Okay so it turns out that the downside of swimming is that because it's very gentle and keeps the temperature low enough to stave off the headache, I can overdo it a lot worse than I can walking or rowing. Kept swimming through a mild bout of vertigo this evening, then pulled myself out of the pool to discover that I was too dizzy to stand. Shook it off, got home, lay down, and suddenly found that I had an aura so severe I couldn't parse written sentences. Stood up to try a shower and got stabbed through the eye with a headache I've just now shaken after five hours in the dark. Whoops.

What's Metoclopramide? What's topamax and why is the dose on that so high? I don't know and I'm not paying attention. I'm just desperately wishing I could put my shirt back on. When theyre finished listing off all the new medications I need to take, the brush my hands put of the way where I was covering up like it's the most normal thing in the world. They start squeezing my tits, massaging them, pinching and pulling and jiggling. I'm squeezing my eyes shut wishing it was over.

My next appointment, I'm really confused for some reason. Dizzy and stupid and dim. When their shift is finally over, they take me to the clinic- It's just their house.

How do nurses/doctors prevent a person from throwing up and aspirating if they have to undergo emergency surgery (without fasting)? Or if it does happen, how do they deal with it?

They put a tube from their nose to their stomach to remove stomach contents prior to surgery (though usually after the person is unconscious). They can also use a drug called metoclopramide if there's some time, which causes the stomach to empty more quickly.
