Day 3: Connections

Nimue starts off her story with two main connections: her mother, Estelle, and her love, Yen Sid. However, after her home is swallowed by darkness because of Yen Sid's tampering with her experiments, Nimue finds herself alone in the Realm of Darkness for three decades.

The first person she makes a new connection with is Merlock. They quickly become a fearsome duo on their journey so Nimue can take revenge against Yen Sid and Merlock can benefit from the spoils of the sorcerer's magic. Over time, their alliance deepens into a friendship that neither are willing to admit, and yet it's obvious to everyone around them that they're operating on a level no one else can.

Chaos finds Nimue and Merlock at the behest of Maleficent, who has been betrayed by Merlock. However, when he finds them, he has no real interest in turning them in, as that means the fun will be over. He tags along on their journeys, intrigued to watch them as they either succeed or crash and burn spectacularly on their mission.

Owen has been in Traverse Town for several months, keeping eye on the wife and infant son of his employer, David Xanatos, after an experiment with some Heartless proved disastrous. Knowing that Fox and young Alexander are safe (which was Xanatos' one order to Owen), Owen is now eager to go out and search for him. Nimue asks him why he is so eager to follow the orders of a master he no longer serves - Owen does not flinch when he answers that Xanatos is more than a master, but treats Owen as much as family as Fox and Alex. Chaos is also drawn to Owen, and soon finds out why, as Owen is the alter ego of his old friend, the trickster Puck.

Mint is a disgraced princess who has lost her title, and is bound and determined to get it back. She and Nimue often clash on the subject of leadership, but Mint's resolve and fearlessness garners respect. (I made her hair the wrong shade of pink I'm sorry)

Hollander is a scientist who was once Ansem the Wise's partner, both in research and romance. However, when Ansem decided to abandon the experiments on the heart, Hollander was deeply upset. The scientist went on to aid Xehanort and the apprentices to set up their laboratories, but when it came time for them to destroy Radiant Garden and form Organization XIII they left him behind. In an effort to perfect his own experiments, Hollander used himself as a test subject, and is now slowly succumbing to the Darkness.

Magnifico is found when Owen can sense his presence locked inside of a mirror (as Puck himself has ties to a magic mirror). Magnifico is given the opportunity to join and reap the spoils of Yen Sid's magic if he chooses to aid their cause. He and Nimue bond over lost homes.

Harle is a mysterious girl with the appearance of a jester. She is cool, collected, intelligent and quick with words. Her dark powers are intriguing and very strong, yet she has an air of maturity and romanticism. She enjoys spending time with Chaos, Puck and Mint making mischief, but she is also a reliable source of wisdom for Nimue and Merlock. She probably has the most brain cells of the group alongside Owen.

Finally, there's Roxanne, who has been studying to be a sage of the light, but after a chance altercation with Nimue and Merlock (where she touches Nimue's keyblade), she finds herself able to summon her own keyblade. It's a symbol to Yen Sid that Nimue still has some light in her heart, and when Nimue sees she has accidentally bequeathed to this girl, she can't help but see herself when she was young: stalwart and innocent and daring. Nimue gives Roxanne a hard time when they cross paths, but Nimue can't bring herself to hurt the girl, and instead does what she can to guide her towards becoming an effective and courageous master.

Backstory time baby!!!!

Since Clay was orphaned during his infancy if I’m correct, Merlock found the poor thing in a farm on the outskirts of the countryside. The wizard would then take his nephew to the Knights Academy to train to become a night.

In this Academy, there are dorms where two or three students room together. Builds either team building or healthy rivalry! Lance and Clay would room together and not get along from the start due to Lance’s… change in attitude.

Clay was the only one who saw right through Lance’s self centered act. The blond boy would sometimes sulk by himself during free time while he would play with a lighter most of the time. Sometimes he’d stare at the flame longingly, as if it were some place he’d could never get to. During this, Clay would try and console his friend the best he could without pushing Lance’s boundaries. But whenever Clay did try asking Lance about the lighter, the blond would give him a death glare before telling him to go away.

Later on, Clay would meet Toga. The girl reminded him a lot about Lance from her blonde hair to her gorgeous canary yellow eyes. She’s sometimes flirt with him just to be funny, but he never picked up on it. However, he would see Lance smile and brighten up a bit whenever he was around his sister. Sometimes Toga would sneak into the academy and try and teach the boys how to do magic while it was lights out for everyone else.

Clay did exceptionally well with a few baby tricks, while Lance struggled in making anything happen. However, Toga eventually stopped coming to visit altogether and Lance went back to sulking and fidgeting with his lighter. Clay would try and get him to be more focused on his schoolwork, but found Lance more focused on a certain spell Toga tried teaching him a few days ago.

During her travels, Nimue makes a promise to herself that she will fade back into the darkness once she has taken revenge on Yen Sid for his betrayal.

But what do others have to say about that plan? Her newfound allies, who have discovered new paths through her leadership? Merlock, who has found a confidant (and potentially more than a friend)? Even Roxanne, Nimue's accidental student, makes a point to try and reverse fallen master's decision.

Will Nimue take a chance on creating a new life outside of her anger? Or will she let the darkness consume her one last time when all is said and done?

There will be a ton of changes to the plot and characters of the show. Right now, let’s focus on the crossover part!

Firstly, Lance and Toga will be siblings in this story his home life is close to what Toga grew up with. Lance and Toga aren’t twins either, Lance is a year older than Toga. They never got along due to Lance being self centered while Toga was more humble. The one thing they did agree on, was that their parents sucked.

Sure, Lance got everything he wanted, but his parents made him become a knight as it was traditional of all the male heirs to do so. He wanted to be an actor or an author of some kind. His creativity was immeasurable as his sister would support him despite their petty feuds. His parents were also very strict with him since he was the first born son in the family. He would go on to become a knight like his parents wanted him to, he would accept that but still try and find a way to make it into the world of cinema. He thought Toga wouldn’t be hammered by tradition since she was well… a girl and the second born child. Oh, how wrong he was.

After he left, Toga was hounded into being the perfect woman to bear children. Stuffed to the most gorgeous yet painful outfits just to look presentable for any man to oogle at. Toga would tell her brother this and break down crying over what was repeating in her new life. Lance would later come across Merlock as he finished up his conversation with Chase. Lance would plead for his sister to be saved from their parents. Merlock felt pity for the boy, and would devise a plan on doing so.

Merlock then personally asked for Toga to be his student. He needed someone to be his pupil so that he may pass down his legacy onto them when he eventually kicks the bucket. The Richmond couple were delighted as this was perfect for bragging rights and would cash in plenty of suitors.

Lance would reunite with his sister, but only for a moment before Toga would be taken to the castle to train under Merlock for the next couple of years. As the years passed, the Richmond parents would then demand their daughter be returned to them as they had found her the perfect suitor for her to marry. Merlock wouldn’t tell this information to either of the Richmond siblings, as he would send Toga away on wild quest for ancient artifacts lost to time.

Lance would only find out about his sister’s “quest” until her came home for a holiday or something like that. His parents were enraged by Merlock lying to them about not returning Toga to be married off. They prepared a wedding gown and everything.

At this, Lance would come up with a plan to burn the dress and everything his parents placed up for the engagement party. This fire would inspire Lance to love such an element as became a symbol of freedom to his sister. Now this self centered attitude was becoming a front. A character in a movie he must forever play in order to make sure no one knew about Toga or what he had done to keep her out of his parents’ grip.
