JimmyTimmy brainrot where Timmy thinks that he's not good enough for Jimmy because he sees himself as a dependant, pathetic loser that doesn't deserve to live and feels guilty and ashamed about it but thank Gods Jimmy is a good boyfriend and comforted him.
Like, they're just, there. Sitting inside of Jimmy's lab with a guilty Timmy who just got there and trying his best not to burst into tears but somehow keeping a poker face and Jimmy working on a project.
Timmy, who's not even aware of what he's saying just randomly blurted out of no where "I'm not perfect, why are you even dating me?"
Jimmy looked at Timmy as if he just saw the sun exploding and sat up to sit next to Timmy then just went,
"Neither am I. But fortunately enough, we're perfect for eachother."
Timmy is just sitting their looking at Jimmy as if he saw God, tears threatening to go down but immediately started to sob when Jimmy hugged him rubbing soothing circles on his back while saying sweet soft words to comfort his boyfriend and future-husband.
Just
soft comfort from the both of them

Flint, Michigan, has one of the [United States]'s highest rates of child poverty — something that got a lot of attention during the city's lead water crisis a decade ago. And a pediatrician who helped expose that lead problem has now launched a first-of-its-kind move to tackle poverty: giving every new mother $7,500 in cash aid over a year.
A baby's first year is crucial for development. It's also a time of peak poverty.
Flint's new cash transfer program, Rx Kids, starts during pregnancy. The first payment is $1,500 to encourage prenatal care. After delivery, mothers will get $500 a month over the baby's first year.
"What happens in that first year of life can really portend your entire life course trajectory. Your brain literally doubles in size in the first 12 months," says Hanna-Attisha, who's also a public health professor at Michigan State University.
A baby's birth is also a peak time for poverty. Being pregnant can force women to cut back hours or even lose a job. Then comes the double whammy cost of child care.
Research has found that stress from childhood poverty can harm a person's physical and mental health, brain development and performance in school. Infants and toddlers are more likely than older children to be put into foster care, for reasons that advocates say conflate neglect with poverty.
In Flint, where the child poverty rate is more than 50%, Hanna-Attisha says new moms are in a bind. "We just had a baby miss their 4-day-old appointment because mom had to go back to work at four days," she says...
Benefits of Cash Aid
Studies have found such payments reduce financial hardship and food insecurity and improve mental and physical health for both mothers and children.
The U.S. got a short-lived taste of that in 2021. Congress temporarily expanded the child tax credit, boosting payments and also sending them to the poorest families who had been excluded because they didn't make enough to qualify for the credit. Research found that families mostly spent the money on basic needs. The bigger tax credit improved families' finances and briefly cut the country's child poverty rate nearly in half.
"We saw food hardship dropped to the lowest level ever," Shaefer says. "And we saw credit scores actually go to the highest that they'd ever been in at the end of 2021."
Critics worried that the expanded credit would lead people to work less, but there was little evidence of that. Some said they used the extra money for child care so they could go to work.
As cash assistance in Flint ramps up, Shaefer will be tracking not just its impact on financial well-being, but how it affects the roughly 1,200 babies born in the city each year.
"We're going to see if expectant moms route into prenatal care earlier," he says. "Are they able to go more? And then we'll be able to look at birth outcomes," including birth weight and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admissions.
Since the pandemic, dozens of cash aid pilots have popped up across the nation. But unlike them, Rx Kids is not limited to lower-income households. It's universal, which means every new mom will get the same amount of money. "You pit people against each other when you draw that line in the sand and say, 'You don't need this, and you do,' " Shaefer says. It can also stigmatize families who get the aid, he says, as happened with traditional welfare...
So far, there's more than $43 million to keep the program going for three years. Funders include foundations, health insurance companies and the state of Michigan, which allocated a small part of its federal cash aid, known as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.
Money can buy more time for bonding with a baby
Alana Turner can't believe her luck with Flint's new cash benefits. "I was just shocked because of the timing of it all," she says.
Turner is due soon with her second child, a girl. She lives with her aunt and her 4-year-old son, Ace. After he was born, her car broke down and she was seriously cash-strapped, negotiating over bill payments. This time, she hopes she won't have to choose between basic needs.
"Like, I shouldn't have to think about choosing between are the lights going to be on or am I going to make sure the car brakes are good," she says...
But since she'll be getting an unexpected $7,500 over the next year, Turner has a new goal. With her first child, she was back on the job in less than six weeks. Now, she hopes she'll be able to slow down and spend more time with her daughter.
"I don't want to sacrifice the time with my newborn like I had to for my son, if I don't have to," she says."

love your scholarship 🥸
do you know anything about their school/college days - ie if they liked school/had favourite subjects/took particular classes? if Quinn and Luke declared majors at mich?
also if they’ve ever said what they read? think I read that Jack says he likes to read (sports books maybe?) in his spare time and one in of Ellen’s interviews she talks about reading (to them?) and somewhere else about how she was super involved in their academics
The teacher in me is fascinated!
quinn was enrolled in the school of kinesiology and majoring in sports management.
in 2021 he said
If you weren’t a hockey player, what else might you be doing? — Veronica X. I don’t know, I love golf. I’d probably be golfing a lot. I’d be in school somewhere … I’d be a senior right now so I’d probably be getting my degree in the next couple of weeks. Maybe business or sport management? That’s what I was looking at at Michigan for two years.
luke's intended major was also sports management. he was taking a business management class and fumbled his part on a group project when he signed with the devils. he took a greek sports history class and talked about how he doesn't love school but he likes history here (worth listening to imo) and he also enjoyed history of college athletics. luke actually took an online college class before officially starting at umich
"I'm taking an online chemistry class to get it off my plate. I wake-up and do two hours of that and then I go and work out with [trainer] Brian Gallivan and then I skate and then just chill by the pool and hang out. It's been nice."
here's a snippet from quinn about books
Hughes has become an avid reader to expand his knowledge and make better use of downtime. He recently completed “The Boys in the Boat” historical epic that was made into a movie directed by George Clooney. “I buried it, it’s done,” Hughes proudly stated Tuesday after practice. “I finished it three weeks ago. Great book. Page turner. I’m reading ‘Moneyball’ now.” “Boys in the Boat” is a riveting and true account of how the Depression-era University of Washington junior varsity rowing team stunned the world by overcoming immense odds to capture gold at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. Joe Rantz was a driving force for the eight-man crew. A strong rower with an unshakeable disposition sounds a lot like the driven Hughes. “I thought Joe was just a hard worker who did his job and was a quiet guy,” said Hughes. “He appreciated everything that came his way. He pretty much raised himself from the age of 10 and was a very outdoors person.”
he apparently is "reading a book almost weekly to try to improve his brain" and he also was spotted reading Stay Sane in an Insane World: How to Control the Controllables and Thrive
jack likes reading sports books as said here, specifically Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success and Three-Ring Circus: Kobe, Shaq, Phil, and the Crazy Years of the Lakers Dynasty. The Mamba Mentality: How I Play was on his reading list in high school. he also talks about books here
Craig: The other thing that (Williams) said was reading. He said you’re asking for book recs. We’re looking for book recs. We’re big readers. Jack: Yeah, you guys got any? I dunno. (I’m tired of) everything on my phone, social media, things like that — and I never went to college, so you gotta get smarter somehow. Craig: Are you a fiction guy? Are you a self-improvement guy? What do you find yourself gravitating towards? Jack: I read a lot of sports books. “Eleven Rings,” by Phil Jackson. Also, “Greenlights” by Matthew McConaughey. Those are my favorite ones I’ve read recently. It’s important. We’ve got a lot of down time on the road, so it’s good stuff.
as for ellen, she said this in the cammi & aj podcast
So for me, you do things that you enjoy or you- you teach them things that you feel like you can teach them, Right. So it's kind of a slight on me that I wasn't more worldly and wanting to take them to museums. Or maybe like I felt like I had do those things because like, ‘Oh my God, what am I teaching them?’ But you tend to do the things that you - you're trying to find activities. Jimmy was off coaching a lot, I had three young boys that were really close in age. So what do I know? What can I do to pass time and keep them active? It was kicking a soccer ball. It was throwing a ball, it was doing rollerblading, it was passing the puck, it was taking them skating. So for me, those were mommy and me activities, right? And then every once in a while I'd be like, you know, I'd be like, ‘uh, we got to do Kumon, we gotta do like - we gotta read.’ You know, academics was really important to me because I felt like I was so driven the other way that like, I didn’t want to miss out on the other. So for us, it was never this grandiose plan, and I'm sure you guys were the same way. It was more like, ‘be the best at whatever it is you're doing, work your hardest at whatever it is you're doing.’ Working the hardest didn't mean scoring the most goals. It was playing the right way, whatever it is, being a great teammate and working really, really hard and we always felt like the other would come.
other potentially interesting notes, jack was an honor roll student in 8th grade, and quinn agreed he was the best at school when they were younger, so it's funny he's the one who didn't end up going to college. ellen's brother is actually the president of denison university and they have some pretty academic cousins also.

because you guys are being so patient and wonderful i will give you a little snippet <3
“wait—!” you shrieked, crashing into a trio of ladies that shrieked on impact, flailing as you turned to flee from the large man, but a loud, splintering shatter echoed through the entire room and the lights flickered overhead.
everything stilled and you stopped in your tracks. you looked up into the ceiling, at the chandelier overhead, stomach dropping when you saw the thing sway, then with more ear-rupturing splinters, in almost a slow-motion, began to crash down to the floor where you stood.
the entire room flooded with screams and shouts as the crowd scrambled out of the room. bodies pushed against yours and you almost fell to your knees, screeching when a hand hoisted you up and pushed you forward toward a narrow hallway stemming from the room.
a harsh german accent was in your ear, “fick mich—move, move, american!”
you did, as fast as you could, through the snaking crowd, and you clutched at your ears with a scream when gunshots rang through the room.
and when you turned to look over your shoulder, you saw a familiar broad body, clad in all black with a black mask, a tussle of dirty blonde hair shaved down on the sides of his head and pieces that hung down his forehead, and a silver scar on his upper lip with a revolver raised and aimed at Turner.
who could the harsh german accent be?????? i dont know i have no clue 😮😮

Althea Irving, 30 (USA 1989)
Althea Irving was trying to seek medical help, not abortion. According to the lawsuit filed by her sister, she went to Samaritan Medical Center on June 28, 1989.
Althea was about twelve weeks pregnant and was seeking care because she was experiencing bleeding. Although she hadn’t yet lost her baby, SMC staff told her that it was “inevitable” and put her through a “medically indicated” suction curettage abortion. They did not take the right precautions with Althea and discharged her within hours of admission even though she was already showing symptoms of a serious complication. At the time of her discharge, she had a fever of 102 degrees.
Five days later, Althea was sitting on her porch when she suddenly vomited, “keeled over” and died. She was taken back to SMC, where the ER declared her dead on arrival. They listed her cause of death on her certificate as “acute cardiopulmonary arrest.”
Althea’s sister did not know the full story behind her death until 1992, when she discovered evidence of the malpractice. SMC had discharged Althea even though she was showing signs of developing a uterine infection. This was what caused the cardiopulmonary arrest.
Unfortunately, attempts to seek justice for Althea hit a roadblock because the lawsuit was not filed immediately. The delay in filing was because Althea’s family had not discovered the malpractice until later.
The CDC counted the deaths of two unidentified Black women aged 30–34 among their deaths from legal abortion in 1989. However, during the same year, 34-year-old Debra Gray and 31-year-old Glenda Davis were also killed. Research later showed that neither cause of death was reported to the National Center for Health Statistics as abortion-related. At best, the CDC failed to notice either Althea, Debra or Glenda. At worst, they may have missed all three.

Timmy forgor arc because I'm a fucked up little shit and I want my fave to suffer because that's how I am smh
Timmy canonically puts notes on everything that's important to him because he might throw everything related to Cosmo and Wanda so it shouldn't be any different that he'll put notes on everything related to the rest of the Nicktoons
But what if he also writes everything that happened in a diary and kept it hidden in a box filled with things related to his Godfamily and the Nicktoons?
Timmy already turned 18 and the next day after his birthday, the first thing he saw when he woke up is an empty fish tank still filled with water. Timmy got super confused because why is there a fish tank here? Why does it have water when there's literally no fish inside? Then he saw the sticky note and went oh ok I guest I shouldn't throw it out then.
Throughout the day, he keeps seeing sticky notes with his hand writing on it saying "Don't throw it out me! -Timmy Turner". Timmy doesn't know the purpose of all the things because he only does this when it's actually important so he doesn't understand why there's a sticky note with the same message pinned on his old hat.
When he, Chester, and AJ hangout, they'd sometimes ask him about the things he forgotten and Timmy is just confused. His reaction are just "What?" "Since when did that happen?" "Talking to objects? Did you hit your head or something cause wtf" Chester and AJ had to suffer but didn't dive too deep into it.
That until Chester mentioned Jimmy
Timmy isn't the type to forget people that he's close and actually liked him. So when Timmy said he doesn't know who Jimmy is it caused a havoc. Chester made cards filled with things related to their childhood while AJ interogated the poor brunet's head off just to get answers so he could somehow cure his bestfriend's amnesia.
This went for Gods' know how long it just keeps going.
But hey the Nicktoons fianlly visited hoorayyyy
They didn't encounter Timmy first though, they encountered Chester and AJ. They both felt like their dreaming but soon dragged them into their shared appartment with Timmy because wtf their bestfriend's bestfriends who doesn't even know they're his bestfriends from different universes are here and oh are they glad.
Before the Nicktoons could even say something, AJ and Chester already bombered them with concerns relating to Timmy while the three are all just there sitting on a small couch and saying literally the same things as if they were one person.
Where's Timmy? What happened to his Fairy programs? What do you mean he has amnesia? He doesn't remember us? What the fuck does this mean? Is this related to the Fairy World's rules?
They were all distraught. Spongebob who's no longer in disguise is sobbing. Danny is in denial. He sees him as his kid brother and said kid brother sees him as his big brother there's no way he could've forgotten him right? He denise it, there's no way.
And Jimmy is fucking depressed. After a long time of trying to find a way to go to Timmy's universe, the first thing that was said to him was that Timmy forgot about them.
Jimmy was mad. He wasn't mad at Timmy for getting his memories erased, he was mad that he didn't do anything to prevent it. He was mad at himself. But he knew damn well that there's no way of stopping Da Rules and the rest of the Laws of the Fairy World.
Meanwhile with Timmy, he sneezed as he's currently going back to his old house to get the rest of his old stuff. Then he went to the attic and saw some weird big old box with his name written on it. The box was filled with notebooks, diaries and pictures.
Timmy was utterly bamboozled
He skimmed through some of the pages. Fairies? Ghost brother figure? A talking sponge? And he's hooked? Timmy doesn't even know anymore. Then he took the photos inside the box.
What the fuck.
Why is there a sponge? It's alive? Why is there a floating guy behind him? Who's he brunet with a weird hair style?
And why do these strangers feel so familiar?
The more he dives deep into it, the more his head hurts. Timmy decided to brush it off temporarily and took the box with him. He'll get his stuff next time.
ANYWAY the rest is up to you guys on how you want it to end I'm out of energy to write the rest ksksakjssfhasksf

We have a new full-length album, available Oct. 4 on all the streaming services. It's called "DrizzleFizzle," and it's the best thing we've done yet! Pre-orders are available now (including a limited edition CD version) on our Bandcamp page. Stay tuned for shows on Oct. 4 in Milwaukee and Oct. 5 in Chicago to celebrate!
Here's something Ike Turner (Minutes, OUT, Wowza in Kalamazoo) wrote about the album:
--
“All my life I was second best”
Ottumwa, a town of just a shade over 25,000, is situated in southeastern Iowa. There’s a very strong case to be made (outlined in Nick Reding’s Methland) that the national methamphetamine crisis was born there, spearheaded by actor Tom Arnold’s sister, Lori, who herself is probably an actual genius. She herself was far, far more significant than her “famous” brother.
This juxtaposition of the Norman Rockwell identikit of “ideal” American city with a public scourge the likes of which have been rivaled only by crack cocaine and the fairly recent pill epidemic is a key to unlocking the music of my favorite Ottumwa product, John Huston: Shit is pretty chill and cool until it gets very very unchill and very very bonkers on the turn of a dime. That trip to the bathroom for a key bump can become a fistfight in Smoker’s Alley real quick.
Huston’s long-running, Chicago-based Stomatopod have distilled their at-times-familiar-at-times-what-the-fuck sound down to its essential parts, and in doing so have created their strongest album to date.
Aided by Sharon Maloy (ex-The Dishes, Bender) on bass and backing vocals, and Elliot Dicks (of Nerves and fFlashlights) on drums, Huston fashions a song cycle that is at once tight and focused, yet in no way averse to peregrinations. The scorched-earth “Tiger Rider” blisters along, calling to mind early 90’s Chicago power pop mainstays Material Issue, with Maloy’s sugary backing vocals and bouncing bass. I have no clue what this song is about, but I feel badly for the main character here! Shit seems NOT GREAT for her.
The taut “Someone Else’s Enemies” is punctuated by Dick’s INSTANTLY recognizable snare (please try to see them play if only to witness Dick’s amazing hair flailing around in full Animal mode). Here again, the battles picked of where to deploy Maloy is expertly decided. She adds a patina of charm to everything she touches.
The centerpiece of the album is Huston’s finest song, “Ocean Slider.” I mean that quite literally, too. I’ve been listening to his music for years and years (we bonded in a hotel room at a music festival over a shared love of Roseanne), and this song winnows down his strengths into one brief glimmer of beauty. Recalling his short-lived, well-loved project Mars Hill, “Ocean Slider” unfolds like a sunset on the prairie, one I’m certain Huston witnessed thousands of times growing up where he did. When the song takes off, we’re in a smoky club in South Bend or Ann Arbor or Milwaukee in 1992, with only promise and fortune and marriages and kids in front of us. But “no one’s ever really good or smart enough; no one ever wants to be the runner up,” but at the end of the day we need Salieri as much as we do Mozart. This song scratches a very particular itch if you came up in a scene in the Midwest.
This is his finest work; he spins five plates at once and then dips out for a smoke break.
DrizzleFizzle (yes, that is what they named their album) is the most cohesive statement the band has created, and leaves me stoked for what is to come for this band.
I’m proud to know these fools, and I’m extra proud to know that someone from the veritable middle of nowhere has the rounds in the chamber to unload something as important as this work. That he’s aided by two willing compatriots in “this thing of ours” only speaks to what a significant BAND they are at this stage in their arc.
Long may they run.

„Ghibli“ (قبلی ‚Südwind‘), Manu Verneuil, Villefranche-sur-Mer 2020, 80x100cm, Acryl/Oel auf Leinwand, primäre Abstufungen in braun bestimmen die Farbgebung. 🔴
