimus, Solus summoned her chair back and sat as if nothing had ever happened.
“The nervous system is likely going to be the Armor’s first target. It will want to put in a connection as close as possible to her brain. Probably immobilize her neck and take out one of those little vertebrae covering her spinal cord,” Solus mused, chin in her hand.
“You… certainly know a great deal about human biology,” Optimus tentatively put out, pushing away that disturbing little tidbit of what might happen. Solus perked up at that.
“Oh, yes! You know we can see everything you see if we wish, even if you are not focusing on it. I in particular have been watching Ratchet’s research on human biology and medicine from the corner of your optics. Such interesting little creatures, and their biology is almost a perfect organic mirror of our own… Yes, I’m sure the entire process will be very quick and painless since it will be so easy to figure out!”
Optimus thought over this. “Very quick” for a Cybertronian could mean months or even years for this entire process to take place. He was going to break the news of this to Miko first, of course, and then to the rest of the team. Including Agent Fowler. Miko’s family, both her host parents and biological parents, would have to be brought in on the secret of the Cybertronians' existence on Earth. They would have to handle this all very delicately once he got the entire process out of Solus…
“Solus, if I may, when you said ‘siphon her mind out’ earlier, what precisely did you mean?” Optimus inquired.
“Her organic body is weak and fragile,” Solus said rather bluntly. ”It will not last long. Cells never do, even when they’re pumped full of life-giving chemicals. I certainly tried extending organic lifetimes during my period of insanity, but it was impossible.
“The Apex Armor, once it establishes the connection to the nervous system, will spend a bit simply learning how her body processes work through how the brain tells the body to perform its functions. It’ll observe how her neurons fire, how her digestive system works, her muscular system, everything. I programmed it to mimic organic digestive systems as closely as possible, for when she will run on energon. As for the muscular system, it only watches that to decide how best to alter her brain to connect directly to the suit’s motors and hydraulic system.
“At the beginning of the process, Miko will be able to feel the Armor’s surface and all its parts as if they were her own organic body parts. She will feel both of her bodies at once. Over time, as her body degrades naturally, it will separate her brain from her old body, numbing it to help the disconnection along. I imagine feeling yourself rot is rather disconcerting, even for her. It will keep her organic remains in a sealed pod; they will stay there forever. Her brain will be kept active and alive for much longer than her body. After all, that is where her mind will be for a long time.
“Despite the artificial longevity of her neurons the Armor will induce, they too will decay at some point. Before that time arrives, it will put her in a coma. Then, it will deepen the technorganic connection and download all of her memories, habits, personality traits, speech patterns, and all that she has learned over the course of her life into a processor the Apex Armor will build. The brain will be disposed of into the pod with the rest of the body.”
Optimus sat in shock for a long, long moment. “That is quite grisly, Solus. I do not know how to even begin to approach this topic with Miko.”
Solus chuckled. “Mmn, you may find it easier than you think. She might find it fascinating. From what I’ve observed of her behavior through your optics, there is a good chance she’ll be very excited to spend the rest of eternity with her Wrecker friends.”
Optimus smiled weakly, and stood up. “I had best leave now. Thank you for giving me the information about the Apex Armor, Solus.”
Solus waved her hand dismissively, also standing. “Ah, not a problem, Optimus.” She paused. “...Except for the part where you acted like you had authority over me.”
The younger Prime winced. “I apologized for that already.” His fellow Prime scoffed.
“You’ll need to try harder than that for me to forget,” Solus said, a wry smile on her face. She walked over to the Matrix-shaped door and opened it, stepping one foot in.
“Oh, Solus, one last question–” Optimus blurted. She turned back and raised an eyebrow at him. “What will she do when she outlives all of the rest of us? When she outlives all Cybertronians and organic species?”
“She can throw herself into the core of any blue star,” Solus replied. “That’ll be hot enough to melt her.” The dead Prime turned back to the door glumly and stepped the rest of the way through, slamming the door behind her.
Optimus stood in the “lobby” of the Matrix of Leadership, alone. The silence pressed in on him. He could hear quiet, very muffled talking emanating from behind the door. Sobbing, and Solus’ other siblings softly cooing comforting words to her.
He shut his eyes, dread pooling in his spark, and pulled his mind out of the Matrix.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 102 (More Winterfest in San Myshuno)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Early in the morning after Winterfest, Ray, the Landgraabs' driver, picked up Ash from Brindleton Bay. Heather was distracted on his arrival, because Lavender had woken and pulled herself up to sit for the first time. The family excitedly celebrated the milestone, but she dressed Ash as an afterthought, rushing to get him in clothes nicer than he ever wore in Brindleton Bay.
Nancy had rearranged her family's holiday celebration to ensure Ash was included, but she rolled her eyes in annoyance when he showed up in a grey and black suit. "I told Heather red or green for the portrait. Even John managed to find a red bow tie!"
Tumblr media
Malcolm groaned while his infant daughter, Bridgette, fussed in Miko's arms. "He looks fine, Mom. Just take the photo so we can change."
Controlling Nancy was very particular, and she spent the timer countdown trying to get Johnny and Eva's twin daughters to pivot from their positions on the floor. Nonetheless, this was the best photo Nancy was going to get, because her family was anxious to change into more comfortable clothes and move on to gifts, eating food, and yes, even hanging out with each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miko played songs on piano and practiced tummy time with Bridgette before her nap. Johnny introduced his sister to his youngest son with wife Eva, who was roughly the same age as Bridgette. "Deven Zest? You won't use your real name professionally, but you can't even give it to your children?"
"I didn't think you gave a crap what my kids were called, Nancy. You didn't say a word after the birth of Cristal and Noemi, and now you've got Ash and Bridgette to focus on."
Tumblr media
Nancy scowled. "You've made a nice family for yourself, John. I'd say I'm proud of you but for that to happen you'd have to apologize for trying to take me down more than once."
"And you'd have to apologize for punishing me every day of my life for our mother's death."
Nancy pursed her lips. "Well...Happy Winterfest, John. Maybe this year you'll finally get that headline comedy special you've always dreamed about."
Tumblr media
Ash hung out with his second cousins - Johnny and Eva's five-year-old twin daughters, Noemi (the blonde) and Cristal (with black hair). "What's it like to go to school in a big city?"
"We take the subway to school every morning," said Noemi. "And there are lots of basketball courts on the pavement outside."
"I go to school on a boat every day," said Ash. "To an island with a cemetery for dead pets!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The girls thought this was weird and fascinating, and they swapped stories of what life was like in their respective hometowns. They knew little of their family drama and kept to themselves, uninterested in the conversations being had by all the boring grown-ups.
Geoffrey gave his wife a copy of Layla Delarosa's latest bestseller, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang: Origins. The outgoing CEO made no secret of her appreciation for smutty fiction, and she flirted shamelessly with Geoffrey by their giant windows. "The last time you read a Layla Delarosa book, we learned to do that," Geoffrey recollected with a smile.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Malcolm cuddled his sleepy daughter, rolling his eyes at his parents, and Miko pulled a gift from under the tree for Ash. "It's a little something extra from your dad and me. I found it when I was going through some boxes in storage."
Ash opened the gift and glanced at the photograph inside with confusion. "Who are these kids?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Malcolm turned from the sofa. "That's a picture of Conrad and me when we were kids. We thought you might want to hang it up in you and Bridgette's room now that it's finished."
Ash could hardly comprehend the idea that his father and stepfather had ever been so young, and he studied the photo in detail. "Were you two friends?"
Tumblr media
"We were friends, and we're still close now because we both care about you."
"Are you hang out friends like me and Arron Kalani or Scotti Holiday?"
"Not really. We live too far away from each other to be hang out friends."
Ash nodded. "Like me and Pearl Richards," he said cheerily.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Heather and Conrad arrived soon after with Lavender, and Eva greeted her excitedly. "Please don't take this the wrong way, but it's nice to have someone else here who Nancy loves to insult."
Heather laughed. "As fun as it sounds to listen to Nancy all night, we're not staying long. We've got to get to my sister's place across town before she puts her girls to bed."
In the kitchen, Malcolm caught up with Conrad. Though his every promotion to investigative reporter had been the result of nepotism and not hard work (really true, I cheated it up every time), somewhere along the way he'd learned how to do his job. "So there haven't been many updates about the body that was found by the pier in Brindleton Bay."
Tumblr media
"I can't talk about an active case file, Malcolm."
"I'm not asking as a reporter. I'm asking whether Brindleton Bay is safe enough for my son."
"Of course it is. It's not descending into lawlessness because a body turned up at the docks."
Conrad's stomach twisted. It seemed he was always lying to someone, but his captain would fire him without a second thought if he revealed a word of the case to a reporter for a news organization as biased and unprincipled as Simlandia National.
Tumblr media
"What are you guys talking about?" Ash interrupted, and Conrad was grateful Malcolm had no interest in discussing a murder investigation in front of his son. "Are you being hang out friends?"
"We are," said Malcolm. "We were just talking about work. Boring stuff that grown up friends like to talk about."
"You should do jobs you think are more fun. Like running a bouncy castle! Can you imagine?"
He laughed excitedly at his idea and they left the Landgraabs in good spirits. They arrived at Uncle Karl and Mortimer's penthouse in the Arts Quarter when Lavender was ready for a bottle and her afternoon nap.
Tumblr media
Infant Betta
vs.
Infant Holly
Tumblr media
Heather marveled at how much little Betta looked like her mother as a baby, pulling up an old photo on mom Daisy's Social Bunny account of Holly in her crib with a dirty diaper at the same age.
Ash shared silly conversation with his cousin, Tetra, who was only three and still learning to speak. Conrad chatted with Karl and Mortimer, finding true crime-loving Karl just as curious about the murder investigation in Brindleton Bay as Malcolm had been. "No arrests yet. But maybe one day they'll make a doc about the case - hopefully after we've solved it."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Please do solve it soon," Mortimer pleaded gently. "I'd hate to see Brindleton Bay step back into its more lawless times of the past. Especially with most of my family still in town."
Lavender woke then from her nap, buoyant and giddy as usual, and Heather's Uncle Karl took the chance to cuddle her. Sometimes, he regretted missing out on having children of his own, but sharing such a close bond with his nieces, nephew, and their children was a fitting consolation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Brindleton Bay is in good hands," Conrad said assuredly. "Not just me, but we've got a great team. We'll get to the bottom of the case."
Back Uptown, Malcolm put Bridgette to bed. He was still thinking about the body in Brindleton Bay, and Miko could tell it was bothering him. "Maybe you should start making calls," she suggested.
"Simlandia National only wants me investigating political activists."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"So what? If you follow your instincts and find a story, they'll run with it. Simlandia National loves an unsolved murder case."
Malcolm considered his wife's advice with a smile, leaving to do some research on the computer as their daughter slept peacefully in her crib. Malcolm wasn't supposed to work independently, but he had a feeling there was more to the investigation at the pier than anyone was letting on.
Tumblr media
For the sake of his son and the story, Malcolm decided to follow his hunch. ->
<- Previous Chapter | Gen 2 Start | Gen 1 Summary | Gen 1 Start
NOTE: The awkward placement of the family portrait (not centred, Nancy holding nothing where a toddler should be but there are none) is due to me making a first attempt at combining poses to make a full portrait. Ash, Nancy, Geoffrey, Noemi, and Cristal are posed using the Imperial Dynasty posepack by @beto-ae0, and I used @rebouks Infant Insanity Family Photos posepack twice (same pose as the one I used for Heather, Conrad, Ash and Lavender in their holiday pj's) for Malcolm, Miko, Bridgette, Deven, Eva, and Johnny.
Also! I dressed up everyone in the Landgraab and Zest households for the photo and completely forgot about Ash before I set the poses and didn't want to set it up again, so I am once again blaming one of my sims for my own failings. 😂
NOTE 2: As for the clothing changes kind of going back and forth, I filmed events in one order and wrote events in a different order and when I realized it, I just kinda shrugged it off because I was already laser-focusing on getting later posts queued up. It all happened the same day, at least!

Mami Miko:
Summary: mornings with your wife and daughter 🥹
Warnings: fluffy wife and mami Miko 🥰🙈
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
——————————————————————————
The early morning light spills gently through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the cozy bedroom where you find yourself enveloped in warmth. The rhythm of the gentle waves outside provides a soothing soundtrack as you lie nestled next to your wife, Miko. Despite her tough persona as a confident rapper, right now, she’s simply your sweet, sleepy partner, her strong body relaxing peacefully beside you.
Just as you start to drift into the realm of dreams once more, you feel a small, wiggly body climbing onto the bed. You crack one eye open to see your daughter, Camila, her big, curious eyes shining with mischief. She giggles softly, her tiny form climbing over Miko’s still-snoozing frame, clearly eager for her morning cuddles.
As Camila settles on Miko’s side, her little fingers poke playfully at her mother’s cheek before she leans down to whisper, “Mami, wake up!”
Miko cracks an eye open, her lips curling into a smirk as she pretends to stir and roll over. “No, no, Mami’s still sleeping,” she says in a deep, dramatic voice, pulling the covers up over her head as if avoiding being disturbed. Camila giggles, clearly not buying the act.
In a flash, Miko seizes the moment, exposing her arms and launching into a surprise tickle attack on Camila, the sheets flying off to reveal the playful side of her personality. “¡Aha! Gotcha, mi amor!” she exclaims, her laughter ringing in the sunny room as Camila erupts into squeals of delight, squirming away from Miko’s gentle but relentless fingers.
“Mami! Stop!” Camila squeals, half-laughing and half-pleading, her joy so infectious that you can’t help but smile widely as you watch the playful scene unfold. Miko’s demeanor shifts seamlessly from fierce to soft and sweet, her eyes sparkling with love and mischief.
“Make me, pequeña!” Miko challenges playfully, exaggerating her tough-girl attitude even while she’s cradling the light of both your lives in her arms. With every tickle, Miko’s strong, tattooed arms cradle Camila protectively, reminding you of the strength and tenderness she can embody at the same time.
“Help, Mama!” Camila cries out between giggles, looking over at you with wide, pleading eyes.
You chuckle softly, shaking your head as you sit up and join in the fun, “Oh no! What am I going to do?” you feign panic, grabbing a pillow and joining the fray. The room fills with laughter as the three of you tumble in a delightful whirlwind of pillows and cuddles.
Miko leans against you as you both play with Camila, her head resting against your shoulder, and again you’re reminded of how perfect these moments with your family are.
“I love our mornings,” she murmurs, her voice softening as she glances over at you, her fierce exterior replaced by a tenderness that melts your heart.
“Me too, Miko,” you respond, reaching out to caress her cheek softly. “You’re such a great mom.”
“Yeah? I try,” she replies modestly, the corners of her mouth lifting in a shy grin. “But I can’t do it without my pequeña.”
“Mama!” Camila calls again, laughter still spilling from her lips as she playfully squirms between you both, her cheeks flushed with joy.
“Sí, camina como una reina!” Miko laughs, her accent adding a hint of playful flair as she lifts Camila into her arms, parading her around like a little queen.
As you settle back on the pillows, watching Miko and Camila play and share joyous giggles, your heart swells with gratitude for the beautiful life you’ve built together. The bonds of love, laughter, and affection in your family are unbreakable, each moment woven intricately into the fabric of your lives.
“Okay, little queen, what do you want for breakfast?” Miko asks, setting Camila back down, her strong arms still ready to scoop her back up if needed. “Pancakes or toast?”
“Pancakes!” Camila shouts enthusiastically, jumping up and down with delight. “Con chispas de chocolate!”
“Pancakes it is! Let’s get this kitchen party started!” Miko declares, her playful spirit igniting the morning with energy.
You smile at their antics, feeling the warmth of love wrapping around you like a soft embrace. In these moments, the world outside doesn’t matter; it’s just the three of you, navigating life’s adventures together. And whether it’s through tickle battles, pancake breakfasts, or simply the precious quiet moments in between, you know that every bit of your life is filled with the sweet chaos and pure joy of family.

Hiiii may I request Inyo headcanons? General or relationship, whichever you feel like :))
Of course!! It's been a while since I last posted, so i feel that my writing has gotten rusty😭 Anyway, I hope you like this. Inyo General Headcanon ------->
Tumblr media
In the comics, she was a friend of both Miko and tiger. So my guess is that she is about 27 years old??
Which is a bit younger compared to the other coaches
Cognito Fc were pretty hesitant at first when they found out that she was the coach because of her age.
Whatever happened between Inyo Tiger and Miko made Inyo very bitter sweet towards them.
The show doesn't show any interaction between them, so guess we will never know
Not sure what her ethnicity might be, but she is currently living in Peru (Home ground of Cognito FC)
Hobbies: Photography and any type of research (mostly scientific)
Favorite Food: Croissant
Least fav: Hamburgers (doesn't like getting her hands greasy)
I feel like she used to have many dreams and aspirations as a kid, and her career ideas always changed.
So now whenever she has to sabotage Supa Strikas she chooses her ex-dream careers, like therapist, real estate agent, etc
Very manipulative but also very ladylike
No, no to physical touch
Like seriously, look at her 😭
Tumblr media
Doesn't know what to do when she sees someone upset/ crying. She just stands there awkwardly and goes
“Do you want a napkin?” 🧍🏻‍♀️
She is a girl boss, tho
Very committed to her towards other "careers"
She is probably one of the coach who would put THAT much effort BY THEMSELVES for their team to win
She treats the other coaches as if they are low-life peasants, but to the actual players, she is nice
Can we talk about her outfit???
Def has the best character design in the whole show (fight me if you disagree)
Thank you for reading!!! @isopropan0l

Extended Family (TfP x HoO/ PJ)
Everyone wants a little excitement from time to time. Why not? Our lives are boring beyond belief otherwise, surely a bit of relieve and change from our usual life is warranted.
While the majority of us would readily agree with that sentiment, some others do not. They'd rather appreciate some peace and quiet away from the adrenaline that lights their frazzled nerves and has hairs stand up in alert. For those living on the edge, having a day that follows their expectations would be considered a holiday.
Miko Nakadai would likely fit in with the majority of earth's youth, seeking thrills and connection, bringing her phone with her to make herself known and dream. Rafael Evalesque (?) is right behind her on the want for recognition and wanting to be needed, though he can go with some peace too.
Jack Darby had been indecisive as a child, prayed any kind of small adventure past his home, but now he can readily claim he falls right in the latter category.
He didn't want the drama that seized his life--their guests from space bringing an intergalactic war with them wasn't as appealing to him as it was for Miko. Sure, the company of the Autobots is something Jack Darby can admit he wants to keep - their friendship a light to his old days he would rather not miss.
Jack Darby is also tired of fighting in wars. Wars, plural. It's no surprise he can remain as calm as he does in critical situations, considering his background. That he took leadership when he and the younger teens are left on their own goes beyond instinct. It's practiced, muscle-memory and experience calling him to stand. Neither is the fact that he can claim responsibility for his faults and honor alongside their achievements unusual. He's well beyond his peers in terms of maturity.
Jack Darby has a mother who works as a nurse, always working a late shift most nights and early mornings - so he doesn't see her much nowadays, even when he was younger.
His dad walked out on them, he lost him when he was much too young to remember his voice.
During those years they hadn't yet lived in Jasper, but New Jersey till he was 14 years old.
He got a few things he still keeps with him from his old home: a bead necklace with sword keychain. He never took it off, and he added beads on the anniversary of his childhood friend's death.
He'd lived while he died.
He lives with his memory following him.
Well, that, and a tattoo he had to beg his mom to allow him to get. He got it the last week before they moved to Jasper, on his lower hip. He's proud of both mementos, even if it sometimes makes him feel as though he's carrying a tombstone around with him.
Considering how many friends died as he grew up, how many funerals he's witnessed, it must be. But hey, this way they might see the world with him if he drags their spirits along a little.
He hesitated one time too many when he was younger.
He learned as he grew older.
He doesn't want the weight to increase. He won't let it.
He's tired of losing and regretting.
It's when it is revealed that the Earth's core isn't what it seems, but a Cybertronian deity -Unicron- that Jack decides to call in some much needed help.
He walks away from the monitor, grabbing his phone.
"Jack, where do you think you are going?" His mom asks.
Without stopping or turning around to face her he continues his trek, swinging the device for her to see and taps his waist, just shy of his lower hip. He stops to look over his shoulder, and his eyes hold steel to them that matches Megatron's own armor. "Calling my cousin."
Her lips purse in worried displeasure; he pointedly glanced at the monitors displaying giant stone warriors whack his friends around.
"For a house call? I didn't know you had an uncle." Miko questions, though her attention is quickly gone by the damage her partner is receiving on screen. She can hear his pain.
An almost shy smile grew on his face "Something like that." He checks for June's approval and finds resigned acceptance. She's not happy, but she understands his reasoning.
He continues past Ratchet's workstation, grabs his wallet before going down the ladder and into an adjoined tunnel. When he's sure he's deep enough that he won't be seen or heard, he pockets his phone and reaches for the hard coins.
He thinks of who would be best to call, and who'd likely believe his story. But then he decides it doesn't matter, they probably know already. He flips a large golden coin and prays.
"Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, let me see He who escaped the Pits and bridged worlds."
The coin flickers, disappears and the air displaces like the northern lights, a myriad of colors blurry like a fresh hot shower. An echo of noise and metal comes through it, colors and shapes taking transparent forms until he can see the raven hair that nearly matches his own.
He smiles, eyes bright at the sight of the adolescent as well as the clash of distant bronze steel. If he tries, he can smell the sweat and blood, pine wood and small flowers he knows linger around the arena.
"Am I interrupting something?"
A startled yelp from the man and a sword goes flying as it's smacked out of his grip.
The man lets out a slight curse before rounding his annoyance on the projection: "Who the brick thinks it's a good idea to call me at noon??"
Jack has the decency to look sheepish, rubbing his neck "Hello, Commander. This is Jack."
The green-eyed male frowns, confusion plain on his face.
"Uhh, should I have expected a call from you? Or do you have troubles on a quest?"
Just as Jack shakes his head to reply the other turns around, looking over his shoulder.
"Hey 'beth, who left on a quest this week?"
A blonde with stormy grey eyes joins the call, and he gives a firm nod in greeting. She looks him over critically, the way one does when seeing a problem laid out for her to solve. Her eyes land on the necklace and widen in surprised recognition.
"Jackson? I thought you were at Camp Jupiter?"
He winced, pointing between him and the raven haired man. "Please, it's Jack. Jackson makes it awkward for the both of us." So what if his full name is Jackson - it's trouble and a mouthful and then some!! The misunderstandings of the past cause him to cringe even now.
He straightens, remembering that Annabeth Chase doesn't like being left for an answer.
"And I'm calling for an assist - the cavalry, if you will; Has there been a prophecy for any impending disasters?"
He's not asking for anything natural, cuz the Autobots and their kind certainly aren't of Earth to count as such... Even moreso considering humans inhabit what could be considered the skin of their creators anti-thesis. It's a headache just thinking how that works with the different pantheons. Something is seriously messed up.
Percy sighs in the way that tells of too much weight put on too small shoulders far too soon.
"A warning of sorts and all that, yeah--got any clues to give?"
Jack snorts derisively; does he??
"A whole ass reason that'll tear and burn the Big House down, actually."
"Wait up, we're going to Chiron."
Jack nods and watches them race out of the arena, passing by houses and Campers alike.
He drinks in the familiar landmarks and the new faces until old wood replaces them, his projection following the two young adolescents smoothly.
Soon after he knows they are in a wooden house as it's owner's hooves patter slightly and he sees the trainer of heroes still looking as he first met him.
He missed seeing him too.
"You say you know what's causing this?" The centaur asks.
Jack gulps, looking distinctly like he wants to plead amnesty in the sense of 'don't kill the messenger of bad news'.
"We won't like this. And neither will the gods stand for it."
"What happened?" Annabeth demands, sensing the weight of his statement. It's never good when more than one god is involved, and less if all of them are displeased over something. Percy, and everyone in both camps, can attest to that. It adds to their work and the danger of the mission. (Honestly, the chaos they cause without the gods meddling is bad enough.)
"Remember when I said that I moved to Jasper? Well, it's relatively monster free, but something else more than makes up for the lack."
Jack looks back, strains his ears and eyes but doesn't find anything suspicious. Nobody followed him to eavesdrop on his call. The echoing hallway relays worried chatter, muffled grunts and sharp blaster fire from the coms. Jack stalks a little closer to the main room as he turns back to his audience.
Tense silence follows him as they let him assess the safety of his surroundings; he knows they're ready and waiting for his report. Will he get in trouble for it? Yes, but the threat applies to them as well and they have a right to be informed. His friends could use the backup too.
He is prepared to spill the military secret, moving slow as he speaks, giving them a candid view of the military base and groundbridge. "Autonomous tech-organisms -effectively Extraterrestrials, Aliens if you will- with their own war raging, have their base set up here. And guess what?"
Annabeth gives him a critical look as Percy seems to stumble over his words, ADHD-riddled brain very much working against him in this situation whereas Chiron looks on in anticipated trepidation.
He looks straight at him, voice firm in the same way as when he gave his reports in the Battle of Manhattan. "Gaea is one of their gods, known as Unicron: God of Destruction."
He grabs his phone, showing the pictures he took of the others fighting the stone titans as well as the footage of the earth's core being relayed live on screen.
"We need a council of both camps effective immediately."
Btw, in case some of y'all have seen them before (though I haven't published them there yet) some of these stories are excerpts or inspired from FF I've written on Wattpad.

What if in the TFP Human Daemon AU, the bots and their Daemon land on Earth in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse.
The Daemon are immune to the infection but can be fatally wounded if bitten in a critical spot.
They find survivors though, among them Jack, Miko, and Raf, who as young as they are managed to try and survive the world overrun by the dead and even help the bots and their Daemon when faced with dangers of the apocalypse.
How do the bots and their Daemon react to this?
-Optimus have always been great with his words but seeing the situation on Earth... it leaves him speechless. Humans are not daemons but they are people. At least, they WERE people, before the virus changed them. People with hopes and dreams, family and friends. And he can't even imagine the terror they must have felt. The fact that there are survivors speak not only of the strength of humanity but also serve as a testament of their willpower. Optimus is determined to protect the survivors and help them create a safe hold where the undead can't reach them.
His daemon feels the same way Optimus does and works side by side with the survivors to help them. Prepares the base in case more survivors are found in the future and plans to turn it into a long term, self sustained settlement. Does not want the children to fight the zombies but at the same time knows that they need to know how to protect themselves in case anything happens so she allows them to observe when the autobots fight zombies.
-Ratchet is familiar with disease, with viruses and plagues. At this point he had thought himself numb to the horrors of it. But he's never seen anything like this before. An infection that not only kills but reanimates the victims that then seek out the living to add them to their undead horde. He can't think of a pathogen more sinister. He had given up hope that any humans had survived but upon finding the children, he vows to never let anything happen to them. He's fiercely protective and refuses to let them leave base unattended, scared that they will be attacked by zombies and left defenseless. In fact, he does not want them to leave base at all but the children are stubborn and he knows that if they try and stop them, they will most likely sneak out on their own.
Ratchet's daemon is somehow even more protective of the children but also takes on a more caretaker role in this AU, since there most likely are no human adults around. Together with Ratchet, she searches for a cure or at the very least a vaccine.
-When Bumblebee sees the remnants of a civilization so full of life, he feels sick just imagining what happened. Sometimes when he sees a zombie he can't help but wonder who they used to be. What their name was, their favorite color, if they had any hobbies. If there's anything left of them or are they just a walking corpse. Prefers not to kill zombies unless he has to, simply because he's got a hard time not seeing them as people. Super protective of the kids and tries to protect them, not just physically but mentally as well. Will block their sight if or ask them to look away if he's got to kill some zombies, simply because he does not think it's good for them to see that.
While Bumblebee refrains from killing zombies, his daemon goes for it. Not because they like it, but to protect the kids and any other potential survivors out there. It weighs heavy on her every time she does it because just like Bumblebee, she can't stop seeing them as people.
-At first, Bulkhead has a bit of a hard time connecting the zombies to the humans they used to be. He knows they weren't always the walking corpses they are now but it's hard to think of them as anything else when there's no life in their eyes. It's only when the team finds the kids that it clicks for him. Oh. Oh. Now he feels sick and it hurts to think about it because what if the team hadn't foind the kids in time? What if they had been bitten, become one of the horde? Bulkhead will never allow that to happen. He's violently protective when it comes to the kids, displaying no mercy when dealing with the undead.
His daemon is the same, always putting herself between the kids and the zombies, shielding them with her own body. She also teaches them how to fight, how to create makeshift weaponry and armor. As much as she loathes to admit it, she knows that she won't always be there to protect them so the best she can do is prepare them for when that day comes.
-Arcee kills any infected she comes across. She wants to put them out of their misery, knowing that if the situations were switched, she would want someone to do the same to her. Becoming an undead thrall, a slave to instinct, the thought scares her. She never wants to see anyone she cares about experience that. That's why she's so protective of the kids. Arcee is scared that if they were to turn, she would not have the strength to put them out of their misery. She gets mad when they leave the base simply because she keeps imagining the worst case scenario.
Arcee's daemon tries not to be overprotective and instead turns his energy to teach the kids how to survive. Not just fighting but how to forage for supplies, how to start a fire and make traps. It helps ease his worries, knowing that even without the autobots, they wouldn't be helpless.

now my life is sweet like cinnamon, like a fuckin' dream i'm living in - genshin fic
ft. yae miko, ei, zhongli, jean, neuvilette
summary: they've left the universe, but are still watching you from above <3 (letters from them to you after they're gone, take that as you will, but it is heavily implied that they are dead)
YAE MIKO! my dearest yn, i have so much to tell you. there's so much i've seen here, and i wish with all my heart that you could be here with me. don't get me wrong, little one, i do believe you should stay a little longer, just to experience the whole of teyvat (and please send me all your stories, i just love reading them over fried tofu), but it'd be nice to have someone here with me to experience these wonderful things. i've met some old friends now, and we've caught up on so much. who knew a few hundred years could change someone so drastically, yet retain their essence? i wonder when you journey here, will you still be the same? oh, it'd be interesting, don't you think? it'd make a terrific novel. 'world-renowned traveller traverses the afterlife, how do they fare?', a fine title for an article, isn't that right? well, i should probably get going now. there's so much to do, and so much to see. do tell ei to write me back sometime, it would be lovely to hear from her again. and you, little one, should write to me too. hehe, the stories from your travels are always amusing, after all. with love, fried tofu with all the frills
EI! dear yn, how have you been? it must be awfully tiring, travelling around. i do hope you get the proper rest you need. there's always desserts in inazuma, feel free to stop by and help yourself to some. oh, and how is little paimon doing? i remember she quite enjoyed the sweets we shared on a number of our walks. frankly, it's been rather relaxing here. i enjoy it very much. it would be a great pleasure if you could visit one day, but that'd mean your journey would come to an end, and i know you have your sibling to find. i am regretful that i am unable to provide much information on her, but i've heard stories of a traveller very much like you, from centuries ago. they say that the traveller was brave, valiant and kind-hearted, much like you. it is at times like these that i realise i have missed so much, meditating in the plane of euthymia. i dearly wish that i had more time with my people, and you, of course, to truly understand the wonders of this world. do that for me, won't you? live your life out to the fullest. do not leave behind any regrets. and when we meet again, you will tell me all about your adventures. oh, and bring some desserts for me, please. thank you. yours sincerely, ei
ZHONGLI! yn, it has been a while since we last corresponded. how have you been doing? i heard that you are currently in fontaine. it is a beautiful place, i must admit. one full of history and culture and stories. if we have time, let us sit down with osmanthus wine and i shall tell you the stories i've heard. there's a story told in liyue, of a man who plays the guqin and another, a lumberjack, who understood his playing. it is said that the guqin player and the lumberjack agreed to meet at the very place they met a year later. tragically, the lumberjack met his end before he could fulfill this promise. wrecked with grief, the guqin player vowed to never touch even a string again, destroying his instrument, for what use would there be if there was no one else who would understand him? hearing this story again, it reminded me of you. who else had such empathy that they could understand the will of the divine? that said, you do have many other nations in teyvat to explore. throughout your journey, you will meet gods in disguise, and mortals disguised as gods. you will meet the soft-hearted, and the cruel. and you will survive it all, for you are an adventurer, above gods and deities, above the Heavenly Principles. please do visit me when you have time. i'd love to have a drink or two with you someday. and if you could, do check up on liyue sometime. i know they are well, but as a mortal, i never got the chance to experience it fully. it would mean a lot if you could do it in my stead. childe should have enough funds, should you need any. yours, zhongli
JEAN! my lovely yn, i heard you are doing well. that's good to hear, really. your job as an adventurer comes with its risks, and though they may not show it, but the knights of favonius often worry about your safety. haha, on more than one occasion, i've caught a few of them in the tavern wondering about you. do visit mondstadt more often to put their mind at ease, yeah? speaking of mondstadt, how are things over there? i left in such a rush that i wonder if things are frenzied. oh, i know i shouldn't worry, but i don't want everyone to pick up after me. you know how lisa hates doing work. kaeya's often busy too, travelling to sumeru and whatnot. albedo and sucrose are often busy with their experiments too, so i doubt they'd have time. and amber! how is she? poor girl, i heard her father passed on recently. she will get through it, i'm sure. and little klee, oh, i hope someone's able to keep her company. ah, am i rambling too much? i apologise, i've just been so worried over them. if you don't mind me asking, how has barbara been? i was her only family, since she isn't that close to the ragndinvr brothers, but i was always swamped with work. i do hope she's doing better. i never did get the chance to say i'm proud of all that she's accomplished now, did i? in that sense, i think i've failed terribly. enough about me, though. where has the wind taken you to? what else have you seen? and paimon, she's still with you, isn't she? take care of each other, both of you. come back to mondstadt when you need a break, its doors are always open for you. i hope to see you again, dear yn. may the wind bless your travels. best regards, jean gunnhildr NEUVILETTE! dear yn, ahem, is that how you start an informal letter? i apologise in advance, i am unused to sending such letters. now that you have left fontaine, things have strangely been a little duller. i often find myself looking up from my desk, waiting to see your face as you hand over a bottle of water from yet another one of your travel destinations. i thought i had sampled water from all over, but alas, you have once again proven me wrong. it was always a delight, however, to watch your expressions as i comment on the taste. i think, in some ways, it has helped me identify the subtle cues of humans. for example, when you lean in just a little when i speak, it shows your interest in my opinion. conversely, when your fingers start fidgeting, i know i've overstepped. i do not wish to bore you with an incredibly long letter, so i shall keep this as concise as possible. as you travel across teyvat, you will face victories and defeat. i know that your fairy companion will, sooner or later, tell you this, but you need to know that you are a traveller unlike any other. you are stronger than most, kinder than most. your strengths are built from your weaknesses, so one loss is just another stepping stone. with that said, i wish you all the best in your travels. when the time comes, let us sit down and have a meal, my treat. warmest regards, neuvilette
a/n: the story mentioned in zhongli's part is actually true! it's about 伯牙, a guqin player who wrote 水仙操 and 钟子期, a woodcutter. their story is more about their devotion towards each other as friends despite the staggering difference in class. you can read about them here.

Breaking up with them - Kujou Sara
CW: Minor violence, Male!Reader.
Tumblr media
Kujou Sara had a tough exterior, but beneath all of her formality and responsibility she was just like any human. You've come to learn that through the few years of your relationship. You took your time with her, giving her lots of space and time to get comfortable, at her own pace. She opened herself up more and more, until a golden ring found her finger. Sara welcomed it with great happiness. It was all perfect, and everyone wished you well.
Until the decrees were established.
With the introduction of the Sakoku Decree nothing changed. She was still yours, and you were still hers. The problems started when the Shogun announced the Vision Hunt Decree. All Visions, the proclaimed "obstacles of eternity" were now illegal to have - including your Electro one.
You got it in the early years of your relationship. Sara was out on a walk with you, and a group of Hilichurls attacked you, a Lawachurl among them. She fought valiantly, protecting you, a mere sword in hand, from the monsters. But it soon proved to be far too much, and escape was not an option - the retreat was blocked by vines summoned by a Samachurl. Both of you were about to die, but then the Shogun granted you one of her Visions, letting your shield Sara from harm.
The Vision, the sign of divine recognition granted by Inazuma's Archon herself, was the essence of your love for her. It contained all of your hopes and dreams, all of the beautiful memories you shared, all the laughs and tears… Everything. Losing it would mean losing your goals, your memories, and along with them - the bond between you and her, as well as the future you could share.
You couldn't let it go. For her own good. For Celestia's sake, The Shogun herself granted you the Vision! Why would she now want to take it away?
The Vision was your very soul, your love for Sara. There was no way you would let it be taken, no matter if it would cost you your life. Living without love, without her, would be pointless anyway.
You've vigilantly kept your ear to the ground, looking out for any early warning sounds. Before any of them hit you, you established a connection with the Kamisato Clan that promised to keep you hidden and smuggle you out of Narukami should things go south. Soon enough, you started hearing about Visions of family members of officials being confiscated. You alerted Ayato, and packed your things in secret.
Things got uneasy between the two of you. Shared meals were ominously quiet, until one day she just told you that your name was on the list. You kept your true intentions hidden, pretending to be okay with giving it away. She fell for that.
The day finally came. Sara arrived at your shared home in the middle of the day - a thing she would not have done without a clear, important reason. She always believed that time of work should be entirely devoted to it, free of any distractions. Those "distractions", of course, didn't involve your daily lunch break.
You heard her come through the front door, and quickly went over your equipment again. Feeling that everything was in place and ready to go, you drew a shaky breath. The execution of your plan would require nerves of steel and no hesitation on your side.
Sara stepped into your bedroom. You didn't bother to turn around to meet her eyes. You knew what her next words would be.
"Let's… get this over with, Y/N. Please." She sounded exhausted, defeated. Yet just the fact that she was standing here proved that her loyalty lie not with you, but with the Shogun.
She valued an abusive, neglectful god over the love of her life. At your inquiry, Miko revealed all. She revealed that Ei, the real Archon of Inazuma, probably didn't know that your girlfriend even existed. Sara was blissfully unaware of that fact. She didn't even dare to question the sudden change of heart her superior had. She never reflected in how evil the Decree was. She just executed orders, preferring not to doubt her ruler's judgment.
You sighed, clenching your fists to keep your voice steady. Emotions raged within your body. Stress. Sadness. Anger.
You turn to her, gaze finding hers. Without a word, you unattach the gemstone from your hip, and push it into her chest. Despite all your preparations, despite all the times you went over this scenario in your mind, tears still found their way into your eyes.
Sara was visibly hesitant to take the Vision. Perhaps the consequences of her actions and beliefs momentarily made their way into her mind. The mind of a blind executioner. The mind of a tool, a card played by her idol.
Your heart was beating fast as you walked past her. She just stood there, tears flowing down her cheeks. Her mind was still struggling to process the tragic choice she faced, and the decision she made. Your heart ached at the sight of her so distraught, but you knew it wasn't a time for weakness.
You were doing this for her, even if right now she was your opponent. Maybe, you hoped, maybe someday she will understand the error of her ways.
You silently turned around, and raised your right arm. She was too deep in thought and emotion to notice the shadow on the floor rising.
With a quick and powerful movement, you hit the side of her throat with your forearm. She yelped and staggered, but another hit caused her to fall face first into the bed, and slide harmlessly to the floor. You checked to see if she had a pulse, and found it. The Shuumatsuban taught you well, it seems.
You had to move quickly, she wouldn't be unconscious for long.
With practiced ease, you pull out the small spool of rope from your pockets and move to tie her hands in front of her chest, followed by the legs and ankles. You stuffed her mouth with a clean sock and secured it in place with a cloth over her mouth. You picked up your own Vision, moving to take hers as well. Not out of malice, however. You needed an effective cover for your escape. Picking up the bag that you prepared beforehand from the closet, you spoke to the unconscious Sara.
"I'm sorry. I hope you will understand."
You march out of your house with a racing heart. The most painful part of the plan was completed flawlessly, but you needed to fool the guards she undoubtedly brought along as well. Behind the front door you saw them - two armored samurai with grim expressions and weapons on hand.
As you closed the door, their attention immediately turned to you. You moved towards them quickly, making your best effort to appear confident. You grabbed the hand of one of the surprised men, and placed Sara's Vision in his palm. The soldier inspected it for a second, before he calmed down. A sigh left his lips and he looked up at you.
"Thank you for your cooperation, sir." He said, his voice nearly a whisper.
"The general is still inside. She needs a moment." You said with a steady, authoritative voice. Then, you groaned. "You have what you came here for. What else do you want? Maybe you'll rob me of my material belongings as well?"
The men were slightly taken aback, but their experience told them this was nothing out of the ordinary. Before they left, one of them inquired about the rucksack you carried.
"I need time away from all of this mess. I am going to stay at my parent's old house in Ritou. If she tries to seek me out, tell her it's futile."
They nodded solemnly and left. When their forms disappeared amongst the street goers, you breathed a sigh of relief.
You made it.
Arriving in front of Komore Teahouse, you walked around to the back. Seven knocks on the back door caused a woman dressed in a red kimono to emerge. She looked at you, a hint of compassion glimmering in her irises.
"The sparrow seeks a new nest." You spoke, and she nodded. She leads you further back, away from the safehouse. When you got to the cliff's edge, she pointed at a nearby bush and left. You moved your foot around the foliage until it hit a wooden bundle. With a firm push, the rope ladder was deployed. From the top you could see a Waverider, its capitan sitting on a log on the shore.
Before descending, you turned around to catch a final glimpse of your home. Along with the vocal crowds and falling petals were memories, images of you and her. Her smile, her tears, her embraces, her kind words…
You wiped a stray tear from your cheek.
You were doing this for the greater good, for both you and her.
Perhaps Sara would understand in time.

Resplendor of the Gods - Gloria Matri. Gloria Filio. In Saecula Saeculorum.
Tumblr media
About Resplendor:
(Part 1 of 3)
The anniversary of Raiden Makoto's death was for Ei the most painful time of any year. A reminder of when, as far as Ei is concerned, Inazuma lost its true light. Of which, in her mind, she is only a shadow.
It did not help matters that her son was also first awakened on the anniversary of this tragic day, which to Ei was a foreboding sign.
For this reason, she had at first not released to the public the divine name of her firstborn. As though to shelter it and therefore her son from the fate of the world.
It was not until she realised that on the worst of days, and through any pain her son felt, that Ei's smile was able to restore life and light to his countenance. That to her son, she was not merely a shadow. But the very light of his life.
As such, on one particular anniversary of Makoto's death and the celebration of the boy's life, the Narukami chose to reveal to her son a divine secret.
"Resplendor?" asked the young lad, sitting at the table of Tenshukaku's secluded garden which overlooked the whole of Inazuma City.
"That is correct," said Ei setting down a plate of homemade Tamago Kake Gohan. She smiled seeing that her son no longer recoiled at the sight of her cooking. A sure sign of improvement ever since taking lessons from her familiar Yae Miko.
"You mean light?" asked the boy chomping down his rice, just before correcting himself with a 'sorry' for talking with his mouthful.
Ei reached across the table and gave him a gentle pat on the head in acknowledgement of his ever-growing sense of etiquette.
Then she answered him: "Resplendor is more than light. That's just how most in the mortal world see it before they get to understand what it is. If ever."
The boy finished his third bite and then asked, "So what is it then?"
"Resplendor is the Poetry of Life made manifest," answered Ei.
"The Poetry of Life?"
"The Poetry of Life is the enchantment born of what the world is and how we experience it. A power at the very cusp of reality that rests in between life and lore. Dreaming and waking. Truth and tale," said Ei. "It lives in the love of two infatuated young people who can't help but see the other as perfect. And the love between those who've been together for years, who see each other's flaws as part of the tapestry of their life together and delight in the beauty of a bigger picture.
"It lives in the toy that to others is just one among many. But to a child, it's an irreplaceable gift given by their parent. The Poetry of Life lives in the legends people cling to that are more important than the events they recount. You experience it all the time without realising it.
“Resplendor is the power of Gods to experience this sublime poetry as a real world in and of itself. To see and experience parts of reality in a way mortals can't. But also to bring parts of that bountiful realm into the world to beautify reality and bring about new works on the tapestry of fate. That's why stories of the Gods and their powers sound so mystical. The stories themselves are a part of that Resplendor. And the divine light mortals often see is the most accessible form it can visually take."
(Part 2 of 3)
In awe of his mother's sayings, perhaps captured by the Resplendor of the moment the boy had long forgotten his meal and sat spoon in hand lingering on her every word.
"Woah," he finally managed to say. Ei smiled. Had this been any other child she would have imagined that her words had gone over their head.
But her son was a bright boy who had more 'whys' on his lips than the number of Sakura petals in all of Inazuma. And each answer he got would normally be followed by a question more complex or insightful than the ones before.
"Can every God use Resplendor?" he asked.
"In other words, is this something you can use now. But I'm going to tell you to wait till you're older. But you're going to try anyway and then hurt yourself and I'm going to have to ground you over and over because getting hurt the first time won't be enough to stop you trying again?" asked Ei.
The boy held a serious face for a few seconds. But the mask quickly slipped as he left out a sly smirk.
"Using Resplendor can occur naturally. But most of the time deliberate use takes years of practice," said Ei.
"Do you use it a lot?" asked the boy.
"I use it more now since you've been born. But in the past, that was my Raiden Makoto's area of focus. And we still see it today reflected in the beauty of this land, its people and culture," said Ei. "But using Resplendor saps from the same kind of divine life that Gods pour into the more commonly known manifestations of power. Particularly the kind you see in battle. As a seasoned warrior who has spent much of her life in defence of Inazuma against outside threats, my divine power has turned more towards manifesting this kind of force in the real world than going into and drawing from the realm of Resplendor."
The boy looked confused. "But there are plenty of warrior Gods who have stories filled with Resplendor or mystical powers. You as well," said the boy.
"Yes but these types of Gods tend to have less of them than other Gods," answered his mother. "And their Resplendor tends to manifest in the heat of battle. Which has its unique flavour of glory. But it's the kind that if you indulge in too much without the right heart, will lead to that deity having a Resplendor that tends more towards pure terror than awe. Darkness rather than light.
The dark and tainted glory of monsters, malovent spirits and beasts of the deep. Which is why Gods who don't focus on battle, tend to have a Resplendor that are more... uplifting."
"Like Uncle Venti or Aunt Nahida," said the boy.
"Exactly," answered his mother. "But for Venti often that's just him being jolly after a few drinks, rather than Resplendor. Although... it may be a unique sort of his own making."
(Part 3 of 3)
The two shared a laugh in the garden, warmed by the rising sun which heralded the dawn of day as bright as their smiles.
But soon after, the brightness on Ei's face dimmed down to a more sombre tone.
"So later on..." she started. "When we get our royal portrait done, you'll be able to use it in the future to recapture the Resplendor of our time spent on this day. A lovely Memento should the time come when I'm no longer around."
"Erosion..." said the boy with a heavy heart. He lifted his head towards the sky and narrowed his eyes with disgust at the island floating far above them.
"Yes," said Ei. "It seems that Erosion is a dark Resplendor cast upon the world by The One Who Came."
"Can't you cast it off with your Resplendor?" her son asked, desperate for any sign of hope on her face.
"Perhaps... If I cut myself off as much as I can from the throne of the heavens, forsook the mortal realm entirely and secluded myself for ages to come in deep meditation then there is a chance that this might be achieved," said Ei. "But the chances are slim and should they be altered of this because I made a mistake by not being detached enough, Inazumans are the ones who will face a most terrible curse just like... No.
“My heart is too close to the world for me to achieve it. Were I still grieving Makoto perhaps I'd find the strength to do so. But... Now... I have you."
The boy did not look comforted by these words.
"So it's my fault that you can't get stronger?" he whimpered.
"Fault?" said Ei. Immediately she rushed to his side and took him into her embrace.
"You are no fault," she said. "I have willingly poured into you the best of my Resplendors. That you may grow and nurture it and one day be free from the power of the One Who Came. That is my desire. For you to be happy and free. And to my surprise, I discovered that by giving myself up for you in this way, I have poured a Resplendor that transcends the laws of this world and planted within you the seeds of your redemption. And perhaps of Inazuma and all of Teyvat as well. You are no fault, my dear boy. If anything, you are my strength. And perhaps one day you will find others in like spirit as yourself."
"Don't worry Mother," said the boy, taking his turn to pat her on the head for once. "I'll help save you and all of Teyvat. Then we can be together forever."
Ei smiled at her dear and precious son. "Of that," she said. "I have no doubt.”
